Ari Lennox has revealed she recently dealt with an experience similar to what Red Bull Records artist Blxst vented about on Instagram while traveling.
In case you missed it, artists such as Busta Rhymes, Pusha T, D Smoke and more showed support to Blxst after he spoke out and condemned a burglary that occurred at his home, disturbing and frightening his family and causing him to feel helplessly frustrated while touring abroad.
Blxst also shared security footage of the incident, remarking on how hard it was for him not to “crash out” in the immediate aftermath of the home invasion. While the Shea Butter Baby vocalist didn’t have the capability to share footage of the incident, she opted to vent her frustrations with the burglary attempt on of Los Angeles home, much like Blxst did, in a lengthy video she recently shared.
“My house got burglarized,” Lennox said. “I was renting a home in LA, n###as burglarized my home. Pepper sprayed my dogs and I wrote a song about it.”
Unlike Blxst, Lennox was actually in town when the burglary occurred, which she went on to remark about during her summation of the incident.
“So when that happened I was just like, ‘F##k this, I’m not going nowhere’,” she said. “It was crazy. The night that it happened, I stayed at the house and everything. I just was in so much shock. I didn’t want to go to a hotel, but it was really wild. Luckily I wasn’t there, but it was weird.”
Lennox theorized how it could have been a calculated attack, given the specific lengths the intruders went to pull off the burglary.
“It happened at a time where it’s like, ‘How the, did they know I had dogs? How the f### did they know I wouldn’t be home? It was weird as f##k,'” she said.
Ari Lennox then turned her attention to Blxst’s incident, saying, “And when I say I saw what happened to Blxst, I feel every word. I can’t imagine having to actually be there or my kids being there. That’s horrifying. So yeah, when that happened, I said, ‘F##k this.’ I’m damn sure not flying to Raleigh to even get on a plane.
“I have to have some sense of security and level-headedness. And at that point I was completely depleted and done. I said, ‘I can’t, I can’t, can’t.’ I couldn’t leave home. I couldn’t leave my dogs. I couldn’t do it. So next year for sure, I think I’ll be in a better space in general.”
Last month, Marlon Wayans spoke out after two intruders entered his home late at night through a rear window in a robbery attempt that was discovered when employees arrived in the morning and found the place ransacked. Marlon shared a similar post on Instagram after the fact, addressing the “ROBBERS and OTHERS” in the caption of the post with a PSA.
“I am the WRONG N* to ROB. Save your energy,” Marlon wrote. “Sorry, i live a simple life with 2 cats and one of them is a 1994 Range Rover, you will need a jumpstart if you steal it cuz the battery is dead. Robbers don’t waste your energy or your life doing home invasions, s### is too heavy!!!
“You want to carry all that b#######? Throw your back out, and for what?! I repeat I don’t own s### valuable. I don’t have a bunch of cash or jewelry. Please pick a better [target] thank you and love you… still.”
Check out the footage Blxst shared of the burglary that occurred recently at his home below.
Ralo is making sure to use his newfound freedom as an opportunity to do good deeds for his loved ones and give his incarcerated rap peer YFN Lucci his flowers in the process.
On Monday (July 22), the “Kingpin” shared a post on Instagram dedicated to his Atlanta rap counterpart YFN Lucci, who has been incarcerated since his arrest in 2021. In the lengthy caption of the post, Ralo took the time to empathize with Lucci’s situation, explaining why he shared a video of he and the “Wet” rapper’s recent conversation during which he informed him he would be taking his kids back-to-school shopping.
“Imagine being on 23 hour lock down for months,” Ralo wrote in the post.
“That sht will f## up a person head and soul. We gotta give Lucci momma her flowers for holding that sht down for him. I have to beg Lucci to allow me to do sht for his kids cuz that’s all ah nicca got fr. I told him we gotta show the world how to be real men cuz it’s way too much flaw sht going on and the people following the sucker sht.”
Ralo concluded, “He will never old nothing in return im looking for my rewards for our lord. Anything I do for anybody is to cleanse my soul from all the wrong I’ve done… I love you forever brother #FreeLucci (Ralo Chapter 38 Volume 3 #OutNow go watch and subscribe my YouTube please).”
In the video clip of their conversation, Ralo continued to break down how much he feels for Lucci and his situation, especially considering he spent years in the same predicament himself.
“You know, after like five, six years go by that s###, you be needing that s###, Lucci,” he said. “That bankroll get kind of, you know what I’m saying? You know, my first two years I cocky. I don’t need nothing from no b###h. Five years went by, six years I said, ‘Hold up I need it’.”
The connection between Ralo and Lucci is underscored by their dynamic collaborative chemistry, highlighted on releases such as “Dream Last Night” and “Been Had.” In 2017 the pair connected for their anthemic collaboration “The Dopeman” immediately after Ralo signed with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Eskimo Records and released his Famerican Gangster II mixtape.
