Rapper Tsu Surf is not in jail, according to the firsthand account of one of his associates.
On Sunday, Oct. 2, around 8 p.m., battle rap vlogger Vada Fly published a Youtube video saying that he spoke directly to the rapper and that he was not locked up … as of yet.
However, the rumors surrounding the “What If” rapper facing RICO charges out of New Jersey are true.
Surf told Vada Fly that it is not because of something that he has done recently and that he was “blindsided” by the allegations and has no idea why he is being targeted. He did say, according to the YouTuber, that it might be something from his past.
Regretfully, the rapper posted a meme on his Instagram Story, acknowledging whatever is going on is breaking his daughter’s heart.
Tsu Surf Instagram Story Oct. 2
In 2017, Surf was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Before this, he was incarcerated twice before on gun charges. Each of his three arrests appeared to be violent felonies.
On July 25, 2018, the Garden State native was shot three times. He referenced the scars from that altercation in his most recent battle at Summer Madness 12 against JC, when he said he had a “centipede” on his torso.
Surf, whose estimated net worth is between $800,000 and $1,000,000 according to various sources, was arrested again in 2019 for getting caught with an illegal magazine clip and weed. Ironically, he was arrested on the one-year anniversary of the shooting and the actual date of his album, “Seven 25” featuring the hit song “What Changed” featuring Cascio, that was released earlier in the year.
It is important to note that over the last three years, the artist has been redirecting his career, making music with some of Hip-Hop’s top emerging stars, like Benny the Butcher, Jim Jones, Chris Brown, and more. He also released a collaboration with Mozzy on Empire Records called “Blood Cuzzins.”
He created a career for himself as a media personality, taking on the personality of Tsu Sharpe and taking his battle rap career to the next level with one of the longest winning streaks in modern battle rap history.
Shortly after that Vada Fly, someone took to Surf’s Instagram Live and played new music from a studio. Thousands tuned in to hear the new music, but also hoping to hear from the superstar.
Early Saturday afternoon, rumors started to emerge that battle rapper Tsu Surf, whose real name is Rahjon Cox, was being arrested on RICO charges.
Conflicting stories prevailed with some saying members of his Crip gang have been arrested and he was on the run, and others saying he was going to turn himself in.
While the details of his detainment are sparse, the internet is swarming with well wishes making #FreeSurf and #FreeTheWave trend. This comes immediately after he beat his opponent JC at the Ultimate Rap League’s Summer Madness 12 event in Charlotte, NC, and performed a masterful set at the Rolling Loud Festival in New York City, hours apart.
Surf’s manager gave a trial of cryptic messages, suggesting someone might have said something that they should not have. This possibly is not connected to Surf’s case at all, but a few general messages.
“Don’t ever disrespect your inside for an outsider’s entertainment…..under no circumstances. A person that don’t live in my house or never been in my house would never know what goes on behind closed doors. You are an outsider for a reason.”

“Get a person angry or drunk and they’ll tell you how they really feel about you. Whole time you thinking yall tight and the moment something goes not as planned they say or do something you never would’ve imagined.”

However, as one of the key architects in the Raw Bunch Entertainment movement, the brand and label that Surf owns and distributes his content through, this message is loud and clear: when working on greatness and countering a crisis, one has no room for any distractions.
“I’m tryna build a brand and a legacy……no time for negativity.”

Gun Titles founding member Tay Roc took to Twitter at 8:04 on Sunday, Oct. 2, changing his moniker to FreeTheTitles, and tweeting, “GUNTITLES Forever ! #DaBiggest 🦇🌊.”
He later hopped on Instagram around 1 p.m. later in the day to send positive energy to his brother Surf. He posted a picture of the two together, both dressed in orange and black, with the caption, “Free The Wave 🔓🌊😔.”
Rap music has recently been under attack with many big city prosecutors zeroing on alleged gang members or associates thriving in the culture. From New York to Georgia to Illinois to Florida, three forms of emceeing have taken front stage and have District Attorneys combing through rappers’ songs and pieces of art to link them to crime. Those subgenres are Trap, Drill, and Florida’s popular Murder rap.
