Tiana Major9 Talks ‘Fool Me Once’ EP, Tour Life, Kendrick Lamar’s Impact & More

East London-born Jamaican R&B & Hip Hop songstress Tiana Major9 has truly affected the culture as such a versatile artist with her own hypnotic hybrid of R&B, jazz, soul, and rap.

The uniquely talented artist has now released her ‘Fool Me Once’ EP while simultaneously being on the ‘Heaux Tales’ tour with Jazmine Sullivan.

From MOBO Award nominations to Grammy nominations, the new neo-soul leading light shows no signs of slowing down.

Tiana Major9 previously garnered a Grammy nomination for “Best R&B Song” for her collaboration with EARTH-GANG on “Collide,” from the Queen & Slim soundtrack.

With widespread acclaim and hundreds of millions of streams to-date, Tiana Major9 has certainly made her mark across genres.

AllHipHop’s Rea Davis had a chance to speak to Tiana Major9 about her new EP, tour life, her Grammy nod, biggest influences, and much more.

AllHipHop: You are such a versatile artist. Who are some of your biggest influences?

Tiana Major9: I would say Lauryn Hill, D’Angelo, and Amy Winehouse just to name a few.

AllHipHop: What was it like growing up in East London?

Tiana Major9: I would say normal to me, but I guess that means nothing to you.

Tiana Major9: What do mean specifically?

AllHipHop: For those who’ve never been to London, take us there.

Tiana Major9: We wore our school uniforms. Um I went to a mixed school. It was very cold. We used to watch a lot of American TV.

AllHipHop: How old were you when you learned you wanted to do music, and how did your upbringing affect that career trajectory?

Tiana Major9: I was five, and I learned to sing or I loved singing in the church. So going to church every Sunday just solidified the fact that I wanted to sing, and just like sing for the rest of my life.

AllHipHop: So how did it feel when you received the Grammy nomination?

Tiana Major9: I didn’t believe it. I mean I understand why it received the nomination, “Collide” sorry because it’s a beautiful song, and it really touched people. It really reached people, but I think at the time I was just like I can’t believe this is happening because I was like a baby in my career, and no one knows me yet. People know me now.

AllHipHop: How did you celebrate?

Tiana Major9: I just had…it was like a virtual Grammys, so I was just at home. I ordered from this place called Sushisamba which is like Japanese and Brazilian sushi, and I got my dad to go pick it up because they weren’t doing delivery. I just got dressed up at home and ate sushi and drank.

AllHipHop: So how has pandemic life been for you?

Tiana Major9: Um, it’s been cool. I’ve been able to work. The first half of it was quite hard because we couldn’t really do much. We couldn’t travel, but as things started to ease up around the world, I was able to travel, come back to LA and just shoot videos and content and just be in the studio and be around people, but the first half, it was really tough, especially because I was living alone as well. It was very hard.

AllHipHop: What can we expect from the ‘Fool Me Once’ EP?

Tiana Major9: ‘Fool Me Once’ we can expect or you can expect a song called “2 Seater” featuring Smino which was one of our first ever sessions. It just became this song. What else can you expect… You can expect two other songs. I’ve been performing these songs on the road. There’s a song called “Try Peace” and then another song called “On God!” and yeah some of my favorite writing that I’ve ever done.

AllHipHop: How has tour life been so far?

Tiana Major9: Tour life has been good. It’s been good. I think we’re on our fourth show, fifth show; LA’s tomorrow. Um it’s been very… I feel like it’s been exactly how I expected it to be kinda thing. It’s nice being able to see different parts of America. Being able to say that I’ve travelled and performed for my fans that I probably would’ve never done if I wasn’t on this tour, at this point.

AllHipHop: Of the cities that you have left on the tour, what are some of the cities that are your favorite to visit, or you are most excited about visiting?

Tiana Major9: I’m excited about going to New Orleans. Never been there before. I can’t wait to go back to New York. I love New York. Where else? Um, I think Houston. I think Houston’s on it. Houston. Atlanta. I love the south.

AllHipHop: Who are your Top 5 favorite rappers dead or alive?

Tiana Major9: I would say Biggie definitely. Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar. Top 5 ooh, top five, top five. Um, I would say Cole. I think Cole’s definitely in there. Fourth one though, I meant fifth one. I don’t know. It’s quite hard. I only have four.

AllHipHop: Who are your Top 5 favorite singers dead or alive?

Tiana Major9: Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Beyonce, Whitney Houston, and Ella Fitzgerald.

AllHipHop: Who would you like to see in a Verzuz battle?

