Black Eyed Peas Hit At Center Of $10M Lawsuit Over “My Poops” Jingle

Black Eyed Peas released “My Humps” in 2005. The single became a massive hit, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and selling more than two million copies. Now, it’s at the center of a multi-million dollar lawsuit. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, BMG Rights Management is suing toy company MGA Entertainment for committing “a tortious act of copyright infringement.” BMG claims the company stole the bones of “My Humps” for a jingle called “My Poops” to promote its Poopsie Slime Surprise product line.

They also cite an accompanying YouTube visual as the “Infringing Video” and a dancing unicorn toy. The docs read: “The Infringing Video was distributed on YouTube and elsewhere. Defendant also incorporated the Infringing Work into its physical Dancing Unicorn Toys. The Dancing Unicorn Toys start to play and dance to a copy of the Infringing Work when a heart-shaped bellybutton on the front of the toy is pressed.

“As a key marketing component for its Poopsie Slime Surprise product line, Defendant also placed a sticker on the packaging of the Dancing Unicorn Toy specifically directing consumers to ‘dance to’ the ‘My Poops’ song and Infringing Video on YouTube.”

BMG maintains it never granted MGA Entertainment a valid license to “use, copy, distribute, make a derivative work from or otherwise exploit the musical composition ‘My Humps.'” They are seeking at least $10 million in damages. The company is also asking for legal fees and an additional $150,000 in statutory damages.

The question remains: “What you gonna do with all that poop?”

Trina Opens Up About Three Miscarriages

When it comes to Trina, most people understand that she is the baddest b##ch in Hip-Hop, but few understand that she has also experienced her own degree of trauma.

One deep-seated pain that the Miami native shared with the world on an upcoming episode of “Caresha Please” hosted by Yung Miami is the reason why she never had children.

She talked about maternal health and having three different miscarriages.

“Well, after three miscarriages, I would’ve had three kids. That was a lot for me…The first one was — I don’t think I understood it too much [because] I was younger. Then once I got older, there was the next one I was like ‘okay, what does that mean? What does the miscarriage mean?’ Like I just didn’t really get it.”

She also said after her mother transitioned, she didn’t want to have a child if her mom would not be around to be a grandmother to her offspring.

There were other things that the two spoke about, including having sex for beats, her relationship with Lil Wayne, why Trick Daddy needs to be quiet, how long a man needs to pleasure her before she is satisfied in bed and more.

Regina King Celebrates Her Son’s ‘Worth Day’

Academy Award-winning actress and former child star Regina King took to social media to remember her son, Ian Alexander, Jr. who died by suicide last year.

She acknowledged his “Worth Day,” the day that he would have turned 27 had he lived, with a beautiful flying lantern in the sky.

King captioned her post, “January 19th is Ian’s Worthday. As we still process his physical absence, we celebrate his presence. We are all in different places on the planet…so is Ian.”

Adding, “His spirit is the thread that connects us. Of course, orange is your favorite color…Its the fire and the calm. I see you in everything I breath. My absolute favorite thing about myself is being ….Regina the mother of Ian the GodKing. Continue to shine bright, my guiding light.”

While many commented on her post (like Tracee Ellis Ross, Yvonne Oriji, Niecy Nash, and more), Ava DuVernay dropped an excerpt from a poem entitled “Oranges” by Roisin Kelly that seemed to capture the love and the ache of what might have been on her beloved GodKing’s heart.

“I’ll choose for myself next time who I’ll reach out and take as mine, in the way I might stand at a fruit stall having decided to ignore the apples, the mangoes, and the kiwis. But hold my hands above a pile of oranges as if to warm my skin before a fire.”

Like always, AllHipHop.com is wishing peace to this family as they push through this season. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

Pee Diddy Trends And All Mayhem Breaks Loose

Where is the bottom!? I have no idea. I woke up, “logged on,” and saw that “Pee Diddy” was trending. Immediately, I made this face.

