Rap Slang Popularized By Snoop Dogg Gets White News Anchor Fired

Mississippi news anchor and meteorologist Barbie Bassett has been reportedly fired from her position at WLBT after making racially insensitive comments on air.

During a recent morning broadcast, Bassett used the phrase “Fo shizzle, my nizzle,” which is slang for “for sure, my n####.” The comment has led to her removal from the news team.

Bassett, a long-time WLBT journalist, was a prominent member of the news station. However, her bio has been removed from the station’s website, where all of the on-air bios are located.

This action seems to confirm the social media reports that she has been terminated from her position as a morning anchor.

The incident has sparked a conversation about the use of racially insensitive language and the responsibilities of media professionals in maintaining an inclusive and respectful environment.

It is unclear whether Bassett will release a statement or apology in relation to the incident, but this is not the first time basset has been accused of making racially insensitive comments on the air.

In November, she was forced to apologize after she referred to fellow news reporter Carmen Poe’s grandmother as “grandmammy” during a live on-air broadcast.

She released a statement after that controversy which read:

“Last Friday on our newscast ‘Today at 11’, I used a term that was offensive to many in our audience and to my coworkers here at WLBT. Though not intentional, I now understand how my comment was both insensitive and hurtful. I have apologized to Carmen Poe.

“Now, I would like to apologize to you. That is not the heart of who I am. And for that, I humbly ask for your forgiveness and I apologize to everyone I have offended. I will learn from this and participate in training so I can better understand our history and our people.

I can’t mend the hurt my comment caused. I pray you’ll forgive me and that you’ll extend grace through this awful mistake.”

WLBT has not issued an official statement on the matter, but the removal of Bassett’s bio from their website suggests that the station is distancing itself from the growing controversy.

Tessa Thompson Has Never Eaten A Hamburger

Tessa Thompson has “never” eaten a hamburger before.

Earlier this month, the “Creed III” actress revealed during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that she had never tried eggs but was convinced by the TV host to taste a little scrambled egg with hot sauce.

And during another interview, Tessa also admitted that she had no desire to order a hamburger either.

“I’ve never had a hamburger in my life. It’s the only thing extraordinary that I can still claim,” she said, noting that she’s not a vegetarian: “I eat other things, I’ve just never had a hamburger.”

As for her recent experience trying eggs, Tessa admitted that she probably will be in a relaxed mood to eat them again soon.

“I had never had one of those (until recently). I don’t think they’re great,” she shared, revealing that she is unimpressed by their versatility. “That’s the problem with them. It’s like, pick a lane.”

However, Tessa then acknowledged that she loves potatoes, another versatile food.

Snoop Dogg Ready To Rock Westminster Abbey At King Charles lll’s Coronation Ceremony

Snoop Dogg has expressed his interest in performing at King Charles III’s coronation.

While speaking to The Sun in an interview, the “Gin and Juice” rapper revealed he wanted to play at the coronation ceremony for King Charles III, scheduled for May 6th this year at Westminster Abbey.

“I’m down to perform at the coronation,” Snoop told the outlet. “Make it happen.”

Stars including Sir Elton John, Adele, and Harry Styles have previously declined the gig, according to reports.

Snoop last expressed his love for the late Queen Elizabeth II in a 2015 Guardian interview, recalling her support for his 1994 U.K. tour when he faced murder charges that he was later acquitted for.

Due to the charges, public sentiment in England had turned against him.

“When they tried to kick me out of England, the Queen made a comment that her grandbabies loved Snoop Doggy Dogg, and he had done no wrong in Britain, so she gave me permission to be here,” the rapper recounted. “Those grandbabies grew up to be Prince William and Harry, so I had influence on them, and they had influence on their grandmother, which enabled me to get into this beautiful country. They love my music, and it is what it is.”

Blac Chyna Is Going Through Major Changes

Blac Chyna has been going through some serious changes as of late. And I want to talk about it!

