Even 50 Cent was surprised when Le Chemin du Roi came out on top and was named 2021’s Reserve Grand Champion.

Trey Songz In More Trouble Over Altercation In Traffic

R&B star Trey Songz has a new legal issue on his hands after he was accused of injuring a woman during a hit-and-run incident.

The “Bottoms Up hitmaker reportedly became embroiled in an argument with a female driver shortly after midnight on Thursday, and as the altercation escalated, Songz allegedly bumped his car into hers.

This prompted the woman to get out of her vehicle to confront him.

However, the singer was apparently not interested in discussing the incident further and is accused of speeding off, hitting her hand with his car in the process.

The alleged victim called the police over the altercation, which was registered as a hit-and-run.

The woman was not hospitalized as she declined medical attention. It’s unclear where the clash took place, but the incident is now under investigation.

Representatives for Trey Songz have yet to officially comment on the claims, but a source close to the star has denied any wrongdoing.

The news emerges days after Trey Songz was slapped with a lawsuit, accusing him of punching a bartender at a Cardi B concert in Hollywood in 2019. That lawsuit was filed a week after prosecutors in Missouri declined to pursue charges following an alleged fight with a police officer at an American football game in January.

Lil Baby Posts Release Date For ‘Voice Of The Heroes’ Joint Project With Lil Durk

Whether intentional or accidental, it appears the post-and-delete is the new rollout for Hip Hop artists. After Dreamville Records’ Bas spoiled J. Cole’s The Off-Season album release date announcement in April, Lil Baby seemed to do the same for his own forthcoming body of work with Lil Durk.

On Sunday (May 9), Atlanta’s Lil Baby uploaded a photo of himself and Lil Durk to his Instagram account. The caption for the now-removed picture read, “How does Voice of the Heroes dropping May 28 sound? 🤔 @lildurk 🤯🤯🤯🔥🔥.”

Lil Baby’s post-and-delete (via DJ Akademiks)

Both Lil Baby and Lil Durk have been teasing Voice of the Heroes for months. Back in March, they used their respective Instagram Stories to push the other to move forward with the potential project.

Durk took it a step further on his main Instagram page. The Only The Family frontman tried to activate his nearly 10 million IG followers by posting, “100k comments, me and @lilbaby gone drop our tape….. The voice x The hero.”

Then a week later, Lil Baby confirmed he and Lil Durk were recording a collaborative effort. The Quality Control Music representative even declared about Voice Of The Heroes, “It’s gonna be one of the craziest albums to ever come out.”

Thanks to a new collaboration on the #1 album Khaled Khaled by DJ Khaled, fans got an appetizer for what is likely to be the direction Lil Durk and Lil Baby take with Voice of the Heroes. The two hitmakers united for DJ Khaled’s “Every Chance I Get” track, and the song spent time at #1 on Apple Music’s Top 100: USA daily chart.

In addition, DJ Khaled, Lil Baby, and Lil Durk filmed an official music video for “Every Chance I Get.” The visual hit YouTube on May 4 and has already amassed more than 6 million views. It is currently the #1 trending video on the platform for music.

Lil Reese Addresses Leaked “Thirsty” DMs To Rubi Rose

Social media users were having a field day this weekend when Rubi Rose’s Twitter account supposedly got hacked. Alleged screenshots of direct messages from Lil Reese and Kodak Black began circulating online.

As far as Lil Reese, the leaked DMs appeared to show him sending at least six messages to the For The Streets rapstress without receiving a reply. The Chicago Drill rapper was accused of coming off as overly eager to get Rose’s attention.

“Them old ass DMs you only see what I’m saying tryna make it seem like I’m thirsty get yo goof ass on…,” tweeted Reese on May 8 in response to getting clowned on Twitter.

The Supa Savage mixtape creator then began responding to people on the platform. At one point Reese posted, “It ain’t s### to unsend DMs get yall slow ass on.” He later added, “Lol [shut the f### up] she deleted her s###.”

After one user called on him to release his side of the DMs in order to prove Rubi Rose deleted her messages, Reese wrote, “I ain’t messy like that. I will never. She was hacked so [why] would I do that.” Plus, the 28-year-old Chief Keef collaborator tweeted, “I ain’t finna go back and forth about no goofy s###. [I don’t] care what it is…”

The Kentucky-born Rubi Rose reportedly dated high-profile Hip Hop artists like Playboi Carti and Travis Scott in the past. Earlier this year, she accused her now-ex-boyfriend DDG of being jealous and controlling while they were in a public relationship.

