Master P Wants Statute Of Limitations On His Former Artists Complaining About Him

Master P wished there was a way to stop his former artists from airing out their grievances with him.

The No Limit Records founder insisted he treated his artists well in an interview on The GAUDS Show. Master P claimed he willingly tore up contracts when people wanted to leave his label.

“I’m like, ‘How could an artist be mad with me?’” he asked. “Let me tell y’all—and I want all y’all to know this, this what my motto was: If you don’t wanna be with me, I don’t wanna be with you. It’s almost like in a relationship. I ain’t trying to hold you back.”

Master P believed some ex-No Limit artists didn’t appreciate what he did for them. He wanted them to leave their gripes in the past.

“That’s what I call ungratefulness,” he said. “If you moved on 10 or 15 or 20 years after me, why you talking about me? I forgot about y’all! For real. I’m the only thing you can talk [about]?”

He added, “It should be a law. After seven years, you shouldn’t be allowed to go on no podcast and talk about nobody. Think about it! It’s [a] statute of limitations. If you ain’t been around that person in over seven years, please, you don’t deserve to talk about ‘em.”

Ice-T’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star Ceremony Brings Out Ice Cube, Chuck D, Mike Epps & More

Ice-T received the 2,747th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday (February 17). During the ceremony, presenters Chuck D, television producer Dick Wolf and follow Law & Order actor Mariska Hargitay praised the 65-year-old actor for his legendary career. Ice Cube, Russell Simmons, Mike Epps, The Rhyme Syndicate, Body Count and wife Coco were also among the many in attendance.

Wolf, who took the podium first, called him “the coolest guy I have ever met.” He continued, “I don’t know what the term is. The bomb? I don’t know. Ice is cool. He is one actor who has been with me for 25 years who’s never caused a delay, has never complained about the size of his trailer. Basically, [he] comes to work, says his lines and goes home very happy. It’s a treat for me to see this happen […] There are very few people that I met over the course of my career that has the universal appeal that Ice has.”

Chuck D took the stand next and marveled at Ice-T’s many accomplishments and the indelible mark he’s left on Hip-Hop.

“On the music side, I don’t know how many icons are they gonna put on your star, Ice?” he said about the multi-hyphenate. “Today is a good day, like our little brother Ice Cube said.”

Unbeknownst to the Public Enemy powerhouse, Ice Cube was in the crowd, so Ice-T brought Cube on stage and shared a moment. Hargitay, meanwhile, nearly cried as she talked about her bond with Ice. Both made it abundantly clear just how much admiration they had for one another.

“It is so profoundly right that your name is now here commemorated forever in this place because there’s something else that I hold sacred, and that is friendship,” she said. “Your achievements and your artistry and your whole story runs so deep. At a time when people overuse words without thinking, you are indeed the real OG. To me, Ice, the reason you’re here in my heart is because you are the OG of friendship.

“You are the real deal — my true blue, authentic, unshakeable friend, and I can’t tell you what that means to me. You have been such a joy. You’re the embodiment of loyalty. You tell the truth, you keep it real. We laugh every day, you grieve with me in times of sorrow, and you keep things in perspective. You’ve never failed me once. In 22 years, I’ve never heard Ice complain.”

When it was time for Ice-T to say a few words, he proceeded to deliver an impromptu 11-minute speech full of fervor. He touched on the origins of his career and birth of gangsta rap, which he helped pioneer on the West Coast.

“I wore these sunglasses not for fashion, but I knew they might make me cry up in this m###########,” he told the crowd. “But let’s start if off like this—I never thought I would get a star. I mean, really? The way my life was going, it was like, ‘What can we come up in Hollywood and steal?’ We was really out here causing problems. This was just out of the question; show business was out of the question. And then Hip-Hop came and I found something that I could do.

“What I did was tell the stories of the life I was living, and we invented a genre. Well, Ice Cube co-invented this genre called gangster rap. When I was doing it, they didn’t have a name for it. We were calling it reality rap. Then Cube came out and said, ‘Straight outta Compton/ Crazy m########### named Ice Cube/ From the gang called N-ggas With Attitudes.” And the press said, ‘Oh, well, that’s gangsta rap. Isn’t that gangsta rap?’ Then I had to follow up Cube and be like, ‘OK, well I’m the original gangster. Let’s go!'”