First of all, the beauty has been fully committed to taking us on a journey with her. So, let’s start about the physical. She has taken out all of the foreign parts in her body. The breasts, the butt and the fillers in her face: Gone! Here’s what she’s looking like recently.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CqMLWG0PAvW/?hl=en

Doesn’t she look happy and healthy? Oh yeah, her name is Angela White! She’s telling us everything about her. She put up some images of her getting stuff removed from her face and why you (people thinking about that) should do the same.

So, what next?

I think she is about to be a living, breathing testimony of the EVILS in this world of entertainment. “I got baptized on 5-11-22 ….. I was watching the video again and wanted to show you this because if you look closely at my mouth you can hear the spirits leaving my body. God is Good 🙌🏽” she says in another post of the baptism.

The other thing she did was break up with her man of three years, Lil Twin. In a recent interview, they asked Chyna about her love life and she said said she needs to be alone and focus on her kids, her healing, her businesses. And that means “No man.” she may come back around lil homie, but only when she feels “whole.”

Last year, she was on this wave.

Now she, is on a God-fearing, positive, natural and healthy wave.

Creed Star Jonathan Majors Accused Of Assaulting Woman

“Creed III” star Jonathan Majors was arrested Saturday for allegedly assaulting a woman, the New York Police Department said in a statement released to the public. He has denied all wrongdoing.

“He has done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up,” a rep for the star told The Hollywood Reporter.

Reports say a 911 call was played stating that a 33-year-old male and a 30-year-old female had a domestic dispute in a Chelsea, New York apartment.

“The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident,” the statement read. Police charge that the woman was injured on her head and neck and was subsequently taken to an area hospital.

He was charged with strangulation, assault and harassment charges.

Majors is on a fast track to megastardom. He is slated to play super villain Kang in numerous movies with Marvel Studios. He expected to be the central figure in “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,” which is expected to drop May 2, 2025. Most recently, he appeared in Kang in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.”

Judge Joe Brown Says He Will Sue If People Say He Sexually Assaulted Sheryl Lee Ralph

Judge Joe Brown, a tough-talking television judge that holds the honor of being the first African American person to preside over a long-running courtroom series, wants everyone to know he never sexually assaulted actress Sheryl Lee Ralph. He promises he will sue anyone who publicly names him as the person she spoke about in a recent interview with Angela Yee.

Lee Ralph said during a clip of the interview from the “Way Up” show now surfacing on the internet, “I could tell you another time this was a famous TV judge, not Judge Mathis, I love him … He’s a great man … not him …  another one.”

“I’m at a very public place …  I had my suit on. I was handling my business for the television show I was on at that time. He and I were on the same network,” she recalled. “This man walked in, grabbed me by the back of my neck, turned me around, and rammed his nasty tongue down my throat.”

She said she was outraged, claiming everyone from the network saw it.

Lee Ralph said she called Marc H. Moriel, the former mayor of New Orleans and current President of the National Urban League, to ask him for support. But she did not leave a name.

The public named it for her alleging that the mystery judge was Judge Joe Brown.

The syndicated O.G., who before he retired was only second to Judge Judy as the longest-running judge show on air, quickly denied being the man in question. He also said no one should play with his name either.

“This is a warning. I might bring in my legal crew and proceed for defamation of character,” he said. “You see when they put my face next to hers and they start doing that little stuff there, that becomes innuendo.”

Adding, “that’s very destructive to my reputation.”

According to Brown, he has a “long track record of ensuring that women get justice,” and has spent “the last half-century protecting womanhood and promoting manhood.”

Fans hit the comment section of The Neighborhood Talk’s Instagram post saying, “A hit dog” I mean yeah, they been hitting him on Twitter since it came out. Why we acting like the assumption wasn’t made🙄.”Another person said, giving the judge the benefit of a doubt, “Y’all acting dense like some people have addressed, he’s not a hit dog hollering that man is being accused of something serious with facts or proof from the horse’s mouth. Y’all are the problem and then y’all act dumb and even dumber when proven wrong.”

CeeLo Addresses Criticism Following Horse Mishap At Shawty Lo’s Birthday Party

CeeLo Green went viral earlier this week after he attempted to make a grand entrance at Shawty Lo’s birthday party. Riding in on a horse, the Goodie Mob legend was all smiles until the animal got spooked and fell to the floor, simultaneously launching CeeLo into the air.