“Literally blocks every rapper in the industry who DMs me… like damn I just wanna make music smh. [I don’t give a f###] how another n#### feel about me,” tweeted Rose about the YouTuber-turned-recording artist. “I love him [for real], but it’s just too much now. He deserves to be happy and so do I. He wants to chase prostitutes, I’m not the one for him.”

The “He In His Feelings” performer also wrote, “This n#### mad I don’t wanna be with him and took my phone and posted that weird s###. Literally locked himself in a room and took my phone.” DDG claimed those allegations were not true.

DJ Khaled Earns Third No. 1 Album With ‘Khaled Khaled’

DJ Khaled’s twelfth studio LP is the best-selling album in America this week. Khaled Khaled became the music producer/record executive’s third Number One of his career.

The 14-track project collected 93,000 first-week album units. That final sales total for Khaled Khaled was slightly below the 100,000 mark projected by industry prognosticators.

However, those opening week numbers were enough for DJ Khaled to add his latest effort to his personal list of Number Ones. Khaled Khaled joins 2016’s Major Key and 2017’s Grateful as Billboard 200 chart-toppers.

Khaled Khaled featured an impressive lineup of guest features. Lil Wayne, Jeremih, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Cardi B, H.E.R., Migos, Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Justin Bieber, 21 Savage, Roddy Ricch, Drake, Big Sean, Rick Ross, Nas, Jay-Z, Meek Mill, and more acts made appearances on the album.

Over the last couple of weeks, DJ Khaled released the official music videos for “Sorry Not Sorry,” “Where You Come From,” and “We Going Crazy.” He also published visualizers and behind-the-scenes video shoot footage to his YouTube page.

This week’s Billboard 200 also includes Moneybagg Yo’s A Gangsta’s Pain falling one spot to #2 on the most recent rankings. The Memphis-bred rhymer earned his first #1 album a week ago.

Young Thug and YSL’s former No. 1 Slime Language 2 slipped three slots to #5 in its third week of release. Rod Wave’s SoulFly also spent one week in the pole position but the set currently sits at #6 on the Billboard 200.

Pop Smoke’s posthumous 2020 album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon continues to maintain a position in the Top 10. The former Number One jumped two spots to #8 this week. The Weeknd’s After Hours dropped from #7 to #9. That R&B/Pop album opened at #1 in 2020.

J. Cole Set To Release ‘The Off-Season’ Documentary

Later today (May 10), J. Cole is gifting his fans some special content. The North Carolina-raised emcee/producer announced he is releasing a documentary for The Off-Season album.

“Applying Pressure. The Off-Season Documentary. Dropping tomorrow at 1 pm eastern,” tweeted J. Cole on Sunday afternoon.

Many Twitter users seemed very excited about the forthcoming doc. Cole’s announcement was retweeted over 3,400 times and received more than 129,000 likes.

Previously, J. Cole revealed The Off-Season studio LP will come out this Friday, May 14. The Grammy winner released “Interlude” last week as the lead single for the project.

“Interlude” is expected to debut high on next week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track opened at #1 on Spotify’s daily U.S. Top 200 tally with 2,461,981 streams. It remained in the Top 5 the following day.

The official YouTube audio version of “Interlude” amassed more than 4 million plays since the song arrived on the website. It continues to trend in the Top 5 on the platform three days after its release.

The Off-Season will join a discography that includes 2011’s Cole World: The Sideline Story, 2013’s Born Sinner, 2014’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive, 2016’s 4 Your Eyez Only, and 2018’s KOD. Each one of those albums topped the Billboard 200 chart.

J. Cole scored another #1 in 2019 with Dreamville Records’ Revenge of the Dreamers III. That collection was accompanied by Dreamville Presents: Revenge which documented the making of the star-studded compilation. The record label later released the “Happy Anniversary #ROTD3″ video as well.

Throughout his career, J. Cole has presented various films connected to his musical bodies of work. J. Cole: Road to Homecoming, Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming, Eyez, and J. Cole: 4 Your Eyez Only were all created to provide additional context to Cole’s music.

Was Saweetie Begging For Money Or What?

