Calboy Surprise Drops ‘Black Heart’ Project Ft. Fredo Bang, Jackboy & Joey Bada$$

Calboy is one of the most unique, talented voices in the rap game, and he continues to lace his fans with the most powerful, heartfelt records possible. Born and raised in Chicago, Calboy’s ability to switch between laying down the most fire melodic vocals and rapping his ass off does not go unnoticed, and now he surprise drops his newest project titled Black Heart.

Speaking on the title of the project, Calboy states, “It’s inspired by my present internal feelings, and how I feel from the industry to my family and my friends. Everybody turned my s### black. I want to be open with my fans and encourage my fans to be free.”

Black Heart arrives on the heels of his previous loosies, freestyling over Kodak Black’s “Super Gremlin,” and Gunna’s “Too Easy” and “Pushin P.” The 8-track mixtape features all-star features from Fredo Bang, Jackboy, and Joey Bada$$.

If you love good music, you love Calboy. Boasting one of the freshest new voices of our generation, the 22-year-old creates music from the heart, inspired directly by his experiences growing up in the South Side of Chicago. With impeccable wordplay, hypnotizing vocals, and a killer spitfire flow, it’s no surprise Calboy hails one of the most loyal, dedicated fanbases… and he continues to bless them with bangers.

Exploding onto the scene with his viral smash hit “Envy Me” back in 2018, whose music video currently sits at over 223 million views on Youtube and counting, Calboy quickly proved why he belongs in the big leagues. One year prior, he released his mixtape titled Anxiety, just another testament to the honesty and vulnerability you feel when listening to his music.

Calboy’s name comes from combining his government name Calvin and the character Cowboy from the 1979 film The Warriors.

In 2019, he released his major-label debut Wildboy, and the next year was included in XXL’s 2020 Freshman Class. Last year, Calboy released a standout collaboration with Lil Wayne on “Miseducation,” following his previous collabs with Meek Mill, Lil Durk, Young Thug, Moneybagg Yo, Polo G, Lil Tjay, King Von, and many more.

Lil Wayne Set To Return To The UK For His First Concert in 14 Years

After 14 years, rapper Lil Wayne will perform his first show since 2008 in the United Kingdom this summer at the Strawberries & Creem festival. The 3-day weekend festival will be held in Childerley Orchard, Cambridge, June 17th – 19th.

Lil Wayne, who is responsible for hits like “Lollipop” and “A Milli” will be the festival’s headliner, with performances from over one hundred other artists.

The lineup, about 60% women, features artists like Ella Mai, Mabel, TEMS, Tion Wayne, Ms. Banks, Ghetts, ENNY, Knucks, David Rodigan, and Rema.

In addition to the mic controllers, DJs are showcased as a staple in this festival. Famous DJs like Wilkinson, Sub Focus, High Contrast, and Dennis Ferrer will spin in a dedicated dance music area.

Strawberries & Creem has two stages, Notting Hill Carnival Takeover and Girls Can’t DJ stage, which will host Katy B and Lisa Maffia as special guests.

But the most memorable guest of the festival will be Lil Wayne.

“This year, as we scale up to a full three days, we wanted to ensure our musical offering matched that level of ambition – as well as reflecting our incredibly diverse crowd. We have gone further than ever before to bring exceptional artists together, showing Strawberries & Creem to be a major player on the weekend festival scene,” said festival co-founder and booker, Preye Crooks.

“As a team, we also wanted to shine a light on some amazing genres and artists that aren’t always celebrated in full at other festivals. We hope we have curated a truly representative and exciting lineup, one that offers an unrivalled experience to our festival goers – covering everything from D&B and dance music, to reggae and R&B,” Crooks said.

New Orleans’ native Lil Wayne has sold 20 million albums worldwide and has five GRAMMY awards, 12 Top Ten albums on the Billboard 200, and platinum-selling records, and is responsible for the success of Nicki Minaj and Drake.

