Chicago rapper Lil Jay has been released from prison after being convicted for a murder that happened seven years ago.
The ordeal started in 2015 over a drug deal gone wrong. Filmon Rezene, Lil Jay, and several associates were involved in a shootout over a botched marijuana deal.
Rezene was killed in the ensuing gun battle with the drug dealer, who claimed self-defense.
The rapper was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and intent to kill and injure. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison in July of 2019.
The rapper, born Jeff McGraw, has finally been released from state prison after serving a little over 7 years. He hopped on an Instagram to let everyone know he was back out on the streets.
The buzzing rapper was part of the Fly Boy Gang, which included late rapper FBG Duck. Prior to his incarceration, Lil Jay was involved in a heated beef with rap star Lil Durk.
Lil Durk dissed Lil Jay on the track “Competition,” and Jay responded with a track called “Take You Out Yo Glory Remix.”
Unfortunately, one of Lil Jay’s closest associates, FBG Duck, was murdered in broad daylight in downtown Chicago as Lil Jay sat in prison.
The Feds believe FBG Duck’s murder was part of an ongoing feud between Lil Durk’s O Block associates and the FBG gang.
FBG Duck released tracks like “Dead B######” dissing O-Block’s namesake Odee Perry, who was killed in 2011, and “I’m From 63rd,” which dissed King Von, who was murdered in an unrelated shooting in November of 2020.
Ahmad Taher, a music promotion expert from Chicago, built a name for himself through his company Research Warrant. Ahmad used a personal interview to speak about his personal journey in the music industry and his challenges along the way. He explains, “I want people to know anything is possible. I grew up in a poor household and didn’t have a lot growing up. I worked really hard in school so that I could get a full ride and go to college.
I realized in school I was unhappy chasing a dream my parents wanted and didn’t know what I wanted to do. I withdrew and trusted my gut moved to Los Angeles with nothing and was able to make something out of nothing in about three years. Trust your gut regardless of what anyone says. Everyone close to me thought I lost my mind for chasing my dreams, and [once] things started to pan out for me, they started to believe in my vision.
”Ahmad embodies the pursuit of finding one’s true passion, and he hopes that others will be able to follow in his footsteps. He preaches the advice to have tunnel vision and trust one’s intuition. He says, “Stay determined regardless of anything or anyone external. Take every loss as an opportunity to learn. You get one opportunity to live, chase your dreams and stay focused. This is an uncomfortable ride. Be comfortable being out of your comfort zone.
”Ultimately, this strategy paid off for Ahmad and Research Warrant as the agency has become a go-to name in the industry. They have worked with highly sought clients such as the late Young Dolph, Lil XXEL, Alicia Keys, Lil Durk, $uicieboy$, Lil Baby, 6ix9ne, and others. In the next few years, Ahmad hopes to work on at least 50 top five albums and sign more talented artists who may not have gotten the opportunities they deserve.
Rihanna explained that she had been friends with Rocky for years, but they became serious amid the Covid-19 lockdown, during which they took a road trip from Los Angeles to New York in a big tour bus in the summer of 2020.
“People don’t get out of the friend zone very easily with me. And I certainly took a while to get over how much I know him and how much he knows me, because we also know how much trouble we can land each other in,” she said.
“There’s no pretentious my-brand-your-brand b#######, it’s just us living. I just feel like I can do any part of life by his side,” Rihanna explained.
The singer, who took Rocky to meet her family in Barbados that Christmas, admitted they weren’t actively planning to have a baby when she fell pregnant.
“I wouldn’t say planning. But certainly not planning against it,” she stated. “I don’t know when I ovulate or any of that type of s###. We just had fun. And then it was just there on the test. I didn’t waste any time. I called him inside and showed him. Then I was in the doctor’s office the next morning, and our journey began.
“I always thought it would be marriage first, then a baby, but who the f### says it has to be that way. I’m certainly not gonna let that get in the way of me being a mom.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the 34-year-old shared that she hasn’t slowed down her hectic schedule as she knows her life will be different “on the other side.”
She also joked that she might hire a party bus to be parked outside the hospital when she goes into labor so her nearest and dearest can be nearby.
Reality star Kim Kardashian has included her ex-husband in the storyline of her new show on Hulu, “The Kardashians.”
This time, she is sharing with a friend just how much the billionaire business loves her — so much he would throw it all away to dress her up like a doll.
During a scene in an upcoming episode, the mother of four is getting ready to host “Saturday Night Live,” the longest-running sketch comedy show and longest-running variety show on television.
