Angela Simmons Presents Her Son With Clothing Store Left By Deceased Father

Angela Simmons, one of the princesses of Hip-Hop’s royal rap family, is passing on a legacy to her son that has nothing to do with her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame father.

Simmons took to social media to share the amazing gift her child’s father Sutton Tennyson left their Sutton Joseph Jr. before he was shot and killed in 2018.

On Instagram, she announced, “My baby is a young CEO.”

The footage shows the two of them meeting up at the Little Giants Giant Shorties clothing store with Tennyson’s partner to sign a contract making him a boss.

“His father was sure to leave him behind something he can grow with,” she wrote, adding, “My son loves making money (hustling). It’s in his blood. It’s time to finally give him what’s his!”

She then writes to Tennyson, “Your son gets the torch now. Though you are not here with us your legacy lives on ❤️ Go time baby boy 🚀.”

In a video of the presentation, she asks her son, “How does it feel that your dad left you behind this legacy of a company?”

Sutton Joseph Jr said, “It feels super great!”

The youngster is clear about his father’s transition.

AllHipHop.com reported on how difficult it was for the Pastry founder to have the emotional conversation with her son about his father’s death, particularly because he was so young in age and while she was still grieving herself.

Fat Joe Takes On Capitol Hill To Fight Healthcare Price Transparency

Rapper Fat Joe is far more than just an emcee, a businessman, a podcaster, a fashion plate, and an influencer, he is also a healthcare advocate, fighting for the civil rights of others.

According to The Hill’s In The Know (ITK), the Terror Squad leader, whose real name is Joseph Cartagena, will appear on Capitol Hill in the upcoming week to lobby on behalf of Power to the Patients, a nonprofit that advocates for healthcare price transparency.

His plans are to meet with lawmakers in America’s bicameral legislature (The Senate and House of Representatives) and at the White House to talk about the need for medical professionals to be upfront with how much they charge people who are sick and in need of care.

“Our healthcare system needs comprehensive reform and I remain committed to using my platform to work alongside Power to the Patients and give a voice to the voiceless,” Fat Joe explained.

“We must demand accountability from hospitals and insurers, so people can get a transparent understanding of the cost of their medical bills and make more informed financial decisions on healthcare services,” the 52-year-old said.

Adding, “With prices hidden, oftentimes, the bills are not even consistent at the same hospital. It’s tearing families apart.”

In addition to his lobbying, Fat Joe will also perform at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in Washington D.C. on Thursday, April 27.

E-40 Releases Joint Statement With NBA Team Regarding “Unfortunate Misunderstanding”

After an investigation into why E-40 was ejected from one of the Warriors vs. Kings playoff games, the Bay Area rap staple has released a joint statement with the Sacramento Kings about his removal.

The statement, obtained by Mercury News, read: “After a series of thoughtful and transparent conversations, both parties agree that there was a miscommunication regarding the circumstances that occurred during the Kings vs. Warriors game on Saturday night.

“Contrary to speculation, Mr. Earl ‘E-40’ Stevens did not stand excessively from his ticketed courtside seat; the outcome resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding between both parties.”

An avid supporter of the team, the Mount Westmore co-founder originally said he believed the incident was racially motivated. A bevy of support came the “Sprinkle Me” rapper’s way, with most people touting how he’s one of the most congenial and drama-less personalities in Hip-Hop culture.

As Willie D from the Geto Boys wrote on Instagram, “When I Heard E-40 Got Ejected From A Kings-Warriors Game I knew Immediately He Was The Victim because E-40 don’t mess with nobody. Turns out I was right.”

According to E-40, the Kings fans heckled him the entire game, but he held off responding until the fourth quarter. When security came, they saw him arguing with a white woman, assumed he was the aggressor, then proceeded to escort him out the arena.

“I didn’t have a dog in the fight, but now I hope GS beat the breaks off the Kings,” he wrote. “And I will be addressing this tomorrow.”

Now, that the “misunderstanding” has been rectified, E-40 is expected to return courtside on Thursday’s game at Chase Center in San Francisco.