They are even dissecting battle rap lyrics, a space where Tsu Surf has been noted as one of the most prolific artists in his generation— going undefeated over the last year and a half (15-0).
When the prosecution tries to get artists on RICO charges, they move to connect them to violence and criminal activity connected to an organized group. The acronym is Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and it is a United States federal offense.
LexisNexis states “New Jersey Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“New Jersey RICO”), N.J.S.A. § 2C:41-2(c), the plaintiff must demonstrate (1) the existence of an enterprise, (2) that the enterprise engaged in or its activities affected trade or commerce, (3) that defendant was employed by, or associated with the enterprise, (4) that he participated in the conduct of the affairs of the enterprise, and (5) that he participated through a pattern of racketeering activity.”
“In order to demonstrate a pattern of racketeering activity under New Jersey RICO, the plaintiff must show (1) that the defendant committed at least two predicate acts and (2) that the incidents of racketeering activity embrace criminal conduct that has either the same or similar purposes, results, participants or victims or methods of commission or are otherwise interrelated by distinguishing characteristics and are not isolated incidents,” it continues to explain.
If Surf is being accused of RICO charges, like the case of Young Thug, they will try and pin a series of crimes, including murder and money laundering to his enterprise, which includes his career both in commercial and battle rap entertainment.
While this is not the first time that Surf has been connected to violence, arrested and/or locked up, no evidence has been produced to support any claims to this alleged rumor surrounding his detainment.
He has been on record in a series of interviews, saying that the violent lyrics in his art can also be seen as “wrestling.”
The West Coast legend said their music is often just entertainment and should not be taken more seriously than Stephen King novels.
After these posts, Tsu Surf released his own statement on his Instastory.
One was a screenshot of two songs from a project to be released in October. One is called, “Die Legend” (2 min. 49 sec.) and another “Free Me 1” (2 min. 14 sec.).

A 27-year-old Russian rapper died by suicide after being drafted to fight for his country in a war he believed was unjust.
According to The U.S. Sun, rapper Walkie, whose real name is Ivan Vitalievich Petunin, shared with his friends that he could not “take the sin of murder on my soul” by becoming a soldier.
On Friday, Walkie’s body was discovered near a high-rise building in Krasnodar, a city in Russia, after talking to his fans about his decision.
This was not the first time he was ordered to serve in the Russian Army. Previously, he had to serve did not enjoy it and told his fans, “If you are watching this video, then I am no longer alive.”
“I can’t take the sin of murder on my soul and I don’t want to. I am not ready to kill for any ideals,” he said.
“I choose to remain in history forever,” he continued. “As a man who did not support what was happening. I am not ready to take up arms and kill my own kind.”
The first way he tried to get out of fighting by getting signed into a mental hospital. When that didn’t work, he said taking his life was “a way to express his final protest.”
His drafting was only one person in the 300,000 extra soldiers that Putin needs to continue his fight with the Ukraine.
The Russo-Ukrainian War has been going on since 2014, with a recent uptick on February 24, 2022.
Christina Aguilera has recalled how she had to battle music executives to be allowed to record using her last name.
During an interview staged for Billboard Latin Music Week, the “Beautiful” hitmaker – whose father hails from Ecuador – revealed that she was encouraged by label bosses to take on a stage name at the start of her career but refused as she wanted to celebrate her heritage.
Christina insisted she is “proud” of her surname and added: “Something that I really embody and understand is that, you know, this is a name that has been tried to be taken away from me on numerous occasions coming up in this business. It’s not the easiest name for everyone to pronounce. It’s been butchered a lot.”
Noting that she rejected some “bad names,” the 41-year-old continued: “I was like no, ‘I’m Aguilera, I’m proud of where I come from.’ My father being from Ecuador.”
Christina has now celebrated her name further by calling her second Spanish language album, Aguilera.
“(I wanted to) pay nod, and tribute to that,” she explained. “Why not come full circle in all of the chapters and close it on a name, my name.”