While prestigious, the show is also her new boyfriend, Peter Davidson’s employer. Still, the clip is centered around Yeezy and the outfits he selected for her appearance.
After trying on a few, she says to a friend in the room with her, “Kanye wants to quit everything and dedicate his life to being my stylist.”
The two women laugh.
Despite being a “stylist” before they got together, Kim Kardashian has spoken about how her image has evolved since Ye poured his Chicago drip over her life.
Check out this clip that shows hows the celebrity lawyer’s fashion sense has changed since she linked up with the “College Drop Out.”
Fans have noticed the difference since Kanye stopped dressing her.
Twitter user Kat Don V said, “I’ve lost so much respect for @KimKardashian. Kim, you used to be such a “fashion icon” to me. All credit is due to @kanyewest. It’s Ye’s vision I have been looking up to for years. He’s the fashion icon. So much respect to Ye. He was used.”

Rumors have it that even North West has an eye for what looks good on her mom.
“Kim Kardashian says North West ‘complains’ about her style choices: The 8-year-old is as opinionated as her dad, Kanye West when it comes to fashion.”

Kanye (and content about Kanye) has been a staple on the show, even though the two are not together.
Most of it is her perspective on dealing with several of his public breakdowns, his obsession with getting back with her, his issues with raising their children, social media spazzes, and how much he doesn’t like her new man.
The music has evolved these last few years drastically; there have been massive shifts that aren’t necessarily for the worst. Industry leader and respected artist Christopher Steven Brown entered the music world at a time of enormous innovation and change. He intends to be part of that revolution paving the way for emerging artists and fostering a brand that elevates people, passion, and purpose.
As a prominent figure in the music industry, Christopher Steven Brown’s work ethic and devotion to excellence have made a profound impression on his career, allowing him to push the envelope and color out of the lines to leverage his team towards success creatively. There’s something to be said about labels who intentionally care for the musicians under them––when it comes to committing himself to artist development and strategic planning (most indie artists’ kryptonite), Christopher Steven Brown is no exception.
On top of this, Christopher Steven Brown always reminds creatives to stay humble and keep a wise outlook, as the spontaneity of great ideas is unpredictable. If you confine yourself in a creative box, your platform will never grow, and your craft will plateau.
This year, Christopher Steven Brown’s goals are further establishing his brands’ credence, networking with like-minded industry leaders, and growing the artists under his management. We can expect to see more of Christopher Steven Brown in the public eye and media space– it’s undeniable that his swift progress will draw attention. One thing is for sure his star power will keep on growing.
Currently, Drill is all the rage! This immensely popular, sub-genre of Hip-Hop is alive and thriving. However, forces seem to be aligning to attempt to kill the emerging craft.
At any rate, in “Operation Drilly” Bronx police arrest 20 alleged gang members, this according to the New York Daily News. So, the Hip-Hop police are real and are prowling about. Perhaps, there is ample justification for this lurid pursuit to squash the prominent art.

Last Thursday (April 7), a plethora of evidence was brought to the light. As a matter of fact, the Bronx D.A. — Darcel Clark — remains steadfast. She believes that there is correlation between the popular prose and a litany of heinous acts.
Furthermore, her office is seeking charges against a slew of said G-Side/Drilly gang members. These individuals are purportedly affiliated with the Bloods, ‘Sex Money Murder’ gang. Be that as it may, the new music finds itself in the crosshairs.
So, from an array of Drill videos, investigators are bolstering the prosecution. D.A. Clark contends, “It was senseless violence. It was beefs and slights and disrespects that all drove some of these incidents. We’re doing all that we can to deal with and battle the guns scourge that is happening here in the Bronx.”
Soon, more thoughtful insight is added to her statement, “But, more must be done to deviate these young people from the life of gangs and senseless violence. We do need to do more.”
As a result of Operation Drilly, 18 guns have been removed from the street. Additionally, a litany of charges ranging from murder to grand larceny are facing the apprehended individuals.
How many of these charges are actually valid? When should one’s art be considered an admission to a crime?
When listening to music, you come across an artist whose talent makes you wonder, “Who’s on that track?” This is the highest compliment an artist can receive because it means that their talent has caught the attention of someone who wants to listen, but also wants to share it with another hundred people like themselves. There is a lot of competition out there in the world today since there are so many songs uploaded to so many platforms that are accessible from all over the world. When an artist combines talent with emotion, the listener gets a front-row seat to a masterpiece. This is the case for DMV artist Hailstackz and FRQNZY, who have released their debut track “4 The World”.
