Netflix Fires Organizer Of Dave Chappelle Walkout Over Alleged Leak

Dave Chappelle’s new special The Closer continues to cause chaos at Netflix.

Netflix has fired one of the people organizing a walkout in protest of Dave Chappelle. The streaming service canned the employee for allegedly leaking confidential financial information.

“We have let go of an employee for sharing confidential, commercially sensitive information outside the company,” the company said in a press statement. “We understand this employee may have been motivated by disappointment and hurt with Netflix, but maintaining a culture of trust and transparency is core to our company.”

Netflix hasn’t revealed the identity of the worker. According to The Verge, the employee is Black and currently pregnant.

The firing comes after a Bloomberg report disclosed how much Netflix was paying Dave Chappelle for The Closer. The streaming service reportedly paid $24.1 million for the special, which was up from the $23.6 million it forked over for comedian’s previous release Sticks & Stones.

Netflix believes the fired employee leaked these numbers to the press. The unnamed worker told The Verge the metrics had been shared internally but refuted being responsible for the leak. The former staffer warned co-workers that leaks could hurt the walkout.

The Netflix transgender employee resource group Trans* has asked its members and allies to walk out on October 20 in protest of the Dave Chappelle controversy. The legendary comedian has come under fire for making transphobic jokes in his latest special.

Cardi B revealed why she stopped talking about politics on social media.

After a Twitter user questioned why Cardi B went silent on political matters, the multi-platinum selling rapper responded in a retweet. Simply put, she was sick of dealing with the backlash.

“I was tired of getting bullied by the republicans and also getting bashed by the same people I was standing up for,” she wrote.

Cardi B won’t discuss politics anymore, but she’s not afraid to clap back at insults. When another Twitter user reacted to her explanation by claiming she sounded “slow,” the Atlantic Records artist retorted with a jab of her own.

“It was the only way YOU would of understand me,” she tweeted.

The New York native often spoke out about politics over the past few years. She was one of the most vocal celebrities raising voter awareness in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election.

Although Cardi B was a supporter of Bernie Sanders, she endorsed Joe Biden once Biden became the Democratic nominee. She even had a one-on-one conversation with the current president in an interview facilitated by ELLE magazine.

Cardi B has shared her thoughts on topics such as police brutality and foreign affairs too. Her opinions and music have routinely made her a target of criticism from Republicans.

Right-wing commentators Tomi Lahren and Candace Owens are two of the notable names who’ve publicly clashed with Cardi B. The “Bodak Yellow” creator has also faced so much harassment from Donald Trump supporters that she had to hire a private investigator at one point.

Common To Star In New Apple TV Drama With David Oyelowo

Rapper-turned-actor Common has been cast in a new Apple TV+ sci-fi drama series. Titled Wool, he joins a star-studded cast of heavy-weight actors.

It won’t be the first time that the Chicago native has shared the screen with big shots, but it will be the first time that he has worked with Rebecca Ferguson from  Mission Impossible: Fallout, Tim Robbins from The Shawshank Redemption, Rashida Jones from The Office and David Oyelowo from Selma.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar winner will play Sims, the silo’s head of judicial security, a character from the Hugh Howey best-selling trilogy.

As a novel, Wool is set in a future dystopia where everyone lives in a giant silo underneath the earth. They live there because they believe the air above ground is toxic, toxic enough to kill you when you breathe it.

The series is adapted from the three books and written for TV by Graham Yost (Justified) and directed by Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game).

Homie is definitely staying busy. Last week he announced that he would be speaking at the Unity for Humanity Summit held on Tuesday, October 12.

Young Thug Sues Apartment For Millions After Jewelry, 200 Unreleased Songs Given To Stranger

Rap star Young Thug is suing the owners of his swanky apartment property known as The Trace.

He claims the concierge service at his apartment building lost his Louis Vuitton bag, which had valuables worth over $1 million inside.

The drama started on November 1st, 2020, when Young Thug returned to Georgia from Los Angeles. He entered the parking garage and unintentionally left his leather Louis Vuitton bag next to his black Lamborghini.

A resident who lived in The Trace reported the bag to Lillie Bouie, an employee who works with the concierge service.

According to Young Thug, Bouie did the right thing by acquiring the bag and holding it for Young Thug in a secured area of The Trace.

She contacted Young Thug to let him know she had the bag and planned to hold it until he could retrieve it.

Bouie also placed a written note on the Louis Vuitton bag to let other concierge employees know not to release the bag without contacting her first to ensure it was returned to the rightful owner.

