Megan Thee Stallion Posts Tory Lanez Apology Texts Amid Shooting Case

Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez argued on social media after DJ Akademiks posted a false story about an assault case involving the rappers.

The two clashed online while Tory Lanez awaits trial for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. Rumors about the case emerged online prior to a pre-trial hearing, which was scheduled for Wednesday (February 23) but postponed to April 5.

Megan Thee Stallion called out the spread of misinformation in a series of Instagram Stories posts. Tory Lanez reacted to her comments via Twitter.

“u can’t buy and tweet your way out of this one ..not today,” he wrote.

Megan Thee Stallion responded by posting texts he sent to her. The messages showed him apologizing to her following their alleged altercation in 2020.

“Lie yo way out of this,” she wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “if you aint do s### what you was apologizing for? THE LAWYERS GOT YO PHNE RECORDS AND MINE. ALL YOUR TXT. THEY GOT YOU RECORDED ON THE JAIL PHONE TALKING TO KELSEY APOLOGIZING BEGGING US NOT TO TALK.”

Tory Lanez claimed the apology had nothing to do with him shooting her. He accused her of spinning his texts.

“Good D*ick had me f###### 2 best friends,” he wrote. “and I got caught … that’s what I apologized 4 . … it’s sick how u Spun it tho …”

Megan Thee Stallion blasted Tory Lanez in a response on Instagram Stories. She criticized him for refusing to admit he shot her.

“F###### two best friends…n#### you SHOT ME YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WERE APOLOGIZING FOR,” she wrote. “YOU KEEP PUTTING A NARRATIVE OUT THAT ME AND MY FRIEND FELL OUT ABT YOU AND THATS NOT TRUE! WHY ARE YOU SKIPPING OVER THE SHOOTING JUST ADMIT YOU SHOT ME! BC SHE DEFINITELY AINT DO IT AND I AINT SHOOT MY DAMN SELF.”

She added, “YOU THINK ITS OKAY TO SHOOT ME THEN HARASS ME ONLINE AND MAKE IT LIKE THIS WAS SOME WEIRD CAT FIGHT. WHAT THE ACTUAL F### IS WRONG WITH YOU.”

Megan Thee Stallion’s boyfriend Pardison Fontaine also chimed in via Twitter. He sought to settle things with Tory Lanez in person.

“@torylanez put the phone dwn let’s link .. you n me .. ain’t nothin to talk about,” he wrote. “@torylanez don’t tweet nothin else .. SEE ME ..”

Tory Lanez fired back, “…. @pardi we’ve had this encounter … u did nothing put ya phone down big fella ….”

Kodak Black – “I Wish”

W.E.B. Du Bois – The Soul Of Black Folks

W.E.B. Du Bois was one of the leading minds who fought ardently for the freedom of black people in the 19th and 20th centuries. Read more about the legendary leader!

William Edward Burghardt Du Bois aka W. E. B. Du Bois may have been the most significant leader for African-Americans and their long fight for freedom.

W. E. B. Du Bois was born in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, on February 23rd, 1868, while he grew up in an integrated community.

His time at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, had opened his eyes to racism in its ugliest forms. At the time, the South was rife with racism, including lynching and Jim Crow Laws.

After traveling throughout Europe as a student, W. E. B. Du Bois returned to complete his Ph.D. at Harvard in 1895, making him the first African American to earn a Ph.D. from the prestigious Ivy League school.

After traveling throughout Europe and staying in Germany for several years, he returned to the United States and accepted a role as a professor at Atlanta University in Georgia.

Du Bois published several academic works focusing on the study of African Americans and many other social science papers, including the groundbreaking study “The Philadelphia Negro” in 1899.

Having established himself as one of the foremost spokespeople for his race, Du Bois had addressed many events worldwide and coined the term “The Talented Tenth. The concept was that one in ten Black men had been educated at college and, therefore, were in positions to become leaders for the Black community’s fight for freedom.

W. E. B. Du Bois’ inspiration for activism was initially stirred by another spokesperson: Booker T. Washington, who created the concept called Atlanta Compromise during a speech. But the two men disagreed on the philosophy.

The Atlanta Compromise referred to Washington’s idea that Southern blacks would live segregated from whites as long whites in the South guaranteed educational and economic opportunities.

Having felt that African Americans needed to fight for equal rights rather than submitting to segregation, the lynching of Sam Hose in 1899 solidified in his mind that it was time to act on the truth.

