Tory Lanez Seeks To Vacate 10-Year Sentence Citing “Childhood Trauma” And New Witness Statement

Tory Lanez has filed a petition to vacate his 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in light of a recent statement from his driver, alongside other factors, including “childhood” trauma” and a possible discriminatory deportation.

In a statement filed this week, Jauquan Smith, who failed to testify during his trial, claimed that although he did not see who fired the gun that shot Megan, he saw Lanez trying to wrestle the weapon from Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris before the shooting, per Legal Affairs and Trials reporter Meghann Cuniff.

“Mr. Peterson and Ms. Harris began struggling as Mr. Peterson tried to unarm Ms. Harris. I was still pulling Ms. Pete and did not see who shot the weapon,” Smith’s statement reads in part.

In addition, in a 45-page habeas petition seeking re-sentencing, Lanez also asked the appellate court to consider his “childhood trauma,” as the sentencing judge did.

He also argues deportation should not have been considered in sentencing because it is discriminatory.

According to Cuniff, the petition will be considered alongside Lanez’s appellate brief, and a decision is not expected for some months.

Megan Thee Stallion Responds to Tory Lanez Supporters

During an Instagram Live earlier this week, Megan Thee Stallion addressed Tory Lanez and his defenders.

“Y’all trying to pretend like Kelsey shot me,” Megan said. “Kelsey did not motherf###ing shoot me. And I really wonder why she—her main problem with me was, ‘You won’t tell people I didn’t shoot you!” I was like, ‘Kelsey, I don’t want to talk about this on social media at all.’ But now you won’t even get online and defend yourself. So, that really just proves my point: either you took some money or your life is in danger.”

She added, “I know who shot me. I said who shot me. And that’s why the f### you in jail. Y’all motherf###ers are dragging it online like it’s some new evidence. There is no new evidence.”

Kanye West Calls on Nicki Minaj To Clear “Vultures” Feature As Album Misses Another Release Date

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are gearing up to release their highly anticipated joint album Vultures, but they’re doing some last-minute tweaking, including trying to clear a Nicki Minaj verse in the eleventh hour.

While previewing the album in Miami this week, Ye announced the project would arrive Friday (December 15). However, like the previously expected release dates, midnight came and went with no album.

Hours before the duo was set to host another listening event, Ye took to social media to publicly request clearance for a long-awaited verse.

Tagging Nicki Minaj, Kanye West shared a screenshot of a DM to the NYC icon. “May I call you about clearing new body on the album,” West asked in the text.

Ty Dolla $ign teased the track in September at the Le Baroque Club in Geneva, Switzerland. The unofficial “New Body,” track featuring the trio leaked online after Ye scrapped the song from his 2019 album, Yandhi.

“The public adored ‘New Body.’ Like, ‘New Body’ is the biggest hit record that never came out,” Minaj said during a 2022 interview. “Kanye made me write my ‘New Body’ verse four times over in order to fit into where he was creatively and spiritually in his life, right, only to then, I go on the internet a few months later to see him on Drink Champs.”

She added, ”Everybody knows that’s the hit that got away … I think the ship has sailed for ‘New Body,’ everybody has come to love the original way they heard it.”

Meanwhile, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have announced another Vultures rave, this time in Vegas. As for the album, fans are hoping for a release to coincide with the listening event.

Nicki Minaj Roasts Elliott Wilson With JAY-Z Reference As Beef Erupts—50 Cent Jumps In

Nicki Minaj is presumably on top of the world right now. Her new album, Pink Friday 2, is eyeing the No. 1 spot on Billboard with the highest first-week numbers in nearly a decade. But, par for the course, she’s also drawing criticism. On Thursday (December 14), Rap Radar podcast host Elliott Wilson essentially clowned Minaj for her appearance on Kai Cenat’s livestream.

Taking to Twitter (X), Wilson shared a photo of her twerking while Cenat and crew cheer her on. He wrote in the caption, “Hip Hop Journalism.”

Minaj clearly caught wind of Wilson’s comment and promised more to come on Friday (December 15), although she wasn’t specific. She simultaneously dragged JAY-Z into the middle of their squabble, suggesting Wilson relentlessly fawns all over the Roc Nation founder.