And then, you know I had to look. And then I did this:

Yes, yes y’all. This is where we are. Caresha did an interview with Trina and they proceed to talk about “golden showers.” And we know that Yung Miami is “dating” Sean Diddy Combs aka P. Diddy. The “P” used to be for “Puffy,” but now it has a new meaning. PEE. I hate that I am even typing this! At any rate, this chick really, really likes taking golden showers. And, in turn suggested that Diddy does too.

And then it all hell broke loose on Twitter and IG.

I am not somebody that has been “educated” on how and why this is so appealing to some people. So, here’s the clip. Where is Queen Latifah or Lauryn Hill?

By the way, this is a real thing. They call it “water play” in the serious world. WOW.

By the way, I need Caresha to change the spelling of her name to Careesha.

Producer DJ Dahi Reacts To Kendrick Lamar’s Tracks Getting Leaked

Hip Hop superstar Kendrick Lamar is the latest recording artist to be the victim of a leak. Apparently, unreleased tracks from the pgLang frontman unexpectedly landed on Spotify this week.

According to reports, the three Kendrick Lamar leaked songs –  titled “Pure,” “Make Me Happy” and “Computer Love” – came out of the Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers recording sessions.

DJ Dahi co-produced several songs off Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, including “Die Hard,” “Father Time,” and “Rich Spirit.” Lamar’s longtime musical collaborator addressed the recent unauthorized releases.

“Why are y’all leaking s### from 4 years ago??? We didn’t even bounce these records out. These K-Dot records are strictly demos. Y’all really dying of thirst out here lol,” posted DJ Dahi on his Instagram Story.

Kendrick Lamar included the track “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst” on his classic 2012 album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. The Compton emcee’s major label debut studio LP has spent over 10 years on the Billboard 200 chart.

Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers also found commercial and critical success. Lamar’s fifth studio album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in May 2022. Mr. Morale amassed over one billion streams on Spotify.

In addition, Kendrick Lamar earned Best Rap Album and Album Of The Year nominations at the forthcoming 65th Annual Grammy Awards. The 35-year-old Pulitzer Prize winner’s “The Heart Part 5” single earned five Grammy nods as well.

Yung Miami Responds To Backlash For Saying She Enjoys Golden Showers

The BET Hip Hop Awards named Caresha “Yung Miami” Brownlee’s Caresha Please as a co-winner in last year’s Best Hip Hop Platform category. Caresha Please kicked off 2023 with an internet-breaking installment.

Following her headline-generating interview with G Herbo in December 2022, Yung Miami booked veteran rapper Trina for the new January 19-dated episode. However, Miami became a trending topic afterward.

The latest Caresha Please included Yung Miami and Trina playing Resha Roulette which required the two stars to answer personal questions about themselves. The City Girl member discussed a specific sex act during the explicit drinking game.

“It says take a shot if you like golden showers. I do,” admitted Yung Miami on the show. The City Girls member also added, “I just like it. I don’t know, it just does something to me.”

Miami’s admission of enjoying p-play gained the attention of many social media users. People online then began criticizing Caresha and cracking urine jokes at her expense. The podcast host addressed the negative reactions on Twitter.

“Y’all know [I don’t give a f###]!” tweeted Yung Miami overnight. Plus, the “Act Up” hitmaker posted, “Resha Roulette ain’t for the weak 🫣.” The Trina edition of Caresha Please collected over 430,000 YouTube views in under 10 hours.

Ice Spice Talks Collaborating With Lil Tjay For “Gangsta Boo” Single

Both Ice Spice and Lil Tjay have been in the news in recent days. New York City police officers arrested Tjay on January 16 as the Bronx native was on his way to shoot a music video with Ice Spice.

Earlier this week, authorities released Lil Tjay on bail for his gun charge. Meanwhile, Ice Spice released her 6-track Like..? EP today (January 20). Like..? hosts the “Gangsta Boo” single featuring Tjay.

Ebro Darden caught up with Ice Spice to discuss her new collaboration for Apple Music 1’s New Music Radio. The 23-year-old Bronx-bred rapper shouted out the late Lola “Gangsta Boo” Mitchell.