While Twitter erupted with memes and jokes, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) wasn’t amused. The organization criticized the move and found it harmful to the animal. On Friday (March 23), CeeLo addressed the mishap on his Instagram account and promised he didn’t intend any malice.

“Yoooo so listen, y’all know me right?” he began. “Y’all know I’m off the chain are you really that surprised? #lol about the other night…I felt like it could be fun and funny to make a grand entrance on this beautiful animal for a very special occasion in our city of #atlanta, birthday party/ celebration of life for our deceased beloved, Shawty Lo.

” FYI I love animals of all kinds. I actually live on a ranch) I was with friends and family who all know my sense of humor. That’s how I show #love. We went through all the proper channels to make that happen with no ill intent towards the animal. It should’ve been short and sweet but some malfunctions happened and it is what it is but know that I’m ok and yes the horse is ok as well. I’ll chalk it up as another day at the office being…..me. Thank you to all of the fans and supporters for your love and concern. Long live LO.”

John Cena Explains How Freestyling Hip-Hop Lyrics Helped Him Become A WWE Superstar

WWE superstar John Cena really loves Hip-Hop.

In an interview with Andrew Santino on the “Whiskey Ginger w/ Andrew Santino,” he revealed not only does he know bar-for-bar Lloyd Banks songs, but that rapping, a skill he used to get bullied for as a teen, saved his job with the largest wrestling company in the world.

During his early days of wrestling, he didn’t click with the audience and was on the road to being fired. He said while participating in a bus tour overseas with other new guys, he was in the back of the bus freestyling. Busting a rhyme for his friends changed the trajectory of his career.

“In the front of the bus was Stephanie McMahon and she was head of the writing team at the time,” he recalled. “She was like ‘How did you remember all that?’ and I kind of explained to her the concept of freestyle.”

She told him to make up something about her on the spot and after he ripped it, she asked him if he would be open to putting it into his routine and debuting it on the Halloween episode of Smackdown that year.

Ironically, though he practiced freestyling every day in high school and in college, sharpening his sword in a major way, growing up he was bullied for loving the culture.

He revealed to the host, “I got bullied for listening to Hip-Hop music growing up in West Newbury MA.”

His town, according to him, only had 1,200 people.

“It was all jeans and Rock N’ Roll,” he explained. “Like hair bands and metal. And in the late 80s, early 90s, I loved Hip-Hop.”

“I would dress like Kid ‘N Play … House Party style with rayon polka dots … wingtip shoes, you name it,” he proudly proclaimed, before adding he also rocked his pants like the So So Def group, Kriss Kross.

“I got harassed and beat up every day,” he shared on the podcast.

Though mild-mannered and even-toned, Cena does the beating up now— and surprisingly the culture that he used to be mocked over is the number one culture in the world.

SIGNS: The Robots Are Taking Over! AI Lawyer Reps Suspect!

AI is all the rage at this point in our lives. I find it a bit scary that art, music, jobs and more are now being taken over. Right now, an AI could do what I am doing. That sucks! Personally, I draw the line at doctors and lawyers! And guess what’s next? The first AI-powered robot was slated to represent a defendant in an upcoming court case. Check out what I found on IG.

However, I did a bit of research and found out that the situation has been scrapped.

A “robot” lawyer powered by artificial intelligence was set to be the first of its kind to help a defendant fight a traffic ticket in court next month. But the experiment has been scrapped after “State Bar prosecutors” threatened the man behind the company that created the chatbot with prison time.

Joshua Browder, CEO of DoNotPay, on Wednesday tweeted that his company “is postponing our court case and sticking to consumer rights.”

Never fear! The future is on the way. The CBS report revealed that this technology has already been helping in other legal cases. Joshua Browder has stated that his invention has already helped with refunds for in-flight Wifi that didn’t work, lowering bills and fighting parking tickets. I think I need this dudes to help me! There’s a warrant out for me for unpaid tickets. Lucky for me, I no longer leave the house since the pandemic.