Tiana Major9: I would like to see, I think Mariah Carey and Beyoncé.

AllHipHop: Who are some of your dream artists to work with?

Tiana Major9: I would love to work with Giveon. I’d love to work with Beyoncé. Jazmine Sullivan too. I think it would be dope if we wrote a song together. Lizzo as well. I think Lizzo could be a dope collaborator.

AllHipHop: Who are you currently listening to right now?

Tiana Major9: Who am I listening to? I’m just listening to my own stuff at the moment to be honest. I’m just so like tunnel vision right now with my own music, so mainly my own stuff, and the stuff that comes on from Apple Music suggestions, but just mainly my own stuff right now.

AllHipHop: So what’s next for you? We know you are on tour, we know you have the project that’s going to be preceding the album. What else is next for Tiana?

Tiana Major9: Next, again more new music, um visuals. Hopefully my own tour with headline shows. Just more work.

AllHipHop: What do you want your legacy to be years from now?

Tiana Major9: I want my legacy to be like I’m being true to myself; I’m being honest. I want my voice to be strong on the things I say to be something…I just want my inner self and my honest self to come out. I want my legacy to be honesty.

AllHipHop: Who do you feel are the most impactful Hip Hop artists over the last decade?

Tiana Major9: Ooh, I think Kendrick. He’s just; I think he’s the full package. Like he has lyrics. He has great music, He has his visuals. He has something to stay. Yeah I think Kendrick’s just one of my favorites.

Damon Dash Denies Settlement Talks With With Jay-Z Over “Reasonable Doubt” – “Court Is Corny”

Damon Dash has disputed claims that he and Jay-Z are edging close to a settlement on their Reasonable Doubt NFT dispute.

AllHipHop.com broke the news that Jay-Z’s lawyer Alex Spiro informed a judge that the two sides were working towards a settlement after Damon tried to sell the album as an NFT.

“The parties are also in the process of meeting and conferring to determine whether they can reach a settlement agreement that would resolve this case,” Sprio told a judge earlier this week.

Jay-Z and Damon Dash Close To Settling "Reasonable Doubt" Lawsuit

However, Damon, the co-founder of Roc-a-Fella, one of the most influential brands in Hip-Hop, said that they are far from settling.

After posting a screenshot of a headline promoting the alleged settlement on Instagram, the Harlem hustler warned his followers, “Please don’t believe this hype. We are nowhere near a settlement.”

The caption continued, “They accused me of doing something I did not do and now they have to prove it.”

Damon Dash continued to punctuate his rights and wrote on the post, “And I can sell my share anytime I want #askthejudge.”

This is not the first time that Dame has brought this up. As reported by AllHipHop.com, Dash appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast and said, “[Jay-Z] sued me for something he said that I did that I didn’t.”

He continued, “Then I just had to sue him because he was redirecting funds for ‘Reasonable Doubt’ [and] I didn’t realize it.”

Consistent with his Sharpe interview, Damon told his former friends and partners to get the courts out of their business and handle their differences as men.

The captioned concluded, “#Jayz and @Biggsburke if you wanna settle this holla at me…we use to hustle together…court is corny… let’s talk like men for the culture… I dare y’all to respond #doitfortheculture.”

Jay-Z, Biggs Burke, and Dame Dash founded Roc-A-Fella Records in 1995.

The first album, Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt, is considered one of best rap records of all time. The lawsuit is rooted in a court deciding what rights Damon Dash has to sell this work if any.

Kim Kardashian Reveals Pete Davidson Has “My Girl’s A Lawyer” Tattoo Dedicated To Her

Pete Davidson has had Kim Kardashian’s name permanently “branded” onto his chest.

Earlier this week, rumors swirled that the “Saturday Night Live” star had chosen to get the word “KIM” tattooed onto his torso after the reality TV star’s ex-husband Kanye West leaked an image of a shirtless Pete on Instagram.

During an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Kim confirmed Pete had honored her with the inking, which is even more permanent than a traditional tattoo.

“(It) isn’t a tattoo, it’s actually a branding,” she said, making a stamping gesture. “Because he wanted to do something that was really different. (Pete told Kim), ‘I don’t want to be able to get rid of it or to cover it up, and I just wanted it there as like a scar on me.'”

In addition, Kim divulged that Pete, 28, has several other tattoos dedicated to her.

“He has a few tattoos, a few cute ones, that he got,” the 41-year-old revealed, indicating that the actor has at least three new pieces of body art. “(They are) cutesy things…my favorite one… says, ‘My girl is a lawyer.'”

Kim, who was legally declared single as part of her divorce proceedings from Kanye earlier this month, began dating Pete last November.

