Beyoncé doesn’t post much on Instagram outside of glossy pictures of her, Jay-Z, and their beautiful children, but when she does, you better believe it’s a major announcement that causes ripples online.
Her latest post did just that as the superstar songstress teased a new venture that seemingly sees her branching into hair care.
Despite being on one of the most highly anticipated tours of recent times, Beyoncé took to Instagram to share a reflective post with a surprise twist at the end. The first in the trio of images sees Bey sitting at a beauty vanity while styling her hair. On the counter next to her sits a variety of products with what appears to be handwritten labels.
The second slide is a close-up of a young Beyoncé smiling while her hair is braided. In the final slide, Beyoncé shared a letter reflecting on her first job before revealing her secret project.
“How many of y’all knew my first job was sweeping hair in my mama’s salon?” Beyoncé began.
“Destiny’s Child got our start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done,” she continued. “I was exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women in her salon.”
Beyoncé added: “I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls. I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy. I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve been creating.”
Ja Morant’s recent suspension from the NBA for brandishing a gun on social media has inspired a bar from Vic Mensa.
The Roc Nation artist was asked his thoughts about the suggestion that the NBA player wants to be a rapper. Before sharing his opinion, Vic Mensa laughed and revealed the scandal prompted him to write a bar.
“My mama keep telling me to stop, I can’t/the second time they caught me with that gun, damn, I feel like Ja Morant,” Mensa rapped to TMZ.
After rapping the line, the Chicago artist offered his take on the ordeal.
“I think God blessed Ja Morant, man,” Vic Mensa explained. “I pray that that brother gets it together and he figures it out because he’s too brilliant and so talented. He’s got a gift, he’s got a real gift. So, I don’t want to see him have to go down that path because he’s so good.”
He also said, “I think God blessed him,” before adding, “I’m not gonna say anything to disparage him. There’s enough people doing that.”
On Sunday, (May 14), The Memphis Grizzlies announced Ja Morant was suspended from all league activities for brandishing a gun on Instagram Live for the second time. He was eventually given an eight-game suspension without pay and could face further consequences.
Ja Morant: “I’m committed to continuing to work on myself”
Meanwhile, the point guard broke his silence over the controversy on Tuesday (May 16).
“I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do,” he said, via ESPN. “My words may not mean much right now, but I take full responsibility for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.”
In an interview also on Tuesday, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said he and Morant talked “directly about the consequences,” adding that he was “shocked” by Ja Morant’s behavior.
“Frankly most of our conversation was about how incredibly serious the first incident was of waving a firearm on social media. The consequences there — an eight-game suspension was pretty serious. And something that he, at least to me, seemed to take incredibly seriously in that time,” Silver explained during an ESPN interview.
He added, “Honestly, I was shocked when I saw this weekend that video.”
“Honestly, I was shocked when I saw this weekend — that video. Now, we’re in the process of investigating it."
Ari Lennox was rendered speechless in the middle of her London show when her Dreamville boss J. Cole popped out to surprise her.
The Washington D.C. songstress was halfway through their hit song, “Shea Butter Baby,” when Cole appeared on stage out of nowhere to perform his verse. Ari Lennox was left stunned at the sight of J. Cole and could only lift her hand to her mouth in shocked silence.
After the show, she took to social media to share a clip of her reaction. “I can’t believe @realcoleworld and @dreamville surprised me at my London show like this 🥹,” she penned in the Instagram caption. “I love y’all so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️” Check out the clip below.

“I asked Ari what this new album means to her,” J. Cole wrote. “I needed to know cuz I f### with it so heavy. What I hear is the highs, lows, joys and pains of dating life in 2022. But her answer made it even deeper for me. Appreciate you @arilennox Looking forward to the rest of the world hearing it.”
J. Cole has shared a text from Ari Lennox about what her highly anticipated ‘age/sex/location’ album means to her.
Just weeks after being sentenced to a year behind bars, 42 Dugg has made a plea for help claiming the conditions in his prison are so dire that he’s deprived of his basic human rights.
