Tsu Surf continues to feed his fans from behind bars, sharing his new project Disparu while in Essex County Jail facing federal RICO charges.
The New Jersey artist recorded the 16-song project before his arrest, releasing it at midnight on Thanksgiving. Jim Jones returns as a guest feature following his appearance on “Careful Who You Love” on Tsu Surf’s 2020 effort, MSYKM.
Tsu Surf thanked his “big sis” Remy Ma for her feature on Disparu’s “Wait 4 Me,” a somber track about leaving behind those you love.
Last week, Tsu Surf shared the visuals for the lead single and title track “Disparu,” which translates as “faded away,” or “missing.” The visuals include footage from his last show in September at Rolling Loud New York. Watch the video below and stream the project at the end of the page.

The legendary battle rapper pleaded not guilty in October after surrendering to U.S. Marshals following his indictment alongside nine others in a RICO case. They are accused of various criminal activities, including murder, moving drugs, robbery, and theft . Feds have been investigating since the men since 2015.
Feds accuse Tsu Surf of shooting at a rival gang member in 2017. They also allege he participated in selling weed on Instagram. Prosecutors claim he is an active member of Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips sect, the Silverbacc Gorillas or “SBG.”
Joe Budden Reacts To RICO Arrest
Surf’s good friend and former collaborator Joe Budden recalled “sobbing” at “a mere rumor of Surf being taken on a RICO,” before it was confirmed.
“I don’t know how bad it is, how severe it is,” he said during a recent episode of his podcast. Unfortunately, I did not get to speak to Surf right before he left, but I love him of course, I support him. Anything that he, his mom, his family needs from me, I’m there. He already know, that just goes unsaid for me.”
Chrissy Teigen shared a video of her cracked oven door.
The “FABLife” co-host shared on Instagram and Twitter how she had cracked her oven door while cooking Thanksgiving dinner.
“Thanksgiving cooking begins nowwww!!! Best day of the year,” Chrissy gushed in a thread, before following it up with a video of her open oven door cracked with the words “Oh no” written over the top.
Later, the television personality gave updates on her Thanksgiving dinner situation.
On her Instagram Story, she shared a photo of a pot with the words “Doing everything I can today!” written atop it, followed by a series of videos including one of her taking baked potatoes out of a non-cracked oven and one of baked pies on her countertop.
On Twitter, she replied to users commenting on her dinner.
Responding to one user writing “We know that room is smelling like rancid farts right now,” Chrissy tweeted, “Used to it with the hound dog and Frenchie!”
One user commented on a video of Chrissy’s daughter Luna lamenting over egg preparation, “You wouldn’t like eggs either if you saw the conditions chickens live in and what they do to the ‘surplus’ (male) chicks,” to which Chrissy replied, “Take it somewhere else Kath.”
Chrissy and her husband John Legend share Luna, who was born in 2016 and their son, Miles, who was born in May 2018. In August, she announced that they were expecting another child.
In his interview, Nick called fatherhood his “number one priority, obviously,” explaining, “I wake up being a father, thinking about my kids, and then everything else comes after that.”
He added, “My kids are definitely the creative force in all that I do. I mean, they’re the funniest, most innovative, most best questions, you know what I mean?
“Like, every project I’m working on now is through their eyes.”
When asked whether his “tribe” would continue to “grow,” he responded, “I don’t know. I have no idea. I think I’m good right now.”
Nick shares 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Mariah Carey, five-year-old Golden Sagon, two-year-old Powerful Queen, and newborn Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell, one-year-old twins Zion and Zillion and newborn Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa, newborn Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi, and newborn Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole.
Elsewhere in the interview, Nick said he was “excited about” the hip-hop scene.
“I’m proud of where everybody’s taking it,” he said. “The culture’s exciting right now because everybody’s doing their own thing.”
However, despite their public displays of affection on the red carpet, Yung Gravy set the record straight in an interview with E! News and insisted they are not dating.
“When they asked me to do the VMAs, I had never watched them before,” he said. “I’ve seen clips, but I never watched a red carpet thing before. I didn’t really know what it meant. I was like, ‘Oh, I need a date. It would just be a fun little date.’ I guess everyone just assumes if you bring someone that you’re together together.
“I needed a date and we had flirted online before and I invited her to come through. We got a couple of nights beforehand to chill before the actual thing so it wasn’t like we just met, but she’s a sweetheart. We had a good time. We are not ‘dating dating’. It’s hard to date when you’re traveling all the time.”
The 26-year-old, real name Matthew Hauri, did little to dispel the speculation on the VMAs red carpet as he told MTV reporters at the time that he and Sheri met online and “connected right away.”
“I’m into MILFs, and she’s kind of the queen of MILFs, so I figured it was just the perfect match,” he said of the 43-year-old.
Sheri confirmed she had split from Addison’s father, Monty Lopez, in July.
Whoever says business and pleasure don’t mix, never met Jay Z and Beyonce. Their love continues to be a living embodiment of a power couple.