“So Gangsta Boo’s fire. RIP Gangsta Boo, too. Feel me?” Spice told Ebro Darden during their interview. The Three 6 Mafia member passed away on January 1 at the age of 43.

Ice Spice also explained why she chose Lil Tjay as a guest feature for her “Gangsta Boo” record. Apparently, the two East Coast representatives built a personal relationship throughout 2022.

“I made the song, and then I was just thinking who I would hear on it really. But I wanted it to be a real genuine collab,” said Spice. “We’ve been friends since last year, so I was just like, ‘Yeah, who better than him?'”

The 10K Projects/Capitol Records recording artist continued, “We’re both from the Bronx. I made the song before she passed. Right before, actually. So, yeah. That was a really sad, very exact coincidence.”

Additionally, Ice Spice’s Like..? contains the “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and “Bikini Bottom” tracks. After dropping last August, “Munch (Feelin’ U)” became a viral hit for the Hip Hop newcomer on social media platforms.

Young Thug’s Alleged Courtroom Drug Deal: Attorney Says Rapper Had “Nothing To Do With” It

Young Thug’s attorney maintained his client’s innocence after prosecutors accused the rapper and one of his YSL RICO case co-defendants of delaying jury selection by exchanging drugs in the courtroom.

In an interview with WSB-TV, lawyer Keith Adams stated Young Thug didn’t know what the item passed to him was and immediately turned it over to an officer of the court.

“The reality is, Mr. Williams has nothing to do with what went on in the courtroom yesterday. One of the co-defendants, on his way to the restroom, attempted to pass something to Mr. Williams who immediately turned it over to the deputy.”

He continued: “We don’t know what [the item] is. Did not know what it was. Turned it over to the deputy right away. The deputies took action. The individual who had the contraband—not Mr. Williams—was taken into into the back, where I’m told he ingested whatever he had. He had to be taken to the hospital, and as a result, court was terminated for the rest of the day.”

Footage Of Alleged Young Thug & Kahlieff Adams Alleged “Hand-to-Hand” Drug Deal

Courtroom surveillance video captured the moment prosecutors “accuse Young Thug and his co defendant Kahlieff Adams of conducting a “hand-to-hand” drug deal in court,” as per WSB-TV.

Deputies reportedly searched Adams and found Percocet, marijuana, and tobacco in his possession. He was then taken to the hospital after allegedly ingesting other contraband to prevent the officers from finding them.

Prosecutors asked the court to “make a finding of fact that Court was delayed on January 18, 2023 because of the actions of [Young Thug] and Defendant Adams.”

The incident is the third instance of being brought into the courthouse, causing delays during the lengthy jury selection process.

On Tuesday, Deputies arrested Latasha Kendrick, the mother of Yak Gotti, after she allegedly attempted to bring her son rolling papers and tobacco products inside a bag of clothing.

Last week Fulton County Chief Judge Ural Glanville said one of the defendants received clothing with marijuana hidden in the shoes

Other shots in the JLShotThat-directed music video include the rapper getting busy in the studio and performing in front of his fans.

The video is yet to hit streaming platforms but, in the meantime, watch the “Clutchin My Strap” video below.

Lil Tjay was due to link up with fellow Bronx rapper Ice Spice to film the “Gangsta Boo” visuals when he was busted earlier this week. Although they never got to film the visuals before his arrest, fans can now enjoy the single. The rising star rapper shared her six-song EP Like…? on Friday. Stream it at the end of the page.

The 21-year-old rapper was apprehended alongside four others this week after the NYPD discovered four loaded and unlicensed guns during a traffic stop. Authorities charged Lil Tjay and two others from the vehicle with criminal possession of a weapon.

Lil Tjay appeared in Bronx Criminal Court on Wednesday and released on a $30K cash bail and $90K bond.

“N##### really just had me on the island smh 🤦🏾‍♂️” he tweeted on Friday after releasing his new video.

Yung Miami Admits She Enjoys Being Urinated On In The Bedroom

Yung Miami is usually the one grilling her famous friends on her Caresha Please talk show, asking the tough questions and getting the wildest answers out of her guests.