Although the 4PF/CMG artist was sentenced last month, he has been locked up since 2022. 42 Dugg took to Instagram on Tuesday (May 16) to complain about the conditions in his prison, including claiming he has no access to hot water to heat food, although he has since deleted his posts.
He also claims he was supposed to be released last October, stating, “they illegally held me without reasoning.”
Furthermore, 42 Dugg said U.S. Marshalls told the prison to stop him from attending a Zoom court hearing for an old case to prevent him from being released to a halfway house.
42 Dugg Calls For “The Best Civil Lawyer In Georgia”
“Bruh these muthafuckas been sending all kinda guards to talk to me seeing if ima ask for something,” he claimed. “The crazy thing is they putting me on game, they telling me the marshals tryna ruin your life, they dont want you going home. They haven’t even submitted my paperwork for me to receive my out date and calculate my days, I need. The best civil lawyer in Georgia man.”
42 Dugg continued, “Im in jail for going to the gun range, dropping dirty and failure to appear. I didn’t steal from nobody, hurt nobody, they handling me crazy. Man im in this b#### heating my food up with the water from the nasty ass shower. They dont even give us hot water to heat our food up aint no microwave, I can’t get no visits from my family nothing. Im sure they gone do some more illegal s### but what I pose to die in this b#### for probation violation.” Check out his posts beloow.
42 Dugg speaks on why he wasn’t released from jail last October like he was supposed to. Says US Marshalls are trying to have him complete his time in county jail instead of prison.
On Apr. 26, a judge sentenced 42 Dugg to one year behind bars for failure to report for a six-month prison sentence. He was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release and pay a $20,000 fine.
He was initially arrested in May 2022 and has been held at the U.S. Penitentiary Atlanta since that time.
Cartune Beatz, a Billboard charting producer originally from Harlem, started his career in the early 2000’s. Although basketball was his initial passion, Cartune found his other passion, Hip-Hop. Bouncing around a bit, down to Florida and other places, he began to focus.
During his college years in Pennsylvania, Cartune made the active decision to pursue music production while still nurturing his love for music. He started sharing his beats online and reaching out to artists on social media. Within a year of taking his production seriously, he started making strides with artists like Driicky Graham, Drumma Boy, King Los, DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia, Spectacular of Pretty Ricky, and Twista, among others. Despite a few brief breaks from producing, Cartune made a triumphant return to the music scene with his contributions to Lloyd Banks’ Billboard-charting comeback album, The Course of The Inevitable.
Now, back in New York – specifically Long Island – he is on a tear. He continued his success by producing on RJ Payne’s “Leather Face 3,” featuring the likes of Redman and Inspectah Deck. Cartune is currently making a serious name for himself and making waves in the music production scene crafting for Dave East, King Los, Che Noir, Jae Skeese, Freeway, Ransom, Mickey Factz, Reo Cragun, Driicky and many more.
Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur talks to the newly-minted legend.
AllHipHop: How have you managed to cut through and get to this point?
Cartune Beatz: Really through a lot of work, patience, trial and error, and most importantly social media. I came into the industry on my own with no help, co-signs or direction. I started a Twitter account after creating a producer name and IG shortly after. Every connection I’ve made musically, social media helped assist me. I’ve also been blessed with enough talent to create in any genre of music. Over the past three years I locked in on more boombap and traditional sounding Hip-Hop.
AllHipHop: Much of your work is not listed on your official discography?
Cartune: Yes, alot of my early work was during the time of DatPiff mixtapes, through features etc. I’ve been making beats for a while so I’ve worked through the transition from CDs, to early website streaming platforms, to what is now the streaming era so a lot of my full discography of production is scattered but almost every song I’ve ever produced is on YouTube.
AllHipHop: How did you come to work so closely with Lloyd Banks and RJ Payne?
Cartune: As I mentioned before none of it would’ve been possible without social media. I came across RJ Payne as I started to delve into the underground and traditional boombap style a few years back. I found RJ on twitter and reached out and he gave me an email to send beats. It took a little work and consistency to get our first record done which was “Blood Everywhere” ft. Redman. I’m usually very consistent when sending so even after that I kept sending and ended up with another record on his LeatherFace project and the rest was history. I started flooding him with beats and we got on a crazy roll and it’s still going so shout out to RJ.