Toward the end of the speech, Ice-T thanked his “haters” for motivating him, conjuring up memories of his infamous Chappelle’s Show skit in which he plays the Original Player Hater.

“I really want to thank the m###########’ haters, cause you really make me get up in the morning and be the best I can be,” he said with a laugh. “All the naysayers, all the people that wanted to end my career, now I’m on the Walk of Fame. And that’s the motivation. You got to let the haters motivate you. If it wasn’t for the haters, I definitely wouldn’t have pulled this off, I swear to God. Thank you so much. I’m going to give you so much more to hate in the future, trust me. I love y’all.”

XXXTENTACION Murder Trial: Drake’s Armed Guards Block Subpoena From Being Served

XXXTENTACION’s murder trial is underway and suspect Dedrick Williams’ attorney, Mauricio Padilla, is still trying to get Drake to talk. The Miami-Herald reports Padilla filed a motion in Broward court on Friday (February 17) accusing Drake’s armed guards of blocking the subpoena.

Broward Judge Michael Usan vacated an order on Tuesday (February 14) that would’ve forced Drake to give a virtual deposition on February 24. The order threatened him with contempt of court if he didn’t show.

Because Padilla still retained the power to subpoena Drake after Judge Usan’s order, he issued another motion asking the court to require a deposition from Drake. He again wants him held in contempt of court if he misses it. Padilla remains convinced Drake is somehow connected to X’s 2018 killing due to past beef.

“The court explained the importance of balancing the rights of the defendants to investigate this first degree murder case properly with Aubrey Drake Graham’s privacy issues,” the motion read. “It was clear by the court’s ruling that he expected for the parties to work together and that despite entering the order vacating, that he expected the deposition to take place.”

Padilla added Cohen refused to accept a subpoena for Drake to testify. Earlier this week, a servicer tried to serve the subpoena to Drake in California but was met with armed guards at his home.

Drake’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, counters there’s a “lack of foundation.” Law & Crime shared video of the court proceedings on Monday (February 13). Cohen explained Padilla sent Drake a Zoom link for the deposition without sealing it. Days later, Padilla filed a notice with the court but failed to include details on how the Zoom interview would be conducted. Cohen therefore claimed the subpoena was “procedurally defective.”

Judge Usan will likely see the motion on Tuesday (February 21) following Monday’s court holiday.

Ice Cube Speaks On Current State Of America: “The Country Is Very Uneasy Right Now”

Ice Cube recently fielded some questions from Wall Street‘s Maria Bartiromo about his BIG3 basketball league. Before Season 6 gets underway on June 25, the gangsta rap pioneer talked about plans to sell some of the teams. He couldn’t get into too much detail, but he mentioned the league was in negotiations.

“We’ve been talking to owners of teams, some MLB, NFL,” he said. “We want real owners, guys who know how to promote the sport in their cities, a guy who knows the city. Not just a guy but investors who are familiar with the cities and very active in the cities they’re in. That’s part of our overall plan.”

Ice Cube was then asked about the current state of the country—which is experiencing a fentanyl epidemic and rampant homelessness in all major cities— and whether people should be “worried” the country is on the wrong track.

“I think they should be [worried],” he said. “The country is very uneasy right now. Everybody got to do their part. The BIG3, we’re going from city to city this year. We’re not in our bubble like we have been in the last couple of years. We’re going to be all over the country this summer, hopefully making cities a little better than we found them when we leave. That’s our plan. I think it should be everybody’s plan. Everybody’s got to look in the mirror and say, ‘What can I do to make things better?’ That’s the only way it’s going to change.”

Ice Cube has been a proponent of socio-political change since the early N.W.A days. Decades later, he’s still pushing for action with songs such as “Arrest The President” form 2018’s Everythang’s Corrupt. Find the full clip here.

Juelz Santana Tries To Get His Wife Back

I know Juelz Santana loves his wife Kimbella. You know how I know? When he got on bended knee and proposed, he creased his Timberland boot. And, it was then that I knew that he loved her. Anyway, fast forward a few years…they have split. I do not know if they are divorced yet…but it ain’t looking too good.

What did he do on the Valentine’s Day holiday? My man went on bended knee again in full humble mood. Basically he begged for his wife back openly on social media. I’m not mad at him. Other people have done that such as Lil Durk. You just have to do what you have to do some times and be a Man about it. The only thing is, will it work?

