M&M’s x Lil Nas X Collab Will Give Back To The Art Community
The Lil Nas X and M&M’s pack collaboration will benefit Sing For Hope Pianos. The public art project establishes artist-designed pianos in public spaces as a way to encourage connections through impromptu music-making. Illustrator/designer Patrick Freeman and Julie Diaz Petta from New York’s Gay and Lesbian Center’s Youth Pride Chorus co-designed an M&M’s x Lil Nas X piano.
The M&M’s x Lil Nas X-inspired piano will appear at Radio City Music Hall on September 21 as part of the performer’s Long Live Montero Tour. Following that show, it will be moved to the M&M’s Store in Times Square until mid-October. Sing For Hope Pianos will later donate the item to Newark Pride, Inc.
“Growing up I would have never thought my face would be on M&M’s but here we are, and it’s amazing,” states Lil Nas X. “I can’t wait to share these new M&M’s packs with my fans, and I love that we’re giving back to the art and music communities at the same time.”
Lil Nas X released his debut studio LP,Montero, in September 2021. The album hosts the Billboard Hot 100 #1 songs “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” and “Industry Baby” with Jack Harlow. LNX’s discography also includes the 2019 EP titled 7.
Megan Thee Stallion is one of the most recognizable mainstream rappers at the moment. In addition to making hit records, Megan’s personal life has become regular news over the last several years.
Last week, DaBaby added more fuel to the gossip fire surrounding Megan Thee Stallion. The North Carolina native used his new Baby on Baby 2 album to make allegations about his “Cry Baby” collaborator.
“The day before she said that Tory Lanez shot her, I was f###### on Megan Thee Stallion. Waited to say that s### on my next album. Hit it the day before, too. But I kept it player, I ain’t say nothing ’bout it,” rapped DaBaby on his “Boogeyman” song.
Numerous media outlets then reported that Megan reacted to DaBaby’s lyrics during her set at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. However, the Hot Girl Coach claims her comments about doing what she wants with her body were not a response.
“I feel like a lot of these blogs don’t post me until it’s something they know [a] majority of their audience can dog pile on me for [being] associated with some kind of negative narrative… [because] why is the way I start my performance to ‘Body’ damn near every show news NOW…,” tweeted Megan Thee Stallion.
She added, “I really don’t care [about] being posted AT ALL but why is it that all of a sudden out of the 1 million positive things I do/have done it only seems like when something negative happens that’s news? Like positive Megan Thee Stallion content is there lol why ignore it?”

The world lost accomplished actor Chadwick Boseman on August 28, 2020. Boseman’s Black Panther co-stars, including Letitia Wright, had to film the movie’s sequel without him.
Tamron Hall invited Letitia Wright as a guest on her daytime talk show. The conversation included Wright discussing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She also reflected on Chadwick Boseman’s death.
“So when this unfortunate event happened [getting injured on set] and I had to take about three months out, I went back home and my mom received me with tears in her eyes and I just had to sit with myself and decide ‘how are you going to bounce back from this? How are you going to get back on the set to fulfill your purpose that God blessed you with?’ And I could hear [Chadwick Boseman] just tell me that I could do it. I didn’t feel like I could do it. I didn’t feel like I could go back,” said Wright.
The 28-year-old actess added, “I admired his journey even more because he dealt with something that we didn’t know about until he passed away and I’m trying to contain it, but I never got to say goodbye to my brother [Boseman] so just going through that situation, it was another opportunity for leadership and strength to come out and just for him to be such a leader at a time when he was facing so much. I just felt like once I got the healing I needed and I went back, I finished stronger.”
Chadwick Boseman passed away due to complications from colon cancer. He was 43 years old. Before his death, Boseman also starred in movies such as Get on Up, Captain America: Civil War, 21 Bridges, and Da 5 Bloods. Netflix’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom was Boseman’s final film.
Letitia Wright’s Suri character will appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The cast also includes Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, and others. Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will arrive in theaters on November 11, 2022.