Another reason why this festival will be popping for Tunechi fans is he has identified this festival as the only European performance he will make all year.

Is Moneybagg Yo Engaged To Ari Fletcher?

Moneybagg Yo is persistently working to maintain his privacy. However, his woman — Ari Flether — lauded social media influencer, is open with her public. So, is Moneybagg Yo actually engaged to Miss Ari Fletcher?

In recent past, the Memphis musician emphatically issues a candid declaration. “Stay out of my business,” reads the curt Twitter communication. Earlier this month, social media chitchat hits a fever pitch. Moreover, expectant allegations are swirling around the “Wokesha” wordsmith and his bae. In fact, this gossip suggests the emerging “It” couple are awaiting the birth of their first child.

However, the addition of a baby has never solidified any marriage contract. Yet, it is the utter astonishment from the social media socialite which hints at the Certified Speaker’s engagement. “A f###### 22 carat diamond ring for me??!!!” the sheer excitement seeps through her tweet.

In addition, she includes, “It’s so big I’m scared to wear it 🥺😍[.]” Soon, the bafflement of Ari concludes with, “I’m just staring at it in shock.” Although, Ari is dating the affluent artist, she does not detail if the ring is actually an engagement ring. So, is Mr. Gave It truly her fiancé?

Thus far, to the surprising rumblings, the “Time Today” rapper has yet to respond. Overall, the dynamic couple have no qualms demonstrating their love. So, for all the juicy updates, stay tuned!

Are Moneybagg Yo and Ari ready for marriage?

Gunna & Chlöe – “You & Me”

Watch out everyone we have a new Hip-Hop power couple in Gunna and Chlöe. Not telling where this is going but you know there’s going to be a whole lot of pushin 🅿️. Tune in to this lil duet from this new couple and make sure to watch this one all the way until the end.

Was Mo’Nique Allegedly Blackballed by Oprah & Tyler Perry?

Mo’Nique is breaking her silence! In fact, the veteran comedienne sits down with TS Madison. Of course, the candid conversation quickly becomes too juicy. So, is Mo’Nique allegedly being blackballed by both Oprah and Tyler Perry?

At the present time, the Hollywood truth-teller and Netflix are engaging in legal warfare. However, she is not at liberty to divulge too many of its details. Nonetheless, the established entrepreneur offers her keen insight. Overall, the issue centers on money, or the lack thereof. Why was she only offered half a million dollars? Whereas, Amy Schumer was paid $13 million.

The Result

Undoubtedly, MoMo’s problems keep persisting. According to the Queen of Comedy, the issues may go back to her involvement with director Lee Daniel’s cinematic smash, Precious. Actually, the film is a superb adaptation of Sapphire’s novel, Push.

As a matter of fact, for her uncanny portrayal of Mary Jones she wins the 2010 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Without regard, to the enormous amount of critical-accolades, somehow she purports that she gets blackballed. While sincerity wraps her words, she insists that since she declines requests for things which she was not “contractually obligated to do,” she unfairly earns the title of being, “difficult.”

Under these circumstances, the emancipated actress gives FOX Soul’s new show, “Turnt Out with TS Madison, an epic exclusive. Moreover, the self-assured thespian expresses her disappointment directed towards Oprah Winfrey. Furthermore, pertaining to her alleged blackballing, on her behalf, she claims the iconic talk-show host, “stayed quiet and said nothing.”

The Cause

Above all, the crux of her angst involves Tyler Perry allegedly dragging her name. She claims, “Tyler has actually told another director named David Talbert how difficult it was to work with [me]…” In addition to her sordid assertions, Mo’Nique presents even more poignant commentary.

For the most part, the celebrated comic contends that Tyler Perry is incapable of speaking on her professionalism. Not to mention, she also adds, ““Well, Tyler Perry you’ve never worked with me. We never worked together,” she continued. “When we did ‘Precious,’ [he] came on after we said ‘Cut; that’s a wrap and it’s over.’ “

Often, perspective shapes reality. Are Mo’Nique’s claims valid?

