Cardi B Reacts To Offset Buying Her A Mansion In The Dominican Republic

Belcalis “Cardi B” Almánzar celebrated her 29th birthday in grand fashion this week. The “WAP” hitmaker invited a who’s who of celebrities to a Dancehall-themed party at the LA River Studios.

Plus, Cardi B’s husband, Kiari “Offset” Cephus, surprised his spouse with a special gift. The Migos rapper revealed he purchased his wife a six-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom mansion in the Dominican Republic.

Offset presented the house via a video presentation that played at the birthday celebration. Yesterday, Cardi B took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the new residence located in her father’s ancestral home country.

Cardi B wrote:

My love

For a hot minute now I’ve been telling Set that I really want to invest in short term home rental properties in the DR and other Caribbean countries (since people vacation all year around in those locations), but I felt like he didn’t agree with me and would rather put money into other investments.

Well, I was wrong 🥳. I just can’t believe this 🥺! This was sooo amazing to me. For one, I’m so happy that you were actually really listening to me and not just smiling and nodding your head so I could stop talkin to you about it 😂. Two, you don’t think my investment ideas are wack 😩 and three, I love that you asked my dad to work with you on this. You and my dad (and the 🤱🏽) are the most important men in my life and it makes me so happy that you guys are close and have your own bond and relationship.

I ♥️♥️ you so much and I can’t wait for this hangover to go away so I can show you my full appreciation 😈😈

Fat Joe Says DaBaby is a Modern Day 2Pac: DaBaby Responds

Rap City is back and one of the first big names to make an appearance on the classic BET show was Fat Joe. The Terror Squad rapper sat down with Big Tigger for an episode of “Rap City ‘21” that has landed him in some hot water.

Host Big Tigger asked Joe to make some comparisons between 90’s Hip-Hop legends and their modern-day equivalents. Making comparisons with the greats in any culture is a delicate subject that is always certain to ruffle a few feathers. When it comes to Hip-Hop, there are few names not to be played with, pretty high at the top of that list is the late, great Tupac Shakur. Play with his name or his legacy, and the Internet is coming for you!

Fat Joe knew what he was getting himself into and that he would have to tread carefully, telling the Rap City host “I hope I could do this.” When the West Coast legend’s name came up Joe was feeling the heat and told Big Tigger “You’re asking me some crazy stuff.” He took some time to think before giving his answer, saying this is one comparison he should know:

“I should know the 2Pac one. I don’t know, it’s hard to be these guys. You be asking some crazy stuff. I would say DaBaby,” Joe answered finally. Tigger didn’t say much in response but many took to social media to voice their opinion. Joey Crack comparing the two was going too far for many who thought DaBaby doesn’t compare musically, but also because of the controversial comments he made in the summer.

One person who agreed was DaBaby, who took to Instagram to give his response.

“Agreed,” DaBaby wrote on Instagram in the caption “But they gone salt that down to Crack,” he wrote with a shhh, quiet emoji.

Fortunately for Fat Joe, his other answers didn’t receive the same backlash. He said the new Jay-Z right now is Compton rapper, Kendrick Lamar. The 2021 equivalent to Bay Area icon E-40 is Rod Wave because “they both big boys and that boy got something.”

He also gave his verdict on who is his modern-day equivalent. “Yeah, there is a new Fat Joe. Nems,” he said and went further saying of the Coney Island emcee, “this guy’s crazy, when I see him, I see me.”

However, there were two legends that the Bronx spitter found impossible to compare to anyone in today’s scene; Lauren Hill and Mc Hammer! He couldn’t recall anyone “who’s dancing they ass off” like Hammer and said Ms. Lauren Hill is “probably the No. 1 female rapper of all time, and she sing! She’s goated.”

Big Ree Talks How Covid-19 Helped Him Rise To The Top In The DMV & How His Hit Song Is Just A Start

Big Ree Talks How Covid-19 Helped Him Rise To The Top In The DMV & How His Hit Song Is Just A Start Ree has managed to make the most of the pandemic. “Pour Up,” the lead single off the “Just Ree” project has broken through. “Pour Up” persists as a club hit that found its origins in the DMV (D.C. / Maryland / Virginia) and already has a remix. “Pour Up” peaked as a number 1 hit this year, according to District Breakers Indie Chart. At 19, Ree cannot even get into the clubs that play the drinking anthem. He may be young, but Ree has already worked with a number of notables including producers Chucky Thompson (Notorious BIG, Nas, Diddy, Mary J. Blige) and Schife Karbeeno (Yo Gotti, Busta Rhymes, Fredo Bang, Kodak Black). On the horizon is a collaboration with Tafia, who is signed to Meek Mill’s DreamChaser’s label. Ree’s “Pour Up Remix” is out now.

