Inglewood Producer Womatictracks Talks Producing For 2 Chainz & Sada Baby

Womatictracks is here to inspire all up and coming producers and musicians that if he can make his wildest dreams come true, so can you. Born and raised in Inglewood, the rapper turned producer doesn’t just work with the greats, but uses his platform to motivate and push others to work hard, work smart, and never give up.

In describing himself, Womatic states he’s “a hungry humble producer that’s just going after it.” And if you follow him on Instagram, you already know about Womatictracks University, where he sits in his car and openly gives advice on the music industry via Instagram Live.

Most recently, Womatictrack’s landed an all-star placement on 2 Chainz’ new album Dope Don’t Sell Itself, on the intro track titled “Bet It Back.” The track came into fruition at Atlantic Records studio in North Hollywood, aka “The Trap” co-produced alongside music producer Lil Siege. The rest of his catalog includes producing the #6 track on Sada Baby’s newest project Bartier Bounty 3 also a collaboration with Lil Siege, along with Rellyski’s “Go Getter” off his album SkiSzn with Travis Marsh.

AllHipHop: You’re from Inglewood originally correct?

Womatictracks: Yes ma’am. Born and raised in the town of champions, it’s not always up to no good in Inglewood. We got the Rams now, the Flippers are on the way. Not the Clippers, you know I’m a Lakers fan. But the Flippers are on the way.

AllHipHop: What was it like growing up in Inglewood?

Womatictracks: It was awesome man! When your brother’s an OG from Inglewood, you get some perks. Let’s say it gave me my training wheels.

AllHipHop: Growing up in LA, who were your biggest influences?

Womatictracks: Oh man, I used to be in the underground scene rapping, at Project Blowed and GoodLife, s### like that. [I was with] a lot of underground, young rap dudes — well not young anymore, but a lot of dudes that were coming up back then. [2pac, NWA, Digital Underground, Redman, Keith Murray, Skee-Lo]

AllHipHop: When did you fall in love with music?

Womatictracks: Oh s###, I was young. I fell in love early with music. Mom and dad listening to that good stuff all around, just getting a well-rounded perspective on sonics. On music. Very, very young.

AllHipHop: You started out rapping first?

Womatictracks: Yes ma’am. I still rap occasionally when no one’s around. I love rap, that’s how I got my start.

AllHipHop: When did you pivot to producing?

Womatictracks: Man, I got tired of buying beats. I don’t know what year that was, but I thought, “Man, I’m tired of buying beats. These dudes, they’re holding all the good beats to the side!” And all this other stuff, so I started making beats. I really started making beats in ’99, to be honest with you.

AllHipHop: How did you learn?

Womatictracks: I was playing around with stuff that was in the studio, then I found my own stuff. I started making beats for the homies and they’re like, “Yo bro, you’re pretty good at this s###.” I thought “You know what? Lemme keep pushing.” I ended up falling in love with it. Plus, I always loved music ’cause I used to always read the back of my album covers like, “what the f###, who are these people?”

AllHipHop: Do you remember your first album you purchased?

Womatictracks: Yeah, it was from my uncle. It was his album, it was Run-DMC. That dude had that s### laying around, I’m like, “Man, it just said rap on it! What is this s###?” I put it on my mom’s turntable. I played that s### like, “Yo, this is amazing! I never heard nothing like this before.” That was my first record that I owned that my uncle let me have.

AllHipHop: How’d you get your name?

Womatictracks: My name is Womack and I always loved Nas. I just took Illmatic and put Womack together, so Womatic it is.

AllHipHop: Do you remember your first big placement?

Womatictracks: I can’t say that. Because I was a ghost producer, so there’s a lot of stuff I can’t speak on. But my first major placement was with 600Breezy. That’s the one that I can claim. I did a lot of records for him. Shout out to Hawk, he made it happen.

AllHipHop: Talk about producing 2 Chainz “Bet It Back,” a banger. Can you just bring us back to that session and the creation of it?