Jack Harlow – “Nail Tech”

He continues, “It’s not easy getting a season two of a TV show nowadays so I don’t take this blessing for granted at all!! Salute to Rachael Edwards, Aaron McGruder, Stephen Colbert, MTV Entertainment Studios, and the whole TGHT team who I could not do this without!! I THANK GOD FOR IT ALL!!”

A Clip From ‘TGHT’ Featuring VP Harris Went Viral In 2021

A conversation with Vice President Kamala Harris became one of the standout moments from the first season of Tha God’s Honest Truth. Ed Sheeran, Kevin Hart, Meagan Good, Chlöe Bailey, Soulja Boy, and other celebrities also made appearances on the show.

“Charlamagne is shaking up the late-night landscape with his no-holds-barred approach to telling it like it is, and its struck a chord with audiences,” states Nina L. Diaz, President of Content and Chief Creative Officer, MTV Entertainment Group and Head of Unscripted Entertainment and Adult Animation for Paramount+.

Diaz continues, “We are thrilled to build on our dynamic partnership with Charlamagne, Stephen Colbert, Aaron McGruder, and Karen Kinney as we gear up for season two of Tha God’s Honest Truth.”

Longtime The Late Show host and fellow South Carolina native Stephen Colbert says, “There is no one on television like Charlamagne. I’m excited to see what truths Tha God gets honest about in Season 2 of TGHT!”

NBA YoungBoy – “SuperBowl”

This is an emotional song from NBA YoungBoy for his lady and it’s release coincided with the Super Bowl and Valentines Day so its no surprise NBA is almost proposing to his girl on his new song. After all it sounds like she’s been through a lot when NBA raps, “Step ’round like she came back from the dead / She still love a n#### while another girl here.” All we can say is love hurts.

Mary J. Blige Comments On Viral Fallout Moment From Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show

Mary J. Blige was one of the legendary music acts to take part in this year’s well-received Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. The Queen of Hip Hop Soul joined Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, and Anderson .Paak for the entertainment event.

After running through her songs “Family Affair” and “No More Drama,” Mary J. Blige ended her set by falling out on the stage. The image of a prone MJB went viral as social media users made memes of the moment.

Blige stopped by The Breakfast Club following her Super Bowl LVI appearance. Charlamagne Tha God asked the Good Morning Gorgeous album creator about the way she closed out her performance inside Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium.

“That’s a sign of how I felt,” explained Mary J. Blige while laughing at Charlamagne’s question. “You just get tired of fighting, so you just pass out. That’s what ‘No More Drama’ means. I know the world wants to just pass out right now from all this foolishness.”

Blige also talked about her role as Monet on 50 Cent’s Power Book II: Ghost television series on The Breakfast Club. Plus, the 51-year-old singer/actress discussed a forthcoming project with production entirely by Dr. Dre.

While a Dr. Dre-produced album is reportedly in the works, MJB’s Good Morning Gorgeous landed two days before Super Bowl LVI on February 11. Her fourteenth studio LP features Anderson. Paak, Dave East, DJ Khaled, Fivio Foreign, and Usher.

“Family Affair” jumped into the Top 5 of the iTunes all-genre chart following the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. Mary J. Blige will have the chance to perform that Hot 100 #1 single and her other classic hits when she headlines Roots Picnic 2022 in June.

This lyric video looks like it was filmed in the metaverse, but we’re down with everything that 2022 has to offer so we’re open to that. Cardi B Claps Back At Candace Owens For Calling Her “Uneducated”

The feud between conservative commentator Candace Owens and Grammy-winning recording artist Cardi B is heating up again. Last year, the two women got into a Twitter argument after Owens suggested Cardi’s “WAP” performance at the Grammy Awards could lead to the “destruction of American values.”

Candace Owens reheated the beef this week with an interview on the Full Send Podcast. While Owens claimed she could not remember how the friction started, the controversial right-wing pundit took more shots at Cardi B and her understanding of the American political system.