Throughout the song, Frqnzy takes the listener through the raw emotions that he experiences as he reflects on the toxic energy that has been absorbed from past relationships, and he asks the listener if there is a time to release such an individual and start moving forward on his or her own journey.
The majority of people face this challenge every day but lack the courage to pursue the truth in their emotions or to face their partner when it comes to facing their emotions. This song features the voice of FRQNZY perfectly complemented by Hailstackz’s melody and chorus; in addition, hailstackz delivers a raw second verse in which he discusses just how couples continue to stay together despite knowing what is wrong together.
The ability to generate a huge amount of music is one thing, but it is another to orchestrate it into a truly unique piece of music. The duo has announced plans for a global tour in conjunction with the release of their upcoming EP, “BiPolar Love”. The dates will include both in-state and out-of-state stops, including performances in Europe, the United Kingdom, Africa, and Canada.
On his new EP, he offers listeners an array of chart-toppers that are sure to give them a ride of a lifetime. I am excited to see “4 the World” setting new standards for dope artists, and we are looking forward to seeing the torch carried by these artists, who are pushing the envelope of what we consider “dope content.” HipHop’s legacy will only grow if these types of artists continue to speak their truth.
We look forward to what the future holds for FRQNZY and HailStackz.
In a new interview with Extra, the reality TV star explained that she isn’t in a rush to share the moniker she and rapper Travis have finally settled on.
“We just haven’t fully legally changed it or anything, so I don’t want to announce a new name and then change it again,” she stated.
Around a month after Kylie gave birth, she also candidly discussed her postpartum experience, declaring that it “has not been easy.” While she is in “baby heaven” now, the star noted that she felt compelled to be transparent with her fans.
“I just didn’t feel right to go back like nothing happened… I don’t want my fans or any other women going through postpartum right now to look at me and think, ‘Oh, it’s so easy for her, how was it not easy for me?’ I just wanted to say something before I went back to life like everything is O.K.” the 24-year-old added.
Kylie, who is currently promoting her family’s new Hulu TV show The Kardashians, also shares a four-year-old daughter named Stormi with Travis.
So, Zino is now synonymous with a multitude of his legendary exploits. Be that as it may, the question remains how will Hip-Hop remember this enduring character? Well, Benzio was recently arrested for an alleged punching incident.
Of course, there is accompanying video of the situation’s aftermath. For all the inquiring minds, the father of Coi LeRay is a man of his word. No, it did not have anything to do with Eminem.
https://www.instagram.com/p/COR8W0dl-gR/
As a matter of fact, the esteemed entrepreneur is a passionate individual. Nevertheless, what if anything, does this innate fervor have to do with the situation? Well, let the Braselton, Georgia police tell it, Mr. Krabby Patty was fighting mad.
By all means, the accompanying body cam footage, shows the former owner of The Source in a state of physical distress. First off, the alleged situation comes about following an encounter with his ex, Althea Hart. Moreover, Ms. Hart maintains that Zino violently lashes out.
Currently, the former couple actively come together to raise their son. For some reason, on this particular day, things went terribly awry. Ultimately, the former rapper is arrested for criminal damage.
Following calls to the authorities, both Ms. Hart and passers-by, contend that the gym enthusiast punched a truck. Ultimately, this results in King Scott eventually being whisked away to the slammer. Questioning pleas fall on deaf ears.
Reality star Kim Kardashian threatened to sue Wack 100 and Ray J if they release a second explicit tape on the internet.
During the first episode of the new series “The Kardashians” on Hulu, the billionaire influencer calls her lawyer Marty Singer after she hears about Wack 100, Ray J’s former manager threatening to release unseen clips from the explicit tape that made her famous.
The 41-year-old influencer says in the preview, “Over my dead body is this happening again. I know the right attorneys this time, and I’m not going to let this happen to me again,” said Kim, who received almost $20 million from her first infamous tape with Ray J.
“I have all the time, all the money, and all of the resources to burn them all the f###### ground,” Kim Kardashian barked.
She said she would exhaust all of her money and power to guard “myself for my reputation and my children’s sake.”
According to Page Six, who spoke to Singer back in September 2021, the claim that there is an unreleased explicit tape “is unequivocally false. It is unfortunate that people make these statements to try and get their 15 minutes of fame.”
