Singer and reality star Ray J is usually the star of the show, bringing his fans high-octane moments and laughs for days.
However, Brandy’s little brother was not in a funny mood, sharing on social media multiple statements that could be seen as suicidal.
On Thursday night, the artist said he was thinking about what would happen if he were to “die,” and questioning his existence.
One caption read, “If it wasn’t 4 my Kidz I would jump off and die tonight.”
Another was an image of his feet with him saying, “SHOULD I JUST JUMP off and end it rit. Now!!! ????”
He posted a series of videos and statements that said, “trying to figure it out — maybe this life was a illusion— maybe the next life was my real reality.”
Ray J has been under a great deal of stress, including dealing with a divorce from his children’s mother, Princess Love, and the sex tape scandal with The Jenner-Kardashian clan.
As reported by AllHipHop.com, Ray J was upset that Kris Jenner took a lie detector test, saying she did not have anything to do with the leak of the sex tape between him and her daughter Kim Kardashian.
Chicago-bred rapper G Herbo became a Twitter trending topic today (October 7) following the release of his latest body of work. He let loose Survivor’s Remorse: A Side at midnight on the East Coast.
The 12-track album features contributions by Jeremih, Offset, Future, Benny The Butcher, and Gunna. Another edition of G Herbo’s Survivor’s Remorse will hit DSPs in the near future.
Eddie Francis spoke to Herbo for Apple Music 1’s New Music Daily. The conversation included a tease for when the rhymer’s followers can expect the second part of Survivor’s Remorse.
THIS 4 WHOEVER TRIED TO COUNT ME OUT! THIS 4 EVERYTHING & EVERYBODY I LOST! THIS 4 EVERYTHING OUT THERE FOR ME TO GAIN!! IM WHAT THE GAME BEEN MISSING! SURVIVOR’S REMORSE A SIDE OUT NOW!!!! I CAN NEVER LOSE I STARTED OFF WITH NOTHING ❤️🩹https://t.co/NIUvxOvQc4pic.twitter.com/aRm9tKwJy8
“October 10th. That’s Monday. So we [are] out tonight at midnight, side A drops. At midnight, Side A drops 10/7. And B Side, 10/10,” G Herbo told Eddie Francis. “Like I said, I wanted to give fans a little time to live with it. So they got the whole weekend to digest the music.”
The Machine Entertainment Group representative also stated, “And s###, I’m excited, bro. I know my fans are excited. And like I said, it’s been a long journey, bro. So I’m just happy to be here and I want to keep the momentum going, most importantly.”
G Herbo partnered with YSL recording artist Gunna for “Shordie” off Survivor’s Remorse: A Side. At the moment, Gunna is presently behind bars awaiting a RICO trial in the state of Georgia. Herbo spoke about his relationship with the Atlanta native.
“I’ll be checking in third party on [Gunna] and [Young Thug], just reaching out and sending my love. I know when you’re in that type of situation it’s really overwhelming,” offered G Herbo. So it’s just really trying to send positive energy and love to them because they’re my brothers for real. Not on no music, on a personal level, those are two people that I really care about.”
Herbo added, “Yeah. I need to make sure I’ve got Slime on the album, Gunna on the album. Those are relationships that I cultivated and the music just happened naturally. We really hang out and don’t have nothing to do with no music. So, we get in the studio and record music, it’s like that’s just a bonus. I appreciate the friendship more than anything.”
Survivor’s Remorse: A Side joins a G Herbo album catalog that already contained 2017’s Humble Beast, 2018’s Swervo, 2019’s Still Swervin, 2020’s PTSD, and 2021’s 25. The 26-year-old entertainer has also dropped several mixtapes such as 2014’s Welcome to Fazoland and 2015’s Ballin Like I’m Kobe.
Many Hip Hop fans consider The Game one of the top artists to emerge from the musical family tree of legendary producer Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment. In 2006, The Game even released an album titled Doctor’s Advocate.
Dr. Dre also executive produced The Game’s debut studio LP, The Documentary. That project includes Dre being credited as a music producer on several tracks, including “How We Do” featuring 50 Cent.
In an interview with Uproxx’s Fresh Pair, The Game went into further detail about his history with Dr. Dre. The Drillmatic – Heart vs. Mindalbum creator claimed his former mentor was not as directly involved with his music as some listeners may think.
“Dre didn’t do any beats on The Documentary. But I didn’t say he didn’t oversee it,” said The Game. “You want Dre to oversee anything because he’s a mastermind when it comes to that. But as far as doing a beat for The Documentary? No, and I’ve never had a Dre beat in my career.”
