Bussin Essen 3 Facts to Prove the Blissful Impact of Music on Our Lives

What is the one thing you would find most difficult to give up? Music is a sure answer for many since it’s a form of expression and communication that transcends space and time. Whether you favor classical music, modern upbeat tunes, or folk music, everyone can agree that music binds humans together, no matter where they are in the world.

According to Bussin Essen, music is the ultimate nirvana. Listening to music brings a state of bliss that you can’t explain in words. One gets to feel understood, consoled, and even inspired through this art form. The healing power of music makes life better, and here’s the proof detailed by Bussin Essen, an avid lover and explorer of music.

  • Music reduces stress

It happens quite naturally that many of us gravitate towards music when feeling down. “Listening to relaxing music says Bussin Essen, “helps calm your mind and soothe away exhaustion and pressure.” Bussin Essen also says that extensive research has found slow, quiet, and deep music to have a soothing effect on the mind. Classical music tops the list in this regard, but so many other genres fit in too. It is also worth noting that some people prefer fast-paced music or even loud instrumental music when stressed. This helps distract their thoughts from their source of stress.

  • Music improves your memory

Besides stimulating the brain, music also helps develop multiple parts of your brain. Bussin Essen says, “Music is incredibly instrumental in helping you jog your memory. Playing a musical instrument, for instance, can help you improve the power of your mind.” The way Bussin Essen puts it is that you get to experience two blissful benefits through one art form.

Bussin Essen further says that music also helps you recollect and revisit certain moments in your life. “It induces nostalgia and longing, helps preserve memories, and brings back emotions you felt during a certain song.”

  • Music increases physical endurance

Living in a fast-paced world, with the internet and digital platforms highlighting fitness goals and the like, everyone is in a frenzied dash to achieve their dream body. The number of people who are health conscious has also increased today, thanks to social media. And people who work out certainly know the power of music. Many fitness enthusiasts and experts have noted that they perform better while listening to music. Bussin Essen has also found studies that show music helps increase endurance by up to 15%.

Though musical preferences may vary widely from one person to the next, one gets to choose music according to their mood and create a state of nirvana for themselves. “No matter what musical genre you love, no one can deny the blissful effect of music on our lives,” concludes Bussin Essen.

Yo Gotti Reveals 50 Cent Convinced Him To Change Cocaine Muzik Group Name

50 Cent played a key role in Yo Gotti’s decision to alter his Cocaine Muzik Group’s name to Collective Music Group.

Yo Gotti discussed why he changed the label’s name in an interview with Billboard. The CMG founder said a chat with 50 Cent made him reconsider the original moniker.

“I was having a [phone] conversation with 50 Cent, and he was like, ‘Yo, you’re winning, but you can’t be Cocaine Muzik Group — that’s too harsh,” Yo Gotti recalled. “They’re going to be scared of that.’ [I] thought about it like, ‘Damn, he’s right. What else does CMG mean?’ He put it in my head to start thinking in that direction.”

He eventually settled on Collective Music Group, which became the home of Moneybagg Yo and EST Gee. CMG also signed 42 Dugg as part of a joint deal with Lil Baby’s 4PF imprint.

Earlier this year, Yo Gotti bolstered the CMG roster by signing Sacramento’s Mozzy. The Memphis native expanded outside of Hip Hop too, adding R&B singer Lehla Samia to the label a few months later.

Yo Gotti’s CMG signed a partnership with Interscope Records in 2021. The deal landed him back at a major label after leaving Epic Records in 2020.

Dave Chappelle Attacker Charged With Attempted Murder In Separate Incident

Isaiah Lee, the man who attacked Dave Chappelle at the Hollywood Bowl, has been accused of stabbing a roommate.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced an attempted murder charge against Lee on Thursday (May 19). Lee avoided felony charges for attacking Dave Chappelle, but the highly publicized incident exposed his alleged role in another crime.

“The publicity generated by the attack on Mr. Chappelle helped police solve this crime,” Gascón said in a press release. “The incident that occurred at the Hollywood Bowl was misdemeanor conduct and rightfully referred to the City Attorney’s Office. Based on the nature and severity of the December attack, Mr. Lee is now facing felony charges which my office will prosecute.”

Lee allegedly stabbed his roommate on December 2, 2021. The victim previously reported the incident to police but recently identified Lee as the assailant in light of media coverage of the Dave Chappelle attack.

