NLE Choppa Launching #SkateForTyre Foundation For Tyre Nichol’s Family

NLE Choppa announced his plans to launch the #SkateForTyre Foundation in aid of the family of Tyre Nichols after he was beaten to death by five Memphis cops. 

The “Do It Again” hitmaker held a peaceful protest in Memphis last weekend (Jan. 28) and invited everybody to skate in honor of avid skateboarder Tyre Nichols. He now plans to create a foundation around Tyre’s love of skating to raise funds for the murdered man’s family.  

NLE Choppa told TMZ that he learned to skate during last week’s protest and has been practicing every day since. He revealed his plans for the Skate For Tyre foundation to raise money for the family Tyre Nichols left behind. He specifically wants to support Tyre’s four-year-old son. 

The Memphis native shared his concern for how “traumatizing” it’s likely to be when the little boy views the brutal videos of cops beating his father to death.  

He also said the manner in which the bodycam video was released “like it was a Showtime fight night,” caused, “a lot of discomfort to my soul.” He called out the media for broadcasting graphic videos showing the killing of Black people at the hands of the police on primetime television.  

Meanwhile, CNN reports that an initial police report filed in the hours following the Tyre Nichols traffic stop contradicts the police bodycam footage. The report suggested Tyre was violent and “started to fight” with officers, even grabbing one of their guns. 

Despite the brutal beating witnessed in the bodycam videos, the report “did not mention the officers punching and kicking Nichols.” Tyre Nichols is reportedly identified as a suspect in an aggravated assault, even though the police footage does not appear to back that up.  

Drake Shows Love To Lil Yachty’s “Masterpiece” Album, ‘Let’s Start Here.’

Drake gave Lil Yachty’s new album Let’s Start Here. a hefty co-sign, offering his seal of approval and adding to the rave reviews of the project.  

The Quality Control artist shared his new “non-rap” LP last week (Jan. 28), which saw Lil Yachty explore a fresh sound.  

Drake took to his Instagram Stories to praise the album, sharing a review that declared the album a “masterpiece.” The project was given an 11/10 overall rating, and all 14 songs were labelled “perfect’ or better. The reviewer also listed the songs in order of greatness. The top 5 tracks were “Reach the Sunshine,” “I’ve Officially Lost Vision!!!!,” “The Black Seminole,” “The Alchemist,” and “We Saw the Sun!” 

Drake Thanks Lil Yacthy For His Friendship

Drake and Lil Yachty are close friends and frequently collaborate. Last November, Drizzy praised Lil Boat after dropping Her Loss, his joint album with 21 Savage, thanking him for his contributions to the project.  

“WHERE WOULD I BE WITHOUT OUR FRIENDSHIP @lilyachty I LOVE YA KID THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME YOUR INCREDIBLE TALENT AND YOUR ADLIB GAME,” Drake wrote on Instagram Stories. 

Yachty, who got a tattoo featuring Drake’s signature OVO owl mascot for his 25th birthday, selected the striking cover art. He also produced a number of the 16 tracks, including “Jumbotron S### Poppin” and “P#### & Millions,” and performed the ad-libs throughout “BackOutsideBoyz.” 

In addition, Lil Yachty makes a cameo alongside Drake in the video for Her Loss cut, “Rich Flex.” He also pops up with Drake and Popcaan in the visuals for their “We Caa Done” collab. The pair joined forces for Yachty’s 2021 hit “Oprah’s Bank Account.” 

As well as receiving the Drizzy co-sign, Let’s Start Here. has been well-received by fans and critics alike. Questlove gave the record 24 hours and three listens before sharing a glowing review. The legendary Roots drummer said it got him “hyped” about the future of music. Stream it below.

Snoop Dogg Celebrates Lakers Win But Blames Team For Bad Nerves & High Blood Pressure

Snoop Dogg is celebrating after his beloved Los Angeles Lakers beat the New York Knicks 129-123 in overtime on Tuesday night (Jan. 31). 

 The Los Angeles legend was all smiles as Lebron James recorded his first triple-double of the season to lead the Lakers to victory on his return to Madison Square Garden. Despite his criticism of the team’s performance in the 2022-23 NBA season, Snoop Dogg was a happy man following the win.  