And during the conversation, the beauty mogul indicated that she is happier than ever.

“I think it’s just in life, like no matter what it is, I just think I encourage my friends and the people that I love just to be happy,” she continued. “And I went for it. I was like: ‘You know what, I’m in my 40s like f### it, just go for it. Find your happiness.’ I went for it and I took my time…I found it and it feels so good. I want to hold on to that forever.”

WorldIsGualaa Releases His Latest Visual “5 AM in Miami”

Up and coming artist, WorldIsGualaa from New Jersey just released his single “5 am in Miami”. Working like crazy with his team since the pandemic started, a visual will also drop for the song. This song is about a guy stuck in his head about 2 different women, a lover’s quarrel if you will. The song “5 AM in Miami” brings a vibe that is easy to get into. This song is a whole different feel from the last song WorldIsGualaa put out, Eye 4 Eye which was deeper in another way, speaking more on the people he’s lost

During his basketball career, WorldIsGualaa lost both his brother and best friend. These two life-changing events did exactly that, changed his life. He became more serious about figuring out what to do with his life and went hard. He chose music because it’s a sincere and expressive form of art. A way he can release his pain and listeners can relate and release theirs.

After graduating from Wilmington University, WorldIsGualaa began taking music seriously in April 2020. He then dropped an 8 track EP, to basically let his presence and capabilities be known. This kick-started him continuing to use music to express. Now is dropping songs and visuals in pairs and talking about defining his sound. He calls himself the hardest to impress because he isn’t easily wowed but I think it will be easy for him to impress us.

“I’m the hardest to impress it takes a lot to impress me. I don’t be hype or follow trends – the hardest to impress.

Make sure to follow him on all social media @Worldisgualaa and GO listen to his new single “5 AM in Miami” and let him know if you’re impressed.

Benny The Butcher On Critics Of His Lyrics: I’m Not MLK Or Malcolm X

Buffalo-bred emcee Benny The Butcher recently came back with Tana Talk 4. The Black Soprano Family boss released his most recent project on March 11 to mostly positive reviews.

However, there are some critics of the imagery Benny The Butcher presents in his songs. Throughout his career, Benny has used his lyrics to describe aspects of life on Montana Avenue in Buffalo.

Tracks such as “Johnny P’s Caddy” featuring J. Cole and “10 More Commandments” featuring Diddy reflect on subjects like drug dealing and street violence. Benny The Butcher joined Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1 to discuss Tana Talk 4 and more.

Benny The Butcher Declares He Is Not A Role Model

“Man, society or the fans or supporters, they glorify rappers too much. I am not Dr. Martin Luther King. I am not Malcolm X,” Benny The Butcher told Ebro Darden. “I’m nobody like that. I’m not like a revolutionist or one of those type of dudes. I’m a rapper. I’m a guy out the hood who made it.”

The 37-year-old rhymer continued, “I’m not a role model. I’m an example. I be hearing dudes say, ‘Man, I got more money than rappers.’ Get more money than Jeff Bezos. It’s like, ‘I dress better than rappers.’ Dress better than the fashion model. Why everything is compared to rappers? People are obsessed with rappers.”

J. Cole & Benny First Met In ATL While Recording For ROTD3

Benny The Butcher’s conversation with Apple Music included him talking about collaborating with Dreamville Records founder J. Cole. Apparently, the two spitters first connected during Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III recording sessions in 2019.

“I met [J. Cole] when they were doing the Dreamville thing in Atlanta. I tried to get a slot on there. I laid something crazy. I don’t know how I ain’t make that album. But no, I mean, he made it right. He made it right. But that’s when I first met him,” recalled Benny.

Young Thug & Kevin Durant To Executive Produce T-Shyne’s ‘Confetti Nights’

Tafa “T-Shyne” Peters will release Confetti Nights on April 1. The East Coast performer recruited his YSL boss Young Thug and NBA superstar Kevin Durant as executive producers for the mixtape.

T-Shyne’s upcoming project is coming out via Young Stoner Life Records/300 Entertainment. The Granada-born, New York-raised performer presented “30 for 30” and “Feed The Fam” as preludes for the release of Confetti Nights.

An official Caleb Seales-directed music video for “Feed The Fam” landed on YouTube last September. Tashi was behind the camera for the “30 for 30” visuals which arrived in January 2022.

In celebration of the “Feed The Fam” track, T-Shyne hosted the “Feed The Fam” event in The Bronx, New York City. On January 20, he gave away free meals to families in need.