Ralo was released from federal prison last November after he was convicted and sentenced to 97 months in prison, following a 2018 arrest stemming from a massive marijuana trafficking operation.
On the other hand, Lucci was charged with racketeering, violating Atlanta’s anti-gang law, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony back in 2021. Lucci pleaded guilty earlier this year in January as a part of a plea deal in which he can serve a sentence of 20 years in prison with credit for time served.

Soulja Boy avoided paying a $10 million judgment to a former girlfriend who sued him for assault, sexual battery and infliction of emotional distress. According to court documents obtained by In Touch Weekly, a judge decided to toss a default judgment if the rapper appeared for a deposition by the end of the month.
A woman identified as Jane Doe filed a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend Soulja Boy in 2021. She accused him of years of abuse and blamed him for her miscarriage. Jane Doe said the rapper punched her in the face and chest “until she could no longer stand on her feet” in 2015. The incident allegedly resulted in her loss of pregnancy.
Soulja Boy denied any wrongdoing. His lawyer argued he wasn’t responsible for the woman’s miscarriage.
“With respect to all causes of action, Defendant alleges that the willful, intentional, deliberate, malicious and fraudulent conduct of others was/were responsible for and proximately contributed to the damages alleged to have been sustained, if any such damages were sustained, the fact of which is expressly denied, and that such conduct constitutes a bar to Plaintiff’s recovery hereunder,” the attorney wrote.
Jane Doe requested $10 million in damages. She claimed Soulja Boy never sat for a deposition and failed to respond to her lawsuit. A judge granted her a default judgment but changed course after Soulja Boy agreed to sit for a deposition.
Soulja Boy faced lawsuits from another ex-girlfriend, Kayla Myers, and a separate Jane Doe who worked for him as a personal assistant. Myers successfully sued her former boyfriend for abuse. A jury awarded her six figures in damages in 2023.
The second Jane Doe filed her lawsuit in 2021. She accused Soulja Boy of rape and other acts of violence.
Earlier this month, Soulja Boy filed a lawsuit of his own when sued vlogger Tasha K for defamation. He sought $16 million in damages.
Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee accused Chris Brown and others of assault on Monday (July 22). Brown and his entourage allegedly assaulted four men in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday (July 20).
Buzbee announced he filed a lawsuit against Brown on social media. The lawyer said one of Brown’s alleged victims was hospitalized.
“On Saturday night in Ft. Worth, entertainer Chris Brown, along with his entourage, attacked and brutally beat several men who had just attended his concert,” Buzbee wrote on Instagram. “Multiple police reports have been made. At least one of the men beaten remains hospitalized. Chris Brown has a long history of violence. He has been arrested or accused of assault on at least ten occasions. Enough! The Buzbee Law Firm filed suit this morning on behalf of the four men brutalized this last weekend in the hope of obtaining justice for these victims and putting an end, once and for all, to Brown’s intolerable and thuggish behavior.”
Brown performed in Fort Worth on July 19 and 20. He was originally scheduled for just one concert at the Dickies Arena, but strong demand for tickets led to him adding a second show.
No police report or footage of the alleged assault surfaced before Buzbee called out Brown on social media. The victims are reportedly seeking $50 million.
Brown faced multiple assault allegations over the years. He was most infamously charged with beating his former girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
The controversial singer accepted a plea deal and avoided jail in the Rihanna case. He pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault. A judge sentenced Brown to five years of probation and 180 days of community labor. Brown had to complete a domestic violence counseling program.
Last year, a man named Abe Diaw sued Brown over an incident at a London nightclub. Brown was accused of bashing Diaw over the head with a Tequilla bottle and stomping the man. The attack allegedly resulted in Diaw’s hospitalization.
Eminem scored the 11th No. 1 album of his career as The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) debuted atop the Billboard 200. Em’s latest chart-topping entry dethroned Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, which spent 12 weeks at No. 1.
The Death of Slim Shady moved 281,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week. It racked up 220 million streams and sold 114,000 copies in traditional sales.
Eminem tied Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen and Kanye West for the fifth most No. 1 albums in Billboard 200 history. He remained behind The Beatles (the record holder with 19 No. 1 albums), Jay-Z and Swift (14 each) and Drake (13).
The Death of Slim Shady prevented Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department from tying a record set by Stevie Wonder’s beloved album Songs in the Key of Life. Wonder’s classic spent its first 13 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Eminem dropped The Death of Slim Shady on July 12. It was his first album since 2020’s Music To Be Murdered By, which also debuted at No. 1.
JID, Jelly Roll, Babytron, Big Sean, Skylar Grey and Shady Records artist Ez Mil contributed to Eminem’s new album. The project featured production by Eminem, Dr. Dre, Don Cannon, Benny Blanco and more.
Eminem surprised fans by appearing at Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s Gin & Juice Party in London a week after The Death of Slim Shady’s release. Em performed “Houdini” from his new album and “Forgot About Dre” with Dr. Dre.
