FunkMaster Flex Blasts Pete Rock In Epic Radio Rant

Funk Flex and Pete Rock are going at it and have for days. But, last night they took a hard left. Flex went on the radio and threw ever bomb he had at Pete Rock for over 20 minutes straight. In the diatribe, he maxed out Pete Rock of being a snitch.

But let’s go back a few steps. This all started earlier this week, when Conway The Machine of Griselda Records said that New York City DJs do not support his music. He was talking specifically about DJ Suss One and Funkmaster Flex. Apparently, these guys both like the Griselda movement and even Conway specifically. But the response was pretty serious. Funkmaster Flex went in and said some really harmful things. “You and your team have had a feature from Jay-Z, Eminem, Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Jadakiss, Travis Scott, French Montana, and more?…You’re a 40-plus ‘bars rapper’ sorry lyricist that has had every resource possible!,” Flex said. He also mentioned Kanye West and other notables.

But, then Pete Rock jumped into it.

When Pete Rock jumped into it, it got a little more touchy. And that is because he and Funkmaster Flex are from the same era (I think) and know each other very well. While Funkmaster Flex said he respects Pete Rock tremendously and loves his body work, he did not bite his tongue in his attack. He said many things about Pete Rock‘s character (as he sees it) and suggested he might be on drugs or alcohol, out of touch and also said he has not made dope songs recently. (Be clear, we do not co-sign this – just reporting on it.)

Now, we all love Pete Rock. And we will never say anything bad about him. But, I would imagine Funkmaster Flex’s words stung because Pete Rock did not respond to multiple SOCIAL MEDIA TAUNTS by Flex. In fact, he ignored numerous things that Flex posted DIRECTLY IN Pete Rock’s COMMENTS. And I found that interesting.

At any rate, last night the whole thing crescendoed with Flex giving us an apparent, ALLEGED reason why CL Smooth and Pete Rock no longer get along. This has dogged my brain for years. I never knew why. And maybe I still don’t know why, but it seems like there is some insight here. Funky Flex said that Pete Rock called the cops on his rap partner because CL smooth was allegedly selling group merchandise overseas.

“The police came to arrest C.L. [Smooth]. Due to a technicality, they could’n’t arrest him. He did this in the U.K. He did not care if he was put in a jail overseas where the rules are totally different from New York. He went to the precinct, filled out a report and cooperated. What type of guy is that? And you talk to me about the game and integrity? You have none. You have zero. Don’t you ever, you hear me, bozo? You say that you want to upkeep Hip-Hop and you are all for Hip-Hop and preserving the culture, but you didn’t write your own bars. You, my friend, are a buffoon.”

IS THIS SNITCHING THOUGH?

So, in this allegation, he called the cops of the United Kingdom to cease his partner in rhyme from selling merchandise. Pete has not responded to these allegations yet, but this sounds extremely insane! I don’t know what to think! I hope Pete Rock says something to settle our hearts.

On top of that, for you crunchy rap nerds, he also made the assertion that she was also suing DJ Eddie F, who worked with Heavy D and the Boyz. Pete Rock and Hev go way back and are cousins.

Lastly, and more crunchy, is the revelation, ALLEGEDLY, that Pete Rock did not write some of his own rhymes. Now this doesn’t bother me so much, because we know Pete Rock mainly as a DJ and Producer. But Flex said it was a big deal.

All of this is just crazy. So much fighting!

Right now I want to hear from Pete Rock. I know that he may be keeping his head down and low for the moment. But, he should say something. He should explain to us what happened. If he can, will be more than happy to support him. I guess if he doesn’t explain, will still be more than happy to support him. But I don’t like him hiding or laying so low when he was saying so much earlier. Anyway, a quick glimpse of his social media just seems that he’s re-tweeting those that support him. And that us as well! Salute Pete Rock. And Funkmaster Flex, well…he is the king of the “go off” at this point.

Still, we have seen Pete Rock in a lot of feuds. He recently had something to say about Diddy, Nas, Canibus and others. Hopefully, we can get back to the music and talk about that a bit more.

