Tay Keith Says He Was Crucified For Working With Sexyy Red

Tay Keith created hits with Sexyy Red but initially faced blowback for their collaborations. The Memphis-bred producer, who’s worked with stars such as Eminem and Drake, told Billboard he was “crucified” for teaming up with Sexyy Red.

“People were trolling the s### out of me,” Tay Keith said. “They were real-deal trolling me. It wasn’t much good feedback. It was coming from even people around me, ‘What you doing?’ I saw the potential. That’s as simple as it was, me believing in her.”

Tay Keith produced Sexyy Red’s breakthrough single “Pound Town,” which peaked at No. 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2023. The two scored another hit when their track “SkeeYee” reached No. 62 on the Hot 100. “SkeeYee” also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s inaugural TikTok Top 50 chart.

Sexyy Red and Tay Keith proved her success wasn’t a fluke when their latest collab “Get It Sexyy” peaked at No. 20 on the Hot 100. Tay Keith believed Sexyy Red’s organic rise baffled many observers.

“I think that’s what the people didn’t expect,” he said. “Just how raw it was to become that successful. I think people doubted me working with her because they didn’t see the reason to do it. I definitely seen the potential. I tell people all the time how long I was watching Sexyy Red’s music before she blew up.”

He continued, “I was watching her s### for a while. Like going on YouTube and listening to her s###. Sending people her music and labels and people I know at certain labels. At the time, I didn’t know what I could do with it. I sent it to folks, ‘Y’all gotta f### with her.’ I didn’t know what to do with it — but it’s gon’ work, I swear to God!”

Tay Keith revealed plans to release an album with Sexyy Red. The producer refused to put a timetable on it but said they already started “cooking up” music for the project.

Kanye West Wants A Freak Off With Michelle Obama

Kanye West envisioned himself having sex with former First Lady Michelle Obama and his wife Bianca Censori. Ye named Obama when asked to pick any woman in the world to have a threesome with his wife on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast.

“Gotta f### the president’s wife!” Ye said before laughing.

Michelle Obama memorably took a veiled shot at Kanye when he was running for president in 2020. She urged voters to ignore Ye and vote for Joe Biden at the Democratic National Convention.

“This is not the time to withhold our votes in protest or play games with candidates who have no chance of winning,” she said.

Former President Barack Obama called Kanye a “jackass” in an off-the-record comment that leaked in 2009. The 44th president of the United States doubled down on the sentiment several years later.

“He is a jackass,” Barack Obama said in an interview. “But he’s talented.”

Kanye discussed aligning with Future and Metro Boomin in their much-discussed feud with Drake on LaBoy’s podcast. Future recruited Ye for a remix of the hit song “Like That.” Kanye said both men wanted the “elimination of Drake.”

Kendrick Lamar dissed Drake on the original version of “Like That,” which helped ignite a battle that dragged multiple artists into the crossfire. The “Like That” remix dropped on Sunday (April 21). Kanye claimed Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge controlled Drake on the song.

“It’s like Drake has a rich baby daddy named Lucian and Universal,” Ye said on LaBoy’s podcast. “He’s like, ‘My daddy got it. My daddy control the spins. My daddy got the DSPs. My daddy.’

He added, “It cuts Drake’s soul. It’s like he signed his soul to the devil to not be cool with me. To have to like—this is his job, to go against God. And it cuts his soul.”

The “Like That” remix can be heard on Kanye’s Yeezy website.

Fivio Foreign Claims He Punched Friend-Turned-Foe Ether Da Connect, Video Emerges

Fivio Foreign got involved in an altercation with his former friend Ether Da Connect over the weekend. The incident occurred after the Devin Haney vs. Ryan Garcia boxing match held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Saturday (April 20).

Footage of the altercation surfaced on social media. Fivio commented on his run-in with Ether via Instagram Stories.

“Betchu that big bozo n#### won’t go live about how I punched him in [the] face outside the Barclay,” the Columbia Records rapper wrote. “This why I don’t care to respond to none of these tough guys.. Boy said wait that’s my brother. N#### we ain’t brothers tf. I would post the vid of boy running but I don’t condone internet movies. New Music coming soon..”

Ether fired back by accusing his friend-turned-foe of using him to promote music. He also downplayed Fivio’s version of events.