In case you missed it, the Carters are now tied at 88 for the most Grammy nominations in history. Now, we may be receiving a joint album with the latest installments of Queen B’s Renaissance coming soon.
Back in July, Bey took to Instagram to share insight on how the project came about. “This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative.”
With this in mind, there’s no telling where her creativity may lead.
New York Times reporter Kyle Buchanan took to Twitter to inform the #beyhive and fans alike to expect part two of Renaissance to be an acoustic rendering while part three will be a collaboration with Jay Z.
Anytime the pair collaborates, the culture wins. Songs such as, “Crazy In Love,” “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” and “Drunk In Love” still live on in playlists today.
Not to mention their 2018 Everything Is Love album spawned in the midst of their On The Run II Tour. That joint effort earned them a 2019 Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
Still, no word from the Carters on a release date or any other particulars but the news itself is enough to make you start planning an outfit for the next concert.
Ice T explained why he wouldn’t speak out against Kanye West’s antisemitic remarks.
While speaking to AllHipHop for an interview, the “Cop Killer” rapper was asked why he hasn’t made a statement on recent antisemitic remarks perpetuated by Donda rapper Kanye West.
“I don’t really have any opinion, and I don’t want to be somebody trying to slander somebody. That’s not fly,” Ice T explained. “Right now, people want just come out and say s**t. I mean, whatever my view, I like to keep that in private.”
He added, “It’s not gangster to come out and talk about somebody like that.”
The rapper further argued Kanye himself worked as an example – though one may have the right to free speech, you still need to “watch what you say.”
Ice T concluded, “So, when you say something, you have to be prepared for the ramifications of what you say, and apparently he is.”
Kanye has faced backlash over the last two months for antisemitic comments he’s made online and in interviews.
The rapper and Yeezy designer tweeted in October he would go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE”, mis-referencing the United States military term “DEFCON 3.”
Balenciaga, Adidas, and Gap have since cut ties with Kanye, and his ex-girlfriend Julia Fox called herself “delusional” in a TikTok for thinking she could help him during their relationship.
Summer Walker joined those calling for Balenciaga to be canceled after the high-end French fashion brand launched their recent holiday campaign featuring children carrying the brand’s ‘plush bear bags’, which are wearing bondage-style harnesses.
Social media users began sharing the hashtag #cancelBalenciaga once the images appeared online, blasting the brand for “sexualising” children.
Summer Walker took to her Instagram Stories to add her thoughts on Balenciaga. She shared a Fox News report about the issue, adding, “Cancel then how y’all canceled Kyrie and Kanye.”
Meanwhile, Balenciaga issued an apology in response to the backlash, admitting children should never have featured in the campaign.
“We sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused,” read a statement on their Instagram Stories. “Our plush bear bags should not have been featured with children in this campaign. We have immediately removed the campaign from all platforms.”
However, hours later, Balenciaga issued a second apology after social media sleuths pointed out references to child pornography in the adverts.
The second statement reads: “We apologize for displaying unsettling documents in our campaign. We take this matter very seriously and are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set and including unapproved items for our Spring 23 campaign photoshoot.”
In conclusion Balenciaga said, “We strongly condemn abuse of children in any form. We stand for children safety and well-being.”
In response to the threat of legal action, Gabriele Galimberti told Newsweek: “I am not in a position to comment [on] Balenciaga’s choices, but I must stress that I was not entitled in whatsoever manner to neither choose the products, nor the models, nor the combination of the same.”
Check out some of the social media reactions below.
the brand "Balenciaga" just did a uh….. interesting… photoshoot for their new products recently which included a very purposely poorly hidden court document about 'virtual child p###'
Never forget that @BALENCIAGA deleted their Twitter and all other Social Media posts to cover up the fact they were sexualizing children.#balenciagagatehttps://t.co/5q1p5MOJI7
Exactly! I’m in the fashion industry and there is no way specially premium price brands are careless with their shoot. So many levels of approvals go through it. Everyone is at fault not just the photographer and director #balenciaga#BalenciagaGatehttps://t.co/QwU1VKKKZl
When Balenciaga cute ties with you because of “antisemitism” & then puts out an add campaign of child bondage pedophilia & has to issue an apology because their company gets lynched online.@kanyewestpic.twitter.com/tIpfrtxKMV
YouTuber Charleston White has made headlines once again with his controversial antics after pulling a gun out during a recent interview.
White was a guest on Chicago’s DJ U Go Crazy podcast, where he continued to diss late Chi-Town rappers King Von and FBG Duck.
However, things went all the way left when DJ U attempted to defend the slain rappers’ families after Charleston White repeatedly referred to Duck’s mother as a “b####.”
“F### your pain. B####, give me back the money then, hoe,” Charleston yelled. “I ain’t have to help not one of you. My momma ain’t gotta bunch of kids that died. B####, I hope y’all hoes bury y’all babies. F### y’all pain, b####. Give me back my g###### money, hoe. Or suck my dick b####.”
Charleston White continued, “And Chicago, f### y’all. Suck my dick, b####. I keep a g###### gun for whatever. N####, I don’t give a f### about s###. I keep a g###### gun. N####, I keep a g###### gun, Chicago.”