However, the City Girl placed herself firmly in the hot seat during the latest episode featuring Miami, FL, rapper Trina. The ladies began playing Yung Miami’s new X-rated drinking game, Resha Roulette, and she did not hold back.

The game requires players to take a card from a deck and read out the adult scenario written on each. The contestants then take a shot if the situation applies to them.

After taking her card, Young Miami admitted she enjoyed being urinated on by her partner.

“Damn why I pick this one? I can’t say it,” Yung Miami exclaimed as she bent over with laughter. “You got to,” Trina replied.

“It says take a shot if you like golden showers. I Do,” the City Girl added. “Golden showers? Trina questioned. “Meaning when the guy pees on you. Pee on you everywhere, you like it?”

Miami nodded in agreement before adding, “I just like it. I don’t know, it just do something to me.”

Trina called her “Freak of the week,” as Young Miami readied her shot.  Check out the clip below.

Yung Miami launched her adult game Resha Roulette in December with a video of playing the game with friends.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/CmMyX8YK9Bh/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

“It’s for anyone that’s 21 or older. If you not 21, don’t play the game. Don’t play with your mama. Don’t play with your man,” Caresha advised. However, it turns out Miami’s not following her own advice. She admitted that she played it with the man in her life, presumably “Papi,” her nickname for Diddy.

Chrisean Rock Responds To Being Kicked Out Of Interview After Angry Meltdown

Chrisean Rock went viral on Thursday after a clip of her being physically removed from an interview surfaced online.

The footage was from her appearance on the No Jumper podcast with her boyfriend, Blueface. The clip begins with Blue directing somebody to take Rock outside while she can be heard yelling off-camera. The camera then pans to Rock who can be seen sitting on the floor while a security guard explains he’s got to take her out of the studio.

A few moments later, Blueface returns into view as the security guard picks Chrisean up by the waist to take her out of the building. The Baddies South star doesn’t make it easy for security, thrashing her arms and legs while shouting, resisting the attempt to remove her. On her way out, she kicks a wall-mounted TV before kicking at walls and holding on to the doorframe, fighting the attempt to remove her.  Check out the clip below and watch the interview at the end of the page.

“That Interview Really Triggered Me”

Hours after her meltdown went viral, Chrisean Rock took to Instagram with a lengthy post explaining what happened before she kicked off.

According to the troubled reality TV starlet, Blueface asked them to remove her from the interview when she contradicted his account of a recent incident where she attacked him with a glass. She claims the “Thotiana” hitmaker did something to her first and she responded by hitting him with a glass.

“One thing about me I’ll be ok if I started this altercation physically,” she wrote. “But this time he should have said next question instead of talking bout a situation n we both knew what happened I didn’t feel like anybody had my back I felt I had to really say what happened because that interview really triggered me bro.”

Blueface Says “Her Mentality Is Her Problem”

The young couple trended on Twitter all week, with fans sharing clips from their Crazy in Love reality show. Chrisean and Blueface have also been beefing online after Blue tweeted about his son’s mother being his ideal woman and later questioning Rock’s loyalty over her refusal to fight her family members for him.

The Cali native returned to social media to address fans’ concerns that excessive drinking caused Rock’s outburst.

“Alcohol isn’t her problem her mentality is her problem,” Blue tweeted. “All you people on here making excuses for a lack of self control an irrational behavior is contributing to the problem #accountability.”

Was Young Thug’s Co-Defendant Trying To Set Him Up?

Something crazy happened in court today with Young Thug.

One of the co-defendants in the YSL case tried to slip him a Percocet pill in court today. The whole thing happened in open court and was captured by surveillance video. This was a literal “hand-to-hand drug transaction” attempt in open court, but Young Thug is seemingly off the hook.

The Grammy-winner has been hit with the RICO, but they are saying he’s just a label head, not a gangster. That did not stop a dude from trying to give him a Perc in court, which was a total fumbled attempt. Thugger apparently gave the pill to the proper authorities and was cleared of all wrong doing. I wonder if this was an attempted set up? The trial looms and I would imagine some of these dudes would do anything to get out of their mess.

