A$AP Rocky Leaves Jury Guessing After Choosing Silence In Court

A$AP Rocky will not take the witness stand in his felony assault trial, a decision that could shape the final stages of the case against him.

On Tuesday (February 11) in a Los Angeles courtroom, the rapper confirmed that he is waiving his right to testify. After a discussion with his attorney, Rocky opted to sit out his own defense, foregoing the opportunity to speak directly to the jury.

“You have a right to get on the stand and give your side of the case,” the judge informed him. “It’s totally your decision to either get on the stand or waive your right to testify and not testify.”

Asked if he understood the stakes of his choice, Rocky responded, “I do, in fact.”

The decision comes as Rocky fights two felony charges related to an alleged 2021 incident involving former friend and A$AP Mob member A$AP Relli.

Prosecutors claim Rocky pulled out a handgun and fired in Relli’s direction during a heated altercation, a charge the rapper has firmly denied. If convicted, he could face up to 24 years in prison.

Rocky’s choice to remain silent follows unexpected testimony from his tour manager, Lou “A$AP Lou” Levin. Levin told the court the Harlem-born artist carried around a fake gun for protection after a stalker gained entry into his home.

While the testimony aimed to cast doubt on the prosecution’s claims, the defense may have seen greater risks than rewards in putting Rocky on the stand.

Former Def Jam CEO Lyor Cohen Slams Kanye West’s “Offensive & Triggering” Twitter Tirade

Former Def Jam Recordings CEO Lyor Cohen has penned an open letter to his former artist Kanye West, who has once again been at the center of controversy. Following a deluge of antisemitic, sexist and other hateful tweets, Cohen felt moved to address West directly.

“I am deeply disappointed and troubled by your recent actions involving the use of Nazi symbols and antisemitic rhetoric,” Cohen began. “Your words and actions are not only offensive but triggering to all decent people who recognize the horrors of the Holocaust and the suffering of millions.

“With antisemitism on the rise, your voice and influence carry a significant responsibility. I urge you to be more sensitive to the pain your words inflict on Jewish communities and all those who stand against hate.”

Cohen went on to reflect on the impact West could have if he redirected his energy toward something more positive.

“Your talent and reach could be used to heal and inspire, to bridge divides and promote understanding. Instead, you’ve chosen a path that sows discord and perpetuates harmful stereotypes,” he continued. “The Jewish and Black experiences share a rich history of collaboration and mutual support, particularly in the music industry. From the early days of jazz and blues to the groundbreaking work of Motown and beyond, our communities have enriched each other through music and culture.”

He concluded with a call-to-action, saying, “I urge you to reflect on this shared legacy and use your platform to build upon the love and understanding that have always existed between our communities.”

Kanye West was signed to Def Jam Recordings in 2002. He initially joined the label as a producer, and by 2004, Def Jam signed him as a solo artist. His debut album, The College Dropout, was released under Def Jam in February 2004, marking the start of his career as a solo artist under the label. Kanye remained with Def Jam for several years, releasing albums like Late Registration (2005), Graduation (2007), 808s & Heartbreak (2008) and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010).

Over the years, West has spiraled into someone his most ardent, day-one fans barely recognize. His latest antisemitic outburst is starting to suffer real consequences—from his talent agency dropping him to his Yeezy website and Twitter (X) account being deactivated.

Diddy Fights Back: Files $100M Defamation Lawsuit Against NBCUniversal Over “Bad Boy” Documentary

Sean “Diddy” Combs is fighting back against his legal woes with an explosive $100 million defamation lawsuit against NBCUniversal Media, LLC, Peacock TV, LLC, and Ample LLC over allegations made in the documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday (February 11), the Hip-Hop mogul’s legal team alleged the defendants “made a conscious decision to line their own pockets at the expense of truth, decency, and basic standards of professional journalism.”

In a statement, Diddy’s attorney, Erica Wolff said:

“As described in today’s lawsuit, NBCUniversal Media, LLC, Peacock TV, LLC, and Ample LLC made a conscious decision to line their own pockets at the expense of truth, decency, and basic standards of professional journalism. Grossly exploiting the trust of their audience and racing to outdo their competition for the most salacious Diddy exposé, Defendants maliciously and recklessly broadcast outrageous lies in Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.”

The lawsuit highlights specific defamatory claims made in the documentary, including allegations that Diddy was involved in the deaths of Kimberly Porter, Christopher Wallace (The Notorious B.I.G.), Andre Harrell, Dwight Arrington Myers (Heavy D), and an attempted murder of Al B. Sure.

The complaint references claims by Al B. Sure that Porter was murdered to prevent her from revealing damaging information about Diddy and statements suggesting Diddy engaged in sex trafficking and sexual relationships with underage girls.