He took to Instagram after the game with a video congratulating the team, but also insisting they find a way to win.  

“You know what that smile means,” the Doggfather said in the clip. “The Lakers Win! Yes! We find a way!” 

Nonetheless, According to Snoop, the Lakers are affecting his health, and he urged them to up their game. 

“G##### y’all got my nerves bad and my blood pressure high, godammit. Figure it out and start winning every night g########. I’m too old for this s###,” the 51-year-old Hip-Hop icon added.

Earlier this month, Snoop Dogg expressed his frustrations with the Lakers and their injury-ridden star big man Anthony Davis.  

A Lakers fan page shared an image that said LeBron James and AD are the best duo in the league. However, Snoop Dogg questioned the post and said he was “losing faith.”

This time last year, Snoop Dogg revealed Anthony Davis unfollowed him on Instagram after the Death Row honcho was critical of the athlete’s injury-riddled season.

Latto Shares New Song Snippet, Teases The Arrival Of “Pop Latto”

A day after trying to offload her used panties on eBay in response to a troll’s comment about her re-wearing them, Latto is teasing new music and a new sound! 

The “Big Energy” hitmaker has been getting busy in the studio, although now, she’s departing from her usual sound and dropping a pop record. Latto took to social media with the announcement on Tuesday (Jan. 30) while sharing a snippet of the new tune. 

The preview comes by way of a teaser video featuring Latto and two friends dancing in the studio to the song. The gal pals shower Latto with cash as she playfully dances around the studio while filming herself via camcorder.

Latto Changed Her Name To Represent “Good Fortune”

The Atlanta rapper sings about winning the lotto-ry in the pop track and has previously explained that she changed her former rap name from Mulatto to Latto to represent good fortune.  

“Latto is like ‘Lotto,’ but my little twist on it,” she explained to Billboard last May, shortly after the change. “It’s good fortune — I got “777” tatted on me. I live this.” 

She clarified why she changed her name from the racial slur used to describe multiracial children during slavery. 

“Mulatto was a negative term that I was trying to make positive,” Latto stated. “We’re gonna start positive, and I feel like that’s gonna bring that energy my way. I feel like, in a way, that could’ve been holding me back, and I don’t want to attach that to myself anymore.” 

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Latto put a pair of cheetah-print panties up for auction on eBay after a fan comment. However, despite receiving bids of almost $100,000, the auction site removed the listing as Latto’s dirty underwear fell afoul of the health and hygiene policy.

Is Amber Rose About To Write A Tell-All Book?

Personally, I don’t think Amber Rose is the new Superhead, but it almost gets you to thinking that she is because of her most recent claim. She went online and ranted about the treatment of women. I think, specifically she was talking about the treatment of Amber Rose. I could be wrong.

At any rate, she seems very upset about some of the subsequent criticism of comments she’s made recently. And I’m not sure if she’s equipped to handle the current iteration of the Internet. It’s a cold world out here and it seems like she may not be prepared for it. Remember, she came out earlier, primarily through her relationship with Kanye West. And then she exploded as a sensation and sex symbol. I find her quite attractive myself, but at the same time she has to do better if she’s gonna make it for the rest of her life.

Amber Rose hosted a weekly late-night talk show in 2016. Illseed believes she can hustle another show.

I don’t know exactly what Amber Rose has planned for her own future, but it sounds like she might be threatening to write a book. The reason I say threatening is because of some of the language she’s used. The last time I recall a threat in terms of book written by a women, was when Superhead wrote her book as Karrine Steffans. Now we know that Karrine Steffens was around the “town” in a way that Amber Rose was not. Honestly, Amber Rose seems to be a nice Philly girl that got caught up in Hollywood aka Hollyweird. And, quite possibly, is now in over her head. I don’t know.

