Although, back in 2017, The Machine signs with Eminem’s imprint. However, through Slim Shady’s label, this project serves as Conway’s sole release. In fact, according to Bootleg Kev, he plans to return to Griselda Records.

Be that as it may, the “Stressed” MC is enjoying his latest accomplishment. Nonetheless, he continues to emanate his ingrained confidence. Likewise, the actions of proven lyricist overwhelmingly seems to resonate with the world.

Consequently, as Conway The Machine boasts about his artistic acumen, Twitter readily applauds his efforts. Simply put, Mr. Price personifies self-assurance. In like manner, CTM shares his truth. “Nobody’s f##### with me!!!! That’s it, that’s the tweet. #GDMM out now!!”

The Reactions.

Correspondingly, social media is actively offering its opinion. So, the From a King to a God wordsmith can actively witness his artistic impact. Of course, the assessments are a plenty. Moreover, they range from insightful praise to succinct statements of agreement.

2 Chainz – “Kingpen Ghostwriter” ft. Lil Baby

2 Chainz and Lil Baby trade verses on 2 Chainz newest joint “Kingpen Ghostwriter” produced by Buddah Bless. Its classy, its industrial and its smokey as 2 Chainz gets busy on this head-spinning beat laced with heavy bass and a ascending violin. This one is dope song to burn up the road if you know what we mean.

Why Did Bow Wow Clap Back At “Corny” Classification?

Seeing that, a seemingly innocuous assertion comes to the attention of Lil’ Bow Wow. Although, this now viral meme begs the question, “Why are the people on this list considered corny?” However, he takes issues. In fact, Bow Wow claps back the “corny” classification. But, why does he take offense?

Of course, the now infamous assertion includes a host of notable folks. With this in mind, seven men working within the Entertainment field are under discussion. Furthermore, this post includes the likes of Logic, Nick Cannon, Childish Gambino, Bow Wow, Drake, Wayne Brady and Will Smith. So, Shad hops onto the comment section and offers a lengthy response.

Specifically, Kid Gangsta emphatically replies to the declaration. Although, the spotlight’s glare continues to illuminate his actions, both positive and negative. However, the established entrepreneur makes mention of his array of accomplishments.

Particularly, Mr. Moss appears confident with the man he has become. So, the adamant entertainer takes the time to break down his contributions to the culture. “Cuz we ain’t beefn w n#####? Because we aint shooting at n#####? This corny s### got all the b###### tho i guess they like htis corny s###,” he includes.

Next, the ATLien transplant delves deeper into his perspective. “Corny but all this money,” then he adds, “Corny because n##### ain’t got pending cases…”

On the whole, to combat the glib announcement, Bow Wow has many words. So, to find out more of his mindset be certain to read though the entire comment.

So, with this in mind is Bow Wow truly corny?

Why Is Big K.R.I.T. Alerting Critics: “I’m Not Trapped In A Box?”

Of course, K.R.I.T. iz here! In fact, since 2012, he continues to officially release timeless music. So, why is Big K.R.I.T. alerting critics, “I’m not trapped in a box?”

Thus far, to Hip-Hop, Krizzle adds his signature perspective. As a matter of fact, his most recent effort, Digital Roses Don’t Die sublimely symbolizes his creativity. However, it is his artistry which is definitely piquing the interest of his day-one supporters.

Moreover, as the Meridian wordsmith constantly evolves his talent, his work will demonstrate such. On the other hand, his entrenched supporters may not be ready for the evolution. At the same time, the “The Vent” narrator openly addresses his critics.

For the purpose of organically interacting with his fanbase, the Mississippi MC, utilizes the power of social media. With this intention, a Reddit-backed #AskKRIT question and answer session ensues. Again, many of the exchanges are also appearing on Twitter.

Correspondingly, the dope lyricist candidly converses with the public. Soon, an intrigued individual pens an ardent inquiry. So, about his fifth studio album, the Roses rep responds to its examination.

Big K.R.I.T. On Lingering Criticism

“@BigK.R.I.T. loved the album! But whats your response to those fans who didn’t, due to the content change and the amount of singing vs rapping ? #AskKrit,” asks the concerned Twitter user. Immediately, the “Pick Up The Pace” rapper acknowledges the probe.

Notwithstanding, the implied critique receives this urgent echo. So, the “What U Mean” wordsmith articulates his angle. “Thank you for listening. I appreciate it all the same. Ill continue to grow as an artist and create from the heart. Im thankful that I can share my words…singing or rapping.”