Kanye West announced it’s time to “get your popcorn,” after sending a message to Adidas, warning them playtime is over.
Last week the Yeezy founder suggested that there’s a chance he and Adidas can salvage their working relationship. However, Ye is back on the offensive now. Kanye West has been engaged in a feud with Adidas and the company’s CEO Kasper Rørsted since the summer.
“There’s a possibility (we) can co-parent products that we make,” Kanye explained to Forbes. “But not in a way where I’m not getting say-so over colorways, and where they’re treating me like I’m dead,”
However, the rapper turned designer returned to addressing the brand via Instagram on Monday (Sept. 26).
“Adidas,” Kanye West wrote in a message on his IG Story. “You talk to me first about any decisions about Yeezy.”
Ye then informs, “I been nice,” up to this point, but “this is for my kids now.” He said he’s also fighting for “every creative kid that ever was bullied.”
“It’s time for me to go it alone,” Ye explained. “It’s fine. I made the companies money. The companies made me money. We created ideas that will change apparel forever.”
Top Dawg Entertainment boss Punch shared a message for artists who emphasise going viral while forgetting to focus on making good music.
Punch’s remarks come after weeks of online drama within the Hip Hop community. Cardi B, who in August claimed other celebrities use her as a marketing plan, spent hours going back and forth on Twitter with Akbar V on Monday (Sept. 26).
The subtweets began after Akbar V appeared to downplay the success of Cardi B’s GloRilla collab “Tomorrow 2.” Cardi responded, and the pair traded shots throughout the day, with their respective fanbases becoming involved. As reported by AllHipHop.com, the exchange became very heated.
For artist. In my experience… you can have all the marketing and promotion in the world, but if ppl aren’t saying your music is good it doesn’t matter much.
It appears nobody is safe from the internet trolling of 50 Cent, not least the mother of his child, Daphne Joy.
Rumors swirled earlier that Fif’s baby mama was dating Diddy after they attended the same event. Online sleuths noticed Diddy and Daphne Joy shared similar photos from the iHeartRadio Awards and speculated they were together.
50 Cent must have caught wind of the gossip because he took to Instagram with a jab at Daphne. He posted a picture of himself alongside his 10-year-old son Sire while sending a shot at his mother in the caption.
“Oh s###, that’s your mommy over there with Puffy,” penned Fiddy. “LOL😆😆😆 Remember what i told you the other day, these b!tche’s be crazy. SMH”
Instagram 50 Cent
While she usually avoids addressing the rumors, Daphne Joy felt she had to respond to the gossip with a statement.
“I hate speaking about my private life on social media. But I feel it needs to be addressed,” she began. “I’m so tired of my narrative being what it is. I was in a 2 year relationship 10+ years ago and out of the relationship God blessed me with a beautiful healthy baby boy. Although my child’s father and I parted ways, I shifted my focus on my sons well being emotionally, spiritually, and everything in between.”
Daphne added she’s “healed privately,” and now just wants “to be happy and be left alone.”
She concluded, “When I finally show a glimpse of my happiness, I feel I’m attacked for on it. I’m so tired of defending my character, being pre judged and constantly being Villainized.”
The status of Ari Fletcher and Moneybagg Yo’s relationship has been the subject of the rumor mill for some time, with hints that the two are still an item followed by rumors of a split.
It appeared as though things were over when the influencer revealed that she was single last month. “Happy, paid and single!” Ari tweeted. Ready for everything new!”
Ari ended all the gossip during the latest episode of her YouTube cooking show Dinner With The Don. Not only did she confirm that she was the woman in the picture, but sadly, Ari revealed she suffered a miscarriage. Ari also opened up about gossip surrounding their split and the current state of her love life.
“Yes, that was me in the picture, pregnant. That was me,” the businesswoman admitted. “Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage.” She added,” God said not right now. Probably in the future.”
According to Ari, she was the one who ended the relationship. “I did break up with that muthafucka, yes I did. Because he had me f##### up.” Check out the clip below and the episode at the end of the page.