The California gangsta said on his Instagram Stories, “A message to @kimkardashian attorneys ask your client about ‘SANTA BARBARA’ & the signed deliverables for tape 1, 2 & 3 @rayj can’t control what I NOW control. If I hear 15 minutes of fame again I’ll be forced to display the Signed CONTRACTS #TRYME.”
In a statement regarding the validity of Kanye’s claims, one of Kim’s spokespersons said, “The computer and hard drive collected were supposed to contain the original video and any unseen footage.” The rep added that the only new footage featured Kim and Ray “on the plane on the way to Mexico and footage at a club and restaurant on the same trip.”

Sixteen people were shot or hurt during a mass shooting in a New York subway station in Brooklyn, the largest borough in the city and the third-largest municipality in America.
On Tuesday, April 12th, one lone gunman, dressed in an orange reflective construction vest and a gas mask, terrorized hundreds of people on the southbound R train, beginning at the 25th Street station in the predominately white area of Sunset Park during the early morning rush-hour crowd.
Through one of his communications reps Fabien Levy, Mayor Eric Adams told his constituents, “To stay away from this area for their safety and so that first responders can help those in need and investigate.”
.@NYCMayor continues to be briefed on the situation.
While we gather more information, we ask New Yorkers to stay away from this area for their safety and so that first responders can help those in need and investigate. https://t.co/Tl2EXx8wuC
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has reached out to the Mayor after being briefed on the mass shooting.
@POTUS has been briefed on the latest developments regarding the New York City subway shooting. White House senior staff are in touch with Mayor Adams and Police Commissioner Sewell to offer any assistance as needed.
Images from the crime scene showed multiple bloodied passengers dazed from the ordeal where a shooter blasted up a confined car of a subway train.
Reports said he dazed people by throwing smoke bombs and then started shooting.
Retired NYC Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said, “This perpetrator dropped those smoke cans, if that’s what they are, and shot around, and then exited from that point.”
“He’s not going to stay on there if there’s smoke on there, even if he has the filter mask,” Detective Boyce said.
It is believed the gunman exited the train with some of the victims at the 36th Street station stop.
Schools in the incident area have been placed on lockdown or sheltered until the suspect is secured and apprehended.
Eight patients, who were in stable condition, were taken to NYU Langone-Brooklyn. Five victims were taken to the Maimonides Medical Center. Two of them were treated for gunshot wounds, and the other three were seen for smoke inhalation.
Three other patients were brought to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where they are being treated for injuries caused by the attack.
The city issued alerts on social media regarding travel in that area.
“Expect delays & service changes on D/N/R/F trains in Brooklyn and Manhattan. W/B/R trains are suspended in Brooklyn. http://mta.info. Multilingual & ASL Link: http://on.nyc.gov/2gFqaVT.”
Earlier this year, Young Buck (born David Darnell Brown) filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy protection. The move was an attempt to prevent Buck from having to pay creditors such as Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.
Young Buck recently appeared on the It’s TrickyWith Raquel Harper podcast. That conversation with the TMZ correspondent included the 41-year-old rapper discussing his issues with the G-Unit founder.
“We’re at a standstill,” said Young Buck about his involvement with 50 Cent’s G-Unit. “I’m definitely not looking to go down a whole drawn-out court situation when it all could be done on a business level.”
The Straight Outta Cashville creator later added, “[50 Cent] sent cease-and-desist [letters] out to try to stop all of my music and get everything pulled down based on saying I’m still an artist on G-Unit.”
According to Young Buck, those actions by 50 Cent forced him to find different ways to complete the one album he reportedly has left on his G-Unit deal. That strategy included filing for bankruptcy.
“What I did was once [50 Cent] stopped me from being able to make money, I filed another bankruptcy. And they stopped him from being able to cease-and-desist anything,” explained Buck.
The No Warning actor also stated, “I included what he claimed that I owed him in the bankruptcy to be able to say, ‘Well, hey. If you’re owed this, then present whatever receipts or whatever you’ll get paid type of situation.’ That was the only way I was able to go forward with working. 50 hasn’t been able to stop no music I put out right now.”
The No Jumper Instagram page reposted a video of Boosie Badazz speaking with his 68-year-old mother, Jacquelyn Hatch, in Jamaica. In the clip, Boosie comments on his mom’s swimming attire.
“Mama, you got on a bathing suit? What you got on? Tights? Them cheeks out?” stated Boosie. “Man, you gotta let your cheeks out, ma. You gotta put on a two-piece, ma. You gotta put on a two-piece and let them cheeks hang out.”