“Elliot if you’d spit JayZ dikk out for one second, you’d be able to be happy for the new comers,” she wrote. “Isn’t that how y’all tried to tarnish my image? By saying I’m not welcoming new btchs in? Did songs with all of them tho. Why you not happy for a young black man like Kai. Tmrw btch”

Wilson, who was apparently amused by Minaj’s response and enjoying the attention, quickly retweeted her post. He also defended himself, saying, “Never dissed Nicki. Always said she’s the female rap GOAT. Over Lauryn, Missy, Kim and Foxy and all. I think Cardi B is dope too. Happy Holidays.”

50 Cent, who at this point is a professional internet troll, weighed in hours later via Instagram. He wrote: “Look how @nickiminaj be blacking out on these [ninjas]. this s### be having me crying LMAO.”

While it’s unclear what Minaj has in store for Wilson, she obviously wasn’t pleased with his post. The jury is still out on 50 Cent’s. Check it out below.

50 Cent Breathes New Life Into El Chapo Story With TV Series Following Podcast

50 Cent has added a new project to his expanding television empire. According to Deadline, the G-Unit boss teamed with BET Media Group to develop a new TV series as a companion piece to his podcast Surviving El Chapo: The Twins Who Brought Down A Drug Lord.

Lionsgate’s Pilgrim Media Group and 50 Cent’s G-Unit Film & Television are behind the unscripted series, titled The Twins. The show will tell the stories of Margarito and Pedro Flores, who helped bring down the infamous drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.

50 Cent’s Surviving El Chapo podcast launched in 2022. It was his first show released under the G-Unit Audio banner. The podcast’s second season premiered in October.

The Twins joined 50 Cent’s English and Spanish language crime drama Prey Before You Eat in development. The crime drama reunited 50 Cent with Rubicon Global Media’s Chris Albrecht, who greenlit the Power series when he was the CEO and president of STARZ.

“I am excited to join forces again with Chris,” 50 Cent told Deadline in November. “We have had great success together with the Power universe. I look forward to bringing more premium content to underserved audiences and doing it with my friend Chris makes it that much better.”

“I am excited to get started on building a state-of-the-art production facility,” he wrote on Instagram. “Founding my own studio is the next step in my plan to expand G-Unit Film & Television’s output of premium, diverse content across all media and to provide more opportunities for artists, crew members and more jobs within the community.”

50 Cent will take over the facility in 2024.

Big Daddy Kane’s Rap Innovation Never Crossed His Mind—Until Eminem Inquired

Big Daddy Kane admitted he never thought about his pivotal role in the innovation of rap until he had a conversation with Eminem. The legendary rapper said he didn’t truly realize the impact of his multisyllabic rhyming for many years in an interview with Idea Generation.

“In all honesty, I never paid attention to that until Eminem mentioned it to me a couple years ago,” he told Idea Generation. “I never paid attention to it.”

Several rappers, including Eminem, provided Idea Generation with questions for Big Daddy Kane. Eminem took the opportunity to ask how BDK learned to implement multi-syllables, citing lyrics from “Smooth Operator” as an example. Big Daddy Kane noted how Slim Shady already asked him about it before regarding lyrics from the classic “Ain’t No Half Steppin.”

“I don’t know, I mean I guess it’s just the type of thing when you’re running out of rhymes, you figure out a way to mash words together to keep the rhyme going on,” Big Daddy Kane said. “The one I think that Eminem originally asked me about was, ‘Rap prime minister, some say sinister/Non-stop in the groove until when it’s the.’ He’s pointing out ‘sinister, ‘minister.’ But it’s like, OK, what else rhymes with that? So, I just put ‘non-stop in the groove until when it’s the.’ Say it fast enough – whenista. It rhymes with sinister. I just run out of words. You create your own.”

Big Daddy Kane also told stories from his storied career, reflecting on working with fellow legends such as Marley Marl, Quincy Jones and Teddy Riley. The Juice Crew member offered insight on why he stepped back from music after releasing his Veteranz Day album and told stories about his days in the studio with Prince and Rick James.

Joey Bada$$ Discusses “Power Book III” Role & Its Effect On His Music Catalog

Power Book III: Raising Kanan is back with season three, and the exploits of Unique are front and center in the ongoing narrative. AllHipHop sat down with rapper Joey Bada$$—who portrays Unique in the series—to discuss the evolution of his character. We give props to Joey for garnering new listeners among the often-resistant O.G. set of Hip-Hop aficionados—a daunting task for many new artists.