She also confirmed their split “wasn’t about no cheating. It didn’t have nothing to do with anyone else, it was something solely between me and him.”
Elsewhere during the episode, Ari denied dating Meek Mill and Portuguese soccer player Renato Sanches. “I do not know that man, “she said of the Athlete.
“FORBES!!!” She penned in the caption. “I’m so happy and overjoyed. So thankful. This was such an amazing interview. I’m still in shock and can’t stop smiling. 🥹🌹❤️ Thank you so much.”
Finally, we get to hear from DJ Akademiks. The DJ who is not a DJ did an interview today with The Breakfast Club. Yes, Charlamagne and DJ Envy did this interview and did a pretty good job. They talked to the current bad boy of rap and got his take on calling pioneers dusty and broke.
Well, I will say this, he explained himself well. I do not think he is going to be able to change some peoples’ minds and I think that the damage is done. I am not even saying I agree, but this is much more than a quick hot take. I do believe he brought up some very interesting points and explained himself in a way that is reasonable and sensible. I am pretty sure he understands the Internet by this point and knows what will incite and elicit a response from people. I don’t think that he did this on purpose.
What I do find to be somewhat cool is that some of the older gods of Hip-Hop are talking to him. Most notably T.I. has reached out. He’s agreed to talk to LL Cool J. I do believe that AK made a good point in discerning what his statements were versus what the Internet said.
He also talked about this other situation with Reginae Carter. And that is one I am not ask familiar with. Basically he use the B-word with her and as you know, that is Lil Wayne‘s daughter. But, Akademiks defended his use of said word because she is a public figure. He said we can call his mom a B if she becomes a public figure. OK. I watched this interview for quite a while, but I did stop somewhere around the halfway point.
The reason I am putting this on the site is because we always play fair and we don’t generally take sides. I definitely want DJ Akademiks to be able to articulate his real point and speak his peace
First of all, I missed it in the news when they reported this about Akbar V. She decided to insult Cardi, Offset and the kids and Cardi launched a missile at her.
HOLY CRAP!
Nicki said something that was seemingly fired randomly, but people figured it was directed at Cardi.
I will leave it up to you guys to determine what “arms” means, but social media has the answers.
People out here wilding against each other. Cardi vs Nicki, Cardi vs Akbar V! They are going crazy! And for what? What is the source of the problem? Where is Minister Farrakhan? This just seems like legacy beef that nobody can stop. Correct me if I am wrong.
I find it also crazy that Cardi is the one that was picked over all others to interview with Joe Biden.
Nicki Minaj ranted on social media after YouTube put an age restriction on her “Likkle Miss Remix” video.
The diamond-selling rapper accused YouTube of conspiring to suppress her views. Nicki Minaj claimed YouTube was “in bed” with an unnamed record label and management company on Monday (September 26).
“Imagine this,” she wrote on Instagram. “They restricted my f###### video but have things a million f###### times worse on their BOGUS FKNG PLATFORM. this is what they do to keep you from winning while doing ads for other ppl and posting FAKE FKNG STATS. because the same ppl who run YouTube are in bed with a certain record label and mngmnt company. GO SUCK OUT YA MUDDA BIG PUM PUM. LYOR IT BETTER NOT BE YOU.”
Nicki Minaj’s video is no longer age-restricted on YouTube, but she believed the damage was already done. She also criticized her own label while airing out YouTube.
“This was done to stop us from getting a lot of views in the first 24 hours,” she wrote. “The DUDS at my label allow ppl to use my videos all the time to promote weak s### but said we can’t buy promo for my videos. @youtube @youtubemusic it’s time y’all tell ppl that you’re in bed with a whole RECORD LABEL & MNGMNT COMPANY!!!!!”
Nicki Minaj continued, “HOW LONG HAVE YALL BEEN PLAYING THE NUMBERS GAME TO LIE & PRETEND PPL R DOING ‘GOOD’ WHEN THEY R NOT?!?!! HOW MUCH AD SPACE DID THESE DUDS PURCHASE TO BE PROMOTED ON MY CHANNEL IN THE LAST 5 YEARS?!??!!!! #LikkleMissREMIXVideo.”