“It’s incredible how uneducated she is. She just got embarrassed on Twitter,” said Candace Owens about Cardi. “She’s mouthing off and saying things, she literally doesn’t understand. I don’t even think she understands that Congress has a Senate and House of Representatives. She has no idea what she’s talking about.”

The Neighborhood Talk reposted a clip of Candace Owens’s Full Send Podcast appearance on Instagram. Cardi B then jumped in the IG blog’s comment section to respond to the outspoken supporter of Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again movement.

“What’s embarrassing is that she tried to get her lawyers to make me do a public apology after she been attacking me for months and try to make me pay her 75K in a month or she threatened to sue wit NO CASE,” wrote Cardi B. “Like how smart you are and don’t even know the law?”

Cardi B was heavily involved in the political process during the 2020 United States presidential race. The Invasion of Privacy album creator had public conversations with Democratic candidates Senator Bernie Sanders and then-former Vice President Joe Biden. After first expressing support for Sanders, Cardi later endorsed Biden for the presidency before he defeated Trump in the election.

Yung Miami Stars In Jack Harlow’s “Nail Tech” Music Video

Jack Harlow recently declared, “No one in my generation can f### with me.” The Louisville-bred rapper promised to back up that proclamation with his new single.

“Nail Tech” arrived on DSPs today (February 18). An official music video accompanied Jack Harlow’s latest song. The visuals open with Yung Miami of City Girls making an appearance.

Following its premiere on YouTube, the “Nail Tech” video began trending in the platform’s music section. Jack Harlow’s name is also a Top 10 trend on Twitter as users comment on the Generation Now performer’s latest offering.

Apple Music 1’s New Music Daily host Zane Lowe spoke to Jack Harlow about “Nail Tech.” According to Harlow, his Generation Now label head, Don Cannon, was a big fan of the track.

“This is one of those ones. I’ve had it for a few months. Boi-1da played me the beat, we were in the studio. And as soon as I heard it, those horns have something epic about them, but as soon as those kicks come in and the drums, they’re not on the one, so it’s a different type of bounce,” said Jack Harlow.

He added, “I remember, I went back to Atlanta a little while later and I played Don Cannon a bunch of my music just to show him where I was at. And I was playing stuff, and then at the very end, I played him this verse that was on ‘Nail Tech.’ He’s like, ‘Yo, what is that?’ I was like, ‘Oh, you like that?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, you need to finish that.’ So I got it together, man.”

The State of U.K Rap

Meanwhile, during a recent interview, Central Cee spoke about the state of the U.K rap scene.

“We’re in a growing state, though, we’re in the early stages to say the least,” he says of the scene as a whole. “We’re in a good position because there’s a lot to do, and there’s certain people like me that [are] pushing down doors for people to do different things. For everyone.”

Central Cee revealed that his perspective changed following the release of “Day in the Life” from his debut mixtape, Wild West.

“Before ‘Day in the Life’, I was paying attention to the UK scene and that’s why I kind of found my sound and a gap in the market. Now I might have lost touch a little bit,” Central Cee admitted. “I haven’t really been listening to no [UK rappers]. And when I am, I’m looking from a different point of view now. I’ve got a different perspective, like they’re my peers. So I don’t really know the state of the UK scene. It’s probably just quite boring outside of me. I don’t know what’s going on. Nottin’ ain’t really caught my eye. Nottin’ really exciting going on.

Last week, Central Cee dropped the video for “Khabib,” from his upcoming tape 23. Watch it below.

Pusha T On Longstanding Beef With Drake: Bygones Are Bygones

Four years ago, G.O.O.D. Music’s Pusha T delivered a significant blow to Drake with “The Story of Adidon” diss track. Both emcees through shots at the other going back to 2012, but that 2018 round in the feud was reignited by Drake’s issues with G.O.O.D. Music founder Kanye “Ye” West.