Lloyd Banks was similar but a little different. I found one of Lloyd Banks engineers on Instagram and reached out to send some beats. I landed one placement which was “Sidewalks” on COTI1. I tweeted out in excitement that I’d just landed a placement with one of my favorite rappers growing up and he retweeted it then followed me. I DMd him and said I got plenty more. The rest was history there too. I landed two more placements on COTI 1 and never looked back. I started flooding Banks with beats like I still do now and in 2023 we are 18 songs released and have put out an incredible trilogy with the Course of The Inevitable. That’s not to mention how many records we have done that aren’t out yet. So look forward to more on the way.
AllHipHop: Congrats on that! What is your approach to music in 2023 and has it changed since you started?
Cartune: My approach honestly hasn’t changed much. I’ve always been a hard worker, humble, and compete against myself. I’m always willing to do the work and reach out to other artists myself. I know I have the talent, but where separation is created is how hard you work and meet that talent.
AllHipHop: What do you think of A.I. and the creation of music into the future?
Cartune: Man as cool as AI is, it’s very scary for music. Music has already transistioned into more of an assembly line of who’s hot at the moment, put out music, done, next etc… Longeveity in music has changed and so has the value people have for music as well as production and some of the process. A.I. is a way for a lot more short cuts which I think ultimately will harm what makes music so special, which is the human side of it.
AllHipHop: Who are the producers you grew up looking up to?
Cartune: Crazily enough I grew up listening to every producer in Hip-Hop. While I was younger I didn’t even fully grasp what a producer was and their role until I got a little older and into my teens. My biggest influences were producers like Lex Luger, Southside, and plenty of others. Those two specifically gave incite into producing with FL studio ( a program I’d had since I was about 13) and really showed how far you could make it with that program. I’m sure many other producers before them used it but those two were making a huge splash in Hip-Hop at the time I decided I wanted to produce and make music too.
AllHipHop: What is next for you and who would you like to work out with?
Cartune: For me a lot more music is next. You will be hearing from me a lot more of the same production most have gotten to know me by which is boombap, but you will also hear me revert back to some of my starting roots of trap beats and all kinds of different sub genres in Hip-Hop and music in general. What I look forward to most is showing fans how diverse and equally skilled in the others genres I am with production. I definitely want to work with a long list of artists but currently at the moment I want to work with Nas, Drake, Kendrick, 50 Cent -whenever he’s back to music – J Cole, Durk and more. It’s a pretty long list but I plan on checking all of those names off before I’m done.
AllHipHop: Final words?
Cartune: I just want to remind people to keep chasing your dreams. You only fail when you quit. Music has been up and down for me but in the instances they were, I devoted time to understand why and how I was contributing to that. Most importantly take time to educate yourself on the things you want to accomplish. There is usually so much more to see other than what shows on the surface and under is where you find the information that may help lead you to where you want to be.

British rapper Slowthai appeared in Oxfordshire magistrates court via video to face rape charges on Tuesday (May 16).
According to multiplereports, Slowthai was charged with two counts of rape. He maintained his innocence on social media.
“Regarding the allegations being reported about me, I categorically deny the charges,” he wrote. “I am innocent and I am confident my name will be cleared. Until then I will apply my energy to ensure this is concluded swiftly and justly. I ask that my supporters don’t comment about this situation and respect the process and privacy of my family during this time.”
Prosecutors accused Slowthai of raping a woman in Oxford in September 2021. Authorities charged him with oral and vaginal penetration of a woman without her consent.
Slowthai, whose real name is Tyron Frampton, did not enter a plea at Tuesday’s hearing. His next court date is scheduled for June 15.
Earlier this year, Slowthai released his third studio album UGLY via Interscope Records. The project peaked at No. 2 on the British charts. It was the third Top 10 album of his career.