Womatictracks: Absolutely, thanks. Me and Lil Siege were at my house, we’re cooking up in the back. We were just making beats, and that was one of the beats we made. I brought it to Noho [studio]. Of course Dallas [Martin] had the relationship with 2 Chainz, and I had a relationship with Dallas and Hawk. Right then and there, he said, “2 Chainz is coming.” Anytime 2 Chainz is coming, you know it’s time to get lit. Get your packs ready. I’m pressing play. As soon as I pressed play on that beat, he killed it. But I have a lot of songs with Chainz that I’m hoping will come out soon too.

AllHipHop: How’d it feel for that to be the intro track?

Womatictracks: Yeah, that was an intro track on Dope Don’t Sell Itself. When he came to the studio… man that dude is a perfectionist. He goes in the booth and christens the place with his energy before he raps. I remember asking his personal engineer, “Nolan, is everything good?” Because he wasn’t saying anything! I’m like “yo, is it all good?” He’s like, “Yeah, this is what he does man.” I’m like alright cool. Then he went in there and murdered that s###. What’s dope about 2 Chainz and this particular record is we made this song in 2020. A lot of people don’t know, and a lot of people slept on this beat too. I’m like, “Man, this beat is crazy!” It just takes the right artist for the right beat, that’s all.

AllHipHop: Do you usually tailor your beats to people? How does it work?

Womatictracks: I used to really be into doing that, but what I realized is that a lot of times, artists want what you don’t think they would get on. They don’t want what’s in the box, people are always sending them beats that sound the same and what they’ve been on. I like to press play with beats that are unique and different, that’s how I produce.

AllHipHop: What is your creative process like in the studio?

Womatictracks: I like to start different. Everything is different, I just want to be different. I want to use the same sonics, the same ingredients, but I don’t want to make my cookies the same way. I want them to have a different taste. That’s my approach: whatever’s current, I want to use those sounds, but I don’t want it to sound like some s### n*ggas heard before. And if you listen to that beat, that s### is different.

AllHipHop: In what way, for those who might not have a sonic ear?

Womatictracks: When you hear most beats, how they move and what goes on, it’s just a different feel. This beat is different. It’s way different. And a lot of people have told me that too like, “Bro, what was you on when you made that?” I say, “You gotta talk to me and Lil Siege man, we were on. We smoked some good kush, I don’t know what was poppin’.” [laughs]

AllHipHop: Talk about working with Sada Baby and what it means to be featured on Bartier Bounty 3.

Womatictracks: Oh man, everything. I made that beat with Lil Siege too. First off, I never seen an artist work like him before. I wasn’t familiar at the time with Sada Baby, but he was booked at the studio at Atlantic Noho for a whole week. I was checking out his energy, meeting his team and everything, and I got really cool with his engineer.

By getting cool with this engineer, I was able to sit in sessions, just vibe out and check him out. That dude was doing 10, 15, 20 songs a night, religiously! Bro, this dude is an animal. S###! I gotta work with this dude. His engineer said, “Well give me some beats!” Alright cool. I sent him a pack. Before you know it, he’s on it. He’s in the studio like, “Womack, come check this s### out.” Word, let’s go! Sada Baby’s the real deal man. His whole team’s solid. Shout out to me and Lil Siege made that, that’s my guy.

AllHipHop: What’s your creative process when you’re working with a producer?

Womatictracks: Whatever they need me to be or vice versa, I want to make something that’s cohesive and that’s unique. I like to always ask them, “Are you against doing something like this?” Most of the time it’s no, because if you’re a real creative and a producer, you want to do something different. You want to do something new. That’s what that was.

AllHipHop: What was the vibe with Sada in the studio? I know he records like crazy, but how were you able to channel his energy?