Snoop Dogg At The Center Of Offensive Kroger Black History Month Tribute Debacle

A Georgia grocery store is under fire after creating a Black History Month display, including the clinched Black power fist, terms like “Say it Loud, I’m Black and I’m Proud,” along with a life-size cut out of Snoop Dogg and his 19 Crimes wine brand.

Community stakeholders say it is disgraceful, offensive, and stereotypical.

One of the loudest voices was Johnnie Jones, a former president of the local NAACP and history-making pilot. He called the display “offensive.”

“Proud of drinking wine? No. We’re proud of the Tuskegee Airmen whose shoulders I stand on,” said Jones. “We need to be thirsty for knowledge,” WSB-TV reports him as saying.

Others like Michael Drummond, a customer at the Kroger on Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City, said, “It’s very negative,” adding, “they really promoting alcohol.”

After getting complaints about the display, Kroger opted to take down what they thought was a celebratory tribute to Blackness, and issued this statement,

“Kroger is committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in all we do. Our intentions are never meant to be offensive.”

Not everyone was upset.

Pam Lewis, also a customer, said, “I didn’t think there was anything wrong with showing a display of Snoop. I mean, if you want to drink wine whether it’s Black History Month or not it shouldn’t really make any difference,” she said.

Snoop Dogg was not connected to this promotion; he was only featured in the display.

6ix9ine Accused Of Humiliating Cubans And Forces Government To Shut Down Internet

Just as news of 6ix9ine’s Israel concert was announced, the Biggest Opp has again made headlines on the international front.

According to local reports, the Brooklyn rapper is accused of causing chaos after tossing money at fans in Havana, Cuba, but accounts differ.

Some people say on Thursday, February 16th, 6ix9ine threw money out of a window at the Grand Packard Iberostar hotel, where he was staying. Others say he made it rain from his car.

Either way, the gesture has been seen by many, including the Cuban government, as a “humiliating” and “shameful” act, amping up images of poverty that many people around the world have about the small island country.

In fact, it has been reported that the government shut down the internet for hours to stop the videos of the incident from circulating.

Earlier in the week, the rapper posted videos of him in Cuba but has since deleted them.

No one knows precisely why the rapper is/was in Cuba since Tourism is prohibited. Americans are only allowed to go if they are traveling in a group for a “people-to-people” cultural/educational tour.

Regarding the money, the rainbow-haired rapper has issued a disclaimer saying, on his Instagram Stories days ago, “I ain’t got no money, that money you be seeing me with on Instagrams that be fake money, props.”

CONDOLENCES: Cam’ron Shares Sad News Of His Mother’s Passing

Harlem rapper Cam’ron took to social media to share the sad news of his mother passing earlier this month.

Notoriously private when it comes to his real personal life, the Dipset artist posted on Instagram an emotional tribute to his mom, Ms. Fredericka Giles.

“Right now, I don’t have the strength to put into words to express what my mom means to me, and I’d have to right (sic) a book and maybe I will,” he wrote.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by @mr_camron

First, he shared a little bit about her character and the tremendous fortitude she demonstrated over the last 15 years of her life.

The caption remembered, “In 2007 my mom had a stroke leaving her partially paralyzed on her left side and a speech impediment, but if you followed her or was her friend on social media you would never know any of that. She was witty, funny, intelligent, sarcastic, and outspoken. People would say ‘Cam I know you’re writing ya moms’ captions’ and I wasn’t. I would see my moms’ captions and say ‘Where are you learning this?’ (Lingo) she’d tell me ‘be easy lil homie’ lol.”

Cam’ron said at first, he didn’t want to post publicly about her passing but decided to because of the impact his fans (and those she created on her own) had on her last days.

“I’m so sad to inform you guys of her passing. I wasn’t going to share this because I’m in a lot of pain and Didn’t think it was anyone’s business, But thinking about it, I really wanted to thank you all for making my moms’ days and nights for the last decade or so,” he explained. “Social media was her go-to for, entertainment, news, general gossip etc.”

The “Oh Boy” chart-topper said he would send her clips and news about him. She also made friends that she would even push to get passes to his shows.

“If I had a show anywhere (Boston, Cali, Texas, etc.) and she’d say, ‘Yo my friend is gonna be at the show get him/her in!’ And I’d say ‘Mom, you don’t know these people.’ She’d say, ‘Yes, I do that’s my friend.’”

Cam said he would reply to his mother, saying, “You never even met them.” Her reply would be, “ I SAID GET THEM IN!!!” And the dutiful son would oblige.