Diddy’s attorneys also highlight testimonies from unreliable sources such as conspiracy theorist Jaguar Wright and attorney Ariel Mitchell, who has a history of making unsubstantiated claims.

The lawsuit asserts that these accusations have caused severe reputational and economic harm to Diddy. It further alleges that the defendants acted with reckless disregard for the truth by relying on discredited sources and failing to verify their claims.

Diddy seeks to hold NBCUniversal and its partners accountable for what he describes as “malicious lies” aimed at capitalizing on public interest in the scandal.

Representatives for NBCUniversal have not yet commented on the lawsuit.

EXCLUSIVE: Russell Simmons’ Move To Indonesia Just Saved Him In Court

Russell Simmons has proved that living in Indonesia has its benefits—and it’s not just about yoga and beachfront villas.

A federal judge dismissed a sexual assault lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe against the Hip-Hop mogul, ruling that Simmons is a “stateless” American citizen, making it impossible for the court to claim jurisdiction over him.

Jane Doe, a former Def Jam executive, had filed the lawsuit alleging that Simmons sexually assaulted her in the 1990s while she worked at the label. Doe’s lawsuit claimed that Simmons raped her in his Manhattan apartment after luring her there under the guise of reviewing a music video.

The suit was part of a larger wave of litigation enabled by New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which briefly lifted the statute of limitations for adult survivors of sexual abuse.

However, Simmons’ legal team argued that the lawsuit should be dismissed because he has lived in Indonesia since 2018.

Judge John G. Koeltl sided with Simmons, ruling that the plaintiff failed to prove that he was domiciled in New York at the time of the complaint. The dismissal boiled down to a jurisdictional technicality.

Since Simmons no longer claims residence in any U.S. state and has been living in Indonesia under a permanent retirement visa since 2021, the judge ruled that he falls outside the court’s jurisdiction.

The judge noted that Simmons sold his New York apartment in 2021, has lived in multiple residences in Indonesia and possesses an Indonesian driver’s license.

The court was not persuaded by Jane Doe’s argument that Simmons’ social media posts, business ties and occasional visits to New York meant he was still legally domiciled in the U.S.

“The plaintiff primarily relies upon the defendant’s media statements and social media posts, [Simmons’] intermittent trips to New York, [Simmons’] payment of rent in New York for his daughter’s apartment, and his business connections and bank account in New York to show domicile. However, social media posts and intermittent visits to New York do not establish a domicile. The [Simmons] has provided clear and convincing evidence that he was domiciled in Indonesia when the complaint was filed.”

During his deposition, Simmons reinforced his position, stating unequivocally: “I don’t live in America. America’s not my home.”

Russell Simmons has denied over a dozen claims of sexual assault and has insisted that any past encounters were consensual.

However, his legal problems are not over. The Def Jam founder is accused of not paying six women out of settlement monies related to sexual assault allegations, totaling almost $9 million.

Bhad Bhabie Challenges Alabama Barker To Fight, Drags Travis Barker Into Drama

Bhad Bhabie is ramping up her beef with Alabama Barker, dragging her father Travis into the mix and challenging the 19-year-old to a fight.

The spat began last year when the “Gucci Flip Flops” hitmaker accused the teen of trying to steal her boyfriend and child’s father, Le Vaughn.

The two have exchanged jabs and insults online over the past few months. Now Bhad Bhabie is demanding a violent showdown to settle the score after accusing Alabama Barker of mentioning her daughter.

She called out Alabama in a heated rant on her Instagram Story late Tuesday night (February 12).

“Keep talking about my kid!” she began. “[Calabasas] commons tomorrow 8pm see you there bama!! Come since you so tough it’s gone b free you right?”

Bhabie then turned her attention to her nemesis’ rock star father.

“Your literally named after a h#####,” she added. “I see you living up to daddy standards!!!”

Bhad Bhabie also walked back her claims that Le Vaughn and Alabama were never intimate before firing another shot at Travis Barker.

“U have no morals you f##### your close friend baby daddy twice!” she added. “Lord only knows how many times you sucked dick. Dirty ass hoe this why no one take you seriously. The whole industry knows about you and I’m gonna make sure the whole Internet does too. Even daddy know he raised a hoe.”

Bhad Bhabie repeated her claims that Alabama slept with Le Vaughn on two separate occasions while firing back at fans urging her to quit vaping while battling cancer.

Despite Bhad Bhabie’s allegations, Alabama Barker previously denied trying to steal her friend’s man. She also accused Le Vaughn of assaulting her with a bottle during a trip to Las Vegas.

“I have no interest in this man,” she wrote on her Instagram Story last December. “Nor would I ever lower myself to be with someone who has been physically abusive towards women.”