One thing seems to be for sure is that she is not happy with how things are manifesting for her right now. So this threat of making a beeline into offering a book seems to be a move to shake people up. It could be a move to get money, or it could be a move to get relevance. It doesn’t seem like she really wants to write a book. It seems more like she wants to respond to the negativities that she has encountered through her life. Whether that’s Wiz Khalifa or Kanye West, or her last dude that bounced on her. Or quite frankly, it could be the Internet. I don’t know!

Nevertheless, I don’t want another deep expose about rapper stuff myself. I’d prefer if she wrote a book that was fictional or something for the lifetime channel.

I think she can manifest this in a number of ways. One way I don’t want to hear about is Kanye‘s sex life, for example. We have heard enough expose sort of articles, and we don’t need it! God bless her and her kid, but there’s got to be a better way.

Latto’s Dirty Panties Too Much For eBay

No one won the bidding war for Latto’s panties due to eBay’s used clothing policy.

Latto put her cheetah-print underwear up for auction on eBay with one person offering close to $100,000 for the panties. The listing was taken down by eBay, which doesn’t allow used clothing to be sold on its platform.

“Used underwear and socks are not allowed,” eBay notes on its site. “Other used clothing must follow our policy. We have a used clothing policy so buyers can be confident they’ll get clean, stain-free items when they buy on eBay. Health and hygiene is also one of our top priorities, so our policy outlines why certain items can’t be sold on the site.”

Latto created the eBay auction in response to a Twitter user, who trolled her for wearing the same pair of panties at least twice. The RCA Records rapper responded to the tweet on Sunday (January 29).

“Oh no, it’s the panty police,” she wrote via Twitter.

Latto launched the auction for her used panties, joking that she “can’t wear them twice” on Monday (January 30). She advertised the underwear “as seen on Latto multiple times” in a description on Instagram. She also made the panties her profile picture on social media.

Drake & OVO Enlist Lil Wayne To Unveil NFL Collab Ahead Of Super Bowl

Lil Wayne helped Drake promote OVO’s new NFL-licensed capsule collection.

Drake’s OVO brand and the NFL revealed their merch collaboration on Tuesday (January 31). The limited-edition collection includes t-shirts, hoodies and jackets featuring team colors and logos along with the signature OVO owl.

Lil Wayne previewed the collection by wearing OVO’s gear for his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. Benny the Butcher also modeled the OVO collection and represented his hometown team, the Buffalo Bills.

Drake and OVO’s NFL-licensed apparel drops on Friday (February 3). The items will be available to purchase online at NFLShop.com, NFLShop.ca and OctobersVeryOwn.com. Fans can buy the apparel in person at the OVO store.

The NFL’s collaboration with Drake comes a year after Hip-Hop was in the spotlight of Super Bowl LVI. Dr. Dre performed alongside Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent as part of the game’s halftime show.

Rihanna graces the stage at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show in Arizona. NFL fans will be tuned in to see the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in the final game of the season.

Chelsea Soccer Star Under Fire For Rapping “N-Word” In A Lil Baby Song

There are rules. True, some are meant to be broken. But one particular rule is non-negotiable, and Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk is under fire for breaking it. In July 2022, the very white Mudryk posted a TikTok video of himself shouting the “n-word” while rapping along to a 2017 freestyle by Lil Baby, which was recently leaked online. Naturally, Mudryk was chastised for using the racial slur.

In fact, the Chelsea Dodgers tweeted on Tuesday (January 31) that “The Football Association has opened an investigation into a video which showed Mykhailo Mudryk using the N-word in a TikTok video. Mudryk was reciting a 2017 freestyle rap by American artist Lil baby which contained the N-word.”

Kick It Out, soccer’s leading football anti-racism group, said: “We condemn the use of all racial slurs, including the N-word irrespective of context. The N-word is deeply offensive and the use of this term by high-profile figures in football can only serve to alienate people from the game.”

Mudryk’s team issued a response and apologized for his actions, writing, “It is important that footballers use their significant platform in a positive way, and we’re encouraged to see that Mudryk has acknowledged the hurt caused by his use of this offensive slur. Mykhailo is deeply sorry for any offense caused by the video posted on his TikTok account last July.

“Whilst his intention was solely to recite lyrics of a song, Mykhailo regrets his decision and wholeheartedly accepts it was not appropriate. The video has since been removed.”