“She wanted to know a couple months ago why she wasn’t verified, she said, ‘I need that blue check, yo’ and my pr person @pqchanel made that happen (thank you for that),” he remembered.

He ended his sharing by talking about his last birthday with her.

“She wasn’t doing well on my bday that just passed, and when I walked in her room (in the hospital) she was on IG saying, ‘Everyone wants to know what’s up with me ’cause I didn’t post for your bday.’ I said do you want me to help you make one? She was like ‘Nah.’ She wouldn’t want anybody else posting for her. She felt that like having a ghostwriter I guess,” he wrote.

“So, this message is really for y’all guys (her social media friends) thank you all for liking, loving, and appreciating my mom,” he concluded before calling her his “biggest supporter” and “best friend.”

AllHipHop.com sends our condolences and heartfelt wishes to the family of Cameron Giles, during this time of bereavement.

Charleston White Goes Nuts, Blames J Prince, Cops, And Mayor for Cancelling Comedy Show in Houston

Charleston White is fuming mad over the cancellation of his appearance in Houston, Texas, and he blamed the local police for ruining his show last night (February 17th).

According to Charleston, the cops refused to provide protection for his “Charleston White and Friends Comedy Tour” due to his ongoing feud with J Prince of Rap-A-Lot/Mob Ties. Apparently, officials were concerned about the safety of both Charleston and the audience.

The polarizing figure knows that J Prince is powerful in the Houston music scene, with connections that reach far and wide, so he decided to scrap his appearance.

“It’s done been confirmed. James Prince runs Houston. The Mayor and the Houston Police Department say that they are getting calls that Charleston White is gonna be speaking at an event. Houston Police Department sounds like a bunch of p###### to me,” Charleston White snapped.

“I see why Rap-A-Lot runs that s###. No wonder they Mob Ties. No wonder everybody got to check in y’all. Now I’m checking in with the police department. The police department told me, ‘hey, man, you got a problem with Mr. James Prince. We don’t want no problems. The mayor’s office called and say, ‘hey, Mr. Charleston, we hear you got a problem with James Prince. Man, we scared of him.’ I swear to God, yall. I just got the call from the Houston Mayor’s office and the gang unit Police Department in Houston, Texas. They are scardified of Rap-A-Lot.”

During a heated moment, Charleston White paced around his house, still reeling from the cancellation of his appearance in Houston. He made his way to his closet, where he keeps an arsenal of guns.

With a fierce expression, Charleston grabbed a couple of them and returned to the camera, declaring that Rap-A-Lot Records didn’t run “a damn thing” in Dallas and that he wouldn’t be intimidated by anyone, no matter how powerful they were.

“This what I’ll say to the Houston Police Department. Y’all can suck my d##k too. F### Houston. N#### f### Houston, Texas. I’m spending my own g###### money to come down here to talk to you poor ass dumb ass m############ Houstonians. F### Houston,” Charleston White fumed.

“F### Harris, PD. C########## pigs. Ya’ll some m############ cowards. Man, let me get my g###### guns and go to the g###### gun range. This is what I got for Rap-A-Lot Records. I got a whole bunch of g###### m############ guns for Rap-A-Lot. Man, Houston police y’all some p######,” Charleston continued.

Charleston even called Houston’s Mayor, Sylvester Turner, a homophobic slur.

“Rap-A-Lot got y’all scared in the mayor’s office. Y’all just had a f##### mayor down there in Houston, a gay mayor,” he snarled.

The latest video has undoubtedly ratcheted up the tension between Charleston and J Prince, who have already been engaged in a bitter feud for some time.

Only time will tell what the fallout of this latest episode will be, but for now, Charleston was standing his ground and refusing to back down.

Kiely Williams On Beef With Chris Brown: I Know His PR Team Is Mad

A soon-to-be-released song by Chlöe Bailey with Chris Brown ignited a firestorm this week. The Chloe x Halle vocalist’s decision to work with Brown led to a backlash, including a negative reaction by former Cheetah Girls member Kiely Williams.

Some fans of Chlöe Bailey took issue with her collaborating with Chris Brown for the “How Does It Feel” single. Critics slammed the Grown-ish actress because of Brown’s 2009 assault against his then-girlfriend Rihanna and for other abuse allegations.