Despite Bouie’s instructions, another employee named Latoya Guest entered the secure area and released Young Thug’s Louis Vuitton bag to an unknown person.

Guest also never notified Bouie before releasing the bag.

Unfortunately, the bag included $40,000 in cold cash, a diamond-encrusted watch worth $57,000, and a diamond chain worth $37,000.

Most damaging, though, were the 200 unreleased songs on a hard drive that are now missing, which Young Thug said is worth an estimated $1 million.

Young Thug maintains The Trace breached their duty to care for his bag, and now they must pay.

According to Young Thug, The Trace failed to properly supervise the employees or have proper and adequate policies and procedures to protect him and other residents.

Young Thug is suing The Trace for negligence and failure to train its employees.

The news comes on the heels of Young Thug’s new 20-track album PUNK.

PUNK was released today (October 15th) and features guest appearances from J Cole, Gunna, Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, Drake, Future, Doja Cat, and others.

Kanye West is selling his old Hollywood Hills bachelor pad just days after putting his Wyoming ranch on the market.

The rapper has called the Los Angeles pad he’s offloading, for $3.7 million, home for 15 years.

Kanye purchased the place for $1.75 million after scoring a huge hit with “Slow Jamz” in 2003.

The property features breathtaking ocean and city views from every room and comes with a media room, a primary suite, and an ensuite bedroom with a deck.

Following his split from wife Kim Kardashian, Kanye snapped up a $57 million Malibu Beach house, which is now his primary California residence.

The rapper has reportedly listed his Wyoming ranch, which he bought in 2109 for $14 million , for $11 million.

Lil Nas X found out the hard way that the Internet never forgets.

Before he became famous, he allegedly ran a Lil Kim stan page on Twitter. The account, which has the handle of @TheLilKimNews, is currently suspended. But, as that link proves, there are still some responses to it that suggest it was quite the troll account.

So, back in 2015, @TheLilKimNews had some pretty harsh words for Adele.

It should be worth noting that Lil Nas X never confirmed or denied that he was behind the Lil Kim stan account. However, what we say next certainly lends credence to the popular belief that the “Montero” pop-rapper ran this little stan page.

So, yesterday, Adele dropped “Easy on Me,” which made all the girlies go wild for her British brand of R&B soul. (Ain’t that always the case?)

In fairness to Adele, it’s a good song.

Lil Nas X thought so too, and he said as much on Twitter.

But needless to say, when that comment came out, fans were quick to remind him of the @TheLilKimNews account, which fat-shamed Adele to no end.

And, as you can see from the post above, the Tweet was subsequently deleted.

Now, we’re not saying that Lil Nas X is definitely behind the old troll account. But this certainly lends credence to that belief.

Mike Epps’ Prayers Come True With Birth Of Baby Boy

Actor and comedian Mike Epps is dad to a son at last – his wife Kyra Robinson has given birth to a baby boy, the star’s sixth kid.

The couple, which wed in 2019, had daughter Indiana Rose last year while the funnyman is also dad to four other daughters – Madison, Moriah, Makayla, and Bria – from previous relationships.

Now Kyra, a television producer, has given birth to Epps’ first son, sharing the news with a photo of herself snuggling the newborn on Instagram.

“Son, we prayed for you!!! You have officially rocked our world,” she captioned it. “Mama loves you so much.”

Mike has yet to comment but he previously noted he was praying for a boy. Announcing the pregnancy in June, he penned: “we prayin 4 a son.”

The stand-up star told People in 2016, “I wish I had a son… My mother had eight sons and one girl. My mother cried every day. A woman can’t control a little boy that much. You think they can, but it’s like dealing with a little man.”

And he quipped of being inundated with daughters: “I think the gene pool switched up. I had all the girls that she wanted!”

Epps was previously married to Mechelle McCain from 2006 to 2017.

We are trying to figure out exactly where rap playboy Swae Lee falls. Over the years the smooth Gemini has been linked to some bangers, and social media has been his lucky charm.  Which is why his recent poke at hot girl Lizzo has everyone talking.

After posting pictures on Twitter of her at Cardi B’s dancehall themed birthday party, where she wore a diamond-dusted sheer lavender full piece number, the Mississippi chart topper could not resist expressing that he liked what he saw.

Underneath the collage, he posted during the demon hours (1:24 AM) a series of “looky look” eyes and heart eyed emojis.

While some have critiqued the “Truth Hurts” singer for being tasteless style and over sexualizing her swag — the pictures show her being over and show her backside and from a frontal view you see 44Cs  — others believe that she looks mad good.