Womatictracks: I’ve been able to watch him work, and there’s a lot of stuff going on in his studio but he’s not a part of it. Meaning that it’s a lot of activities. One thing, I had a bad view of people that usually have too many people in the studio because a lot of work doesn’t get done. But this dude is laser-focused man. You got all this stuff and activities going on, he’s sitting back just focused on his music and knocking out songs. He’s a true artist. That’s what you want from an artist, you really want him to do different stuff. He can get on any beat, he don’t give a f###. I love his energy. Sada Baby’s the real deal.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CZ2OWL6sYO_/

I also want to mention I have a record with Rellyski, he’s signed to Atlantic Records too. He’s fire. I was in the studio with him man, we actually did 3 songs in the studio that night when we were recording “Go Getter.” That was just one of three. But the kid really comes out of the booth, he listens to his music, sees what people think, he’s really hands-on. He’s from Florida, I really like that kid. He’s dope as f###. Rellyski is that guy. I made that beat with Travis Marsh, a dope ass musician that’s amazing.

AllHipHop: What is Womatictracks University?

Womatictracks: My university is for the people that have been rejected. They want to go after their own dreams and they’re hungry. You don’t have to be an athlete, you don’t have to be in the music. You don’t have to be in any of that stuff, but you really want to chase your dreams and you really want to have it your way. That’s my university right there in a nutshell.

AllHipHop: Talk about starting it in the car..

Womatictracks: There’s two places I’m most comfortable in when I’m talking like this: usually that’s on the toilet — pause — or I’m in my car. It came about that way, so there it is. If you look at my IG page, you’ll see, “Is this dude in the bathroom bro? This dude is really in the bathroom, talking s###!” Seriously. Literally. [laughs]

AllHipHop: Does anyone bring up that you’re on the toilet?

Womatictracks: Yes, yes. All the time. “Bro, are you in the bathroom?!” Yeah bro, I’m in the bathroom. I don’t know why, it comes to me like that. When I’m in there, I’m thinking about life in general. That’s because I’m not in the studio, I don’t have to be so focused on making music. I can be more human in that sense.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio at all times?

Womatictracks: As a producer, I don’t need much. I just need water, coffee, and weed, to be honest with you. That’s all I need. But when I have an artist in the room, I’m really engaged so whatever they need to get the record done. I’m really hands-on like that, where it’s “Let me digress and let me see what it’s gonna take to get this record accomplished. You need some food? You need some drink? You need some weed? Let’s make sure we got all your s### so we don’t leave this room until we got what we need.” That’s my process.

AllHipHop: I saw you post about how important respect is. How important is respect?

Womatictracks: It’s everything. A lot of times, people don’t know how to speak up for themselves. They’re being disrespected on a level that this person is not identifying with because you haven’t set them straight. I feel that if you are affected or offended by something, you have to speak up. You have to let people know how you want to be respected. Regardless of employment, regardless of boss, regardless of whoever it is, you gotta say what’s going to make you a better person. I don’t want to be a stumbling block to anybody, and I don’t want someone to be a stumbling block for me. So let’s all keep it cordial and keep it respectful.

AllHipHop: Any advice for up and coming producers who want to do what you do?

Womatictracks: Yes: please learn the business. Don’t just be a person that loves music. There’s nothing wrong with that, I am that person. But also love the business too, because that’s how you’re going to be able to quit working that cubicle and quit working where you’re working, so that you can focus on the music.

AllHipHop: A lot of producers send out packs, then you’re just waiting. How difficult is the waiting game?

Womatictracks: It’s a b####. They always want you to send them beats… and I’m speaking in general. They’re all, “Send me beats! Send me beats!” That’s a phrase everyone says to everybody. “Send me a pack, send me a pack.” But really truthfully, they might not get into that pack for 3, 4 months or to a year. Because everyone’s sending them packs, and you gotta think about their life and everything else. You gotta be patient man, you really got to be in tune with you man. Your mind can be your enemy. Because your enemy, he’ll be thinking, “Man, this people are blowing me off.” You gotta check yourself and realize how many things do you have going on?