Lyrics or not, white people are not allowed to use that word—ever. No exceptions.

Michigan Rappers Go Missing For Days After Canceled Show In Detroit

Police are searching for three Michigan-based rappers who’ve been missing for more than a week.

Armani Kelly, 28, Montoya Givens, 31, and Dante Wicker, 31, were scheduled to perform at Lounge 31 in Detroit on January 21. No one has heard from the rappers since their club gig was canceled that same day.

“We just have a whole lot of unanswered questions that we’re trying to find the answer to,” Detroit Police Commander Michael McGinnis said. “The fact that the three of them are missing together is very concerning and very alarming for us.”

McGinnis noted, “It’s our understanding that the performance got canceled, and from there, we just have a whole lot of unanswered questions that we are trying to find out.”

Kelly’s mother Lorrie Kemp was the first to file a missing person’s report. She used a tracking service to find his vehicle in Warren, a city outside of Detroit.

A multi-agency search began once Givens and Wicker’s families reported them missing. Police from Detroit, Melvindale, Oscoda and Warren are looking into the disappearance of the rappers.

“I just beg for help, for anything,” Kelly’s fiancée Taylor Perrin said, per the Associated Press. “I need answers. And if it comes to it, I need closure, because I will never forget and I will never stop.”

Police encourage anyone with information about the missing rappers to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

Just Leave Jonah Hill & Lauren London Alone

Lauren London and Jonah Hill play star-crossed lovers in the new Netflix film, You People—at least at first. Without ruining the movie, Eddie Murphy, who plays London’s father, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, in the role of Hill’s mother, make it nearly impossible for their relationship to work and chaos ensues. (Just keeping watching.)

Anyway, the film’s synopsis revolves around the complications that arise when an interracial couple falls in love. But for some reason, certain people refuse to believe someone like Hill could woo a woman like London. Not because Hill is white and Jewish and London is Black (whose biological father is also white and Jewish, by the way)—but because of his looks.

Following the January 20 premiere of the film, Twitter blew up with reactions like:

Obviously, conclusions like this are cruel and unnecessary. Hill, for one, is hilarious. He’s smart. Driven. Successful. And has great taste in Hip-Hop. Period. He’s also fought like hell to get in shape over the years, which in Hollywood, has to suck. Through it all, he remains personable and kind.

Imagine how he would feel if he actually looked at Twitter (which he actually swore off to focus on his mental health) and saw all the nasty comments. Thankfully, there are even more people standing up for Hill, who deserves that and then some. Frankly, fxxk people who judge others solely based on their appearance and have been brainwashed by what society deems attractive. Grow up.

On that note, let’s applaud those who actually had something nice to say about Jonah Hill and Lauren London. On-screen chemistry or not, let’s not pretend like their attraction to each other is impossible. In fact, just leave them alone.

Will Smith Finally Reveals Fate Of ‘Bad Boys 4’

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back for a fourth Bad Boys film.

The two announced the franchise’s continuation via social media on Tuesday (January 31). Sony Pictures confirmed Bad Boys 4 is in early pre-production.

“It’s about that time!” Will Smith declared in a video. “It’s official, y’all.”

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah return to direct Bad Boys 4 after helming 2020’s Bad Boys for Life. Chris Bremner, who wrote Bad Boys for Life, reunites with the directors to pen the fourth movie’s script.

Last year, reports claimed the Bad Boys franchise was put on hold due to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards. Sony chairman Tom Rothman denied halting the development over the infamous slap.

“That was inaccurate,” he told Deadline in 2022. “That movie’s been in development and still is. There weren’t any brakes to pump because the car wasn’t moving. That was a very unfortunate thing that happened, and I don’t think it’s really my place to comment, except to say that I’ve known Will Smith for many years, and I know him to be a good person. That was an example of a very good person having a very bad moment, in front of the world. I believe his apology and regret is genuine, and I believe in forgiveness and redemption.”

The Bad Boys franchise began in 1995. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence play detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, respectively, in the films.