The 115th NAACP convention wrapped up in Las Vegas last week. This was my first convention and first time being active in the NAACP in quite some time. I had been a member in college, and later my daughter was part of their ACT-So program that highlights talents in the arts, sciences, technology and other skill sets. When I walked away, I was fired up.
The convention hosted a wide spectrum of talents, activists, political figures, media personas and numerous others in leadership, including President Joe Biden. Biden inspired the crowd, having them yell “four more years!” repeatedly. I was inspired, too. I told a friend that “Joe was standing on business.” And I meant that.
So when Biden stepped off the ticket and out of the race, it felt like a gut punch. I was taken by surprise, even though I had heard the political rumors. I had also seen the hate and vitriol he faced from people within his own party. I couldn’t understand numerous aspects of the situation and wonder if some were MAGA like The Hydra in Marvel movies. I was annoyed and frustrated that the party seemed to be in shambles, disloyal, and lacking unity.
Meanwhile, the MAGA set seemed to be in full solidarity behind a megalomaniac, narcissistic, ultra-capitalist, xenophobic, racist, sexist convicted felon. By the way, I know some “felons” and many of them are decent, hard-working people who just want a better life. That is not Donald Trump.
Shortly thereafter, Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris for the presidency of the United States. That was contrary to the rumors and speculation I had heard. Many people speculated that he would not endorse her and that the party was looking to toss the baby out with the bathwater. That meant they would not get behind the vice president, who is literally in that position to take on the presidency if and when called upon.
Immediately, Black women began to rally, and an emergency call was formulated on Zoom. Many folks, myself included, tried to get on that call, but it was overrun. More than 40,000 people got on the call, brothers included, to listen to the strategy from women in power. I won’t lie. I went on to watch “House of the Dragon” and “Big Brother” that night. I was completely stressed out and needed a reprieve from the dramatic turn of events.
However, I must admit that by the time I started watching those shows, I had been reassured in a great way. First of all, folks who were not backing Joe Biden were suddenly backing Kamala Harris as the candidate for the future of America. And, make no mistake about it, that’s what this is—the future. This also applies to Donald J. Trump in the event that he becomes the leader of the United States. It might sound quite cliché, but this is a fight for generations and generations.
So let’s talk about the elephants in the room: men, men, men. And also white women, white women, white women, because they are on the hook here, too. My greatest fear with VP Kamala Harris is that white people would not come out in droves to oppose Donald Trump. Years ago, I saw how they did Hillary Clinton when she ran for president. It was white women who were the deciding factor in that election and gave us four years of incompetence, a rise in racism and rampant rhetoric that rivaled Hitler. (Even J.D. Vance, Trump’s wanna-be VP once compared Trump to Hitler. Go figure.)
So powerful was this rhetoric that we saw Black men jumping behind Donald Trump. I found it odd, weird, and fascinating at times. I was also disgusted. It was so clear that this guy was not qualified for the job and that many of us were gravitating to base, simplistic qualities. “He tells it like it is” or “he doesn’t take any s###” was regurgitated.
On the flip side, many folks brought up the past records of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. They repeatedly rehashed their records as a younger senator and district attorney in California. It should be noted that much of their “record” has been maligned over the years and through the internet. Most of us know these facts, even if they are not facts.
Facts and opinions aside, I would absolutely argue that this is not about the past but the present and future. And I say that emphatically and absolutely. Right now, there is so much at stake. This is about protection, protecting our future and present. I haven’t read the whole 900+ pages of Project 2025, but I’ve read enough to know that it must be stopped. Donald Trump continues to deny involvement with it, but he’s aligning his constituency and his proponents to make it happen. They are right there. Heritage Foundation, we see you.
No reasonable person can line up with a ban on abortions, which for them includes rape and incest. No reasonable person can cosign these cuts in Medicare and Social Security. We have to think about our senior citizens and elders. I haven’t said much because, quite frankly, this is all messy. And it’s all nuanced, as well. So, I stand in solidarity with Black people on many fronts, all rooted in liberation and equality.
The NAACP convention was more revolutionary than anything I’ve seen in recent memory and I salute NAACP President Derrick Johnson and his team for setting a tone for us to go back into our communities to work. And when I say revolutionary, I do not mean extremist or extremism. It was really “boots on the ground” talk and “Black folks have to save America again” chatter. But we have always been the voice of reason and the conscience of the country. Moreover, our civil rights struggles have benefited almost every class, race, and that includes white women. Yes, they benefitted most from affirmative action. So it’s baffling to see folks opposing a Black woman and also lining up with a person such as Donald Trump.
I know some of you guys don’t want a queen on the throne, but we do not need a dictator. The Supreme Court put the fix in a couple of months ago, and we all know what that means. I am not looking for “fascism lite,” which really feels eerily like old-time regular fascism.