The 23-year-old suspect pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder charge filed against him on Thursday. He’s scheduled to return to court on June 2.

Earlier this month, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office charged Lee with multiple misdemeanors for attacking Dave Chappelle. He also pleaded not guilty to battery, possession of a weapon with intent to assault, unauthorized access to the stage area during a performance and commission of an act that delays the event or interferes with the performer.

Man Who Defaced Nipsey’s Mural Gets A Lotta Jail Time

Around my way, we don’t wish jail time on nobody, but we definitely do not condone certain actions. You may remember that the dude  Indian Red Boy was murdered on IG live in his car. There was speculation that he was killed because he was affiliated with another dude, Baby Capone (Kapone), who was widely known as the guy that defaced a Nipsey Hussle mural. Indian Red Boy was hit up and now Kap is in jail.

Why is he is in jail?

That is up for debate. Some say it is related to the mural and his role in defacing it, but the alleged 12 year sentence seems to be a bit stiff. You never know. If they throw the book at him, it is in the multiverse of possibilities. For some reason, I suspect he is likely in the bing for something else. Dude is a card carrying Blood. As you know, Nip was a Crip.

OAN: the trial of Sh!tty Cuz is coming up. Can you believe, It has been three years since King Nip was murdered in cold blood? Click here for the link to read up on the latest with The Slauson Boy.

Our community has some serious work to do.

Legendary Houston Rapper Scarface Announces Farewell Tour

All-time Hip-Hop great and Houston rapper Scarface has announced his final tour, which will precede his purported retirement from rap.

After a life-threatening battle with COVID-19 in 2020, Scarface subsequently suffered through a year of dialysis until he underwent a well-publicized kidney transplant.

But although Scarface has been recovering well, it has been a taxing few years.

In addition, as AllHipHop reported in November of 2021, Scarface has his eyes set on other genres of music like blues, rock, and alternative to tell his story and said he is “done with the rap.”

Scarface explained that he feels that there is nothing left for him to do after more than three decades in Hip-Hop:

“You know how you can just burn a lane? I burned the [Rap] lane,” Scarface told fellow Geto Boy Willie D during a November episode of the “Geto Boys Reloaded” podcast. “We did—we did it, Willie, we f##kin’ did it, bro! We did it. Everything that we set to accomplish out there recording on the pool table with the f##kin’ 4-track or 8-track with the microphone up against the wall? We made it, bro.”

But now, after selling out his farewell show at Houston’s House of Blues, Face has been inspired to take his show on the road one last time for a 32-city farewell tour.

Scheduled to kick off on July 8th, 2022 at Yoshi’s in Oakland, CA, the tour will include a stop at LL Cool J’s “Rock the Bells Festival” on August 6th in Queens, NY.

Scarface will appear alongside his band Formaldehyde Funkmen, performing his all-time classic hits “My Block,” “Smile,” “Guess Who’s Back,” “This Can’t Be Life,” “Mind is Playing Tricks on Me,” and many more.

Scarface will also be offering a special VIP meet and greet with fans. VIPs will receive a limited edition Scarface “Face Mob” commemorative baseball game quality jersey and will get to enter the venue an hour before doors to hang out with Scarface to get their swag signed and take photos.

Bred in H-Town’s South Acres (Crestmont Park) neighborhood, Scarface dropped out of high school and went to the streets, where he would eventually find rap and a more purposeful path through music.

As a member of both the Geto Boys and as a solo artist Scarface has earned 7 RIAA Gold and 4 RIAA Platinum certifications.

Aside from the millions of albums sold, Scarface is often credited for his profound impact on the rap world with his contributions to storytelling, beat-making, beat selection, lyrics, and tone.

He also took significant steps for those struggling with mental health being one of the first rappers to address those challenges in his music.

Scarface is often cited as a rapper who carried the flag for Hip-Hop coming out of the South in the early 1990s when New York and the West Coast dominated the rap scenes across the country.

Fans will be able to find tickets starting on Wednesday, May 18th, on each venue’s website listed below.

Nipsey Hussle Murder Trial Set To Begin 3 Years After His Death

Nipsey Hussle’s alleged killer will go on trial for murder in June.

According to FOX 11 in Los Angeles, a judge confirmed the trial is scheduled to begin on June 2. Prosecutors accuse Eric Holder Jr. of killing Nipsey Hussle outside of the West Coast artist’s Marathon Clothing store in 2019.