Killer Mike Celebrates 4/20 Birthday By Announcing First Solo Album Since 2012

Killer Mike has announced his first new solo album in nearly a decade, the aptly titled Michael. Ahead of its release, the Run The Jewels juggernaut has unveiled the project’s lead single, “Don’t Let The Devil” featuring El-P and Thankyougoodsir. Produced by El-P, No. I.D. and Little Shalimar, the moody track finds Mike warning his listeners, “In the name of Jesus the reefer I serve a purpose I got high as the sky/As I fly over earth surface/Flying satellite height as I’m looking at earth’s circus/Keep your eyes on the prize and don’t let the devil coerce you.”

The new album follows 2012’s R.A.P. Music, which essentially introduced the dream team of Michael Render and Jaime Meline before they officially became Run The Jewels.

“RTJ is the X-Men, this is my Logan,“ Mike said in a press release. “My favorite group (US) with my favorite producers! It’s our 10 year anniversary and MICHAEL is an origin story so I wanted to start w/ El.”

“Don’t Let The Devil” arrives shortly after RTJ announced this fall’s 10-year anniversary run and the release of their Nike sneaker collab. The single is preceded by 2022’s “RUN” featuring Young Thug and “TALK’N THAT S###!” According to an interview with High Times, Run The Jewels 5 is nearing completion and should arrive sometime later this year. Michael, on the other hand, arrives on June 16. In the meantime, bump “Don’t Let The Devil” by Killer Mike above.

Rita Ora Talks Tapping MCU Filmmaker Taika Waititi To Direct “Praising You” Music Video

Marvel Cinematic Universe fans know Taika Waititi as the director responsible for creating Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder. Waititi is also the husband of British singer Rita Ora.

Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe caught up with Rita Ora to talk about her new single “Praising You” featuring Fatboy Slim. Additionally, the conversation included Ora discussing tapping Taika Waititi to direct the song’s official music video.

“I tried to call Spike Jones. He wasn’t available to be in the video, man. Taika is good seconds. I mean, I’ll take Taika. I’ll take him. It’s so cool to be able to collaborate with the ones that you actually respect. I really love Taika’s brain,” Rita Ora told Zane Lowe. “That’s what I really fell in love with. He teaches me things every day.”

Classic Musicals Inspired Rita Ora’s Latest Visuals

The 32-year-old R&B/Pop performer also added, “We were lying down and we were just hanging out watching a movie. I said, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool to do something like All That Jazz and Fame?’ And [Waititi] said, ‘Look, I would love that.'”

Rita Ora continued, “And then we came up with the whole idea and boom. We shot it all on film in one day in downtown LA. It was amazing to be able to work with him and make this mini-movie because it really is a mini-movie. Yeah. And having [Fatboy Slim] in the video too was a really good touch.”

Bob Fosse’s Oscar-winning All That Jazz musical drama hit American theaters in 1979. The teen musical Fame from 1980 led to a television spin-off version of the same name which ran for six seasons between 1982 and 1987.

Death Row Releases Snoop Dogg’s ‘Doggystyle’ As Limited Edition 4/20 Vinyl Box Set

April 20th serves as cannabis appreciation day for many marijuana enthusiasts around the world. Snoop Dogg fans can commemorate this year’s 4/20 by purchasing a limited edition of the rap superstar’s debut studio album.

Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle also celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2023. The Hip Hop classic debuted on November 23, 1993. Death Row Records and Gamma joined forces to present Doggystyle: The 4/20 Vinyl Box Set.

Released as a limited run of only 420 numbered copies, Doggystyle: The 4/20 Vinyl Box Set features a 16-page booklet with singles art from Joe Cool. Consumers will also receive exclusive Death Row rolling papers.

Death Row Signed A Licensing Agreement With Gamma

Snoop Dogg bought Death Row from MNRK Music Group in February 2022. Earlier this month, the legendary record label announced a partnership with Gamma that includes a long-term licensing agreement. Gamma now has the exclusive global rights to market and distribute the Death Row Records catalog.

“I bought my first album at 11 years old, with my allowance money. That album was Doggystyle. I was so worried about how explicit the cover was, that I hid it in my bedroom so my parents wouldn’t see it,” said Gamma Co-Founder/CEO Larry Jackson in a press release.