So, Saweetie was on the beach, or boardwalk essentially asking for donations – people say. And this was for what she is calling “pretty b#tch summer” donations on Santa Monica out there in Cali. Now, a lot of people were making a big deal out of this because they assume that, for some reason, she was really asking for donations. Like for real, for real! I never once thought that that was the case but it seems like a lot of people did.

https://twitter.com/that90clubs1/status/1390849506422444032?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1390849506422444032%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=

That said, it seems like Saweetie is in a bit of a crisis mode now that this gossip this has some legs. People are really believing that she’s asking for money, and with her relationship with Quavo going kaput, that adds to it all. The other thing, I saw was just a real lack of enthusiasm from the audience and Saweetie herself. I don’t know, I just don’t get it. If there was a gag, people didn’t really get it.

Saweetie Getting Over Quavo By Working And Planning To Make $900 Million

So where are we with all this? It seems like now they are doing damage control and trying to clean up the story and state that she wasn’t actually begging for money. I think they are about to show up on some major media outlet to explain. I know she’s not really out there asking for money like the rest of us so this may have been the plan all along.

So the thing I am curious about is is this all to prove that she can do her own thing without Quavo?

Kevo Muney: Bringing Soul Back to Rap

Kevo Muney is the real baby GOAT, so you already know what type of time he’s on.

Born and raised in South Memphis, an adolescent Kevo would walk to Beale Street and spend his waking hours singing for money, making up to $400 a day.

Carving his own lane deemed “trap soul,” the rising star is here to become one of the greats in the rap game.

Describing himself as “one-of-a-kind,” Kevo states, “One of a kind. I’ll always be myself. I don’t try to fit in, I don’t try to stand out too much. I just be me. Most of us all, I’m one of one.”

At only 20 years old, Kevo is already living his dreams out on the daily, signing to Atlantic Records and receiving cosigns from elites such as Lil Baby, Chief Keef, Kevin Gates, Gunna, and more.

Most recently, he released his heartfelt mixtape titled “Lucille’s Grandson, spitting his truth in the form of street anthems. The project hails standout single “Leave Some Day,” tapping Lil Durk for the official remix.

Read below as we discuss his roots in Memphis, performing on Beale Street as a kid, biggest influences, how he got his name, the success of “Leave Someday,” his new project “Lucille’s Grandson” named after his grandma, why he’s the baby GOAT, studio essentials, why he doesn’t set goals, and more!

AllHipHop: I love your smile. You always smiling?

Kevo Muney: Yeah I got to, every time.

AllHipHop: What makes you one of one?

Kevo Muney: I carry myself. For me to be 20 years old, I carry myself in a good way. I don’t be in no b#######. I don’t be on no negative, s### like that, you know? And I think for my age, at 20 years old, anybody wasn’t on no s### and (can’t decipher). I’m on some positive s###.

AllHipHop: What was the household like growing up in Memphis?

Kevo Muney: Growing up, it was fun. I can’t say it was too bad, I can’t say it was too good. It was fun for the most part. My mama had 8 kids! 4 boys, 4 girls. I’m the last one, but I didn’t start living with my momma until I was 5 or 6 years old. When my mama birthed me, I actually left the hospital with my god-grandma. I used to go to my mama’s house on the weekends. My brothers and sisters barely knew who I was. They used to tease me, saying I was adopted because I used to barely come around. It took me until I got to 7, 8, 9, 10 for me to know I got 7 other brothers and sisters. Growing up, it was fun though.

AllHipHop: What was fun? What do you remember?

Kevo Muney: Walking around the hood. Being in my own world, just finding myself. Because my older brothers didn’t want me to hang around them. Every time I try to hang around my older brothers, they used to say “nah man, you gotta go your own way.” They forced me to find my own way, find my own path. That’s when I started being in my own world, trying to figure out what I liked to do and what I didn’t like to do. I used to love going downtown on Beale Street making money. That’s what I used to do everyday, walk downtown and make money.

AllHipHop: Biggest influences coming up?

Kevo Muney: I was bumping everybody who’s poppin’ all the time. For my personal use, I’d listen to blues music like BB King, Bobby Womack, Bobby Blue Bland, Willy Claim, Otis Redding, people like it. I started getting into rap around the time I turned into a teenager. I was 13, 14, 15, that’s when I started getting into rap. Rap came with growing up.

Growing up where I’m from, when you start to get 13 to 15, it’s your first time really experiencing everything. That’s my first time smoking weed. That’s around the first time I started having sex. That’s the first time I started doing everything, when I was 13 or 14 being a teenager. It came with maturity, rapping came in as I got older.

AllHipHop: When did you realize you could do music for a living?