The official credits for The Documentary album list Dr. Dre as a producer or co-producer on seven of the eighteen tracks. However, The Game suggested other producers were actually behind the beats that made it onto the project.
“A bunch of dope producers that Dre had under him or whoever – Scott Storch, the Just Blazes, the Swizz Beatzs, the Timbalands – helped me put together my classic album,” stated The Game.
The 42-year-old emcee added, “I can’t give Dre credit for the Just Blaze beat. It’s a Dr. Dre executive-produced album, but people just don’t understand the underlinings and how the business works.”
Game also pointed out that he has never had an official collaboration or music video with Dr. Dre. He then named some of the times he worked with producer/rapper Kanye West. Recently, The Game and Ye teamed up for “Eazy” off 2022’s Drillmatic.
The timing of YG releasing his music video for “How To Rob A Rapper” caused some music fans to question the West Coaster’s motive. The visuals dropped three weeks after a gunman killed PnB Rock during a robbery in Los Angeles.
“Catch a n#### lacking, he slacking on IG Live. He gon show his whereabouts on accident, he be high. He gon show the jewels he wearing and the car that he drives. Stupid n#### showed the same location three times,” raps YG on “How To Rob A Rapper.”
Those lyrics by YG appeared to echo many of the criticisms directed at PnB Rock’s girlfriend at the time of his death. Even celebrities, such as Kodak Black, slammed Stephanie Sibounheuang for posting the couple’s public location on the day of the shooting.
YG insists “How To Rob A Rapper” was not a commentary on the murder of PnB Rock. The I Got Issues album creator stopped by the L.A. Leakers radio show, and he addressed the controversy surrounding the track.
“I gotta say this. ‘How To Rob A Rapper’ ain’t no a diss. It’s just a message to these rappers, ‘Please, be on your s###,'” said YG during his L.A. Leakers freestyle on Power 106.
The Compton native rhymed over Nipsey Hussle’s “Hussle In The House” from 2009. Hussle also lost his life in the Los Angeles area due to gun violence. YG ended his freestyle by saying, “Long live Nip Hussle. Long live Slim 400.”
Last month, the NFL announced Rihanna will headline the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show. While many fans of the music superstar rejoiced, Dan Patrick would have preferred another act to take the stage on February 12, 2023.
The Domenick Nati Showrecently spoke to Dan Patrick about the upcoming mid-game concert. The former SportsCenter anchor had Country/Pop singer Taylor Swift as his first choice for a performer over Rihanna.
“I would’ve chosen Taylor Swift, but Taylor says that she’s gotta wait ’til she re-records all of her albums,” said Dan Patrick. “I would’ve been curious who she would’ve brought in.”
The radio personality continued, “Rihanna hasn’t done anything, really. Not that much. She’s more of a fashion icon now.” The 34-year-old billionaire founded the Fenty fashion house in 2017.
Rihanna Is One Of The Most Successful Recording Artists Of The Last 20 Years
Rihanna has 14 songs that have reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in the United States. That total puts her in fourth place on the all-time list of most Number Ones. The 9-time Grammy winner only trails The Beatles (20), Mariah Carey (19), and Elvis Presley (18).
In addition, each of Rihanna’s eight studio LPs earned at least Platinum certification from the RIAA. 2007’s Good Girl Gone Bad is 6x-Platinum. Her 2016 album, Anti, has charted on the Billboard 200 for over 300 weeks.
Roc Nation will produce the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. The company’s founder, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, helped break Rihanna as a music star. Jay-Z shared his thoughts on his musical protégé serving as the Super Bowl LVII headliner.
“Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn. A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment,” expressed Jay-Z.
Lord Biz is an artist/songwriter from Canarsie, Brooklyn, New York. From a child, Lord Biz would recite music, and write it down so it would stick with him for years. Around the age of 13,14 years old, he started taking himself seriously. Lord Biz at such a young age started really putting songs together, learning how to come up with hooks and flows on his own. Now he has the talent to immediately have multiple different flows ready for any beat.
When did your passion start for creating music?
“I’ve always had a passion for rapping before I had it. I close my eyes and imagine” the GOOD LIFE. Doing this to Create timeless music, and to change my environment and surroundings for me and my team. Put BTP on the map. BTP stands for BEHIND THE PARK, also used as the acronym for my debut mixtape “BUILT TO PROSPER” released on my birthday November 7th 2021.”
Fat Joe says despite experiencing the murder of close friends, the killing of PnB Rock affected him differently due to the callous nature of the crime. He opened up about the death of PnB, who he met “a bunch” of times, during an episode of the PEOPLE Every Day podcast.
