Beanie Sigel Explains Why He Won’t Believe Allegations JAY-Z Faces Linking Him To Diddy

Beanie Sigel is making it known that he doesn’t believe any detail of the allegations JAY-Z faces, which also link him to incarcerated Bad Boy mogul Diddy.

He stepped forward with his skepticism in defense of JAY-Z following reports he has been named as a co-defendant alongside Diddy in a Jane Doe civil case accusing the pair of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 2000. Sigel not only vigorously pushed back against the anonymous allegations accusing the legendary New York rapper of sexual assault, he outright denied them. Speaking with The Art of Dialogue, Sigel outlined why his skepticism about the claims lie in a larger ideology about both the accuser’s and the world’s motives.

“I mean, you got people like me that don’t believe it,” Sigel said, addressing the allegations. “You got other people that believe anything. You got some people that want it to be true.”

While acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding the situation, Sigel made his stance clear, “I can’t, I don’t believe that sh*t.”

The former Roc-A-Fella artist also voiced frustration over the anonymity of the accuser, stating his thoughts that their unwillingness to come forward is a dead giveaway in and of itself “Who is this?” he questioned. “Who is she? She don’t have to reveal her identity? All right, then. Then you go right there.”

He stressed that JAY-Z has the right to face his accuser, bluntly questioning, “Where is this little b*tch? How? Jay got the right to face his accuser.”

Sigel also raised concerns about the circumstances described in the allegations, questioning how a young girl could have been present in such an environment. “13-year-old, what was she?” he said pondering the situation. “What a 13-year-old doing in one of them parties anyway? How’d she get there? Who was her mother and her father?”

He added, “Don’t nobody believe that sh*t—N*ggas want that sh*t to be true.”

Looking at the bigger picture, Sigel suggested the situation extends beyond JAY-Z, remarking, “Just from me paying attention, what’s going on is bigger than Jay.”

Sigel’s impassioned argument in support of JAY-Z outlines yet another important chapter in their rocky shared history. Back in 2009 Sigel dissed JAY-Z and Memphis Bleek and Roc-A-Fella in a diss song entitled “What You Talkin Bout (I Ain’t Your Average Cat).” The diss was so scathing, it prompted HOV to respond while he was making an appearance at a Canadian Press conference. In his statement about Sigel, he stressed his belief that he helped him out immensely during his early career.

“Beanie Sigel, to be honest and you can look it up, just to be honest…was driving two Bentleys. I don’t know how,” JAY-Z said. “Its impossible to drive two cars at the same time. With his momma in the sticks, selling 800,000. I don’t know what more you can do for somebody.”

However, in 2015 the pair appeared to make up at the Tidal X concert during which was highlighted by the Beanie Sigel and State Property reunion.

Nelly Fights Back: Rapper Accuses Ali Of Frivolous Lawsuit In St. Lunatics Battle

Nelly isn’t holding back in his legal fight with former St. Lunatics bandmate Ali Jones, taking a no-nonsense approach to a lawsuit Ali filed claiming co-ownership of some of Nelly’s biggest hits.

The rapper, whose legal name is Cornell Haynes Jr., has filed a motion for sanctions, alleging that Ali’s case is not only outdated but also riddled with legal errors.

Ali, who performed with Nelly in the early 2000s, sued in September 2024, claiming he was owed royalties and credit for tracks like “Country Grammar” and “Batter Up.”

But Nelly’s legal team argues that Ali’s claims are years too late.

They pointed to a key piece of evidence: a 2021 letter from Nelly’s attorneys expressly rejecting Ali’s ownership claims, triggering a three-year statute of limitations under copyright law. By filing in 2024, Nelly’s lawyers say, Ali has already missed his chance.

What’s more, Nelly’s team is calling foul on Ali’s amended complaint, which omits mention of the 2021 letter—an omission they describe as a deliberate attempt to dodge the law. “Plaintiff’s counsel and Plaintiff have engaged in sanctionable conduct by omitting the dates of the express repudiation,” Nelly’s attorneys wrote in court filings.

Ali’s case doesn’t stop at royalties; he also accuses Nelly of copyright infringement and unjust enrichment. But Nelly’s defense team says these claims are just as shaky. Legally, co-owners of a copyright—if Ali were considered one—cannot sue each other for infringement. As for the unjust enrichment claim, Nelly’s lawyers argue it’s preempted by federal copyright law, making it irrelevant in court.