Slowthai collaborated with Tyler, the Creator and Brockhampton in recent years. The 28-year-old artist also appeared on the Gorillaz album Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez.
Jack Harlow thinks he has more freedom as an actor than he does as a Hip-Hop artist.
The 25-year-old rapper explained why acting felt liberating at a screening for the White Men Can’t Jump remake on Monday (May 15). Jack Harlow alluded to certain limitations he faced in Hip-Hop during a Q&A in New York.
“I tell the truth on the mic, but maybe sometimes I feel some slight constraints in Hip-Hop because there’s a tradition to it, and I know I’m a guest in the genre,” he said, per PEOPLE. “There’s things that go through your head from time to time. But with acting I feel liberated to some degree — I feel like I could show up and I could be whoever I want to be today. I don’t know, I feel freedom.”
The new White Men Can’t Jump premieres on Hulu on Friday (May 19). Jack Harlow vowed to continue his acting career after the film’s release.
“Through this film, I was able to gain my confidence as an actor, and to me, this s### is not a side quest,” he said at Monday’s screening. “This isn’t a side mission that I’m tacking on just to keep the entertainer thing going and make some extra money.”
He added, “I really got the bug and fell in love with this, and I’m developing a deep passion for the craft of this the same way I had in music. I don’t want it to be a side hustle, I want to full-on go after this, and I’m going after it and I’m going to continue to do more.”
Jack Harlow dropped his Jackman album on April 28. He claimed he was the best white rapper since Eminem on the single “They Don’t Love It.”
Tekashi 6ix9ine found himself trending on Twitter for an unexpected reason on Tuesday (May 16).
6ix9ine’s sexuality became a topic on social media after Twitter users thought he appear in gay pornography. The explicit footage featured a man who slightly resembled the rapper.
Twitter users also spread photos of 6ix9ine kissing a man on the cheek. The photo was posted alongside wild claims the guy was his boyfriend.
Various commenters suggested 6ix9ine is gay. Others simply shared their stunned reactions to the explicit video despite it being a case of mistaken identity.
6ix9ine frequently sparked controversy throughout his career for his legal troubles and social media antics. His outrageous behavior helped fuel his rise in the music industry but earned him many enemies over the years.
The New York-bred rapper infamously snitched on his former gang, which came back to bite him earlier this year. Three men attacked him inside a Florida gym in March.
6ix9ine called it a “cowardly” act. Footage of the assault surfaced online.
Rafael Medina Jr., his son Octavious and Anthony Maldonado were arrested for the attack. Authorities said the elder Medina is a high-ranking member of the Latin Kings.
Check out some of the reactions to the 6ix9ine rumors below.
Rick Ross claimed he is running for mayor of Fayetteville, Georgia on Tuesday (May 16).
The Maybach Music Group rapper announced his mayoral bid in an Instagram Stories video. Rozay sought office after the Fayette County Planning and Zoning Commission denied him a permit for his upcoming car show.
“I love Fayetteville so much, next year I’m running for mayor,” he said. “That’s right. The boss Rick Ross running for mayor of Fayetteville.”

Rick Ross insisted his car show will still take place in Fayetteville on June 3. He asked his Instagram followers to inform him about the number of votes he needs to win an election.
“I wanna know how many votes did it actually take to vote in the mayor of Fayetteville,” he said. “I need to know that ‘cause we gon’ become that. We gon’ make that happen, and we gonna have a good time. We gon’ give some people opportunities, we gon’ give some people raises and, of course, we gon’ have to clean some people out.”
Rick Ross owns a massive estate called “The Promised Land” in Fayetteville. He previously hosted a car show at the property in 2022. Last month, his neighbors objected to him hosting another car show at his estate.
It looks like everybody wants to be a rapper these days. Travis Barker is one of the most famous, storied rock ‘n’ roll icons of our time. He’s always been cool and he’s never been a sucker. But some might be surprised to know that he has a daughter that raps.
Now, that’s a shocker to me because I would think that she would prefer to go another route, especially with the limitations Hip-Hop can place on one of these days. But now she looks like she’s coming off like one of the girls. Like she wants to do a song with Megan Thee Stallion or something.