“Every time a rapper is killed, it hurts me,” Fat Joe explained to host Janine Rubenstein. “But that one really changed my life because they murdered the guy in a public restaurant in front of his [family]. If they do that, they’re willing to do anything. And it’s just so sad, man.”
The Hip-Hop community was rocked when the Philly rapper was fatally shot during a robbery at an L.A. Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles on Sept. 12. Authorities arrested three suspects, including a father and son who prosecutors say robbed the rapper for his expensive jewelry. They are also seeking a fourth unidentified suspect they saw was also involved in the murder.
Fat Joe Says PnB’s Death Is “Traumatizing For The Whole Community”
“That just touched me so much cuz I’m just like, imagine I was in that restaurant with my daughter just eating … it’s just traumatizing for the whole community,” Fat Joe said. “And it touched me in a different way and I’ve had friends murdered and everything. This last one, it was just like, it was just, all right, I get it. You don’t care. You don’t care. You’ll do it anywhere. Yeah. You know, and it, it is just so sad, man. He didn’t deserve to get murdered.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Fat Joe urged artists to ensure they’re protected at all times and advised hiring professional security. Listen to the full interview here.
Meanwhile, fresh off the back of his BET Hip-Hop awards hosting gig last week (Oct. 4), Joey Crack is readying for his one-man theater show. The famed storyteller will tell the tale of his own life at the show at the Apollo Theater on Nov. 15.
Before Quavo and Takeoff delivered their debut collaborative album Only Built for Infinity Links on Friday (Oct. 7), one song had the internet in a frenzy.
The new duo shared the track “Messy,” on Friday, hours ahead of the project’s release. Fans began immediately speculating that Quavo was dishing the dirt about his relationship with his ex. Specifically, the rumors that Saweetie was sleeping with Offset behind his back.
“I said, ‘Caresha please’ ’cause she too messy,” Quavo raps. Fans think this refers to Saweetie’s recent appearance on Yung Miami’s new show. “B#### f### my dawg behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’/ You wanted the gang, you shoulda just said it, we would have blessed it/ Now s### got messy.”
While Quavo didn’t mention his ex-girlfriend, fans were convinced he was confirming the rumors she cheated with the Migos member.
Back in August, during an online back and forth, Cardi B denied rumors her husband, Offset, slept with Saweetie. “No baby you lying!” Cardi responded to a fan who said, “Offset f##### Saweetie!”
“You makin crazy lies starting s### and putting female rappers in it WIT NO RECEIPTS,” Cardi continued. “No blog ever spoke on this all of a sudden you come out of jail 5 days ago and you made up lied for 2 hours wit NO RECEIPTS!”
Though Saweetie remained silent about the rumors, she did open up about her relationship with Quavo during her chat with Yung Miami last month. “I thought we was gon spend the rest of our lives together,” she explained. “With him, I knew it was the one. It was different.”
Meanwhile, the new Unc and Phew pairing showed love to their fans for supporting the project. “Thank Y’all For Believing In Us!!,” Quavo penned. Stream the album below.
Right Said Fred are the latest act to complain about Beyoncé using samples or interpolations of their best loved songs on her Renaissance album.
Brothers Fred and Richard Fairbrass are unhappy that the superstar songstress didn’t ask them before interpolating their 1991 hit song “I’m Too Sexy” on “Alien Superstar.”
“Normally the artist approaches us but Beyoncé didn’t because she is such an arrogant person,” Right Said Fred told U.K. tabloid The Sun. “She just had probably thought ‘come and get me,’ so we heard about it after the fact, when you did.”
They went on to state that unlike Beyoncé, “everyone else,” including Drake and Taylor Swift “came to us.” Drizzy’s 2021 hit with Future and Young Thug “Way 2 Sexy,” uses the song. Taylor Swift used the track on her 2017 single “Look What You Made Me Do.”
The duo has no plans to pursue legal action saying, “We cant stop it. There is nothing we can do. It is s###.”
When a Twitter user suggest they might file a lawsuit, Right Said Fred again denied they would do so. “We’re delighted Beyoncé is using our melody,” they said. “A simple ‘please’ or ‘may I’ would have been nice.

Kanye West has dragged Lizzo into his latest controversies, claiming that the Grammy Award-winning singer is being used as an instrument to promote “the genocide of the Black race.”
The DONDA rapper made the comments during an interview with Fox News for Thursday’s edition of Tucker Carlson Tonight. He said the media uses the comments section of her social media posts to discourage Lizzo to lose weight as part of a “demonic” plot.