NBA YoungBoy Not Guilty – Beats Gun Case In Los Angeles

Rapper NBA YoungBoy won a major legal victory in California court today (July 15th), after a jury found him not guilty of gun possession charges.

On March 22nd, 2021, the rapper led police on a chase in Tarzana, California, as they attempted to serve a federal warrant on the rapper for gun possession charges stemming from a video shoot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The rapper eventually bailed from his Mercedes Maybach and fled through neighborhood backyards before apprehending him.

The cops searched the luxury vehicle and found an FNX-45 .45 caliber pistol on the floorboard. NBA YoungBoy was charged with possession of a firearm in ammunition by a convicted felon.

After almost a year and a half, the high-profile trial for the rapper, born Kenntrell Gaulden, kicked off on Tuesday (July 12th).

During the two-day trial, prosecutors claimed the rapper proved he was guilty by fleeing from the traffic stop, jumping out of his car, and attempting to evade police.

The rapper’s lawyer, James Manasseh, claimed his superstar client panicked due to the show of force by the LAPD and the fact that he was unaware of the federal warrant for his arrest out of Baton Rouge.

Manasseh also claimed that NBA YoungBoy had no clue the gun was inside the Maybach.

On Wednesday, FBI forensic examiner Icel Kuznetsova admitted that no fingerprints were found on the gun, the grip, the magazine, or the shells found in the vehicle.

After five hours of deliberations, a jury sided with the rapper and found him not guilty of the charges.

NBA YoungBoy scored several significant victories, which undoubtedly led to his acquittal.

First, a judge ruled that his rap lyrics could not be used against him during the trial.

And, his defensive attorney successfully proved that there was no evidence tying him to the gun found in the vehicle, which had been used by other people, despite NBA YoungBoy’s name being on the lease.

While today’s victory was good news for the rapper, he is still facing another gun possession trial in Louisiana over an arsenal of weapons found during a video shoot in Baton Rouge in September 2020.

A hearing, in that case, is slated for August.

William ‘Poogie’ Hart, Founder Of R&B Group Delfonics, Transitions At 77

The music world is mourning the passing of William “Poogie” Hart, the lead singer of the legendary R&B group, The Delfonics.

According to reports, the Grammy award-winning singer’s son, Hadi, confirmed the sad news, saying he transitioned on Thursday, July 14th.

He told the outlet that William Hart was having difficulty breathing and had to be taken to Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.

The son said his dad transitioned at the age of 77 after having complications during the surgery.

A crucial part of The Sound of Philadelphia, a movement in music that changed the landscape of Black music in the 70s, the Delfonics were started in the late ’60s.

The lineup consisted of WilliamHart and his brother Wilbert, Randy Cain, Ritchie Daniels, and famed movie director Stan Lathan in Overbrook High School. Later, Philly legend Major Harris joined the group, and music production titan Thom Bell produced most of their hits.

Some of their hit songs included “La-La (Means I Love You),” “Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind This Time),” and “Ready or Not Here I Come (Can’t Hide from Love),” a song that was sampled and interpolated for the Fugees platinum-selling hit song, “Ready or Not” from The Score.

Bootsy Colling posted, “The Delfonics are an American R&B/Vocal group from Philly PA. Their hit songs were primarily written/composed and produced by lead vocalist and founding member William “Poogie” Hart, in the middle. He changed frequencies today. Prayer’s to his family & friends. Bootsy baby!!!”

Sheryl Lee Ralph also posted, “This has blown my mind with sadness. Their music was such a great part of my youth.”

Ghostface, who sampled “La-La (Means I Love You),” told an incredible story about a wild shootout involving the group, as they traveled to Staten Island to record with the rapper. Take a listen:

Kanye West Inspired By GAP CEO’s Business Acumen During Phone Call

Rapper-turned-businessman Kanye West spent his mother’s birthday meeting with one of the men that changed his life, making him the wealthiest man in music.

On Tuesday, July 12th, the heavenly birthday of Ms. Donda West, the fashion designer and brand-ologist sat on a call with Robert Fisher, the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Gap Inc., Bob L. Martin, the Executive Chairman and Interim CEO at Gap, and others to discuss the company’s business.