The other thing is we have seen time and time again we’re a young white rapper turns into a whole rock star later in life, using our culture to propel himself to that other stratosphere. We have seen it with that piece of crap Kid Rock. We have seen it with white Iverson aka Post Malone. And we’ve even seen it withMGK who still does dabble in Hip-Hop When he feels like it. At any rate, I’m just giving you the 411. We give the Beastie Boys a pass because they were always super dope to the culture and also as rock guys. Also, they never pretended to be these hippity hoppity people. They were rap-adjacent from the get-go as a punk band.
So check out rapper Alabama and share your thoughts.
Lenny Kravitz is “thrilled” to see the new generation of Black artists having more “artistic freedom” than he had in the early days of his career.
The “Fly Away” singer feels excited witnessing a new crop of Black artists experiencing “artistic freedom” and being able to create music in pop, rock and alternative genres, instead of being limited to R&B and Hip-Hop.
Recalling the music industry around the time he signed to his record label, Kravitz told Billboard, “Everything was in these really tight boxes, white and black. Like ‘the pop department,’ it meant white, and the Black department was R&B.”
He added, “It makes me feel great that there is that artistic freedom. I’m always flattered and honored when those artists come up to me and tell me how much I meant to them. They grew up listening to my music and looking at the visuals, and felt that they could push the boundaries.”
Lenny Kravitz then name-dropped singer-songwriter Steve Lacy, and noted that watching the 24-year-old “reinspires” him.
Elsewhere in the interview, the “American Woman” hitmaker revealed that his next two albums are “pretty much cut” and he is looking forward to going back on the road after his last tour was canceled midway through due to the pandemic.
“I was two years into a three-year world tour when COVID hit,” he explained. “So I’m really happy to be getting back on the road and playing and sharing that experience with the people.”
Sheff G was arrested in New York City on Tuesday (May 16), accused of paying gang members to commit murder and other crimes. According to ABC7, the rapper (né Michael Williams) is among 32 alleged gang members charged in series of Brooklyn shootings that left one person dead and several others injured.
The indictment alleges the defendants are all members of 8 Trey Crips and its affiliate, the 9 Ways gang, who committed shootings, possessed guns and used stolen cars to eliminate rivals, including members of Folk Nation Gangster Disciples and ICG Babiiez. The indictment covers 27 acts of violence.
“The senseless gun violence, allegedly committed by these defendants, terrorized our neighbors for years and left more than a dozen people with serious injuries,” Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said. “It is distressing to know that some of the violence was allegedly fueled by a young man who used money he made from a successful music career to allegedly pay for and encourage acts of violence.”
Prosecutors say Sheff G offered money and expensive jewelry to anyone who committed acts of violence under his direction. The indictment also outlined one shooting in which he allegedly coordinated a group of three shooters, drove them to the crime scene and then acted as the getaway driver.
In October 2020, defendant Kamondre Dekattu was captured on surveillance video emerging from the sunroof of a white Infiniti and opening fire while other individuals fired guns from the driver’s side and rear driver’s side windows. Theodore Senior, an alleged Folk Nation rival, was fatally wounded and five other alleged Folk Nation members were left with non-life threatening injuries.
Roughly 48 hours after the shooting, Sheff G supposedly hosted a dinner with his fellow 8 Trey Crips and 9 Ways members at a Manhattan steakhouse to celebrate the death of Senior and the injuries of the five others.
“Sheff G became a prominent member of this gang and became central to our investigation,” Gonzalez said during a news conference. “Sheff G used a lot of the money that he earned to facilitate further gang activity. He encouraged gang members to participate in violent crimes.”
The “Juice” singer took to Instagram to post a clip of her debut on the long-running animated series, in which she played herself.
“Every Icon has been on @thesimpsons – now I can add my name to the list!” the 35-year-old exclaimed in the caption. “Thank you to the whole team for making this a dream come true.”