Aguilera debuted in May and was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards.
Kamron Bahani is an artist hailing from Rockland County, NY; he’s released a song with Connecticut artist, ANoyd, in his new song “cy now, cry later”. The beat is crafted nicely with a contemporary, yet boom-bap feel. It’s reminiscent of the golden age of hip hop; both artists take lyrical and fiery approaches on their verses with clever wordplay, impressive flows & talents that can’t be denied. Kamron Bahani is gearing up for his new release titled, “Melodies 4 The Melancholy”, a project that delves deep into the realm of mental health, as well as the struggles that come along with it.
The content of this song radiates grandiosity but self-awareness. Lines like, “I think of life as gathering guests preparing your funeral”, hit especially hard knowing that the world is full of comparisons and ego. Either way, this New York artist has a ton of promise. You can follow Kamron Bahani on Instagram & stream the track below.
50 Cent unveiled three films he’s working on with horror director/producer Eli Roth.
The G-Unit rapper teamed up with Eli Roth for a three-picture deal in 2020. Two years later, details about the movies emerged.
50 Cent and Eli Roth will produce three horror flicks: Creature House, The Gun and Trackmaster. The writers include Kirkland Morris, who worked on 50 Cent’s shows BMF and Power Book IV: Force.
“It was extremely important to me that through my horror slate we focus on increasing BIPOC representation,” 50 Cent told Deadline. “I feel like I have the best team in place here to do so.”
Eli Roth added, “I’m a huge fan of 50 as an artist and producer and am so excited to bring these stories to life. The whole team has put together an exciting trio of films which will terrify and thrill audiences globally.”
50 Cent and Eli Roth’s Creature House features a group of friends getting trapped in a horror movie museum. The film was written by Dallas Jackson and Kevin Grevioux.
The Gun tells the story of a man who finds a haunted gun while seeking revenge for his father’s murder. Kirkland Morris wrote the script.
Trackmaster depicts a rap duo who unwittingly releases a deadly spirit into the world. Justin Calen-Chenn penned the screenplay.
Shania Twain has recalled how a dinner with Oprah Winfrey turned “sour” amid a conversation about religion.
In the latest episode of the “Table Manners with Jessie & Lennie Ware” podcast, the Canadian singer-songwriter was asked to discuss one of the most memorable meals she has ever had.
“I think one of my most memorable dinners was with Oprah Winfrey. She’s such a smart lady,” she began. “It was great to just sit and have real talks, but as soon as we started talking about religion, it all went sour. So, I said, ‘Let’s stop talking about religion!’ She is quite religious.”
It’s unclear when the dinner took place, though Shania indicated it was in the ’90s.
“Everyone always says, ‘Never talk about politics or religion.’ It just wasn’t debatable. There was no room for debate, and I like to debate,” the 57-year-old continued. “Canadians like to debate everything. So, I’m like, ‘Oh, OK. It’s time to change the subject.'”
As for her views, Shania shared that she is more “spiritual” than religious.
“I’m not religious in the sense that I’m dedicated to a religion. I’m much more of a spiritual person… I would say I’m a seeker,” she mused.
Rapper Jim Jones has taken to social media to blast the biggest urban network, BET, for not allowing him to attend its Hip Hop Awards Show on Friday, Sept. 30.
On Instagram, the Harlem native expressed his disappointment, saying, “I was tryin to go to th bet hip hops awards and support my brother @fatjoe and this how a @bet handled me lol lol Dam (sic).”
Adding, “@BET I thought this was th hip hop award show. Somebody tell @fatjoe I tried. Don’t want him think I ain’t keep my word. Told him I was comin. But BeT says different mayb next time. Tear tht s### down joe.”
“They still talkin Covid and th cdc says ain’t no more Covid lol,” he ended this caption.
In a meme he posted their response to his request for tickets.
He wrote, “Also, I had requested you to participate and/ or attend as we did in the past. Their response: Thank you for your inquiry! At this time, we are unable to accommodate additional audience talent requests. Due to COVID-19 protocols in place, this year’s show and red carpet are reserved for in-show talent, nominees and selected participating network partners only.”