DJ U shared a clip of the exchange on social media, claiming he gave the YouTuber the benefit of the doubt as he claims his “disrespectful” antics are just his online persona.
“I represent CHICAGO any and everywhere I go,” the Chicago DJ penned in the caption. “I was giving this goof ass old man the benefit of the doubt cause he claim to be “in character” when saying sum of the disrespectful s### he be saying but where I’m from once U up on a mf U gotta use it.” Watch the clip below and check out the build-up in the video at the end of the page.
Meanwhile earlier this year, Charleston White and his gun went viral for another reason. He reportedly shot himself while in a strip club in September.

Kanye West has been spotted with another concerning figure from the alt-right Nick Fuentes, following his announcement to run for president in 2024.
Earlier this week (Nov. 22), the Donda creator revealed he visited Donald Trump at his Mar-A-Lago estate, where he had a question for the former commander-in-chief. Kanye asked his former opponent in the 2020 election to be his running mate in the 2024 race.
While Ye has long since been a vocal supporter of Trump, despite allegedly receiving death threats for doing so, his new associations are worrying.
On Wednesday, footage of Kanye West at the Miami airport with white nationalist Nick Fuentes surfaced, reportedly taken before his Trump meeting. Other reports state that Fuentes and Ye were also seen together at Trump’s golf club.
Lol. @kanyewest is really out here in matching outfits and catching flights with Nick Fuentes — the white nationalist who called Black voters the “N*gger vote.” pic.twitter.com/EOJHOS0jZd
Fuentes, who hosts an online show called America First, rose to prominence in alt-right circles after becoming an influential figure during the “Stop the Steal” movement. The organization aimed to overturn the 2020 election result in favor of Donald Trump.
He also participated in the 2017 white supremacist “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville. An avowed neo-Nazi drove his car into a group of counterprotesters during the rally, killing a woman and injuring 35 people.
“You can call us racists, white supremacists, Nazis, & bigots,” Fuentes wrote in a Facebook post following the deadly 2017 “Unite the Right” rally, as per SPLC. “You can disavow us on social media from your cushy Campus Reform job. But you will not replace us. The rootless transnational elite knows that a tidal wave of white identity is coming. And they know that once the word gets out, they will not be able to stop us. The fire rises!”
Nick Fuentes also used the n-word during a broadcast of “America First,” aired in January 2022. He referred to Steve Bannon as a “fat retard,” who is trying to “flood the zone with n##### votes.” Watch the clip below.
Nick Fuentes calls Steve Bannon as a "fat r*t###" who is trying to "flood the zone with n##### votes."
On other occasions, Fuentes argued segregation and Jim Crow was better for Black people.
“They had to drink out of a different water fountain,” Fuentes said, according to Mother Jones. “Oh no, they had to go to different schools. Their water fountain in that famous picture was worse. Who cares? Grow up, drink out of the f###### water fountain. It’s water, it’s the same. Even if it was bad, who cares. We all agree, it’s better for them, it’s better for us. It’s better in general.”
He also struggles to not let the n-word slip out during broadcasts and uses homophobic slurs.
“They probably called into the lobby, these f######—I almost just said the n-word right there. Whatever, f##### leftists, nice try. These Blacks at the counter, they’re f###### up my opsec.”
First things first…I heard rumors that King Von had like 11 bodies on him. I heard that years ago, but I never put it out there. It was way too hot around the topic of Von. Now, that there is some space between his untimely passing, I guess people are talking about Von.
King Yella is one of the OGs at this point and he really knew Von in real life. In this latest interview, he seems a bit scared to talk about Von. But, he is in fact talking. I wonder if he got paid to talk in this frank, unapologetic way.
NBA YoungBoy suspects someone is hindering his views on YouTube.
The 23-year-old rapper suggested he knows who’s responsible for his YouTube issues in an Instagram Stories post on Wednesday (November 23). NBA YoungBoy didn’t identify the culprit.
“I already know who the people is that’s making YouTube limit my reach,” he wrote. “That’s irrelevant though.”
NBA YoungBoy’s YouTube comment was the first in a series of posts on his Instagram Stories. One teased an upcoming transformation.
“Won’t be today & it won’t be tomorrow but I’ve been preparing & planning to change forms unpainfully,” he wrote.
NBA YoungBoy boasted about his career in another post, defending his gold and platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America. He also informed readers of his impending exit from Instagram.
“You a stupid dick sucker if you think all [these] plaques ain’t real,” he wrote. “Yo favorite rapper can’t fwm n####. Just know my page finna deactivate you don’t deserve to see me.”
NBA YoungBoy vented on Instagram less than a week after he clashed with his Never Broke Again artist NoCap on social media. NoCap claimed he never received support from the Baton Rouge-bred rapper despite being signed to Never Broke Again for three years.
Toni Braxton doesn’t think her “sad love songs” are appropriate for weddings, but Lil Kim disagrees.