To top it off, Nelly’s lawyers want the court to hit Ali and his legal team with sanctions, including paying Nelly’s legal fees. They called the lawsuit “objectively frivolous” and said it has caused unnecessary legal expenses for their client. “Even the barest factual investigation and legal research would have revealed that the claims were barred,” the motion states.

The latest courtroom showdown marks a bitter chapter in the once-close relationship between Nelly and Ali, who worked together as part of the St. Lunatics. Now, their battle isn’t over beats but legal filings, as Nelly pushes for the lawsuit to be dismissed and Ali’s team penalized for what he calls a baseless case.

Cops Almost Raided Busta Rhymes’s Listening Session—But Why?

Busta Rhymes is back with a brand-new project. I encourage everyone to check out his latest work of art. Earlier this week, the Dungeon Dragon held an exclusive listening session, and it was a who’s who of industry insiders, musicians, journalists and influencers in attendance. Interestingly, this event took place at Quad Studios in New York City, the same building where 2Pac was infamously shot.

But on this night, Quad was on the map for a completely different reason. Let’s break it down. Throughout the night, the vibe was all about the music. Busta was adamant that everyone give their full attention to the album. Repeatedly, he paused the music to ensure conversations stopped and ears tuned in. He made it clear: people were there to listen. A couple of his friends got it, too.

During the event, Busta Rhymes showed major love and respect to icons like Sway, Datwon Thomas and Grandmaster Caz. He also gave some shoutouts to members of his team.

Now, here’s where things took an unexpected turn. As the event was winding down and people began to leave, the cops showed up. Upstairs, the music was still playing and folks were enjoying the vibe. But outside? There was a scary police presence of roughly 20 officers. The way they showed up, you’d think something far more dramatic was happening. The protective team around Bus-A-Bus took action.

Downstairs, some bold women took it upon themselves to intercept the officers and prevent them from heading upstairs. I’m not even sure if Busta was aware of what was happening at the time, but these ladies were working hard to de-escalate the situation. Fortunately, one of them managed to reason with the officers, convincing them to stand down. It was a tense moment, but a potential disaster was averted.

As for why the cops were there? That part remains unclear, and I don’t want to spread misinformation. There are plenty of rumors floating around in the media, but I’ll leave the speculation to them. From what I gather, one officer may have gone upstairs, but it didn’t lead to anything significant.

Anyway, here’s a video showing the scene after everything settled down. Enjoy, and don’t forget to give Busta’s new album a spin.

Fans Drag Snoop Dogg & Rick Ross Over “Crypto Ball” In Honor Of Donald Trump

Snoop Dogg and Rick Ross are getting flamed on social media for performing at the Crypto Ball ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, despite previous negative remarks about him.

The event was organized by Bitcoin media company BTC Inc. and co-hosted by David Sacks, recently named “AI and Crypto Czar” by Trump, in honor of the incoming administration.

Rick Ross took to Instagram to dismiss rumors he was performing at Trump’s inauguration.

“I am in Washington D.C. right now but I’m not performing,” he said. “It’s a private vibe I’m doing with my brother Snoop Dogg. Me and Snoop Dogg, we here. It’s going down.”

Rozay also shared a video of Snoop Dogg stating, “They let a real Crip up in the Crypto ball.”

Snoop Dogg & Rick Ross’ Previous Criticism Of Donald Trump

While Snoop Dogg endorsed Hillary Clinton for the presidency in 2016, branding Black artists who performed at Trump’s inauguration “jigaboos” and “Uncle Toms,” his stance on the President-elect has changed in recent times.

A post shared by snoopdogg (@snoopdogg)

In January 2024, he expressed “nothing but love and respect” for Trump, praising him for pardoning Michael “Harry-O” Harris, co-founder of Death Row Records.

Meanwhile, Rick Ross rapped about the Trump presidency in 2017, saying, “I’m happy that Donald Trump became the president because we have to destroy it to elevate.”

Then in 2024, he criticized the narrative that Trump’s presidency put more money in people’s pockets, calling it “delusional.”

He elaborated during an interview later that year. We will start over after this,” he said. “I think that particular line, a lot of young brothers who haven’t really put a finger on how they feel about our new president, I think they needed to hear that line to get some form of understanding.”

Soulja Boy also took to the stage at the Crypto Ball, despite criticizing Kanye West in 2019 for supporting Donald Trump.

President Joe Biden Grants Clemency For Thousands Of Non-Violent Drug Offenders

President Joe Biden, who’s set to leave office next week as Donald Trump storms back into the White House, has announced the commutation of nearly 2,500 sentences for individuals convicted of non-violent drug offenses.