Tiffany Haddish Hits The Runway After Crashing Monse’s Last Show

Tiffany Haddish strutted onto the runway at New York Fashion Week with confidence, marking a high-fashion milestone just months after turning the spotlight on herself with an impromptu catwalk moment.

The “Girls Trip” actress officially hit the Monse Fall/Winter 2025 runway Sunday in an all-black ensemble, embracing the bold aesthetics of the New York-based luxury label.

But while she commanded the stage in style, there’s one fashion staple she’d rather leave behind—corsets.

“I hate wearing corsets, but they do make you look nice,” Haddish said in an interview with InStyle backstage. “But I hate the lines it leaves in your flesh. So that’s a ick for me. I don’t wanna take it off and still look like I’m wearing the corset.”

The 45-year-old comedic star made her presence felt at the Monse show, serving up both glamour and humor while getting her hair and makeup perfected behind the scenes.

When asked for a beauty tip she swears by, Haddish kept it practical: “Wash your body… (the) first part of beauty is good hygiene, okay?”

Haddish’s runway debut came just months after she turned heads at Monse’s previous event in September 2024—this time, not by invitation, but on a dare.

Seated front-row in a green suit, she was egged on by socialites Kathy Hilton and her daughters, Paris and Nicky Hilton, to take an unscripted stroll down the catwalk.

The move sparked online debate, with some criticizing the impromptu walk, but Monse’s creative directors, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim, publicly defended Haddish and Hilton.

“At Monse, Tiffany Haddish and Kathy Hilton are family, and the best sign of love and support is showing that we all were having fun by joining in on the show,” Garcia said at the time. “We are very lucky to have friends like them, and hope they open and close our show next season.”

Joe Budden Goes Nuclear On Drake In Explosive Rant: “Go Get Your Lick Back!”

Joe Budden unleashed on Drake, slamming the Toronto rap star for mocking him from his “plottttwistttttt” Instagram page.

On Tuesday (February 11) the page, which Drake uses as a dumping ground of sorts, shared an unflattering video of Joe Budden dragging on a cigarette,

The caption both poked fun at Budden while hyping Drake’s upcoming PartyNextDoor collab album: “$$$HITTING MEEEEEE.”

The retired rapper caught wind of the jab and fired back at Drake in a nuclear rant on the latest episode of the “Joe Budden Podcast.”

The former Slaughterhouse MC ripped into his longtime rival, claiming Kendrick Lamar ended his career. He also urged him to retaliate against K. Dot and everyone else who dissed him over the past 12 months.

“Drake, don’t shoot back at me now that you ice cold,” Budden began. “I’m not doing a back-and-forth with a corpse. I wanted to do it when you was lit, it was fun. Don’t go get shot all through the year and then pop up like Bernie at Weekend At Bernie’s wanting to shoot at me now. No, n####. Go spin! Spin the f###### block.”

After questioning if Drake is “crazy,” Joe Budden continued.

“99 n##### done jumped on your ass,” he yelled. “You out smoking hookah in turquoise boots. Don’t post me! Go get your f###### lick back. F###### b####.”

Nonetheless, illustrating their love-hate relationship, Budden insisted, “I still like him. I’m buying that album Friday.”

Although Joe Budden refused to trade jabs with Drake, several big brands have poked fun at his expense.

Education app Duolingo killed off their owl mascot, blaming Drizzy for the death. Meanwhile, Apple Music taunted him with lyrics from K. Dot’s “Not Like Us” after the Super Bowl.

Deiondra Sanders Drags Dej Loaf & Jacquees’ Mom As Spat Gets Messy

Deiondra Sanders is continuing to vent online about her fiancé Jacquees, who she accused of faking a relationship with longtime collaborator Dej Loaf.

Earlier this week, Deiondra, the daughter of Hall of Fame football player and Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, claimed she was being sidelined while Jacquees and his musical partner “fake” a romance to promote their upcoming album in a heated social media rant.

Dej Loaf seemingly responded, sharing an Instagram carousel captioned “Doing Press> Being Pressed.”

On Tuesday (February 11), Deiondra hopped in the comments, firing back at Dej Loaf, accusing her of lusting after Jacquees despite him being taken.

“Being pressed is telling his momma Ms. Rosie how you still want him,” she began. “Telling his momma u wish it was you. You and yo momma mad cause he proposed to me. You waited to see what que would do before u came out with yo girlfriend. Waiting around year after year and never choose. Dej keep it cute before I air all yo s### out!!!”

Deiondra Sanders Accuses Jacquees’ Mom Off Robbing Son

Deiondra then switched her target to Jacquees’ mom, who wrote “dummy” on a clip from a blog discussing the recent drama. Taking the gloves off, Deiondra accused her of stealing from her famous son.

“Ms Rosie better stop playing with me,” Deiondra warned. “Nobody off limits now. Now go be with yo husband and keep stealing and hiding yo son money.”