The 39-year-old Heartfelt album creator also said, “Ooh, look at them cheeks! Look at them cheeks, mama. We got some old men on my Live… You saw that old man waving at you at that restaurant, flirting with you.”
Boosie Badazz did not just speak about Jacquelyn Hatch’s outfit during an Instagram Live session this week. The “Wipe Me Down” hitmaker also addressed his mom’s swimsuit on Twitter.
“MY MOMMA GOT ON ONE PIECE SPECIAL BATHING SUIT‼️ THESE JAMAICAN MEN [ARE] ALL ON MY MOMMA… WTF THIS FEELS WEIRD lmao,” Boosie tweeted on Tuesday morning.
Boosie has been very supportive of his mother as well. Last September, the outspoken southern rapper gifted Jacquelyn Hatch a brand new Cadillac truck. Footage of the moment got picked up by social media blogs.
MY MOMMA GOT ON ONE PIECE SPECIAL BATHING SUIT ‼️THESE JAMAICAN MEN ALL ON MY MOMMA…WTF THIS FEELS WEIRD lmao
Critics Slammed Boosie Badazz For Sex-Related Incidents Involving His Kids
Previously, Boosie experienced backlash for his actions involving another member of his family. In March, the Bad Azz Music Syndicate representative and his 18-year-old son were seen examining an exotic dancer’s privates with a magnifying glass which led to negative reactions on social media.
“I’m training these boys right. Ask any of my nephews, ask any of them, ask my son. Yeah, when they were 12, 13 they got head. Yeah, that’s how it’s supposed to be. Hell yeah, I got my f###### son’s dick sucked. You’re f###### right. Yes, a grown woman, grown, super grown, super grown checked his ass out. Checked all my nephews out, super grown,” said Boosie.
Terrence “Pusha T” Thornton famously exposed that Aubrey Drake Graham had a secret son to most of the world. The Virginia-bred rapper presented that revelation as one of the scathing bars on his “The Story of Adidon” diss track directed at Drake.
Now that Pusha T is a father to his own son, it appears the 44-year-old emcee no longer wants to go back and forth with his longtime rap adversary. King Push spoke about his change of heart on a recent episode of Showtime’s Desus & Mero late-night talk show.
“I don’t like the energy of mentioning my son in that type of energy or any kid in that type of energy,” Pusha T told Desus Nice and The Kid Mero. “It’s not my thing right now. I got my son.”
One-half of the legendary rap duo known as Clipse continued, “And it’s like, with me, I’m just not going to play about anything involving him. Like, I don’t play nothing. So it’s like, ‘You know what? I’ll just [stop].'”
Pusha T Previously Declared The Beef Was Over
Two months ago, Pusha T also spoke about the status of his feud with Drake. This was after the OVO leader and Pusha’s G.O.O.D. music comrade Kanye West ended their own longstanding public rivalry at the “Free Larry Hoover Concert” late last year.
“I’ve already looked past that… I don’t look towards it anymore,” stated Pusha about beefing with Drake. He added, “Bygones are bygones, far as I see. And I think that’s really good that they did squash it. That works really good for them.”
Pusha T is preparing to release his fourth solo studio LP titled It’s Almost Dry. He dropped the single “Diet Coke” in February. Plus, Hip Hop icons Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams joined Pusha for the “Neck & Wrist” collaboration. It’s Almost Dry follows 2018’s Grammy-nominated Daytona.
Jayceon “The Game” Taylor is once again sharing his thoughts about Marshall “Eminem” Mathers. This time, the Compton emcee expresses his desire to go bar-for-bar with Em.
Just Blaze and Katty Customs spoke to The Game for UPROXX’s Fresh Pair show. The video interview included The Documentary album creator challenging Eminem to step up to the plate with bars.
“I don’t care if you’re richer, and I don’t care if you got more plaques, and I don’t care who thinks you’re great. N####, I’m better today,” The Game declared. “And if I’m not, get up and let’s rap. That’s all I want to do is rap.”
The onetime Aftermath/G-Unit/Interscope roster member added, “You did it with [Machine Gun Kelly]. Why not do it with me? You did it with Mariah Carey. You did it with Nick Cannon.”
Then Just Blaze asked The Game why is he so focused on specifically wanting to battle Eminem. Game used his answer to take another direct shot at his longtime rival Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.
“Because 50 can’t rap. And so I gotta go a level up and challenge the better rapper. That’s why. And not to take nothing away from what 50’s doing. He can see it, tweet it, and he knows I’m gonna respond. Or he can go rap about it, but he’s gonna lose that battle,” explained The Game.