Troy Ave Drops “Dear Hater I Won” Diss Track Following Taxstone’s Guilty Verdict

It was only a matter of time. Hours after Taxstone was found guilty in the 2016 killing of Troy Ave’s bodyguard Ronald McPhatter, the rapper responded—with a diss track. On Thursday (March 23), Troy Ave released “Dear Hater I Won (Taxstone Found Guilty),” which finds him questioning the podcaster’s street credibility.

The song kicks off with clips of commentators talking about a letter Taxstone wrote to the judge, decimating Troy Ave’s character. “Since you n-ggas like writing letters, here go one,” he raps. “Dear hater, I won/I’ma boss, you a bum.”

Simultaneously, Troy Ave defends his actions that night at Irving Plaza, maintaining he acted in self-defense. He continues, “Got attempted murder ’cause I took the gun from him and bust back/This ain’t no made up raps, I’m paraphrasing the facts/I’m the king of the underground, you just a underground rat.”

Taxstone was convicted of second-degree murder and will be sentenced next month for what District Attorney Alvin Bragg called a “tragic and deadly confrontation in a packed New York City music venue.”

In exchange for his testimony, prosecutors reportedly promised Troy Ave a one-year prison sentence, including time served.

Troy Ave bragged about testifying against his former adversary last week. As he wrote on Instagram: “To all my real ones that been riding with & for me, today is the day I finally get to clear my name. It’s been almost 7 years since I lost one of my closest friends #RIPBANGA. 7 years of a narrative about it being my fault, 7 years of my character being assassinated all the while trying to defend myself without saying much! I took it all on the chin, never complained about the stress even tho I felt it. Never complained about the pain even tho it hurt! Never shed a tear even tho my heart was crying!”

He added: “At my weakest points I drew strength from GOD! Drew strength from my children & drew strength from y’all. But today … ya boi is strong! Today is our day! We in court & the facts will speak louder than any words! It’s time to get this false narrative off my name and dark cloud off my head.”

Damon Dash Ordered To Fork Over Tax Returns As Filmmaker Tries To Collect $800K Judgment

Damon Dash is facing yet another legal battle, this time involving his tax returns for 2021 and 2022.

Filmmaker Josh Webber, who has already won a lawsuit against Dash over the movie “Dear Frank,” has filed a motion for him to turn over his tax records as a request for sanctions against the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder.

According to documents obtained by AllHipHop.com, a judge has ordered Damon Dash to turn over his financial records Webber, which could reveal the extent of his assets and sources of income.

The documents could also shed light on Dash’s business dealings and reveal potential conflicts of interest.

In the original lawsuit, filed in 2019, Webber and Muddy Water Pictures claimed they had hired Dash to co-direct a movie called “Dear Frank” in 2016 but fired him two years later for allegedly being high on set.

But Dash was accused of trying to promote himself as a producer for the “Dear Frank” motion picture after he was removed from the project. They claimed that Dash even changed the film’s title to “The List.”

In March of 2022, Webber and Muddy Water Pictures won the case, and the jury awarded Muddy Water Pictures $30,000 for copyright infringement and $125,000 in punitive damages.

Webber won $400,000 in compensatory damages for defamation and $250,000 in punitive damages. Dash was ordered to pay a total of $805,000 to the plaintiffs.

Despite the legal defeat, Dash posted about the case on his verified Instagram page, saying, “You have to lose some battles to win a war… stay tuned #fatliars #youllneverbeme. Don’t ever say you Directed MY movie.”

Dash failed to respond to debtor interrogatory discovery in December 2022, and in January 2023, he did not produce the requested tax returns. He also missed another date in February 2023.

Outstanding judgments over $800,000 remain due in the original lawsuit.

Hip-Hop Stands With Survivors Protests Universal Hip-Hop Museum; Calls For Director’s Resignation

In a call for accountability in the Hip-Hop community, a group of advocates, sexual abuse survivors, professionals, activists, and parents demand the end of taxpayer funding for the Universal Hip Hop Museum in the Bronx.

The reason?

Continued affiliation with accused pedophile Afrika Bambaataa and his Universal Zulu Nation.