Megan Thee Stallion Says Social Media Trolls Dehumanize People

Megan Thee Stallion opened up about her experiences with social media trolls during an appearance on Facebook Watch’s Peace of Mind with Taraji.

Actress Taraji P. Henson and her co-host Tracie Jade asked Megan Thee Stallion about the rapper’s relationship with social media. Hot Girl Meg said fame comes with a price on platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.

“When you famous in this day and age, you really open yourself up for people to say anything to you because you are in the light,” she stated. “They feel like they can talk to you any kind of way. They kind of dehumanize you a little bit.”

Megan Thee Stallion admitted online trolling affected her when she emerged in the public eye. She was shocked by some of the things people would say to her.

“When I used to read things, it would be like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe this mother– said that this,’” she recalled. “You don’t even know me! I used to have the urge to wanna just check everybody. ‘Cause if I was on the street, would you walk up to somebody on the street and say that to them? No. ‘Cause some of the things they say are really insane.”

Although Megan Thee Stallion learned to roll with the punches, she reminded haters that she’ll respond on occasion.

“Don’t get too out of line because sometimes I may say something back,” she declared. “I don’t know. It depends on how I’m feeling.”

Megan Thee Stallion also revealed some of her harshest criticism comes from bruising men’s egos. She believes certain people can’t handle an unapologetic Black woman.

“I might say something, and it might bruise a man’s ego and that’s not my intention,” she explained. “And sometimes it be hard for people to digest that. When a woman is being unapologetically herself, especially a Black woman being naturally her Black self, I feel like some people are offended by it. And I think that’s really crazy.”

Jay-Z Takeover Of Marijuana Business Continues With $19 Million Investment In Cannabis Tech Company

Jay-Z has invested in Flowhub, a cannabis retail software company.

Flowhub received a $19 million investment from Jay-Z and the venture firms Headline and Poseidon. The Denver-based tech company helps dispensaries by providing compliance, point of sale, inventory tracking and business intelligence solutions.

“We are thrilled to announce this capital raise,” Flowhub founder and CEO Kyle Sherman said in a press release. “Headline is an incredible Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm, Poseidon is a pioneer investor in the cannabis industry and Jay-Z is a cultural and creative global force no matter the industry he is involved in.”

Sherman added, “I couldn’t think of a better group to be working with as we take this company to the next stage. This funding not only underscores the significant value that Flowhub provides to our customers, but also the maturation of the cannabis industry at large. We remain committed to developing innovative products that help our retail customers run better businesses.”

Jay-Z’s investment in Flowhub continues his major moves in the cannabis market. Earlier this year, the Hov-backed marijuana conglomerate The Parent Company purchased a Santa Barbara-based cannabis dispensary and delivery operator in a deal for up to $65 million.

The Roc Nation boss and The Parent Company also made history this year when they hired Troy Datcher to be its CEO. The move made Datcher the first Black CEO to lead a major public cannabis business in the United States.

Nicki Minaj Defends Ex-Little Mix-er Jesy Nelson in Blackfishing Controversy

Jesy Nelson’s journey back to the top of the pops was marred by a blackfishing controversy — but Nicki Minaj rode to her rescue.

In a conversation with Nicki Minaj over Instagram Live, the former star of the girl group Little Mix denied trying to “blackfish” her audience. (Blackfishing is when, basically, a white girl pretends to be Black.) She said that she never got facial fillers, or used a tanning bed to try to appear darker than she was. Rather, the reason she looked “darker” was because she’d gone to Antigua before the video shoot, and got a tan from laying out in the sun.

Nicki Minaj even defended Nelson against some Barbs that seemed to call her out on what they felt was nonsense.

“Stop trying to hurt people and kill people’s lives and careers. This is the way people feed their families,” she said on Instagram Live. “Stop. If you want a solo career, baby girl, just say that. Only jealous people do things like this.”

This isn’t the first time that Nelson has been accused of blackfishing, but she insists that she never meant to hurt anybody.