The Grammy-winning singer recalled an interaction she had with Lil Kim in an interview with Jennifer Hudson. Lil Kim asked Toni Braxton to sing at the rapper’s wedding if the Junor M.A.F.I.A. member ever ties the knot, but the R&B veteran thought it was a bad idea.
“She came up to me one day, she says, ‘Toni, girl, I love you,’” she said. “When I get married, I want you to sing at my wedding.’ And I said, Kimmy, you don’t want me to sing. I don’t have any happy love songs.”
Lil Kim specifically requested the single “You Mean the World to Me.” Toni Braxton felt the track wasn’t appropriate for a wedding.
“I’m like, ‘Kimmy, that’s not a good song,’” she explained, citing some of the lyrics.
But Lil Kim didn’t care. She allegedly responded, “Girl, can’t nobody understand what you say, just sing the song.”
Toni Braxton also talked about her family’s plans for Thanksgiving. She noted her family will have their dinner together via Zoom since they will be in different locations this year.

50 Cent recalled how much money he’s spent on legal fees as a celebrity in an interview with Brian J. Roberts.
The G-Unit rapper said he racked up over $23 million in legal fees since 2003. 50 Cent admitted he was taken aback by how much money he’s spent on litigation over the years.
“I spent over $23 million in legal fees since I’ve had success in 2003,” 50 Cent told Roberts. “So, when you say you successful or that you rich in a different way, that money was just written off as expenses of business. You in it and I’m going, ‘What?’ I’m like, when I look at it myself and really see how much you spent on that, I was like, ‘Wow!’”
He added, “The only thing anyone in America can do is sue someone. And the lawyers will always do it pro bono or say, ‘We’ll defend you in exchange for 30 percent of what we receive off of this because we do see a case here.’”
50 Cent’s latest legal battle involves a MedSpa owner named Angela Kogan. He accused her of implying he received penis enlargement surgery.
If the two cannot reach a settlement, the case will head to trial in July 2023. Earlier this week, 50 Cent commented on an AllHipHop report about the trial.
“Yeah my dick is a BIG DEAL set for trial in july no enhancement necessary,” he wrote on Instagram. “tTese fools put them selves out of business. SMH.”
Megan Thee Stallion asked a court to prevent 1501 Certified Entertainment from deposing Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez.
According to documents obtained by AllHipHop, Megan Thee Stallion sought a protective order for Perez in the rapper’s ongoing legal battle with 1501. Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyers criticized 1501 for issuing a subpoena to Perez, calling it an “underhanded tactic.”
“1501 does not seek relevant, admissible evidence because Perez does not have any,” the attorneys explained. “Rather, 1501 is intent on harassing Perez and disrupting her responsibilities as CEO of Roc Nation. But Texas law does not give 1501 a license to use discovery for these purposes. The apex doctrine is applicable where, as here, a party seeks to distract a senior executive from their duties to sit for an improper deposition.”
Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, sued 1501 in an effort to get out of her deal with the label. The multi-platinum selling artist believed she completed her contractual obligations.
Carl Crawford and his 1501 imprint claimed Megan Thee Stallion hasn’t fulfilled the terms of their deal. The label also argued it had no issues with her until Roc Nation became involved in her career.
1501 wanted to question Roc Nation’s CEO in the case. But Megan Thee Stallion’s legal team insisted a deposition of Perez would be “improper.”
“As set forth in the affidavit, Perez has no unique knowledge relevant to this action and her deposition is not reasonably likely to lead to relevant evidence,” the lawyers contended. “The claims and defenses at issue in this case involve two primary disputes: (1) the accounting between Pete and 1501; and (2) the contractual dispute regarding whether Pete’s two latest albums satisfy her recording commitments under the Artist Agreement. Perez does not have unique or superior knowledge regarding either.”
Attorneys acknowledged Perez has “some knowledge” of Megan Thee Stallion’s general affairs, but the Roc Nation CEO doesn’t handle the rapper’s finances. Lawyers sought a protective order for Perez, who wouldn’t provide relevant testimony regarding 1501’s album agreement.
“1501 does not seek to depose Perez for any legitimate reason and the posture of this dispute reveals that 1501’s hope is to avoid having its motion decided on the merits,” the legal team wrote. “The Court should not condone what is, at best, gamesmanship or, at worst, an abuse of the judicial process. Accordingly, the notice should be quashed and a protective order should issue.”
Imagine leaving for work perfectly healthy and returning home infected with an incurable sexually transmitted disease.
This was the harsh reality facing at least two women employed at Houston medical office building, and nearly a dozen more victims await to be tested.
There was no sex involved, but 50-year-old Lucio Diaz was being loose with his genitals around the office. Thus, bringing new meaning to conversations at the water cooler.
Employed as a janitor, he must’ve felt his work was too important to ruin, considering he used co-workers’ water bottles as his personal toilet.
According to reports, he may have also turned the water cooler into a u#####. Diaz was arrested in October and charged with aggravated assault.
Unfortunately for him, one victim caught Diaz’s dirty deed on camera after she set up a spy camera on her desk. Describing the scene the victim said, “[he] just picked it up, removed the cap, and proceeded to put his penis halfway into the bottle…then he tilted it up so that his penis was surrounded by the water.”