According to a study done by The Journal of Sex Research there are a lot of men who have no problem with women with a little extra cushion for the pushing. In fact, you probably don’t have to read a scientific study. Just ask your uncles about winter loving from a chubby girl.

Lizzo saw the early morning comment after it was captured by The Shade Room and she had a few words herself. Referencing his Rae Sremmurd’s#### song, “No Type, she said, “Ion got no type,” she wrote, referencing the lyrics to Rae Sremmurd’s#### “No Type.”

Swae Lee doesn’t either. In the past, he has been linked to everyone from Celina Powell to Black Chyna; tried to holla at one of the Obama girls and last thought to be dating Malu Trevejo this summer.

Cardi B’s Doctor To Testify How Tasha K. Drove Rapper Into A Deep Depression

Cardi B insists the wicked lies published by vlogger Tasha K drove her into therapy.

Cardi is suing Tasha for allegedly publishing lies via her YouTube channel unWinewithTashaK. On September 19th, 2018, Tasha K insisted the Bronx rap superstar was a cocaine addict and prostitute with herpes.

Other posts declared Cardi had HPV, was an adulterous cheater on her husband Offset, who performed a debasing act with a beer bottle.

Cardi’s legal team sent a cease and desist letter and demanded the video be taken down, but Tasha K. disregarded the request as the video racked up millions of views. 

During the trial this November, Cardi B plans to call Dr. Sherry L. Blake to testify on her behalf.  Dr. Blake rendered therapeutic coaching to Cardi B in November of 2018 and November of 2020.

Cardi B revealed she was embarrassed, stressed, and humiliated during the sessions due to Tasha k’s ongoing personal attacks.

Cardi said that sometimes she couldn’t sleep, and other times she slept too much. The rapper also suffered from a decreased appetite, anxiousness, and a loss of interest in activities, including working.

Dr. Blake will also testify that Cardi had feelings of hopelessness and helplessness and suffered emotional distress, depression, and anxiety following the offensive remarks made by Tasha K. 

Cardi also intends to call Dr. Tamara Grisales from the Center for Women’s Pelvic Health at UCLA to testify on her behalf, based on the rapper’s medical records.

Tasha K denies she ever used her platform to target Cardi B. She claims she decides what stories will be published based on trending topics.

Tasha K maintains she never fabricated falsehoods about Cardi B and claims the “WAP” hitmaker has confessed to most of the stories she now calls false and defamatory. 

Cardi B has already won round one in her legal battle with Tasha K. 

In July of 2021, a judge tossed Tasha K’s $3 million countersuit against Cardi B, in which she declared the rapper’s associates had threatened her while she was pregnant, forcing her to flee her Georgia home. 

Jury selection for the trial is set to kick off on November 8th, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. in Atlanta.

Salt Bae Blowback: Customers Left HORRIFIED Over A $40k-Plus Bill

Whichever one of you told Salt Bae that he was famous…this is all your fault.

Here’s what happened: four people went to Nur-Et in Knightsbridge, London, for a night of dinner and drinks. The head chef at this restaurant is Nusret Gökçe — better known as “Salt Bae” online — which was part of the appeal for this clearly clout-chasing crowd.

They seemed to have no problem gorging like pigs on all the finest things that the restaurant had to offer — until the bill came.

It was only then that the guests realized they’d rang up a total of more than forty thousand USD on their bill.

They splurged on the Golden Tomahawk — a steak covered in golf leaf (more than $1000 USD) — and a Turkish dessert costing more than $600 USD.

“Other items included pricey sides such as one sautéed broccoli (£14), a portion of asparagus (£18), three herb-crusted fries (£30) and one side of mashed potato (£12),” reported the Manchester Evening News. (Each side was between $20 and $25 USD, for purposes of understanding.)

They also told Salt Bae to bring out his best wine — so he brought out three bottles of wine that were more than $10,000 each. (And to understand that this restaurant really isn’t cheap, one can of Red Bull cost more than $15 USD).

Tatu Panda Releases His Brand New Track “Retrograde”

The origin of house music can be traced back to many locations. Some say Miami is the birthplace of house tracks since it is home to many parties every year. Others would say differently. Whatever the real place is, we can get a glimpse of what it used to be like when we listen to Tatu Panda’s new song “Retrograde”. The song takes the listeners back in time to give them a taste of the originals.

A newcomer to music creation, Tatu Panda made a name for himself by giving the fans what they want. Everyone wants a new flair, a unique take on the music. Tatu Panda breaks the norm by giving us a peek at what the classical form was. Fans were not sure what to make of it at first, but now slowly they have learned to appreciate the majesty of “Retrograde”.