Stormzy criticized those who view diversity as a “buzzword” and a “box to tick” when he accepted an Association of Independent Music (AIM) award.
The British rapper won the Diversity Champion prize at the 2022 AIM Independent Music Awards in London but questioned whether those attending all understood the importance of the word.
“I encourage everyone in the room today to not just use diversity as a buzzword, but for you lot, whatever position you’re in, whatever role you play, to really be a driving factor for it and not just see it as a quota or as a box to tick,” he said in a pre-recorded acceptance speech. “Really see the worth and the value in being diverse. Thank you to the AIM Awards and God be the glory.”
Wet Leg was handed the award for UK Independent Breakthrough, and Nova Twins – another all-female duo made up of Amy Love and Georgia South – secured the prize for Best Independent Track for “Antagonist.”
Meanwhile, veteran rockers The Libertines received the Special Recognition accolade.
Christian Bale stopped speaking to Chris Rock on the set of “Amsterdam” because the comedian made him laugh too much.
The British actor reunited with his “American Hustle” director David O. Russell for the mystery-comedy, in which he, Margot Robbie, and John David Washington play three friends who become prime suspects in a murder case.
The trio is joined by a star-studded supporting cast featuring the likes of Rock, Zoe Saldana, Robert De Niro, and Rami Malek.
In an interview with Indiewire, Bale revealed that Rock made him laugh so much on his first day on set that he couldn’t get into the mindset of his character Burt and had to distance himself.
“I was excited to meet him, I’m a big fan of his stand-up,” he shared. “David told him to tell me some stories that I didn’t know he was gonna tell me, which is the way David works often. And I was loving it.”
“But Chris is so bloody funny, and I found that I couldn’t act because I was just becoming Christian laughing at Chris Rock. So, I had to go to him, I went, ‘Mate, I love talking to you, and we have mutual friends, but I can’t do it anymore. Because David didn’t ask me to make this film so he could just watch me giggle. He wants me to be Burt, and I’m forgetting how to be Burt.'”
Bale explained that he often isolates himself from his co-stars because it helps his acting process.
“I often meet these incredible people, but I isolate myself,” he noted. “Because if I get to know people too much, I find I just don’t believe what I’m doing in the scene.”
“Amsterdam” is released in cinemas on October 7th.
Jimmy Kimmel has insisted there was no ill intent meant with the controversial bit he performed at the 2022 Emmy Awards.
Prior to presenting the award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series at the ceremony staged in Los Angeles earlier in the month, the talk show host was dragged across the floor by Will Arnett as part of a joke.
But when Jimmy remained onstage after Quinta Brunson won the writing prize for “Abbott Elementary,” which she created and also stars in, and stayed there during her speech, fans called out the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host online for being “disrespectful.”
Addressing the situation during an appearance on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show,” Jimmy maintained that he had no idea that he would be in view of the TV cameras.
“How I visualized this happening is, (Will) drags me out, we read the winner, and then I’m just basically just out of the shot, and it’s not really a factor,” he explained. “But the stage was very different. The stage was like a catwalk. So, I was kind of like, in the way. Some people read racial stuff into this, and everybody has their own perspective, but the fact of the matter is… this was a plan I had no matter who (won).”
“It did take away – especially afterwards – because then she (Quinta) had to answer questions about (my prank) instead of just celebrating her Emmy,” the 54-year-old added.
The week after the Emmys, Jimmy issued a public apology to Quinta during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
She accepted his apology and insisted that the drama didn’t impact her night.
“Jimmy let me just say thank you. It’s very kind of you to say that. Honestly, I was in such a moment of having a good time. I won my first Emmy! I was up there like, you know, happy!” the 32-year-old exclaimed. “And I was wrapped up in the moment, just having a good time. I didn’t see any of that… honestly, I had a good night. It was a good night and a good time.”
Kylie Jenner has opened up about why she changed her baby son’s name.