Seeing 40,000 Black women and other people convening on a Zoom call is encouraging. They raised about $1.5 million on that call with the total being $50 million raised since Biden dropped out. Encouraging. Seeing Bill and Hillary Clinton back Kamala Harris for the presidency is encouraging. Knowing that I have to get back in the ring in a way that I hadn’t been for years is encouraging, too. I’ll never forget being on stage at the Congressional Black Caucus and telling Black people “this is war” and the older faces in the crowd looking at me like I was crazy.
It’s not crazy now. And we are absolutely in a bloodless civil war that some say could turn bloody if we don’t do as they wish. To that, I say “Let’s go. Let’s get it on! I don’t do bullies, and I don’t do fear-mongering. So if you’re scared, get a dog. But if you’re about freedom and true equality, I suggest you get in the game. I’ve been on the front lines, even when I wasn’t on the front lines. Check the résumé. Get active! Get free!
NBA YoungBoy supporters invaded his Utah court hearing via a WebEx video conference on Monday (July 22). Several fans disrupted the proceedings by shouting “Free YB” after he left court. Judge Spencer Walsh attempted to restore order.
“Mr. Gaulden’s case has already been called,” the judge said. “He’s done with court today for those of you interested. Everyone keep yourselves muted.”
NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, remained in custody following his April arrest for prescription drug fraud in Utah. He was transported to court on Monday only to be told his hearing was postponed to August.
“Mr. Gaulden, it doesn’t look like your attorneys are online right now,” Judge Walsh explained to NBA YoungBoy. “It looks like on Friday they requested that we continue your case out to August 19 … August 19 at 9 a.m. will be your next court date. It looks like the transport order was already in the works and so you were just brought over today. But we’ll have you back on August 19 at 9 a.m., okay? Just speak to your attorney about that.”
Later in the hearing, NBA YoungBoy’s attorney made a virtual appearance. Judge Walsh confirmed the court date was rescheduled for August.
“Your honor, I apologize,” the lawyer said. “This is John Williams. I’m Mr. Gaulden’s attorney. And I apologize for my being tardy. I was at a doctor’s appointment and just got back in my car.”
Utah authorities busted NBA YoungBoy for fraudulently obtaining promethazine with codeine from pharmacies while he was on house arrest in a federal gun case. He faced dozens of charges, including forgery and identity fraud.
Judge Walsh set NBA YoungBoy’s bond at $100,000 in May. Judge Shelly Dick, the Louisiana judge overseeing the rapper’s gun case, ordered the Motown Records artist to be detained by the feds in April.

Montel Williams is addressing an old video of him and Vice President Kamala Harris from their brief 2001 relationship after the footage went viral.
The video has surfaced online before but was shared widely by critics attacking Harris after Joe Biden announced he was dropping out of the 2024 presidential race and endorsed the Vice President. The video shows Harris attending a red carpet with Williams before entering politics. At the time, Harris headed the Family and Children Services of San Fransico.
The footage also includes Williams’ daughter, who attended the event with them, prompting the television host to respond to far-right social media influencer and Trump supporter Laura Loomer, who shared the clip.
In the hate-filled post, Loomer claimed Williams “appears to be holding hands with more than one woman at the same time,” and branded Harris a “side-piece.”
However, Williams called Loomer out, insisting she’s hiding his requests not to mention his daughter.
“As most of you know, that is my daughter to my right,” he explained. “I’ve asked @LauraLoomer not to target my kids who aren’t public figures. She keeps hiding my tweet.”

In a follow-up tweet, Montel Williams said the decades-old footage of him and Kamala Harris is a time waster.
“I’ve said what I’m going to say about the thing that keeps trending,” he added in a since-deleted tweet. “My friends in the media should think twice about wasting time on a 20+ year old picture – you will find doing so will earn an unpleasant reaction.”
Montel Williams Refuses To Answer “Misogynistic” Questions About Kamala Harris
He also shared a post from his publicist with a screenshot of an email from Fox News asking for Williams’ take on Biden endorsing Harris. The outlet also enquired as to whether they remained in touch over the years.
“Ask stupid questions, win stupid prizes,” Williams’ rep wrote. “I’m going to do this to every reporter who asks me this creepy, misogynistic question. I have no obligation to be cordial to reporters asking creepy and inappropriate questions.”
Furthermore, Montel Williams dismissed the notion he refused to support Kamala Harris after he said he “would love to see” Maryland Governor Wes Moore “leading the ticket.”
“I will vote for whomever is on my ballot not named Trump,” he insisted. “I have said this over, and over, and over again. Nothing has changed.”

Kash Doll has announced that she is a single woman again after splitting from her partner Tracy T, with whom she shares two children.
Last month, the former couple welcomed a baby daughter to add to their growing family after their son Kashton was born in 2022. However, Kash Doll said she’s unwilling to stay in a failing relationship simply for the sake of their children.
On Sunday, Kash Doll announced the news on her Instagram Stories although she later deleted the post.