This urge to fight for full rights led Du Bois to become a founder of the legendary Niagra Movement in 1905. In 1909, he became one of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) founders.

After creating the NAACP, W. E. B. Du Bois became the Director of Publicity and Research for the organization, where he edited the monthly magazine known as The Crisis. Using The Crisis as a stimulus for change, he aimed to highlight the arguments showing the danger of racial prejudice, leading the magazine to become successful.

Using his position in the NAACP, Du Bois opposed several racist incidents, including the lynching of Jesse Washington. The Crisis broke new ground by using undercover reporting.

Throughout his life, W. E. B. Du Bois had fought hard for equal rights and ingratiated himself with a number of movements, including socialism.

Upon being invited to Ghana to start work on the Encyclopedia Africana, W. E. B. Du Bois died in Accra on August 27th, 1963.

The next day at the March on Washington, he was honored with a moment of silence, and in 1964 the Civil Rights Act, which embodied many of the reforms he had campaigned for, was enacted.

W. E. B. Du Bois was one of the first spokespeople for Civil Rights.

He has an extraordinary place in Black History. His tireless campaigning laid the foundations for the Civil Rights movement for African-Americans in the 20th century.

Megan Thee Stallion Takes New Beef With 1501 Certified And Carl Crawford To Court

Megan Thee Stallion is suing her record label, alleging they are refusing to allow her to fulfill her contract commitments.

The “Hot Girl Summer” musician is taking legal action against 1501 Certified Entertainment, seeking a ruling that her 2021 release Something for Thee Hotties compilation meets the legal definition of an “album,” according to documents seen by Pitchfork.

The collection of singles and B-sides contained original production, but in her suit, Megan claims 1501 chiefs said it did not meet the definition of an “album” under their recording agreement and, therefore, did not satisfy her contract’s “Minimum Recording Commitment” clause.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLihZnosaGo&list=PLEMjtUtKjYoTxkktateOv5R_UmIFKYuGP

Megan is claiming that the only parameter defining an album under the terms of the contract is its runtime, which must be at least 45 minutes, a stipulation Something for Thee Hotties meets.

Megan wants a non-monetary declaratory judgment that the record can be defined as an album, as well as legal costs.

Seemingly addressing the legal action on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Megan wrote, “This mf got my accomplishments in that bio and aint contributed to s### SINCE 2018… NOT STUDIO TIME, NOT A MUSIC VIDEO NOT A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT, s### not even a flight !!! But you trying to eat off me AND PICK WITH ME ONLINE.”

The dispute is not the first beef she has had with her label – back in March 2020, she complained on Instagram Live that 1501 would not let her release new music.

She also insisted she did not understand the terms of her contract when she initially signed it and wanted a renegotiation. The hip-hop star then sued the label, seeking to terminate her contract. A judge granted a temporary restraining order to allow her to release her “Suga” EP just four days later.

In August 2021, she sued them again over a remix of BTS’ track “Butter,” which she featured.

The court subsequently found that 1501 had “recently engaged and will continue to engage in conduct preventing the release of new music.”

Lil Durk – “AHHH HA” (NBA YoungBoy Diss)

It’s been a crazy 24 hours on the internet with Lil Durk delivering his NBA YoungBoy diss and visa versa. Filmed in an apartment shielded from the cold winters of Chicago, Durk posts up with his Chicago goons and takes aim at his Baton Rouge counterparts. The beef runs deep with NBA and Durk after King Von’s murder, but there’s women and money that also add to the friction. Lets see how this one plays out – hopefully with a truce.

NBA YoungBoy – “I Hate YoungBoy” (Lil Durk Diss)

NBA YoungBoy takes aim at Lil Durk and has a few stray shots for Gucci, Lil Baby and Boosie to name a few. No telling where this beef ends, but it started with women and eclipsed with King Von’s murder allegedly at the hands of Quando Rondo’s homies. Either way the this song is going all the way up and getting widespread attention via NBA’s Youtube page.

Kanye West Threatens Pete Davidson Again; Warns “SNL” Star Does Not Have Enough Security

Kanye West played part of his estranged wife Kim Kardashian’s Saturday Night Live monologue during his Donda 2 concert on Tuesday.

The rapper hosted the “Donda Experience Performance” at LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida, on Tuesday, the same day Donda 2 was due to be released exclusively on his Stem Player device.