“Let [Brown] come out with his own record—so genius, so captivating that it makes us all forget HE BEATS WOMEN. He can’t so he won’t. So what does he do?” tweeted Kiely Williams on Thursday night.

The Encore reality show cast member continued, “He slowly creeps back into the mainstream by getting small nods for features on Black Women’s merit. Black women who are more talented, more worthy, but give him the okay. I am swatting the f###### air [right now]. Garbage. 🤮🤮🤮.”

https://twitter.com/Kielyyyyyyyyyyy/status/1626399607348514818?s=20

Chris Brown fired back at Kiely Williams in a series of posts on his Instagram Story. The Breezy album creator even shared a clip from a 2008 episode of the Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody which featured CB and The Cheetah Girls.

“Obviously you are at a point in your life where either you are very broke or broken,” wrote Brown about Williams on Instagram. “The fact you think you have to speak negatively about me makes [you] look so lame.”

He added, “Your life and career must suck right now. Minding your business would’ve been best. But I guess you don’t have a business or a real job that makes [you] financially stable. I feel more embarrassed for you and your actual maturity.”

Kiely Williams addressed Chris Brown’s Instagram comments on her Twitter page. The 36-year-old “No More (Baby I’ma Do Right)” singer formerly of 3LW also responded to other social media users vilifying her in defense of Brown.

“I got this man TYPING today Chile. 😭😭😭😭😭,” tweeted Kiely Williams yesterday afternoon. After one person suggested that a Cheetah Girl had Chris Brown “pressed,” Williams replied, “And not even one of the famous ones 🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😭.” She later posted, “I know his PR team is mad.”

In addition, Williams pushed back on the critiques of her being a hypocrite for recently tweeting about needing to “see some mess” involving the controversial couple of Blueface and Chrisean “Rock” Malone. The Crazy in Love stars regularly trend on social media for their violent interactions.

Chris Brown also used the Blueface and Chrisean relationship as an example of his detractors’ hypocrisy. The 33-year-old Grammy winner complained about the public cherry-picking which so-called problematic celebrities should be shunned. Blueface then blasted Brown online before claiming he had no issues with the embattled entertainer.

The ceremony took place Friday (February 17), with the star being dedicated in the recording category at 7065 Hollywood Boulevard. Guests such as Chuck D, Ice Cube, Champtown, Walk of Famers Mariska Hargitay and television mogul Dick Wolf were also on hand to celebrate Ice-T.

With an extensive career spanning several decades, Ice-T’s contributions to music and film have solidified his status as a cultural icon.

The star will be situated near the stars of music greats such as Thelonius Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, Luciano Pavarotti, Mama Cass Elliott, John Denver and Herbie Hancock, to name a few.

“I never thought I would get a star. I mean, the way my life was going, it was like, what can we come up on in Hollywood and steal?” Ice-T told the crowd. “We were really out here causing real problems. And this was just out of the question. Show business was out of the question. And then Hip-Hop came and I found something that I could do.

“But what I did was I told the stories of the life I was living, and we invented a genre—well, Ice Cube co-invented this genre called gangsta rap. When I was doing it, they didn’t have a name for it. We were calling it reality rap. Then Cube came out and said “Straight outta Compton/Crazy m########### named Ice Cube/From the gang called N##### with Attitudes. And the press said, ‘Oh, well, that’s gangster rap. But then I had to follow up Cube like, ‘OK, well then I’m the Original Gangster g########. Let’s go.”

Ice-T’s contributions to the music industry stretch back decades.

He’s widely recognized as the original embodiment of Los Angeles Hip-Hop and a cultural icon for his influential contributions to the development of gangster rap.

His 1987 hit “6 ‘N the Mornin'” is often credited as the first gangster rap song, and he’s continued to influence the genre with the formation of Rhyme Syndicate Records in 1989 and albums such as Rhyme PaysPowerThe Iceberg/Freedom of Speech… Just Watch What You Say! Original Gangsta and others.

“Fortunately for L.A. Hip-Hop, everybody has always been on the same page,” he said. “There’s never really been an L.A. beef. The only beef that ever happened in L.A. Hip-Hop was a family feud between N.W.A and everybody stepped back and let them do they thing.

“As far as outside of that, it never happened. So what I did was I said, You know what, there’s so many groups in L.A. let me figure a way to keep everybody from fighting. And I formed The Syndicate. I was modeling it off of Lucky Luciano’s Commission, where he took the five mob families and said before we fight, we talk. So I said, All you different rap groups, you guys are all leaders. But we’re going to organize, and before we have a problem, we will sit down, and we will talk.’ And with The Syndicate, we never had one beef in L.A. between rappers. I think that deserves a round of applause.”