While The Game trashed 50 Cent’s lyrical ability, The Black Wall Street Records founder did give his former G-Unit boss “dead flowers” for his success as a television producer. 50 is behind hit series such as Power and BMF.
Despite previously claiming he will say whatever he wants, Hip Hop recording artist Tory Lanez is claiming he did not rap about his assault case in a new song. Many listeners believed Lanez did address the situation on his “Mucky James” track.
A California judge ordered Tory Lanez (born Daystar Peterson) not to publicly discuss his pending criminal trial. Lanez is also barred from contacting or mentioning fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion, the alleged shooting victim.
“I am not talking about my court case on the song #MuckyJames,” tweeted Tory Lanez. “I see all these blogs trying to connect the two… and honestly I have more sense than that. I would not play with the court order or the judge like that … please stop that narrative.”
I am not talking about my court case on the song #MuckyJames …. I see all these blogs trying to connect the two … and honestly I have more sense than that . I would not play with the court order or the judge like that … please stop that narrative .
However, some of the lyrics on “Mucky James” seem to refer to Megan Thee Stallion accusing Tory Lanez of firing a gun at her in July 2020. Lanez raps, “I was at a high in my career, you think I’d come out here and [redacted]. And if you think I’d do that s###, you on some stupid s###.”
Tory Lanez maintains he is not guilty of harming Megan Thee Stallion. Prosecutors charged Lanez with felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He faces a possible maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in state prison if convicted.
Fekky is using his life experience to help change the lives of youths with his foundation that teaches kids how to make money themselves by introducing them to various trades from bricklaying to coding.
The veteran of the U.K. rap scene opened up about CC Foundation during a recent interview with Zeze Millz. “The main aim of CC is to open up a trade school,” Fekky announced, explaining the idea behind the foundation.
Meanwhile, the rapper has come a long way from his upbringing in south London with his new farm in the English countryside.
Fekky first introduced the world to his farm back in October 2001 after working on it all summer. “Welcome to ‘F manor ‘” he wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption. He also revealed giving up his “big house for some acres” was a daunting decision for him to make. However, being confined to the restrictions of the pandemic altered his outlook on life.
“Lockdown changed my perspective a lot on life and made me focus on what’s important,” Fekky admitted. “I started my garden show in lockdown and had so many people locked innn. I truly found out the benefits of working with nature and it has been like therapy for all the PTSD I suffered.”
Fekky documented his journey to becoming a competent farmer through updates on social media. he shared his journey “going from opps to besties” with his chickens in one hilarious video.
The inspiration for “F Manor” comes from an unusual place. Fekky said he was inspired after watching a documentary about Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar’s luxurious estate, Hacienda Nápoles. He began thinking long term, “and now here we are,” he added.
“I have been thinking about purpose , legacy ,generational wealth , and my kids in hopes to inspire a generation to think outside the box n be free to be you n realise nothing is out of your reach.”
New Music
Fekky also announced his plans for horses and fruit and vegetables while revealing he was working on new music at his new place. “Got my studio on here also,” he said. “The music I been recording is too mad straight bangerssss there’s something in the air in out ere !”
True to his word, Fekky dropped Red Wine last month, featuring Backroad Gee and Wstrn’s Haile. He displayed his horse-riding skills in the view for “Heavy Heavy,” watch it below.
PsychoYP is a whole vibe, and he puts his all into his music. At only 23 years old, the rising star is already forging his path to becoming one of the greats in the music industry, one banger at a time. Hailing from Nigeria but now based in London, PsychoYP has even been deemed the Fresh Prince of Nigerian rap, straddling the genres of hip-hop, trap, grime, drill, and R&B.
Most recently, PsychoYP unleashed two highly-anticipated singles titled “Midlife Crisis” and “WYDTM,” both created with long-time collaborator and producer SCXTT — who’s worked with everyone from AJ Tracey to Timbaland. With the latter influenced by the UK Garage scene, PsychoYP showcases his talents as a recording artist, and his versatility to attend to all types of audiences.
This new release follows the success of his previous project titled Euphoria, which has accumulated over 3 million streams and landed the #1 spot on Apple Music NG Top Hip-Hop/Rap Album.
AllHipHop: How is it over there in London?
PsychoYP: It’s cold right now for some weird reason. I just came from Nigeria so it’s colder than usual for me right now. It’s like 10 to 12 degrees out here right now, crazy.
AllHipHop: Talk about being from Nigeria. When did you come to England?