With Friday’s (January 17) move, Biden has granted more individual pardons and commutations than any previous president. In a statement, he emphasized that many of the recipients had been serving disproportionately long sentences, far harsher than what they would face under current laws and policies.

The clemency primarily addresses outdated sentencing enhancements and the widely criticized disparity between crack and powder cocaine penalties, reflecting an effort to correct historical injustices in federal drug sentencing.

The unprecedented wave of clemency marks a significant push by Biden’s administration to address systemic inequities in the criminal justice system. Advocates have long criticized the crack-powder cocaine sentencing disparity, which disproportionately impacted communities of color.

Zoë Towns, executive director of FWD.us, praised the move, highlighting how criminal justice reforms often overlook those already harmed by previous laws. Biden also drew attention in December 2024 for commuting the sentences of 37 federal death row inmates to life without parole and pardoning 39 individuals convicted of non-violent crimes.

Biden’s actions underscore a commitment to using executive power to rectify past injustices, even as his legacy on criminal justice remains shaped by his controversial 1994 crime bill.

Biden’s clemency efforts have not been without controversy. His decision to pardon his son, Hunter Biden, who pleaded guilty to tax violations and firearms-related charges, has drawn criticism from some quarters.

Trump, for one, said, “Does the pardon given by Joe To Hunter include the J-6 hostages, who have now been imprisoned for years? Such an abuse and miscarriage of Justice!”

Meanwhile, defense attorneys and civil rights organizations have intensified their advocacy for clemency in cases of excessive or unjust sentencing for non-violent offenses. Historically, presidents have issued clemency actions toward the end of their terms, and Trump has suggested he might do the same, including granting pardons to supporters involved in the January 6 Capitol riot.

Biden’s clemency decisions stand out as among the most significant in U.S. history, aiming to correct longstanding disparities in the justice system.

Nelly Destroyed Online For Trump Inauguration Gig—Snoop Dogg Catches A Stray

Nelly was a trending Twitter (X) topic on Friday night (January 17) after news spread he would perform at President-elect Donald Trump’s first Liberty Ball.

The event, which takes place on Monday (January 20), is one of three official inaugural balls scheduled for the evening, with Nelly sharing the stage with country singer Jason Aldean and The Village People.

Renowned for his 2002 hit “Hot in Herre,” Nelly has previously collaborated with country artists, making him a fitting addition to the event’s lineup. His inclusion reflects the inauguration’s “yeehaw” vibe.

Additional performers at the inauguration include former American Idol contestant Carrie Underwood, who will sing “America the Beautiful” at the swearing-in ceremony, Rascal Flatts and Aldean, who will perform at different inaugural balls.

But, as expected, a large majority of the Hip-Hop community isn’t celebrating Nelly’s inclusion.

Snoop Dogg, meanwhile, is getting dragged for agreeing to appear at a pre-inauguration event. According to The Root, the West Coast rapper will perform at the inaugural Crypto Ball hosted by Trump’s nominated “AI and Crypto Czar” David Sacks.

Snoop and Trump have known each other for years. In 2007, Trump praised Snoop’s music when he made an appearance on The Apprentice. In 2011, Snoop was all smiles with Trump when he appeared on a Comedy Central roast. But in 2017, following the release of the BADBADNOTGOOD video for “Lavender” in which Snoop pretends to shoot Trump in the head, Trump lashed out at Snoop and insinuated his music was trash.

Fast-forward t0 2022 and Snoop’s tone had completely changed. As he said at the time, “Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me,”  praising Trump for pardoning Death Row Records co-founder Michael ‘Harry-O’ Harris, who’d been serving time for drug-related offenses.

The inauguration ceremony has been moved indoors to the Capitol Rotunda due to an Arctic blast sweeping the country, with temperatures in Washington, D.C., expected to hover around the low 20s on inauguration day.

Some of the reactions to Nelly and Snoop Dogg’s performances are dragging singer Chrisette Michelle, who was essentially canceled for singing at Trump’s 2016 inauguration.

TikTok Ban Upheld By U.S. Supreme Court—Will Trump Save It?

With President-elect Donald Trump set to take office in a matter of days, TikTok could potentially be saved in the 11th hour— but not if the U.S. Supreme Court gets its way. On Friday (January 17), the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a ban on the Chinese-owned app, set to take effect on Sunday (January 19) unless its parent company, ByteDance, sells the app to an American firm—a move ByteDance has refused.