So inspired by meeting the businessmen, Ye took to social media to express his gratitude – linking the serendipity of his mom’s born day with his first-time meeting Bob Martin.

Kanye captioned an Instagram post, dropping one of the most extraordinary jewels he heard on the call – “go to the stores.”

“On my moms birthday I was able for the first time to sit in on a Gap call with Bob Martin, Bob Fisher, and other leads of the company,” Kanye wrote. “Bob Martin was one of the most inspiring people I’ve heard speak in business. He kept saying go to the stores on the call.”

While reflecting on what they were able to do in such a short amount of time, Kanye continued, “I came to Gap to put good product directly in stores. We’ve had 2 of the biggest sales day in Gap history since I’ve been there.”

We sold 14 million dollars worth of the perfect black hoodie at 80 dollars a hoodie off of a television commercial that was ran one time. I came to Gap to bring good quality products to the people at all times,” he proudly shared.

Kanye also shared what’s next on his agenda, a one-on-one meeting with the big dog, “Bob I need to meet with you as soon as possible.”

Seems like Ye has some tricks up his sleeve.

Celebrity Realtor Douglas Parson Jr Takes Real Estate To The Next Level At A Time When Interest Rates Are Climbing

The top celebrity realtor and author “Douglas Parson Jr.” Real estate can be one of the most rewarding and difficult kinds of investment. There is no question in anyone’s mind that this particular investment contains a significant number of opportunities for achievement. Property investment can be beneficial in a variety of ways, including the generation of passive income through renting out one’s property and the accumulation of wealth through the rise in the value of one’s real estate holdings.

Douglas Parson Jr. has given some of the most compelling arguments in favor of investing in real estate, and we are going to share them with you in this article, so that we may direct you in the right direction. It is true that real estate investors face challenges, and Douglas Parson Jr. is no exception. In spite of the challenges he faced along the way, Douglas Parson Jr. has earned the reputation as “The Celebrity Realtor” via his unwavering commitment, and tireless effort. In his book “The Art of Flipping Bricks,” he answers the most important questions that people who are new to the game may have regarding how to identify, fix, and flip houses. He also shows step-by-step directions on how to do all three.

What role does location play, how big a property should be, and how much profit one should expect? In addition to that, he discusses problems that are associated with contractors, inspectors, and loans. If you are prepared to make an investment in yourself, then you are recommended to follow his advice. One of the best realtors in Atlanta Douglas Parson Jr. has more than 20 years of experience in the luxury real estate business. He has always motivated people to invest in real estate.

For example, a million-dollar mansion in Atlanta, Georgia, was recently sold to “King of Reality” TV Executive Carlos King by Douglas Parson Jr. There’s a pool, a balcony off the master bedroom, and a lot of areas to spread out and a good time. The drone view will show you that the mansion is right in the middle of a golf course. Douglas Parson Jr. has been Atlanta’s top realtor for almost two decades, specializing in luxury homes and selling millions of dollars worth of property.

He is a Certified Buyer Agent (CBA). In addition, he also has the Fair Housing ACT certification. Why should you invest in real estate? The value of the property you possess will never decrease. A new car’s depreciating value is one example of an investment that could leave you with little to nothing of value. Other examples include investments in the stock market, which can go down to zero in value. You may expect your money to go up in value in the real estate market regardless of whether you invested it in a residential or commercial property.

The value of a property rises when the area becomes more densely populated, infrastructure upgrades are made, critical neighborhood amenities are built, and new entertainment and recreation options develop. Due to a limited amount of land and increasing demand for it, a particular region’s real estate value is boosted greatly by the lack of room to build new residences. In these instances, according to Douglas Parson Jr., real estate investment is one of the best ways to make money.

What Happened To The Game’s Album Drillmatic?

The Game had everybody waiting in anticipation of his latest album Drillmatic. However, after months of lingering, we simply haven’t gotten it. He did a highly publicized performance at Novo where Wack100 may or may not have gotten in a fight. Kanye was there! That was the lob, but we didn’t get the….

Now, we gotta talk about the music.