Snoop Dogg is reconnecting with DJ Drama for another collaboration.
The D-O-Double G announced plans to release a new Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama on Monday (September 26). The project is scheduled to drop on October 20, which happens to be Snoop Dogg’s birthday.
“@djdrama I still got it,” he wrote on Instagram. “Gangsta Grillz. 10/20/22.”
Snoop Dogg previously worked with DJ Drama on a mixtape series titled That’s My Work. The two collaborated on The City Is In Good Hands mixtape as well.
The upcoming Gangsta Grillz release will add to what’s already been a busy year for Snoop Dogg. Last month, he launched an animated children’s series and his own brand of cereal.
Earlier this month, the legendary rapper unveiled his Mama Snoop line of breakfast foods. He also partnered with Funko for Tha Dogg House, a Snoop Dogg-themed store opening in 2023.
“This new store stays true to who I am as an entrepreneur and rapper,” the Emmy winner said in a press release. “I can’t wait for my fans to experience it, to touch it, to feel it. Once you see it, it’s like no other thing in the world. Tha Dogg House will blow your mind.”
Lil Wayne is looking to sell his mansion in Miami Beach, Florida.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Young Money founder listed the home with a price tag of $29.5 million. He purchased it for $16.75 million in 2018.
The mansion is located on Allison Island. The house was built in 2017.
Lil Wayne’s Miami Beach home includes seven bedrooms and a movie theater. The roughly 10,600-square-foot mansion also features an outdoor swimming pool.
Cyril Matz, the listing agent for the property, told the Wall Street Journal the house next door to Weezy’s mansion sold for $16.5 million in January. Matz didn’t disclose why the New Orleans native decided to sell his home.
Outside of real estate, Lil Wayne’s former personal assistant filed a lawsuit against the prolific artist. Last month, Weezy’s ex-assistant Andrew Williams claimed the veteran rapper punched him on a private jet in June.
Williams said he tried to stop an altercation between Lil Wayne and a pilot. Weezy allegedly punched Williams in the jaw, which reportedly caused excessive damage due to “numerous rings and large jewelry on his hands.”
Lil Wayne allegedly fired the personal assistant after the incident. Williams sued his former boss for assault and wrongful termination.
Cardi B spent hours trading shots with Akbar V on Twitter following an apparent subtweet.
The social media insults stemmed from a comment made by Akbar V on Sunday (September 25). She appeared to doubt the success of Cardi B’s GloRilla collab “Tomorrow 2” without mentioning any names.
“If @chartdata ain’t say it we ain’t believing the CAP,” Akbar V wrote.
Cardi B assumed it was a diss and began subtweeting too.
“Count all the times chart data posted u,” she wrote. “I don’t really like the internet games …My dms is open and also the streets!”
She added, “I don’t gotta @ I can change a b#### life just by a mention….AND YES I HIT THEM DIRECTLY ,I don’t do the internet!!”
Akbar V claimed someone gave her phone number to Cardi B as both women referenced an offline conversation. But the two continued to bicker on social media.
“B#### talking bout she can change my life,” Akbar V wrote. “ho @NICKIMINAJ change my life I’m on a tape u produced and didn’t know u produced it and showed love to ur dog face ass still cause we was cordial and u ain’t take me number #1 so if u couldn’t change my life with that u can’t do it now.”
The war of words became more heated as their kids became a topic of conversation.
“See the difference between me &u I had Nikkas wanting to put babies In me while I was in the jungle but I said to myself I won’t put my kids in the same hoods I was I raised in let alone ABANDONED THEM,” Cardi B wrote. “u had that choice to make as well not once but FIVE TIMES.”
Cardi B also shared an explicit video of Akbar V but later deleted it.
“Now my kids got to watch this again @iamcardib,” Akbar V wrote. “u dead wrong for that uploading that p### stuff about me again u scoop so low but kool …. u just threw me back into anxiety.”