Clearly, he’s missed a few WAP appointments.
“I raised it to my face, smelled it, and it smelled like urine,” she later told KHOU 11.
Now two women are confirmed to have contracted herpes as a result of ingesting the tainted water. Meanwhile, 11 people await testing for the incurable disease.
Attorney Kim Spurlock said, “We filed suit on behalf of four victims.”
In addition to a civil suit against the building owner, Diaz, and his employer, assault with a deadly weapon will be added to his charges.
Based on his age and medical history, this man has been putting his penis in the wrong puddles for years.
Prosecutors need to keep this biohazard off the streets. Let’s see if he dares to play with water in prison.\
Ghostwriting is a normal thing now. And yet folks still want the credit for being creative. They don’t want to admit that they had help. And they want it to seem like they are genius or something. Well, earlier this week Latto had an epic leak of 130 songs, demos and reference tracks.
In the process, a lot of familiar songs were heard and Coi Leray and Bia were among them. It made them look crazy, especially when people are doing interviews about their creative process. Sooooooooooo….it is time for the explaining to happen.
Here’s what she had to say on IG Live.
“It’s unfortunate what happened to Latto. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. It’s f##### up, it’s foolish. There’s a lot of hard work that a lot of people put into the music — not only the artist, but the producers. And for people to go and leak something that’s precious to somebody is corny.
But I’m here to speak for myself and I do want to give a little education real quick. My whole album. I mean, every single feature written by me, so I know my pen game is super amazing.
This does not discredit none of these icons’ talent and pen game … There would be no game without writers. Now, when it comes to rap, I also understand that as well, but I do melodies, I’m melodic; I’m not sitting here trying to rap battle nobody. You see my freestyles I’m not the best thinker when it comes to freestyles. But when it comes to me taking my time and writing a song, I’m amazing.
You think if Young Thug wrote me a song, I couldn’t re-cut it? … I’m gonna re-cut the whole song, and I’m gonna do it the best way I can. It’s my song so I could change something if I wanted to. That’s just how music is created and y’all need to understand that. A lot of y’all are ignorant and need to grow up. It’s not a funny situation.”
The talk was captured on IG and re-uploaded to YouTube.
By the way, I believe there was a reference track for Nick Minaj in there. If you remember, they had a bit of a beef recently. Latto did not mention this either, which shows me she is super solid. She could have easily dropped that dime.
By the way, BIA was also in the leak and she also had something to say. Basically, she said she co-wrote all her stuff along with others, Latto included.
Latto kind of got the last word in though, essentially saying everybody is working with everybody. This means the art of emceeing is dying a slow death,
Many of Hip-Hop’s biggest stars have been giving back during this holiday season, spreading love to those in need.
Three of them, Fetty Wap, T.I., and 50 Cent, had events servicing their community, and people were smiling ear-to-ear in gratitude.
Fety Wap, a New Jersey native, hosted his giveaway on Tuesday, November 22nd, in Patterson, NJ, providing the community with bags full of must-haves for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, according to CBS.
The “Trap Queen” artist partnered with Colleges Achieve School, led by Dr. Gemar Mills to help about 500 family members. Fetty Wap was not in attendance because he is currently in prison for dealing kilos of cocaine, but his family members came out in proxy.
On the same day, T.I. hosted his 17th Annual Turkey Giveaway to hundreds in Northwest Atlanta, KWCH reports. This charitable effort did more than give away birds, but also provided bags (branded by Humana, the partner) of meal essentials.
“I can’t say how much this event means because I know now people in this area deserve to have a happy holiday,” Tip said. “They deserve to eat with their families and be at peace, just like everyone else does. So whatever we can do to provide that for them it brings me, my wife, my children the utmost honor.”
Queens native and new Houston transplant 50 Cent hooked up with the Houston Rockets’ Clutch City Foundation to help the underserved and vulnerable through his G-Unity Foundation.
The meal included a turkey and food items donated by the G-Unity Foundation, Kroger, and Spec’s. In total, Fif blessed 1,000 people.
In addition to the food, guests received a ticket voucher to an upcoming Rockets home game, Click 2 Houston stated.
While not a rapper, Usher, another Atlanta hero, hosted a holiday giveback on Wednesday, November 23rd, at the Freedom Village Family Service Center in Sandy Springs, GA.
Like the artists, we hope all have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
Amber Rose is a legend in her own right, and she continues to bless the world with her undeniable energy and beauty. Best known for her nickname MUVA, Amber is a down home South Philly chick at heart. And while she boasts over 23.1 million followers on Instagram alone, her humility is what fans can appreciate most.
Amber stands for all things female empowerment and women’s rights, reminding individuals all around the world to be confident, unapologetic, and always stand their ground regardless what comes their way. Using her enormous platform for the greater good, Amber went on to start the SlutWalk, a global movement calling for an end to rape culture, including victim blaming and s### shaming of sexual assault victims.