Kevo Muney: I didn’t ever want it to be a career. At the beginning when I used to go downtown and sing, it used to be my hustle. I never used to think ”this right here can take me this place and this place, or it can make me this much amount of money or it can give me this much fame.” I was never in it for that, I was simply going downtown to get money. My brothers, their hustle was fundraising. They used to fundraise for the football team they used to play with. That’s how they got a few dollars in their pocket. When they used to force me to not hang with them, it forced me to get my own hustle now. See what I’ma do on my own, so now I gotta find my own way.

That’s when I found out I can sing a little bit, let me go try this out. They started loving it. It was a hustle to me, I never was thinking long-term with it. I was never thinking “I can make this a career, I can do this for a lifetime” or nothing like that. I was doing it because it was keeping money in my pocket. I gained a love for music as I kept doing it but at first, I didn’t have no love for music. I was doing it because it got me money like everybody else. Hustle and get their money, that’s what I was doing.

AllHipHop: Is that how you got your name?

Kevo Muney: Nah, I made my own nickname up. I got a brother named DJ. He wasn’t always DJ, my mama gave him that nickname when he was a baby. I don’t know why, but I always wanted a nickname. I never liked it when people called me Kevian. It came with me being in middle school, this is when I came up with a nickname. I said “my name Kevo!” I made everybody call me Kevo and it’s been Kevo ever since. I put Muney behind it because that’s my first love, money. Not gonna lie, I love money. I’ve been getting money since I was 10, on and off. I’ve been getting money on and off my whole life. Literally since I was 8, 9, 10, I’ve been getting money. I spell it Muney because I always remind myself: “who got money?” You! That’s why I put ‘u’, instead of an ‘o’.

AllHipHop: “Leave Someday” was a big song for you. Did you think that would blow up?

Kevo Muney: Yeah facts, I always knew that song was gonna blow up. It’s timeless music. I got timeless music. I could’ve put that song out 5 years ago, or I could’ve put it out 5 years from now and it would’ve did the same thing. That music right there is timeless, you can’t even put no time on it. Certain songs, you have to say “we gotta put this out right now, it gotta blow right now.” That song right there, you can do anything with it and it’ll do the same thing.

AllHipHop: What were you going through recording it?

Kevo Muney: At that time I had lost both of my grandmas a month or two apart. I went to the studio, that’s what came out of me. Every time I go into the studio, 9 times out of 10 I’d went through some s###. Even if it’s the simplest s### or a large situation, I always have something on my mind when I’m going to the studio so I could have a topic to go off of. Just so happened, that’s the day I had to go in the studio and let that out.

AllHipHop: How did it feel getting Durk on the record?

Kevo Muney: It feels good, I f### with Durk. We were texting this morning for real, for real. Him and Pooh Shiesty, they shooting a video in Memphis. He was supposed to tell me, but he was saying it was a last minute situation. They didn’t even know they were gonna shoot the video.

AllHipHop: Why are you the baby GOAT?

Kevo Muney: The meaning behind it, I started off with the GOAT s### right? When I started out with the GOAT s###, I seen too much s### going on with it as far as people taking the name too serious. “Oh, he ain’t the GOAT! He ain’t did this, he ain’t did that.” But you don’t know the reason I call myself the GOAT. I don’t get mad when people call other people GOATs because everybody is your GOAT in your own world. I don’t know who your GOAT is in your own world, everybody got their own GOATs in their own lives.

I really let go of GOAT term, calling myself the GOAT because people were taking it too seriously. I look at s### like if I ain’t making no money off of it, then I don’t even give a f### about it. So I let it go. I started calling myself the baby GOAT, I said I’ma leave the GOAT title to people like Stevie Wonder, Prince, James Brown, and Usher. Ill let them have the GOAT title, I’m baby GOAT. then I’ve been seeing some people on the baby GOAT wave. I used to get mad when I seen people doing the GOAT s### or carrying themselves like that, because I know when I was sitting down and making this s### up, I didn’t copy off nobody. For me to see people on some GOAT s###, it used to make me mad. As I got older and matured more, I got to thinking “I can’t get mad because I’m influencing people.” I had to look at it like anybody I see that’s doing what I’m doing, I influenced them.

AllHipHop: Lucille’s Grandson out now. How are you feeling?

Kevo Muney: I’m feeling good. I’m glad to get this music out to my fans. That’s all I’ve been wanting to do for real, for real.

AllHipHop: What’s the meaning behind the title?