Kanye West and Drake ended their bad blood last year by joining forces for the “Free Larry Hoover Concert” in Los Angeles. That reunion led to questions about Pusha T’s current feelings towards his longtime adversary.

Complex recently caught up with Pusha T for 360 With Speedy Morman. The interview included the Virginia representative talking about Kanye West and Drake moving past their differences.

“I’ve already looked past that… I don’t look towards it anymore,” responded Pusha when asked about possibly moving on from the rivalry with Drake in a similar way to Ye.

The 44-year-old Daytona album creator also added, “Bygones are bygones, far as I see. And I think that’s really good that they did squash it. That works really good for them.”

According to Pusha T, fans should expect another studio LP from him in the coming months. One-half of the Clipse dropped “Diet Coke” on February 8. A Kanye West-assisted music video for the single already collected over 4 million views on YouTube.

Pusha T Promises To Deliver Album Of The Year, Produced By Kanye West & The Neptunes

Pusha T promised an album is coming soon, and it will be the best one this year!

The Bronx native dropped his recent single, “Diet Coke,” and now he has given a rare interview revealing what fans can expect from his forthcoming project. He sat down with Complex for an interview on 360 with Speedy Morman, his first in over two years.

“There’s no album that’s better than mine this year,” Pusha T declared. He also announced fans will have a short wait as the project is due sometime within the next two-to-three months. He also let slip that it will be entirely produced by the Neptunes and Kanye West. And according to King Push, nobody makes better music with his close collaborators than he does.

“Nobody makes better music with those two entities than me,” he said. “I want people to stop working with them, because it sort of cheapens what I do.” Although he admitted it is “selfish” for him to want them to work with him exclusively, it “annoys” him to see them lend their talents to other artists.

“All Killer No Filler”

Pusha T also revealed details about who fans can expect to feature on the project. “I do have a verse from people on my album for sure,” he said. While he confirmed neither Jay- or Jeezy appear on the album, “I think everybody who’s on it, is great in their space,” he added. “I needed that, because I needed that to match the greatness in the production. … Pharrell and Ye, especially, they only like to work with a certain tier of artist when it’s rap time.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Pusha T addressed the length of the album following on from Daytona, which only had seven songs. He says his new project will be “all killer no filler,” and believes in quality over quantity. “I don’t hear classics that are usually that long,” he said. “Or maybe they just love everything they do so much. … Me, personally, I have a very clean and concise vision for what it is that I’m making.” He promised that the forthcoming record will be “all killer no filler.”

Big K.R.I.T. On The Making Of DRDD

During an earlier Instagram Live session with his followers this week Big K.R.I.T. revealed what he learned from making the new album.

“I can just be as creative as I want to be,” he revealed. “A lot of the pressure that I put on myself back in the day to try to constantly prove myself, it wasn’t necessary in a sense but it was a growing process.” He continued and said as artists, “when you put the music out, you put so much time into it being 2:30 and 3:15. But, in order to make a song that is literally 2:15, might take you six, seven months.”

K.R.I.T explained that listeners fail to understand the amount of time and effort that goes into producing a song. “So, for me, when I would be at the label or when I was working on them albums it was just this gruelling process to somehow figure out a way to make people hear how much time I spent on a record in the amount of time that they actually listen to it.”

However, Big K.R.I.T. has changed the way he looks at how fans consume his music and now is more focused on the creation process. “Now I’m at a point where I just love making music so much,” he admitted. “I love what I do. However they enjoy it, they enjoy it and I was able to actually put the song out.”

Elsewhere during the session, he revealed that he didn’t want to make a song about the struggles of the pandemic. “I wanted to make an album that was just happy and it was the ups and down of the base idea of just love,” KR.I.T. explained. “It’s not a derivative of what we going through in the moment.”

Kanye West Says “DONDA 2” Will Only Be Available On Stem Player – No Streaming Platforms

Kanye West has made an interesting DONDA 2 announcement while previewing a new song.

The multi-hyphenate has announced that his upcoming album will not be available on streaming platforms. Kanye West said, DONDA 2 will only be released via his stem player. He shared a snippet of a new track playing on the device in a new Instagram post.