Unique is a drug kingpin in South Jamaica, Queens circa the late ’80s/early ’90s. He’s young, smooth, ruthless and determined to be the top dog as his older brother serves a lengthy sentence. Raq, played by Patina Miller, will do anything in her power to destroy the competition, or so it would seem. However, the Season 2 finale left quite a bit of speculation. These two opposing forces are set for an earth-shattering crescendo in the upcoming season—and viewers are already raving over it.

AllHipHop: The energy that you give in this role isn’t something that comes naturally to those who weren’t there. Could you impart upon us how you constantly added to this knowledge base as you’ve moved along?

Joey Bada$$: I was always fascinated with the ’90s era. I identify it with the golden era of Hip-Hop. Being from New York, eing from Brooklyn specifically. I wasn’t an adult at the time or even a teenager. But I feel like I experienced a lot of the people that were connected to that time. A lot of that influence has leaked on to me, and I picked that up. My artistic expression is aligned with the time. When it came to that, there was an aspect of it that I was able to naturally bring forth.

AllHipHop: To be perfectly honest, I have only been checking for your music for the past three or four months. I was listening to MF DOOM on Spotify, and it plays MF DOOM and similar artists. I’m listening and, ‘Yo, YO….YOOOO!” Do you think older cats are checking for you more because of Power Book III?

Joey Bada$$: I have been doing the music thing for 10 plus years now, but I will say I have succeeded in not only creating a fanbase, but a lane for myself.  But I will say that Kanan has exposed me to audiences in a new way. It definitely has made people want to explore the person behind the character more, and ultimately, I am grateful for that. I am very pleased to hear that was your discovery and your journey. Even though I have been in the industry for awhile now, I do feel like in many ways I’m just getting started.

Check out the video below and stay tuned for more of our Power Book III coverage with interviews from stars Mekai Curtis and Patina Miller.

Doja Cat Bedeviled By Satanist Claims Despite Dressing Like Devil

Doja Cat discussed people’s reactions to her use of Satanic imagery in an interview with Apple Music. The brazen rapper/singer said too many fans tried to attach a deeper meaning to her images and videos when she only selected certain visuals because she liked how they fit her songs.

“I like the idea of I did it on purpose and it’s this big ruse to make people react, but I also like the idea of—what it is is that I love this piece of visual art,” she told Apple Music. “I like this visual for this sound. So, I chose that visual and I applied it to the sound and people made up what they want, which is what you do with art. You interpret it how you want to interpret it.”

Doja Cat often trolled fans over their devil-worshipper accusations. She even provided them with more ammunition with her “Demons” and “Paint the Town Red” music videos. But she admitted it was frustrating to see how many people seriously believed she was a Satanist.

“Everybody has the right to interpret it how they want, but this whole very confident Satanism thing is like, I’m sorry – when the f### did I say that I was a Satanist?” she asked. “When did I ever say anything or even go marching outside the church? Talking about—no, when the f### did I say that? Anyway, it’s really tacky and annoying and f###### discredits a lot of the hard work that I’ve put in. It discredits a lot of the hard work that a lot of people have put in.”

Doja Cat released her latest album Scarlet in September. The project debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, making it the second-highest charting album of her career.

Johnathan Majors Trial Closes After Viral Video Hits

The Jonathan Majors‘ trial in a Manhattan courtroom, proceedings have concluded after nearly two weeks. The actor, known for his roles in “Loki” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” did not testify, according to Deadline.

The jury will now deliberate on the domestic abuse charges levied against Majors by his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. The trial has been marked by a plethora of evidence, particularly focusing on the events of March 25, which culminated in Jabbari’s allegations of domestic assault against Majors.

”This entire case is built on Grace’s lies — and, boy, does Grace lie,” Major’s lawyer Priya Chaudhry told jurors.

The defense’s decision to not have Majors testify was a strategic one.

His testimony could have offered a personal narrative and possibly swayed perceptions, but it also posed the risk of intense cross-examination by the prosecution. The trial has seen a diverse range of witnesses and evidence, including text messages that cast a shadow on Majors’ defense.

On December 8, a moment with a definite shift, Majors maintained a stoic expression in court as text messages exchanged with Grace Jabbari were publicly scrutinized. These messages, dating back to an incident in London six months prior to his New York arrest, revealed Jabbari’s intent to seek painkillers from a hospital and Majors’ concerns about potential legal implications.