She continued to vent on X (Twitter) before apologizing for airing out her drama.

“I may talk a-lot and spaz but one thing they won’t say is imma liar. Everything I say be the truth,” she declared. “Now i’m done for real. I can’t keep embarrassing my family like this. Sorry yall. Back to the regular program. We have a surprise for you all today.”

Despite the mounting tension, Jacquees and Deiondra Sanders then shared the first photos of their baby son, Snow.

USHER Provides Unfiltered Opinion On Keke Palmer Viral Incident

USHER has broken his silence on the viral incident that occurred when Keke Palmer attended one of his concerts in 2023.

On Tuesday (February 11), USHER appeared in the latest episode of the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast to discuss several topics during the near hour-long episode. One of the juiciest conversations of the interview came as they engaged in an exchange about the moment the actress was thrown into a scandal after USHER serenaded her during his 2023 Las Vegas residency—prompting her boyfriend at the time, Darius Jackson, to criticize the mother of his newborn child for her attire that night.

In his initial remarks on the situation, USHER both pleaded the fifth while also making it clear that he didn’t intend to cause a raucous, even though he did.

“I cannot be responsible for how people choose to react to my experience as an entertainer,” USHER said, setting the record straight. He continued, “I am NOT deliberately trying to do anything that’s going to rock anybody’s home,” to which Keke Palmer playfully responded, “This is what you call ushering.”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

Despite the drama, USHER explained why he took it upon himself to later team up with Palmer for the music video for his song “Boyfriend” that believes flipped the narrative.

“I think you and I both can share the sentiment of the moment,” he said when asked by Palmer why he recruited her for the video. “Because I know it was a hot moment for you. And I was like, ‘You know what? When life feeds you lemons, you make lemonade.”

He continued, explaining that he saw an opportunity to bring some lighthearted fun to the situation rather than fueling the controversy.

“Let’s do something that just takes their mind off of it and just have a good time,” he said. “Don’t focus on the drama. By the way, if you just focus on the drama, then you’re going to always respond to it only.”

He concluded, “Now, again, I don’t want to take any responsibility for breaking anybody’s home, but that wasn’t the purpose and point. It was for you to have a good time with your girls. Come out there and just enjoy.”

Last October, Palmer opened up about the fallout of the viral incident, revealing that the moment at the concert ultimately led her to file a restraining order against Jackson.

“I get that people feel like celebrities all know each other, or they’re thinking in their mind that,” Keke Palmer said in part. “I mean, ultimately I was doing what I do as an entertainer, as I was creating a fun moment.

“That’s what he [USHER] does with every entertainer that comes to his show. How it became a genuine storyline of that me and USHER in love, or me and USHER have something going on, I don’t know how it got there, but usually, as we all know, things are never really what they seem.”

Coi Leray Announces New EP With Cryptic Title After Signing Epic Records Deal

Less than a year after Coi Leray vented on social media and vowed not to release new music, she has inked herself a new deal and is gearing up to drop a new project.

On Tuesday (February 11), a report from The Hollywood Reporter (THR) revealed Coi Leray has officially found a new home at Epic Records, marking a fresh chapter in her career. She will also undergo another change as she will now be represented by her new management under Cory Litwin at Range Media Partners.

With her new label deal in place, Leray is gearing up to drop her next EP, What Happened to Forever, on Wednesday (February 12). Given the news of her split with her boyfriend and father of her child, Trippie Redd, the title of the EP exudes somewhat of a cryptic aura.

Prior to signing with Epic, Leray released music under Republic Records and Island Records, both subsidiaries of Universal Music Group. In a statement she shared with THR, Leray described her new situation with Epic Records as something that all artists long for.

“Epic is one of those labels who understands me as an artist and as a person, and I’m super appreciative of that,” Leray told The Hollywood Reporter. “They support me rather than try to tell me what to do, and that’s all an artist can ask for when it comes to signing with a major label.”

Leray’s latest deal signals a major career reset following the contractual struggles she faced in 2025. Last October, she vented on Instagram about an ongoing dispute with a now-defunct record label, 1801, and a figure she identified as Billy J. The Players hitmaker claimed Billy J was the only individual preventing her from moving forward with her career, despite other former label affiliates being willing to part ways.

“I’ve been silent for so long,” she wrote at the time. “Y’all don’t understand how depressed this s### has me and I’m beyond tired of fighting!”

Leray alleged she had signed the “worst” production deal at 21, blaming a lawyer tied to 1801 for withholding key details about the contract. She even threatened to halt music releases until she was fully freed from the arrangement.

“There’s nothing in this life I want more than this guy right here to leave me alone,” she said. “He has NOTHING for my career and has been trying to take from me for the past five years.”