“Top 5” Off Confetti Nights Is Coming Soon

The next Confetti Nights single is titled “Top 5.” Listeners can be on the look out for the song beginning March 18. T-Shyne already made “Top 5” available for pre-save/pre-add on several music streaming platforms.

Previously, T-Shyne released his debut project, The Immaculate, in 2018. That body of work featured Max B, Young Thug, S’natra, Strick, Denham, Juicy J, and Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd.

T-Shyne Has Collaborated With Meek Mill & J. Cole

Before the Confetti Nights singles, 2020’s “Moncler” with Young Thug was T-Shyne’s first official release as a member of the Young Stoner Life/300 Entertainment roster. Shyne later contributed to YSL’s chart-topping Slime Language 2 compilation.

Slime Language 2 hosts “That Go!” by T-Shyne, Young Thug, and Philadelphia-bred emcee Meek Mill. Shyne got the chance to collaborate with Hip Hop heavyweight J. Cole as part of Thugger’s “Stressed” off the 2021 studio LP Punk. “Stressed” opened at #69 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart.

Besides T-Shyne, Young Thug’s Young Stoner Life Records is also the label home of Gunna, Lil Keed, Strick, and other acts. Confetti Nights will likely contain features from YSL labelmates Young Thug and Gunna.

Jack Harlow Defends Keeping DaBaby & Tory Lanez On “Whats Poppin (Remix)”

2020’s “Whats Poppin” is one of Jack Harlow’s most commercially successful singles. A second version of the 6x-Platinum song featuring Lil Wayne, DaBaby, and Tory Lanez peaked at #2 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart.

Two of those “Whats Poppin (Remix)” contributors went on to be involved in public controversies. DaBaby lost several festival gigs after making offensive comments at Rolling Loud Miami 2021.

Tory Lanez has spent the last two years denying he shot Megan Thee Stallion in California on July 12, 2020. The Canadian rapper/singer currently faces charges for felony assault and carrying an unregistered firearm.

Jack Harlow Acknowledges Megan Thee Stallion Got Shot

Rolling Stone selected Jack Harlow as the magazine’s latest cover star. In an interview with the outlet, Harlow spoke about receiving requests to remove DaBaby and Tory Lanez from “Whats Poppin” over their respective scandals.

“I know I’m a good person. My character, my integrity are very important to me,” Harlow is quoted telling Rolling Stone. “And I think I’ve done such a good job that now I’m being forced to answer for other people’s actions. It doesn’t feel right as a grown man to speak for other grown men all the time.”

The 24-year-old Louisville, Kentucky native added, “One thing’s for sure, is that Megan got shot. And I wish her nothing but love and respect.” Megan The Stallion publicly named Tory Lanez as the person who allegedly fired a gun at her two years ago.

Harlow Presented Himself As An Ally For Black Women

Following the 2020 incident in Hollywood Hills, Megan Thee Stallion began speaking out on violence perpetrated against Black women such as Breonna Taylor. Jack Harlow was also heavily involved in the #JusticeForBreonnaTaylor movement.

Louisville Metro Police Department officers shot Breonna Taylor, 26, in March 2020. The fatal shooting took place during a botched raid at the wrong residence. A grand jury did not indict any of the cops for Taylor’s death because prosecutors reportedly failed to present homicide charges.

“The Breonna Taylor thing being so close to home – that happened in my hometown. We just had to go back and just show face. You know what I mean? Moments like this are bigger than anything we’re working on, bigger than the ‘Whats Poppin (Remix),’ bigger than any of that,” said Jack Harlow last year.

The Game & French Montana React To Instagram Suspending Kanye West

According to reports, Instagram made the decision to block Kanye “Ye” West from his account for 24 hours. The Meta-owned social media platform claimed Ye violated the company’s policies on hate speech, harassment, and bullying.

West repeatedly blasted Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson on Instagram for weeks. The G.O.O.D. Music founder recently turned his attention to comedians D.L. Hughley and Trevor Noah as well.

Several industry pundits also accused Kanye West of harassing his estranged wife Kim Kardashian who is now dating Davidson. Black News Tonight host Marc Lamont Hill criticized West for entering “stalkerville.” In addition, Charlamagne Tha God called West the “Donkey of the Day” for his online actions.

However, Kanye West is getting some backing from one of his fellow Hip Hop recording artists. The Game took to Instagram to call for the app to #FreeYe. He wrote:

IG funny as hell with what they say violates their policies etc…. It’s a whole war going on in Ukraine & hate posts surrounding it that add fuel to the fire + Africans being violated & barred from crossing borders to safety with racists comments/content attached…. and y’all zero’d in on Ye’s posts about the protection of his children, his fatherhood & him speaking his truth in defense to the coonery displayed by other verified users on this app that further complicate his situation in regards to his family. #FreeYe @kanyewest

Kanye Complained On Instagram About His “Celebrity Friends” Not Speaking Up For Him

The Game and Kanye West collaborated together on the controversial “Eazy” track which dropped in January. The song’s music video depicts an animated Ye decapitating and burying a Pete Davidson effigy.