“All I’ma say is cocaine is a helluva drug,” Ether said in an Instagram Stories video. “That’s all I’m saying. Listen, y’all take that and y’all do what y’all want to do with that. God bless.”

Ether shared a brief clip of the incident. He laughed at Fivio, denying any punch landed.

“My Boi Was Fighting Himself,” Ether wrote.

Fivio did not publicly respond to Ether’s accusations. Ether appeared to take another jab at Fivio via social media on Monday (April 22).

“A LOT OF N##### POST S### ON THE INTERNET CUZ THEY TRYNA LET POLICE KNOW WHATS GOING ON PURPOSE,” Ether wrote. DON’T LET THAT GO OVA YA HEAD!!”

Fivio and Ether were close friends for years before their fallout. Just a few months ago, Ether said he and Fivio had “no real issues” despite apparent tension between the two.

“I don’t wish bad on nobody,” Ether said in a January interview.

Sheff G Hits Studio After Getting Released On Hefty Bail

Sheff G celebrated getting out of state custody by quickly returning to work. The drill rapper teased new music with a video filmed at a recording studio on Sunday (April 21).

“Free the guys,” he wrote on Instagram. “rip the guys, NY WE BACK EVERYTHING LITT. EVERYTHING LITT‼️ DROPPING SOON ALL NEW HEAT COMING SOOONN I PROMISE. Appreciate Life , imma have fun w this s### #Riptheguysfreetheguys #RIPPOP Brooklyn we HEREEEEEE.”

Sheff G was released on bail on Friday (April 19). He paid $1.5 million to the New York City Department of Corrections.

“10 MILL BOND, 1.5 MILL CASH BAIL WAS THE TICKET‼️” he wrote. “BAIL PAID SAME DAY ARE YOU DUMB, SHEFF G BACK‼️ NEW YORK WE F###### LITTTTT THEY COUNTED ME OUT‼️ THEY THOUGHT I WAS DONE, PEACE AND LOVE TO YALL LOL WINNERSCIRCLE IM W THE STARS BABY. YOU CAN COME AND EAT W US YOU AINT GOTTA STARVEE BABYYYYYYY #FREETHEGUYZ #BAILOUTBOYZZZZZ.”

Sheff G, whose real name is Michael Williams, was one of 32 alleged gang members indicted for shootings and other crimes in 2023. Authorities claimed the 8 Trey Crips member used money from his rap career to facilitate violence in New York.

“The senseless gun violence, allegedly committed by these defendants, terrorized our neighbors for years and left more than a dozen people with serious injuries,” Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said. “It is distressing to know that some of the violence was allegedly fueled by a young man who used money he made from a successful music career to allegedly pay for and encourage acts of violence.”

New York Mayor Eric Adams added, “The actions of these 32 people put the lives of New Yorkers in danger — carrying out murder, assault, gun possession, and using stolen cars during shootings. These indictments should serve as a reminder that no one is above the law, and if you commit acts of violence in New York City you will be held accountable.”

Sheff G’s collaborator Sleepy Hallow was charged as a co-conspirator in the indictment.

Kanye West Says He & Future Seek “Elimination Of Drake”

Kanye West explained why he joined Future’s battle against Drake on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast. According to Ye, Future recruited the controversial artist for a “Like That” remix to attack Drake.

“Pluto called me,” Kanye said. “I went to the studio, laid that. And then we went through the creative process, adding the chorus … You know, everybody was very, very excited about the elimination of Drake. Not excited – we was energized.”

Future and Metro Boomin released the original version of “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar in March. The Drake diss track appeared on the duo’s We Don’t Trust You album.

Kanye dropped the “Like That” remix on Sunday (April 21). The remix was available to stream on his Yeezy website instead of streaming services.

“Pluto sent the drones, it hit like Metro beats/It’s a wrap for n#####/Where’s Lucian? Serve your master, n####/You caught a little bag for your masters, didn’t ya?/Lifetime deal, I feel bad for n#####/Y’all so outta sight, outta mind/I can’t even think of a Drake line/Play J. Cole, get the p#### dry/Play this s### back 130 times,” Ye rapped.

Kanye’s verse referenced Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge. Ye characterized Grainge as Drake’s “rich baby daddy.”