Above all, Big K.R.I.T. owns his lauded ability. Following, questions concerning his choice to delve “deeper into the R&B realm.” Here, the “Energy” MC readily replies. “I just wanted to be creative and free. Unlike a sub i’m not trapped in a box.”

Hiram Rhodes Revels – The First Black Senator In The U.S. Congress

Before Obama made his mark, there was one man every black politician owes their debt to one man: Hiram R. Revels.

Hiram Rhodes Revels was a Republican U.S. Senator and the first African American to serve in the U.S. Senate.

Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on September 27, 1827, to free people of color of African American, European, and Native American ancestry, Revels initially worked as a barber after living with his older brother in Lincolnton, North Carolina.

He was apprenticed as a barber in his brother Elias’s shop. After Elias died in 1841, his widow Mary transferred the shop to Hiram Revels.

In 1845, Revels was ordained as a minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME).

Hiram R. Revels served as a preacher and teacher throughout the Midwest and met a great deal of opposition, including being imprisoned in Missouri in 1854.

Revels served as a chaplain in the United States Army after the outbreak of the American Civil War, and his efforts helped recruit and organize two black Union regiments.

In 1866, he settled in Natchez, Mississippi, and was elected as an alderman in Natchez in 1868. He was elected to represent Adams County in the Mississippi State Senate.

In 1870, Revels was elected in the Mississippi legislature to finish the term of one of the state’s vacant two seats in the U.S. Senate. Upon his arrival in Washington, D.C., Revels debated against Southern Democrats who opposed seating him, an argument Revels eventually won.

Hiram R. Revels was an ardent supporter of racial equality and worked hard to highlight the capability of African Americans to his fellow senators, and during his time, he served on the Committee of Education and Labor and the Committee on the District of Columbia.

Although Revels’ term only lasted from February 25, 1870, to March 3, 1871, he spent his time pushing for equality.

Some of his notable achievements in this time included speaking out against an amendment to keep Washington, D.C., schools segregated and nominating a young black man to the United States Military Academy. He also championed the cause of black workers who were barred from working at the Washington Navy Yard due to their color.

After his term as senator, Revels became the first president of Alcorn Agricultural and Mechanical College (now Alcorn State University), teaching philosophy.

He worked sporadically in politics between 1873 and his retirement in 1882, including serving as Mississippi’s secretary of state.

Hiram R. Revels passed away from a stroke on January 16, 1901, at 73.

Revels was the first African American to be a senator. His voice as a politician paved the way for famous black orators after him.

Despite political affiliations, we can see the influence of Revels in later figures, from Malcolm X to Johnnie Cochran. Revels is a shining example to anyone who wants to use their voice for the force of change.

Pete Davidson Rep Claims Kanye West Didn’t Drive The Comedian Off Instagram

Kanye West has been on a social media campaign aimed at Pete Davidson. Davidson is currently dating Kim Kardashian, and West took issue with the comedian being in a relationship with his estranged wife.

Part of his online takedown of 28-year-old Pete Davidson included Kanye West constantly referring to him as “Skete.” West, 44, also took verbal shots at Davidson on several of his songs. On the “Eazy” track, Ye rapped about wanting to “beat Pete Davidson’s ass.”

Last week, Davidson rejoined Instagram. Kanye West almost immediately started following the verified @pmd account. Then many of West’s fans began posting negative replies in Davidson’s IG comment section.

Pete Davidson, who has admitted to being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, later deleted his Instagram page. The Saturday Night Live cast member expressed suicidal thoughts before removing his Instagram in the past.

Kanye West bragged about supposedly causing Pete Davidson to leave Instagram. The Donda 2 album creator even referred to Davidson’s mother in a celebratory IG post about The Suicide Squad actor’s departure from social media.

Kanye West’s Instagram post about Pete Davidson

“Ran Skete off the gram. Tell your mother I changed your name for life,” wrote Kanye West on his own Instagram page. However, representatives for Pete Davidson are looking to slow down West’s victory lap.

A source told Page Six, “Pete deleted his IG because immediately after his first post he started receiving a flood of messages, both positive and negative, reminding him why he didn’t want social media to begin with.” The rep added, “Kanye didn’t drive Pete off social media.”