The ban stems from national security concerns over TikTok’s data collection practices and its ties to a foreign adversary. While the app may continue to function for existing users, ByteDance has suggested it might shut down the platform entirely in the U.S. The Court acknowledged TikTok’s significance to over 170 million Americans but emphasized Congress’s authority to address security risks.

The decision leaves the app’s fate uncertain, as President-elect Donald Trump will assume office on January 20.

In December 2024, Trump requested a delay in the law’s implementation to explore political solutions. Meanwhile, the Biden administration has stated it doesn’t intend to enforce the ban but argues that TikTok should operate under American ownership. The timing of the ban, coinciding with the presidential transition and a holiday weekend, has shifted responsibility to the incoming administration.

The Washington Post reports that Trump—who’s inauguration is set for Monday (January 20)— is considering an executive order to postpone the TikTok ban in the U.S. However, since the ban is scheduled to take effect on the same day, it’s uncertain whether the order would be issued in time. If implemented, the delay would give potential U.S. buyers more time to negotiate a possible acquisition of the app, a key objective for the U.S. government in addressing its concerns about the platform.

SIGNS: TikTok Star Faces Death Penalty For Allegedly Murdering His Therapist

This is crazy. A Louisiana man accused of killing a therapist was indicted by a grand jury on Thursday (January 16).

Terryon Thomas—also known as “Mr. Prada” on TikTok—faces charges of first-degree murder, obstruction of justice, aggravated criminal damage to property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He stands accused of murdering his therapist, 69-year-old William Abraham, in September 2024.

According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, Abraham’s body was discovered wrapped in a tarp along a highway on September 29. The following day, Thomas was allegedly seen driving Abraham’s car in Baton Rouge. Authorities issued an arrest warrant, and Thomas was later captured in Dallas, Texas, last October.

Thomas was initially charged with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. However, the murder charge has been elevated to first-degree due to the victim’s age.

The 20-year-old internet personality, born in Newellton, had amassed more than eight million followers on TikTok. He gained notoriety for his comedic skits and commentary on relationships, school life and Gen Z culture, but apparently there was more beneath the surface.

Evidence of a violent altercation, including significant blood traces, was found in Thomas’s apartment following the discovery of Abraham’s body. Thomas was apprehended in Dallas, Texas, after fleeing in Abraham’s vehicle. Per Louisiana law, he’s now eligible for the death penalty.

SIGNS: Trump Planning Sweeping Immigration Raids In Chicago

Everything is about to change, people. Word on the street is that Donald Trump is gearing up for an aggressive, sweeping immigration raid in Chicago. Rumors has it the raid will begin the day after his inauguration, Tuesday (January 2021). It will be one of the most significant domestic immigration enforcement actions we’ve seen in years—if it happens.

The operation reportedly involves between 100 and 200 ICE officers and will span an entire week. They consider Chi-Town a sanctuary city like other places. Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, said “[We are] going to start right here in Chicago.” They threatened the mayor with prosecution if there’s any interference.

This isn’t just about Chicago. Sources allege they will launch in other major cities like New York and Miami. Trump maintained a hard stance on immigration, staying he was going to bring “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.” Remember when they said they would not break up families? No, they plan to jail or ship out the whole unit. Immigrants have to be living in fear and uncertainty.

I’d like to think everybody recognizes this as damn government overreach. But I don’t think they do. What happens in Chicago is the first domino. There will be a lot of people falling. The problem is most people don’t think it can happen to them.

NFL Reportedly Requested Kendrick Lamar Refrain From Performing Drake Diss At SuperBowl

Kendrick Lamar fans who were dreaming forward to singing along to “Not Like Us” during the upcoming SuperBowl Halftime show may be in for a rude awakening.

Rumors are currently swirling that one of the big wigs at the NFL has called on the “Euphoria” lyricist to essentially hold back during his biggest live performance to date. Multiple sources have claimed that the league has requested that Kendrick shy away from performing his scathing Drake diss track—that notoriously likens the Canadian rapper to a pedophile.

As murmurs of the alleged “Not Like Us” SuperBowl embargo made its way down the grapevine and on to the social media timeline, plenty of users reacted by providing their 20 cents on the situation.

“Nahh Forreal tho if ‘Not Like Us’ gets removed from the Superbowl the crowd better be RAPPING THE WHOLE SONG for the Love of Culture and Hip hop & For Kendrick!” one Twitter user asserted in a tweet.

Another user speculated, “I wonder if this whole lawsuit was just to try and block Kendrick from performing ‘Not Like Us’ at the Superbowl. The user continued, “Imagine being such a sore loser you’re forever gonna look like a p*ssy a*s b*tch now.”