We are big Game fans so we are looking for this album. It was delayed once, it was delayed again. Lloyd Banks just hit so I was hoping it would have come out today. It is possible they did not want to compete for ears. Jay-Z cleared like seven samples from the album, so we good there. What is the hold up?!

We love Kendrick, but he’s in a different zone right now. The hood (I would imagine) cannot go where he is right now – Paris, Africa, outer space. The Game is all we have! Come on Jayceon!

I take that back. We have more than The Game. Symba is someone I am keeping in tune with now and he’s down with The Game. He was pulled on stage and dropped a DOPE rhyme in honor of his homie. I was impressed at that and his own efforts. Hip-Hop is in a good place if you let it.

Anyway, I am hoping they send us some audio goodies soon.

In the meantime, here’s “Violence” with HitBoy.

And here’s the song with Kanye.

Dallas-Based Rapper BigXthaPlug Unloads Big Stepper EP

Texas-bred rapper BigXthaPlug drops his new Big Stepper EPalong with his new visual for the new single “Active.” Delivering for fans across the Lonestar state and beyond, “BigX” has a momentum that rap fans are embracing across the city.

BigX’s first mixtape Back from the Dead and subsequent singles “Strange Fruit”, “Feeling Like Dennis”, “Mr. Trouble” and “Big Stepper” helped him gain significant attention in the online space.  But more recently, a resurgence of the single “Safehouse” created a viral moment on SayCheese and has made him relevant across a wide range of social media pages and blogs.

“So boom I’ve done a full-length project before, it was called Back from the Dead and once I got out of jail I wanted to rap so I came out with that to show I was back or whatever.  But this project is different,” BigXthaPlug said.

“Really to me it’s just about growth at this point, I’m ready for fans to hear the whole body of work and growth and that’s what I really want to show, that’s what I want everyone else to see.  I’ve been telling people that I never planned this s###, but this is what I’m supposed to be doing.   This project is something that people have been asking for and I want to make sure I give them what they want.”

Harkening back to some of the slowed-down, leaned-out Texas music Hip-Hop fans have come to love, BigXthaPlug never planned for this type of success, but now he’s well known in his city for a series of breakout hits.

Although BigX was just looking to break his own personal cycle of trouble with the law, what he found was something much greater than he could have imagined on the sidelines joking around and rapping with his teammates during his football days.

“I have been rapping for a few years seriously, but I didn’t plan on doing this or going viral. When I got out last time I got out with a clear head. But, I ain’t gonna lie, I didn’t do what I was planning to do or anything like that.  I didn’t plan this or anything. I was a football player and I kept getting in trouble so I couldn’t play football anymore,” BigXthaPlug explained.

“After that, I had to find a way to bring money in because I had a baby. I had missed his birthday doing some stupid stuff so when I got out the last time I got out with a clear head.  I knew what I was doing wasn’t right and I didn’t like not waking up to my son, so when I got out I had a partna who had been doing music since we were 9 years old. That was just something we did when we were playing football, and so that’s just what I did with him. If we weren’t running drills we were on the sidelines rapping.”

With his mind set on moving forward and with a newly redefined sound, new visuals and continued support from major videographer Half Pint Filmz, BigX’s buzz is skyrocketing with even better music and visuals on the way.

The Game Discusses Drake’s Rumored Subliminal Shots At Kendrick Lamar

There has been speculation for years that there is a Cold War taking place between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Fans comb through both Hip Hop superstars’ lyrics to try and discover lines that could be ammunition in a subtle war of words.

For example, many listeners believed Drake directed part of his verse on The Game’s 2015 single “100” at K. Dot. On the song, Drizzy raps, “I would have all of your fans if I didn’t go Pop and I stayed on some conscious s###.”

Kendrick Lamar has been labeled, particularly in the early stages of his music career, as a conscious emcee. In contrast, Drake regularly faced complaints from some Hip Hop purists of being too Pop for a rapper.

The Game recently spoke about “100” featuring Drake. During an interview with HipHopDX, the OVO leader spoke about Drake’s perceived subliminal shots at Kendrick Lamar on the “100” collaboration.