Kevo Muney: See, I was gon’ name my mixtape Biggest GOAT on the Farm. Lucille’s Grandson was sitting so heavy on my heart, so I had to go and move with that name. The meaning speaks for itself. Anybody who got a grandma, whether your grandma dead or alive, everybody’s grandma got a certain spot in their heart. This is me explaining how I feel about my grandma. I know it’s a lot of people out there that got a mutual feeling because 9 times out of 10, everybody love their grandma.

AllHipHop: The first record is “Happiness From Within,” what is happiness from within to you?

Kevo Muney: A lot of people be living in a shadow. I’m one of those people that always have a smile on my face, but I’ll be going through a lot of s### on the inside. I have a smile on my face, but I be frowning in the inside. You gotta have happiness from within. You gotta be happy on the inside. Stop trying to look happy, be happy.

AllHipHop: Favorite songs on the project and why?

Kevo Muney: “I Got Feelings” and “3 in a Row.” “I Got Feelings,” it’s different. It’s coming different as a whole from how I usually come. I’m still coming how I come, but I’m coming different. “3 in a Row,”” that’s a banger off the rip. That’s a banger all-around.

AllHipHop: How does it feel to get co-signs from Lil Baby, Chief Keef, Kevin Gates, Gunna?

Kevo Muney: It feels good. You know how that goes. I’ve been expecting this s### though, not gonna lie. I know how hard I work and I know how hard my music is. I know I’m hard, not on no cocky s###. Me understanding music, I’ve been doing music since I was 12 or 13. Rapping at 12 or 13, so I know good music from bad music. If my music was trash, I would’ve been stopped rapping. I’ll be brutally honest with myself. Before I let the world criticize me and make me feel bad, I’ll tell myself “lil bruh, this is not it! Go put that s### in the garbage.”

I understand music enough for me to say “man little bruh, you hard!” That’s what I always tell myself. I don’t need nobody else to tell me, I don’t need nobody else to boost my ego. And I got potential out the roof. For me be 20 years old, I got a long way to go. I’m gonna have a wild story! When my life ends, my story gonna be wild man. I’ve had some ups and some downs, but through it all, everybody’s going to say “man, that young n*gga was that.” He was that, all-around.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

Kevo Muney: I need some waterbottles. I need some weed. I need my engineer Anthony. If I ain’t in there with Ant, I don’t really be feeling the studio session. When I be locked in with my boy Ant, we be locked in for real for real. He be making me come out with my hardest s###.

AllHipHop: Goals for yourself at this point in your career?

Kevo Muney: I don’t like to set goals for myself. I always feel like whatever gon’ happen, gon’ happen. Whatever meant to happen, gon’ happen. Whatever ain’t meant to happen, it ain’t meant to happen. I’m going with the flow. Wherever this s### takes me, that’s where I’m gon’ go. I ain’t expecting nothing out of this s###, but my fans to love my music and money. Don’t expect nothing else. I love my fans and money. [laughs] I ain’t with all that other stuff.

Women Jump On Bobby V Over “IG Thots” Comments

Bobby V is getting dragged yet again. First of all, the singer, known for many hits that I can’t name right now, decided to jump on Instagram and weigh in on Instagram Jawns. I am not sure what would make him do this, but let’s just say he was speaking his whole mind. At any rate, here’s what he said and the clap backs were thunderous.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

Here’s the issue, there was a very powerful and strong rumor that Bobby V indulged in relationships with transgender women. This happened ALLEGEDLY a few years ago in 2017. The brother was allegedly caught on video by a transgender when he was leaving an apartment without paying for her services. The video, shows a man that looks a lot like Bobby V, wearing no pants and covering his face. Eventually, he leaves the alleged transsexual person without his personal effects. While he’s leaving, they name check Bobby V stating that he has forgotten his shoes, key and other items.

Does this mean it is him, no! He has denied all the allegations, but  I don’t believe it has been factchecked this on Snopes.

And then on another occasion, TMZ reported that Bobby V was a suspect in a rape case. Of course that didn’t pan out, and he was absolved of all wrong doing in that matter. However, it just seems like quite a bit of smoke around this guy. I do think that he is entitled to his opinion but why would you want to have a comment about women in the year 2021? You an R&B guy…singing to the ladies! I just think that it’s best to keep your views to yourself unless you’re willing to take the whole weight of pressure from social media

Bobby V had some heat though!

Lil Pump Furious After Luxury Cars Vandalized At His House

Rapper Lil Pump has vowed to pump some lead into a vandal or vandals, who ruined his luxury cars.