Another rap star also stood up for West. On Wednesday night, French Montana tweeted, “They suspended my dawg Kanye off Instagram, he about to make his own social media platform.”

Kanye West recently complained that his “celebrity friends” were not speaking up on his behalf in his supposed conflict with Kim Kardashian. The 44-year-old Donda album creator insists Kim K is not allowing him to see their children. The Kardashian reality show star has denied she is blocking Ye from his kids.

U.K. Rapper EO Crossover Claims He Was Forced Into Rehab

EO Crossover has caused concern after returning from a long absence in the public eye to announce his admittance to rehab against his will.

The rapper, who achieved instant fame in the U.K. when his widely popular “German” – which has amassed nearly 60 million views on YouTube – became the song of summer 2018. EO capitalized off the success of the track with several songs and freestyles, racking up millions of YouTube views in the process.

Following an appearance at the U.K.’s Wireless Festival, he disappeared off the grid, and little was known about his whereabouts.

However, he made a dramatic return to social media on Wednesday (Mar. 16), revealing that he was forced into rehab.

The caption of one Snapchat video reads: “They try to make me go to rehab & I said no,” referencing “Rehab,” by Amy Winehouse. “I said no but they force me inside so, Yh Yh Yh,” he added.

In other clips, EO Crossover is seen walking around an apparent facility or staring into the camera blankly. His disheveled appearance has caused concern amongst fans.

EO did not say why he had to undergo rehab nor did he mention any treatment he may be receiving. A post on his Instagram story this morning (Mar. 17) revealed he has a video premiering on YouTube later today. “They Tried To Make Me Go To Rehab & Had No Say :), ” he claimed in the video’s title.

Did EO Crossover Snake His Former Collaborator?

Meanwhile, a former EO Crossover collaborator recently implied the rapper is a snake. Last month, fellow U.K. artist AJ, who featured EO on his song, “London,” took to Instagram to celebrate the track achieving Platinum certification. However, he covered EO’s name with a snake emoji, suggesting he feels some type of way about him.

Rihanna Issues A Warning: “Talk About My Kids, It’s Over”

Rihanna will not be playing when it comes to her unborn child declaring, “I’m going to be psycho.”

The Bajan singer, who also announced she is currently in her third trimester, spoke on the type of parent she will be once the baby arrives.

During a recent interview, Rihanna discussed her impending motherhood, revealing a fiercely protective maternal side. She compared herself to Heather Dubrow and Teresa Giudice from Bravo TV’s Real Housewives reality shows. She relates to the former allowing “her kids to be who they are,” which she finds inspiring. As for the latter, she “does not play about her kids. She will fight for those little girls.”

Rihanna Will “Be Psycho” About Her Kids

Rihanna issued a warning to anyone who thinks it’s safe to discuss her children. “She will flatten you about those kids,” she said of Giudice. “And that resonates with me a lot because I feel like that’s the type of mom I’m going to be. Psycho about it,” she added.

Furthermore, Rihanna is likely to “Flip a table,” when that protective instinct kicks in. “You talk about my kids,” she warned, “it’s over.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Rihanna discussed how her Fenty brand is helping throughout the ups and down of maternity. “There’s a pregnancy glow. There’s also those days, girl,” she added. “Especially in the third trimester where you wake up and you’re like, oh, do I have to get dressed? Makeup for sure helps you feel like a real person. I just focused a lot on moisturizing and on contouring.”

She continued, discussing her changing features. “The face gets a little round and chubby. The nose starts to spread. Everything is a challenge, from getting dressed and how you’re going to do your makeup. But I like challenges. I like things that force me to be creative and create in new ways. And with beauty, there’s so much that you can do.”

https://twitter.com/rihnavvy/status/1502935557327962112?s=20&t=kmyIkDDl4V-uLi1ISwEceg

Rihanna also confessed she only feels “snatched” when her “whole glam team shows up,” making her feel her most beautiful. However, she’s also working on getting rest before the baby’s arrival. “Sleep now because I won’t get much later,” is the best advice she’s been given so far. “I need to work on that before it’s a thing of the past,” she added.