Jackson added, “The album’s music and its provocative cover left an indelible stamp on how I view Hip Hop. It is with profound pleasure that we are now partnering with Death Row Records, the greatest Hip Hop catalog of all time, and with my dear friend Snoop.”

Snoop Dogg Plans To Bring Death Row Back To The Forefront

Doggystyle debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 806,000 first-week units sold. The RIAA certified Doggystyle as 4x-Platinum in May 1994. The project hosts the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 singles “Who Am I? (What’s My Name?)” and “Gin and Juice.”

“I’m a visionary and so is Larry, and it’s only right that we come together to bring The Death Row Records catalog back to the forefront with Gamma, especially given it’s the 30th anniversary of Doggystyle,” said Snoop Dogg.

The Emmy Award winner continued, “It was important for me to get the business of the music right and take care of the creative forces behind it, before making it public again. The music we created is timeless and as relevant today as it was when we released it, and now the world is gonna enjoy it for generations to come. Death Row Bacc!”

Marques Houston Blames The Media For Backlash Over Marrying Teen Wife

Singer/actor Marques Houston will not stop responding to news reports about his marriage and views on women.

Marques Houston faced online backlash for marrying a then-19-year-old Miya Dickey. The former member of the Immature boy band was 39 years old at the time.

“Me and my wife’s situation is a little different, how we met through mutual friends and everything like that,” said Houston in a preview clip for an episode of TV One’s Uncensored television series.

The 41-year-old entertainer continued, “When I met my wife, she was 17. So, we had no real conversation, no real connection until, you know, she was of age.”

Marques Houston added more fuel to the fire after expressing his dislike for women with “funky attitudes.” He also suggested women his age are too “independent.”

Immature’s Jerome “Romeo” Jones came out to condemn his ex-bandmate’s comments. Romeo apologized for Houston’s “insensitive statements.”

In an Instagram Story posted overnight, Marques Houston fired back at his critics. Specifically, the Sister, Sister cast member took aim at unnamed media outlets for covering the story.

“To all my fans, supporters, and real truth seekers, I can see how the media would love to pin people against people for monetary gain,” wrote Houston.

He added, “But when [you’re] at peace, loving life, and able to still make a positive impact in the entertainment world for over 2 decades, it’s so easy to move out the way and let bottom feeders eat. #Protectyourpeace I LOVE YOU ALL!”

Papoose Reflects On 1.5 M Record Deal: The “Worst Mistake” Ever

While many emerging artists would have been happy to sign a seven-figure record deal, Papoose admitted signing the $ 1.5 million early in his career was the “worst mistake” he ever made.

The New York native signed his first major deal with Jive Records in 2007 after a few years of putting in work as a fresh emcee on the mixtape scene. Papoose reflected on the decision during a recent appearance on Big Boy’s Neighborhood

“It was the worst mistake I ever made in my life, taking that deal,” Papoose admitted during the candid discussion. “Because I was independent for so long. You gotta realize, I met Slay in ’04. We ain’t get a deal till ’07. We was working hard. Mixtape after mixtape after mixtape.”

According to Papoose, he received a lot of hate for working with the late DJ Kay Slay, which negatively impacted his career.

“My first single had Snoop Dogg on it, produced by Scott Storch,” Papoose added. “And they was like, ‘Okay, now we can finish him for real because if we don’t play this record he’s gonna look crazy.”

He continued, “And that’s what they did, long story short. A couple other bad situations, the deal folded. So I went back to the street.” Check out the clip below and watch the interview at the end of the page.

However, Papoose remained determined and continued to independently release music. His drive did not go unnoticed and helped snag him the role of head of Hip-Hop at TuneCore

“When hiring executives I look for expertise and experience,” TuneCore CEO Andreea Gleeson said in a statement. “Papoose’s years of hustling and success in the industry make him uniquely qualified to advise Hip-Hop artists because he’s been in their shoes, he understands what they’re going through and he knows first-hand what works.”

Blueface’s Mother Blasts The Rapper After He Calls Her “Weird” & “Strange”

The family feud involving Johnathan “Blueface” Porter and his mother continues to play out in public.

Blueface and Karlissa Saffold have clashed several times on social media. In particular, Saffold has been critical of her son’s relationship with Chrisean Rock. The latest round in their personal beef played out on Instagram last night.