The track “Retrograde” pays homage to the original style of the music. But it isn’t a note for note recreation of what already existed, it respects the tracks of old while putting the personal touch of Tatu in them. This resulted in a track that is fun, enjoyable, and relaxing to listen to while preserving the essence of house music.

Fat Trel Released From Prison

Fat Trel is a free man again.

The 31-year-old rapper was released from prison on Friday. Multiple videos of Fat Trel basking in his freedom surfaced on social media.

“They just freed the m############ real!” he said in one clip. “You know what the f### it is! The king of Northeast is back, n####, and you know what the f### is up with me n####.”

Fat Trel, whose real name is Martrel Reeves, was serving time behind bars for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. In July 2018, cops found a ghost gun in his car during a traffic stop.

According to the gun control and anti-gun violence nonprofit Brady United, ghost guns are “unserialized and untraceable firearms.” They can be purchased online and assembled at home.

In another clip from the post-release celebration, Fat Trel artist insisted he’s done carrying guns.

“No more guns for Fat Trel,” he declared. “Make sure all the P.O.’s and parole and the judges see this!”

The former Maybach Music Group pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a ghost gun in 2020. He was sentenced to two years and six months in federal prison as well as three years of supervised release.

The Starz network debuted a new trailer for Power Book II: Ghost on Thursday. Season 2 of the crime drama will premiere on Sunday, November 21 at 8 pm ET.

Michael Rainey Jr. (Tariq St. Patrick), Mary J. Blige (Monet Stewart Tejada), Cliff “Method Man” Smith (Davis MacLean), Shane Johnson (Cooper Saxe), Larenz Tate (Rashad Tate), and Woody McClain (Cane Tejada) are part of the Ghost cast.

Power Book II: Ghost is the sequel to Power which ended its six-season run on Starz in 2020. Following the end of the original Power, creators of the show extended the story to Power Book II later that year.

In doing so, Monet finds herself in bed with Mecca, a man who wants to show her a whole new world, potentially at the cost of destroying her old one, forcing Monet to lean on Tariq, who must decide what he really wants and what he’s going to sacrifice to get it.

Courtney A. Kemp and 50 Cent also produce Power Book III: Raising Kanan starring MeKai Curtis, Patina Miller, Omar Epps, Joey Bada$$, and Quincy Brown. Former Destiny’s Child singer LeToya Luckett is joining the show’s second season.

50 Cent and Randy Huggins’s BMF series airs on the Starz channel as well. The program about the rise of the notorious criminal organization known as the Black Mafia Family earned a sophomore season after debuting as the #1 premiere on the Starz app this year.

Nick Cannon appears to be a very busy man. The 41-year-old father of seven hosts a daytime television talk show, a morning radio show, and the Wild ‘n Out improv game show.

Apparently, Nick Cannon is also managing the career of Hip Hop legend Lil Kim. The Queen Bee recently appeared on an episode of Complex‘s “Hiking with Rappers” YouTube series.

While walking the trails of the Los Angeles area, Lil Kim spoke to King Keraun about her storied career in the entertainment business. Kim also revealed she is currently closely aligned with Nick Cannon.

“I just shot a movie with Nick Cannon. Nick Cannon, people don’t even know, he’s one of my best friends. We’ve been best friends for years,” said Lil Kim. “We just shot a movie called Miracle Across 125th Street. It’s like the Friday of Christmas movies.”

The Brooklyn-bred rapper/actress added, “I really did that movie for Nick. It’s part of my next level, Nick is convincing me. You know, he’s my manager?”

Previously, Nick Cannon worked as a manager for SlutWalk organizer Amber Rose. Cannon’s NCredible Entertainment has also been associated with Wild ‘n Out cast members like Hitman Holla, Conceited, Charlie Clips, and Justina Valentine.

Lil Kim released her 9 album in 2019. That project joined a catalog that includes 1996’s Hard Core, 2000’s The Notorious K.I.M., 2003’s La Bella Mafia, and 2005’s The Naked Truth.

In addition, the Junior M.A.F.I.A. member starred in and produced VH1’s Girls Cruise reality show. Lil Kim was also hired to narrate American Gangster: Trap Queens on the BET+ streaming service.

Summer Walker Recruits JT From City Girls For New Single “Ex For A Reason”

The world is officially entering Summer Walker season. The R&B singer-songwriter is preparing to release her sophomore studio LP, Still Over It, on November 5.