Kim Kardashian Warns Ye’s Behavior Could Be Dangerous

Kim Kardashian has been very critical of Kanye West’s actions towards Pete Davidson. The star of Hulu’s upcoming The Kardashians reality show allegedly told Ye he is “creating a dangerous and scary environment” that could lead to Davidson getting hurt.

Additionally, in recent court documents, Kim Kardashian reportedly claimed Kanye West is causing her emotional distress. Kardashian officially filed for divorce from the father of her four children on February 19, 2021. They got married in May 2014.

After the original divorce filings, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian agreed to part ways due to “irreconcilable differences.” However, the legal split recently got more turbulent causing Kardashian to ask a judge to end their marriage as soon as possible.

Central Cee Drops Highly Anticipated Mixtape “23” Plus New Video & Trapstar Collab

Central Cee is making huge waves in the U.K rap scene, scoring a gold album for his first mixtape, Wild West, and spending 97 weeks in the U.K singles charts – 18 weeks in the Top 10 alone.

The West London rapper also scored six hit singles last year, eight if you count his collaborations with D-Block Europe and Ed Sheeran. A feat he could repeat after releasing his new project.

Cench debuted his new mixtape, 23, on Thursday night and dropped the video for “Khabib,” the project’s lead single.

The video sees Central Cee and his crew take over Chelsea Football Club’s Stamford Bridge Stadium. They also perform wheelies roaring around on motorcycles and spin donuts in a deserted parking lot. Watch the visuals below.

Central Cee – Straight Back To It

Central Cee’s set himself apart on his 2021 debut, Wild West which included no features. However, 23’s “Eurovision” is collab-heavy with verses from Rondodasosa, Baby Gang, A2Anti, Morad, Benny Jr, Ashe, and Freeze Corleone. “Lil Bro” also houses a feature from Lil Bro.

Meanwhile, on Thursday night, the rapper passed by Amazon Music’s +44 podcast for a live interview ahead of the tape’s release. He previewed a few of the new songs on Central Cee & Friends, during the sixty-minute countdown to the project’s release.

He discussed the international drill collaboration “Eurovision,” which features two artists from each of 3 European countries, France, Spain, and Italy, plus “2 man from the ends – me and A2anti.” He believes his close relationship and collaboration with European rappers set the current trend for U.K rappers to work with their E.U counterparts.

And if all that wasn’t enough, he also released his latest collection for clothing brand Trapstar London.

Cardi B Responds To Joe Budden Calling Her A Superstar

Earlier this week, social media users took part in a debate over which modern rappers should be considered superstars. Cardi B’s name was brought up, and the former Love & Hip Hop star offered evidence of her commercial appeal by posting text messages claiming she makes over $1 million per live show.

The Joe Budden Podcast also engaged in their own conversation about Cardi B. After initially pushing back against his co-hosts’ takes on the Bronx native being a “rap superstar,” Joe Budden eventually acknowledged that Cardi is one of the most famous Hip Hop artists on the planet.

That recognition came after Joe Budden had been consistently critical of Cardi B’s musical output in recent months. On previous episodes of his show, the “Pump It Up” emcee said he did not think Cardi would ever release another album.

Cardi B was not a fan of Joe Budden’s commentary about her pending sophomore studio LP. In January, the 29-year-old entertainer went on Instagram Live to slam a “little bird” for suggesting she was a “lazy b####” for not dropping another project yet.

However, Cardi B found Joe Budden’s recent comments about her superstar status more favorable. The Grammy-winning Invasion of Privacy album creator responded to Budden’s public acknowledgment on Twitter.

“I told y’all he always believed in me… That’s why I always got love for him even when he gets me mad… That’s my mean uncle,” tweeted Cardi B on Thursday night. That tweet included an old photo of Cardi’s appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast from 2016.

Conway The Machine Drops His Shady Records Debut ‘God Don’t Make Mistakes’

Conway The Machine is no longer signed to Griselda Records, but the Buffalo-born rapper is still associated with Shady Records at the moment. Eminem’s label released Conway’s God Don’t Make Mistakes album.

God Don’t Make Mistakes arrived on DSPs today (February 25). Conway The Machine’s sophomore studio LP and major-label debut followed 2020’s critically-acclaimed From King to a God.

“It was tough opening up doors that I haven’t opened up in a while. This is my story and sharing it all with the world is different for me, but I was happy to do it,” says Conway The Machine about his latest project. “I know fans will love it.”

