Family Of Chris Kaba Accuse Cops Of Racism After Unarmed Rapper Shot Dead By Police

The family of Chris Kaba, also known as U.K. drill rapper Madix, are demanding a homicide investigation after a police watchdog group found there were no weapons or firearms in the 24-year-old’s car when he was shot dead by cops. His father deemed the incident resulting in his death “totally racist and criminal.”

Cops Confirm Chris Kaba Was Unarmed

The 24-year-old artist was shot dead by police after a car chase in South London on Monday night (Sept.5). Cops hemmed in his Audi before one round was fired from a police weapon. He was taken to hospital, where he sadly died later that night.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed on Thursday (Sept. 9) that no officer has been suspended, including the cop who fired the fatal round. Authorities also confirmed Madix was unarmed, and no firearm recovered from the scene.

Chris Kaba’s loved ones issued a statement, demanding answers from the authorities: “The family of Chris Kaba seek a homicide investigation into his death from the outset.

“We have told the IOPC of that demand and that we do not want any delay as has happened in other fatal shootings – otherwise we and the wider public can have no confidence that the police will be held to account.

The family said they are “devastated” and in need of “answers” and “accountability” from the police.

“We are worried that if Chris had not been Black, he would have been arrested on Monday evening and not had his life cut short.”

Demands For Justice

Many in the Black community are demanding justice, outraged at the death of another Black man at the hands of the police. However, while in agreement with the sentiment, Chris Kaba’s family wants to ensure all protests “are not only peaceful but also legal,” following changes in the law surrounding protests. “Black communities are often over-policed under the misconception that we act violently, disorderly and with criminality,” the family explained.

“This is exactly why Chris was followed by the police. We do not want to give them the satisfaction of unrest in our communities or playing to these dangerous stereotypes. In our pursuit of justice we will make our voices heard loudly, clearly and with dignity. We ask that you respect our wishes as Chris’ family and allow us to coordinate the various activities we expect in the coming weeks.”

A small crowd gathered outside Lambeth Police Station on Friday to demand answers, despite the protest being canceled.

Many of Chris Kaba’s peers called for action, alongside activists and citizens concerned with by policing of Black people.

The couple gave few details about their split at the time, although, at the time, Saweetie tweeted, “I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt.” During the most recent episode of Caresha Please, Yung Miami grilled her about their relationship, including the infidelity rumors.

“Did Quavo ever cheat on you?” the City Girl asked. Saweetie dogged the questions replying with “huh” while making a face causing Yung Miami to repeat herself. “I think the past is the past and I’ve moved on since then,” Saweetie replied.

50 Cent Tells Nicki Minaj To Go After Lil Kim Over ‘Plan B’ Lyrics: ‘She Said Something About The Baby’

50 Cent has dragged Nicki Minaj into his long-standing beef with Lil Kim over some lyrics from Megan Thee Stallion’s new “Plan B” remix.

The H-Town Hottie and Queen B joined forces on the track after teasing a collab earlier this week. 50 Cent caught wind of the song and decided Lil Kim fired a shot at Nicki in her raps. He took to Instagram, encouraging Nicki to “drag” Lil Kim, sharing a photo of the Brooklyn rapper, comparing her to an owl.

“(Queens Get The Money),” he began in the caption before stirring the pot. He tagged Nicki Minaj, writing: “You better light her ass up i’m watching. she said something about the baby, 🤷🏽‍♂️her baby eye fvcked up. 🤪LOL.” Check out Fiddy’s post below and listen to “Plan B” remix at the end of the page.

On the “Plan B” remix Lil Kim delivers the lines:

“N####, you’s a b####, your father’s a b####, your brother’s a b####

Keep acting like this and your son gon’ be a b####.”

Lil Kim Responds to 50 Cent

Some fans suggested this was a reference to Nicki Minaj. However, Lil Kim denied it and blasted 50 Cent. She took to her Instagram Stories claiming, “I never said a word about anyone’s child.”

Kim says the lyrics are “clearly talking about an ex,” and said any attempt to twist her words is “disgusting.” She added, “I’m one of the most disrespected legends in the game,” adding, “I still can’t believe y’all can’t see through 50’s lame ass, disgraceful, ugly and narcissistic tactics.”