“I’m single,” she wrote. “IDGAF ABOUT Y’ALL SAYING I HAVE TWO KIDS BY HIM NOW. I’M JUST A BABY MAMA. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH… I’M NOT DEALING WITH JUST ANYTHING TO KEEP MY FAMILY TOGETHER.”

Shortly after Kash Doll’s announcement, fans quizzed Tracy T about the split while he was on Instagram Live. He said although people have been reaching out, urging him to “keep ya head up,” he’s fine.
“Y’all don’t know what the f### going on man,” he added later in the Live. “Y’all believe anything y’all hear.”
He also insisted he’s not an attention seeker and seemingly suggested the split was “part of the marketing strategy or something.”
Kash Doll announced the birth of their daughter in a Father’s Day tribute to Tracy T earlier this year.
“Even though u get on my last and first nerves this video wouldn’t b created without u!” she captioned the post. “Thank you for making me a mother of 2 now gone head and get on birth control cause klarity was the last piece to this puzzle… my lil family complete.”
Cardi B announced she is entering her “villain era” and after getting into it with a TikTok personality the rapper accused of bashing her because she wants her husband Offset.
On Sunday (July 21), the “Wanna Be” hitmaker took to Instagram Live to vent about criticism from fans. Cardi announced she’s rejecting feminism because her harshest critique always comes from her female fans.
“I’m not a feminist no more,” she declared. “You want to know why? Because you could get on social media and your hardest critics is women. Women are always out here looking for ways to talk s### about other women.”
According to Cardi B, no matter the topic, female fans always bring up her marriage.
“Why I’m talking about Kamala [Harris], and I’m talking about Joe Biden and you out here f###### talking about me and Offset,” she questioned. “It’s like it’s like women worst enemies are women, and y’all like to be talking about that it’s men. No, it be y’all b######. Y’all always talking s### about another woman for no reason. Unprovoked on a f###### Sunday, b####.”
Furthermore, Cardi B claimed she’s entering her “villain era,” claiming that even “nice” celebrities get trashed by fans.
“Because when I be nice, y’all still talk s###,” she explained. “Y’all already y already made up a image of me that I’m an super evil b####. Yeah b####, I’mma be that cuz y’all b###### be getting me on my f###### nerves.”
Cardi B then referenced her spat with TikTok Star Paradise Paris. The dispute arose over criticism of her album delays but soon turned personal with talk of infidelity in Cardi’s marriage.
Sooo the whole time this what it was about ? You made it about my album ,my plastic surgery,my marriage all cause you want to sleep wit my babydad ? …..y’all weird!! https://t.co/Zk0xl2Pzk2
“Next thing you know, I found out that this b#### been trying to f### Offset since 2023,” she added. “So you’re shaming me for staying with my n####, this whole time you want to f### him.”
Cardi B deduced that any critics of her marriage must be after her husband and plans to put them on blast.
She added, “When y’all be in the comments being rude and mean to me, I hope ya page is private.”
Candace Owens is being dragged online after resurrecting debunked claims that Vice President Kamala Harris secured her position by sleeping with prominent politicians.
On Sunday (July 21), the controversial far-right commentator weighed in with her opinion after Joe Biden announced he would be bowing out of the 2024 Presidential race and endorsing his Vice President. She took to her YouTube channel with a live broadcast about the news.
According to Owens, “It’s a fact” that Harris “slept her way to the top,” citing her brief relationship with former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown in the 1990s.
“She was with some sixty-year-old man, got her start in the political career,” Owens stated before claiming Harris was “thotting through life.” She also claimed Brown “was married and he was in his 60s and Kamala Harris was just a spring chicken.”
According to Owens, “that is how [Harris] entered the political scene.” She went on to claim that Harris was never part of the Democratic Party “ecosystem,” but she was recruited to highlight how “white” the Republican party is.

Candace Owens Fact Checked Over Kamala Harris “Affair” Claims
However, social media users blasted Candace Owens when clips of her comments About Kamala Harris circulated.
“Girl Trump was convicted of sexual assault. And 34 felonies. And Your point is ???” one person wrote on Instagram, while another added, “Donald Trump clearly sexually assaulted his way up.”
Meanwhile, others still fact-checked her long-debunked remarks about Harris having an affair with Brown.
“I hear Candace Owens is trashing VP Kamala Harris for her relationship to SF Mayor Willie Brown,” one X (Twitter) user shared. “Brown has been separated from wife over 40 yrs, and has often gone to galas w/his girlfriend on one arm, and his wife on the other. Can’t dig up any dirt, Candace??? Awww.”

In 2020, Reuters confirmed that Brown was legally married when he and Harris dated in 1994 to 1995. However, the outlet stated “affair” claims are “misleading” as he had been separated from his wife for over a decade.
“Harris and Brown’s relationship was not secret and they made public appearances as a couple,” Reuters reported.