The group behind the call, Hip Hop Stands With Survivors, has sent an extensive report to the museum’s attorney and Mayor Eric Adams’ administration detailing numerous conflicts of interest and undue influence exerted by Bambataa and the Zulu Nation over the museum’s director, Rocky Bucano.

They argue that unresolved ties to Afrika Bambaataa and his Universal Zulu Nation create an unsafe environment and undermine the museum’s integrity. Bambaataa and the Universal Zulu Nation are entangled in a child sex trafficking lawsuit filed in 2021.

Despite the ongoing case, Hip Hop Stands With Survivors says the UHHM has yet to sever ties with Bambaataa or the Universal Zulu Nation publicly.

Critics argue that this decision puts children at risk and perpetuates a culture of silence.

Leila Wills, a journalist covering the Bambaataa story, expressed concern that the Universal Hip Hop Museum might be “signaling pedophiles” through its name, language, and affiliations.

“We also believe that pedophiles will understand this signaling to mean they will find safety in corporate silence and a new hunting ground for child victims,” Wills added.

She warned that “if one child is harmed at the museum, it will be because the UHHM board and the City of New York failed to act after receiving our report.”

https://youtu.be/YTbT2TrpOAs

According to a statement on the UHHM’s official website, the non-profit said the word “Universal” has nothing to do with Bambaataa or the Zulu Nation.

“The Universal Hip Hop Museum (UHHM) is making this statement to clarify the use of the adjective ‘universal’ in its name. As used in the organization’s name, Universal Hip Hop Museum, ‘Universal’ refers to the recognition of the global impact, the ethnically and culturally diverse nature, and the impact of Hip Hop over the past almost 50 years since its inception.

“The Universal Hip Hop Museum has no corporate or organizational relationships with any organizations with ‘Universal’ in their names. The UHHM is a recognized 501(c)(3) organization and has no corporate or organizational relationships with Universal Records, Universal Pictures, the Universal Zulu Nation, or any other such named organization,” the UHHM explained.

Despite the controversy, neither Mayor Adams’ administration nor the museum has responded to the 30-page report.

Hip Hop Stands With Survivors is demanding the resignation of UHHM executive director Rocky Bucano and an end to taxpayer funding for the institution, which has received almost $30 million in public funding.

The group has planned a protest at New York’s City Hall on March 27, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at New York’s City Hall, 260 Broadway in Manhattan.

6ix9ne’s Baby Mama Reacts To Brutal Florida Gym Assault

6ix9ine was sent to the hospital earlier this week after he was brutally assaulted at a South Florida gym. Although he’s taking it all in stride—offering to fight his attackers for $10,000—the mother of his child isn’t impressed. TMZ spoke to a rep for Sara Molina, who’s primarily raising their 7-year-old daughter, and she said it was “embarrassing” for her. She added it’s been “sad to see” and “hopes he gets the help he needs.” She also pointed out another embarrassing altercation at a recent baseball game where he got kicked out for being intoxicated. Overall, she said her daughter will be just fine whether he’s in her life or not. But she does hope he’ll consider having security with him everywhere he goes moving forward.

While 6ix9ine’s brutal beatdown became internet fodder for many, he found support from people such as Wack 100. As he wrote on Instagram, “It’s unfortunate what happened to 6ix9ine. He’s a good guy. Life is full of lessons. This isn’t about his so called street situation. This is about decision making on both sides. The ones who filmed and posted themselves will remember this day for years to come. And 69 will now know he has to move accordingly.”

He added in the caption: “They did him like this for Snitching , then turned around and Snitched on themselves … Clout is the New Crack. @6ix9ine I wish you a speedy recovery.”

What Famous TV Judge Assaulted Sheryl Lee Ralph?

ILLSEED UPDATE!

Judge Joe Brown has denied he is the judge! Is this a case of “hit dog holla” or are the rumors legit? There are numerous judges on TV, including Judge Mathis.

Sheryl Lee Ralph has claimed she was sexually assaulted by a “famous TV judge.”

The “Abbott Elementary” actress revealed on the “Way Up With Angela Yee” podcast earlier this week that the TV judge “rammed” his tongue “down (her) throat” at a work event many years ago.