Holder, 32, was arrested just a few days after the shooting. A grand jury indicted him on one count each of murder and possession of a firearm by a felon as well as two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a firearm.

Prosecutors say Holder confronted Nipsey Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Joseph Asghedom, over snitching allegations.

“Apparently, the conversation had something to do with Mr. Asghedom telling Mr. Holder that word on the street was that Mr. Holder was snitching,” prosecutors told the grand jury. “The conversation wasn’t particularly intense, it wasn’t particularly belligerent, and it lasted for about four minutes.”

The situation escalated when Holder returned to the store’s parking lot and shot Nipsey Hussle multiple times. Deputy Medical Examiner Lawrence Nguyen said the late rapper suffered 11 gunshot wounds.

Holder has remained in jail since his 2019 arrest. He pleaded not guilty to all of the charges in the Nipsey Hussle murder case.

Charges Against Rod Wave Dismissed

Rod Wave is no longer facing charges for alleged domestic violence.

Attorney Bradford Cohen announced the State Attorney’s Office dismissed a battery case against Rod Wave. The lawyer’s Instagram update included a screenshot of a court document, which noted “this case is not suitable for prosecution.”

“DISMISSED,” Cohen wrote on social media. “Myself and my main man David Bigney @bigneylawfirm represented Rodarius Green aka Rod Wave on his arrest last week, in Osceola County for an alleged domestic violence case. We are thrilled that this misunderstanding is behind him and he can move forward with a successful career.”

He continued, “Sometimes misunderstandings can be misconstrued and it isn’t until all the evidence and witnesses are reviewed that the right decision is made by the States Attorney. We thank the Osceola State Atty for his professionalism.”

Earlier this month, Rod Wave was charged with battery by strangulation. He was accused of choking his ex-girlfriend, who is the mother of his two children.

The incident allegedly occurred on April 24. The Alamo Records artist was arrested during a traffic stop in St. Petersburg, Florida, about a week later.

Rod Wave pleaded not guilty to the battery charge. He was released on $5,000 bail on May 3.

Social Media Compares Amber Heard’s Cross Exam To Rihanna’s 2009 Interview About Chris Brown Attack

The Amber Heard vs. Johnny Depp case is getting explosive after the actor’s ex-wife took the stand as their defamation case enters into its 19th day today (May 19th).

Amber Heard faces fresh criticism as people compared her testimony to new mother Rihanna’s 2009 interview about her domestic violence experience with Chris Brown.

According to Newsweek, during Amber Heard’s cross-examination, in a case where she is being sued for $50 million for defamation, people compared her to another high-profile domestic violence victim.

The “S.O.S.” singer said to Diane Sawyer, “It wasn’t the same person that says I love you. It was not those… eyes. He had … no soul in his eyes. Just blank. …He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him.”

Amber Heard said on the stand, “It felt like he was on top of me, and I’m looking in his eyes and I don’t see him anymore…it wasn’t him. It was black. I’ve never been so scared in my life,” she continued.

As AllHipHop.com reported in 2009, Rihanna and Chris Brown were in a tumultuous and passionate relationship that publicly went left after the “Run It” singer beat her up during Grammy weekend.

Some even compared the two beauties, showing a photo of one’s injuries and another talking about her alleged brutalization.

https://twitter.com/jaclyn62372872/status/1522429559777464321?s=20&t=ovbkDoTSHw4LXGBP25UmiQ

Not everyone fell in line. Some were vehemently against the Rihanna comparisons being made against Amber Heard, who was clearly subjected to domestic violence at the hand of Johnny Depp.

“I saw people using sound clips from [Heard’s] testimony where she describes rape and sexual assault to create comic videos, many of these people were women, and it was shocking to watch,” actor and writer Tova Leigh defended. “I couldn’t believe they were making fun of sexual violence or any violence for that matter.

“The fact they didn’t believe her didn’t matter in my opinion,” Leigh continued. “Sexual violence is not a joke. Imagine all the victims of sexual assault watching people making rape jokes. It is so wrong.”

Amber Heard is countersuing Johnny Depp for $100 million, saying despite what he thinks, she never defamed him because her abuse allegations are the truth.

Rihanna Gives Birth To Her First Child With A$AP Rocky – It’s A Boy!

Rihanna and her boyfriend A$AP Rocky are proud parents – the billionaire singer gave birth to a baby boy last week, on May 13th.