Imagine being on, imagine how many fans this person has to deal with? I don’t believe anyone is blowing off anyone intentionally — pause. [Laughs] M############ be busy bro, and everybody got to check on their scratch. Be patient man, stay hungry. Don’t be offended easy, have some tough skin, and learn how to speak up for yourself. A lot of times, that’s what artists want from a producer. They want you to say something.

AllHipHop: What are you most excited for next?

Womatictracks: I got a lot of little records in the cut right now. What I can speak on is Grammy award vocalist Candace Wakefield, we have this song coming out called “Hallelujah.” We just put out “Baddie.” She’s a Grammy-winning vocalist, 6 or 9 times man. She’s the truth. She’s such a creative, such an original. I wish more people could understand — this business is just crazy man. I got some stuff I’m working on with her. She’s the truth, and I love her.

AllHipHop: Do you have any goals for yourself?

Womatictracks: Yes, I want to break a lot of artists. A lot of dope, unique artists that other people have passed on. I want to be the one that get them in a position where it’s like “Yo bro, let’s go.”

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let us know?

Womatictracks: Really, I just want to say thank you guys for your time, your energy. I appreciate it. Shout out to everybody that’s been rocking with me. And all the people that haven’t been rocking with me to motivate me, I appreciate you all equally.

George Michael Estate Claims Tory Lanez Used Unauthorized “Careless Whisper” Sample On “Enchanted Waterfall”

Tory Lanez can’t seem to avoid drama.

George Michael’s estate says Tory Lanez used an unauthorized sample of the late singer’s “Careless Whisper” single. The Canadian rapper/singer allegedly released his song “Enchanted Waterfall” without clearing the sample.

“It was brought to our attention that the song ‘Enchanted Waterfall’ by the artist Tory Lanez incorporated an unauthorized sample of ‘Careless Whisper’ written by George Michael and Andrew Ridgelem,” Michael’s estate told Variety. “Requested permission for this use had been declined in June 2021 so we took immediate action on behalf of the writers, in collaboration with our publishers Warner Chappell Music, to prevent further exploitation as we will not tolerate any unauthorized use of any songs within the catalogues of George Michael and/or Andrew Ridgeley.”

Tory Lanez’s “Enchanted Waterfall” appears on his Alone At Prom album, which dropped last December. Spotify no longer features the song, but it still remains available on Apple Music, TIDAL and YouTube.

“Enchanted Waterfall” isn’t the first Alone At Prom track to spark trouble for the controversial artist. Madonna previously accused him of sampling her song “Into The Groove” without permission for the album cut “Pluto’s Last Comet.”

Sample issues are the least of Tory Lanez’s worries as he currently awaits trial in an assault case. He faces criminal charges for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. A pre-trial hearing will take place in April.

Pete Davidson Rocks “Kim” Tattoo In Middle Of Feud With Kanye

Pete Davidson has reportedly had the word “KIM” tattooed on his chest.

On Sunday, Kanye West took to Instagram to leak an alleged text conversation between himself and the “Saturday Night Live” star, who is dating his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

While the post has since been deleted, the messages reportedly included a photo of a shirtless Pete in bed, which was sent in response to the question, “Where are you?”

Among Pete’s chest tattoos, though a little blurry in the picture, is one near his shoulder that reads “KIM.”

On her “Not Skinny But Not Fat” Instagram page, Podcaster Amanda Hirsch wrote about the photo, “Omg you guys: PETE HAS A KIM TAT,” highlighting the section of the image with the tattoo.

One commenter wrote, “It looks like something done by someone who doesn’t tattoo. I have a big guess that he let Kim do it.”

Another said, “It’s all very Kravis,” referring to Travis Barker’s tattoo of fiancée Kourtney Kardashian’s name.

After filing divorce proceedings in February 2021, a judge declared Kim legally single earlier this month.

The mother-of-four started dating Pete last November.