“When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots – that’s a term for – it’s like telemarketer callers, like on Instagram, they attack her for losing weight,” Kanye West began. “Because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it’s actually unhealthy.”
He went on to claim bodies like Lizzo’s are not “fashion” and called promoting a message of body positivity evil.
“Let’s get aside from the fact whether it’s fashion and vogue, which it’s not – or if someone thinks it’s attractive, to each his own. It’s actually clinically unhealthy. And for people to promote that, it’s demonic,” Ye added.
When Carlson agreed and asked Kanye why it’s happening, he replied, “It’s the genocide of the Black race. They want to kill us in any way they can. Planned Parenthood was made by Margaret S#####, a known eugenist, with the KKK.”
Kanye West also discussed a number of other topics during the in depth interview. He elaborated on his pro-life stance and his support for former President Donald Trump. His controversial “White Lives Matter” designs and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian were also on the agenda.
Check out his comments on Lizzo in the clip below and the full interview at the end of the page.

Criterion Games and Electronic Arts released a trailer for the Need for Speed Unbound video game, which features A$AP Rocky.
According to IGN, A$AP Rocky will appear as a character in the game. The A$AP Mob member serves as the leader in a mode called Takeover Scene.
“I mean A$AP’s kind of a trendsetter in both fashion and music, and he’s also a bit of a rebel, and that is kind of part of the Need for Speed vibe,” Criterion’s creative director Kieran Crimmins told IGN. “So, it totally made sense to put him in the game and have a game mode that represented what he was about and also give a cool event for players to play as well.”
Need for Speed Unbound also includes a new A$AP Rocky song titled “Shittin Me.” A snippet of the track can be heard in the game’s trailer.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse of A$AP Rocky in the game. The video provides a sample of his voice acting.
Need for Speed Unbound is scheduled to drop on December 2. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

This dude Kanye West is something to behold. He once rapped, “Don’t do no press but get the most press.” Well, he was correct in that assertion. However, at this point, that is not a good thing. That’s a terrible thing, actually. He’s looking crazier and crazier by the day. This time, he goes in on A$AP Rocky and may mess-up his relationship with Rihanna.
As you know, RiRi and ASAP have consummated their love in the form of a baby. And they did not break up over rumors or a shooting that he allegedly partook in. BUT…Kanye West has put a new rumor on front street. Back in April there was a rumor that A$AP had an affair with Amina Muaddi, who is a fashion designer. Those proved to be false but somebody – I think Rocky shot that down. Anyway, thanks to Ye, ASAP is back in the rumors on some cheating ish.
Here is what he said:
Soooooooooooooo…what the hell is a Yoon!? A lot of people were asking the question, but I now have the answer. Yoon is yet another fashion designer that, according to Kanye, had an affair with the Harlem rapper.
Why would he do that to ASAP? I don’t know about this guy anymore. He’s alright but he’s not real. I cannot imagine the misery he met be in to try to destroy somebody else’s happy home.
Many moons ago, Yoon starred in a video by the rap don. Check it out.
So, maybe this is the way that Kanye gets back at people, being a rat
Kanye West buddied up with right-wing pundit Tucker Carlson in wake of the “White Lives Matter” shirt controversy.
The Fox News host visited Kanye West’s new office and tried on 3D-printed boots. ‘Ye shared footage of Tucker Carlson interacting with Yeezy employees on Thursday (October 6).
“TUCKER CARLSON STOPPED BY THE NEW YEEZY OFFICE FUN GOD IS GOOD,” ‘Ye wrote via Instagram.
Kanye West’s association with Tucker Carlson may have shocked people in the past, but it wasn’t a surprising development in 2022. ‘Ye already supported Donald Trump and Candace Owens, finding allies in right-wing figures pushing extremist ideas.
Earlier this year, the New York Times published a detailed report about Tucker Carlson and his nightly show. Investigative reporter Nicholas Confessore said Tucker Carlson Tonight “may be the most racist show in the history of cable news — and also, by some measures, the most successful.”
Kanye West faced backlash after unveiling “White Lives Matter” shirts at Paris Fashion Week on Monday (October 3). He was seen wearing the shirt alongside Candace Owens.
‘Ye defended the “White Lives Matter” slogan in response to heavy criticism. Kanye West also started beefing with LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault and other members of the fashion industry.
Drake was unexpectedly dragged into Kanye West’s beef with LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault and various members of the fashion world.
Kanye West continued ranting about the LVMH CEO and others in a series of Instagram posts on Thursday (October 6). ‘Ye mentioned Drake in a post aimed at Bernard Arnault.