Majors’ legal team initially succeeded in excluding these texts from the court record. Judge Michael Gaffey later permitted the texts as evidence following defense attorney Chaudhry’s cross-examination tactics, which were deemed to have undermined Jabbari’s credibility.

Chaudhry presented video footage and photographs from the night of the alleged incident and the following morning. This evidence aimed to track Jabbari’s movements, from leaving in a chauffeured vehicle with alleged injuries, to her time at a nightclub, and finally to her accusation of assault against Majors to the police at his apartment.

Chaudhry argued that discrepancies between Jabbari’s accounts and the visual evidence, combined with witness testimonies, undermined the credibility of her allegations. “Not one version of her story matches up with the photos, the videos, witness testimony or common sense,” Chaudhry stated, challenging the narrative presented by the prosecution.

With Majors abstaining from the stand, the final testimony was from his WME agent, Elan Ruspoli. Ruspoli, who has represented Majors for years, recounted a call from the actor on the night in question, describing Majors as “beyond concerned, distraught, worried.”

This conclusion of testimonies marks a pivotal moment in a case and reinforces that Jonathan Majors career and reputation is on the line.

Did Drake Take Camilla Cabello On Romantic Vacation To Turks & Caicos?

Drake has seemingly moved on from his Rosalía crush and started pursuing chart-topping singer Camilla Cabello. Rumors they two are dating began to swirl this week amid what appeared to be Drizzy’s boys trip to Turks & Caicos. While The 6 God has been going viral for buying out the bar at local hotspots on the island, including Noah’s Ark Beach Club, he’s now trending for allegedly entertaining Cabello.

Among the clips and videos circulating on social media appear to show the pair getting cozy onboard a yacht, in addition to riding jetskis together. While it’s hard to confirm whether the rendezvous is on a romantic tip, Cabello appears to be the first women to pop up on the trip since a separate clip of Drake serenading a woman to his song “Feel No Ways” went viral last week.

What y’all think? Has Drake locked down another music industry “it girl” or are they keeping things casual and just kicking it? Check out some of the footage of Drake kicking it on the Caribbean island below.

EXCLUSIVE: Kanye West’s Disappearing Act Leaves Another Lawyer Scrambling For Help

Trax Records asked a Louisiana judge to approve unconventional ways to serve Kanye West with a lawsuit on Monday (December 11). According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Trax’s attorney Scott Spivey filed a motion seeking alternative service after struggling to locate Ye and receiving no help from the controversial rapper/producer’s lawyer.

“The necessity for this motion arises from the fact that counsel for Ye has been notified but refuses to provide an address for his client,” Spivey wrote. “Additionally, Defendant Ye is constantly traveling around the world, making conventional service of process impossible. This motion is crucial to uphold due process and ensure Defendant Ye is duly notified of the ongoing legal proceedings.”

Trax sued Kanye over an unauthorized sample of Marshall Jefferson’s song “Move Your Body” in 2022. Ye used the track for his song “Flowers” on Donda 2.

Spivey attempted to serve Kanye with legal papers at a California address in December 2022. Ye’s lawyer Greg Nelson claimed his client did not reside there in a June 2023 email exchange.

Nelson did not make things easier for Spivey a month later. Spivey asked if Nelson would accept service or advise Spivey on how to serve Ye with papers in July 2023. Nelson said he did not have the authority to waive service and provided no address for his client.

“Ye is in Japan,” Nelson wrote in one email. “I don’t have an address for him at this time.”

The struggle forced Trax to get creative. The label’s lawyer requested alternative service, arguing that Kanye “essentially made himself an international defendant” due to his non-stop travel and assertions by Nelson.

“Considering the unique challenges presented by Defendant Ye’s circumstances, the following alternative service methods are proposed,” Spivey wrote. “Service by Publication: Publish notice of the legal proceedings in reputable international newspapers and online platforms that are likely to be accessed by Defendant Ye. Service by Mail: Send copies of the summons and complaint via international certified mail to any known addresses associated with Defendant Ye. Service through a Designated Agent: Utilize a legal representative as a designated agent to deliver the necessary documents to Defendant Ye. Each method has its advantages and potential drawbacks, but all are aimed at ensuring that Defendant Ye receives proper notice.”

Trax awaits the judge’s ruling on the motion.