“It’s like Drake has a rich baby daddy named Lucian and Universal,” Kanye told LaBoy. “He’s like, ‘My daddy got it. My daddy control the spins. My daddy got the DSPs. My daddy.’ Drake has a rich baby daddy named Lucian … Lucian works for people who control the banks in Africa.”

LaBoy wondered why Kanye and Drake still had beef after reuniting at the Free Larry Hoover benefit concert in 2021. Ye suggested Drake is a puppet serving others.

“It cuts Drake’s soul,” Kanye said. “It’s like he signed his soul to the devil to not be cool with me. To have to like—this is his job, to go against God. And it cuts his soul.”

Erica Ford Talks Tupac, Mutulu Shakur And Much More

Erica Ford, an activist and community leader from New York, recently highlighted the profound impact Tupac Shakur and his stepfather, Mutulu Shakur, have had on her efforts to combat urban violence in a discussion on social activism inspired by their legacy.

Ford visited AllHipHop and her experiences working with the Shakur family, underscoring their dedication to change and empowerment within the community.

Erica worked with Tupac Shakur to create the “T.H.U.G. Life” rules to reduce violence and promote community respect.

During the conversation, which included Beanie Sigel, DJ Thoro and Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur, Ford spoke passionately about Tupac’s influence in the streets. She stressed he had a positive impact on those around him, emphasizing his genuine care for the community and vibrant energy.

She described her interactions with the Shakur family as profoundly transformative.

“Working with his entire family was like something… it’s life-changing in a sense that you could look at him on a movie screen and you see him in person, and it’s the same person.”

Ford further expressed her admiration for Tupac’s authenticity and commitment.

“He [was] a true representation of his true representation. When he showed up for anybody, he showed up his best and he showed up real,” Erica Ford reflected.

Discussing Tupac’s intelligence and the education he received, Ford emphasized its role in shaping his approach to activism.

“He’s got a mind that is beyond the world. They [The Black Panther Party] educated him and trained him in a manner that you know would bring some fundamental change for black youth in America,” she said sitting next to Beanie Sigel.

This training led to Pac working with his stepfather, Mutulu Shakur, to refine a 25-point rule list for streetlife, which was co-created with Chaz “Slim” Williams of Blackhand Entertainment.

Chaz Williams was part of the same circles and groups that Mutulu Shakur was involved with, such as the Revolutionary Action Movement (RAM) and the Black Liberation Army.

Shakur was a prominent figure in the Black Liberation Movement and was convicted for his involvement in a 1981 armored car robbery.

Chaz was a serial bank robber who pulled off over 60 heists before being imprisoned for 25 years. He’s ranked as one of the most storied bank robbers in American history, by some.

Williams turned his life around, started a company called Black Hand Entertainment and managed the careers of several rappers, including a young 50 Cent.

“They came up with a 25-point code to the streets…it talked about rules that if you’re going to be involved in the street life, you got to have some rules,” Erica Ford explained.

“You got to protect the women; you got to protect the children. There’s just certain things that you just can’t do. No shooting at parties. And it was to begin to move young people from the life… to say the business side of it.”

Kid Cudi Hospitalized After Breaking Foot During Coachella Set

(UPDATE) Kid Cudi has revealed he actually broke his foot and needed a trip to the hospital after falling off the Coachella stage on Sunday (April 21). He updated his fans with a tweet that read: “Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show. Just leavin the hospital. Never broken a bone before so this is all a bit crazy. I wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes!! I love yall man. I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big.”

Kid Cudi further expounded on the topic with a video message from his hospital bed and admitted he “learned a valuable lesson: no more prancing.”

Watch the clip below.

Kid Cudi was a surprise performer at the 2024 Coachella Valley Music & Art Festival on Sunday night (April 21), although his set didn’t end on a high note. According to several fans who were watching the performance, Cudder took an unexpected tumble as he attempted to jump over the barricade in front of the stage. Those watching the livestream caught it too, and the video suddenly cut to the crowd as festival staff rushed to get Kid Cudi some help.

Meanwhile, Cudi’s music continued to play in the background as people screamed his name. As noted in a Reddit thread, Kid Cudi’s medical condition is unknown as of publication time, and he has yet to address the mishap on social media.