Lil Kim then said 50 Cent is causing “drama and confusion because the girl he wanted is getting too much attention.”

She also told Fiddy’s girlfriend Cuban Link to “get out while you can girl,” tagging her in the post. Lil Kim concluded, “It’s so crazy how a song about b#### ass n##### could touch a b#### ass n##### soul so deeply, that he resorts to attacking a child.” She continued, “I’M THAT B####!!!! Okayyyyy 50 you got me! The song was about YOU!!!” Check out her comments in full below.

Joey Bada$$ Aspires To Star In A Big L Biopic

Joey Bada$$ would like to portray Big L in a potential film about the late rapper.

The 27-year-old artist suggested himself for the role of Big L in an interview with REVOLT. Joey Bada$$ felt the Diggin’ in the Crates member deserved a biopic.

“A Hip Hop icon that I would love to play in a biopic would have to be Big L,” Joey Bada$$ said. “I’ve heard many people in my career tell me how I favor him look-wise. Personally, he’s one of my favorite rappers to come out of the golden age — his story isn’t known well enough, so I would love to bring his story to light and worldwide.”

RBC Records’ Brian Shafton told TMZ he liked the idea. RBC owns some of Big L’s masters.

Joey Bada$$ previously portrayed Inspectah Deck in the first season of Hulu’s series Wu-Tang: An American Saga. Uyoata Udi took over the role in the show’s second season.

Big L emerged with Cam’ron and Ma$e in a group called Children of the Corn. He became part of the D.I.T.C. collective, which included artists such as Fat Joe and Lord Finesse.

The Harlem native dropped his debut album Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous in 1995. The LP featured an appearance by Jay-Z.

Big L, whose real name was Lamont Coleman, was shot and killed in 1999. His second album The Big Picture was posthumously released in 2000.

Young Thug’s Michael Phelps Tweet Causes Trouble In RICO Case

Judge Ural Glanville instituted restrictions on the communication between lawyers and their clients in the Young Thug/YSL RICO case.

The judge called for limitations after prosecutors raised concerns about leaked discovery information and witness intimidation. Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel pushed back, suggesting his client posed no danger to any witness.

Steel also insisted Young Thug had no cell phone access in jail. The prosecution countered the attorney’s claim by citing the rapper’s recent social media activity.

“This is part of the conversation I had with all of you about your teams and everybody else,” Judge Glanville said. “You really gotta zealously clamp down on—it’s like dealing with classified information. It’s need to know at this point in time. And if people don’t need to know, you don’t need to disclose it. And it’s gonna get somebody either hurt or somebody in a lot of trouble.”

Steel responded by defending Young Thug’s Twitter exchange with swimmer Michael Phelps. The lawyer claimed someone else posted it on his client’s behalf.

“That last tweet that was sent out to Michael Phelps is recorded,” Steel said. “It’s been investigated by the sheriff of that county. And it was a conversation that was recorded between [Young Thug] and a member of his close family, close friendships. He asked the other person who’s in control of his Twitter account to send that, or the Instagram, maybe. That is not a reason to [restrict].”

Judge Glanville saw it as an example of Young Thug’s ability to relay messages from behind bars.

“Well, this is part of the conversation, Mr. Steele, you and others are gonna need to have with your clients,” the judge said. “Because this is part of the state’s concern.”

Steel replied, “That was an innocent—that’s nothing bad. Asking somebody to tweet to Michael Phelps, ‘Can you swim 100 miles in the ocean?’ That has nothing to do with intimidation.”

But Judge Glanville was unconvinced by Steel’s arguments.

“Well, if I can communicate through a family member or somebody else, then I can communicate something else,” the judge surmised.

Young Thug will remain in jail while awaiting trial in the RICO case. He was denied bond three times since his arrest in May.

StaySolidRocky Arrested Following Funeral Service Shooting

StaySolidRocky was arrested for allegedly firing shots at a funeral service.

According to multiple reports, U.S. Marshals apprehended the 21-year-old rapper in Atlanta on Thursday (September 8). StaySolidRocky was charged with shooting in an unoccupied building and reckless handling of a firearm.