Ice-T went on to form the thrash metal band Body Count with guitarist Ernie C. The band’s 1992 self-titled debut album contained the controversial single “Cop Killer,” which set off a nationwide debut about censorship in music.

In addition to his successful music career, Ice-T has also had a versatile acting career. He has featured or starred in several movies, including Breakin’, New Jack City, Ricochet and Trespass.

Ice-T is also well-known for his role as Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

In addition to his acting work, Ice-T has produced and directed several independent and documentary films, including his directorial debut in 2012, Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap and Iceberg Slim: Portrait of a Pimp, which he produced the same year.

He has also made guest appearances on popular T.V. shows such as Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Saturday Night Live. His ability to seamlessly transition between music and acting is a testament to his talent and versatility.

Ice-T’s message and impact go beyond just music and film. Over the years, he’s become an influential spokesman for America’s youth through his music, books and lecture tours.

Blueface Tells Chris Brown To Not Drag Rapper Into Domestic Abuse Discussion: “You Gotta Stand On It”

Blueface responded to a comment made by Chris Brown amid the backlash to the singer’s collaboration with Chloe Bailey.

Chris Brown’s history of domestic violence became a topic of conversation on social media, which led to him complaining about unfair treatment. He cited Blueface and Chrisean Rock’s abusive relationship in an attempt to defend himself. Blueface reacted to his name being mentioned on Friday (February 17).

“I understand the frustration, fool,” the rapper said in an Instagram Stories video. “Ya know, from me being in the situation. I’m not even going to trip on you ‘cause the message you trying to send is way off. I get it. B#### hit me, it’s funny. I hit her back, it’s f### Blueface. So, I totally get it. That’ll be the most irritating thing ever. But you gotta play the cards that you was dealt.”

Blueface criticized Chris Brown for trying to find a scapegoat. The reality TV star felt it was “corny” to point blame at others.

“You on some ‘But they did it too! Why aren’t you guys telling them anything?’ type s###,” Blueface said. “It’s like bro, life don’t work like that, man. If we all go do a crime together, we all not gon’ get the same time together. You might get the most amount of time. We might not all say nothing. But we all went and did the crime, so we gotta take the time.”

He continued, “You on some, ‘You guys are going to give me the most time, but they did it too. Like judge, sentence them!’ We ain’t got nothing to do with that, bro. Handle your candle. Deal with your situation how you deal with it. Only thing I disagree with is you posting all these random white people and me and the b#### and trying to like distract from your thing. You gotta stand on it, cuz. If you beat the b#### up, s###, you beat the b#### up.”

Blueface concluded his video with a distasteful remark suggesting Chris Brown abused someone too famous. The controversial singer pleaded guilty to felony assault for attacking Rihanna in 2009.

“And my last opinion is, cuz, you beat up the wrong b####,” Blueface said. “You got a bad judge. We didn’t all get the same judge, cuz, on God. I got a b####, she gon’ fight back, so I’ma get less time. You beat up the wrong b####. You beat up the b#### that just performed at the Super Bowl.”

Trick Daddy Ridicules Uncle Murda In Wild Rant About Annual “Rap Up” Recap

Trick Daddy isn’t a fan of Uncle Murda’s “Rap Up” songs.

The Miami native called out Uncle Murda on an episode of the cooking show I Got My Pots. Trick Daddy berated Uncle Murda, taking issue with the Brooklyn-bred rapper’s annual “Rap Up” releases.

“Viral is something that you do accidentally,” Trick Daddy said. “Anybody that tries to go viral, you considered to me as a clown. You a joke, you a fool, you a gimmick, you a fraud … The number one clown for the last five years is Uncle Murda. You a clown, boy.”

He continued, “You take people’s unfortunate disasters, you take people’s downward spirals in life, you take the things that people go through within that year, you sit there for that whole year ‘cause you ain’t got nothing else to do. And you sit there, you take everything that person went through and you put it in a song every year. You ain’t got nothing else better to do. That’s clown s###, boy.”

Uncle Murda labeled Trick Daddy a “cokehead” in the “Rap Up 2021.” Trick Daddy claimed his gripe was about more than one diss.