“I personally want to say that my intention was never, ever to offend people of color with this video and my song because, like I said, growing up as a young girl, this is the music that I listened to,” Nelson said, according to The Guardian.

The 31-year-old rapper turned himself in to police on Tuesday. He was booked on a felony domestic violence charge.

Tyga, whose real name is Michael Stevenson, is accused of injuring his ex-girlfriend Camaryn Swanson. His bail was set at $50,000.

According to TMZ, Tyga and his ex got into an altercation at his home on Monday morning. Swanson showed up around 3 a.m. and was let inside the house.

Police went to Tyga’s home to question him on Monday morning, but he refused to speak with them at the time. He opted to tell his side of the story on Tuesday.

Swanson shared photos of her apparent injuries via Instagram. The pictures displayed bruising around her eyes.

“I’ve been emotionally, mentally and physically abused and I’m not hiding it anymore,” she wrote on Instagram Stories.

Swanson also denied a portion of TMZ’s original story, which claimed she was screaming and showed up to Tyga’s house uninvited. She alleged he assaulted her when she tried to leave and kept her in the house for hours.

“I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself,” she wrote in another post.

Tyga hasn’t publicly commented on his arrest as of Tuesday afternoon but he posted the $50,000 bail and has been released.

Dame Dash Goes Global With New Docu-Series And Joint Venture

Dame Dash has always been on that next level as an entertainment visionary.

So, it should be no shock that he is taking his movement international, mapping out a way to Harlem shake on Europe, Africa, and Asia with his new TV and film venture.

The man behind much of Roc-A-Fella Records’ success is also one of the first in Hip-Hop history to venture into films, starting back in the 90s. He was responsible for such hood classics as “Paid in Full,” “State Property” and “Paper Soldiers.”

He helped finance films like The Woodsman with Kevin Bacon, David Alan Grier, Benjamin Bratt, Eve and Mos Def, and notoriously, Lee Daniel’s award-winning film “Precious.”

As a TV executive, his stamp is behind shows (that he stars in) like “The Ultimate Hustler” and “Growing Up Hip Hop.”

Now Damon will host and co-produce a 10-episode docuseries called “Hip-Hop Invasion” through his joint venture with the Dutch broadcast media company 4Mat Factory.

The series will chronicle the explosion of Hip-Hop culture in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa, China, Japan, Poland, Brazil, Turkey, and other countries worldwide.

4Mat Factory COO Lydia de Vreede said of the new venture, “Our partnership with Dame Dash Studios and the current projects is just the beginning of greater things to come.”

Some of the great things to come outside of “Hip-Hop Invasion” are “Rocky Road,” a documentary about IVF and infertility, and an animated series called “Dusko Goes to Space.” Both are projects produced by Dash’s life partner, Raquel M. Horn.

4Mat Factory and Damon Dash Studios will also release the full-length film “Honor Up,” featuring Dame and Cam’ron, executive produced by Kanye West.

Two weeks ago, Damon Dash Studios announced that it would be bringing original content to FOX SOUL every Saturday at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET beginning October 9. The 4-hour block will feature a mix of film, cultural music, talk, and health.

Kyrie Irving Benched By Brooklyn Nets Over Anti-Vaccine Stance

New York is serious about its vaccination laws, and no one is exempt. Just ask Kyrie Irving, the Brooklyn Nets player that has firmly presented his public anti-vaxxer position to his fans.

Welp, now he has to sit out some games because of his controversial decision.

According to the NY Post, the point guard has been removed from the team’s roster until he gets the shot.

Brooklyn general manager Sean Marks said in a statement, “Given the evolving nature of the situation and after thorough deliberation, we have decided Kyrie Irving will not play or practice with the team until he is eligible to be a full participant.”

Irving is one of the most exciting players in the Brooklyn Nets’ history.

“Kyrie has made a personal choice, and we respect his individual right to choose,” he continued. “Currently the choice restricts his ability to be a full-time member of the team, and we will not permit any member of our team to participate with part-time availability.”

New York City has a mandate that people cannot enter into an establishment unless they are vaccinated. The All-Star player’s refusal to abide by the city’s law means he will not be able to play in the Barclay Center or Madison Square Garden. While other cities would allow him to hoop in their arenas, the Nets’ management wants him all-in, playing every game or none at all.