So far, they have yet to make an official announcement about the baby, nor have they revealed his name yet.

The couple announced they were anticipating their first child together in January.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were associates for years, but they became lovers during the COVID-19 lockdown after taking a road trip from Los Angeles to New York in a large tour bus in 2020.

During a discussion with Vogue, Rihanna confessed they didn’t intend to have a baby when she became pregnant with A$AP Rocky’s child.

“I wouldn’t say planning. But certainly not planning against it,” Rihanna stated. “I don’t know when I ovulate or any of that type of s###. We just had fun. And then it was just there on the test. I didn’t waste any time. I called him inside and showed him. Then I was in the doctor’s office the next morning, and our journey began.

“I always thought it would be marriage first, then a baby, but who the f### says it has to be that way. I’m certainly not gonna let that get in the way of me being a mom.”

Congrats!

DaBaby Says He Had To “Pay The Whole Airport” To Leave Nigeria

DaBaby might be a big dog in the United States, but he found out quickly during a visit to Africa that he has to pay like he weighs.

The chart-topping North Carolinian reportedly had to “pay the whole airport” to leave Nigeria during a recent visit.

The artist took to his Instagram to show people him in first class and wrote a brief statement about how folks in the country put the squeeze on him when he was trying to exit the nation, after recording a music video with Afrobeats megastar Davido.

The video was saved and shared on Twitter.

DaBaby revealed it was the Nigerian airport officials who extorted him. He wrote, “Boyyy I had to pay the whole airport off to make this flight.”

While he was in the motherland, he seemed to be right at home. Davido escorted him around and even took him to the hood, where he was more than welcomed.

The two rocked out in Lagos, according to Legit. The video they shot was filmed in a rural (but crowded) part of the city. Nigerians were just as excited to see him there, despite the expensive harassment during his departure.

The airport experience certainly did not change his opinion of his visit to Africa.

Bobby Brown Was Molested

Bobby Brown is a solider.

The 53-year-old entertainer has an A&E Biography and he admits that a damn priest molested him. He specifically says the bastard TRIED to m##### him, but he said the priest touched his private parts. That means, he did – not tried.

He explained in a recent chat, “When my mother was arrested I was sent to temporary custody by social services which was supposed to be a religious place. It was not a nice place to be as a child. One of the priests tried to m##### me.”

You can see how conflicted Bobby is in the language he uses.

“He [the priest] tried to touch my private parts. There was no penetration or anything. He touched my privates and I didn’t like that. I punched and kicked and punched some more until he got away from me; so I ran away from there as quickly as possible,” he continued. “At that time I was a young boy I didn’t know what sexual boundaries were. I just knew I didn’t like being touched. Some things are hard to forget.”

Buddy was 10 years old at the time.

When are we going to condemn these bastards? They do this over and over and over and over again. This is a form of racism, in my opinion. No, they do not exclusively RAPE and RUIN Black, but they do pray on marginalized and disenfranchised people. This means poverty and race are a factor.

What do you think?

Bishop Nehru Responds To Concern Over His “Heroin Addiction” Music Video

Yesterday, Bishop Nehru had a lot of people on the internet talking. Many social media users had a negative response to the 25-year-old emcee’s “Heroin Addiction” visual.

“I tried Heroin in the new video 😔,” tweeted Bishop Nehru on Tuesday afternoon. In the official music video, Nehru portrays himself injecting the drug into his veins.

While the former Nas and MF DOOM protégé posted a disclaimer on YouTube that stated he does not condone the use of hard drugs, some internet commenters still slammed Bishop Nehru for promoting heroin usage.

https://twitter.com/BishopNehru/status/1526629166887608322?s=20&t=brgAJKU3wYR2koIr2ZGn0w

“I don’t want to say it’s funny, because some people are actually concerned, but I just feel like you’re overreacting,” Nehru told HipHopDX about the backlash. “It’s [a] music video. You feel me?”

Apparently, people also disapproved of the fact that Bishop Nehru released the “Heroin Addiction” video because of his ties to Hip Hop legends like Nas, MF DOOM, and DJ Premier. Nehru responded to that criticism as well.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CJemzJoBTyv/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=8540a04f-862a-41e2-b00f-1cc10dab4cb1

“I’m honestly focused on the group that understands there’s a message, but obviously to the losers who think I’m doing it for attention and clout, I have to address them,” stated Nehru.