“I’m at a very public place. I was suited. I was handling my business for the television show I was on at that time. He and I were on the same network,” she recalled. “This man walked in, grabbed me by the back of my neck, turned me around and rammed his nasty-a*s tongue down my throat. And everybody at the network saw it.”

The 66-year-old did not divulge the name of the judge, however, she clarified that it was not Judge Greg Mathis.

Sheryl called former New Orleans Mayor Marc Morial, who was in office from 1994 to 2002, over the incident and he asked if she wanted him to report it to the police but somebody at the TV network urged her to stay quiet.

“They did not want any bad press around their show and did not care what had just happened to me,” Sheryl added. “They saw what happened! ‘It’s not that bad, is it?’ ‘Please don’t say anything, we don’t need the bad press, it’s a brand-new show.'”

The “Dreamgirls” star alleged that men have touched her inappropriately without her consent on three occasions. She confronted a man who “put his hands on my body, in front of (people)” many years later when they were seated across from each other at a dinner.

“Do you want to know what was the shocking part?” she shared. “Everybody around the table was appalled that I would stand up for myself. They told me that I should be ashamed of myself, and why would I even bring that up, and at the dinner table.”

Since the report, the internet has run wild with speculation about who this TV judge might be and others dragged her for waiting so long to come forward.

Take a look at some of the tweets.

GrandMixer DXT To Be Honored By NAMM With Hip-Hop Innovator Award

The National Association of Music Merchants will be honoring a Hip-Hop pioneer, one who contributed significantly to the art of deejaying.

According to an announcement, on Thursday, April 13, during the TEC Experience at The 2023 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, GrandMixer DXT will receive the Hip-Hop Innovator Award.

Known as the world’s first “Turntablist,” DXT taught the world that the turntable is a musical instrument. This acknowledgment comes as the world celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop culture.

DXT said he is honored to be saluted by the group.

He said, [I am] “honored to be recognized for this contribution to the arts as the latest model of the ancestors that came before [me].”

One of innovations that took his craft to the next level was his participation on Herbie Hancock’s “Rockit,” a Grammy-winning song that blended pop music, funk, R&B and Hip-Hop in the 80s.

“DXT is at the foundation of turntable performance and innovation. His early works laid the foundation for the art form and collaboration. They were influential in forwarding DJ culture and technology, influencing others who came after him, such as DJ Jazzy Jeff, Q-bert, Mixmaster Mike, and countless others chronicled in the documentary Scratch,” TEC Committee members Tony Baraz and OP! Miller said.

In addition to honoring DXT, NAMM will host a one-hour session with Public Enemy’s Chuck D.

This session, the “Chuck D on Hip Hop at 50,” hosted by Brian Hardgroove and presented by Black to the Future, will be Friday, April 14 from 5-6 p.m.

Mary J. Blige has signed up to executive produce two movies based on her songs.

Lifetime executives announced that the cable channel is developing two television movies based on Blige’s hits, “Real Love” and “Strength of a Woman.”

The singer herself will serve as an executive producer via her production company Blue Butterfly, according to Deadline.

In “Strength of a Woman,” which is set 15 years later, Kendra is a successful photographer in a failed marriage with another man when Ben unexpectedly comes back into her life.

Camrus Johnson will direct “Real Love” with a script from Sonja Warfield and Rachel Ingram.

The latter also wrote the script for “Strength of a Woman,” directed by Shari Lynette Carpenter.

The movies will be released on back-to-back Saturdays beginning on June 10th.

When asked if he listened to Hip-Hop music while shooting for the movie, Reeves said, “No, I guess for John, “Chapter 4,’ I didn’t [listen to music]. I haven’t been listening to music in terms of like when I’m on the set. I haven’t actually been using music. [I’m] focusing, being in the quiet.”

Reeves also discussed the “Easter eggs” in the previous movies and if there were any in this movie.

To this, Reeves replied, “I don’t know. Sometimes people make connections that aren’t intentional. There’s some…John Wick has a particular way to reload and stuff like that, so I tried to keep that going.”