Marks further stated, “It is imperative that we continue to build chemistry as a team and remain true to our long-established values of togetherness and sacrifice.”

“Our championship goals for the season have not changed, and to achieve these goals each member of our organization must pull in the same direction. We are excited for the start of the season and look forward to a successful campaign that will make the borough of Brooklyn proud.”

Owner Joe Tsai also noted that this is a personal choice for Kyrie.

“So Kyrie talks about it as a sort of personal choice issue, which I respect.” he shared.

He also expressed, “I’m a total believer in having that in the fact that vaccine actually protects you from getting sick, getting real sick. Now the other thing is, I also believe that taking the vaccine is also a social good. It’s just part of social responsibility, because you’re not only protecting yourself, but you’re protecting other people.”

Kyrie has not publicly made a statement but posted, “I am protected by God and so are my people. We stand together.”

This story is developing.

Offset Buys Cardi B Luxurious Home In The Dominican Republic For Her Birthday

Cardi B celebrated her 29th birthday, and if you follow her life, you know that her husband always gets her something outrageous.

This year, Offset didn’t disappoint.

During her party at the L.A. River Studios on Monday, he presented her with the keys to a new home.

Offset took the mic to share with the revelers his gift, directing everyone’s attention to a big screen where he showed off the new estate. He purchased a brand new house in the Dominican Republic, surrounded by palm trees and sand.

One of the features that make this house extra cool is the pool on the roof.

The party was elite.

The invite-only guest list included names like Snoop Dogg, Taraji P. Henson, Chance the Rapper, Normani, Tiffany Haddish, Teyana Taylor, 2 Chainz, Lizzo, Winnie Harlow, PnB Rock, Anitta, Larsa Pippen, Karrueche Tran, Jourdan Pauline, and Trey Songz.

They feasted on West Indian foods like jerk chicken, oxtail, plantains, and rice & peas while dancing to classic dancehall tunes.

Wondering why the Migos chart-topper chose the island for the couple’s new residence? Cardi B’s family is from DR. Her mother is from Trinidad, and her father is from the Dominican Republic.

She once shared about her ethnicity, “One thing that always bothers me is that people know so little about my culture. We are Caribbean people.”

In addition to embracing her Caribbean heritage, she has no problem considering herself Afro-Latina. As far as she is concerned, she is a Black woman.

“Some people want to decide if you’re Black or not, depending on your skin complexion, because they don’t understand Caribbean people or our culture,” she told The Fader. “I don’t got to tell you that I’m Black. I expect you to know it… I expect people to understand that just because we’re not African American, we are still Black. It’s still in our culture. Just like everybody else, we came over here the same f##king way. I hate when people try to take my roots from me.”

Happy Birthday Cardi, and we are still wondering why our invites keep getting lost in the mail!

Boosie Claims The LGBTQ Community “Bullied” DaBaby Over Homophobic Comments

Boosie Badazz still has a lot to say about any topics related to the LGBTQ community. He infamously chastised Dwyane Wade for supporting his transgender daughter Zaya and threatened to assault openly gay rapper Lil Nas X.

The Southern rhymer was very outspoken about Lil Nas X kissing a male backup dancer during his 2021 BET Awards performance. Boosie also defended DaBaby after he was criticized for making perceived homophobic remarks at the Rolling Loud Miami event.

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of [those] deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” DaBaby told the Rolling Loud Miami crowd.

The Interscope recording artist continued, “Ladies, if your p#### smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking a n####’s dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

DaBaby apologized for his comments before he walked back that apology. As a result of the negative reactions and failing to record another apology video to be played before his sets, several festivals removed DaBaby from their lineups.

Boosie Is P*ssed At “Them People”

Boosie Badazz is still backing DaBaby’s original rant about homosexual men and people living with HIV/AIDS. The 38-year-old Goat Talk 3 creator spoke to VladTV about the “Rockstar” hitmaker’s controversial words directed at the LGBTQ community.

“I was p##### at them people, because I just feel like they were trying to teach him a lesson. For the next big rapper, if you on top like this, if you ever do this, this is what’s gonna happen to you,” said Boosie.

The Baton Rouge-bred rapper added, “I feel like they really bullied him. That’s what I felt like they did. I feel like the community – they bullied him. What he said, deejays say this s### every night… We say s### when we’re turning up the crowd. That’s all a part of your performance. I feel like they bullied him.”