Katy Perry Has Words For Christian Rapper After Winning Copyright Lawsuit: “I’m A Scorpio B##ch”

Katy Perry recently called out the rapper who sued her for allegedly stealing her hit song “Dark Horse” featuring Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J.

On Thursday, the pop singer won an appeal in her long-running copyright case over the song.

According to Variety, Perry was defending the claim that the 2013 song “Dark Horse” infringed on the copyright of rapper Marcus Gray, also known by his stage name Flame.

Gray claimed that Perry’s song infringed on his copyright as it was substantially similar to his song “Joyful Noise.”

The rapper first sued in 2014, and a Los Angeles jury found Perry liable for infringement in 2019.

A year later, the verdict was overturned when a judge ruled that the eight-note ostinato – a continually repeated musical phrase or rhythm – Perry allegedly copied lacked the “quantum of originality” to warrant copyright protection.

Gray appealed the decision in October 2020, arguing the similarity of each song’s timbre.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit upheld that decision last week, ruling that a decision against Perry would have dangerous consequences for future creativity.

“The portion of the ‘Joyful Noise’ ostinato that overlaps with the ‘Dark Horse’ ostinato consists of a manifestly conventional arrangement of musical building blocks,” the appeals court wrote in their ruling, reported Billboard

During a concert over the weekend, Katy Perry had some strong words for Marcus Gray – and anyone who may be thinking of suing her in the future.

“So just be sure before you take me to court, ’cause I’m a Scorpio b####,” Katy Perry yelled to the crowd from the stage in Las Vegas.

Unless Marcus Gray takes the case to the U.S. Supreme Court, the ruling marks the end of the road for the long-running legal action.

Lawyer For Pooh Shiesty Says Rapper Is Too Rich To Have Robbed Man For Drugs And Sneaks

The lawyers for rapper Pooh Shiesty have submitted a new court filing that claims that “ballistic and forensic evidence” proves that the artist did not shoot a man in the butt during a 2020 drug deal gone bad.

According to Rolling Stone, the defense called a probation report “illogical” for recommending a judge honor the prosecutor’s proposed eight-year sentence.

Brad Cohen, who represents Pooh Shiesty, born Lontrell Williams, filed the claim on Friday, March 11th.

The court document further states that since Cohen’s client pleaded guilty to a firearms conspiracy charge in January, it is unfair for the report to suggest that he was involved in the October 9th, 2020 “robbery/shooting” at the Landon Hotel in Bay Harbor Islands, Fl.

“The government wants this court to believe Mr. Williams, with a net worth of $3,449,446, planned a robbery, then committed a robbery, and then shot a known drug dealer who knew him well and could easily identify him,” Cohen wrote in the filing. “All over a few hundred-dollar drug deal for personal use, while he was driving a lime green McLaren that he rented from the alleged victim.”

“Mr. Williams possessed over $40,000 in cash and was driving a vehicle valued at over $200,000.”

The attorney continued to argue, “It would be illogical for Mr. Williams to stage a robbery by two other individuals over something so minuscule as a bottle of liquid codeine with a retail value of a few hundred dollars, at most, when any damage done to the McLaren in the process would have cost thousands of dollars to repair.”

“We will provide both ballistics and forensic evidence that Mr. Williams did not fire a weapon and did not strike anyone during the Bay Harbor incident,” Cohen stated.

Cohen maintains that the probation pre-sentencing report stated that the “Back in Blood” rapper should be punished more harshly than the offense he pleaded guilty to would call for. Instead of the suggested 7 to 9 years, he believes his client should get 37 and 46 months.

The Memphis rapper was accused of allegedly driving the McLaren to the hotel to buy weed, codeine, and a pair of high-end athletic sneakers from the man on the day of the shooting.

Later reports note that Pooh Shiesty is seen on footage at the crime scene in the McLaren, with his road manager in the passenger seat. A surveillance video shows that a black Mercedes Maybach follows them.