EXCLUSIVE: SleazyWorld Go Under Investigation For Weapon Possession, Warrant Issued For DNA

Bubbling rapper, SleazyWorld Go, could be in some serious trouble. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, the Island Records artist is currently under investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agency. Task Force Officer Nicholas Horine recently applied for a search warrant to collect DNA from the 24-year-old for comparison to evidence in an on-going federal investigation. SleazyWorld Go stands accused of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition as well as an unregistered machine gun.

The Kansas City native, who was convicted of armed robbery in 2016 and is allegedly affiliated with the Brotherland Gang (BLG), has been under surveillance for months following his 2020 release from prison. In July 2022, the ATF received an anonymous tip from someone who had two photographs of the rapper holding a gun. Consequently, investigators began staking out SleazyGo World’s residence using pole cameras and other devices.

In October 2022, federal search warrants were executed on his Facebook and Instagram accounts. The content reviewed includes multiple drug transactions, both buying and selling; the purchase and
possession of multiple firearms; and the purchase and possession of multiple full-auto machine gun
conversion devices or “Switches.” Multiple photos and videos also show him in possession of up to 21 firearms at a time.

SleazyGo World and a friend were also followed by investigators as they drove from Kansas City, Missouri to Kansas City, Kansas and back to the rapper’s residence. Both were observed handling weapons.

“Due to [SleazyGo World’s] open possession of firearms despite his status as a convicted felon,
the presence of several armed gang members from the SleazyWorld/Brotherland Gangs, and the
knowledge known to ATF personnel that the members of the gangs are associated with gun
violence, drug sales, and illegally modified fully automatic firearms, investigators determined
enforcement action was appropriate,” the docs read. “ATF personnel contacted tactical officers of the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department Special Operations Unit.

“Upon arrival of tactical officers from the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department, ISAAC and his associates fled on foot inside the townhome residence located at […] in an effort to elude detention by law enforcement.”

SleazyGo World refused to let the officers search his vehicle for weapons, so they wound up breaking a window to gain access. Once inside, they discovered multiple firearms, including an AK-47 style rifle, two AK-47 style “Draco” pistols and a black Glock pistol with a loaded extended magazine and an affixed “Glock switch.” Multiple rounds of various ammunition were found as well. Now, his case is in the hands of Honorable Lajuana M. Counts of the Western District of Missouri.

It looks like a new Michael Jackson movie on the way. Recently we have seen an influx of biotic movies with the likes of Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston, Freddie Mercury, Elton John, N.W.A., and others get their own movie. We’ve seen so much in real life about Michael Jackson that I wasn’t sure we would ever get a movie. Remember, we got the Prince story way back in the day. “Purple Rain!”

Anyway, there appears to be a brand new Michael Jackson biopic in the works. Antoine Fuqua is on the case, and a recent Instagram post revealed that JaaFar, who happens to be MJ‘s nephew, will play the late King of Pop.

He looks like his uncle and he even performs and sings. This is destined to be controversial, because Michael Jackson live such a controversial life. I am interested in seeing what form they will assume to adopt his story. This is not the first time Michael Jackson’s life, or portions of it, have been brought to the silver screen however, I do feel like this will be the first definitive version of his life. As you may know, MJ was born in 1958 in Gary, Indiana. He was a part of the Jackson 5, a musical group of prodigies that won numerous accolades in music. Michael Jackson, as a solo artist, rose even higher, and saw him a part of the megastar phenomenon that crescendoed in the 1980s and 90s.

Right now, there is a title for the movie and it’s simply called “Michael.” According to reports, this “Michael” movie will address everything in his life, including the child, sexual abuse allegations. There’s no exact date, but shying away from that would have done a disservice to the critical public. At the same time, Elvis did not address linking with his future wife when she was a mere 14. So, let’s talk about it.

There’s no release date yet but production is expected to start sometime this year.

Is GloRilla a member of the illuminati? What a weird question, right? That’s exactly what the Internet is asking after the newly minted superstar rapper decided to post a recent photo shoot. In that photo, she had a number of markings and tattoos on her, as well as some rings that said “Big Glo.” This led for many to assume that she is making a statement about her newfound status.