Boosie, DaBaby & Dave Chappelle Have All Faced Backlash From LGBTQ Groups

Previously, Boosie Badazz complained that “in 10 years it ain’t going to be normal for a kid to be straight.” He also suggested “God is doing backflips” because of LGBTQ representation in mass media.

DaBaby was back in the news over the last week after he was mentioned in Dave Chappelle’s The Closer stand-up special on Netflix. Chappelle also faced significant backlash for his comments about the LGBTQ community and the TERF movement.

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos showed support for Dave Chappelle and The Closer. Sarandos wrote, “As with our other talent, we work hard to support their creative freedom – even though this means there will always be content on Netflix some people believe is harmful.”

Joyner Lucas Promises To Stop Dragging Karen Civil

Last month, Karen Civil found herself in a media firestorm after numerous people in the entertainment industry blasted her for alleged unsavory business practices. For example, Hip Hop artist Joyner Lucas accused Civil of stealing $60,000 from him.

Joyner Lucas recently did an interview with Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning radio show. The Massachusetts native spoke about his issues with Karen Civil, and he is apparently ready to move on from the scandal.

“I wanna go on record to say that I spoke to Karen and at the time that I spoke to Karen, she had a lot of public scrutiny from a lot of other people,” Joyner Lucas told Ebro Darden. “I started feeling bad a little bit.”

Lucas added, “So, I stopped. I had a conversation with her and I promised her I wasn’t just gonna keep dragging her name through the mud… At this point, I feel bad. I don’t want to drag shorty’s name through the mud.”

According to Joyner Lucas, his conversation with Karen Civil included the Be You & Live Civil author explaining her side of the situation. Lucas stated, “I realized that I don’t feel like it was malicious. I don’t think anything that she did was malicious. I just felt like she was in over her head.”

Karen Civil Faces Multiple Accusations Of Underhanded Business

Joyner Lucas was not the only high-profile figure to accuse Karen Civil of conducting shady, and possibly illegal, tactics behind the scenes. Rap stars Cam’ron and Meek Mill as well as Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee slammed Civil over the last few years.

Back in 2016, Cam’ron claimed Karen Civil stole $60,000 from fellow Dipset member DukeDaGod. A year later, Meek Mill complained about Civil supposedly sending negative stories about him to celebrity blogs.

Jason Lee called out Karen Civil in July 2021. The Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood alum said Civil hired a 17-year-old hacker to take down his Hollywood Unlocked Instagram account

During a Clubhouse session, Karen Civil openly admitted to enlisted someone to cyberattack the Hollywood Unlocked Instagram page. Lee is now considering legal action against the digital media marketing specialist.

Meek Mill Lands 10 ‘Expensive Pain’ Songs On The Hot 100 Chart

Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill dropped his Expensive Pain album on October 1. The project opened at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart with 110.53 million on-demand streams.

Over on the Hot 100, Meek Mill added more entries to his lifetime total. The latest rankings of the most popular songs in America include 10 tracks by the Dreamchasers frontman.

“Sharing Locations” featuring Lil Baby and Lil Durk peaked at #23 after spending six weeks on the tally. In addition, “Intro (Hate on Me)” also made it into the Top 40 at #36.

“Blue Note$ II” featuring Lil Uzi Vert re-entered the Hot 100 at #72. It previously peaked at #87 on the chart dated September 18, 2021.

Expensive Pain premiered with 95,000 first-week album-equivalent units. Meek Mill has now scored seven Top 10 projects on the Billboard 200 throughout his career.

For his latest body of work, Meek Mill recruited Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Kehlani, A$AP Ferg, Moneybagg Yo, Giggs, Young Thug, Vory, Lil Uzi Vert, and Brent Faiyaz as guest features.

Nicki Minaj & Kenneth Petty Face Default Judgment In Sexual Assault Victim’s $20 Million Lawsuit

Nicki Minaj and her partner Kenneth Petty are accused of not responding to a federal lawsuit. The plaintiff in the case requests that a judge grant her a default against the Pettys.

According to Radar Online, Jennifer Hough sued Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty for $20 million in damages over accusations of intimidation and inflicting emotional distress. Petty was convicted of sexually assaulting Hough in 1995

Jennifer Hough claims the Pettys and their associates have been pressuring her to recant her story of being raped by Kenneth Petty. Allegedly, Nicki Minaj and Petty wanted the retraction in order to get Kenneth’s name removed from the sex offender registry.