Boosie & His 18-Yr-Old Son Examine A Woman’s Private Parts With A Magnifying Glass On Instagram Live

Boosie is on the receiving end of some hefty internet backlash after his “Boosie Gone Bad” live stream on Wednesday night (Mar. 16) where he and his 18-year-old son examined a woman’s private parts with a magnifying glass.

Boosie hosted a live-streamed private party on his own platform yesterday evening (Mar. 16) following numerous Instagram bans and suspensions for his now-infamous explicit lives. However, part of the event was broadcast on Instagram Live via his “Americasmostwantedig” account.

The backlash on Twitter was immediate once an extremely explicit clip of the rapper’s antics began circulating. “Look at the p#### son,” Boosie urges during the video as a woman, naked from the waist down, stands in front of them, displaying her private parts.

The rapper then directs another half-naked woman to a bench where she lays on her back with her legs spread in the air. Meanwhile, Boosie and his son take turns inspecting the woman’s genitals with a magnifying glass. She then stands up and begins twerking before Boosie calls for another woman from the audience.

https://twitter.com/MelaninTwtz/status/1504337233196851202?s=20&t=W9IgsddvqCllyhCTKeN5Wg

The event was previously advertised as a “live, uncensored, and uncut interactive experience,” on the Boosie Gone Bad website. The stream gave ticket-buyers instant “exclusive access to the Boosie Baddie – Atlanta casting call.”

“I’m back baby and I’m all the way live,” he explained during a commercial for the event. “Anything I do on camera is excusable. Anything I do on pay-per-view … I was drunk.”

Boosie then compared himself to the “Tony Montana” character in Scarface proclaiming, “I feel like the world is mine. So my new nickname after this … Black Tony.”

Twitter Reacts To Boosie & His Son On IG Live

However, the backlash on Twitter was swift with commenters outraged at the outspoken rapper and the influences his kids are exposed to. Check out some of the responses below.

Jussie Smollett Walks Free From Chicago Jail Pending Appeal

Jussie Smollett was released from jail after six nights behind bars after an appeals court found he should be released pending the appeal of his conviction for lying to police about a fake hate crime.

The former “Empire” actor made no comment as he walked out of Cook County Jail on Wednesday (Mar. 16), flanked by security. According to his attorneys, Jussie Smollett was the victim of a racist justice system.

The appeals court ruled he could be released on his own recognizance but will have to pay $150,000 if he fails to make scheduled court appearances. The ruling came after a judge sentenced the actor to 150 days in jail last week for his conviction on five felony counts of disorderly conduct for lying to police.

After the sentence was handed down, Jussie Smollett loudly proclaimed his innocence. In an outburst, he told the court, “I am not suicidal. And if anything happens to me when I go in there, I did not do it to myself. And you must all know that.”

Jussie Smollett Lived Off Ice Water Behind Bars

Jussie Smollett defense attorney Nenye Uche said that the actor’s family is “very very happy with today’s developments.” He also told reporters his client had not eaten at all during his time in jail: “Ice water, that’s been his food and liquid. I can only imagine if I was in jail for something I didn’t do, I wouldn’t be eating.”

He was critical of the special prosecutor’s decision to charge Smollett again once the initial charges were dropped and he paid a fine. He claimed the sentence was excessive and said the appellate court doesn’t “play politics.”

“The real question is: Should Black men be walked into jail for a class 4 felony? Shame on you if you think they should,” Uche said.

The state said in their response to the appeal: “Rather than attempt to meet his burden of showing good cause for his immediate release, Mr. Smollett makes only cursory, woefully undeveloped arguments. Each fails to demonstrate good cause to stay his jail sentence.”

Kanye West Suspended From Instagram For 24 Hours: “Harassment And Bullying” Violations Cited

Kanye West has scored himself a temporary Instagram ban following his recent social media antics. TMZ reports he is suspended for 24 hours after his latest posts were found to violate their policies.

His most recent posts include attacks on Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend Pete Davidson, along with his writing partner, Dave Sirus. He has also been engaged in a war of words with comedian D.L. Hughley and repeatedly used a racial slur when talking about Trevor Noah.

A spokesperson for Instagram says he’s fallen foul of their rules on hate speech, harassment, and bullying. As a result, he cannot post, comment, send direct messages, or anything else on the social media platform. Further action will be taken if the violations continue.

Instagram made their decision hours after Kanye West targeted The Daily Show host who had recently commented on Ye’s divorce.

“All in together now,” he wrote, posting a Google search of Trevor Noah. “Koon baya my lord koon baya Koon baya my lord Koon baya Oooo’ lord Koon baya.” The post has since been removed, though it is unclear whether Kanye or Instagram deleted it. Check out the screenshot below.