“You said my name, and I didn’t say nothing about it because I didn’t want this to be about me,” he said. “This not about me. This is about everybody that feel like they don’t have the voice to say something to you. I’m gonna say something to you. And I stand on what I said.”

Trick Daddy added, “I’m not worrying about no backlash off nothing I say to you, boy. You a clown! And I’m standing on this, 10 toes down … Find you something else to do. You wanna make some money? Find you something else to do. Don’t take people’s misfortune, people’s downside, the bad things that happen in people’s lives and make a song off it every year.”

Watch Trick Daddy’s rant below. The Uncle Murda talk begins around the 13-minute mark.

New Single “Mr. Nice Guy” Only The Beginning For J Young MDK

J Young MDK is “Mr. Nice Guy,” and his new single with that name was released in perfect timing with Valentine’s Day being this month. The song is a bop in itself, reminding audiences all around the world that men are worthy too, and can stand their ground in relationships just as females do.

Born in Fresno but based in Atlanta, J Young MDK is the definition of a multi-hyphenate. From rapping to singing to songwriting to acting to even directing, J Young MDK is constantly working, creating, and living life to the fullest.

J Young MDK has been creating buzz in the industry since 2019 when he released his solo album titled Now Or Never, executive produced by the legendary Jamie Foxx. Since then, he’s also been diving into the film world, most known for his role as Hussein Fatal in the Tupac biopic, All Eyez on Me.

AllHipHop spoke with J Young MDK in downtown Los Angeles, hours before his headlining show at Adults Only in Hollywood.

AllHipHop: Talk about your show tonight at Adults Only. How are you feeling?

J Young MDK: First of all, I love love love L.A. Every time I’m in LA, it’s the best city. The best vibe. California in the whole, just in general, it’s Cali! But the one thing I wasn’t expecting was it to be cold. I wasn’t expecting that, I got this jacket on today. But besides that, what? The vibes!

AllHipHop: How cold is it in Atlanta right now?

J Young MDK: Well, I was in New York. This is hot compared to that, but I thought I was gonna get here and have a t-shirt on. Nope, bring your jacket out. [laughs]

AllHipHop: You have “Mr. Nice Guy” going crazy. What inspired that record?

J Young MDK: You know, you’ve been in those relationships before? A lot of times, it gets told on the women’s side. But I know on the men’s side too, sometimes you get tired of somebody’s s###. You’re trying to be good, you’re trying to do certain things or whatever. It’s a song about feeling unappreciated. It’s no more Mr. Nice Guy, go f### with somebody else, I’m over this b.s., we get tired of that s### too.

AllHipHop: Do nice guys finish last though?

J Young MDK: Hell yeah, always. Don’t they? What do you think?

AllHipHop: I’m a believer in karma, so if you put good into the world, you get good back.

J Young MDK: I agree with that. I’m just saying, some people take nice guys for granted. Or kindness for weakness, whatever you want to call it. That’s when I will say we finish last.

AllHipHop: Did a certain female inspire the record?

J Young MDK: A few. [laughs] It was a collective, but at the same time, it’s still contradictory. When you listen to the song, it’s a ‘I’m talking s###, but I still want you back’ type of thing. Because sometimes we don’t know what we want. Sometimes we want you to be nice, then sometimes you’re too nice. We want some drama. Sometimes you like toxicity, sometimes you don’t. It just depends.

AllHipHop: Talk about doing the movie, Lola.

J Young MDK: Shout to Monica Floyd, who is a dope producer over the movie. She’s the person that got me involved with it. It’s a boxing movie, it’s part two. Lola part 1 is out. I’m excited to be a part of it, it’s a super dope project. It’ll be coming out, I want to say April? So I’m excited about that.

AllHipHop: What other projects can we look forward to?

J Young MDK: Right now I got Mr. Nice Guy out. We also got the Dayshift movie soundtrack song with me, Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg, and Sam Harmonix, that’s already out. But next, I got a record that I’ma drop with Jacquees, that’s pretty fire.

AllHipHop: I was just texting his manager! He has a show in LA on Tuesday.

J Young MDK: Damn, I leave Tuesday. I might have to push it back. I’m supposed to go to New York, and then Miami.

AllHipHop: You be jet setting! You love that?

J Young MDK: I just be going. [makes plane noise] Sometimes it’s tiring, but not really. I love it. I love to switch up the environment, meet with your people and just do your thing. Enjoy it, enjoy the city.