Each hip-hop, rock, or pop star has a story in their life that changed their creativity in a way that is unimaginable. The new environment helped them to evolve to the next level and strive for a more genuine identity in music. In this article, we will be sharing with you three stars who transformed after relocating from one place to another.
Tupac Shakur
The change of the place of living from New York to California had a significant impact on Tupac Shakur’s music and his career. New ideas that he got from the new environment of California were incorporated into his lyrics and music. The kind of life that Tupac was living on the West Coast made him write even harder and more charged songs on racism, violence, and social injustice. He became a street speaker and a defender of African Americans’ rights, so the people and the music industry appreciated him.
After moving to California from New York, Tupac Shakur’s career started to grow and he attained many accomplishments. His music became more relevant, and the themes were much darker, reflecting the street life in California. Tupac’s albums “All Eyez on Me” and “The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory” were certified platinum and the rapper was hailed as one of the best rappers of all time. In California, he also continued acting in films that enhanced his image and gave him other means of communication. If you want to follow in Tupac’s footsteps and relocate to California, the best option is to hire NYC Movers, which has been in the intercity and international moving business for over ten years and can deliver anything anywhere.
Drake
Relocating from Canada to the United States was a significant turning point in the life and music career of rapper Drake. After the move, his music has transcended regional boundaries and is now enjoyed by people all over the world. The self-imposed shelving of his musical dreams, as well as his work with American artists, has played a big part in Drake’s success. The relocation also affected Drake’s personality by making him more career-oriented, flexible, and competitive in work.
Drake had several issues to deal with after relocating from Canada to the United States; culture shock, being an immigrant, and the struggle for success. He started writing lyrics based on his life and feelings and also narrated his journey to stardom. Drake’s style changed, and his lyrics became more profound and genuine, as well as the songs became closer to the listeners’ experiences. His music also evolved due to this shift, incorporating aspects of other popular American music genres in order to expand his market reach even further.

50 Cent and Drake are cooking up something big after linking in Toronto over the weekend.
The G-Unit honcho was in town for a performance but found time to meet with the OVO boss, and it looks like they’re working on a new television project.
Footage of 50 Cent and Drake hanging out and engrossed in conversation surfaced on social media.
On Sunday (July 21), Fiddy took to social media to share a photo of him posing with Drake. He teased an upcoming project in the caption, revealing they had a “brainstorming” session.
“Me and @champagnepapi gonna get the [camera] rolling,” 50 Cent added. “Biggest ting on your TV.”
Meanwhile, 50 Cent also made time to troll Rick Ross during his Toronto trip after the MMG honcho was jumped in Canada amid his beef with Drake. A video of Fiddy mocking Rozay while performing went viral on social media over the weekend.
“I want to take the time out to thank you for making me feel so at home, because some of y’all kicked Rick Ross’ ass, right,” 50 told the crowd. “So I wanna thank you again for making me feel so at home.”
It’s not the first time 50 Cent has been in Drake’s home country since the infamous brawl in Vancouver. He also taunted Rick Ross earlier this month during a concert in Canada.
“I can’t believe what y’all did to Rick Ross—you f##### him up,” 50 said before joking that he spotted the man who swung on Ross in the crowd. “Who was it, you did it? There he go right there. Who said Canada was soft? Who said that s###?”
He also mentioned the incident in a promo video, saying, “They f### with me out here. They beat Rick Ross the f### up.” Meanwhile, Uncle Murda added, “We’re going to Canada, and we ain’t them other n#####, you heard.”
Meek Mill may be well known for his love of riding ATVs, but his latest stunts left fans baffled, with many rehashing the gay jokes following allegations in Lil Rod’s sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy.
The Philly native took to social media over the weekend to share a carousel of videos of a recent ride with friends on the streets of Newark, New Jersey. Meek joined dozens of other enthusiasts on the ride and posted footage of a few of his stunts.
“Big benders,” he captioned his post. “Don’t try this at home!”
The first slide shows Meek Mill performing an impressive wheelie on the ATV as he rides along the road. However, the second slide raised eyebrows with fans roasting Meek’s bizarre thrusting motion on the 4-wheeler.
“The 2nd slide was for diddy,” one person wrote in the comment section. Another user branded the stunt “Diddy Wheelies,” while a third urged Meek Mill to “Quit diddying the bike bro.”
The roasting continued on X (Twitter) after clips of Meek Mill on the ATV circulated on the platform.
“Meek Mill never beating those allegations,” one user wrote.
Meek Mill found himself in hot water with the law after pulling a wheelie in the street back in 2017. The stunt landed him a controversial prison sentence of two to four years for violating his probation. The hefty sentence prompted a subsequent campaign to get his charges dropped and the judge who sentenced him to resign.
After Meek Mill received a gubernatorial pardon, he opened the 2022 Summer Jam concert by popping a wheelie on an ATV.
Cardi B is letting it be known that she called on President Joe Biden to back out of the 2024 Election and endorse Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee weeks before he withdrew.