StaySolidRocky, whose real name is Darak Figueroa, had been on the run since the shooting occurred in Chesterfield, Virginia on August 27. U.S. Marshals received a tip the Texas native might be in the Atlanta area.

The Fugitive Task Force requested assistance from the Atlanta Police Department and the Georgia State Patrol. StaySolidRocky was arrested outside of a barbershop. He was in possession of a gun at the time of his arrest.

Authorities say StaySolidRocky fired shots inside Chesterfield’s New Life Outreach International Church while a funeral was ending. He fled the scene in Virginia and ended up in Georgia.

AllHipHop interviewed StaySolidRocky in 2020. He noted he was originally from San Antonio, Texas. He moved to South Carolina when he was a teenager before settling in Virginia around the age of 15 or 16.

His breakout song “Party Girl” was originally released in 2019. Lil Uzi Vert appeared on a remix of the single in 2020.

Queen Elizabeth II Dies; Twitter Shows No Mercy – Except Nicki Minaj

Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96 on Thursday (September 8).

The Royal Family announced the queen “died peacefully” at Balmoral Castle, her estate in the Scottish Highlands. World leaders mourned her death, but many Twitter users were celebrating the end of the British monarch’s 70-year reign.

Countless jokes, memes and reflections on colonialism flooded Twitter in response to Queen Elizabeth’s death.

Former MLB star Reggie Jackson was among the notable names who joked about Queen Elizabeth’s death. He referenced his memorable cameo in the movie The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! In the film, Jackson gets hypnotized as part of a plot to kill the queen.

“Now we all know I was innocent!” Jackson wrote following Queen Elizabeth’s death. “Amen! RIP Queen E!”

Amid all the Twitter jokes, Nicki Minaj paid her respects to the queen. The Republic Records rapper briefly stopped promoting the “Queen Mix” of her single “Super Freaky Girl” to do so.

“RIP, QUEEN,” Nicki Minaj wrote.

But Nicki Minaj’s politeness was nothing compared to the criticism and mockery on social media.

Check out some of the reactions to Queen Elizabeth’s death below.

Pop-Femme Avivpr Claims His Spot In Alt-Pop Scene

Musical artist Avivpr has finally divulged in the music industry by releasing his own EP. Avivpr, a Musical prodigy, released his own music on all platforms. Avivpr is a multifaceted musical artist and his passion for helping others, fueled his interest to create music that will stimulate cognitive functioning and provide individuals with clarity.

Growing up, Avivpr was surrounded by a family who played multiple instruments and valued music extensively. He became a violin prodigy as a child, competing at the regional level at the age of 13 years old, competing against juniors and seniors as a freshman in high school. By the time he was an undergraduate in college, music was not only a hobby but a vital part of his mental health. Whenever he was stressed, he would reach for his violin to help him relax and center his mind.

While studying, he usually has air pods in his ears, playing the music he loves the most—acclaimed symphonies of classical music. Music helps him regain focus and peace of mind, and he wants to share that experience with others. Through his studies and research, he found suggestions of the plethora of benefits music has on mental health and cognitive functioning. To that end, he has begun producing his own music. His work stimulates the mind, fosters creativity, and nurtures mental health.

After learning of all of the benefits classical music and lo-fi beats can conjure as separate genres, Avivpr decided that he wanted to make and share music that combined both genres with the world. Avivpr’s love for classical music, passion for mental health, and keen ear for melody, aided in the development of his newly released album “Serenity.” Serenity is a five-track EP that conjoins aspects of the violin, flute, and other instruments to create orchestra-based LO-FI tracks that provide relaxation and cognitive stimulation.

Avivpr’s music is perfect for anyone looking to center themselves or find inspiration. This is part of the reason why Avivpr has reached over 5,000 Spotify followers in just a couple of weeks, and why his music has over 20,000 streams on Spotify alone. His songs and album are quickly becoming popular listening points amongst individuals looking for inspiration and clarity, so he hopes to continue producing music and potentially work with other esteemed artists.

‘Hit ‘Em Up!’ Woman Named Tupac Shakur Arrested For Hitting Man With Bat

The headlines read Tupac Shakur arrested in Miami. These are not flashbacks to the early and mid-90s, but a new story and not connected to the late Death Row rapper.