“Drake A F### YA BABY MAMA’S MAMA,” Kanye West wrote. “THAT’S REAL WAR.”
He added in the caption, “Bernard Arnault weak.”
‘Ye brought up Drake’s name after praising the OVO rapper on social media. Kanye West referenced their past feud and expressed his appreciation for Drake.
“EVERYONE KNOWS ME AND DRAKE HAVE HAD A RIVALRY IN THE PAST,” he wrote. “IT REALLY WARMED MY HEART TO SEE DRAKE LIKE ONE OF MY POST WE STILL NEED THE DONDA TEAM TO PLAY NOCTA ALL DRAKE MUSIC WILL BE PLAYED AT DONDA GAMES MOVING FORWARD.”
Kanye West shared the kind words amid vitriolic posts targeting Bernard Arnault and the fashion industry. ‘Ye lambasted Supreme creative director Tremaine Emory, who spoke out in wake of Yeezy’s “White Lives Matter” shirt controversy.
“AND TO TREMAINE I’M CHANGING YOUR NAME FOREEEEEVVVVVRRRRR,” ‘Ye wrote. “TREMAINE’S NEW NAME AS THE BLM OFFICER AT SUPREME ISSSS TREMENDEZ. NO RELATIONSHIP TO SEAN MENDEZ OF EVA MENDEZ FOR CLARITY BECAUSE LATINO’S BELIEVE IN GOD.”
Kanye West continued, “COMPANIES DON’T HIRE CREATIVE DIRECTORS THEY HIRE BLM OFFICERS. FOR ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HATE YOU AND YOUR WEAK ASS PANTS AND KNOW YOU ONLY GOT THE JOB SINCE YOU WERE BLACK AND YOU USED TO WORK FOR ME AND YOU KNEW VIRGIL.”

There is a throwback quality to Boston-based lyricist Kado whose name means “gift” in his native language, Haitian Creole. He embodies a revolutionary and emotionally raw spirit reminiscent of the Golden Age of hip-hop; aggressiveness mixed with deep introspection. However, the emerging underground MC, the byproduct of systemic racism, violence, and poverty, was heavily influenced by trap music (Gucci, Jeezy, T.I., Boosie, ZRo, Playa Fly). This versatility is a testament to his superpower – being able to articulate his experiences into words without creative compromise.
At 32 years old, Kado has spent one-third of his existence behind bars yet his passion for rap has never wavered; if anything, it has intensified. The evidence can be found in his latest body of work, Never Lost A Gun Fight (Allegedly). Artfully executed, Kado’s 11th release is a tightly-wrapped 14-song tracklist with varied moods and masterfully narrated by Charlie Masheen who shines seamlessly.
The title single is cathartic ghetto gospel that opens with Masheen’s thought-provoking spoken word laying the energetic groundwork for Kado to spit his soul-baring truths over a sparse soundscape. On records like “Gratitude,” “Dead Person” and “9 And A Nina,” there’s a soulful rap&b vibe as the MC flawlessly flows atop melodic basslines, while cuts like “Boolin In The Kut” and “Bring Your Skale” find Kado showcasing his ability for cinematic storytelling.
Each track is thorough enough to stand on its own yet as a whole, Never Lost A Gun Fight (Allegedly) is a brick-laced bar-for-bar symphony of cohesive hood poetry. It took over a decade of growth; highs and lows, lock-ups and freedom, death, and life for Kado to produce the autobiographical content found in the project. From subject matter ranging from legal woes and street politics to relationship struggles and spiritual breakthroughs, Kado’s young OG reputation was earned. “I don’t rap, I make my life rhyme,” says Kado about why he makes music.
Over the last few months, Kado has managed to drop back-to-back music videos for tracks from Never Lost A Gunfight (Allegedly), all while being confined to house arrest. The ability to hone in on the art and focus is seen in the outcome of the visuals; they don’t follow conventional scripts. In the video for the single “Dededede,” the dynamic rapper shows himself as somewhat of a bibliophile as the camera pans across his bedroom bookshelf showcasing the works of literary icons like Toni Morrison, Octavia Butler, and Zora Neale Hurston. This collection of female authors might seem somewhat of an anomaly for a gang member currently out on bail while awaiting trial for a gun charge (allegedly), but Kado is a rare breed.
On the strength of personal and professional respect, multi-Grammy-winning artist Malik Yusef introduced Kado to Roc Nation artist Vic Mensa when he was on the 4:44 Tour with Jay Z in 2017. The connection proved to be mutually invaluable. “Kado is one of the most talented lyricists I know,” says Mensa. “The elite level of his wordplay is probably only trumped by the gravity of his story, which is literally breathtaking; born in federal prison, it’s a miracle he’s still alive and has been able to transmute his pain into passion.