Summer Walker provided her fans a taste of what to expect on Still Over It by dropping a new single off the project. “Ex For A Reason” featuring JT of the City Girls landed on Friday (October 15).

According to Summer Walker, “Ex For A Reason” was co-written by Sean Garrett and produced by Buddah Bless. Still Over It will also host 19 other tracks including a closer called “Ciara’s Prayer” narrated by “Goodies” hitmaker Ciara.

Summer Walker released her breakout project, Over It, in 2019. That album opened at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 134,000 first-week units.

Over It reached the pinnacle of the Top R&B Albums and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts as well. The song “Playing Games” peaked at #16 on the Hot 100 rankings, giving Summer Walker her first Top 20 hit.

In addition, “Girls Need Love (Remix)” with Drake hit #37 on the Hot 100. Over the last two years, Summer Walker also collaborated with 21 Savage, Trey Songz, Moneybagg Yo, Sam Smith, Justin Bieber, and other acts.

Rory & Mal Sign Reported $10 Million Deal With SiriusXM’s Stitcher

Rory Farrell and Jamil “Mal” Clay inked a new deal for their podcast. The New Rory and Mal show is now headed over to SiriusXM’s Stitcher through the More Sauce label.

Vulture broke the news that Rory and Mal signed on with SiriusXM. Previously, they were part of The Joe Budden Podcast team before parting ways with Budden in May.

Rory & Mal reportedly still maintain 100% ownership of their podcast. The first edition of New Rory and Mal on Stitcher is scheduled to be released on November 2 with new episodes arriving every Tuesday and Friday.

According to Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder and Mal’s older brother Kareem “Biggs” Burke, the Stitcher deal is worth eight figures. Biggs tweeted a photo of Rory and Mal with a caption that read, “What a fresh 10 million looks like.”

“I think the whole world saw what Mal and I stood for, and where our heads were as far as what we were going to tolerate and not tolerate,” Rory told Vulture.

He continued, “We weren’t just going to do a deal just to do a deal. We’ve publicly turned down more money than most podcasters have ever dreamed to see. So we’re not doing something unless it’s a deal that’s fair.”

Rory and Mal were essentially fired from The Joe Budden Podcast after repeated disagreements with the main host Joe Budden. In response, New Rory and Mal launched in July. They were replaced on The JBP by Ice and Ish.

“Speaking for myself, I’m totally moved on in regard to that. I don’t even think about it. Where Rory and I stand now, looking back, it was the best thing that happened. I don’t have any reservations or any hard feelings toward anybody,” said Mal about The JPB breakup.

Rory added, “I do think it was a blessing. I kinda wish it didn’t have to play out publicly. I thought that was a little corny. I thought we were all better than that, but you know, it is what it is. It made for good entertainment, I guess.”

The official New Rory and Mal YouTube channel amassed over 7 million views since May. The duo’s most recent episode – titled “Sport Mode” – currently has 219,000 plays on the platform.

Ludacris Gifts $10K To Father-Daughter Duo For Prison App

Ludacris appeared on an episode of “The Ellen Show” recently and surprised a father-daughter duo with a check for $10,000. 

Jay’Aina “Jay Jay” Patton and her father Antoine created an app to help connect incarcerated parents with their children. They created the “Photo Patch” app out of first-hand experience, Antoine having spent time behind bars.  

Ellen invited the software developers on the show to bring light to their app.  

“Right now, I’m on a mission to help 10,000 girls of color get into the world of tech and start their career path,” Jay Jay said to Ellen and the studio audience. “Just for me, there’s not much representation of people who look like me in the world of tech and I know other little girls want to get into this world. They don’t see that they can do it.”

Young tech entrepreneur Jay Jay has created a scholarship fund to help other Black girls get their start in the technology industries.  

“I want to be that guide and help them do it — and just start them off with their career,” she said. “I actually have a scholarship fund as well that we’re raising awareness for to help these women and girls start their career.” 

Ellen then introduced her surprise guest saying, “I have a friend who heard about this and he wants to help,” before Ludacris came out. 

Explaining that he can relate to their mission because he has incarcerated family members, he told Jay Jay and Antoine, “[I] absolutely love what you’re doing. I have family members that are incarcerated and all they ever ask for is pictures.”  

Ludacris then revealed his gift saying:  

“You guys are connecting the world. I have my own foundation that helps facilitate dreams for young ladies like yourself. I came here personally because I want to donate $10,000 to what you’re doing.” 

Ellen then matched Luda’s donation presenting Jay Jay and Antoine with another $10,000 check.