PsychoYP: I grew up in Nigeria and England but I’ve got family everywhere. Being from Nigeria, you’ve always got a big family. I’ve also been to America alot with my family, my sister and my mom. In and out, I’ve literally been traveling most of my life. Nigeria’s home for me. I don’t make the type of music they make there, but I still consider it as home for me because that’s where I’m from. That’s where most of my fans are, that’s where my people are from.
AllHipHop: When did you fall in love with music?
PsychoYP: From a very young age because my mom always had music playing. My sister always had music playing. People around me always had music playing, and so I just fell in love with it that way.
AllHipHop: Any artists that influence you the most? Whether it’s US or Nigeria?
PsychoYP: I grew up listening to Young Money. I’ll always say that because I’m a huge fan of the whole Young Money. That’s literally all I was listening to growing up, as well as the classic that my mum used to play and everything.
AllHipHop: When did you realize you could do music for a living? Was there a turning point?
PsychoYP: I think when I put out my first body of work, people actually had positive reviews about it. It was just something I was doing for myself, but then hearing some of their reviews, I said “yeah, I just might be able to hack this.”
AllHipHop: How’d you get your name, PsychoYP?
PsychoYP: YP means young papi. I used to say it as an intro before, but then people didn’t know what I was saying. [laughs] It means young papi, I got the name a long time ago from some friends in school. Psycho came from that whole school era, it’s a long ass story. It’s from some friends in school.
AllHipHop: You just dropped “Midlife Crisis” and “WYDTM.” How are you feeling?
PsychoYP: I feel great, I feel very good. These are songs I’ve had for over a year. Finally being able to put them out, I’m so happy. Big up to Azanti for being on the second one, and the producer as well. This is the thing, I recorded these two songs, produced by my friend SCXTT in Sweden. It was meant to be a whole me and SCXTT collaborating, whatever. 2 or 3 days before the song dropped, SCXTT said he produced it with someone else. [laughs] There’s someone else who helped him produce it, crazy. Off of these two songs, We’ve done a whole project, there’s a whole project with me and him. We’ve been working together for years, and to be able to sit down and put this project together, put these songs together and watch ourselves grow from where we started to now is just crazy. That’s what these songs really mean to me.
AllHipHop: Why was now the right time to release?
PsychoYP: Because there were a lot of factors at play and other things we’ve been trying to put in place. I had to put my whole Euphoria project on pause to put out YP & Azanti Vol. 1, so that stretched things out. There are a lot of drops that were meant to happen last year that are just going to come out now.
AllHipHop: Was there a certain female that inspired “Midlife Crisis”?
PsychoYP: I recorded it in Nigeria, SCXTT sent me the beat. I was listening like “yo, damn. Okay, I have to tell a story on this. I have to go ‘King Von’ on this.” I don’t write my stuff, I just sit down and record. It was really more putting the story together in my head as I’m going along with recording this song, hearing the beat, and putting everything together. I literally go into that mode. After 20 minutes, it was done. Literally. [laughs] And I was like “Let’s keep this one for the safe”. This song was straight out of my head.
AllHipHop: What about “WYDTM”?
PsychoYP: SCXTT sent this beat, he’s like “yo, this is not your sound but this will slap, it goes hard for UK summer type of vibe.” I didn’t record on it for a week or so. When I eventually recorded on it, I just ran through it. I sent it to the group chat with Azanti there as well. I can’t remember exactly if Azanti responded immediately or he waited a bit, but he surprised me with his verse, because we have so many songs together, it’s either one of those two ways we work [laughs] This song I wanted to make for feel-good vibes, because you need feel-good vibes. I listen to my own music a lot. I don’t think I have a lot of feel-good vibe songs, so doing this one definitely was a good vibe.
AllHipHop: You said you were inspired by the Craig David era. What was his influence on you?
PsychoYP: In Nigeria, he was everywhere. He was big. It wasn’t me listening to him personally. It was people around me like my mom, my aunts and the women around me. There were a lot of artists that came out of that era that I also used to listen to. That era was an era that stuck with me for a while.
AllHipHop: What is it you want fans to get from your story?
PsychoYP: This is the beginning of my story. My story is just starting now and it’s with all my people. This is the moment for everyone to just sit down and say, “yo this is where this guy’s career is starting from”. Everything before here was good and fine, but right now is the most important part of my career and I really just want to lock in and be true.
AllHipHop: One thing you want fans to get from Euphoria?