Ahead of his performance of the track Sci-Fi, a portion of Kim’s monologue, which she gave in October, was broadcast throughout the park.

“I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he is the richest Black man in America. A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids,” she could be heard saying.

The recording stopped before her next sentence, in which she said, “So when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5JbDih933Q

Kanye, who has made numerous attempts to win the reality star back, also took a swipe at her new boyfriend Pete Davidson on his track “Security,” in which he rapped, “Never stand between a man and his kids/ Y’all ain’t got enough security for this.”

Kim, who filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021, recently expressed her concern for Pete’s safety after Kanye blasted him on social media. Kanye responded by urging his fans not to do anything to the comedian.

During the event, a replica of Kanye’s childhood home burned at the center of the stage.

Similar to his earlier “Donda” event, he was controversially joined onstage by Marilyn Manson, who has been accused of sexual assault. Guest performers also included Alicia Keys, DaBaby, Jack Harlow, Playboy Carti, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, and Migos.

The show also revealed that late rapper XXXTentacion’s vocals appear on two tracks – “Selfish” and “True Love.” XXXTentacion died in 2018.

Donda 2 was supposed to be released on Tuesday, but it has yet to appear on the Stem Player, according to social media.

Kodak Black Allegedly Shot For Disrespecting Nipsey Hussle!

The ongoing antics of Lil Black are becoming legendary. However, sometimes his actions prove to be too polarizing. So, was Kodak Black allegedly shot for disrespecting Nipsey Hussle? Well, according to Wack 100, the music industry veteran, offers an affirmative response.

Recently (on Feb. 11), while in Los Angeles, the Super Gremlin sustains a gunshot wound to the leg. Nonetheless, Mr. Project Baby is in the midst of a speedy recovery. However, just how and why was he shot?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4Tfr5-VE7c

So, to begin with, the music manager contends Black’s injury is retribution for disrespecting Nip. In recent past, a circulating Clubhouse convo shares Wack’s candid perspective. “On some clout chasing s###,” adamantly insists Wack, “Talking about, ‘What’s that s### you said about Lauren London? Get the f### out of here!’ But Kodak got off!”

The Infamous IG Post

For example, to Hip-Hop and to his family, the murder of Nipsey Hussle is still a perplexing and a deafening blow. By the same token, some flippant comments from the “Tunnel Vision” lyricist, still has some purportedly contemplating a reprisal. In fact, the now infamous Instagram post comes with resounding ramifications.

Above all, during an Instagram live broadcast, the “No Flockin'” rapper makes these rude comments. While referencing, Lauren London, he asserts, “She finna be out here single!” Moreover, he mentions, “She finna be a whole widow out here. I’ll be the best man I could be for her. I’ll give her a whole year, she might need a whole year to be crying and s### for dude.”

As a matter of fact, over an entire year passes by before the Rap star offers an apology. Most notably, an array of individuals readily address the contemptuous commentary. With this in mind, does Los Angeles wake up and choose violence?

On the whole, as a man and as a musician, Kodak Black continues to evolve. Hopefully, as time progresses he will grow into a better version of himself.

Jason Lee: ‘Hollywood Unlocked’ Has Not Retracted Queen Elizabeth Death Story

Hollywood Unlocked and its founder Jason Lee made international headlines on Tuesday. The celebrity news outlet reported that 95-year-old Queen Elizabeth II was dead.

“Sources close to the Royal Palace notified us exclusively that #QueenElizabeth has passed away. She was scheduled to attend the wedding of British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, but was found dead. Story developing. 🙏🏾❤️,” read a caption on the @hollywoodunlocked Instagram page.

While the British Royal Family did not confirm Queen Elizabeth’s passing, Hollywood Unlocked continued to publish about her alleged death. A second Instagram post claimed there are “carefully constructed plans [titled ‘Operation London Bridge’] that have already been put in place for this moment.”

As other publications and social media users expressed skepticism about Hollywood Unlocked‘s report, Jason Lee backed up his blog. On Tuesday afternoon, Lee tweeted, “We don’t post lies and I always stand by my sources. Waiting for an official statement from the palace.”

Lee also uploaded an iPhone note about the backlash over Hollywood Unlocked‘s Queen Elizabeth report to his personal Instagram account. The former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood cast member stated that he has “never been wrong” and he trusts his sources.