AllHipHop: How’d you and Jacquees tap in?

J Young MDK: Well, Jacquees is from Atlanta of course. How do we tap in? It’s crazy, because we had a lot of mutual people. I had the record called “Vibe With Me.” I already released a record, I thought damn, I want to do a remix. Who could I put on it that’s hot with R&B. I like Tory [Lanez] too, then all that other stuff happened. I’m like damn! ‘Cause that’s my guy, musically. I don’t know him personally.

Who else is a super dope, that could sing? Jacquees. Alright, let’s go get Jacquees on it. Reached out to his team, reached out to his people and they agreed to do it. Went to the studio, knocked it out. It’s crazy, he went in. He went crazy.

AllHipHop: I saw you talk to students for Black History Month. How was that?

J Young MDK: That was great. Especially, just all minorities, period. A lot of times, we’re underprivileged and underserved. We have role models, but it’s not a million people we could look up to. I’m not saying I’m a role model, but I wish I had somebody when I was younger. Just come and talk to me about different things like “yo, you don’t gotta be a rapper. You don’t gotta be an NFL player.” When I was growing up, that’s all we knew. You’re either going to play basketball, football, or sell drugs. Either one.

But it’s cool to be able to talk to kids. These kids, the careers that they say they want, it was ridiculous. Damn, I don’t even know about that! They know what they want, it’s crazy. They really knew what they wanted, and they knew what it takes to get it. That inspired me at the same time. This little 13-year-old, 14-year-old, 15-year-old knows what they want, and they’re going for it? That’s crazy. That’s great.

AllHipHop: What can we look forward to next?

J Young MDK: More music. More film stuff, just entertainment in general. More entrepreneurship moves. Opening a lot of things, I got a food truck that I’m opening in Atlanta. It’s gonna be burgers, we’re going to have vegan burgers. It’s outta here.

AllHipHop: What about music-wise?

J Young MDK: Music-wise, working on the album called Forever Young. Still seeing who I’m gonna get more features involved. Got Jacquees on that one, already did the record with Foxx and Snoop. Who else? RMR, we got a dope record. Working on that, I’m definitely gonna be on another tour at some point this year. Last year, we went on tour with Latto.

AllHipHop: What was the highlight from Latto’s tour?

J Young MDK: There were a lot of them. That was my first full tour. I’ve been on tours before where I did two or three dates, or five days. But that was my first, from A to Z tour. Did 30-something venues in the whole United States, so that was super dope. That was a highlight. I mean, look at Latto now. She was already big, but damn. From there, it catapulted her. It catapulted everyone, super dope.

Keep up with him at @jyoungmdk

Chris Brown Calls Kiely Williams “Miss Amtrak” As Singer Fights Backlash To Abuse

Chris Brown raged over the backlash to his collaboration with Chloe Bailey.

The controversial singer mocked 3LW’s Kiely Williams, who was one of the many social media users mentioning his history of domestic abuse. Chris Brown referred to her as “Miss Amtrak” in one Instagram comment, referencing her claim that she had sex with multiple members of B2K at the same time.

“Obviously you are at a point in your life where either you are very broke or broken,” he wrote on Instagram Stories. “The fact you think you have to speak negatively about me makes u look so lame… Your life and career must suck right now. Minding your business would’ve been best. But I guess you don’t have a business or a real job that makes u financially stable. I feel more embarrassed for you and your actual maturity.”

Chris Brown continued to rant online, attempting to downplay his past domestic violence. He claimed he made a mistake when was 17 years old despite the fact he assaulted Rihanna when he was 19 years old. He pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault in 2009.

“If y’all still hate me for a mistake I made as a 17 year old please kiss my whole entire ass!” he wrote. “I’m f###### 33! I’m so tired of y’all running with this narrative. You weird ass n##### are the same ones that tune in every week to see Blueface and Chrisean beat the f### out each other in front of the world. But that’s OK? It’s entertainment? All y’all can suck my dick, disrespectfully.”

Chris Brown also complained about the criticism he faced compared to white artists. He posted multiple photos of white celebrities who were arrested for domestic violence.

“Where are the cancel culture with these white artist that date underage women, beat the f### out their wives, giving b###### AIDS,” he wrote. “Oh. That’s right. They are your buddies. No more fake love from me. Stay out my way or get ran over simple as that! None of you and I mean none of you n##### can f### wit me.”