Saffold shared a clip on her Instagram Story from Blueface’s recent interview with RapTV. During the sitdown, the “Thotiana” rapper made it clear he is not on good terms with his mom.

“F### that lady. I don’t have a mom. She’s weird. She’s strange. I don’t know what her motive is, her angle. I don’t know what she’s trying to accomplish with her outreaches,” said Blueface.

In addition to sharing a video of Blueface’s comments, Karlissa Saffold posted a series of messages denouncing her son. Those Instagram Stories of her essentially excommunicating the 26-year-old entertainer went viral on social media blogs.

“He said F his own son’s birthday and I’m strange, 😭,” wrote Saffold about Blueface. “Boy, I’m not even praying for you no more. Get someone else to do it.”

She then added, “[Blueface] don’t have a dad. He don’t have a BM. He don’t have a brother. He don’t have a sister. He don’t have a granny. He don’t have a friend. He don’t have a God. But I’m weird. Everyone else [is] the problem but you.”

Karlissa Saffold also posted, “This ninja said F everyone but the people who [are] leaching off him. You are the world’s biggest weirdo. When [they’re] done with you, I pray you ask God for forgiveness.”

Questlove, Halle Berry & More Demand Justice For Ralph Yarl

Multiple celebrities have joined the demands for justice for 16-year-old Ralph Yarl, who was shot in the head after knocking on the wrong door by mistake.

84-year-old white man Andrew Lester Yarl pleaded not guilty during a hearing Wednesday, per Associated Press. He was freed after posting a $20,000 bond.

Yarl was shot at point-blank range in the head and once in the arm after ringing Lester’s doorbell. He was picking up his younger twin brothers but arrived at the wrong address.

The Yarl family attorney is urging the Department of Justice to charge Lester with a hate crime. Lee Merritt said Yarl “was armed only with his Black skin.”

In the criminal Complaint, Lester said he did not want to shoot the Black teen but claimed: “He was ‘scared to death’ due to the male’s size.” The homeowner stated that Ralph Yarl was a “Black male approximately 6 feet tall,” several inches off Yarl’s actual height of 5 foot 8.

Prosecutors charged Lester with first-degree felony assault and first-degree armed criminal action. He faces life in prison if convicted.

Despite his injuries, the brave teenager is recovering after being released from the hospital Saturday. His attorney says it’s a “miracle” that the bullet in his head did not cause more extensive damage.”

Celebrities Demand Justice For Ralph Yarl

The shooting has caused widespread outrage across the nation, reigniting the national debate surrounding gun laws. Many Black parents around the country fear their child being perceived as older and a threat.

Talib Kweli took to Instagram to share his support for Ralph Yarl and pointed to the fears Black parents endure.

“This is what Black parents have to teach our children to watch out for and they still try to tell us we are lying about our experiences with racism. They still chastise us for saying our lives matter,” he penned in the caption of a video about the teen’s shooting a miraculous recovery.

Marques Houston Slammed By Former Bandmate Over Comments About Women

Marques Houston has come under fire over a number of interviews he gave discussing his teen wife.

Earlier this month, the Sister, Sister actor addressed the nearly 20-year age gap after marrying his wife when she was 19 and he was 38. Marques Houston says he met Miya Dickey when she was just 17 years. However, he claims the pair had “no real connection until, you know, she was of age.”

Following the interview, Marques Houston faced accusations of grooming the then-teenager. He then garnered further criticism when he attempted to address the backlash head-on.

In a follow-up interview, Marques Houston called single mothers a “red flag,” who often come with “baggage.” The 41-year-old also said he doesn’t like “women with funky attitudes,” and said most women his age are “very independent,” whereas he prefers to “provide for my wife.”

On Wednesday, Jerome Jones, aka “Romeo” of Immature fame, condemned his former bandmate’s remarks. He began by explaining he felt compelled to address the issue despite mourning the loss of his brother. Romeo apologized for the “insensitive statements,” saying, “It is never ok to degrade one group of women in order to praise another.”

He continued, declaring, “We were raised by a tribe of strong independent women,” before addressing the struggles and hardships women face. He also spoke on the specific pressures Black women encounter and pointed to “colorism in the entertainment industry.”