The reality TV personality and her boyfriend Travis Scott welcomed their second child together in February, a sibling for their four-year-old daughter Stormi.
“I think we know his official name but I’m not going to announce it because God forbid we change it again. We really didn’t have a name,” the 25-year-old told her mother Kris Jenner. “I just thought it was gonna just come to us when we saw him. And it didn’t.”
Kylie went on to note that it was her older half-sister Khloé Kardashian who suggested the name Wolf, and she liked the idea, especially as Travis’s real name is Jacques Webster II.
However, when it came time to submit a birth certificate, the star “felt the pressure” to name her baby, even though she wasn’t entirely convinced.
“So, we just put Wolf Webster in that moment,” she recalled. “Right after I signed the birth certificate, I was like, ‘What did I just do?'”
Kylie has not yet officially changed her son’s name, and though she accepts the drama is now “part of his story,” she joked that Travis is still is dreaming up different options.
“He’ll come back and be like, ‘I really like this name.’ And then for the day, he’ll call him that,” the Kylie Cosmetics founder continued. “And I’m like, ‘We can’t do this again.'”
Former NFL star turned rapper Antonio Brown has broken his silence on a shocking video that shows him exposing himself to a woman in a pool.
Earlier this morning (October 1st), The New York Post released a video shot in May, when Brown was in Dubai for Floyd Mayweather’s boxing exhibition match.
Brown was staying at the posh Dubai Hotel on May 14th when he decided to take a dip in the pool.
He tries to put a scarf around her head as she attempts to swim away. Then, Antonio Brown lifts his bare body out of the water and exposes himself to the woman, other people around the pool, and even the unnamed individuals filming his actions.
https://youtu.be/q8l6eXlWx_o
According to reports, the woman was furious with Brown and reported him to employees, who kicked him out of the Hotel Dubai.
The video quickly went viral across social media, prompting Brown to reply to a groundswell of criticism claiming he assaulted the woman.
“It’s crazy to me that even after I retire there is disinformation coming out about me. Ironically, during a time when the NFL is getting heat for allowing players to play when they’re clearly concussed,,” Antonio Brown said, blaming racists for the video.
“They’ve been using black men as guinea pigs,” Antonio Brown claimed.
It’s crazy to me that even after I retire there is disinformation coming out about me. Ironically, during a time when the NFL is getting heat for allowing players to play when they’re clearly concussed. They’ve been using black men as guinea pigs.
According to Brown, unnamed conspirators used the video to “take the heat off themselves.” He also offered up an explanation as to why he was stark naked in the pool.
“In the video you can clearly see she runs off with my swim trunks. If roles were reversed the headlines would read “AB having a wild night with nude female”. Yet when it’s me it automatically becomes a hate crime,” Antonio Brown said in response to users calling for his arrest for sexual assault.
Every chance they get to sway the heat off themselves they use me. In the video you can clearly see she runs off with my swim trunks. If roles were reversed the headlines would read “AB having a wild night with nude female”.Yet when it’s me it automatically becomes a hate crime
Unfortunately, Antonio Brown’s explanation for being naked in the pool, thrusting his butt into the woman’s face, and showing his private parts, did nothing to quell the criticism against him on social media.
Take a look at all the reactions.

The only reason why #AntonioBrown Antonio Brown is keep doing those outrageous things is because he keeps getting away with every single thing without suffering any real consequences. He is never going to pay for it because he is Antonio Brown NFL player. He should be arrested.
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer football player Antonio Brown is under fire after a video of him exposing himself to a female hotel guest surfaced on social media.
Though the video was leaked on Saturday, October 1st, the incident happened in the spring on May 14th at the Armani Hotel Dubai.
According to New York Post, the footage shows the wide receiver relaxing naked with nothing but gold chains on and flashing his private parts in a woman’s face while the two were swimming in the pool.
Another time, he puts his bare behind in her face.
At first, the lady is seen laughing, but as the video progresses, she looks like she just wants to get away from Brown.
Another video shows him trying to tie a scarf around her, but she was able to get out of that situation. But videos make him look incredibly cringe-tactical, especially when he says to her, “you want it.”