“I didn’t feel like that,” said The Game when asked about his fellow Los Angeles native potentially being the target of Drake’s lyrical bullets on The Documentary 2 track. “And if I did, I wouldn’t have put the song out.”

He continued, “Like I said, Kendrick’s my brother. I love him too. But if Drake was subliminal and slipped something in, again, he’s one of the best to ever do it, so it’s Hip Hop. Even Kendrick is lyrically equipped to catch any stray and return fire, so I think at the end of the day, it’s all good Hip Hop. It ain’t like Kendrick and Drake are about to go into a street war or something like that.”

The Game went on to say rap battles fuel competition and only one person can sit at the top of the Billboard charts. The West Coaster added, “Climbing the ladder, knocking people down, kicking people off, it’s just part of the competitive nature of music as a whole.”

Team Drake Deny Rumors Of His Arrest In Sweden On Marijuana Charges

“Free Drake” began trending on Twitter on Thursday evening (Jul. 14) following speculation that the Toronto superstar was arrested while traveling in Europe.

Fans of the OVO boss were left devastated as rumors swirled that Drake had been taken into custody by Swedish authorities. Unconfirmed reports suggested the “Jimmy Cooks” rapper and his security were picked by cops while in Sweden. Word on the street was that he was arrested at a nightclub in Stockholm on marijuana charges.

Team Drake Deny The Rumors Of His Arrest

However, while the gossip continued, Drizzy’s team confirmed with multiple sources that he was not arrested.

Additionally, Huffington Post journalist Phillip Lewis took to Twitter in the early hours of Friday morning (Jul. 14) to confirm the speculation was false.

“FYI: I talked to Swedish police and they told me Drake is not currently in their custody. (That was the only info they would give),” he added.

Lewis also confirmed, “From Drake’s team: “Drake is at his hotel and has not been arrested.”

Among the concerned fans were those who used the gossip as a reason to roast Drake.

“Drake got arrested so he could use the mugshot for a cover what a guy,” wrote one.

“They finally arrested Drake for dropping that album,” one Twitter user joked, referring to his latest album, Honestly, Nevermind.

Another user had a similar sense of humor: “Sweedish police have arrested Drake after listening to Honestly, Nevermind. ‘This s### trash, we gotta stop him’ -Sweedish Police.”

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Drake announced his plans for the upcoming October World Weekend Concert. The forthcoming “Road to OVO Fest Tour,” will feature a highly anticipated Young Money Reunion with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne. Lil Baby and Chris Brown will also appear with the Canadian hitmaker at the concert.

GloRilla Joins CMG

His most recent signing, “FNF” rapper GloRilla was added to the roster earlier this month after making waves with her hit song.

“GloRilla is a natural-born star – she has a different sound and approach that’s needed in hip-hop right now,” Gotti said, as per Vibe. “It’s one of the quickest rises that I’ve seen in my career because she only dropped in late April and now she has the hottest cultural records in music. Glo is hungry for success and determined to win. We look forward to watching her grow as an artist and reach her full potential.”

She joins a roster of talent, including Moneybagg Yo, Blac Youngsta, EST Gee, and Mozzy. The “Tell The Truth” rapper signed to CMG earlier this year.

Lloyd Banks Returns With New Album ‘The Course of The Inevitable 2’

Lloyd Banks has delivered his fifth studio album The Course of The Inevitable 2, the follow-up to the project first in the series, released last year.

The 14-song LP includes features from Jadakiss, Benny The Butcher, Dave East, and Vado. Fellow former G-Unit member Tony Yayo also makes an appearance on the album.

The Punch Line King also tapped Conway The Machine for “Menace”, released last month (Jun. 29), while Lloyd Banks takes center stage on “Fell In Love,” also shared ahead of the project’s official release. The video for “Dead Roses” is set to arrive later today (Jul.15) at 3 p.m. EST. Listen to the project below.

Lloyd Banks has been building anticipation for The Course Of The Inevitable 2 since he shared the cover art in May. Then he announced its upcoming release the following month before confirming the tracklist last week.

Meanwhile, Joe Budden invited Lloyd Banks to appear on his podcast and shared a clip of the episode. In it, Banks is asked to address Jim Jones’s claims that he would beat him in a Verzuz. The Dipset member told The Joe Budden Podcast last month that he’s ready to return to the Verzuz stage.