EXCLUSIVE: Diddy Lawyers Up Following Multiple Sexual Assault Lawsuits

Diddy has retained the legal services of New York City attorneys Jonathan D. Davis, Alyssa M. Pronley and Anthony C. LoMonaco following the multiple sexual assault lawsuits filed against him. AllHipHop has confirmed they’ll be taking the reins in both the case filed by plaintiff Joi Dickerson-Neal and the Jane Doe case against Bad Boy Entertainment, ex BBE president Harve Pierre, Bad Boy Records and Combs Enterprises. The paperwork was filed with the New York County Clerk on Wednesday (December 13).

Diddy’s ex Cassie Ventura got the ball rolling on November 16 when she filed a bombshell lawsuit against him, alleging rape, physical abuse and a myriad of other outrageous accusations. Although the former couple settled out of court less than 24 hours later, the suit triggered an avalanche of others. Dickerson-Neal and Liza Gardner filed their lawsuits against Diddy following his settlement with Ventura, alleging he sexually assaulted them in the early ‘90s. Jane Doe sued Diddy in December, accusing him of gang rape and sex trafficking her in 2003 when she was 17 years old.

The 54-year-old is seeing consequences in numerous areas, including his own company REVOLT. Last month, he stepped down from his positions as he deals with the fallout from Ventura’s actions. More recently, his blossoming reality show, the tentatively titled Diddy+7, was scrapped by Hulu.

The Recording Academy is also supposedly “evaluating” whether Diddy will be allowed to attend the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2024. The organization previously considered removing Diddy from the guest list, but an unnamed source suggested backlash led to a “logistical nightmare,” The Recording Academy addressed Diddy’s possible involvement with the upcoming show, saying in a statement, “We are taking this matter very seriously and we are in the process of evaluating it with the time and care that it deserves.”

Diddy continues to maintain his innocence. He vehemently stated via Instagram last week, “Enough is enough. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

“Bamboozled” & “Love & Basketball” Added To Library Of Congress National Film Registry

The satirical black comedy Bamboozled and romantic sports drama Love & Basketball will be preserved in the Library of Congress.

Bamboozled and Love & Basketball joined 23 other motion pictures as part of the Library of Congress National Film Registry’s 2023 class. The LOC selects movies each year for their cultural, historic or aesthetic importance to preserve the nation’s film heritage.

The public submitted 6,875 titles this year for National Film Registry consideration. 1955’s Lady and the Tramp, 1980’s Fame, 1990’s Home Alone, 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day, 2013’s 12 Years a Slave and other movies also made the cut.

Spike Lee Says Bamboozled Has One Of The Most Powerful Scenes Of His Career

Director Spike Lee’s Bamboozled starred Damon Wayans, Savion Glover, Jada Pinkett Smith, Tommy Davidson, Michael Rapaport, Mos Def and Paul Mooney. Hip-Hop acts The Roots, Canibus, Charli Baltimore and MC Serch also appeared in the cast.

“One of the most powerful sequences I think I’ve done is the closing scenes of Bamboozled where we show historically, visually, the hatefulness of white people in blackface,” Lee said. “Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney, Eddie Cantor… just the debasement of who we are as a people.”

Lee is a multi-time Academy Award-nominated filmmaker. His BlacKkKlansman won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2019. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences also presented Lee with the 2016 Academy Honorary Award.

Bamboozled initially garnered negative reviews from many critics. However, the film gained significant cultural relevance and appreciation in later years. In contrast, Love & Basketball received mostly positive feedback from critics upon its release.

Gina Prince-Bythewood Was Discouraged By The Lack Of Black Love Stories

“A great deal of this film was autobiographical,” Love & Basketball director Gina Prince-Bythewood stated. “Monica’s character, growing up as an athlete, all the feelings she felt, feeling ‘othered’ and different as if something’s wrong with her because she loves sports. All those were things that I had to deal with growing up, being a female athlete and with my parents.”

Sanaa Lathan played the older version of Monica Wright-McCall in Love & Basketball. Kyla Pratt portrayed a younger version of Monica. Omar Epps starred opposite Lathan as the older Quincy McCall. Glenndon Chatman took on the role of young Quincy.

“I was really discouraged that there weren’t Black love stories,” Prince-Bythewood admitted. “And so I wanted to see myself in a love story.” She also added, “It’s incredibly humbling. It absolutely set the tone for my career.”

Gina Prince-Bythewood also directed feature films like The Secret Life of Bees, Beyond the Lights, Before I Fall, The Old Guard and The Woman King. Additionally, she served as a writer for television series such as A Different World, South Central and Shots Fired.