Akbar V eventually brought up Offset, saying she received a call from Cardi B’s husband.
“Offset calling talking bout u shouldn’t have put me in it n####,” she wrote. “all i got to do is make one call 3 letters #4pf u gonna s### on yourself like u did behind compound.”
The Migos member responded, “Police ass hoe I ain’t called you and If Any N#### played with me get blitzed ask around!”
Police ass hoe I ain’t called you and If Any N#### played with me get blitzed ask around ‼️
Cardi B took issue Akbar V bringing Offset into the feud.
“B#### sooo why you ain’t record the call?” she wrote to Akbar V. “You made that whole s### up just soo you can bring my man up to try & bait him to snitch on himself cause you a COP ASS HOE …why would my man call you when I’m handling s### myself? CLOUT MUNCHER.”
Cardi B suggested Akbar V will try to capitalize on their beef by releasing a diss track.
The Atlantic Records rapper concluded, “I should of never argue[d] with this deadbeat.”
In a text post on his Instagram Stories on Sunday night, Kanye told his followers that he can relate to the U.K. people mourning the loss of The Queen.
“London I know how you feel,” he wrote. “I lost my queen too.”
Kanye did not specify who he was referring to with his message.
However, fans have speculated that he could either be referencing his late mother, Donda, who died in 2007, or his divorce from Kim Kardashian, the mother of his four children.
They were declared legally single in March.
During an interview that aired on Good Morning America last week, Kanye expressed remorse for how he has treated Kim amidst their divorce.
“This is the mother of my children. I apologize for any stress that I have caused,” he stated. “I need this person to be (the) least stressed and of (the) best, sound mind and as calm as possible to be able to raise those children.”
He has used his Instagram account to publicly blast Kim, and others, in recent months. However, his page has been wiped clean and is empty from posts, although he still uses the Stories function.
Lil Hiddy wants to become one of the biggest stars, and he’s here to showcase his talent to the rest of the world and beyond.
The rising star has been making music for 5 years now, and is excited as ever to be unveiling his highly-anticipated debut EP via the Nuvizion Entertainment imprint.
In describing himself, he states he’s “a rap artist from Uptown Philly and an aspiring actor. I love getting dressed up, repping my city and staying in my own lane.”
In order to stand out in the music industry nowadays, you have to have a different sound… and that’s exactly why Hiddy is here to stay. It’s his diversity and ability to keep switching things up that keeps adding fuel to the fire, and he continues to elevate with each release. In fact, he looks up to Lil Durk and Lil Baby, referring to them as “team leaders.”
He currently has his debut single “Richard Millie” in radio rotation gaining traction everyday as well as, another song from his upcoming EP, entitled “Oh!” which has quickly become a fan favorite.
AllHipHop spoke with Lil Hiddy about his new music, roots in Philly, goals, and more!
AllHipHop: How would you describe your sound?
Lil Hiddy: I describe my sound as universal, but I can also dip into other lanes depending on my emotions and what I’m going through. It’s basically about how I’m feeling. I probably write a sad song if I’m feeling sad or turn up if I’m feeling excited. Just going through my many emotions.
AllHipHop: You’re from Philly, how does that play into your life and career?
Lil Hiddy: Philly has influenced my writing a lot. Philly plays a lot into my life and career because if I didn’t go through the hardships, breakups, ups and downs, I wouldn’t choose to be rapping right now. If I were not from here (Philly) or dealing with what I’m dealing with, I wouldn’t have the passion for making music. Philadelphia is my co-writer.
AllHipHop: Biggest influences?
Lil Hiddy: My biggest influences are Kur and Lil Uzi because they are big and from my city. I know Kur personally. He’s been my mentor, and I always look up to him like a big brother. He influenced me. Lil’ Uzi has his own style and his own flow. I look up to Lil Uzi. My other influences are Lil’ Baby, Lil’ Durk, Rylo Rodriguez, and Nocap because of the unique sound they bring to the rap game. My last big wave of influence would be 50 Cent because he was able to transition from hip-hop to acting. I look up to 50 Cent too, but I’m focusing on rapping right now. I definitely want to act someday.