On Sunday, after Biden announced he wouldn’t be seeking re-election, Cardi B took to social media to share a video she made last month.
“STOP PLAYING WIT ME!!!!” Cardi B wrote, posting the video on Instagram. “Check the date.. said this on JUNE 30TH! Been told y’all Kamala should’ve been the 2024 candidate. Y’all be trying to play the Bronx education, baby this what I do!!! Been my passion.. don’t let my accent fool y’all.”
While Cardi B previously refused to endorse Joe Biden or Donald Trump, insisting, “I don’t f### with both of y’all n#####,” the President withdrawing from the race has left her feeling scared.
“This hit me too quick,” she replied when asked if her perspective on voting had changed. “It happened to abruptly I’m actually kinda scared now. Like I got not words.”
I need a second honey this hit me too quick …it happened to abruptly I’m actually kinda scared now .Like I got not words
In her June video, Cardi B appeared to support a Kamala Harris presidential run. “I feel like they should have passed the torch to Kamala,” she explained in the clip. “This was the perfect moment for her … I feel like right now it would be her perfect time to shine.”
Although Cardi B hasn’t endorsed any candidate, her stance on the Republican party is clear.
“I will never turn republican lol,” she replied when a social media user suggested she had.
Plies believes Donald Trump is quaking in his boots at the possibility of running against Kamala Harris now that Joe Biden has backed out of the 2024 race and endorsed the Vice President.
The Florida native is no Trump fan and has been vocal about his distrust of the 34-time convicted felon. On Sunday (July 21), Plies shared his reaction to Biden’s announcement to withdraw from the race.
“This Was A SAD DAY For Mainstream Media & Everyone Else Who Took Pride In Beating Up On A 81yr Old Man,” he shared. “Who Had A Speech Impediment/Stuttering Disorder. Y’all Hoped It Never Ended. Y’all Treated Him Like The Convicted Felon & Treated The Convicted Felon Like He Was The President!”

According to Plies, now that Biden has endorsed Harris as the new nominee, America is set to show its true colors.
“God Put @KamalaHarris In This Position To Show How Sexist/Racist This Country Still Is!” he declared. “Buckle Up & Enjoy The Ride U About To See Things U Never Thought U’d See! MAGA,Trump & Republicans True Colors Will Be On Full Display!!! U’ll About To See How Disgusting People Can Really Be!”
He added, “If U Ever Questioned Rather Trump, MAGA, & The Republicans Was Racist & Or Sexist!!! U Finally About To See & Witness It 1st Hand. They Were Able To Hide It With Biden As The Candidate! But It’s All Gone Come Out Now With @KamalaHarris As The Candidate! Stay Tuned!!”
Plies Claims Donald Trump “Scared” After Biden Exits Race
Plies also claimed Trump’s reaction to Biden’s decision to withdraw from the race is telling. He posted a screenshot of Trump calling for the next presidential debate on FoxNews, not ABC.
“What I Told U He’s Scared Shitless!!” Plies wrote. “He’s A Unconfident, Pathological Liar. Who ONLY Experience Victories When He Manipulates The System (I.E SCOTUS & Judge Cannon). He Has To Lie & Sell U An Illusion In Hopes U Believe In Him!! He Only Wins When It’s Handle To Him! Comey 2016!”

Kamala Harris thanked Joe Biden “for his extraordinary leadership,” in a statement on Sunday. “I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination,” she added. “Over the past year, I have traveled across the country, talking with Americans about the clear choice in this momentous election.”
While Harris has received endorsements from multiple prominent Democrats, her nomination is not a foregone conclusion.
Donald Glover has decided to retire his “Childish Gambino” stage name, describing the moniker as no longer fulfilling. In an interview with the New York Times, Glover revealed he felt the alias had run its course.
“It really was just like, ‘Oh, it’s done,'” Glover explained. “It’s not fulfilling. And I just felt like I didn’t need to build in this way anymore.”
Reflecting on his journey in the music industry, Glover shared the challenges he faced finding a Black community with shared interests during the early days of his career.
“I remember going to an N.E.R.D show with my girlfriend and we were the only two Black people there,” he recalled. “I feel like I was just looking around like, ‘Where is everyone? Am I an alien?'”
The shift in focus from maintaining a stage persona to fostering genuine connections with his family has become a priority for the artist. Glover expressed that he is more interested in meaningful relationships, particularly with his sons, Legend, 8, Drake, 6, and Donald Jr, 4.
“I think grace is undervalued in the world,” he said. “When I put my son on my shoulders, I feel deep joy. That’s real. No one on their deathbed is going to look back and say, ‘Thank God I avoided being cringe.'”
The decision to retire Childish Gambino marks a significant turning point for the multi-talented performer who has made a name for himself in music, acting, and directing. Glover’s choice underscores a broader commentary on the pursuit of genuine human connection over the facade of industry prestige.