After Pooh Shiesty received the marijuana and sneakers, the prosecution says that he pulled out a Draco and shot the alleged victim in the buttocks.

After the gunplay, it is alleged that the rapper drove off and dropped a Louis Vuitton bag filled with $40,912.

In addition to the video footage, detectives used the money from the bag to link the artist to the crime. The serial number on one of the $100 bills in the bag matched the serial number on a $100 bill he flashed on Instagram a few days before.

Sentencing for Pooh Shiesty is set for April 20th.

Benny the Butcher Feeds Frontline Workers 500 Italian Sub Sandwiches

Griselda rapper Benny the Butcher just dropped a new album, Tana Talk 4. The Buffalo native took the opportunity to perform a huge giveback for his community while all eyes are on the release.

According to WKBW, the chart-topper could have quickly just done a regular promo tour but opted to give 500 free subs to frontline workers.

Marco’s Italian Deli, owned by Marco Sciortino, provided the sandwichs — showing the artist also believes in supporting local businesses.

In a statement, Benny the Butcher said that he loves the community and continues to support them because they have supported him throughout his career.

“I just wanted to say thank you, and I’m going to support them the same way they support me,” the “Johnny P’s Caddy” rapper said. “All the kids stay in school. I know it sounds cliche but stay in school and do something. Be better than me Benny the Butcher you know what I’m saying? I appreciate it.”

The people felt his sincerity, especially Branton Morgan, a frontline worker that appreciated his small gesture. Sciortino also commented.

The small businessman said, “I think Benny is doing a great job in giving back to the community and his entire fanbase of Western New York by giving them free sandwiches and free lunch. I think it’s amazing.”

Linoshka Mercado, who works as a manager for the deli says, “I love the fact that he’s giving back to the community because me personally I like to give subs away, usually to homeless people. Nicki Minaj Confirms Coi Leray Collab Following Benzino Leak, Promises “Verse Of The Year”

Benzino wasn’t lying — his daughter Coi Leray actually teamed up with Nicki Minaj for a song.

Coi Leray and Nicki Minaj announced a collaboration titled “Blick Blick” on Monday (March 14). The reveal vindicated Benzino, who leaked information about the track during a Clubhouse conversation in February.

After Benzino let it slip on a public platform, Nicki Minaj denied the song’s existence.

“I don’t have a collab coming with anyone,” she claimed on Instagram.

Benzino even issued an apology to his daughter and Nicki Minaj.

“I just wanna apologize to Coi, Nicki everyone involved, I meant no harm nor did I mean to offend or disrespect anyone,” he wrote via Twitter. “I know better, it’s a business of trust and I broke that. I feel horrible and sad. I am 100 percent in the wrong and it will never happen again. Smh.”

As it turns out, Benzino simply jumped the gun. Nicki Minaj hyped up the collaboration a month later, calling her feature a “verse of the year” contender.

“And no you won’t be able to learn the verse right away so don’t try,” she told her Twitter followers. “Breath control. Breathe. Meditate. Diction exercises. Do that for the next 4 days. Then maybe. but I can’t make any promithis promithis promithis.”

Rappers Unite To Support Ukraine With Protest Song “No Fight!” Featuring Skyzoo, Sticky Fingaz & More

The Helping Is Trendy foundation recruited American and Polish rappers to create a protest song in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Skyzoo, Sticky Fingaz, Young Dirty Bastard, Jeru The Damaja and Akrobatik contributed to the new single “No Fight!” along with multiple Polish artists. The song aims to raise money for the creation of a shelter for mothers, children and pregnant women fleeing Ukraine.

“Our foundation specializes in helping children and mothers, primarily through neonatal departments in Polish hospitals,” Helping Is Trendy president Krzysztof Gorzkiewicz said in a press release. “Last year, we managed to organize support for them worth over PLN 3 million, now we want to implement a project that has long been born in our [country] in the face of the war, which turned out to be particularly and urgently needed.”