AllHipHop: At what point did you realize this music thing was for real?
Lil Hiddy: I’ve been rapping since I was little, but I never knew I’d take rap seriously. I realized this music thing was real when my brother got locked up. We started rapping together, and we always used to talk about the luxuries of being rich and what we would do if we had a lot of money and the chains we would get and all that cool stuff. When he got locked up, I felt like I had to take over and accomplish our dreams. I just had to go crazy really quick, that’s when I realized this was for me.
AllHipHop: What was the inspiration behind your name?
Lil Hiddy: When I was young, people on the block used to call me Hotty or Hiddy because my name is Jahid, so it has stuck with me ever since.
https://ffm.to/21lilhiddyxkur
AllHipHop: Your newest single “21” ft. KUR out now, how are you feeling?
Lil Hiddy: I feel great about the song because I got the biggest artist in Philly to hop on it! It’s a good experience and you can feel the energy when you listen to the song.
AllHipHop: What inspired the record? How’d the collab come about?
Lil Hiddy: I wasn’t really feeling the song when I initially recorded it because it was out of my element, but then my manager sent a pack of songs to Kur, and he (Kur) chose that song. Kur messed with it, sang my lyrics back, and then hopped on it. Ever since then, it’s been history. We were all like, this is the one.
AllHipHop: What do you want fans to take away from the record?
Lil Hiddy: This record is a vibe. I just want fans to go crazy and dance to it. Play it at every cookout, at clubs, just turn up with your friends and such. It’s a fun song. I want fans to play it at events and go crazy with their people.
AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?
Lil Hiddy: I need a lot of things, but the top 3 are Essentia water. Every once in a while, I need people in the studio to motivate me and turn me up, probably the guys, and I need some good weed.
AllHipHop: Goals for yourself as an artist at this point of your career?
Lil Hiddy: My first goal is to get myself and my family out of the hood and put my sisters in better schools, so they don’t have to go to neighborhood schools. My other goals are to win a plaque for a platinum record and #1 hit and put everybody around me in a position to win.
AllHipHop: What can we expect next?
Lil Hiddy: You can expect more songs, more singles, and, by the end of the year, a whole crazy mixtape. That’s what everyone should expect. That’s my goal. I plan to be one of the greats!
Brooklyn rapper 6ix9ine is still in the headlines, but this time it’s for disrespecting imprisoned United States professional basketball player Brittney Griner.
The chart-topper, who took a controversial booking to perform in Russia, took aim at the young woman who is an international prisoner.
A video is being circulated where an intoxicated 6ix9ine is seen talking slick about the WNBA player.
“You know we out here,” the rapper said. “Sh-t is crazy.” He then leaned into the camera and said, “F### Brittney Griner.”
According to many American artists and entertainers, traveling to Russia is now considered a poor choice.
Many have blasted 6ix9ine for disrespecting the pro-athlete and the situation she found herself in. He stood on his word, despite blaming it on the alcohol.
On Sunday, September 25th, he wrote, “I’m not gonna lie I was drunk .. but I stand on that .. I’m in Russia while y’all scared to come here… argue with yourself smd I’m like that. Just remember I’m still alive while your favorite rapper is dead I’ll be mad too.”
Lil Boosie Badazz is going to have some trouble getting this movie off the ground, if the world wide premiere is any indication. As we previously reported, Boosie pushed hard for other people, most notably celebrities and other rappers, come out and lend a hand in promoting his movie.
What happened? People came and it looked well attended, but there were no notable individuals on tap.
“Dahmer” dropped last week and it has hit a bullseye with almost no promo. The bullseye seems to be the heart of the people that continue to be victimized by the now-dead serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. Personally, I would like to know about the man that killed Dahmer. What was his life like? What made him do it? How did he feel? Make a film about that legend….the one that killed the killer. Anyway, the families of the people that that POS ate and murdered are speaking out. And they are saying that this show is triggering their worst nightmare.