Kahlieff Adams is one of Young Thug’s 13 co-defendants, but they allege he does not even know this dude. That did not stop him from being comfy enough to try it! Now he caught another case!

Here’s more of the report.

Sounds like Thugger didn’t have a choice in this. Anyway….what do you think?

DJ Mustard’s Ex-Wife Seeks Close To $1 Million Per Year In Child Support

Chanel Thierry requested more than $80,000 per month in child support from her ex-husband DJ Mustard.

According to The Blast, Thierry wanted monthly child support payments of $82,628 in her divorce from DJ Mustard. The figure may change once accountants determine his 2022 income.

Thierry aimed for close to $1 million per year based on her ex’s adjusted gross income in 2020. He reportedly made $10 million.

DJ Mustard is already on the hook for $35,000 per month in spousal support. Thierry demanded another $60,000 to “true up the support payments he has made thus far.”

Thierry called on her ex to fork over $40,000 for her attorney’s fees and court costs. He previously paid $25,000 to her former legal team and $10,000 to her current representation. Thierry claimed he agreed to pay an additional $20,000 to her counsel, but the payment hasn’t been made as of yet.

DJ Mustard asked a judge to declare him legally single amid the divorce proceedings. He and Thierry would be able to settle other matters, such as custody of their children, at a later date.

The two share three children. Thierry sought joint custody of the kids.

DJ Mustard filed for divorce in 2022. He cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Lil Dicky Feels “Misrepresented” By His Old Music; Wants To Return To Rap

Lil Dicky insisted his rap career isn’t over despite his success in television.

The co-creator and star of FX’s Dave expressed his desire to release new music in an interview with Consequence. Lil Dicky committed to dropping his sophomore album once he finds time to complete it.

“I do feel bad for my music fans — I would be so annoyed at me,” he said. “But it’s not because of laziness. I don’t think I could work any harder than I work. As soon as I finish working on the show, and it’s the off-season, I’m in the studio every single day trying to get this thing done … There probably is a belief that ‘he’s never gonna put out an album. He’s just an actor.’ But it’s just not true. I don’t care when or how long it takes. I am going to put that second album out.”

Lil Dicky wanted to prove how much he progressed since the release of his 2015 debut Professional Rapper. He believed his past music failed to show his true skill.

“I feel totally misrepresented by my music online because it’s all so old, and I’m just so much better than that as an artist,” he said. “Truly, I have such a chip on my shoulder as a rapper that I want people to see how good I’ve gotten. When I first started out, I was making my songs in my San Francisco apartment for like two years before I even showed anybody anything because I just wanted to build the right body of work. And I think I’m just trying to build the right body and roll it out the right way, and I just get better and better … I’ve advanced as an artist. I just need the time.”

Lil Dicky’s show Dave returns on April 5. The first two seasons are available to stream on Hulu.

‘House Party’ Star Christopher “Kid” Reid Endorses Film’s Reboot

The House Party reboot received a stamp of approval from Christopher “Kid” Reid, one of the original film’s stars.

Reid joked about his cameo in the new House Party while speaking to a TMZ paparazzo. The Kid ‘n Play member urged fans to go see the movie and explained why he appreciated the remake.

“I think it’s always great to have a new perspective on it,” he said. “The original House Party came out over 30 years ago and it has its place in cinematic lore. And I don’t think that’s gonna change, but I think it’s nice to get a fresh, young perspective on a classic. I’m very satisfied with what they did.”

Warner Bros. Pictures released the House Party remake on January 13. The movie tells the story of two aspiring promoters who throw a party at LeBron James’ mansion. James and his longtime business partner Maverick Carter produced the reboot.

Calmatic, who won a Grammy for his work on Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” video, directed the film. Earlier this month, the director defended the decision to remake a beloved movie.

“I wanna see House Party 10 years from now,” Calmatic said. “It ain’t that deep. Trust me, I’ve heard every possible complaint about remaking the classics and all that type of s###. But it’s not that deep. This movie is for this new generation.”

House Party is in theaters now.