Kanye West Continues To Target Pete Davidson

The Wait Is Almost Over: Fourtee Announces “Hustle” Is Dropping This Month

Since his last release, with “Talk To Me Nice”, he’s been leaving listeners waiting for more heat. The track left us all rocking to his new approach into the hip-hop game and tells a story that makes you put some respect on his name.

With the new project, “Hustle”, Fourtee has prepared to make his first drop of the year a major checkpoint for 2022. Officially releasing on March 24th, 2022, the LA-based rapper has carefully studied what it takes to give his listeners what they want and some more.

The LA-based artist knows how to set the vibe for a crowd. His strongest attribute to the game is knowing how to play it from a business standpoint. Following the advice and knowledge of hip-hop industry billionaires such as Jay-Z, Puffy, and Kanye West, he keeps the listeners in mind and always gives them what they want.

Money has always been on his mind real heavy ever since he’s figured out how to make it and flip it. Not only does he have a passion for being in entertainment as a rapper, he also has been dabbling in business ventures such as clothing lines. The thing about Fourtee is that this lifestyle has always been destined for him.

Picking up dead-end jobs was a thing in the past for the rap star. But it wasn’t until he landed a job as a driver for a sprinter car for a local chauffeur company that changed his life. Little did Fourtee know that he would be headed in the right direction for his destiny as a rap star. As a driver, Fourtee had the opportunity to be a chauffeur for big names such as Lil Audi Vert, Jadakiss, Gunna, Cassanova, Kid Cypriot, and more! He would drive them throughout their tour locations and be behind the scenes with big label executives. That’s when the aspiring artist just knew he wasn’t in those buildings for nothing and decided to do something about it.

Growing up, the New Jersey- raised rapper Fourtee witnessed the struggles of what it took to stay alive in the city. His mother, being his most influential person to this day, has always shown him how hard it could be but she never gave up for herself nor her 4 children. As he got older, making it out of the streets and becoming a businessman to finally pay her back and also live the life they all deserve has been his mission and he won’t stop – he’s actually just getting started.

Back in 2018, he relocated from Newark to LA to get away from the distractions that were in the way while living in Newark, to finally focus on his moves as a rapper and business executive. Moving across the country really snap shifted his story and probably was the best thing he could’ve done for himself.

He’s been dropping music since a kid but it took a big break in 2019 when his track, “Freeze” was featured in the NBA2k playlist. Both NBA legends, Steve Stoute and Kevin Durant handpicked his track to be a winner of the NBA2k20 contest. Since then he’s been on fire.

His music is addicting and his lyrics always tell a success story in how he continues to keep making it out and into the life he really wants.

Court Orders Jussie Smollett To Be Released From Jail While He Appeals His Conviction

Jussie Smollett won’t stay locked up while he appeals his conviction for lying to police about a fake hate crime.

According to the Associated Press, an appeals court ordered Jussie Smollett to be released amid his attempt to appeal the conviction. It’s unclear how soon he’ll be able to get out of jail, but he must post a $150,000 personal recognizance bond to secure his release.

Last week, a Cook County judge sentenced Jussie Smollett to 150 days in jail. He received 30 months of felony probation and must pay $120,106 in restitution to the city of Chicago.

Jussie Smollett maintained his innocence during an outburst at his sentencing. After the judge rendered his decision, the Empire actor ranted in the courtroom.

“If I did this, then it means that I stuck my fist in the fears of Black Americans in this country for over 400 years and the fears of the LGBT community,” he said. “Your Honor, I respect you and I respect the jury, but I did not do this. And I am not suicidal, and if anything happens to me when I go in there, I did not do it to myself. And you must all know that.”

Jussie Smollett’s legal team fought for his release once he began serving his sentence at the Cook County Jail. They claimed the appeals process won’t finish before he completes his sentence.

His lawyers also claimed he’s in danger behind bars, which elicited pushback from the officer of the special prosecutor.

“Rather than attempt to meet his burden of showing good cause for his immediate release, Mr. Smollett makes only cursory, woefully undeveloped arguments,” deputy special prosecutor Sean Wieber contended.

But the appeals court sided with the defense, clearing a path for Jussie Smollett to exit the Cook County Jail.

Jack Harlow Announces Sophomore Album ‘Come Home The Kids Miss You’

Jack Harlow unveiled the title and release date for his sophomore album on Wednesday (March 16).

The Kentucky native plans to drop a new album titled Come Home The Kids Miss You on May 6. Jack Harlow’s announcement coincided with the publishing of his Rolling Stone cover story.