Proceeds from “No Fight!” will be used to build the “House of Brave Mother” shelter in Poland. If the war in Ukraine stops, the shelter will remain open for mothers and children seeking refuge from any conflict.

“Our foundation comes from Kalisz, and this is a bit obliging, because although Kalisz is known primarily as the oldest city in Poland”, Gorzkiewicz noted. “One must definitely remember that it is a war-experienced city because it was one of the most damaged cities of World War I. In August 1914 it was almost razed to the ground, as a border city at that time it was the first target of the war that broke out then between Russia and Germany.”

Kim Kardashian Claims Kanye West Said Her “Career Was Over”

Kim Kardashian says that during the final stages of their marriage Kanye West told her that her “career was over.”

Just as people have gotten fresh eyes on her husband with the release of the Netflix documentary, “Jeen Yuhs,” the reality star is preparing to show the world a new side of her family with a new Hulu series.

According to a new trailer dropped to promote the April release of “The Kardashians” Hulu series, Kim wanted people to know three things: Kanye was verbally abusive; she is giddily in love with Pete Davidson, and her family is moving like the mafia now.

The trailer opens with a voiceover of one of the sisters saying, “I think it is time that they see a whole new side of the family,” followed by scenes of each member in their respective locations.

Showing various sides, they note that after leaving their E! Network show, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” they are exploring more of their personal lives.

Halfway through the 2-minute trailer, Kim’s voiceover says, “It is really hard with Kanye,” before cutting to a scene of her talking to her sister Kourtney saying, “He told me my career is over.”

Many wonder if their conflict and social media fights will be curated, edited, and featured on the show.

Knox Jiinx tweeted, “Chile if y’all don’t admit Kanye has issues that don’t need be presented to the world especially given his children are involved….but anything goes when it’s against the Kardashians. Y’all weird.”

“It’s clear the kardashians/Jenners think they’re the mob lmao,” Seto posted after watching the trailer. “I totally believe they black light people from deals and pay the media to publish them in a good light now after seeing that new Hulu trailer Kanye go head and talk yo s###!”

“The Kardashians dropping their trailer the very next day after Kanye’s pleading heartbreaking videos is so calculated of them. I honestly don’t feel the same way about them as I did before.”

Over the weekend, AllHipHop.com reported that Ye and Pete Davidson were going back and forth on text messages and things got pretty heated, with the comedian allegedly sending the artists a picture of him in coupled up in bed with Kim while they were still married.

Drake & Jack Harlow Gift Turks And Caicos Resident $20,000 In Cash

Toronto’s Drake and Louisville’s Jack Harlow spent time together on the Turks and Caicos Islands. While in the British territory, the two rap stars presented a local singer with a special gift.

On behalf of the crypto betting platform Stake, Drake and Jack Harlow gifted $20,000 to one of the entertainers at the Grace Bay Club. Drizzy also praised Janardo Laporte for his rendition of the OVO frontman’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” single.

All three men began playing roulette on Stake before Drake asked Laporte what he would do with the winnings from the game. The singer/saxophonist responded, “I’ve got three kids. So I want to do something for my kids and enhance my music career a little bit.”

At that point, Drake pulled out $20,000 in cash from his pocket and gave it to the local performer. Janardo Laporte later exclaimed, “Hey, I wasn’t expecting this. I was on my way home, and… Oh, man! Woo! Yeah, baby!”

The Only The Family label head recently dropped his 7220 studio album. According to sales forecasters, the Alamo Records/Sony Music Entertainment release is on pace to take the top spot on next week’s Billboard 200 chart.

HitsDailyDouble reports 7220 is projected to debut with between 120,000-130,000 first-week units. If those numbers hold up, Lil Durk will earn the first solo #1 project of his career.

7220 includes features by Hip Hop artists Future and Gunna as well as R&B singer Summer Walker and controversial Country singer Morgan Wallen. Durk presented “Broadway Girls” with Wallen as the album’s second single. The collaboration hit No. 1 on several of Billboard‘s rap-focused charts.