Today, the unverified Twitter account @HollywoodUL issued an apology on behalf of Hollywood Unlocked, blaming an “intern journalist” for the mistake. That tweet thread has since been deleted. Jason Lee addressed the @HollywoodUL posts on his own verified Twitter account.

“Woke up to some fake account posting a retraction. We do not know that account and we have not retracted our story. There has yet to be an official statement from the Palace. Staying tuned,” wrote Jason Lee on Wednesday morning.

As of press time, there has not been official confirmation about Queen Elizabeth II allegedly dying this week. Buckingham Palace did confirm the Queen canceled planned engagements after testing positive for COVID-19.

Vince Staples Declares No Rapper Is Bigger Than Snoop Dogg

Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus Jr. has been a pop culture icon for four decades. From music to television to movies to video games to social media, the Long Beach native continues to keep the public entertained.

With over 35 million albums sold worldwide, Snoop Dogg is an international superstar. Fellow Long Beach-raised rhymer Vince Staples believes the D-O-DOUBLE-G is undeniably the most famous rap star of all time.

Vince Staples spoke with Ebro Darden for the Black History Month episode of Apple Music’s The Message. The conversation included Staples sharing his thoughts on the Doggystyle album creator.

“Snoop Dogg has always been the biggest rapper, as far as brand and namesake, to me at least. You can argue, people are equal, but you can’t argue nobody’s bigger than Snoop Dogg,” said Staples. “He got the Martha Stewart show cracking right now, and nobody’s saying ‘who is that?’ when they’re watching the show.”

Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party premiered on VH1 in 2016. In addition, Snoop Dogg served as a judge on season one of TBS’s Go-Big Show. He also starred on reality-based TV shows such as Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood and Coach Snoop.

As a recording artist, Snoop Dogg released the classic album, Doggystyle, which hosts the hit singles “What’s My Name?” and “Gin and Juice.” The 4x-Platinum Doggystyle re-entered the Billboard 200 chart this week at #142 following Snoop’s Super Bowl LV Halftime Show performance.

The Snoop Dogg discography also includes the multi-Platinum Tha Doggfather and Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told as well as the Platinum-certified No Limit Top Dogg, Tha Last Meal, Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Boss, and R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta.

Snoop Dogg recently released BODR (Bacc On Death Row) on February 11 through Death Row Records. That 18-track project features Nas, T.I., Nate Dogg, The Game, DaBaby, Uncle Murda, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Duval, and more.

Vince Staples is preparing to let loose his fourth studio LP, Ramona Park Broke My Heart, in the near future. The Mustard-produced “Magic” single arrived on Valentine’s Day. “Magic” has already amassed more than 1.4 million streams on Spotify.

Young Dolph Alleged Murderer Has Direct Blac Youngsta Ties?

Back on November 17, Young Dolph, sustains multiple gun shot wounds. Eventually, on that same day, the King of Memphis passes away. Unfortunately, his wounds prove fatal. Currently, for his untimely murder, two men are under arrest and being charged. So, which one of Young Dolph’s alleged murder suspect’s has direct ties to Blac Youngsta?

The Offense

In fact, between both Paper Route Frank and Blac Youngsta there are multiple instances of acrimony. Furthermore, Blac Youngsta’s Heavy Camp artist — Lil Migo, also known as Adrious Smith — is allegedly related to Cornelius Smith. Of course, Mr. Smith’s name may sound familiar.

For one thing, in relation to the shooting death of Dolph Gabbana, he faces the charges of Murder I. However, under the direction of an esteemed criminal defense attorney he pleads not guilty. So, things are quickly growing more curious.

Previously, Smith was unable to retain counsel. Nonetheless, that is no longer an issue. Whereas, currently, he is being represented by the acclaimed Michael E. Scholl, this according to BET. Of course, this power move requires both great access and solid financial backing. So, just now is this individual — who allegedly is trying to silence the “Major” MC’s legacy — able to afford such expensive representaton?

As of late, Lil Migo has yet to earn platinum recording status. So, someone contact Sway. Then, please ask him how Cornelius Smith is able to retain Scholl’s services. Moreover, Justin Johnson — the other man being charged with Flippa’s murder — is receiving the counsel of a court appointed public pretender defender.

In other words, the historic feud between Mr. “1 Scale” and Blac Youngsta naturally arouses suspicion. Indeed, the culmination of these actions creates conjecture. Again, the Heavy Camp jefe notoriously gains the spotlight. Check out the diligent breakdowns that Poetik Flakko and King Ak Fortyseven offer.