Surrounded by music her entire life, dating back to her roots in Philly, Amber is finally ready to step into the limelight as her own recording artist. Most recently, Amber connected with the legendary Mannie Fresh to release her new single and visual “GYHO,” which stands for “Get Your Hoe On.” The songs flip the Cash Money classic, “Get Your Roll On” by Big Tymers.
On the 44th episode of Shirley’s Temple, Amber Rose discusses getting Nicki Minaj on Kanye’s “Monster,” working with Mannie Fresh, her mental health, going through divorce, her experiences with therapy, her forthcoming album, and more!
AllHipHop: Definitely want to touch on the music, I saw an interview where you said you were doing music even before you were pregnant.
Amber Rose: So I’ve been working on my album right after I had my baby, so two years. Everything is pretty much done now, and I’m doing it all independently. Have really dope features.
AllHipHop: Give us one.
Amber Rose: I can’t. I can’t give you one, but you’ll be really surprised. I really took my time. I always loved music, I just always focused on other people’s music. I said f### it, I want to do it.
AllHipHop: That’s not talked about enough though. The fact that you got Nicki Minaj on “Monster,” that’s legendary.
Amber Rose: You know what’s so crazy about that? Nicki already said that eight years ago. Kanye already said that 10 years ago. Once I say it, it’s craziness. Everyone just goes crazy. I’m a type of person, I would have never said that if they didn’t already say it. There’s so many different things that I’ve done throughout the years that I will never talk about because I don’t feel like I need validation. But when I said it, I’m like how do you guys not know this? They already said it before.
AllHipHop: Did you get the A&R credit?
Amber Rose: No, I don’t think so. I never really looked into it. Again, I don’t do things for that reason. She’s dope, he has a song that she’d be dope on, I wanted to put that together. People think, how could he have not known her at the time? But you gotta think, once the album comes out, that was two years before that. It takes a long time. I love Nicki, she’s so talented. I’ve watched her career throughout the years, and I’m proud of her.
AllHipHop: When did you feel like you were ready to release music? You didn’t say anything for two years.
Amber Rose: Because I have children, I really didn’t want to be out during the pandemic when we really didn’t know what was going on. Wear a mask, don’t wear a mask. Six feet, blah blah blah. Watching the news every day, people were really dying left and right and it was really scary. I wanted to be in my house, go to the studio, go back to the house. Just wait for the right moment to be able to put it out and feel free to work it.
AllHipHop: You gotta tell us how “GYHO” with Mannie Fresh happened.
Amber Rose: I hit him in the DM, to be honest. That’s how I got most of my features, I DM them and hope for the best. The worst thing someone could say is no. You’ll be like okay cool, I’ll hit somebody else up and see if they say yes. And that’s what I did.
With Mannie Fresh, I said I want to do “GYHO” over “Get Your Roll On” beat. I initially had the “GYHO” beat sped up and looped, and I sent it to him. He said “this is f###### fire, but I need you to come down to Houston and let me reproduce the whole thing.” It was tight, we went to his house. He has a whole huge studio at his house, he was so accommodating and so f###### dope. Sometimes I still can’t believe that I worked with Mannie Fresh, it’s crazy.
AllHipHop: That moment must be surreal for you. Just seeing other rappers and their legendary sessions, and to now have your own. How does that feel?
Amber Rose: For him to want to work with me, that’s really cool. Because he could have wrote me off and said “b####, why the f### you trying to do music now?” I know that people feel like that and that’s fine, you have to prove them wrong. He had my back from the beginning. He loved my voice and said “yo, this s### is tight. Let’s do it.”
AllHipHop: Talk about getting him in the video, I thought that was legendary.
Amber Rose: We flew to the Dominican Republic, we shot it there. We got a huge big ass mansion out there, partied and worked. It was fun. Shout out to Playboy, shout out to Centerfold. Playboy definitely helped all that happen. “GYHO” was everythingthey wanted to be about. It was empowering for women to own our bodies and do what we want without explaining ourselves, and that’s what Playboy and Centerfold is all about.
Also, a misconception that I put that song out the same day Roe v. Wade got overturned was just not the case. When you’re independent, you have to upload a song a month before and set a date, then it comes out that date.
AllHipHop: Who do you distribute through?
Amber Rose: Distrokid, I do everything through Distro. I didn’t know that was going to happen, it actually came out the day before that happened. I saw that all over the internet. Why would I say: okay it’s such a traumatic time for women, let me put out a song. Some things people need to know, it’s ridiculous to think that.
AllHipHop: A big part of the show is mental health. How are you doing? How is your mental state?
Amber Rose: My mental health is better. What I do besides meditate, I really am into Buddhism. I’m learning, but I love that they’re not judgy. It’s really a simple philosophy of be a good person, and I love that. It’s not like if you’re gay, you’re going to hell. If you lie to someone… Christianity and all that s###, I don’t even want to get into that because that’ll take hours. Just be a good person.