The person arrested is actually named Tupac Shakur and is a 34-year-old woman.

According to CBS News, she was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 6, outside of Hialeah Hospital at 651 E. 25th St. in Hialeah, FL.

Allegedly, Ms. Shakur borrowed a line from her namesake and played “Hit ‘Em Up” with a baseball bat, striking a man sitting on the bench. Luckily, the man was able to secure the bat from the woman.

At this point, she ran to the hospital, where officers arrested her. Though the man suffered injuries from the altercation, he did not want to go to the hospital for medical treatment.

This event happened a day before the 26th anniversary of Pac’s death.

The arrest of Tupac in Florida is not the first time a person with the same name as the revered rapper was arrested. In 2019, a white guy named Tupac Shakur was arrested in for possession of meth and other charges.

On Sept. 7, 1996, the original Tupac Amaru Shakur was murdered in Las Vegas, NV. Unfortunately, the murderers responsible for his death were never found.

Tupac was sitting in a BMW with his label owner Suge Knight when a Cadillac pulled up and shot into the car, striking the platinum-selling artist and robbing the world of one of the most prolific artists of a generation.

His death shifted and exploited the innocence of the culture, never to be restored.

Shoreline Mafia Rapper OhGeesy Busted On Drug And Gun Charges

California rapper OhGeesy, a member of the Shoreline Mafia, was arrested by the Burbank Police Department on Saturday, Sept. 3 during a traffic stop, after officers believed he and four other friends had expired tags and excessive window tint.

According to TMZ, OhGeesy was sitting in the back of the vehicle when the cops pulled his crew over. When peering through the window, the cop saw a bottle of codeine sticking out of OhGeesy’s pocket.

To make matters worse, the driver did not have a license.

This, according to the officers, warranted a search, where it was discovered that OhGeesy did not have a prescription for the super strength cough syrup. Cops also found a fully loaded gun was discovered in the car.

All five people in the car were charged and arrested for possession of a loaded firearm. OhGeesy received an additional charge for the un-prescribed drug.

The artist’s bail was set for $35,000, which he made.

His lawyer Michael A. Goldstein released a statement about the ordeal.

“Although it has been reported that a single firearm was recovered from a bag in the front passenger area, the officers arrested all 5 occupants,” he remarked.  “We look forward to our day in court…assuming this makes it to the front steps of the building.”

RJ Payne Jumps On The Jay-Z “God Did” Beat And Kills It

RJ Payne has been working strategically, but has not put out music as often has he is known for. But, it would seem like Jay-Z has inspired him to drop heavy bars to the StreetRunner-produced track on the new DJ Khaled album. However, Payne does not adhere to the rules. He pounds away at the beat with his signature lyricism. The Philadelphia emcee has promised to restore order. “It breaks my heart to see everybody is still sleeping,” he says as a chainsaw roars in the back. “Its cool. Its time to wake everybody the f#ck up.” On the song he admits to having a song coming with Bun B. Check out “Payne Did” below.

TDE President Punch Responds To SZA Claiming He’s Delaying Her Album

The apparent conflict between R&B vocalist SZA, Top Dawg Entertainment, and RCA Records continues to play out in public. TDE President Terrence “Punch” Henderson Jr. had something to say about the situation.

“It’s 100% Punch and RCA on this one. I wanted the summer. They wanted more time. [At this point,] I’m just tryna have a good time stress free lol,” wrote SZA earlier this year in response to a fan wondering if her next project would arrive before the end of the summer season.

Punch appeared on a recent episode of Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion podcast. The music executive/recording artist responded to SZA’s claims that he is the reason for her sophomore album’s delay.

“You gotta understand the context, and you have to know the person,” said Punch. “You have to know how something was said. If it was lighthearted, if it was serious, like what it was. If she’s responding to somebody and saying, ‘You gotta ask Punch.’ You can take that a gang of different ways based on your disposition.”

Punch also added, “And you only get so many characters when you’re tweeting, and people get a whole story and run with it. What I always like to ask is: What do I gain from not putting the album out?”