The OTF Crew Finds Chart Success With “Ahhh Ha” & What It Means To Be King

Lil Durk scored his first Number One with 2021’s The Voice of the Heroes, the collaborative effort made with Atlanta’s Lil Baby. Before that, Durk reached his personal peak on the weekly album rankings when both Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 and The Voice plateaued at #2 in 2020.

Will Smith On Entanglement: ‘Jada And I Talk About Everything’

Recently, Will Smith visited the CBS Sunday Morning broadcast. While there, he discussed many topics with Gayle King. Of course, one of the most juicy topics is the state of his marriage with Jada Pinkett-Smith. When asked about “entanglements” he confesses, “Jada and I talk about everything.”

Generally speaking, Mr. Smith is one of the most successful rappers turned actors. As of late, the esteemed entertainer has earned two distinguished accolades. One of these honors includes the 2022 Critics Choice Awards for Best Actor for his sublime delivery in King Richard.

The Honor

During his acceptance speech, the lauded thespian sincerely shares his gratitude. “I am here tonight with Venus and Serena and their sister Isha. And, I really just want to say to all of you, thank you for entrusting me with your story,” shares the West Philly wordsmith.

Pure sincerity emphasizes his words. “What you were able to do, and what your family was able to do, inspired everyone in this room, everyone in this country and everyone around the world. You all define the American dream,” shares the super star.

Ultimately, Big Willie wishes them continued favor, “You represent the best of what we all hope this world and this country can be.”

The Rumor

Yes, Will Smith is enjoying a new level of professional success. However, the public seems to still be preoccupied with his marriage dynamic. In fact, Gayle even asks the hard question about entanglements.

“There’s never been infidelity in our marriage. Never. Jada and I talk about everything, and we have never surprised one another with anything, ever,” emphatically states the distinguished author.

There it is; interesting.

Kanye West Appoints Jason Lee Head Of Media & Partnerships

Kanye “Ye” West has traditionally had a love-hate relationship with the press. The Grammy winner is now working to build his own media empire by teaming with Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee.

Ye appointed Jason Lee as the Head of Media and Partnerships. Lee will oversee the delivery of all media content, provide insight for the operation and management of the media department, and streamline partnerships and networking efforts for Donda album creator.

The former Love & Hip Hop cast member also enlisted the full-service DKC to serve as Kanye West’s PR agency of record. DKC has offices based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, DC, and Miami.

Earlier this year, Jason lee conducted an exclusive sit-down interview with West for Hollywood Unlocked. That video produced several viral clips on social media. It also collected more than 840,000 views on YouTube.

“After interviewing Ye for Hollywood Unlocked and partnering with him on the Future Brunch, it was clear we had a shared vision for leveling the media landscape, controlling our narratives, and investing in culture,” says Jason Lee. “I’m both humbled and honored to begin this journey with him and his team.”

Ye & Jason Lee Presented The Black-Centered Future Brunch

In February, Kanye West and Jason Lee met with entertainment industry insiders for the Future Brunch. The event focused on conversations about building equity and representation for Black media. Meta’s Michelle Mitchell moderated the discussion.

“Now we need to invest in Black media. God uses me as a vessel – we declare Black Future Month. The future – not the past,” stated West at the time. Lee added, “Today’s conversation with all of the most powerful Black people in media and Ye was a moment that will define an unstoppable movement.”

Kanye West’s announcement of Jason Lee’s new Head of Media position comes after Hollywood Unlocked was embroiled in an international controversy. The outlet reported that England’s Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 95 despite the Royal Family not confirming the monarch’s death.

After significant skepticism from mainstream media publications, Jason Lee essentially tripled down on the Hollywood Unlocked report. Lee insisted he had “never been wrong” and refused to retract the story. However, Lee later apologized to the Queen and the Royal Family for falsely reporting her death.