In the scene, Lizzo’s character is seen doing some voiceover work alongside Homer Simpson (voiced by Dan Castellaneta) when Bart Simpson (Nancy Cartwright) stops them so he can comically slap his dad repeatedly as part of the stage direction.
The star then takes it upon herself to start playing her flute, famously nicknamed Sasha Flute, to the tune of “The Simpsons’“ theme song.
As part of her message, Lizzo also noted that the cartoon version of herself was wearing an outfit inspired by the designs in her shapewear brand Yitty.
“Yes, I’m wearing @yitty and playing @sashabefluting !!!!” she added. Previously, Lizzo displayed her love for the sitcom when she dressed up as Marge Simpson for a Halloween party last October.
Kim Kardashian’s son Saint has been criticized for his Mother’s Day message.
In a video posted to the reality star’s Instagram Story, nine-year-old North, seven-year-old Saint, five-year-old Chicago and four-year-old Psalm West shared messages for their mother.
“Mom, I’m very grateful for you. I know I’m mean to you a lot and say you’re nothing to me, but you mean the world to me,” Saint said in his Mother’s Day video message to Kim. “I love you more than anything.”
Kim shares her four children with ex-husband Kanye West. In the video, Saint wore a Yeezus shirt, referencing a nickname for his father.
“You’re my favorite in the family. I even love you more than my cute little brother Psalm,” Saint continued. “I love you.”
Users caught Saint saying “you’re nothing to me,” with one claiming, “He probably heard it from his father. Kids don’t just say that.” Another echoed, “It means he hears his father say that about his mother. Awful.”
Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021 and it was finalized in November 2022.
He probably heard it from his father. Kids don’t just say that.
It’s not looking good for nuptials between A$AP Rocky and Rihanna – at least not for now. According to RadarOnline, Rihanna is in no rush to marry her boo. The pair have two kids together, and are looking very happy. It does not seem like they are going to get married though. Not exactly an incredibly reputable source with Hip-Hop, RadarOnline‘s source says that the pair is not looking at getting married anytime soon. First of all, let’s keep it real, Rihanna is worth over $1 billion. If she gets into a marriage with A$AP Rocky, who is not poor, but is worth considerably less, she would have to have an ironclad prenuptial agreement. These are facts with the divorce rate – according to the American Psychological Association – is 40-50%.
According to the Internet, which is also not incredibly reputable, A$AP Rocky is worth about $20 million. Nevertheless, there’s a big difference between that and 1 billion. I think A$AP Rocky should just ride this out and be cool. As long as he’s cool, he can live the lifestyle that most people dream about. Being with Rihanna is a DREAM. If they do get married, I’m sure they’ll figure it out. Happiness and friendship comes first. Second to that comment is both of you deciding you want to name your child Rissa. When you can agree on things like that, I think you can work anything out.
What do you guys think of this? I’m not putting a lot of energy into it because I really don’t care. These peoples’ lives do not affect me at all. I will say this: I am happy for them because I did not ever see Rihanna having a baby, and I definitely did not see A$AP Rocky as the one that would double up on a baby with my boo. HA!
Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, the second studio album by Compton emcee Kendrick Lamar, sits at No. 45 on the most recent Billboard 200. The project has remained on the chart for 550 weeks.
Kendrick Lamar extended his record for having the longest-charting Hip Hop studio album in the history of the Billboard 200. Good Kid, M.A.A.D City is also among the Top 15 longest-charting albums of any genre.
Detroit-bred rapper Eminem’s Curtain Call: The Hits greatest hits compilation charted for a total of 631 weeks. Pink Floyd holds the all-time record. The British Rock band’s The Dark Side of the Moon clocked in 981 weeks.
Good Kid, M.A.A.D City dropped in October 2012. Kendrick Lamar’s mainstream breakout album peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart that year. GKMC received five nominations at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards in 2014, including Best Rap Album and Album Of The Year.
The TDE/Aftermath/Interscope release featured Jay Rock, Drake, MC Eiht, and Dr. Dre. For the deluxe edition, Lamar added another track with Dr. Dre as well as the Grammy-nominated “Now or Never” with Mary J. Blige.