Another user concluded, “atp kendricks only song at the superbowl better be not like us played six times in a row.”

The reports of the NFL allegedly requesting “Not Like Us” be omitted from Kendrick’s setlist follow an uptick in the legal saga surrounding the diss track initiated by it’s target. After withdrawing his legal petition against Spotify and UMG on January 14, Drake’s legal counsel turned around and filed a lawsuit against UMG claiming they mounted a campaign to devalue his name and music by boosting Kendrick Lamar’s ”Not Like Us” diss track. In a response an official with UMG shared with Variety on January 15, not only does the label deny Drake’s claims have any validity, it also suggests he’s using the lawsuit to stop Lamar for doing what they’ve helped him do to other artists his entire career.

No matter the case, Kendrick’s performance of the song seemed all but confirmed, based on his surprise GNX album track “tv off” during which the Compton MC uttered a single cryptic bar seemingly loaded with his intentions for his halftime show set.

“Walk in New Orleans with the etiquette of L.A. yellin/MUSTAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRD,” Kendrick raps on the track.

SZA Appears To Mend Fences With Punch As She Scolds “Entitled” & “Disrespectful” Fans

It appears as though TDE’s top dawg SZA and the label’s president, Punch, have restored their relationship.

On Thursday (January 16), the “30 For 30” vocalist didn’t hold back while taking a moment to chastise her fans over their entitled and disrespectful behavior in a string of tweets.

Based on her message, it would seem as though the root of SZA’s frustrations with her fanbase lie in their rabid infatuation with the arrival of the additional songs she promised them would be added to her SOS Deluxe: LANA project.

Long story short, clamoring fans have led her to the conclusion that she’ll need to take a step back, and once again relinquish power to Punch.

“I used to think sharing snippets, personal info + music tea would build connection but it actually just made ppl entitled ungrateful and disrespectful,” SZA wrote. “It’s time to restore the boundary be blessed.”

SZA added in the same thread, “No more explanations / updates. No back n forth . All further questions hit punch. Thanks”

In yet another tweet, which Punch himself quoted with a peering eyeball emoji, SZA concluded, “Punch was right.”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

SZA’s latest rant follows a melodramatic social media tirade last December during which SZA addressed the split with Punch on social media following speculation fueled when he updated his bio to remove SZA. She also claimed Punch “stepped away abruptly,” making the album release “tricky.”

“To be clear, I love Punch deeply!” she wrote on Instagram. “NO ONE should be attacking him or being cruel on my behalf,” SZA wrote. “Sometimes people grow apart, and that’s okay. Nothing to celebrate. The end of an era. I wish him the best, whatever his choices may be.”

SZA’s latest Twitter activity wasn’t solely rooted in gripping, however. And another separate tweet she remarked on her appearance on Mac Miller’s experimental, posthumous album Ballonerism. In addition to celebrating her love for the late Pittsburgh lyricist, SZA also expressed her gratitude for crossing pass with Mac early on in her career.

“I love my friend I miss my friend,” she wrote. “Grateful he saw something in me before most and treated me w love from day 1 . Wish he could see how right ab everything he truly was . Please go stream Balloonerism RIGHT NOW.”

King Harris Drops Cinematic Visual for “Locked In”

King Harris, the Atlanta-bred rapper and son of T.I. and Tiny, has kicked off 2025 with a bang, unveiling the music video for his latest single, “Locked In.”

Directed by acclaimed visual mastermind Phillyflyboy, the video brings King’s gritty lyricism and undeniable charisma to life with cinematic flair.

The new release follows a whirlwind year for King, who welcomed his first child in late 2024. Since then, the young artist has been balancing fatherhood and his burgeoning rap career.

Shot against a backdrop of moody lighting and urban aesthetics, “Locked In” delivers raw emotion and a catchy hook that is already gaining traction among fans.

Phillyflyboy, known for his work with artists like Chris Brown and 2 Chainz, adds a polished yet edgy visual element to the project, showcasing King in a new light.

But King isn’t stopping there. With plans for a new EP dropping later this year, the rapper is keeping his foot on the gas.

In addition to his musical endeavors, King’s third annual “Wild Fest” is set to return to Atlanta in 2025.

The festival, a celebration of music, culture, and community, has become a highly anticipated event in the city, drawing fans and local talent alike.

Kid Cudi Wipes Instagram Amid Food-Eating Home Intruder & L.A. Wildfire Evacuation Saga

Kid Cudi’s Southern California residence became the scene of an unusual burglary this week amid the wildfire crisis when an intruder reportedly broke in and made himself at home before being apprehended.