One thing that I do for meditation is K’NEX. You can make ferris wheels, you can make helicopters. They came out in 1992, I came across them on Amazon one day. I’m like oh s###, I used to do this as a kid! They had a motorcycle one, so I made it for Slash. My little baby. I sat there for two hours, I didn’t think about anything. I didn’t think about b####### or my family or any toxicity or anything that I’d been through. It really was a form of meditation. Now I literally bought every one you can get. They have the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building. I take my time and put them all together.
AllHipHop: How do you fall into Buddhism? Did you have an awakening?
Amber Rose: One of my family members was Jesus-ing me to death. One of my friends said “you know Buddhism is the #1 philosophy/religion in the world?” I never really looked up Buddhism. I started looking it up, I started getting books. I’d read and read and read all day. I like it, itfeels good. It feels comfortable. I went to a Buddhist temple.
AllHipHop: I was going to ask if you went to a temple.
Amber Rose: Yeah, I took my niece. It was really nice. Again, it wasn’t like the church where if you have pink hair, you’re not welcome. I can’t even get into that. Everyone there was from all different walks of life. It was very welcoming, loving and warm. I just felt comfortable.
AllHipHop: Your divorce with Wiz was very difficult. What helped you get through that? I’m sure there’s a lot of females out there that are in the same position.
Amber Rose: I cried for three years straight, while dating other people. I’d be with them, then go in the bathroom and cry. I watched my mom be in such a toxic relationship my whole life. When they broke up, she never moved on. She was forever f##### up over that. It’s been 14 years now and she still hasn’t dated anyone since then.
That’s one of the mistakes I made during my divorce, was pushing myself to date people because I didn’t want to be like my mom. But I wasn’t ready. It’s f##### up, but it’s true. I can be honest. I’d be out on dates with them and literally go in the bathroom and cry. Come back and be like okay! I wasn’t happy for a long time.
AllHipHop: What finally helped you?
Amber Rose: I cried it out until I couldn’t cry anymore, that’s all you can do. Nothing can mend a heartbreak, it just takes time. It doesn’t just go away. There’s no Buddhism or nothing you can do to make that feeling go away. You gotta let time heal it.
Just know it’s temporary. When you really love somebody like that, that never goes away. But it does get better, it definitely gets better. That’s why me and Wiz coparent so well, because we’ve come to terms with our relationship a long time ago. We respect each other and our significant others. When we have parties for Sebastian, we all come together as a family. Even AE and Wiz, we all get along. There are times where Slash wants to go to Wiz’s house to see his brother, we’re one big happy family now.
AllHipHop: That obviously had to take time, right?
Amber Rose: Yeah, it takes time. We’ve always been really good coparents. Because even if you’re mourning, you still have to make it about the kids. You can’t make it about you, or who he’s dating or who you’re dating. You gotta make it about your baby, and that’s what we did.
AllHipHop: Growing up with divorced parents, were there things you saw that you didn’t want to happen in your own life?
Amber Rose: With my mom’s situation, I didn’t want to end up like that so I forced myself to date when I wasn’t ready. Being famous and married is a million times harder. If the statistics already say “non-famous people are getting divorced at a rapid rate” – when you’re famous, it’s way harder. We get photographed or there’s fake stories about us.
If I go out with my friends and an NBA player is in the same restaurant, the next day: “Amber was seen with so and so.” I don’t know him! That’s unfair for you to make a story about me, and now I have to live with that and explain myself when it’s not the case. It makes it that much harder. Especially, we were young when we got married. We weren’t really prepared mentally for that.
AllHipHop: When was the first time you went to therapy?
Amber Rose: A couple of years ago. It didn’t really help me. I guess it was someone to talk to, but for me, make the pain go away. And therapy doesn’t do that, they just talk and they’ll give you homework for a week. Then you’ll talk to them the following Thursday.
“Hey, don’t have these negative thoughts. I’ll see you on Thursday.” B####, I just paid you $400. What’re you telling me right now? Give me something, I’m paying you to figure it out. People should try it though, it might work for them. There’s therapy for a reason, but it wasn’t for me.
AllHipHop: You went to couple’s therapy right?
Amber Rose: It was the same. It was just homework. You need to figure out what’s wrong with you, and move accordingly. Because that’s not my problem.
AllHipHop: Was mental health discussed in your household growing up?
Amber Rose: Girl, hell no. Not at all. My whole family is f##### up.
AllHipHop: Do you discuss it in your household?
Amber Rose: Yes. My children are very little, so it’s not really a conversation with them yet. You know what, I’m lying. Because with Sebastian, he has friends that gaslight him. They’re young, so I try to have those conversations with Sebastian. Because he has a friend, she always makes him jealous on purpose. That’s not a real friend Sebastian.
Because a real friend would be honest with you and say, “I want to play with a different friend today.” Or “I have a playdate with this person, I’ll call you when I’m done.” He’s so loving and sensitive, he really gets his feelings hurt. She’ll be like, “I’m not playing with you now because my best friend is here.” Sebastian, that’s not cool. You don’t need to be friends with people like that. I want to be like b####! Talk to my f###### son like that. [laughs] I’m playing. She’s nine.
AllHipHop: I know you named Slash after Guns N’ Roses, music’s really been a part of your life.