Pump was enjoying a night out on the town with his girlfriend, when he came home to his residence in Florida, to find most of his vehicles had been damaged.

The rapper was furious when he noticed several of his SUVs, as well as his black Rolls-Royce, all had their windows busted out.

It’s unclear if Lil Pump is going to involve the cops, and his insurance for the luxury vehicles will most likely cover the damage.

Drake, Offset, Coi Leray And Some Hardcore Rappers Celebrate Mother’s Day With Loving, Warm Tributes

Today, May 9th is one of the most special days of the year – Mother’s Day.

On this rare day, even the hardest rappers soften up a little bit to honor the woman that birthed them, or their kids. Last year was hard on pretty much everyone in the world – thanks to social distancing.

That damned coronavirus kept millions of us from seeing our moms out of fear of giving – or catching the coronavirus to ol’ girl – which is why this year’s Mother’s Day is extra special.

Over the last 12 months, every mom was forced to adjust to a new way of living. In addition to the usual list of endless duties, mothers around the world became teachers, playmates, confidants and more, during quarantine.

This year, Mother’s Day has given us a chance to appreciate mom, as well as any motherly figure, whether it’s mom, grandmom, a sister, or a good friend.

Some of the world’s best-known rappers took a little time out of their day to show some love to their moms, from Offset to one of the hardest rappers ever – Game.

“Hopefully yall having a beautiful Mother’s Day Weekend,” Game said as he whipped his Lamborghini around Los Angeles running errands. “Shout out to all yalls mommas, all the mommas around the world, you know I love yall. Shout out to all the baby’s mommas, shout out to all the baby daddies that be acting like b######, they mommas too.”

Offset gave his fans a rare glimpse of his mother as a little baby, while sharing some touching words for the woman who birthed 1/3rd of The Migos – one of the dopest trios to each touch the mics.

“Happy Mothers Day to the strongest, smartest women (sic). I get all my ingredients, talent, and brains for you (sic). Love you so much, so thankful for you,” Offset said to his mom.”

Fat Joe thanked his mother as he matured as a man, and left the streetlife behind. Joe is always appreciative of both of his parents, but today his love was reserved for the woman who birthed him.

“Life is full of up”s and down but there’s nothing like knowing you have your mother’s unconditional support,” Fat Joe said. “Mommy i can’t make up for the times i was in the streets, i can only try to improve and make you proud. I got everything from you my love for music , my philanthropy, my unconditional love for my family thank you for being my mama.”

Unfortunately, Snoop Dogg’s mom is having some sort of issues today, because the rap legend asked his followers to pray for Mama Broadus – and his fans – and fellow artists took him up on his request.

“🙏🏾🙏🏾💕💕💕😢 I need all my prayer warriors for momma right now please and thank you 🙏🏾🌹💝,” Snoop Dogg wrote next to a picture of his mother.

Rappers from 50 Cent to Warren G. offered up prayers for Snoop’s mom, while Pharrell came through with an extraordinarily thoughtful gesture by sending Snoop him an amazing bouquet of flowers, which made him feel better.

“Skateboard P, thank you brother, I appreciate your love for sending me some flowers to get my spirit right,” Snoop Dogg said. “Its a real friend right there.”

Will Smith brought some humor to the day, with a picture of him embracing his mom, along with a hilarious caption apologizing for an entanglement she caught him in when he was still a teenager.

“Mom, I’m sorry about that time when I was a senior in high school and you caught me in the kitchen with my girlfriend…but, really you should’ve been asleep,” the “Parents Just Don’t Understand” rapper said.

Fellow Philly rapper Meek Mill vowed to be a help the mothers of his children but admitted it was tough – because like a lot of men, he was used to seeing his mother do everything! Meek thanked his mother for keeping the ills of the ghetto at bay, while admitting she did everything with him, from “coaching him at rumbles” to “boosting” clothes with him!

Ima start balling with my mother more…he strongest woman I know… I seen my mom do so much for me, I’m still learning how to help my kids mothers out more because it was normal for me to me to see a woman do everything for her family! Thankyou… my mom used to assemble my basketball courts … coach me a at rumbles… wash my clothes til this day…we used to hit malls together boosting together lol You couldn’t imagine! My mom never let me feel the pain of the ghetto I would of thought we was rich! Happy Mother’s Day! Can’t never get blinded she rode the hardest my whole life!