“Donda 2 will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player,” Kanye wrote. “Not on Apple Amazon Spotify or YouTube. Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system. It’s time to take control and build our own. Go to stemplayer.com now to order.”

Kanye West plans to drop the album on February 22, less than a week away. He also revealed a “Donda Experience Performance” at LoanDepot Park in Miami on the same date. Kanye famously held several listening parties for his first DONDA release and delayed the project several times.

The stem player was first introduced last year in conjunction with the DONDA album. The device enables users to make the listening experience truly unique by customizing individual song components. Kanye West included bonus tracks in the DONDA stem player release, to the surprise of fans who purchased one.

Kanye West Hosts “The Future Brunch”

The move comes soon after Kanye held “The Future Brunch,” where he discussed ownership amongst other topics.

“I’ve been waiting for us to take the power in our own hands. I’ve been waiting to control our narrative. We need to empower local leaders and that’s our focus,” Kanye exclaimed.

“Our money is being made and goes back into a white system,” the billionaire stated. “Our 44 million (Black people and their spending power) is worth $1.8 trillion. That means the Black dollar is neck and neck with the biggest company in the world, Apple. With more focus, the Black dollar will be the biggest company in the world.”

EXCLUSIVE: Jam Master Jay Murder Suspect Says DNA, Alibi Proves His Innocence In $1 Million Bid For Freedom

One of the suspects accused of killing Run-DMC group member Jam Master Jay hopes to get out of prison before his murder trial starts this fall.

On August 17th, 2020, prosecutors charged Karl “Lil D Jordan Jr. and Ronald “Tinard” Washington with the October 30th, 2002 murder of the pioneering DJ inside of his Queens, New York recording studio.

According to prosecutors, Jordan and Washington executed Jam Master Jay after he allegedly cut them out of a drug deal involving multiple kilos of cocaine destined for distribution in Maryland.

EXCLUSIVE: Source Claims Jam Master Jay’s Drug Supplier Was High Ranking BMF Member

While Washington has yet to present his defense, Karl Jordan Jr. has maintained his innocence. He has managed to raise a $1 million surety bond secured by 16 people who believe he is innocent.

The group backing Jordan also raised $20,000 in cash, and his father and grandmother are putting up property worth $175,000, In hopes of getting him released from the MDC lockup in Brooklyn, New York.

AllHipHop has also obtained exclusive information relating to Karl Jordan Jr.’s alibi.

He plans to present two witnesses his defense team believes are highly credible.

Jordan’s then-pregnant girlfriend says he was at her home when the murder occurred. Furthermore, the mother of his ex-girlfriend at the time – who is a former New York City corrections officer and current school teacher – is also planning to testify he was at the residence.

According to Jordan, he was an innocent 18-year-old teen when the crime happened. Lawyers for Jordan said his father, Karl “Big D” Jordan, was a lifelong friend of Jam Master Jay since the two families lived across the street from each other in Queens.

Jordan believes he was only charged after the release of a documentary on Netflix that “recklessly promoted a theory,” alleging he was one of the two individuals responsible for the murder.

In a bombshell revelation that could sink the prosecution’s case in front of a jury due to reasonable doubt, Jordan was excluded as a contributor to the DNA recovered from the scene of the murder.

Jordan’s defense team says that DNA from a hat found at the crime identified another unnamed suspect.

Because of this evidence, lawyers for Jordan submitted the proposed bail package that would include the $1 million surety bond, his grandparents’ house, and the $20,000 in cash.

Jordan would also be willing to submit to 24-hour home detention at his residence in Queens, enforced with a monitor. And he agreed to stay away from his co-defendant and other witnesses. Jordan’s lawyers also pointed out that he is not a danger to the community.

Karl Jordan Jr., now 38, has no adult criminal convictions and has not been in any violent criminal activity since he was locked up in August of 2020.

A judge has yet to rule.