On Thursday (January 16), a TMZ report on the incident revealed it occurred the day before and that the perpetrator was believed to be homeless. The man allegedly entered the “Tequila Shots” rapper’s house and spent time enjoying several of its amenities.

The intruder reportedly helped himself to food from Cudi’s kitchen, used the bathroom and even took a shower. The intruder’s activities were caught on the home’s security cameras, prompting authorities to be called. Police arrived at the scene to find the man shirtless in the kitchen. He was subsequently arrested and charged with felony burglary and theft of utilities.

This all went down several days after Cudi had announced he had evacuated the residence on January 8. In a heartfelt Instagram story he shared, Cudi confirmed that while he and his family were safe, he feared for all affected by the ongoing wildfire crisis.

“Hey guys had to evacuate my crib,” Cudi wrote in the story. “I’m safe with my loved ones. Dogs are safe. For all the folks who lost their homes people that are dealing with this. My heart hurts for you and I’m praying for all of us and I send ALL my love to you and yours. If you have to evacuate get out immediately don’t hesitate. Be safe LA. Love you guys.”

Cudi affectionately signed the letter off using his surname Scott. It also appears that sometime between when he shared the IG Story and when the intruder broke into his house that Cudi wipe his account clean. Prior to putting his IG on ice, Cudi announced he would be shutting down his Twitter account last December. He also instructed fans that his IG would be the landing page for all things related to his music and life updates as he was leaving Twitter.

However, in his farewell tweet he did express his desire to completely unplug from the social media experience due to the negativity he absorbs from it.

“Ok yall,” he started off in the lengthy tweet. “I think my time is done on twitter. If u wanna stay connected to me Ill have my ig, Ill keep yall updated thru my stories but I wont be posting much on there either. Just projects and things I got goin on will be posted by my team. Ive been thinkin, I see too much b####### on here and life is much cooler being disconnected. I think Ive been too accessible, now when u hear from me itll be through my art. I love yall, its been real. Goodbye. Scott.”

Method Man “Categorically Denies” Assaulting Daughter’s Ex At Staten Island Gym

Method Man (real name Clifford Smith) has denied recent allegations of assault. A report published by the New York Post on Thursday (January 16) claimed the Wu-Tang Clan legend punched a 28-year-old man seven times in the face at Crunch Fitness Gym on Staten Island.

But Method Man’s representative, Nicole Perna, refuted the claims, stating he’s not been involved in any such incident, saying in a statement, “Mr. Smith categorically denies the allegations as reported and has not been the subject of an arrest by any law enforcement agency.”

The New York Police Department also confirmed that no arrest report exists for the alleged incident. The Post article suggested the altercation involved Smith and Patrick Sokoya, an alleged ex-boyfriend of Method Man’s daughter, Cheyenne.

A post shared by Method Man (@methodmanofficial)

The Post claimed Sokoya filled a report with the NYPD, telling officials he experienced facial pain and dizziness following the incident but declined medical treatment at the scene. Despite these claims, no official action or evidence supports the accusations.

Although Method Man is renowned for both his rap career with Wu-Tang Clan and acting, he’s also committed to maintaining his physical fitness, so it’s not unusual to see him at a gym. His fitness routine focuses on strength training, cardiovascular conditioning and overall health. His daily routine isn’t as publicly detailed as some other celebrities, but he’s shared in interviews and on social media that weightlifting and boxing are central elements of his fitness regimen.

Method Man has been spotted working out at gyms numerous times, including Crunch Fitness, and has mentioned his preference for lifting heavy weights, emphasizing exercises that build muscle mass and enhance endurance. He incorporates martial arts and cardio exercises like boxing into his routine, which helps him stay agile and strong.

He also maintains a balanced diet and proper rest to complement his training efforts, helping him recover and stay at peak performance. Method Man’s commitment to fitness is part of his broader focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle as he juggles everything else. Apparently that doesn’t include beating people up.

6ix9ine Slaps LA Fitness With $1M Lawsuit Over Brutal 2023 Assault

6ix9ine (real name Daniel Hernandez) is suing LA Fitness for over $1 million, alleging negligence after a 2023 attack at a South Florida gym left him hospitalized. The lawsuit claims the gym failed to provide adequate security and that staff didn’t follow proper protocols, including failing to promptly call the police.

6ix9ine was reportedly assaulted by three men, identified in the suit as Latin Kings gang members, resulting in injuries to his jaw, ribs and back. He’s seeking compensation for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering and diminished quality of life.