“I’ll smoke Banks head up right now,” Jones said of Lloyd Banks. “You beg to differ? My s### is a package. To my drip, to my water, my s### is a package. My s### just ain’t the rap-age — it’s the package. When I come out they wanna see Capo. It’s not too many n##### that got that package.”

Joe Budden then asked, “Why you think people got you f##### up this way?” Lloyd Banks replied, “I think the correct question is ‘Do I give a f###’?” before discussing the “cheat codes” he learned recording with 50 Cent.

In an exclusive interview, Gage talks about his success in the music industry as well as his plans for the future.

What do you like most about making music? What I like most about making music is the creative freedom of expression it gives me.

I love that I can paint audio pictures with words and tell stories that most people can gravitate towards. making music to me is my therapy, making music is my purpose in life

What inspired you to start making music?
As a kid watching Michael Jackson is what inspired me to start making music just seeing the effect you had on people when he performed was so fascinating to me

and I got older and got into hip-hop, I saw what they were doing in that genre was more my speed so I gravitate more towards that but Michael Jackson was definitely my inspiration to start making music hands down

Describe your creative process when you write new music:
When I first hear a beat I try and figure out what it wants me to say since I see sounds in colors but I haven’t put pen to pad since coming back from London in march 2006. I think up the bars now 8 at a time then go record it. Sometimes it starts with hearing a dope beat then I just have the track on repeat. Usually, within the first 5 seconds, the words start coming to me if this doesn’t happen I don’t use the beat. In my opinion, there is no such thing as writer’s block people just pick the wrong beats. That’s why it’s hard for them to come up with stuff.

If you pick the right beat the words will come easy and will flow. But my process is usually hearing a dope beat and having it on repeat till I can at least think up 8 bars or a hook most times I’m already in the studio so soon as I get the first 8 bars or hook I lay it down if I don’t get the whole 16 I come back to it later. If the words don’t come I usually get a flow pattern of how I want to flow in the song then I find a pocket because my voice is just another instrument in the song

What accomplishments do you see yourself achieving in the next five to 10 years? I was at the 2022 grammy awards so that was something I always wanted to do that I just did.

I want to continue to drop indie album-of-the-year caliber projects and I think I have been doing that so far so I want to continue to make music at that high level. I also want to be in the Guinness book of world records as the only Emcee who doesn’t curse in his raps.

Who’s your ideal artist to collaborate with and why?
So many to pick from but I will go with JAY-Z because he embodies the very fabric of what is it I do with the similar backgrounds and taste for certain things in life that I have  so I think he would be a perfect collaboration lyrically I would love to spar with him on a song

Are there any artists who inspire you? What qualities do you admire about them?
The artists that inspire me are The Notorious B.I.G, 2pac, Nas, and Jay-Z and the qualities I admire about them are their ability to consistently make timeless music that matters. Even with Big and Pac not being here anymore their music still lives on, that’s very admirable. With JAY-Z and Nas they have been in the game so long but are still making good music like they just started out that in itself is a major inspiration that it can be done

Which qualities do you think to make a great artist? A willingness to work hard on your gift daily You have to be able to be patient and persistent  and being able to remain true to yourself able to capture the thoughts and things most people go through and put it in song format be a voice for the voiceless having great stage presence at shows being able to perform songs live without rapping over backing tracks or vocals and lastly being able to make GREAT music is key

What’s the best tip of advice you can give to upcoming artists?
LEARN THE MUSIC BUSINESS before you get in that booth to record, pick up a book on the music business and read it so when the time comes you won’t be like most of these artists getting taken advantage of .

NETWORKING is key who you know will put you on what you know determines how long you stay. Investing in yourself is key even though a lot of people may try to take advantage of you so do your due diligence before getting with people who claim that can help you and your career/ brand. Put your head down and do the work. Be more strategic and consistent. lead with authenticity.