Drake’s “It’s All A Blur” Tour Sparks Ticketmaster Class Action Lawsuit

Ticketmaster, one of the world’s largest concert ticket sellers, is being sued over how it priced Drake tickets for his upcoming “It’s All A Blur” tour at the Bell Centre.

LPC Avocat Inc., a Montreal law firm, filed a class-action lawsuit against Ticketmaster. The firm alleges the company jacked up the prices on one day for tickets to get people to pay top dollar, and then added an additional show later with the prices cut down almost half price, according to The Star.com.

A Quebec Superior Court has to approve the validity of the case for it to go to trial.

At the core of the lawsuit is a Montreal man’s purchase of two “Official Platinum” seats for the July 14th show and paying $789.54 for each ticket.

People are spending top dollar for the 29-date international concert because it will be the first time Drake and 21 Savage have toured together.

The first controversy over the tickets came earlier in March when fans were initially told the presale tickets would run them about $70 on Cash App but were actually being sold for $200, Variety reports.

Another glitch in selling the show is 21 Savage not being able to make the Canadian dates. People suspect it is because of his immigration issues, but no real reason has been provided to fans.

While one fan is upset that 21 Savage’s absence was not announced before she got her Canadian tickets, others have issues simply with the ticketing.

The complaint alleges, the next day after he bought the tickets, another show was added and those same seats were being sold for $439.54 per ticket.

Lawyers allege the company “intentionally misleads consumers for their own financial gain,” claiming they knew all along Drake was going to add another show and bumped up the price for the first show because fans pay more when they believe they might miss out.

“Ticketmaster unilaterally decides which tickets it advertises and sells as ‘Official Platinum’ based on a given event,” states the application for the class action.

Adding, “The result is that most, if not all, of the tickets advertised and sold as ‘Official Platinum,’ are neither ‘premium tickets’ nor ‘some of the best seats in the house’ and are, in fact, just regular tickets sold by Ticketmaster at an artificially inflated premium in bad faith.”

While Drake is at the center of the story, he is not named as a defendant.

LPC Avocat is seeking  “compensatory damages in the aggregate amount of the difference between the prices charged for ‘Official Platinum’ tickets and what their regular price ought to have been” for those who paid the higher fee for the Official Platinum seats.

The lawyers are also pushing to get punitive damages paid to those ticket buyers impacted by the alleged gouging. They hope to secure an additional $300 for their pain and suffering.

Ticketmaster nor the Canadian chart-topper has released a comment on the pending lawsuit.

Ye Loves Jewish People Again, Thanks To Jonah Hill And “21 Jump Street”

Ye, the controversial music icon, found himself in the center of a major scandal in late 2022, after making anti-Semitic comments that led to a temporary ban on Twitter and Instagram.

Brands severed ties with him, and he was crowned “anti-Semite of the year” by leading organizations.

However, Ye recently resurfaced on Instagram, proclaiming his love for Jewish people after watching actor Jonah Hill in “21 Jump Street.”

In a heartfelt post, Ye expressed his change of heart, saying, “Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street made me like Jewish people again. No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled anti-Semite knowing Jesus is a Jew. Thank you, Jonah Hill, love you.”

Before this revelation, Ye had faced severe backlash and massive losses due to his offensive remarks.

Adidas dropped him in October 2022, ending a nine-year partnership, stating that they didn’t tolerate anti-Semitism or hate speech.

Additionally, Balenciaga, Gap, and other companies cut ties with him, causing a significant financial impact on the artist.

Ye’s anti-Semitic comments, including expressions of admiration for Hitler and Nazis, drew widespread condemnation.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center named him the “anti-Semite of the year.”

Ye’s comments on social media, particularly a post where he declared going “deathcon 3 on Jewish people,” led to an increase in anti-Semitic behavior in the United States.

The situation worsened after he sat down with journalist Piers Morgan, stating that he only wished harm on Jewish people who had done him wrong.

During an appearance on Alex Jones’ Infowars, he admitted to admiring Adolf Hitler and denied parts of the Holocaust.

Despite the controversy, Ye’s recent return to Instagram and his public apology have demonstrated a shift in his perspective.

It remains to be seen how the public, his former partners, and the Jewish community will react to this change.