He says due to the gym’s negligence, he was brutally beaten, assaulted and robbed, leading to bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability and humiliation. The three suspects were arrested following the attack: Rafael Medina, Octavious Medina and Anthony Maldondado.

6ix9ine later addressed the incident on Instagram, saying, “For 2 years I been walking around with no security. Not saying I promote that BUT now you see I really never hid from anything. If you ever crossed my path or ever came to my house (you girls know who you are) ya can tell the world ‘Danny drives his own cars and be solo.’”

“You know how many of you people seen me in real life by myself in gas stations, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.,” he continued to say, adding, “Anyway what happen here was nothing but cowardly. I’m not mad this happened. In the street there’s no rules so I cant say they were wrong.”

He added, “Obviously, it wasn’t fair but again the streets has no rules. Just imagine having nothing to do to with a situation and feel obligated to make it your business. (Very weird) I’m happy to be here still. And I want to say I love my fans. Thank you.”

6ix9ine’s legal troubles have been ongoing since he first emerged with “GUMMO” in 2018. Following his 2019 cooperation with federal authorities in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods case, he continued to face backlash and threats from various groups.

Last year, new criminal investigations and civil suits surrounding his business dealings and personal conduct emerged, adding to his already complex legal landscape. In November 2024, a New York judge sentenced him to 45 days in jail after accruing multiple probation violations.

“Your breach of the court’s trust is profound,” Judge Paul Engelmayer told 6ix9ine at the time. 6ix9ine pleaded guilty after agreeing to a deal with prosecutors. He tested positive for meth, failed to comply with drug testing twice and traveled to Las Vegas and Sarasota without permission while on probation.

“Five violations say to me that you believe the rules don’t apply to you,” the judge said. “Maybe you believe that because you’re a famous rapper.”

6ix9ine asked for mercy at his sentencing, saying, “I make a lot of mistakes, but I’m not a bad person.”

Prosecutors asked for a one-month sentence, but Judge Engelmayer was considering two to three months. The judge ultimately settled on 45 days and warned 6ix9ine about further violations.

Kai Cenat Reacts To Being Named In Drake’s UMG Lawsuit

Kai Cenat and other streamers are reacting to Drake’s lawsuit against Universal Music Group.

In his recent filing, Drake claims UMG removed copyright restrictions on “Not Like Us” for YouTube and Twitch, “whitelisting” it for content creators to republish widely. He alleges this was an “unprecedented step” outside of UMG’s usual practices.

The lawsuit states that UMG’s actions allowed content creators to react to and republish the song without facing copyright claims. The suit named creators like Kai Cenat, No Life Shaq, CartierFamily, Zias!, and RDC Gaming, claiming they “profited” from reaction videos due to this whitelisting.

Drake’s legal team presents these reactions as evidence of UMG promoting what they claim is a “defamatory” song.

Twitch star Cenat learned he was mentioned in the lawsuit during a livestream Thursday night (January 16).

“Wait, what?! Why am I in his s###?!” Cenat said. “Wait, hold on! I’ve got to be… what the f###?! I’m getting sued?!”

He added, “I was told to stay on stream!” referencing Drake messaging him just before dropping “Family Matters” to ensure he could react live.

However, Cenat soon learned he was not being sued, leaving him relieved before boasting about how much money he made from his “Not Like Us” reaction video.

“I wasn’t even complaining, all my s### is monetized,” Cenat said. “How much views we’ve got in that b####? 9 million? I don’t believe it!”

Streamers React To Drake Lawsuit

Kai Cenat wasn’t the only content creator named in the suit to address it with their followers.

Zias! and B. spoke to their lawyer about the viability of countersuing for emotional distress.

Meanwhile, NoLifeShaq uploaded a video titled “Ain’t No Way Drake Snitching on Me.”

He opened the video stating, “Man, ain’t no way! Drake, you out here naming us in your lawsuit? Bro, this has to be the softest move in hip-hop history!”

Khari’s Colored People Time: A Time-Traveling Hip-Hop Masterpiece

Khari’s latest studio album, Colored People Time, is here, and it’s a masterclass in storytelling and sonic brilliance.

The 16-track project serves as an ambitious chapter in Khari’s The World’s A Stage series.

The album, executive produced by Lvls (pronounced “Levels”), a rising star under the wing of multi-platinum producer 30 Roc, is already generating buzz as a groundbreaking contribution to hip-hop’s evolving narrative.

With Colored People Time, Khari invites listeners to journey through pivotal moments in his life, blending personal experiences with sharp cultural commentary.