The Response

TThrough his children and through his artistry, the legacy of Young Dolph will continue to be realized. Thoughts?

Slim Jxmmi’s Battery Case Dropped After Girlfriend Recants Allegations

Last month, Miami-Dade County cops arrested Aaquil “Slim Jxmmi” Brown for alleged domestic violence. The case is now dropped.

TMZ reports the alleged victim recanted her allegations against Slim Jxmmi. Prosecutors apparently determined because the Rae Sremmurd member’s girlfriend chose not to cooperate there was “credibility concern.”

Authorities charged Slim Jxmmi with one count of battery. Kiara, the mother of his child, told police Jxmmi left their home after she confronted him about another woman he was following on Instagram but he later returned smelling like alcohol.

Kiara reportedly recorded the incident with her cell phone. She also claimed the “Black Beatles” hitmaker pulled out her hair extensions, kicked down a door, and threw her phone off the balcony.

Slim Jxmmi got out of jail on a $2,500 bond. At first, he had to wear a GPS device but the monitoring apparatus was removed after his bond was raised to $20,000.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CXPJkG8tTAH/

Not long after the news of Jxmmi’s arrest broke, Kiara denied he assaulted her. She even blasted Miami-Dade County law enforcement officials for supposedly exaggerating the situation.

“Oh wow. This is cap. Dade County y’all are wrong for this. I told you guys he did not hit me. Every officer you guys had in my face are wrong for this. No hands were put on anybody, I stated it more than once. It was a loud argument and the police were called. You guys turn nothing into something. It’s our [son’s] first birthday tomorrow, what’s wrong with y’all?” Kiara posted on her @anythingforkee Instagram.

This was not the first alleged incident of domestic violence involving Slim Jxmmi and Kiara. Reports in September 2020 claimed Jxmmi punched Kee in the face while she was nearly six months pregnant with their child.

At the time, sources told The Shade Room physical abuse was a regular part of their relationship. Kiara was described as Slim Jxmmi’s “punching bag.” Those allegations have not been confirmed.

The show paid homage to modern British African changemakers, which was important for Ozwald Boateng to highlight. The first Black tailor to set up shop on Savile Row spoke to the Evening Standard about the progression in the industry.

“I did my first catwalk show in 1994, but I’ve been designing since the early Eighties, and the transformation is interesting,” Boateng said. “When I grew up in the Eighties, being black was not easy. You know, I’d get chased down the street.”

However, he says things have changed since then. “There are more people of color in the industry now then I have ever known before. I was always the only Black person in the room, for decades, and I’ve been to I don’t know how many events — like the Fashion Awards. Now it’s a wholly different experience. It’s actually quite mind boggling for me, and also exciting and great to see how the business has shifted and changed.”

Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode” & Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” Return To The Top 40 Following Super Bowl LVI

Both Dr. Dre and Eminem experienced huge chart jumps thanks to their headlining performances at the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. That February 13 showcase caused fans to revisit the two rappers’ music catalog.

Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode” featuring Snoop Dogg off the 2001 album returned to Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart this week. The collaboration from 1999 climbed back to #37 on the latest rankings.

Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” soared to #40 on the most recent Hot 100. The Academy Award-winning single originally arrived on 2002’s 8 Mile: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture.

“The Next Episode” peaked at #23 on the Hot 100 in July 2000. “Lose Yourself” spent twelve weeks at #1 in 2002 and 2003. It also won Grammy Awards for Best Male Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Song.

Wendy Williams Denies Authorizing Her Rep To Speak On Talk Show Ending

Wendy Williams has spoken out to deny she authorized anyone to speak on her behalf regarding the ending of her talk show.

The Wendy Williams Show distributor Debmar-Mercury confirmed on Tuesday (Feb. 22) that the show will come to an end after 14 seasons. Sherri Shepherd, one of the show’s guest hosts during Wendy’s absence, will debut her new show, “Sherri” in the fall.

However, Wendy Williams denies giving her rep, Howard Bergman, permission to speak on her behalf.

Wendy Williams Speaks

“Mr. Bragman although I appreciate your concerns and respect you immensely,” she began via her new Instagram page. “I have not authorized you to make any statements on my behalf regarding my current status with Debmar Mercury. Again thanks for your continuing concern and support.”