In addition to celebrating his mother-in-law, Ja Rule acknowledged his wife Aisha, who has been with the rapper through thick and thin.

“Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful sexy wife!!! 😘 I love your smile baby you gave me the 3 best gifts a man could ever have or wish for love you and cherish you today and everyday!!!” Ja Rule said.

Coi Leray, who is working on her strained relationship with veteran rapper/Source Magazine founder Benzino, normally keeps her mom out of the spotlight. But today, she shared an adorable picture of ma dukes snuggling her when she was just a tiny baby.

Like Ja Rule, Swizz Beatz, who presided over a Mother’s Day Verzuz battle between SWV and Xscape last night (May 8th), showed some love to his mother-in-law – the one who gave the world the unbelievable talents of Alicia Keys.

“Happy Birthday ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Momma Keys 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank you for bringing the world your magic 🙏🏽 Happy Mother’s Day 🌺🌸🌻🌷🌹🌷🌺🌺🌸💐🌸🌸🌺🌻🌸🌸,” Swizz Beatz said.

Indeed this is an accomplishment.

His troubled teenage years proved a struggle as the streets were calling his name and he answered the call … several times.

However, his parents supported him and helped him earn his high school diploma from Berkeley High School by encouraging him to go to night school.

That seems like years ago.

Now, The New York Times best-selling author has been inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame, has penned two books “Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It” and “Shook One: Anxiety Playing Tricks on Me” and he has become renowned podcaster.

In 2020, he also launched Black Effect Podcast Network in partnership with iHeartMedia.

A staunch advocate for mental health and wellness awareness, everyone hopes that his newly decorated doctorate will be used to help others.

Otto Kash is Passionate About His Music and Has Plans to Take it to The Next Level

Macon, Georgia  – May 1st, 2021 – Fresh, purposeful, and versatile – this is one of the most accurate descriptions of the artist Otto Kash. This new and upcoming artist composes in the genres hip-hip, R&B, and rap. Passionate about music, Otto Kash has just released his first music project, a new single, which is expected to be widely received.

The young artist’s music stands out due to his ability to compose in diverse styles. Not one to bind himself to one particular technique, Otto’s composition is unique and different from the rest. For instance, if one track pumps up the listener, the next one is bound to incite a different set of emotions and feelings altogether.

Of course, this uniqueness is highly dependent on the artist’s talent – something that Otto Kash doesn’t lack. Otto can deliver his lyrics with wide-ranging beats and pace, resulting in interesting and catchy compositions. His lyrical content is also quite meaningful and intense. It is delivered clearly and concisely, the reason why the listeners are immediately roped into listening to Ottos’ music.

Otto Kash has only started rapping quite recently; his latest release appears to be quite a feat considering his newness. The performer plans on making his music mainstream, and becoming the hottest artist is one of his dreams. Otto Kash also owns a label by the name Cash; entrepreneurial-minded, Otto has big plans for the label too.

The artist’s music is not child-friendly. With its target audience adults only, listeners will find themselves hooked to Otto’s music due to the strong emotions displayed and its relatability. This factor aside, his musical genius and knack for seamlessly blending varying rap styles also make it a playlist favorite.

Pop Smoke’s Brother Warned Late Rapper About The Gang Life

Pop Smoke’s brother Obasi said he attempted to keep the rapper away from gang activity before His tragic death in February of 2020.

Rapper Pop Smoke was warned about the perils of being in a gang long before he became a celebrated Hip-Hop star.

Pop Smoke was killed on February 19th, 2020 after he was targeted by a 15-year-old gunman and several of his associates, at an Airbnb in The Hidden Hills area of Los Angeles.

The young thieves were apparently after Pop Smoke’s Rolex, according to testimony recently given by a detective earlier this week during a hearing for a 20-year-old suspect charged in the case.

His brother, Obasi Jackson, took to social media to talk about trying to discourage him from joining the notorious Crips gang.

He captioned, “On God we gon figure this out @realpopsmoke I tried to warn you about this gang s###… I should’ve tried harder. It’s not fair how they doing you and I’m not allowing people to say they love you without proper recognition to you or the family!!! #period.”

In an image he continued (printed as posted), “Something not right about this case! The info not matching and ppl moving crazy. Bashar on God we getting to the bottom of it I’m sorry da real wasn’t with you. I’m sorry you said n##### would shoot back and they didn’t. I’m sorry you thought n##### would fight for you and theyre not even doing that in death.