As he transitions away from the stage name that once defined his musical career, Glover remains focused on personal fulfillment and the authentic experiences that come from being present for his family. This recalibration of priorities highlights his evolving perspective on creativity and success.
In a world obsessed with image and status, Glover’s decision to prioritize the joy found in simple, genuine moments stands out as a poignant reminder of what truly holds value. His journey is a testament to the power of personal growth and the importance of staying true to oneself.
Dominque Side intended to earn the trust of parents seeking surrogacy solutions. Instead, federal authorities are investigating her Houston-based Surrogacy Escrow Account Management LLC for allegedly misappropriating millions to fund Side’s extravagant lifestyle and aspiring rap career.
Allegations against Side include using escrow funds, earmarked for surrogates, to launch her Hip-Hop career as “Dom” and to live in luxury. Parents across the United States, having deposited tens of thousands of dollars each into SEAM-managed accounts, now find their surrogates unpaid and their hopes for parenthood thwarted.
Among them, Ryan Woods deposited $62,000 into a SEAM account only to find payments to her surrogate halted. Post an evasive email about a banking issue, communication with Side ceased.
“It’s super emotional,” Woods said. “We don’t know how we can move forward to have our own child at this point.”
Other aggrieved clients, like Michael Rodriguez and his husband, who were relying on SEAM for a second child, feel deeply deceived.
“It’s incredibly evil. It’s despicable. It’s disgusting,” Rodriguez said, echoing the sentiments of many echoing families who have contacted law enforcement, seeking answers and restitution.
An investigation by FOX 26 Houston revealed that SEAM’s dubious financial activities may have been long-standing.
Lori Hood, an attorney for numerous affected families, noted the company’s bank statements exhibited unusually high activity for a non-profit entity.
The examination of SEAM’s records unveiled that funds, meant for surrogates, had been rerouted to finance Side’s personal ventures, including her music studio in Spring Branch.
To date, forensic analysis has uncovered over $10 million diverted to Side’s private projects, which included a recording studio and a single titled “Ion” with Erica Banks.
Video footage from eight months ago on YouTube features Side portraying herself as a driven entrepreneur but she allegedly orchestrated a scheme decimating the finances of hopeful parents and surrogates.
Anthony Hall, Side’s business partner, and co-owner of the music studio, claimed he was unaware of the illicit origins of the funds.
He testified in court, asserting he did not benefit from the defrauded money and expressed willingness to aid the ongoing investigation.
The FBI is actively seeking additional victims and information tied to the case.
André 3000 revealed uncertainty in his musical direction as he transitioned into playing the flute last November, releasingNew Blue Sun, an album that showcases his experimentation with the instrument.
Speaking on LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s podcast, “The Shop,” the Outkast luminary emphasized that his venture into flute music was not driven by any particular agenda or aspiration to become a jazz artist.
“I love jazz music,” he said. “I don’t want people to think that I’m trying to be a jazz musician. I don’t take myself that seriously. I kind of look at myself as a sonic displayist. I don’t know what notes I’m playing, to be completely honest. I’m not trying to pretend like I know what I’m doing, in a way. I actually don’t know what I’m doing and that’s part of the art.”
New Blue Sun was the first album André 3000 released in 17 years, marking the end of a long hiatus from new music.
The album, which diverged significantly from his well-known Hip-Hop roots, left fans and critics alike both intrigued and puzzled. Three Stacks said he wanted to challenge the perceived elitism within the jazz genre and inject a sense of playfulness and humanity into the music.
“Jazz is a studied music, so I just try to humanize,” he said. “Even with the title of the album I was just trying to poke fun at it, have fun.”
One thing I love about Andre 3000 is that he always goes out of his way to show love to Devin The Dude and Odd Squad.

André 3000 announced his triumphant return in November 2023—but it wasn’t exactly what longtime Outkast fans were expecting. Instead of a proper Hip-Hop album, it’s 87 minutes of experimental jazz primarily composed using his instrument of choice, the flute.
But the tracklist was even more mind-blowing. In a post making the rounds on Reddit, the titles of eight tracks were displayed in all their glory. The first one, however, was perhaps the most telling: “I Swear, I Really Wanted To Make A ‘Rap’ Album But This Is Literally The Way The Wind Blew Me This Time.”
Other titles include: “The Slang Word P (*)ssy Rolls Off The Tongue With Far Better Ease Than The Proper Word V#####. Do You Agree?” and “Dreams Once Buried Beneath The Dungeon Floor Slowly Sprout Into Undying Gardens.”
As for the intro to the album, André 3000 explained why he opted to release a bar-less album, saying, “There’s this misconception that I just won’t do it. I think people feel like I’m sitting around on rap albums, or sitting around and I’m just not putting them out in that way. And no it’s not like that… In my mind, I really would like to make a rap album. So maybe that happens one day, but I got to find a way to say what I want to say in an interesting way that’s appealing to me at this age.”