As you probably know, the Illuminati has been a shadowy figure in America and internationally as well. It has often times represented all that is wrong with our entertainment in our music. But, most people don’t go around blatantly advertising any sort of membership to the illuminati. It’s hidden in plain sight and others say it’s a bunch of garbage.

Nonetheless, Glo really is probably the least likely to be a member of this elite clandestine force that many say controls what we see and hear. They also neglect to say that the illuminati is often times affiliated with global politics and other such matters. A little ol’ rapper from Memphis graduating to the Big I already? That’s like me playing center for the Lakers!

Nevertheless, the chatter must’ve gotten to the rapper, because she shut it down quickly. Now I’m not going to publish where I believe the commentary originated, but I am more than happy to show you what I believe she said in response to it.

“Baby y’all need to be worried bout dat pwussy y’all selling & not me eyes ea (e) (edamn I can’t show my rings off ??????? Y’all gotta chill out with da delusional s###,” she said. “Selling rotel plates but worried bout me & my damn soul tf.”

In my view, she is definitely talking about the accusations! They might have witches in Memphis, but she ain’t one with the Illuminati.


Lil Wayne Announces ‘Welcome To Tha Carter Tour’

Rapper and music mogul Lil Wayne is gearing up to go on tour.

The New Orleans native announced the “Welcome to Tha Carter Tour 2023” presented by Young Money, Rolling Loud and Live Nation.

According to the announcement, the 28-city tour will kick off this Spring at the historic Fillmore theater in Minneapolis on Tuesday, Apr. 4, and will touch two different North American countries, the United States and Canada.

Tickets are set to go on sale on Friday, Feb. 3 around 10 A.M. EST on Lilwayneofficial.com.

News of his tour has been shared days before

The tour announcement comes ahead of The Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective pre-GRAMMY event. At this soiree, the chart-topper will receive the prestigious Global Impact Award, honoring his dynamic personal and professional achievements in the industry, accomplished since he was a teen with Cash Money (including making “Bling Bling” a commonplace term in the English lexicon).

“Diddy Don’t Do Jingles” – New Uber One Commercial Features Speechless Puff Daddy

Music executive and all-around Hip-Hop icon, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs is teaming up with Uber to do a cool commercial for the Super Bowl.  

In the teaser, advertising executives are pitching a commercial for their new service Uber One to a relaxed Combs, bossed up in his Combs Enterprise office, with a bodyguard/ spokesperson responding to their request for him.

As the executives say, they would like a song for Uber’s upcoming campaign, the intimidating representative says, “Diddy don’t do jingles.”

They try to convince him that Uber doesn’t want a jingle, ultimately saying the company wants a “hit.”

In a dry tone, the muscle says, “Diddy does do hits,” with the Bad Boy mogul smiling— before getting up to take a call.

Danielle Hawley, Global Executive Creative Director, explained why the company is going all out for the Super Bowl spot, according to USA Today.

“As the only global company that helps you go anywhere and get anything, our membership program is the best way to save,” she said. “We want people to remember that, so for this year’s Super Bowl ad, we set out to help everyone get Uber One stuck in their heads — and what better way to do that than with a hit song?”

The commercial will not just feature Mr. Take That, Take That.

According to Hawley, “Uber “paired some of the biggest hitmakers of all time with one of the most esteemed producers in the game to help Uber One catch on.”

QC Accuses Offset Of Breaching Legal Agreement

It appears the legal drama between Kiari “Offset” Cephus and Quality Control Music is not over. A new report claims Capitol Music Group-backed QC wants a judge to drop Cephus’s lawsuit against the company.

According to RadarOnline, Offset sued Quality Control to prevent the record label from receiving revenue for his solo work. The Migos member released the singles “54321” and “Code” in 2022 via Motown Records.

Offset supposedly negotiated a settlement with Quality Control Music in January 2021. The 31-year-old Georgia native contends the deal gave him ownership rights to his own recordings and songwriting credits.

Offset & QC’s Pierre “P” Thomas Clashed On Social Media

Quality Control believes Offset does not own the recordings released by Motown – such as “54321” and “Code” – which negates his lawsuit. QC also argued that Set breached the settlement agreement by violating the confidentiality provision.