For God Don’t Make Mistakes, Conway recruited Beanie Sigel, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, T.I., Benny The Butcher, Westside Gunn, Jill Scott, and others. Daringer, Beat Butcha, The Alchemist, Hit-Boy, Bink, and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League were among the album’s producers.

Last year saw Conway The Machine perform “Scatterbrain” featuring J.I.D. and Ludacris on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. He also contributed to DMX’s posthumous album Exodus and The Harder They Fall soundtrack.

Tyga & Doja Cat Join Forces Again For “Freaky Deaky” Music Video

Compton-bred rapper Tyga once again teamed up with a female rapper for his latest collaboration. T-Raww linked with Doja Cat for the “Freaky Deaky” single.

Mike Crook, Ryan Ogren, and Dr. Luke produced the track. In addition, Tyga and Doja Cat starred in the new “Freaky Deaky” music video.

Those visuals quickly became the #13 top trend in YouTube’s music section as the video racked up over 100,000 views in its first four hours on the platform. Tyga’s name also trended on Twitter this morning (February 25).

Previously, Doja Cat tapped Tyga for the “Juicy (Remix)” in 2019. Plus, her catalog includes collaborations with Rico Nasty, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, SZA, The Weeknd, City Girls, Lil Wayne, Saweetie, Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion, and others.

“Me and [Doja Cat], the first collab that we ever [did], it never came out, it was a long time ago before she really blew up. And then ‘Juicy’ was the first real collab that the world seen and I felt like the chemistry was so good there,” said Tyga during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s New Music Daily.

The 32-year-old Hip Hop veteran continued, “Working with [Doja Cat] is really easy. It’s like working with Chris [Brown]. I feel like Chris and Lil Wayne are two people that I can go in the studio with and make a great record in 30 minutes.”

Tyga has also worked with other female rappers such as Nicki Minaj (“Dip”), Iggy Azalea (“Kream”), and Megan Thee Stallion (“Freak”). The former member of Lil Wayne’s Young Money label created 2015’s Fan of a Fan: The Album joint project with Chris Brown.

Chuck D Creates New Comic Celebrating Public Enemy’s “Apocalypse 91: The Enemy Strikes Black”

Chuck D is using his skills as a visual artist to enter the comic book realm, creating a project that celebrates a famed hip-hop album.

The legendary lead rapper of the iconic Public Enemy will create a graphic novel commemorating the 30th anniversary of the group’s 1991 album Apocalypse 91: The Enemy Strikes Black. Chuck D partnered with Z2 Comics on the book, titled, Apocalypse 91: Revolution Never Sleeps

“Apocalypse 91 album is pretty much the soundtrack to the graphic novel,” Chuck D said in an interview to Inverse. However, he revealed, “The music came first, then came the images. They’re reciprocal. It’s interesting to see the graphic novel component to the sound, story, sight, and ideas that were made over 30 years ago.”

When asked to grade Marvel and DC for Black representation in comics, Chuck D admitted he doesn’t read many at 61

“I know when I was growing up they had to speak to the times,” he said. “Civil rights demands had to speak to the times when it came down to Black being beautiful and not just being just a second-class citizen.” He gave kudos to Marvel “because they had to deal with all the elements of New York City.”

Chuck D continued, “This comic book company rooted in New York City took note of knowing that it had to acknowledge that part of the population. Black Panther (T’Challa) was a person that got my interest. Did I put him above all the other superheroes?” he asked. “Not really, but he was in the mix. DC in the late ‘60s was still a little bit in fantasyland, dealing with the cornfields of the Metropolis outskirts. When they finally got around to it at the turn of the ‘70s then I was like, okay I’m interested.”

Chuck D Says Public Enemy Used “Comic Book imagery”

He then revealed that Public Enemy was inspired by comic books. “I created my own figures with a bit more imagination put to the Public Enemy characters. I didn’t invent them, I just brought it out with imagery. Flavor Flav, Professor Griff, the S1Ws, Terminator X, and myself. It was all comic book imagery.”

He says the group knew MTV wouldn’t play their music so they created an aura. “We weren’t going to get the front page, or the pop group Grammy of the year. And we weren’t going to get the attention by just going gangster. We weren’t trying to shock white America,” he added. “We wanted to be very clear who we were and it was really rounded with something else. There was enough there that after the bark, you found some bite!”