Kendrick Lamar continues to receive widespread critical praise for Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. Last year, Rolling Stone magazine ranked GKMC at No. 1 on the publication’s “50 Greatest Concept Albums of All Time” list.
R&B vocalist Summer Walker will present her Clear 2: Soft Life EP on May 19. The Atlanta-bred performer’s forthcoming project features a high-profile collaboration.
Fellow Atlanta native Childish Gambino will appear on a Clear 2: Soft Life track titled “New Type.” Plus, “Cranes in the Sky” singer Solange and “Bad Habit” singer Steve Lacy co-produced “Agayu’s Revelation.”
Clear 2: Soft Life is the sequel to Summer Walker’s 2019 EP Clear. Love & Hip Hop star Sukihana and “Pound Town” rapper Sexyy Red appeared alongside Walker in a tracklist reveal video.
Over It came out in 2019. A year earlier, Walker dropped the Last Day of Summer mixtape which hosted the “Karma” song. “Karma” reached RIAA Platinum status this month after going viral on TikTok in 2022.
In addition, Summer Walker released a preview of a song called “Pull Up” on her TikTok page. BMF and The New Edition Story actor Myles Truitt stars in the sneak peek clip.
Missy Elliott continues to receive her flowers for being one of the most innovative musicians in Hip Hop history.

Once again, Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant put himself in an image-damaging situation. This week, Morant received another suspension from the team after flashing a firearm on a friend’s Instagram Live.
While critics such as The Breakfast Club host Charlamagne Tha God and former NBA player Kwame Brown slammed Ja Morant for his behavior, Memphis-bred rapper BlocBoy JB showed support for the 2-time All-Star.
“Guns are not illegal,” wrote “Look Alive” hitmaker BlocBoy JB on Instagram. “If he turnt in his car [with] his gun [that’s] in his name, in his yard, and somebody recorded him, [that] ain’t on him. Free Ja.”
BlocBoy JB’s comments about his hometown’s pro basketball star probably would not sit well with Fox Sports 1’s Shannon Sharpe. The 3-time Super Bowl champion called out people sticking up for Morant.
Back in March, Ja Morant recorded himself inside a Colorado nightclub brandishing a gun. He supposedly entered a counseling program before meeting with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
The NBA suspended Morant for eight games without pay for the incident in Colorado. The 23-year-old athlete from South Carolina then did an interview where he discussed taking responsibility for his actions.
“I realize what I have to lose, and for us as a group, what we have to lose. It’s pretty much just that being more responsible, more smarter, and staying away from all the bad decisions,” said Ja Morant at the time.
Syracuse-born, Raleigh-raised musician Nau’Jour “Toosii” Grainger found his name in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in his career. “Favorite Song” rose to No. 8 on the latest chart.
Toosii’s “Favorite Song” climbed three spots from last week’s No. 11 position. The Adelso and Tatiana Manaois-produced single racked up 20.7 million streams during the tracking period.
Award-winning R&B singer Khalid hopped on the “Favorite Song” remix which dropped on May 5. A music video for that collaboration arrived on Toosii’s YouTube channel on May 12.
The Recording Industry Association of America recently certified “Favorite Song” as Platinum. The track will live on Toosii’s upcoming Capitol Records label debut studio LP titled Naujour.
In addition to Khalid on “Favorite Song (Remix),” Naujour will feature Wallo and 21 Savage. Toosii also recruited Future for the “Favorite Song (Toxic Version)” bonus track.
Naujour will drop on June 2. Previously, Toosii released the Poetic Pain studio album in 2020 under the South Coast Music Group/Universal Music Group umbrella.
Toosii’s mixtape catalog includes 2020’s Platinum Heart and 2021’s Thank You for Believing. The 2021 XXL Freshman Class member’s Boys Don’t Cry EP landed in October 2022.
Fans will have the chance to see Toosii live. He announced the “Naujour Tour” will kick off on July 26 in San Francisco, California. The trek will travel to other cities like Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, New York, and Chicago.