Kado really held me down in some tough times when I had a lot of people out for me, but it wasn’t until 2021 when he was locked up facing a life that our relationship became what it is today. In those 8-9 months, I sent him nearly 40 books ranging from James Baldwin to Eckhart Tolle and saw this miraculous transformation take place in him as he really began to harness his innate power to build, as opposed to destroying. A lot of these verses he spit for me when he was doing his time and it always gave me the inspiration to go harder.”
Known as the Godfather of New England, Kado has a head for entrepreneurship and a heart for service. The strategic businessman has a portfolio of investments alongside his astute partner Alabama Jones that encompass a barbershop, hair salon, clothing store, studio, and art gallery. Living up to the meaning of his name, Kado is truly a gift. A marginalized outsider who became an insider against all odds, including a 20-year history within the criminal justice system, the intelligent artist doesn’t know what his future holds. However, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and creatively speaking, he’s free.
Kanye West has ranted about Justin Bieber and John Legend in his latest social media tirade.
Earlier this week, the “Stronger” rapper hit headlines when he wore a “White Lives Matter” shirt to his Yeezy fashion show in Paris, and the following day, he sparked controversy again when he publicly criticized fashion editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson.
Kanye returned to Instagram to call out celebrities, including Justin’s wife Hailey Bieber, who spoke out about his behavior.
“I wanna just let everybody know there was also some fashion this week also,” he wrote. “There was a major thing called Fashion Week which really last a month and there were some very well done crazy overpriced clothes being shown..
“Beuase you’re all f**king programmed sheep. Aaaaaaaaand those boots Gab was wearing were f###### traaaaaaaaaaash (sic),” the 45-year-old continued, referring to the Timberland boots Gabriella wore to a fashion week show. “But I’m sure John Legend still wants a pair. And Justin get your girl before I get mad.”
In addition, Kanye posted a screenshot of an article about Hailey calling him out over his treatment of Gabriella and added: “Wait Am I canceled again??? Justin please let me know.”
He also attempted to justify his White Lives Matter T-shirt by calling it “paradigm shifting.”
White Lives Matter is a white supremacist phrase that originated as a racist response to the Black Lives Matter civil rights movement.
“Just kidding. My tee s### on everybody’s showssss. Nothing happened but my T-shirt. To the Arnaults that hire anybody that worked for me, remember my one T-shirt took allllll the attention,” he added, lashing out at Louis Vuitton executive Bernard Arnault.
As a fan of Hip-Hop music, you need a method to listen to your favorite songs. In 2002, Georgia native William Siveter, discovered his preferred device for listening. And that device was the Apple iPod.
In the following years, Siveter became a fanatic of Steve Jobs’ MP3 player. He relentlessly kept up with the latest limited edition devices, buying from different connections around the US via the internet. Even buying doubles when possible.
As Apple discontinued the MP3 player this year, it sent prices for early generations skyrocketing. Nostalgia fever swept eBay and William Siveter’s iPod collection soared in value, increasing some of his device’s values by over 100-times past the original retail price.
In this exclusive interview, Siveter details his iPod collection, venturing into Cryptocurrency with his new earnings, and knowledge of 2000s Hip-Hop. Follow his official Facebook and

Hello Mr. Siveter and thanks for taking the time with us. I’d like to start off with two basic questions. The hype around your iPod-flipping story makes me hear 50 Cent’s song “I Get Money” in my head.
So how many Apple IPods did you own before selling and what was the highest iPod of value?
William’s response:
I owned a little over 70 iPods in all. I’ve sold over 30 at this point.
The highest value of my sales — I can’t discuss this but I will say the generation 1 and the Jimi Hendrix ipods I had. They were enough to sponsor my global adventure with my wife this summer.
Keep in mind I had a mint condition Hendrix iPod and the generation ones were selling for nearly $30,000 (confirmed here). I had a couple of those. I’d def say they were my highest value. But the Hendrix price was about a collector who had a lot of crypto wealth and spotted my other interviews somehow.

That’s possibly $75,000+ in sales Am I right?
William’s response:
I’ll let you judge that. You’re smart.
#3
I get it. [laughing]
Your interest in iPods came from being a huge music fan, correct? And a big part of that was Hip-Hop and Rap?
William’s response:
Yes. I enjoy various forms of music but in the early days, I was definitely more Hip-Hop and Pop. Being from Augusta, Georgia I followed the Atlanta rap scene heavily.