Tracks like “Count It” double as both money-making anthems and declarations of Khari’s hunger for greatness. Meanwhile, “Black Magic” delivers a stirring ode to Black culture, laced with bars as clever as “They needed a Larry Bird, just to minimize the Magic.” Other standout tracks include the introspective “Like Me,” the observational “Bird Watch,” the hard-hitting “Jdango,” and the captivating finale “Back to the Past,” produced by Montanta, the son of Cincinnati music legend DJ Hi-Tek. The closing track recounts a vivid, true story from Khari’s childhood, proving once again that his lyricism and storytelling are second to none.

“This is my career Section 80 album that will get me over the hill and to be a household name,” Khari confidently shared about the album.

But Khari’s influence isn’t confined to the music industry.

As an independent artist, he’s built a formidable social media presence, engaging a loyal and ever-expanding fanbase.

Outside the booth, Khari is a game-changer in education, using hip-hop to inspire his fifth-grade students at Rockdale Academy.

His innovative teaching methods raised the literacy rate in his classroom from 30% to an astounding 110% in just one quarter.

Khari’s reach extends far beyond his classroom.

With nine Cincinnati Public School-backed billboards featuring his image around the city, two Emmy nominations, and a hip-hop play series (The World’s A Stage) that sold out twice, his star power is undeniable.

Earlier this year, he even took his talents global with a spring break tour in Spain, solidifying his status as a fearless innovator in both hip-hop and education.

With Colored People Time, Khari has positioned himself as a rare artist who seamlessly merges artistry, activism, and education.

Meek Mill Reacts To Drake’s Lawsuit Against UMG Over “Not Like Us”

Drake’s recent lawsuit against UMG over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has people questioning how Meek Mill feels about the situation, considering the Philadelphia rapper was once the subject of a scathing diss track from the Toronto superstar.

One of those raising questions was battle rap legend Arsonal Da Rebel, who took to social media to address Meek Mill directly, referring to his 2015 beef with Drake.

“I WONDER HOW @MeekMill FEEL BOUT DRAKE SUING,” he wrote. “CAUSE N##### SAID THIS N THAT BOUT HIM…… DRAKE WENT ALL OUT ON MEEK.

Although Meek Mill responded to the Newark, New Jersey native, he gave a convoluted answer. He went off on a tangent about streaming numbers, stating that he ignored his label’s advice not to drop “DC4” until the feud was over. He also seemingly implied that there was a social media campaign fueling the beef.

“Label told me don’t drop nothing,” he wrote. “I went against that and dropped dc4 mixxtape ‘Shari Bryant backed me herself’ 90k first week to heat up … I couldn’t make any playlist either that had me confused a lil losing confidence but I knew 80% was campaign! Influence for the net only.”

Meek Mill elaborated in a follow-up tweet, but it still offered no clarity on his thoughts about Drake suing UMG.

“It all comes down to who know who,” he added. “once I started owning companies I wanted to be in convo with the high level shakers and owners if I made more than 100m on a label because not the only business I got and I deal with the top people at companies to get top results!”

However, Meek also appeared to distinguish himself from Drake in a third post. He stated that while he taken losses, “I learn from them and move on!”

Unlike Meek, Arsonal clearly stated his thoughts on lawsuits stemming from rap battles.

“IN A RAP BATTLE U CAN SAY WATEVA U WANT…… POINT BLANK PERIOD,” he said. “U DNT SUE A N#### CAUSE HE HURT YA FEELINGS N CALLED U SOMETHING WEATHER ITS TRU OR NOT….. IF U COULDNT HANDLE THE LYRICS WHY ENTER THE BATTLE? ILL TELL YALL WHY HE THOUGHT HE WAS UNBEATABLE!! (we all lose sometimes).”

A post shared by The Mac Miller Memoir (@macmillermemoir)

Mac Miller’s estate announced Balloonerism last November. They note the album is, a “project that was of great importance to Malcolm – to the extent that he commissioned artwork for it and discussions concerning when it should be released were had regularly, though ultimately ‘GO:OD AM’ [2015] and subsequent albums ended up taking precedence.”

They continued: “We believe the project showcases both the breadth of his musical talents and fearlessness as an artist. Given that unofficial versions of the album have circulated online for years and that releasing ‘Balloonerism’ was something that Malcolm frequently expressed being important to him, we felt it most appropriate to present an official version of the project to the world.”

Balloonerism is already receiving rave reviews on social media and began trending No.1 on X (Twitter) shortly after it dropped. Stream the album below and check out some of the reactions at the end of the page.