Kanye West Talent Manager Gives Rapper The Boot As Re-Built Empire Starts To Crumble

Kanye West lost a major professional ally after his talent agent severed ties over the rapper’s unabashed antisemitic rhetoric.

The 47-year-old artist ignited global backlash when he took to social media over the weekend to praise Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, only to escalate the controversy further by selling a T-shirt emblazoned with a s####### on his Yeezy brand’s website.

Tour manager Daniel McCartney swiftly distanced himself from West, condemning the Hip-Hop mogul’s actions in a statement shared on Instagram Stories.

“Effective immediately, I am no longer representing Ye (F/K/A Kanye West) due to his recent harmful and hateful remarks that myself nor (talent agency) 33 & West can stand for. Peace and love to all,” McCartney wrote.

By Tuesday, West’s decision to sell a hate symbol as “art” resulted in another major blow to his empire. Shopify, the e-commerce giant hosting his Yeezy site, pulled the plug on the online store, citing the violation of its sales policies.

The abrupt closure left one of West’s primary business channels inoperable. Legal troubles also mounted as a former Yeezy employee filed suit against West, alleging antisemitic harassment.

An ex-marketing specialist, who opted to remain anonymous, submitted a complaint in a California superior court accusing the rapper of religious and gender discrimination.

The rapper sent her a welcome message on her first day of working for him that read: “Welcome to the first day of working for Hitler.” He also called the girl “Ugly as F###,” and a “P############.”

Attorney Carney Shegerian did not mince words in a statement, stating, “Ye waged a relentless and deliberate campaign of antisemitism and misogyny against my client. His appalling treatment of women and fixation on Nazism, evident in abusive texts where he repeatedly calls himself Hitler, expose his motives.”

Screenshots of the alleged texts have since surfaced across social media, turning more supporters against the troubled rap star/fashion designer.

EXCLUSIVE: Diddy Ordered To Court To Face New Allegations In RICO Case

Diddy’s past is catching up to him faster than he can handle—new charges, witnesses and a judge who isn’t waiting.

The embattled music mogul has been ordered to appear in court on March 14, 2025, for arraignment on new allegations in a superseding indictment tied to his ongoing federal RICO case.

The hearing, initially set for March 17, has been moved up three days by United States District Judge Arun Subramanian.

Federal prosecutors have expanded the case against Diddy, piling on fresh allegations that further detail his alleged role in a vast criminal enterprise.

The superseding indictment reportedly outlines additional acts of sex trafficking, arson, prostitution facilitation conspiracy and racketeering, adding even more weight to a case that already has him locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Diddy’s legal team fought to secure his release by offering a $50 million bail package, which included 24-hour armed security and a pre-approved visitor list.

But multiple judges shut the idea down, citing concerns over witness tampering and community safety.

Sources close to the investigation claim the government has over 50 witnesses, flight records, surveillance footage and additional corroborating evidence supporting the new charges.

Diddy’s legal team isn’t just fighting the charges—they’re going to war over how the case is handled.

His attorneys are pushing back hard against federal prosecutors, calling the case against him sexist and puritanical” while insisting that any sexual encounters in question were entirely consensual.

They argue that the so-called evidence—including video footage prosecutors have cited—doesn’t show anything criminal.

Instead, they claim the videos show adults engaging in consensual acts with no signs of violence, coercion, threats, or manipulation.

Furious Isla Fisher Urges Followers To Dump Kanye West For Good

Actress Isla Fisher publicly denounced Kanye West, urging her social media followers to stop supporting him after he posted antisemitic content and began selling a T-shirt featuring a s#######.

The “Wedding Crashers” star took to Instagram today (February 11), condemning Kanye West, also known as Ye, for his offensive statements and actions.

She shared a screenshot of West’s only available merchandise—a plain white T-shirt emblazoned with the Nazi symbol—and pleaded with her followers to stop engaging with him online.

“Hey friends, can you please unfollow Kanye?” Fisher wrote alongside the image. “Did you know this is the only thing for sale on his website after placing a Super Bowl commercial?”

In a blunt conclusion, the Australian actress added, “F### this monster forever. No tolerance for this s###.”

West’s latest controversy erupted over the weekend when he flooded social media with antisemitic and racist rhetoric, causing widespread backlash.

His spree of posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, included messages in which he referred to himself as a Nazi and declared his admiration for Adolf Hitler.

Kanye West described the s####### T-shirt as his “greatest performance art piece thus far.”

During the Super Bowl on Sunday (February 9), Kanye West released an unconventional advertisement shot on his iPhone, directing viewers to visit his Yeezy website.

When users arrived, they found that all previous inventory had been removed, with only the s#######-emblazoned shirt available for purchase. Shopify has confirmed they have canceled his account.