#4
Atlanta had begun to put a tight grip on the rap scene then. Who were your favorite artists?
William’s response:
I was playing sports and was a gym rat as a teenager. I was in the weight room and gym heavily at this time. Crunk music was everything to the sports teams back then. I listened to more than Atlanta but where I’m from, we looked up to ‘The A’ and songs like “Damn” could turn a weight room into a zoo.
And I don’t know 2002 exactly but I remember Ying Yang Twins, Baby D, Lil Jon, Lil Scrappy, YoungBloodz, Ghetto Mafia, Outkast, Goodie Mob, Cool Breeze, Jeezy breaking out. A lot of great memories of keeping my iPod loaded with that music.
#5
Did you listen to artists from other areas as well?
William’s response:
Of course. Hip-Hop without New York wouldn’t make sense. Cam’ron and the Dip Set, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Nelly, Trick Daddy, UGK, Ice Cube, and all of these names were also in my early IPod generations.
#6
Being that there were limited edition iPod designs for people like Madonna and No Doubt, do you feel Apple should have also done one for rap legends?
William’s response:
Absolutely. Not even a question. 2Pac should’ve had an iPod design. His unrelenting voice was the epitome of free speech. Pac died in a way that didn’t put the proper value on his legacy. Death due to his keeping ties to under-served & over-oppressed communities. But still, he never stopped speaking his mind, even in the face of the most ignorant subcultures of America — Places where death is almost certain if you’re honest. His soul was incredible.
#7
Deep thoughts. And dwelling on the music a little bit. Are there any unknown artists that you kept on your iPods?
William’s response:
Yes. I actually downloaded music from Gillie The Kid’s group, Major FIggas. And was also into the group Philly’s Most Wanted. Singles like “Please Don’t Mind’ were smooth singles I really got into.
I used to keep up with a Clemson University DJ — I think he was DJ Jihad. He put me onto a South Carolina rapper named C.KHiD. He represented something pure from the South and was the first rap artist from the Carolinas, Georgia, or Alabama that I saw go viral. His singles “Won’t Stop” and “I Want This World” were big in my play.
The college years of music.
#8
I’ve only heard of Gilllie from all of those names. I’ll have to look up the others.
William’s response:
You should. The music’s always worth it.
#9
Jumping back to the Apple iPod’s collection. You sold over 30 and 3 were valued at over $60,000. Sites estimate your collection to be valued at over a quarter-million dollars. Is this accurate?
William’s response:
Yes, I’d agree. My collection of over 70 was worth well over $250k at the height of the nostalgia trend.
#10
What do you plan to do with the new found earnings? Is it true you are heavily interested in cryptocurrency
William’s response:
Yes, it’s clearly the future. I want to have a healthy investment in tokens before the final hoo-rah and prices are stabilized. Once society regulates and normalizes digital currencies, I expect the opportunity to grab profits out of today’s volatile markets will be gone.
#11
What coins are you planning to invest in?
William’s response:
I’m interested in Ethereum because of its Utility. There are many ways the token will be used.
Bitcoin will be the store of value. Globally, people will use this token to keep their physical currency a-k-a fiat money from losing value.
I’m going with the SHA token by Safe Haven because of their Inheriti and Atomic Swap technologies. Not going to over-invest, as this is riskier.
Shiba Inu, is another risk but I think their brand is so strong it’s undeniably useful. There are Millions of people who are supporting this brand and pushing to make it of higher value. The brand is worth more than its current token value.
#12
Can you explain that Bitcoin, store of value concept a bit more.
William’s response:
For example, someone from Venezuela can buy Bitcoin today with Bolivares and if the Bolivar goes down in value against the dollar, Bitcoin will still be the same value as before. The same with Pesos, Euros, Pounds, Yen, etc.
# 13
And what about this Shiba Inu token? How is the SHIB brand worth more than the current token value?
William’s response:
Just an opinion. And it’s a risk. But take Reebok for instance. The shoe is not worn as much as it was before. Sales are down. But the brand is so strong that Shaquille O’Neal bought it. Why? Because he knows the brand is of such high value, it’s all about finding the proper way to apply the name to get its value to go up.
SHIB is the same. Many Web3, NFT, and MetaVerse projects will find a way to use this token. Why? Simply to cross-promote their own project and get the SHIB audience behind it.
With one good idea, in these early stages of Cryptocurrency and Metaverse, SHIB can turn into a powerhouse overnight. A firm believer in this but it’s only an opinion and risk I’m taking for myself.