Kenneth Petty Was Arrested For Failing To Register As A Sex Offender

Kenneth Petty failed to register as a sex offender in the state of California. He was arrested in March 2020 and later pled guilty to one count of failing to register

Jennifer Hough recently made an appearance on The Real daytime talk show. She discussed her concerns about Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty’s alleged harassment.

Nicki Minaj has not publicly addressed Jennifer Hugh’s allegations. However, the Queen album creator did like a tweet that appeared to be a reaction to Hough’s sit down with The Real.

Back in the 1990s, Kenneth Petty was charged with first-degree rape before he pled guilty to attempted rape. He served four years in prison for that conviction. Petty also served time for 1st-degree manslaughter after pleading down from a 2nd-degree murder charge.

Netflix CEO Defends Dave Chappelle’s ‘The Closer’ Special

Dave Chappelle has been at the center of controversy for the last several days. His latest stand-up special, The Closer, was met with criticism from LGBTQ groups such as the National Black Justice Coalition.

NBJC Executive Director David Johns even called for Netflix to remove The Closer from its platform. However, the streaming service does not seem to be headed in that direction.

According to Variety, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos sent a memo to the company’s employees following a quarterly business review. Sarandos defended Dave Chappelle’s comedy.

“Chappelle is one of the most popular stand-up comedians today, and we have a long-standing deal with him. His last special Sticks & Stones, also controversial, is our most-watched, stickiest, and most award-winning stand-up special to date,” wrote Ted Sarandos.

He added, “As with our other talent, we work hard to support their creative freedom — even though this means there will always be content on Netflix some people believe is harmful.”

Netflix reportedly suspended three employees, including a transgender woman, for crashing the executive meeting. An investigation into the matter is said to be pending.

Dave Chappelle also does not seem to be too concerned about the criticism directed at The Closer. The five-time Emmy winner is quoted telling the crowd at a screening of his upcoming documentary, “If this is what being canceled is about, I love it.”

The Closer is currently the #3 most-watched program on Netflix in the United States. It only trails Squid Game and Maid in viewership at the moment. 2019’s Sticks & Stones won a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album and three Primetime Emmy Awards.

Following the video’s release, former Little Mix band member, Jesy, who is white, was called out for cultural appropriation and Blackfishing.

The Queens rapper weighed in on the debate and hopped on Instagram Live with Jesy. When the conversation turned to the British singer’s ex Little Mix bandmate, Nicki called her “a big jealous bozo.”

This weekend screenshots were leaked, allegedly between Instagram user @nohun_ and Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock. The singer appears to suggest influencer @nohun_ make a video about Jesy “Blackfishing.” She also claims Jeys blocked her former bandmates calling Jesy a “horrible person.”

“Sweetheart, take them text messages and shove it up your f###### ass,” Nicki said. “When you do clown s###, I gotta treat you and talk to you like you a clown.”

Nicki continued and implied that Leigh-Anne’s timing is suspect because she was “in this woman’s roof and you ain’t talk about this s### for 10 years.” Questioning her motivation, she continued:

And as soon as you see she got a video coming out with Nicki Minaj and Puffy, now you sending stations text messages and all this s###, print those messages out, buss yo ass open and shove it up your m############ ass.”

But Nicki was not done there. Later on Monday evening, she posted a series of videos to her Instagram which were deleted a few hours later.

In the videos the “Starships” rapper suggests people are being selective with their backlash:

“Black people get on this s### every day and praise Kylie Jenner and Kim and all the girls in their family. And if you pull up a before and after of Kylie her shade is probably like 20 shades darker from how she looked as a kid. She has bigger lips now. She hangs out with black people. Is she blackfishing? No. I still commend her and compliment her and tell her ‘You that b####.’”

Referring to Leigh-Anne, Nicki questions why “shorty in the group” and critics in the U.S and U.K are only now voicing their outrage when Jesy has been selling millions of records over the last decade.

She also wonders if the outrage is centered around her and not Jesy Nelson as rapper/singer BIA was called out for Blackfishing when they put out a song together but not when she worked with Ross.

Whispering intently into the camera she said, “I don’t care, ok. You can’t steal my joy, that’s why y’all are really mad.”

She further questions which forms of cultural appropriation are acceptable, citing various examples where people seem to get a pass.