“It seems you were more valuable alive Everybody gets mad when I speak up cause it threatens there position in this gang s###. Since you been away pop, people’s love have been M.I.A.”

This emotional outpour is a result of a preliminary hearing for Corey Walker, a suspect in the “Enter the Woo” rapper’s murder case.

As AllHipHop.com reported, the invaders climbed through his window, shot the then 20-year-old, and repeatedly kicked him as he lay dying on that fateful night.

Obasi and Pop Smoke (whose real name is Bashar) both grew up with their parents, Greg and Audrey Jackson in Canarsie, Brooklyn.

Like big bro, as a kid and before his gang activity, Pop Smoke excelled in African and contemporary dance, singing, acting, and basketball.

Mac Miller’s Family Blasts Author Of Unauthorized Biography

Deceased rapper Mac Miller just can’t seem to rest in peace.

Miller, the Pittsburgh rapper who died in September 2018, is now the subject of an unauthorized tell-all entitled, “Most Dope: The Extraordinary Life of Mac Miller” available for pre-order and slated to be released soon.

However, his family and estate are stepping up to encourage his fans and supporters not to buy the biography.

On Friday, the family posted a denunciation of the book via
Instagram.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by @92tilinfinity

It reads, “It has come to the attention of the family and friends of Mac Miller that a new book called Most Dope: The Extraordinary Life of Mac Miller by Paul Cantor has recently been made available for pre-order.

“This book is not authorized or endorsed by Malcolm’s family and has been written by a writer who had no meaningful access to those that were closest to Malcolm—friends, family, and collaborators, etc.

“In fact, the writer of this book was made aware at the outset of the process of writing this book that the family and friends of Malcolm were uncomfortable with him authoring this biography,” the message continues.

“Yet he chose to proceed against our polite insistence that he not do disservice to Malcolm’s legacy through writing a book without legitimate primary sources.”

The estate has already sanctioned an official work called, “The Book of Mac: Remembering Mac Miller,” and it is written by someone that the family has given its blessing to.

Moreover, the Estate believes that the pre-order announcement was made to compete with or to confuse the public.

“We cannot help but feel the timing of it [Most Dope] being made available for pre-order is meant to capitalize on the interest in Donna-Claire Chesman’s recently-announced The Book of Mac with the expectation that people will confuse this book for Donna’s, which does have the support of the estate and includes extensive interviews with the people whom Malcolm held dear.”

Ultimately, the family doesn’t want the “Most Dope …” book to have any shine and has asked anyone “who wish to support Malcolm and his legacy” to “abstain from purchasing this new book.”

Tekashi69 May Have To Pay MILLIONS Over Assault Of Innocent People

Tekashi69 could end up shelling out millions to two people he victimized during a wave of violence he unleashed in New York City with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

The rapper and five of his former associates robbed Seketha “Skyy L. Daniels” Wonzer and Kevin Dozier on April 3rd, 2018 during an attack in midtown Manhattan.

The pair were accosted at gunpoint in a case of mistaken identity. Tekashi69 and his crew thought Wonzer and Dozier were affiliated with J. Prince’s Rap-A-Lot Records label.

Wonzer and Dozier were simply heading up to meet with DJ Thoro when they were caught up in Tekashi69’s growing feud with Rap-a-Lot Records.

Tekashi69 wasn’t involved in the robbery, but he gleefully filmed the attack from a nearby SUV parked out on the street as convicted gangster Denard “Drama” Butler committed the felonious assault.

The gang members took jewelry, cash, cameras, and a hard drive with 12 years worth of footage.

Tekashi69 admitted to the robbery when he gave testimony against his former gang buddies during a blockbuster trial in October of 2019, which sent 12 Nine Trey members to prison with sentences ranging from 2 to 24 years.

Tekashi 69 Heading Back To Court Over Botched Rap-A-Lot Robbery

Now, the rapper could be forced to pay out millions of dollars to Wonzer and Dozier, according to their lawyer Matthew G. DeOreo.

Matthew G. DeOreo says Tekashi69 and his legal counsel have blown off the lawsuit, even though they were formally served with the complaint on April 5th, 2021.

Tekashi69’s response was due on April 23rd, 2021, but he has not filed or served an answer or a response to the complaint.

The rapper and his team have gone radio silence regarding the legal action, and Wonzer, Dozier, and their lawyer believe they are entitled to a default judgment.

Matthew G. DeOreo wrote a pretrial letter to Judge John P. Cronan asking for permission to formally grant his clients a default judgment.