PsychoYP: If Euphoria doesn’t get the best Hip Hop album at the Headies, it’s rigged. [laughs] Come on, it’s the best rap album out. I don’t know who else dropped a rap album out of Nigeria, off my head, but I can tell you for a fact that’s what I’m going for. I told everyone “I’m literally putting out the rap project of the year, everyone watch out for it.” If you sit down and listen to it, I don’t think you’ll say otherwise.
AllHipHop: Why’d you name it Euphoria?
PsychoYP: Because it’s a project that I compiled and started putting together at a time where that’s what I felt, I was in a state of euphoria because of certain things. You could tell from the cover art that there’s something you’re trying to tell and get out of your head. That’s what it was for me: I was in a very euphoric state in that whole period of 3 to 4 months of compiling it.

AllHipHop: How did it feel to graduate from the University of Manchester?
PsychoYP: Man! That finally felt great because I graduated two years ago, but that’s when Covid hit so we couldn’t do a graduation. They emailed us and said they’re going to be doing the ceremony now. I came out for it. My whole family came through too, so that was really nice because they were waiting for it.
AllHipHop: What did you study?
PsychoYP: I studied planning and real estate.
AllHipHop: Are you going to be a real estate agent too?
PsychoYP: Maybe. [laughs]
AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio at all times?
PsychoYP: I need my drink, I need my charger, and I need my phone. A little alcohol, Magnum. Nothing serious.

AllHipHop: Talk about collaborating with Yung6ix on “I Can’t Sleep.”
PsychoYP: Yung6ix, we were trying to get a record in for a while. This is one that immediately when he sent it, I’m like “yo, this is the one.” I even still took time to record it. When I’m in Nigeria, I’m always going between Abuja and Lagos and I don’t really have time to sit and record, but immediately I actually sat down to record the verse, I sent it back and I’m like “bro, let’s get it out.” 6ix was like “Yes let’s drop it, no worries.” A week later, he sent the cover art, and a couple days after, he dropped it. He’s trying to do a video as well, so hopefully we can get that done.
AllHipHop: What do you like to do for fun when you’re not doing music?
PsychoYP: Netflix or Fifa.
AllHipHop: What shows do you like?
PsychoYP: I watch anything nice. I feel like I’ve watched everything [laughs] I’m just out there looking for new stuff to watch, and continuing the random old stuff. But these days, I don’t even have time to watch Netflix because I’m traveling and stuff.
AllHipHop: Any goals for yourself at this point in your career?
PsychoYP: Yeah, definitely. We’re trying to get a couple million streams on a couple of songs. I mean, if you don’t aspire to get a million streams each on like ten of your songs, then you’re not really thinking big. I want to take a look at my catalog and see that I’m doing a million streams on everything. That’s my goal right now, to get big numbers. Big big numbers.
Lizzo flaunted her curvaceous derriere while teasing her fans with new music.
The Grammy Award-winning singer is as proud of her body as she is of her music, showing off the former while teasing the latter as she hopped on a private jet wearing a black thong. She also wore a revealing black two-piece from her Yitty shapewear line.
Lizzo climbed out of the back of a luxury SUV, sashaying in matching black pumps to board the PJ in a video she shared on her socials.
She revealed her new offering will arrive on Friday, April 14, calling it “Song of the Summer.” She also teased the song’s rumored title while simultaneously voicing the opinion of her fans. “It’s about damn time,” she added.
Lizzo hasn’t dropped a single since “Rumors” last summer, featuring Cardi B. However, Lizzo has remained busy launching her new Amazon Prime reality series, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls. She’s also been working on her Yitty shapewear line, which comes out today, April 12.
The “Truth Hurts” singer has spent the past week on Instagram, modeling designs from her Yitty closet ahead of the brand’s release.
“I’m sick of people telling me how I’m supposed to look and feel about my body,” Lizzo wrote. “I’m tired of discomfort being synonymous with sexy. If it’s uncomfortable TAKE IT OFF. And if it makes you feel good PUT IT ON.” She added, “It’s your chance to reclaim your body and redefine your beauty standard. I love y’all.”
During a recent interview, Lizzo addressed her body positivity movement and using her confidence to alter beauty standards.
“I think I have a really hot body!” Lizzo said. “I’m a body icon, and I’m embracing that more and more every day. It may not be one person’s ideal body type just like, say, Kim Kardashian might not be someone’s ideal, but she’s a body icon and has created a modern-day beauty standard.”
She added, “And what I’m doing is stepping into my confidence and my power to create my own beauty standard. And one day that will just be the standard.”