Offset dropped “Code” featuring Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo on August 26, 2022. That collaboration arrived two days after Offset called out QC co-founder Pierre “P” Thomas for addressing the lawsuit on social media.

“N##### act like I’m the problem. I paid millions to get my rights back. N####, you blackballed me. I ain’t said s### one time, homie. I ain’t spoke to you in 2 years, now I drop and you want ya name on my credit?” tweeted Offset in response to a now-deleted tweet by P.

Offset Is Still Mourning The Loss Of Takeoff

The latest round in the legal fight between Offset and Quality Control Music comes after the tragic killing of fellow Migos member Kirsnick “Takeoff” Ball. There also seemed to be a personal falling out among the Migos trio at some point over the last several years.

“The pain you have left me with is unbearable,” posted Offset on Instagram about Takeoff dying. “My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words. I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare.”

Offset has taken the death of his groupmate/family member Takeoff extremely hard. In December, the Father of 4 album creator admitted to being in a “dark place” following Takeoff’s passing. Last week, Set tweeted, “🚀 come back bra!”

Ice Spice Earns First Hot 100 Chart Entry With “Gangsta Boo” Featuring Lil Tjay

Ice Spice already had the New York Times declaring her as “Hip Hop’s New Princess” earlier this month. Plus, Vevo and Spotify named her as a music act to watch for in 2023.

The Bronx-bred rapper now has her first Billboard Hot 100 hit. “Gangsta Boo” featuring fellow New Yorker Lil Tjay debuted at #82 on the latest Hot 100 chart. The track lives on the recently released Like..? EP.

Ice Spice named her song after the late Lola “Gangsta Boo” Mitchell. The Three 6 Mafia member passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 43. Spice spoke about creating the record with Lil Tjay as a guest feature.

“I made the song, and then I was just thinking who I would hear on it really. But I wanted it to be a real genuine collab,” said Ice Spice in an interview. “We’ve been friends since last year, so I was just like, ‘Yeah, who better than him?'”

The former State University of New York at Purchase student added, “We’re both from the Bronx. I made the song before [Gangsta Boo] passed. Right before, actually. So, yeah. That was a really sad, very exact coincidence.”

Ice Spice’s Like..? EP also hosts “Bikini Bottom,” “Munch (Feelin’ U),” and “In Ha Mood.” The latter two songs made it onto Billboard‘s Bubbling Under Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. “Gangsta Boo” also charted on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs rankings.

Lola Brooke Joins A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s International Tour

Rising Brooklyn rap star Lola Brooke will take part in her first international tour as a supporting act for Bronx-bred rhymer A Boogie wit da Hoodie.

The “Me Vs Myself Tour” kicks off on February 7 in Denver. A Boogie wit da Hoodie and Lola Brooke will head back to their hometown of New York City for the final North American stop at the Barclays Center on March 4.

After crisscrossing America, the United Kingdom leg of the “Me Vs Myself Tour” begins on March 22 at O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, England. The March 23rd show in Birmingham and March 24th show in London are already sold out.

A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s Me vs. Myself studio LP came out on December 9, 2022. The album became A Boogie’s fourth Top 10 entry on the Billboard 200 chart. He previously peaked at No. 1 with 2019’s Hoodie SZN.

Legendary Rapper Lil Kim Brought Out Lola Brooke At Her NYC Concert

Lola Brooke made waves in Hip Hop circles thanks to the “Don’t Play With It” single featuring Billy B. The Arista Records-signed artist also linked with Flo Milli and Maiya The Don for the official “Conceited” remix.

Lola Brooke followed up the success of “Don’t Play With It” by dropping the “Here I Come” track. That song’s official music video is closing in on 1 million views on YouTube. Plus, “Here I Come” surpassed 1 million streams on Spotify.

In recent weeks, Brooke received a major co-sign when fellow Brooklynite and rap legend Lil Kim invited the up-and-comer to perform at the Harlem Festival Of Culture The Jump Off With Lil Kim And Friends 2023 event at the Apollo Theater.