Fisher wasn’t the only public figure speaking out.

Singer Charlie Puth also took to Instagram with a desperate plea for the “Flashing Lights” artist to stop spreading dangerous rhetoric, writing, “@ye The message you are sending out to the world is incredibly dangerous. Please man, I beg you to stop. You are selling a T-shirt with a s####### on it, and MILLIONS of people are influenced by you. Please I BEG you to stop, PLEASE.”

Additionally, “Friends” actor David Schwimmer directed his frustration at Elon Musk, calling for the tech mogul to intervene and remove West’s account from X, citing the real-world consequences of allowing his hate speech to spread.

“His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews,” Schwimmer wrote.

As outrage spread, X deactivated the rapper’s account, though it remains unclear whether the suspension is temporary or permanent.

West’s controversial behavior has cost him lucrative deals in the past. In 2022, Adidas severed ties with him after similar antisemitic remarks, ending a billion-dollar collaboration.

His latest behavior has again reignited calls for brands and platforms to disassociate entirely from him.

Cam’ron Wasn’t Reason Why Juelz Santana & Lil Wayne’s Mixtape Never Dropped

Cam’ron is attempting to clear up, once and for all, the rumors circulation about his role in the saga of Juelz Santana and Lil Wayne’s mixtape that never was.

While many have pointed fingers at Cam’ron, claiming he blocked I Can’t Feel My Face from being released, the Dipset luminary is now setting the record straight and has revealed a contract dispute was at the source of the failed project. Speaking on the topic during the recent episode of his show It Is What It Is, Cam’ron addressed the long-standing rumor and his role within it head-on.

“There was a time Juelz was supposed to put out a project with Lil Wayne and it didn’t happen,” Cam’ron said. “And they was like, ‘Cam don’t want the project to come out. Cam don’t want the project to come out.’ And that’s not what happened.”

According to Cam, the issue came down to business politics, considering that Lil Wayne wasn’t the “superstar” we know him as today and was realistically just entering the beginning stages of his career.

“Lil Wayne, and mind you, Lil Wayne wasn’t the super superstar yet,” he explained. “He was a star, but remember, Lil Wayne emerged into a superstar after Tha Carter I, Tha Carter II and Tha Carter III and ‘Amilli’ and all that s###.”

As Cam continued, he broke down the label conflicts that ultimately killed the project. More specifically, he pointed to Universal Music Group (UMG) playing hardball as the end-all-be-all in the situation at that time.

“Def Jam is under Universal, which Lil Wayne was signed to,” he explained. “So when they wanted to put this project out, Universal told Def Jam, ‘Well, Lil Wayne still didn’t give us his album yet. So if y’all want to put this project out, we’re taking 95% and Def Jam, y’all can take 5%.’”

With UMG drawing a proverbial line in the sand with the lopsided revenue split, the likelihood of the project being financially profitable was impossible, given the meager split percentage margins.

“We had a joint venture deal with Def Jam,” he continued. “So if that project came out, that means Def Jam would get 2.5 percent of the album, and me and Juelz would get 2.5 percent of the album. And they said, ‘Cam, we love you and all that, but we’re not doing that. We can’t do it.’”

Despite his efforts to explain the situation, Cam said he became the scapegoat.

“N##### just gonna blame Cam,” he said. “I get the blame. ‘Yo, Cam is hating. Cam don’t want Juelz’s project to come out.’ And I’m like, all right, whatever. N*ggas don’t really understand the backstory.”

Ultimately, Cam argued that blocking the release never made sense for him.

“Why would I want to stop making money?” he questioned rhetorically. “My whole thing was to make Juelz a star, make Juelz rich. That was my goal. Why would I want to stop that? But it didn’t make financial sense.”

Cam’ron’s address on Juelz and Weezy’s mixtape-turned-urban-legend follows the “Clockwork” rapper’s recent statement about Cam and Jim Jones’ ongoing beef. Additionally, they follow Juelz’ claims that he’s readying a project with an A-list lineup amid the announcement of his accessories brand I Can’t Feel My Face.

“I got DaBaby on the album, Lil Wayne on the album,” Santana teased, going on to highlight that he has a “mean one with Wayne” that fans can expect to be a standout.

The Super Bowl’s Mascot Problem & America’s Identity Crisis

Another Super Bowl has come and gone, and while the game itself may have delivered thrills, it also reignited a painful, long-standing controversy.

The Kansas City Chiefs were trounced by the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. But it’s their continued use of Native American imagery and mascots in sports—not their historic loss—that’s problematic. For many, it’s another reminder that America remains stubbornly resistant to change.