One fan reposted the now-viral video and captioned, “Antonio Brown sexually assaults visibly uncomfortable woman and then exposes his penis to multiple guests****** I mean seriously did you guys even watch the video? He grabbed her and threw her back down in the water. No wonder she went into the hotel crying. What a sick pervert.”

After the incident and reports of other guests complaining of his antics, Brown was asked to leave the hotel. A rep for the hotel declined to comment and refused to reveal the name of the woman.
The California governor has become the first state to prohibit prosecutors from using rap lyrics when charging artists in criminal cases, specifically high-profile rappers.
According to TMZ, on Friday, Sept. 30, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 2799 and was accompanied by top chart-toppers who tuned in virtually on zoom. Artists standing with the governor were Too $hort, Meek Mill, Killer Mike, Tyga, YG, E-40, and Tu Dolla $ign.
Other influencers from the music industry also tapped in.
This bill is similar to that AllHipHop.com reported didn’t pass earlier in the New York state’s legislature.
Many of the artists from the Golden State believe their creativity would be hindered if prosecutors could use their lyrics against them.
Georgia, Illinois, and Florida have moved to use rap lyrics in several cases involving rappers, linking them to crimes that they allegedly confessed to in their music.
Young Thug and Gunna and many of the other YSL rappers are being held on RICO charges and their lyrics are being used to keep them locked away and will be entered in as evidence when their case goes to trial.
But West coast pioneer Ice Cube said that the things that they say in their music is often just entertainment and should not be taken more seriously than Stephen King novels.
“It definitely took a toll on me as a younger kid,” Caleb said. “My very first Comic Con, some people didn’t stand in my line because I was Black. Some people told me, ‘Oh I didn’t want to be in your line because you were mean to Eleven’.”
In “Stranger Things” season one, Lucas and Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown) fight over her misdirecting them in the forest before reconciling.
“Even now, some people don’t follow me or don’t support me because I’m Black,” Caleb continued at the convention. “Sometimes overseas, you feel the racism, you feel the bigotry. Sometimes it’s hard to talk about and for people to understand, but when I was younger, it definitely affected me a lot.
“Because I was born with this beautiful chocolate skin, I’m not loved… But that’s why with my platform, I want to spread positivity and love because I do not give hate back to people who give hate to me.”
Caleb will reprise his role as Lucas in the fifth and final series, set for release in 2024.
Ed Sheeran is set to face a jury in New York over a copyright infringement case about his 2014 song “Thinking Out Loud.”
The British singer was sued by Structured Asset Sales, which owns a stake in the copyrights of songwriter Ed Townsend, in 2018 over a claim that he copied Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On,” which Townsend co-wrote with “Thinking Out Loud.”
Sheeran and his legal team tried to have the lawsuit dismissed by arguing that the elements he is accused of copying are “commonplace and unprotectable.”
However, Judge Louis Stanton declined to do so on Thursday and ruled that the case should be decided by a jury at a Manhattan federal courthouse. A date was not set.
“There is no bright-line rule that the combination of two unprotectable elements is insufficiently numerous to constitute an original work,” the judge wrote about Sheeran’s argument for dismissal.
“A work may be copyrightable even though it is entirely a compilation of unprotectable elements.”
An attorney for Structured Asset Sales, Hillel Parness, told Reuters the company was “pleased” with the decision, while Sheeran has yet to comment.
The news comes months after Sheeran went on trial in the U.K. accused of copying Sami Chokri’s 2015 song “Oh Why” with his 2017 single “Shape of You.”
After he won the case in April, he said on Instagram, “I hope with this ruling, it means in the future baseless claims like this can be avoided. This really does have to end… Hopefully, we can all get back to writing songs rather than having to prove that we can write them.”
Gaye’s music has been involved in copyright lawsuits before. His heirs successfully took Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams to trial over claims their song “Blurred Lines” infringed on Gaye’s “Got to Give It Up” in 2015.
They are not involved in the current legal action.