Romeo also highlighted the support of loyal Immature fans, “some who happen to now be hardworking single mothers.” He concluded by distancing himself from Marques Houston’s remarks: “His views do not reflect those of the group.”

Frank Ocean Cancels Upcoming Coachella Headline Set After “Chaotic” First Show

Frank Ocean will not return to the Coachella stage this weekend after receiving backlash over his first show, which was plagued with mishaps.

Critics and fans alike widely panned the Grammy Award-winner’s headline set on Sunday (Apr. 16) at the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

The R&B singer’s agency shared a statement confirming his withdrawal on Wednesday.

“Frank Ocean will not be performing at weekend 2 of Coachella,” Huxley confirmed, per NME.

The announcement confirmed reports that the original stage production featured an ice rink and skaters. The plan was supposedly canceled after Frank Ocean suffered an injury. Huxley’s statement backs up the speculation and says Frank scrapped his second set on doctor’s orders.

“After suffering an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1. Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity. On doctor’s advice, Frank Ocean is not able to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg.

Frank Ocean also shared his own statement, acknowledging the failings of last Sunday’s Coachella set.

“It was chaotic,’ he said before adding, “There is some beauty in chaos. It isn’t what I intended to show but I did enjoy being out there and I’ll see you soon.”

Coachella is yet to announce a replacement headliner, but sources suggest Blink-182 will step in.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Justin Bieber defended Frank Ocean, saying he was “blown away” buhs Coachella set.

Jonathan Majors Accuses Cops Of “Clearly Coaching” Girlfriend, Claims Video Will Clear Him Of Assault

Johnathan Majors claims he has video evidence and a witness that will clear him of assaulting his girlfriend amid reports that other alleged victims will testify against him.

The actor also claims that cops “coached” the woman into making the claim that Majors “grabbed her by the throat,” and that she went out clubbing after the alleged altercation, and video evidence will prove she was not injured.

TMZ reports Jonathan Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry says the driver of the vehicle where the altercation took place saw the alleged victim assault Majors “while she was attempting to steal his phone.”

In new court documents filed on Wednesday (Apr. 19), Jonathan Majors’ attorney says the driver will testify to seeing the woman “hitting, scratching, and attacking” Jonathan Majors and claims the actor never attacked her “in any way at any time.” He will also state Jonathan Majors never “even raised his voice” and asked the driver to stop the car so he could get away from the woman.

The alleged victim claims she suffered a broken finger and a laceration behind her ear during the incident. The lawyer says evidence will show that is a “complete lie.”

New Filing Claims Jonathan Majors’ Accuser Went Clubbing After Alleged Attack

Included in the new filing are CCTV screenshots of the alleged victim. Chaudhry says the images show the woman drunk while out partying after the alleged attack. The attorney claims the woman uses her hand throughout the night and appears uninjured.

They claim the woman texted Jonathan Majors during her night out, accusing him of being unfaithful and threatening suicide. The attorney says the alleged victim let herself into the actor’s apartment after she ended her night out. He was not home, and she called him over 30 times and sent him several angry texts.

According to the court filings, the woman does not accuse Jonathan Majors of assaulting her in any of the messages. She also does not mention any alleged injuries.

Chaudhry says Majors returned home shortly after 11 A.M. the following morning when he found her in his walk-in closet. The actor called paramedics. When they arrived, the woman allegedly stated she did not know what happened to her.

The attorney also states body cam footage of her police interview shows cops “clearly coaching her to say that Mr. Majors grabbed her by the throat.” According to the legal docs, this was the first time the alleged victim made that claim.

Jonathan Majors’ legal team also issued a statement following a report that more alleged abuse victims have come forward and are cooperating with the D.A.

“Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone. We have provided irrefutable evidence to the District Attorney that the charges are false. We are confident that he will be fully exonerated,” Chaudhry stated, per People

Jonathan Majors Has More Alleged Victims, New Report Says

It looks like Jonathan Majors will have more compelling evidence against him when he appears in court on May 8. Multiple alleged abuse victims are preparing to come forward to speak out against the superstar actor as he faces charges that he assaulted his girlfriend, according to a new report.