L.A. County District Attorney’s Office Claims To Have Enough Evidence To Convict Tory Lanez

The ongoing legal saga involving Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion exploded on social media this week. Both rappers went back-and-forth on Twitter following a pre-trial hearing for Lanez’s assault case.

In 2020, Megan Thee Stallion named Tory Lanez as the person who allegedly shot her in the feet. Lanez repeatedly insisted he is innocent. The Canada-born performer even suggested DNA evidence will exonerate him.

However, prosecutors seem to believe they can secure a conviction against Tory Lanez. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office provided a statement about the case to Complex.

The D.A.’s office stated:

Although we are legally prohibited from commenting on the evidence and will continue to abide by that obligation, our office is under an ethical duty to only proceed on charges which we believe can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt and which have already been upheld by a judge after presentation of evidence at the preliminary hearing. We believe the evidence substantially supports the charges and allegations and that evidence will be borne out in court.

Tory Lanez (born Daystar Peterson) is facing charges for felony assault and carrying an unregistered firearm. Last year, Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, suggested investigators discovered gunshot residue on Lanez’s hands.

Jay-Z Awarded $4.5 Million In 6-Year Long Dispute With Perfume Company

Jay-Z has been awarded over $4.5 million in royalties after being sued by a fragrance company last year.

TMZ report an appellate court in New York City ruled in favour of Hov in his dispute with Parlux stemming from past cologne sales

Parlux filed a $68 million lawsuit against Jay-Z in 2016, accusing him of failing to uphold his commitments to a 2012 contract to promote his fragrance, Gold Jay-Z. They claim he neglected to appear at the Macy’s 2014 Gold Jay-Zlaunch and on appearances on Good Morning America. They further alleged his unwillingness to boot sales cost them millions.

Hov’s legal team said it was Parlux that lacked the knowledge to market a product from the Jay-Z brand. The rapper accused the brand of doing “crappy, lazy work” during his testimony. “I’ve always had problems with the quality of lazy work that was coming from Parlux,” he declared at the trial last year.

After being cleared of breach of contract Jay-Z told reporters, “I’d like to express my gratitude to the jury, especially during these difficult times.”

In November, AllHipHop reported the court found Jay-Z was not liable in the $67.6 million breach of contract lawsuit. They also reject his demand for royalties, a decision which the appellate court overruled on Thursday.

“The record is clear: Parlux sold licensed products after July 31, 2015, but failed to pay royalties on those sales,” Justice John Higgitt wrote in his unanimous decision.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation is working on a documentary series tentatively titled Exposing Parchman. The docuseries will explore the efforts to reform the Mississippi correctional system and expose Parchman’s murky history.

Snoop Dogg Calls Sex Assault Lawsuit A “Shakedown,” Asks Court To Dismiss Case

Snoop Dogg is seeking a dismissal of the ‘implausible and false’ sex assault lawsuit filed against him this month by an unidentified woman.

The Long Beach native claims the Jane Doe accuser is targeting him in a “shakedown,” according to filings seen by Rolling Stone. Snoop doubled down his insistence that the forcible oral sex she accuses him of “never happened.”

The 17-page dismissal says the allegations are both “implausible and false.” Furthermore, Snoop claims they are too “threadbare” for a claim under the federal sex trafficking statute and too old to prosecute under state law.

“Nothing remotely resembling plaintiff’s story about defendant Calvin Broadus ever happened. He vehemently denies ever engaging in any sex act with plaintiff or assaulting or battering her,” the lawsuit claims.

The woman alleges Snoop Dogg assaulted her after one of his concerts at the home of his friend Bishop Don Juan, whom she also accused of “forcing her to perform oral sex on him,” in her suit. She alleges Juan “removed his penis from his pants” and “repeatedly shoved his penis into [her] mouth.”

The unidentified accuser further claims Juan took her to Snoop Dogg’s studio to see if he would “make you the weather girl” on a show the rapper was working on. She went along with it “in hopes of advancing her career,” her filing states. While there, she used the bathroom and alleges Snoop walked in and forced her to perform oral sex on him.

“Plaintiff found herself thinking about her job security if she displeased defendant Snoop Dogg,” her complaint states. “Plaintiff felt pressured by defendant Snoop Dogg due to his dominance, and his position of power over her, including his ability to hire and fire her and ensure that she would never be hired in his industry again.”

Snoop Dogg Claims This Is An Attempt To “Extort” Him

She claims the assaults happened during a period she was working for Snoop as a stage dancer, something he denies.