However, Billboard reports that several of Townsend’s other heirs have filed a separate case against Sheeran over their stake.
Do you absolutely love music? Are you more passionate about music than anything else in your life? If this sounds like you, you may be wondering how to turn your love and passion for music into a legitimate career. One that can sustain you and perhaps your family if you have one. Many of us spend our youth dreaming of being a rock star, a stage legend, a king or queen of the microphone. And some of us hold onto that dream well into our adulthood. Not everyone can be Bad Bunny, Michael Jackson, or Prince, though.
Luckily, you don’t have to be a star to get paid to be involved in the music industry. It might not necessarily be easy, and like with any career – putting in the time, learning, and being consistent is the best way to rise. Additionally, networking and socializing with the right people is always helpful in any field and specifically creative fields. If you want to dedicate your life to music and make a career out of it along the way, these are some of the best jobs worth exploring.
Video and Sound Engineering
Video and sound engineers are some of the most important people in making live concerts happen, as well as creating the universe and characters in video games and films. Video and sound engineers deal with mapping the sound effects and character voices in these various digital and virtual experiences.
This is a rather technical aspect and definitely requires a bit of education to get into. However, these positions are often very lucrative and can make for a very fulfilling and versatile career. Sometimes video and sound engineers are even tasked with scoring and composing for video games, films, tv shows, or other pieces of media.
Recording Engineering
Dr. Dre is one of the most well-known producers of the generation. Anyone who watched last year’s super bowl halftime show saw the reason why he remains a hip-hop icon. What maybe you didn’t know is that producer is just another term for recording engineer.
Recording engineers spend their time recording, editing, and mixing sounds for artists. This can be in the context of a producer like Dr. Dre, or it could be in the context of an in-house recording engineer for a sound studio. Either way, the recording engineer manages both the artistic and technical aspects of the recording session and often helps with editing and fine-tuning tracks in post-production.
Besides deep in the studio world of mixing, recording engineers can also work for television, film, or concert production studios.
Directing and Conducting
Directing and conducting is another great way for music lovers to immerse themselves in the world of music. Although, this is a relative niche market, especially in today’s day and age. Most conductors and directors work for schools, or youth programs, although some have the honor of leading programs like the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, or conducting a live orchestral performance at a broadway musical.
Though reaching these heights as a conductor might be just as hard as being one of the star musicians themselves.
Teaching Music
In a similar vein to conducting and directing, teaching music is one of the most popular and accessible ways for someone to cement a career in the field and world of music.
From elementary and grade school programs all the way up through high school and universities, music teachers of all skills and knowledge levels are more than necessary. By getting a degree in music education, you’re opening yourself up to a whole world of possibilities as far as working in the world of music goes.
Journalism, Writing, and Music News
Another way to get involved in music without being the star of the show is through publicity. This involves journalism and content production in, about, and around music. This is also a very versatile way for a music-lover to make a career out of their passion.
Music journalists can cover any range of music topics that interest them as long as they can find an interesting angle and an audience for the article. And since most artists worth writing about have at least some sort of following; this makes for a direct and easy instant target audience for those pieces.
Being an Agent
Finally, being an agent or getting into music distribution are two of the other popular career paths that people can take to stay involved in the music scene. Being an agent involves signing artists and garnering opportunities for them, while music distribution is about putting the artists’ music in front of listeners all over the world.
Wrapping up on Careers for the Music Lover
There are a variety of ways that music lover can take their passion and turn it into a career. From music education and teaching opportunities to becoming an agent or getting involved with music distribution, there’s a career path in music for anyone who wants to take one.

This young genius mind wants her supporters to enjoy and indulge in this track, but also to realize and understand the message she is trying to convey.
Brendash V is genuinely becoming the game’s female goat. Her tenacity and heart go way beyond her petite frame. She exudes a level of confidence that all of the greats before her did at the beginning of their career. She uses it as steam to power the locomotive that is her fast-rising career and only further thrust her into the bright spotlight that the music scene has to offer. Her ferocious style stood out and proved that she belonged in the industry.