PopCom x Knxtti x Disrupt.Art  NFT Collection Sold Out in Less Than an Hour

PopCom x Knxtti x Disrupt. Art hosted the first-ever event where Physical and Digital NFT were dispensed. In only one-hour, the collection sold out from PopCom’s vending machines due to the artist’s amazing collection centered around NYers. Collector Jatali Bellanton purchased six of the iconic New Yorker portraits while Jim Jones received one of the NFTs with his image. Each purchase came with a high-quality print of the artwork and a QR code to mint a digital NFT.

PopCom’s team members Damian Murray and Joe Teblum are both credited with coming up with this idea to sell NFTs in the machines at the Web3 gathering, NFT.NYC. This historic sale was also fueled by the amazing work of New York native Christopher “Knxtti” Green who created The NYers collection featuring cartoonish portraits of Biggie, Whoppi Goldberg, Mike Tyson, Jay-Z, and Donald Trump, to name a few.

The activation proved that NFTs and artwork could be dispensed at scale from intelligent vending machines, providing a unique experience for both artists and consumers.

“Creating The NYers collection in collaboration with PopCom was an awesome experience. It changed the dynamics of an NFT drop for me,” said Knxtti. “This felt more like a sneaker drop where you actually touch and unpackage the product. Touch is an essential human need. Even the ‘meeting up’ of collectors and the conversations and relationships formed that day are a part of collecting art that can never truly be experienced in an all-digital world.

I love the Metaverse, don’t get me wrong… however, this NFT drop made it feel ‘human’ again. The pairing of physical and digital was genius on PopCom’s part, and I am so happy they recruited me to execute [the project].”

After the success of NFT.NYC, PopCom, and the other partners plan to continue the project with an LA-based event to be announced soon. By utilizing the PopShop vending machines, the group hopes to bridge the gap between local artists and consumers across the country through NFT technology.

About KNXTTI

Christopher Green, professionally known as KNXTTI (pronounced Nah-Tee), is a multidisciplinary artist whose art is focused on the contradictions of the human experience, the transition of man from physical to digital beings, and social commentary using pop culture icons as references. He is most known for his paintings of Skeletons, which represent a Skinless Humanity.

In February 2021, Knxtti started selling NFTs (non-fungible tokens) as a way to verify ownership of his art on the Ethereum blockchain. His success with his own projects led him to become a dealer for other artists who struggled to be seen. Artists such as Kid Eight and Deecosey all credit Knxtti as the catalyst for their success in the digital space.

Atlanta Prosecutor Says There Will Be More People Hit With The RICO! In 60 Days!

Who Is Next?

The DA in Fulton County, GA – Fani T. Willis – is not playing. She is on a rampage! As you already know, she hit Young Thug and Ghana and a bunch of other people with some serious RICO charges. Gang and racketeering! Basically, she saying that they are moving like an organized crime unit, terrorizing the city. This is something that they vehemently deny, and they have the backing of Kevin Liles and their consortium of defenders in the music industry.

That case is ongoing, but Fani T. Willis has alluded to there being another sweep in the racketeering and gang charges that will calm down within the next 60 days! She is not playing. Now, the question is who!? Furthermore, will these people even be rappers? Rappers make headlines. The lines have severely been blurred between music and criminals in hip-hop. So, we have to ask the question because it doesn’t seem to have any difference at this moment.

Obviously, Atlantic records and the like are going to say that this is only art. However, the authorities, who do quite a thorough job investigating, are going to argue that there’s more to it than that. In fact, they allude to the idea that the art actually can serve as evidence against the defendants.

So, who could it be? I have no idea. I am definitely not tapped in enough to know who it is or who it could be. But, there are folks that do. I would imagine that anybody in the life out there is shaking in their boots right now. Or not. This is the life they allegedly chose. As for me, I would be scared because I am not cut from that cloth. I’m like Gunna.

I am not sure we can claim racism on this one. First of all you have a Black woman at the helm of this investigation. Second of all, I think we’d be lying to ourselves saying that we don’t have some real problems with violence in our own communities. This may make her a villain, but we have to make our community safe somehow. Now, are Young Thug and Gunna the right people to be targeting? That’s another story altogether. But, universally there is a need for us to fix ourselves. I’m not sure if you can do that without the help of larger forces.