He continued, “I feel like if anyone else had did something like this, they wouldn’t care, but because it’s me and I’ve worked with DOOM, I’ve worked with Nas and DJ Premier, they’re trying to make it seem like I’m disrespecting them by putting out my art.”

Additionally, Bishop Nehru blasted Twitter users who he believes engage in “cancel culture.” The rapper/producer/director declared, “They’re frauds. They don’t really care about people – they just care about going viral, the same thing they’re saying that I care about.”

Teyana Taylor Wins ‘The Masked Singer’ Season 7

R&B singer/songwriter Teyana Taylor adds winning the Golden Mask Trophy to her personal list of career accomplishments. Performing as Firefly, Taylor outlasted her competitors on The Masked Singer.

Fox aired the season seven finale on Wednesday night. Host Nick Cannon helped reveal Taylor as the new champion. Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke serve as panelists.

Teyana Taylor joins T-Pain, Wayne Brady, Kandi Burruss, LeAnn Rimes, Nick Lachey, and Jewel as winners of The Masked Singer. The Goldbergs actress Hayley Orrantia (Ringmaster) finished as the runner-up to Taylor.

Haimov Jewelers Addresses Lil Meech’s Arrest For Stealing $275K Watch

Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. faces theft and fraud charges in Miami, Florida. Police arrested the BMF star for allegedly stealing a $275,000 watch.

Many observers questioned why an actor on a 50 Cent-produced Starz show would take a timepiece without paying for it. Law enforcement officials claim Lil Meech attempted to trade a $275,000 Richard Mille Roberto Mancini watch given to him on consignment to another jeweler.

According to Hollywood Unlocked, Haimov Jewelers issued a statement about the situation via Instagram Stories. The celebrity news blog account reposted the jewelry store’s social media response to Lil Meech’s arrest.

The message from Haimov Jewelers read:

Haimov Jewelers is a family business. You cannot trade a watch that wasn’t paid for to another jeweler. And take the next jeweler’s watch and not pay them as well. We all work hard for our money and do clean business. We reached out many, many times but you ignore [us]. If someone owed you $200K would you let that slide? We put our blood, sweat, and tears into making this business successful. We came from the [bottom].

Authorities charged Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. with two counts of first-degree grand theft and one count of organized fraud. The 22-year-old entertainer was released on a $150,000 bond.

BMF premiered on the Starz network in 2021. The drama series tells the fictionalized story of the nationwide drug trafficking organization known as the Black Mafia Family. Lil Meech plays his own currently incarcerated father, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory.

Cardi B To Appear On David Letterman’s ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction’

Season 4 of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman will premiere on Netflix this Friday (May 20). The legendary talk show host spoke to Cardi B, Kevin Durant, Billie Eilish, Will Smith, and other celebrities for the 6-episode series.

David Letterman provided a brief preview of the upcoming Cardi B episode. In a clip posted to Twitter, the Grammy-winning Hip Hop superstar discussed her decision to speak out on social issues.

“I don’t really put a lot of political things in my music, but I use the f### out of my platform,” Cardi told Letterman. “And I have used my platform even when I was a dancer. Because you might think people are not looking, but they are.”

She also added, “I’m a hood chick, and I’m from the Bronx. A lot of people relate to me and follow me because they want to see how I’m dressed, my lifestyle. So I feel like I have a responsibility to share [with] them, like, ‘Hey, while you’re here and you’re checking my outfit and checking my music, check out what’s going on over here.'”

Cardi B Has A History Of Addressing Political Topics

Throughout her music career, Cardi B has been very outspoken when comes to politics. Just this week, the Invasion of Privacy album creator weighed in on the racially-motivated mass shooting in Buffalo, New York.

Previously, Cardi interviewed left-leaning politicians such as Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and then-former Vice President Joe Biden during the 2020 United States presidential campaign. Biden even picked up an endorsement from the “WAP” hitmaker for the general election.

Cardi B has also gone head-to-head with right-wing politicians and pundits on social media. Back in 2019, she famously popularized the phrase “dog walk” during a Twitter takedown of conservative commentator Tomi Lahren.

Additionally, Cardi B was one of the most outspoken critics of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. The Republican law enforcement official is responsible for not pursuing serious charges against the police officers who shot Breonna Taylor, the African-American EMT killed during a botched raid.