I know this fight well. My mother, Lynette Lonewolf, and countless others—activists like Dick Gregory and Mark Thompson—have spent decades advocating against the racist depictions of Indigenous people in sports. The long overdue retirement of the Washington Commanders’ former name was a hard-won victory. Now, there are whispers of bringing that energy back for the Chiefs. They continue to perform on the national stage, complete with the offensive “tomahawk chop.” This is a ritual that reduces a people with a rich, complex cultural history to caricature.

I was at the Super Bowl in Phoenix last year, working behind the scenes to ensure Indigenous representation. For the first time La Morena, an Indigenous woman, was chosen to design an official NFL Super Bowl logo. The moment has largely gone unrecognized. I also helped secure Native-owned businesses, such as OXD Clothing, to be official merchandise vendors. These are small steps, but they are critical in a space that has historically erased Native people. Except as mascots or myths.

But representation, no matter how well-intended, cannot erase the discomfort of watching thousands of fans in face paint and feathered headdresses perform the tomahawk chop as the Chiefs take the field. Many Native performers, offered tickets to the game, declined. They could not, in good conscience, sit among fans who continue to dehumanize them. Imagine if fans donned Zulu headdresses or painted their faces in blackface. The outcry would be swift and justified. So why is this any different?

Native Americans are not relics of the past. We are still here. We are not mascots.

For me, this year’s Super Bowl was a deeply symbolic experience. Watching the Philadelphia Eagles win felt like a spiritual victory. The eagle holds profound significance in Indigenous culture. It represents vision, wisdom and protection. The U.S. government itself has recognized the eagle’s sacred role, enacting laws to protect them. So, to see the Eagles soar to victory was, in a way, a reminder that Native people, too, continue to rise.

And then there was Kendrick Lamar, a Black artist whose performance spoke volumes about racial identity and resistance. As someone of both Black and Native descent, his artistry hit home. His imagery, particularly his formation of a human flag, was a powerful statement about unity and struggle in a country that often seeks to divide.

The irony is that America has always been a blend of cultures. Nowhere is this more evident than in New Orleans, the site of this year’s Super Bowl. Louisiana is a melting pot, a living embodiment of the gumbo that defines its cuisine—Indigenous, African, Latin, Creole. Historically, enslaved Africans and Native Americans found community together, shaping traditions that persist today in the masking rituals of Black Indians.

This is America’s real identity. It’s not the narrow, exclusionary vision pushed by those who rage against diversity. The people who take issue with the blending of cultures, who resist change, are the ones who do not truly understand this country.

The fight against offensive mascots is not about erasing history. This is about correcting it. It’s about recognizing that Indigenous people are not novelties to be worn on jerseys. It’s about moving past an era where sports teams profit from outdated stereotypes while the very people they claim to “honor” continue to be marginalized.

This Super Bowl, like so many before it, was a reminder of the work still left to do. But it also served as a testament to the resilience of those who refuse to be erased. America is one big, flavorful pot of gumbo, and that rich mix of cultures is its greatest strength. It’s time we start acting like it.

Suge Knight Claims 2Pac Slapped Snoop Dogg Over Diddy & Biggie Smalls After 1996 MTV VMAs

Suge Knight has claimed that 2Pac and Snoop Dogg were involved in a physical altercation before the late “California Love” rapper passed away and it was apparently all because of a radio interview.

In a recent interview with The Art of Dialogue, the former Death Row Records CEO shared a harrowing anecdote about an alleged heated altercation between 2Pac and Snoop Dogg following the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards. According to Knight, tensions erupted after 2Pac heard a radio interview in which Snoop expressed a willingness to collaborate with Biggie and Diddy—Pac’s sworn rivals at the time.

“Now, fast forward, we back at the hotel, and you know, everybody got their rooms,” Suge Knight recalled. “I would have a special room that only Pac [2Pac] knew the number to. So I’m in there, I got my company, a few of those, you know, women in there, and I just hear ‘bam,’ at the door. Throw my boxers on, open the door, Pac just runs in my room. I’m like, man, what’s up? He’s like, ‘You got a radio?’ He all pumped up, he cut the radio on, and we listened to Snoop on the radio.”

According to Suge, Snoop’s comments sent Pac into a rage.

“Snoop is saying that’s Pac on the bullsh*t,” he said. “He’d do a song with Biggie, he’d do a song with Puffy, he’d do all these songs. Pac was so mad because Pac loved those dudes. He always would ride for them. And he brung it up. He said, ‘Man, I just came to f*ck with you, but I put everybody on Death Row. I put everybody on my album. For this fool to go up there and get on the radio and say f*ck me, and he riding with them, it’s on.’”

Suge thought the situation might cool off, but the next morning, 2Pac took matters into his own hands.

“When we got downstairs, Pac took off on Snoop,” he revealed. “Pac ran up on me, did what he did. Snoop ran this way, Pac running behind me. I stopped him.”