Sources with Variety magazine say that there are a number of previous alleged victims that are cooperating with the Manhattan district attorneys office.

The district attorney did not comment for this breaking story and Jonathan Majors did not comment on the record. Disney reps have not commented either.

Majors was arrested on March 25th in Manhattan and charged with multiple counts of assault and harassment allegedly involving a 30-year-old woman, presumed to be his girlfriend.

His lawyer has steadfastly denied the allegations against Majors.

The “Creed III” star has either been dropped or parted ways from a number of entities including Entertainment 360, his management team. The actor’s personal behavior was the reported reason for the severance and the recent case was not specified.

The Lede Company, his PR firm, has dropped him as well. Italian fashion house Valentino disinvited him to the glamorous Met Gala on May 1st.

GloRilla Sued By New Orleans Rap OG Over “Tomorrow” Sample

GloRilla faces a lawsuit accusing her of jacking a ‘90s New Orleans rap song for her hit single “Tomorrow.”

According to TMZ, Ivory “Mobo Joe” Paynes sued GloRilla for sampling Dog House Posse’s track “Street of the Westbank” without permission. Mobo Joe claimed “Tomorrow” features key parts of the Dog House Posse song.

Mobo Joe is best known as the founder of the New Orleans Hip-Hop label Mobo Records. Dog House Posse released their album Dope Gets No Heavier on Mobo Records in 1994.

GloRilla dropped the original version of “Tomorrow” in July 2022. It was featured on the Collective Music Group compilation Gangsta Art. Cardi B appeared on a remix titled “Tomorrow 2,” which arrived in September 2022.

“Tomorrow” was GloRilla’s first song to crack the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. It peaked at No. 9 on the chart. The single earned a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America in November 2022.

Mobo Joe’s lawsuit named GloRilla, producer Macaroni Toni, Collective Music Group, Warner Chappell Music and Sony/ATV Music as defendants. Cardi B wasn’t named in the complaint.

R. Kelly Blames Biased Jury & Bad Evidence For Sex Crimes Conviction In New York

R. Kelly appealed his conviction for sex trafficking and racketeering in New York.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, R. Kelly’s lawyer Jennifer Bonjean argued her client didn’t receive a fair trial in his appeal. The attorney cited several examples of how the disgraced singer was allegedly wronged by the government.

Bonjean claimed the jury wasn’t impartial. The lawyer said at least four jurors were unfit to serve in R. Kelly’s trial.

“Defendant is entitled to a new trial where the record shows that at a minimum, four of the seated jurors (Jurors 3, 4, 5, & 12) were not qualified to serve,” Bonjean wrote. “Two of them had watched the inflammatory, tabloid docuseries Surviving R. Kelly.”

She added, “Trial counsel’s performance was objectively unreasonable when he failed to move to disqualify patently unqualified jurors and failed to conduct any meaningful voir dire of prospective jurors who expressed their prejudgment of the case. Defendant was prejudiced by his counsel’s substandard performance where it resulted in the seating of at least four jurors who were actually biased and could not act with impartiality.”

Bonjean suggested much of the evidence against R. Kelly was insufficient. She also criticized the court for allowing “bad character evidence” to be presented at the trial.

“Defendant’s trial was engulfed by irrelevant and excessive bad character evidence that added little to the jury’s assessment of whether Defendant committed the charged offenses,” Bonjean wrote. “Indeed, the six-week trial was comprised overwhelmingly of uncharged bad act evidence that served no legitimate evidentiary purpose. With the court’s blessing, the government smuggled in a mass of repugnant conduct under the guise that the evidence demonstrated the ‘means and method’ of a non-existent enterprise.

She continued, “This case was not about an enterprise; it was about the conduct of one man who the government sought to punish for his alleged history of mistreating women. As such, the mountain of bad act evidence offered in this prosecution was nothing more than inadmissible and unduly prejudicial propensity evidence. Because Defendant was forced to defend against dozens of uncharged claims of abusive and sexual misbehavior – much of it lawful albeit unpalatable for some – Defendant was stripped of the presumption of innocence and denied a fair trial.”

A New York judge sentenced R. Kelly to 30 years in prison for his sex crimes. His appeal seeks to overturn his conviction or grant him a new trial.