Tiffany Haddish Charged In Beverly Hills DUI Case

Beverly Hills Police Department authorities arrested Tiffany Haddish around 5:45 am last month. The 44-year-old entertainer heads to court for the DUI case.

On the morning of November 24, local police officers responded to a call about a woman stopped on Beverly Drive while her vehicle continued to run. According to reports, Tiffany Haddish now faces two misdemeanor charges.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office accused Haddish of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with .08% blood alcohol content. The Los Angeles-born comedian will be arraigned on December 22.

Tiffany Haddish also faced a DUI charge in Peachtree City, Georgia last year. In a similar situation to the Beverly Hills case, a 911 caller claimed a driver fell asleep in their vehicle.

Peachtree City law enforcement officers eventually arrested Haddish. She supposedly only remained in police custody for a few hours. The Girls Trip actress later posted a $1,666 bond.

“Yes, I did get charged with a DUI, which stands for dumb unfortunate incidents,” Tiffany Haddish joked while guest hosting a 2022 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Following her 2023 arrest, Haddish vowed, “I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries.”

Christian Rapper Lecrae Defends Lil Nas X Following His “Christian Era” Claim

Proud Christian and Reach Records co-founder Lecrae has addressed the backlash directed at Lil Nas X, publishing a video message on his YouTube channel.

“I don’t like it when I see non-Christians being chastised with Christian belief,” Lecrae began. “They don’t subscribe to what you describe to. So how can you challenge them with that? They don’t even subscribe to the same book. They don’t play the same game you play. So how are they breaking the rules?”

Lacrae continued, “Only God knows the motive of Lil Nas X when he gets on here and says, ‘Hey, I’m just reaching out to God.’ But he’s not asking for Christians to come diss him because of the things he’s done in his past. He’s asking for what we all ought to ask for [which] is for God to not define us by what we have done, but offer us grace and a relationship.”

Lecrae also offered an open invitation to Lil Nas X to get a better understanding of the controversial celebrity. The No Church in a While album creator explained that the meeting didn’t need to be public.

“As it pertains to Lil Nas X, my brother, I don’t know you know you, but I’m down to get to know you, love to get to know you,” he shared. “I don’t know your motivations. I don’t assume to know your burdens or desires or your story. But I’m here if you want to share it.

“I have no desire to make a public spectacle out of it. I have no desire to post pictures, ‘Look, me and Nas hanging out.’ My only desire is to see you become everything God wants you to be. So, man, I’m here. I will not be one of the ones who exists to condemn and to criticize you because I know what grace tastes like. I know what forgiveness tastes like.”

Lil Nas X upset some people by suggesting he’d entered his “Christian era.” The openly gay recording artist has traditionally incorporated demonic/occult themes into his content.

“Y’all mind if I enter my Christian era?” Lil Nas tweeted on November 29. The Grammy winner also tweeted, “Making Christian music does not mean I can’t suck d### no more.”

Internet prankster-turned-Christian advocate John “Holy Gabbana” Hill took exception to Lil Nas X’s comments. The former adult film star known as Boonk Gang suggested the 24-year-old Georgia native couldn’t claim to be a follower of Jesus Christ because he supposedly lives in “habitual/intentional sin.”

Waka Flocka Flame Crowns Doja Cat “The Madonna Of This Era”

Madonna is often referred to as the Queen of Pop but apparently, Waka Flocka Flame thinks Doja Cat has claimed that crown in 2023.

“Am I tripping or Doja Cat is [the] Madonna of this era,” Waka Flocka posted on the X platform. The December 13 tweet generated reactions from other social media users.

One person responded, “She is period, kings recognize,” while another commenter wrote, “Doja Cat kinda mid [to be honest] like Madonna.” In addition, someone tweeted, “I’d say more like Grace Jones.”

Doja Cat originally broke out as a recording artist with 2018’s viral single “Mooo!” She went on to earn her first No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart when “Say So” rose to the top spot in 2020.

This year also saw Doja achieve Hot 100 success. “Paint The Town Red” spent three weeks at No. 1. Plus, the Los Angeles native made it into the Top 20 with “Agora Hills.” Both tracks live on the Scarlet studio LP.

Madonna is one of the most accomplished musicians of the last 40 years. The 65-year-old legend has 12 career No. 1 songs on the Hot 100. That total puts her in a tie with The Supremes for seventh place on the all-time list.