Realizing the situation was spiraling, Suge intervened. “We ain’t finna be doing all this in New York, making us all look like we some idiots,” he said. “I said, we’ll deal, we’ll have this conversation when we get to the house.”

This isn’t the first fight conspiracy theory story the deceased MC has been wrapped up in as of late.

In a recent interview for “The Untold,” a content series uncovering behind-the-scenes stories from the industry, comedian Tommy Too Smooth recounted an alleged altercation between the two legendary figures. The drama reportedly unfolded during a time when 2Pac was dating Kidada Jones, the daughter of late music legend Quincy Jones.

According to Tommy, the incident occurred when the couple attended an event where Michael Jackson was also present. The King of Pop, known for his close friendship with Quincy and his children, was reportedly disturbed by 2Pac’s treatment of Kidada that evening.

“2Pac comes out to party, disrespecting Kidada, like, ‘B#tch, shut up. Come the f#ck on. Shut the f#ck up and get in the car,’” Tommy Too Smooth recalled. “Mike stepped to him. ‘Yo, you can’t talk to her like that.’”

Duolingo Blames Drake For Killing Off Owl Mascot In Savage Troll

Drake can’t catch a break on social media in the wake of Kendrick Lamar’s record-breaking Super Bowl Halftime Show, with everyone from Duolingo to Apple Music ruthlessly mocking the Toronto rapper.

On Tuesday (February 11), the education app’s X (Twitter) account taunted the OVO founder, whose emblem is an owl, by posting an image of their own owl mascot reenacting a viral moment from Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Super Bowl performance.

Mimicking Lamar’s lyrics, the post was captioned, “SAY DRAKE.”

Doubling down on the Drake shade, Duolingo then announced the “death” of their owl mascot in a tongue-in-cheek follow-up post.

“It is with heavy hearts that we inform you that Duo, formally known as The Duolingo Owl, is dead,” the announcement reads. “Authorities are currently investigating his cause of death and we are cooperating fully.”

Duolingo referenced the owl’s “many enemies,” before implying Drake killed off the owl in the comment section, adding, “Authorities are looking into a Canadian rapper currently.”

It’s not even the first time Duolingo has poked fun at Drake since the Super Bowl. On Monday (February 10) the app tweeted a reference to K. Dot’s famous “A-MINORRRR” line.

Promoting its new music course, Duolingo wrote: “Learn A minor in our music course #SuperBowl.”

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Apple Music added to Drake’s misery. The official social media accounts shared a post featuring the lyrics “Not Like Us,” written repeatedly.

Kendrick Lamar smashed Super Bowl halftime show records, drawing in 133.5 million viewers.

Roc Nation confirmed the milestone, revealing, “We’ve broken the record again! The most watched Apple Music Halftime show EVER, with 133.5 Million viewers.”

Rest In Power Irv Gotti: Is A Family Battle Brewing Over $300M Inheritance?

First and foremost—Rest in peace to Irv Gotti, the visionary behind Murder Inc. Records. His contributions to Hip-Hop were monumental, shaping the gritty AND commercial sound of the 90s and early 2000s. At a time when Diddy had Hip-Hop in shiny suits, Irv brought it back to the streets. He did it masterfully. DMX was his weapon, Ja Rule was his ace and Ashanti was the R&B princess. His production, ear for talent and his ability to move in business and music solidified his place in Hip-Hop history.

Irv Gotti, who struggled with diabetes, passed away at just 54 years old after first suffering a stroke in 2023 and a second one that ultimately claimed his life. It’s heartbreaking to see a Hip-Hop mogul taken so soon.

EXCLUSIVE: Irv Gotti Funeral Details Revealed

But before his passing, Irv made one final boss move. He sold his music catalog for $300 million. Now, that’s generational wealth. While some may argue that he should have kept the rights in the family, let’s be real: he secured his family’s future. That’s what’s up.

How will this pan out?

Now, here’s where things get a little complicated. Irv reportedly (rumored-to-be) left control of his estate to his eldest daughter. Generally, the oldest is often seen as the leader. But let’s not pretend we don’t know how these things tend to go down. Whenever big money is involved, families get to fighting. Mine sure did.

According to sources, tensions may already be brewing. The question isn’t just about who got the money. This seems to be about who’s in control. And let’s be honest, $300 million is the kind of money that can sow some real seeds.

Personally, I’ve seen this happen in families at all levels. Even a couple of thousand dollars can split folks apart. But at the end of the day, Irv made his choice. He seemed to believe his eldest daughter was the best person to handle his legacy, and at this point, the rest of the family may have no choice but to follow her lead.

How will the “Gotti Empire” thrive here on? Time will tell.

One thing is for sure, though: Irv Gotti left his mark on Hip-Hop forever.

Rest in power, Irv. Your legacy lives on.