Eric Perry, who is related to victim Errol Lindsey, said this show is not even necessary. Also: its hurting people that have survived the horror.
On Twitter, Perry said, “I’m not telling anyone what to watch, I know true crime media is huge rn, but if you’re actually curious about the victims, my family (the Isbell’s) are p##### about this show. It’s retraumatizing over and over again, and for what? How many movies/shows/documentaries do we need?”
I’m not telling anyone what to watch, I know true crime media is huge rn, but if you’re actually curious about the victims, my family (the Isbell’s) are p##### about this show. It’s retraumatizing over and over again, and for what? How many movies/shows/documentaries do we need? https://t.co/CRQjXWAvjx
Well, he just told me not to watch! And I am not. It is also traumatizing to Black people in general. This scumbag preyed on the most vulnerable people in our lives. And since we cannot produce new serial killers and mass shooters are not interesting, they gotta keep spewing this garbage out.
When “Dahmer” came out, there was no heads up for the family and Perry said that is typical. It makes sense, we die and nobody cares. Why would anybody care to give notice over this when it is making the big bucks?
DAHMER!
Perry continued, “So when they say they’re doing this ‘with respect to the victims’ or ‘honoring the dignity of the families.’ My cousins wake up every few months at this point with a bunch of calls and messages and they know there’s another Dahmer show. It’s cruel.”
Veteran actor Kadeem Hardison is best known for his portrayal of Dwayne Wayne in the classic sitcom A Different World. Hardison also starred in the 1992 basketball-themed film White Men Can’t Jump.
A remake of White Men Can’t Jump is currently in the works. Hip Hop artist Jack Harlow will take over the lead role of Billy Hoyle in the forthcoming motion picture.
TMZrecently spoke with Kadeem Hardison. The 57-year-old Bedford–Stuyvesant native expressed a “wait-and-see” approach to the new version of White Men Can’t Jump. However, he expressed interest in seeing Jack Harlow act in the movie.
“I know he can play some ball. I heard that he rhymes. That’ll add a whole different flair to it. They don’t have to go the typical way they went the first time,” said Kadeem Hardison. “So it could be interesting.”
The cameraperson also asked Kadeem Hardison who he would like to see play his White Men Can’t Jump character of Junior. Hardison suggested Power Rangers, The Harder They Fall, andRap Sh!tstar RJ Cyler.
The New White Men Can’t Jump Also Stars Other Recording Artists
The original 1992 production of White Men Can’t Jump starred Wesley Snipes (Sidney “Syd” Deane) and Woody Harrelson (Billy Hoyle) as streetballers. Ron Shelton wrote and directed the sports comedy from 20th Century Fox.
White Men Can’t Jump made more than $76 million at the domestic box office. When adding international numbers, the film brought in a worldwide total of $90,753,806. Kenya Barris (Black-ish) will co-write the remake along with Doug Hall.
A Different World found new life on the HBO Max streaming service. The classic sitcom ran for three seasons on NBC from 1987 to 1993. Main cast members Kadeem Hardison and Jasmine Guy stopped by The Breakfast Club last week to celebrate the 35-year anniversary of the program set in a fictional HBCU.
Large sections of the internet went crazy this weekend over a new collaboration by two female rappers. Memphis-bred spitter GloRilla recruited Cardi B for a remix of her “Tomorrow” single.
GloRilla and Cardi B’s “Tomorrow 2” hit DSPs on Friday, September 23. In less than two days, the song already topped a significant streaming chart in the United States.
“Tomorrow 2” made its way to #1 on Apple Music’s Top 100: USA. According to Chart Data, that feat gives Cardi B her 11th leader on the AM chart, extending the Grammy winner’s record for most Number Ones for a female artist.
“THANK YOU EVERYBODY… most important BARDIGANG 👠,” tweeted Cardi B after finding out her track with GloRilla topped the Apple Music rankings. She later wrote, “Sooo proud of BG🥲……When I get my LS check I’m going to do someee very special for yall ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