Amber Rose: Yeah babe, I grew up in South Philly. I grew up in a very soulful city. Every barber shop, every corner store, every hair salon, every car that drove by, it’s always music. My mom was a waitress my whole life. When I was young, she couldn’t afford a babysitter. I’d have to sit in a booth in the diner and listen to music all day, color and s###.
I was Sebastian’s age: eight, nine years old. I knew all the Four Tops, Temptations. I knew Donna Summers, Anita Baker, word for word. I knew every song ever. I’d go home and watch MTV, so I knew all the grunge, the heavy metal, the rap. I knew it all. I fell in love with it. That’s probably why I date artists, because I think it’s hot. Being creative, I want to be around this.
AllHipHop: Is there a line that you can’t cross in hoeing?
Amber Rose: People are so shocked that I say that. I’m not saying please go out and share your body with everyone. I’m not telling people to do that. I’m simply saying that those derogatory labels that are used against women, will be used against you anyway. So live your best life, whatever that may be. Because again, I was called a hoe online when I had one boyfriend in the industry. I was the biggest w#### on earth, I had one boyfriend.
It got to the point where bruh, I’m not dealing with this s###. If I’m a hoe because I’ve dated your favorite rapper and now you’re mad at me, that’s also kind of gay. Stop being mad at me because I’ve dated your favorite rapper and they loved me. That’s what you’re really mad about, because they all loved me. It wasn’t fake relationships. We cared about each other, regardless of who I dated. Why are you really upset? Why am I called all these derogatory labels? That’s why I got to the point where I embrace the derogatory labels and I don’t let them hurt me. My fanbase and all the girls do the same. You know what? I’m not going to let this hurt me either. We created a whole movement around that.
It’s similar to what the gay community did with the F-word. These kids were committing suicide because they were being called that in school, they didn’t want to live like that. Now gay boys call each other that all the time. Same thing with the N-word with black people, we’re taking these words back and not letting them hurt us anymore.
When I say be a compassionate hoe: why are you out f###### married women or married men? Why are you breaking up homes on purpose? Because you think it’s cool, it’s not. You can go be single and be a hoe, that’s what I’m telling you to do. If you want to do that, you should do that. But don’t involve family and children, people’s hearts and their mental health. That’s not cool, that’s not what I’m about at all.
AllHipHop: What can we expect from your album?
Amber Rose: My album is a mix of Marilyn Manson, System of Down, Madonna, Rick Ross, and Lil Kim had a baby. That’s my album. “GYHO” was literally put out to disrupt the market. We didn’t even make a clean version for radio. We wanted to p### people off real quick, and that’s the tip of the iceberg of the songs that we have.
Diddy done fell and bumped his head somewhere in 1992, thinking he could’ve played Bishop in the cult-classic “Juice.”
Fat Joe recently hosted Ralph McDaniels in the latest session of his Instagram live. You never know what type of controversy may arise.
Through casual conversation, Joe seems to know how to get intricate details out of Hip-Hop’s biggest names. During the conversation, the legendary host of Video Music Box recalled getting a call from the Bad Boy Entertainment CEO.

Ralph explains “Juice“ was the first movie he ever worked on. At the time, Diddy was working on a film with Andre Harrell, but he was eventually fired. This prompted the call.
“He said Ralph, you’re working on ‘Juice‘. I want to be Bishop. I saw the script, Bishop, that’s me,” Uncle Ralph revealed.
Puzzled by Diddy’s sudden inquiry, he assured him Tupac already had the job.
These days, Diddy seems to have a loving attitude toward all. Despite changing his middle name to Love back in May 2022, Thirty years ago, he may have been a straight-up hater.
In response to the “I Ain’t Mad At Cha” rapper being picked for the role of Bishop, Diddy supposedly said “Nah, I’m from Harlem Ralph, just think about it. Think about the script. That’s me!”
Ralph concluded this was a hard ask. Fat Joe seemed to have a similarly puzzling look before laughing at the thought of Diddy playing Bishop.
Bishop was supposed to be from Harlem.
With Diddy, there’s a feeling he would’ve been a little more “money-earning Mt. Vernon.”
After going into rehab and rebuilding her life upon release, Wendy Williams is back on the road to her happiness.
On Monday, November 21st, Miss “How You Doing?” made her first public appearance at New York’s OG terrestrial radio WBLS’s Circle of Sisters Series.
The topic on hand? Love.
When asked about love in the future, Williams said, “I never deny it, and the first thing I think when I see men is, ‘Are they wearing the finger?’ ‘Cause if they’re wearing the finger, then that’s an immediate hello. But I can’t wait to fall in love, and I don’t want to get married.”
She also said she wouldn’t mind if her new man had a family, hoping the kids were preteen or teen.
“Then we’ll be able to do things together,” she continued. “Like if we want to all of a sudden want to fly from New York City, if we want to fly to France to be there for two days to have food or whatever, I want to be able, you know, I could be qualified with a man that, ‘Come on, baby. Let’s do it. Do we fly private or do we fly public?'”