Bergman has now issued a statement of his own, questioning whether Wendy Williams actually wrote the Instagram message.

“I’m not honestly convinced of the source of that social media post,” Bergman told PEOPLE. “So when my old friend Wendy FaceTimes me personally and we alone have a chance to discuss recent events, together we can figure out the best path forward.”

Wendy was objecting to Bergman’s prior statement to PEOPLE, given earlier on Tuesday.

“It’s been a challenging time for Wendy as she deals with her health issues. She is incredibly grateful to Debmar-Mercury, to Sherri and everybody else who has supported the show through this time,” Bragman said in Tuesday’s statement. He also said Wendy understands “you can’t go to the marketplace and sell a show that’s the ‘Maybe Wendy Show.’”

Bergman also confirmed Debmar-Mercury “assured” Wendy Williams that “she would be back on TV,” if she returns to good health.

Meanwhile, during Tuesday’s episode of The Wendy Williams Show, Sherri Shepherd paid tribute to the original host as she announced her new venture.

NBA YoungBoy & Lil Durk Appear To Trade Shots On New Songs

NBA YoungBoy and Lil Durk are continuing their ongoing feud, firing shots at each other on their new songs.

First, Lil Durk dropped “AHHH HA,” on Tuesday and appeared to aim some bars at Youngboy and his ex-girlfriend.

“N##### actin’ like they really like that since my brodie died (Von) / Just got out the feds, you bring up murders with your police ass,” raps Durk. This could refer to NBA YoungBoy, who was released from prison in October.

It is also speculated that the line, “I told Von to leave that b#### alone, she post on OnlyFans,” is a shot at Jania Meshell, YoungBoy’s ex-girlfriend, who was romantically tied to King Von.

Later on Tuesday, NBA YoungBoy responded with a diss song of his own. He released “I Hate Youngboy,” which includes bars aimed at Durk, his fiancée India, Gucci Mane, King Von, and other artists and industry players.

NBA YoungBoy name-drops King Von’s alleged murderer Quando Rondo and Lil Durk’s fiancée, India. He also raps about O Bock in Southside Chicago.

‘Quando got no filter, and he say that, they gon’ f### with ‘em/ Clean up on aisle O, youngin let that chop blow/ Ayy, my brother let that stick blow, n#### know that’s my smoke/ He called me a b####, that’s India, that be your ho,” Youngboy raps at the beginning of the song, name-dropping King Von’s alleged murderer Quando Rondo, O block in Southside Chicago, and Durk’s fiancée, India.

“Used to f### with Gucci ‘til I seen he like them p#### n#####,” is directed at Gucci Mane, and the ending of the song see YoungBoy aim for a variety of people and brands.

“Feel like Boosie don’t even like me, b####, don’t call my phone (F### you)/ Tell Apple I said, “F### ‘em,” they promote his song (Say, ten, f### you)/They be hatin’ on Tim and Quando, they act like they wrong (F### you)/ YouTube streamers, they be dick-ridin’, don’t react no more (F### you)/ You f### with them, don’t f### with me and that’s just how that go,” YoungBoy raps to close out the song.

Kanye West Throws Microphone & DONDA 2 Sound Team Roasted After Listening Event

Kanye West’s DONDA 2 listening event went down in Miami on Tuesday night (Feb. 22), with a few issues Ye could have done without.

Ye was joined by a host of performers to deliver the DONDA 2 Experience at LoanDepot park in Miami. However, not everything went off without a hitch.

The stage was set, and the visuals looked spectacular. Kanye and his performers rocked a set with the now-familiar house at the center and the new addition of a flooded stage. The first half of the DONDA 2 show seemed to go according to plan, but the second was another story. The audio issues affecting the latter half of the show were so bad, Kanye threw his mic away at one point!

Like other Kanye West listening events, Ye did not perform on all the songs. Instead, he danced around the stage as a backing track delivered the verses. When Ye performed “Hurricane,” from the first DONDA project, he picked up a mic and began rapping along to his verse. However, for some reason, he kept losing his place on the track. While some suggested a problem with Kanye’s in-ear monitor, others said he simply forgot the lyrics.

During his performance of “Jail” with Marilyn Manson and DaBaby, the issues got so bad, Ye threw away his microphone in frustration. He then spent the remainder of the DONDA 2 show mic-less.

Sound problems also arose during “City of Gods,” with Fivio Foreign and Alicia Keys struggling to stay in sync with the backing track.