“I’m on the cover of Rolling Stone,” he wrote on Instagram. “And together we’re announcing my new album, ‘Come Home The Kids Miss You,’ out May 6th. Now for what I really wanna say: B#### WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH.”

Jack Harlow said he took a more serious approach to the LP in his interview with Rolling Stone. He admitted the lead single “Nail Tech” is his “least favorite song on the album.”

“I want to be the face of my s###, like the face of my generation, for these next 10 years,” he explained. “We need more people in my generation that are trying to be the best, and you can’t do that with just ear candy, vibe records. You got to come out swinging sometimes.”

He continued, “My new s### is much more serious. Right now, my message is letting muh’f###### know I love Hip Hop, and I’m one of the best in my generation. You can’t do that with nonchalant, like, ‘Eeey, I got the b######,’ in clever ways over and over again. I got to dig deeper this time.”

Come Home The Kids Miss You will be the follow-up to Jack Harlow’s Thats What They All Say, which dropped in 2020. The Atlantic Records artist’s debut album received a platinum certification in 2021.

DL Hughley Clowns Kanye West After Rapper’s Latest IG Attack

DL Hughley fired off more Kanye West jokes via Twitter after ‘Ye targeted the comedian again on Instagram.

Kanye West started their latest social media spat by criticizing DL Hughley’s fashion on Wednesday (March 16). ‘Ye also suggested the two might become friends and admitted the comic is funny.

“This grown ass man picked this outfit out himself Is he influential or under the influence???” he captioned a photo of DL Hughley.

Kanye West noted in another post, “Funny thing is we’ll probably end up being friends… I used to defend this n#### back when he had work…. Like nah he funny … you just gotta watch it 1 trillion more times to get it.”

A few hours later, DL Hughley started roasting ‘Ye on Twitter. The stand-up veteran pulled no punches and referenced Kanye West losing Kim Kardashian to Pete Davidson.

“Now #Kanye!” he wrote. “When you say you had to explain my jokes to people, are these real people, or the ones you keep in your head?”

He continued, “#Ye is at it again huh?? Welp at least I wasn’t crying on the phone about how big Pete’s Peter is! If you want her back instead [of] acting up why don’t you try doing some dick ups! #Kanye do you know how horrible you gotta be to make a #Kardashian date a white man!”

DL Hughley also responded to the comments about his outfit.

“#Kanye how dare you talk about the way someone dresses, look at you!!” he wrote. “All those people in your head and not one of em got a Macys card?”

He added, “#Kanye ain’t it funny how you can explain my jokes, but not your behavior?”

The beef between Kanye West and DL Hughley began when the latter said the rapper is stalking Kim Kardashian. ‘Ye responded by claiming he could “afford to hurt” the comedian.

Sauce Alert! The Young Rising Star, Jacob Everett, Releases “Jeff Bezos”

@Thejacobeverett

Underground rap and hip-hop encompass the work of any rapper or producer that lies outside of mainstream hip-hop, either due to its challenging lyrics or an unconventional approach. Underground artists often lack the studio polish of hip-hop’s more commercial acts. However, many underground rappers have gone on to find mainstream success, such as No Limit’s Master P and Wu-Tang Clan. While mainstream hip-hop often celebrates glitz and excess, underground artists often focus on social issues and personal struggles.

This makes for a more challenging and thought-provoking listen and has helped to create a passionate and devoted underground following. In an era where music is increasingly homogenized, the appeal of underground rap and hip-hop lies in its willingness to push boundaries and challenge expectations.

That being said, the music industry has always been a place that thrived on trends. People love to follow trends in this industry, and it is common among budding musicians to follow a trend that is viral on social media. What is rare is originality. Therefore, only genuine talents have survived this extremely competitive space and Jacob Everett is one of them.

Jacob’s smooth voice and melodic lyrics are reminiscent of the great singer-songwriters of the past, but with a modern twist that makes his music relevant to today’s listeners. His ability to connect with his fans on a personal level is what sets him apart from other artists in the industry, and he has a bright future ahead of him.

Jeff Bezos is a highly respected role model for entrepreneurs everywhere, and Jacob is no exception. In his most recent release, “Jeff Bezos”, Jacob pays tribute to the man who has inspired him to chase his dreams. “I feed off his accomplishments,” Jacob says. “It keeps me motivated.” From Bezos’ example, Jacob has learned the importance of versatility.

This has served him well in his own enterprises, which include a clothing line and an upcoming album. But Jacob is not content to rest on his laurels. He says there are even more surprises in store for us all in the near future. So, keep an eye out for what’s next from this dynamic young artist!