#14
That’s an understandable theory. It seems like you’ve studied cryptos a bit. Can you name off any of today’s influential rappers and Urban icons that are involved with Cryptos, for others to follow?
William’s response:
There’s a lot going on with Hip-Hop culture and cryptos. Jay-Z and Jack Dorsey have a Bitcoin foundation in Africa. They have millions in Bitcoin.
DDG has investments in Bitcoin at a minimum. Akon has the cryptocity he’s developing in Africa.
Nipsey Husle had an unknown amount in Bitcoin before his passing. It’s rumored the value of his Crypto portfolio is or was close to $100-million-dollars in value at its height.
Snoop Dogg has many NFT projects. Kanye West says he will be surprising people with his projects in crypto and the Metaverse.
Even Floyd Mayweather got paid by Ethreum Max to promote their brand.
The list is very long and too much for one interview. And it will keep growing. I think the blog Crypto Coin Opps has been keeping up with a lot of Hip-Hop culture’s moves in crypto.

Good tip off there. Thanks for letting us have this interview Mr Siveter. Time is precious for you as you travel with your wife. We appreciate the time you’ve given. Any closing words?
William’s response:
Well, it’s pretty incredible to see the interest that people have developed in my story. I appreciate you all. My question for you, is how did your blog find out about William Siveter?
#16
We first saw the CryptoMode.com interview and it drew my interest. I showed it to team members and we wanted to know your connections to Hip-Hop and cryptos.
William’s response:
They have a big reach. I had no clue that would reach so many. Thanks!
Kool G Rap is one of the greatest leaders of all time. Sometimes he gets overlooked when they make these lists, but make no mistake about it, he’s a goat.
Well, I have been privileged enough to find out what he’s working on next and I think it’s going to be awesome. He has a project that’s coming out with .38 Spesh, the rapper from Buffalo. 38 Spesh has been doing his thing as well, producing hard-core hip-hop for us rap fiends. He works a lot with Griselda, especially Benny The Butcher.
The two of them are coming back with “Son Of G Rap II,” the sequel to the dope album, which came out a couple years ago. At the time of this writing, I do not know when the album is going to drop or anything, but I do know that they are working on it. I am thinking this is going to be amazing, because the first one was really dope too.
Kool G Rap also has a project that’s soon to drop called Last of a Dying Breed. That one was engineered by producer, Domingo, who has production credits from everybody-Big Pun, Fat Joe, KRS-1, Rakim, Ras Kass, Joell Ortiz, Crooked i, Chris Rivers, Eminem and even Shaquille O’Neal! So, stay tuned for that. He also recorded the whole original Son Of G Rap album! I wonder if he is working on this one too!
Jarad “Juice Wrld” Higgins passed away on December 8, 2019, at the age of 21. The “Lucid Dreams” hitmaker left behind many family members, fans, and friends such as fellow Chicago native G Herbo.
Montrealitycaught up with G Herbo at Rolling Loud New York for an on-camera interview. The conversation included the rap star, formerly known as Lil Herb, reflecting on his personal relationship with Juice Wrld.
“The friendship was everything. It was a beautiful friendship. That’s my brother and I loved him dearly, while he was here,” expressed G Herbo. “[Juice Wrld] felt that love and I felt the love that he had for me, while he was here.”
The 26-year-old rhymer added, “Every day, I make sure that I hold on to his legacy as much as possible. That’s important to me. That’s somebody that I looked at as a pure soul… As far as music, our relationship didn’t really have anything to do with music, that was my brother… Everything that I shared with him was special, like a bond, a brother.”
Prior to his passing, Juice Wrld released the 2018 album Goodbye & Good Riddance and the 2019 album Death Race for Love. His first posthumous project, Legends Never Die, arrived in 2020. Fighting Demons dropped in December 2021.
The RIAA certified Goodbye & Good Riddance as 3x-Platinum in 2021. Death Race for Love and Legends Never Die crossed the 2x-Platinum mark that same year. Juice Wrld also scored a Platinum plaque for the collaborative effort Wrld on Drugs with Future.
G Herbo’s catalog contains the studio LPs Humble Beast (2017), Still Swervin (2019), PTSD (2020), and 25 (2021). Juice Wrld and Herbo worked together on songs such as “Never Scared” off Still Swervin and “PTSD” off PTSD. The latter track also featured Lil Uzi Vert, and Chance the Rapper.
During the Montreality interview, G Herbo spoke about making music with Juice Wrld before he died. The Republic recording artist stated, “One of our songs just got leaked and I don’t even remember the song. I don’t even remember recording it… We have a lot of songs like that.”