Back in 2021, SZA declared, “I really hate my label. So much.” Five years before that, the award-winning singer/songwriter suggested she was ready to quit TDE over her debut album not getting off the shelf at the time.

The Ctrl Album Became A Huge Success For SZA & TDE

SZA’s Ctrl did eventually drop on June 9, 2017, to widespread acclaim. Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, James Fauntleroy, and Isaiah Rashad appeared on the 14-track project as guest features.

Ctrl debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart by earning 60,000 first-week units. Since then, the collection has spent a total of 273 weeks on the album rankings. The RIAA certified Ctrl as 3x-Platinum.

In addition, SZA earned a 6x-Platinum plaque for the Ctrl single “Love Galore” featuring Travis Scott. “The Weekend” surpassed the 5x-Platinum mark as well. The Recording Academy nominated Ctrl for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.

Fivio Foreign’s Ex Accuses Him Of Being A Bisexual Sex Addict

Fivio Foreign broke out this year with his debut studio album B.I.B.L.E. However, there is also some drama taking place around the New York City-raised rapper at the moment.

According to reports, Fivio Foreign’s former longtime girlfriend Jasmine Giselle blasted the “Big Drip” hitmaker on social media. What apparently started as a dispute over money and support for his children, has gotten extremely personal.

During a recent Instagram Live session, Jasmine made accusations about Fivio Foreign’s sexuality. She spoke publicly about what she allegedly saw while in a relationship with the entertainer.

“I’m just telling you my f###### life. I went through his p### history, it was gay s###,” Jasmine claimed. She added, “We talk when we f###. We talk nasty. Instead of saying, ‘This my p####,’ he’d say, ‘Give me that dick.’ At first, I was like maybe because I’m saying dick, he’s saying dick after me, confusing it.”

Apparently, Jasmine spoke to her friends and family members about the situation to see if they believed it was normal for men to “f### up” while having sex. She also warned other women about dating Fivio Foreign.

“Whoever’s pregnant by him, go get an abortion right now because y’all gonna suffer. I’m saying that because I think he got two b###### pregnant right now. He gets around. He f#### everything and he does not use a condom,” said Jasmine. “Y’all gotta be careful. This man is like a sex addict.”

Fivio Foreign reportedly broke up with his latest girlfriend Mellow Rackz in recent weeks. There were rumors that Fivio got back with Jasmine, but she insists the ex-couple’s current relationship is only platonic.

Kim Kardashian To Present ‘The System’ True Crime Podcast

Kim Kardashian signed a deal with Spotify in 2020. In an article for Interview magazine, she confirmed the name of her upcoming show for the streaming platform.

“It’s called The System. The first season is about a really crazy case where a guy got the death sentence for a triple homicide that happened in Ohio,” Kim Kardashian revealed.

The 41-year-old socialite continued, “There are so many twists and turns with how it was handled – or mishandled – and we take the listener along for a journey in search of the truth.”

Eminem Reveals ‘It Took A Long Time For My Brain To Start Working Again’ After Near-Fatal Overdose

Eminem has opened up further on his past struggles with substance abuse

The Detroit native addressed his near-fatal overdose 15 years ago when he was hospitalized after accidentally overdosing on methadone. During a recent episode of Paul Rosenberg’s podcast, Eminem admitted there were concerns he might be left with permanent brain damage. He previously revealed he had been battling an addiction to prescription pills.

Eminem stated that “it took a long time for my brain to start working again” after the incident.

“You literally were coming off of an overdose, and they had to sort of stabilize you with a few medications,” Rosenberg explained. “And some of them took you a minute to adjust to—let’s just leave it at that. So, you’re learning how to rap again almost literally, right? Because it’s the first time, probably, you were creating without having substances in your body in…however many years, right?”

Slim Shady recalled Rosenberg’s worries about any lasting effects of the overdose.

“Didn’t you ask the doctors when I first started rapping again, didn’t you say, ‘I just wanna make sure he doesn’t have brain damage’?” Eminem asked.

Part 1 of Eminem’s interview aired on Sirus XM’s Shade 45 at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday. Paul Rosenberg’s “Paul Pod” podcast is also available on the SXM App and other major podcast platforms.