“She provides no allegations of any statement by defendant that he would help her career, and no allegations of any statement about how defendant might advance her career. Instead, the only allegation plaintiff makes is that [co-defendant Donald] Campbell — not defendant — said going to the studio where defendant was would be ‘a career move,’” paperwork filed on behalf of Snoop Dogg states.

The accuser “was never employed by Snoop Dogg or any of his companies and has furnished no proof to support her claim of employment by Snoop Dogg and/or his companies,” a rep for Snoop Dogg confirmed to Rolling Stone

Snoop Dogg asks that the lawsuit be dismissed with prejudice: “Plaintiff’s complaint, launched just days before defendant’s Super Bowl Halftime performance, was a thinly veiled attempt to extort defendant for money to stop plaintiff from continuing to assert her false claims publicly. But the fatal deficiencies in her complaint ensure her gambit will not succeed,” he alleges in the new filings.

Jane Doe’s lawyer, Matt Finkelberg called his client “brave” for standing up to someone with “elite celebrity status.”

“We believe it is the defendants’ intention to attack and intimidate any woman who goes against them,” Finkelberg told Rolling Stone.

His statement continued, “If harassers like Mr. Broadus continue to retaliate against those who stand up to them, we are concerned there will be a disastrous chilling effect, and women will not come forward out of fear of retaliation. Even worse, harassers would feel emboldened to sexually assault without fear of consequences,” he said.

This story is developing.

KRS-One is back.

The Bronx-born goat of rap has been on a tear recently, but was propelled back to the limelight in 2021. His Verzuz battle with Big Daddy Kane was one for the ages. KRS contiunues his reign of lyrical terror with a new album, I M A M C R U 1 2, which dropped on 2/22/22. The album is 14 songs deep and offers the Blast Master in all of his glory with his lyrical range on full display. On top of that, he offers socio-political commentary as well as high level critiques that have made the 50-something emcess famous. The album has enough for the young and the OG. Certainly, after 25-plus albums we’d expect KRS to experience some decline, but that is not happening. As he says often, “I do this!” Indeed he does an at a high level.

My music channels my inner thoughts, and although that varies from one song to another, one common theme that’s shared is independence, hope, and love.”

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation To Produce Docuseries About Parchman Prison

A&E greenlighted a Roc Nation-produced documentary series about the Parchman prison in Mississippi.

Roc Nation’s new docuseries will explore the efforts to reform the Mississippi correctional system. Jay-Z and Yo Gotti previously helped file a civil rights lawsuit on behalf of inmates facing inhumane conditions at Parchman.

“A&E has the privilege to partner with Roc Nation to tell the truly urgent story of Parchman Prison as we continue our commitment to impactful programming,” A&E’s Executive Vice President and Head of Programming Elaine Frontain Bryant said in a press release. “The series is emblematic of larger issues within the U.S. criminal justice system, and we hope it spurs desperately needed awareness both at Parchman Prison and nationwide.”

The four-part documentary will examine the civil rights case and give viewers a look inside the prison. It will also detail the origins of Parchman, exposing its shocking history.

“In 2020, Roc Nation and Team Roc launched a fight to put a stop to the literal death sentences imposed on inmates through the inhumane, violent, and torturous conditions created by Parchman prison officials,” Roc Nation’s CEO Desiree Perez said. “We are honored to develop this series with A&E, Good Caper and ITV to continue to make sure the atrocities and history of Parchman are top of mind on a national stage.”

The upcoming documentary is tentatively titled Exposing Parchman. No release date has been announced for the series.

Megan Thee Stallion Expresses Interest In Directing

Megan Thee Stallion would like to sit in the director’s chair one day.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Megan Thee Stallion discussed her ambitions in the film industry. The 300 Entertainment rapper noted she’d like to direct at some point in her career.

“I definitely want to be an actress, but I also really want to be a director,” she told THR. “I love movies and I’m definitely a film buff.”

She added, “I like to create. Not only do I like to write music, I like to write stories. I definitely want to see these stories come to life.”

Megan Thee Stallion is already making inroads in the movie business after landing her first film role earlier this month. The Houston native will appear in a new A24-produced flick titled F###### Identical Twins.

A directing opportunity may come sooner rather than later as she’s also got a first-look deal with Netflix. Last December, the streaming service announced an agreement with Megan Thee Stallion to create and produce projects for Netflix.