Up until then, Kid Cudi’s set was reportedly nothing short of electrifying, his presence commanding the attention of every soul in the crowd. Weaving a sonic tapestry of Hip-Hop rock and emotive lyrics, Cudi transported the audience into his world and delivered iconic hits alongside new tracks, including “Day ‘N Nite” and “Soundtrack 2 My Life.”

Sunday night concluded this year’s Coachella madness. Cudi will presumably get back to planning his wedding. The former Kids See Ghosts rapper announced his engagement last week in an Instagram post.

“My [fiancée] Lola and me at the Knuckles premiere,” he wrote alongside a photo of the couple. “This amazing woman makes me so happy, she is everything to me, and I’m so excited to share this news [with you all],” Kid Cudi wrote. “Life is wild, and right when I felt my future was uncertain, it became crystal clear with Lola. Happy Cud in full effect.”

Lola Abecassis Sartore, a menswear fashion designer, previously worked for Louis Vuitton until January 2024. She added in her own post, “I never thought I could love someone this much! So proud to call you my fiancé Scott. I can’t wait for you all to see this amazing man in the new Knuckles show!”

Ja Rule Relates To Drake Going “20 Vs. 1” In Ongoing Rap Beefs

“What the f### is this, a 20-v-one, n####?” Drake raps on his “Push Ups” diss track. Murder Inc. Records’ flagship artist Ja Rule reacted to the Canadian superstar’s current situation of facing multiple adversaries at the same time.

Following the release of Future and Metro Boomin’s We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You albums, Drake found himself on the opposing side of Future, Metro, Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky and others.

“20V1 I can relate… [rolling on the floor laughing emoji],” Ja Rule tweeted. The New York City-bred recording artist also posted, “Hip-Hop is a family… and no one wins when the family feuds!!! Don’t let that go over your head… #hiphopvseverybody.”

Ja Rule infamously feuded with 50 Cent and the G-Unit collective. The bad blood between Ja and 50 has played out publicly for more than 20 years, drawing in other Murder Inc. acts. In addition, 50 Cent received backing from his musical mentors Eminem and Dr. Dre.

British television personality Piers Morgan recently asked Ja Rule about his longstanding issues involving 50 Cent, specifically questioning him about his online spat with him in February.

”I think I responded, I’m cool. I don’t get into the back and forth,” Ja stated on the Piers Morgan Uncensored show. He also added, “I really don’t do social media like that at all. I post, of course, to promote some of my things – but I’m really not the social media guy like that. I really don’t get into the back and forth with him.”

Coi Leray Wants Fans To Let Her Grow: “They’re Attached To Baby Coi”

Coi Leray has been putting out commercially successful songs for over three years. The Trendsetter album creator took to social media to express how fans likely see her as an artist.

“I feel like some of my fans in [their] mind won’t allow me to get older and grow. They are attached to baby Coi with the braids, but it’s okay to grow up. It’s okay to get older,” Coi Leray tweeted on Sunday (April 21).

When another X user mentioned missing seeing Coi Leray with her signature hairstyle, she replied, “Oh no baby, I’m getting braids this week my hair is finally grown out. But as I GROW into a [woman], I’m learning and discovering new things about myself. New desires, new interest, new icks, new [melodies], new flows, new topics etc.”

The daughter of media figure/rapper Benzino has dealt with body shaming since the start of her run as a recording artist. However, Leray told her X followers that she still views herself as sexually attractive despite her slender frame.

“With or without braids, tight clothes or baggy clothes… I always been a sex symbol. Always had confidence. Always wanted to f### myself. It’s naturally in me. [I don’t know] what to tell folks,” Coi Leray also posted on X.

Coi Leray experienced her first taste of platinum-certified success with 2021’s “No More Parties” single. The 26-year-old Massachusetts-born, New Jersey-raised rapper scored a Top 10 entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with 2022’s “Players.”

Future Ties Eminem As Only Fifth Rapper To Land 10 Chart-Topping Albums

Future and Metro Boomin have the most popular album in America. The rapper/producer duo’s We Still Don’t Trust You dethroned Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER for the No. 1 spot this week, opening with roughly 127,500 first-week units.

We Still Don’t Trust You serves as the sequel to We Don’t Trust You, which dropped in March. The project took the pole position three weeks after the latter led the rankings with more than 251,000 first-week units. Future now has 10 chart-topping projects on the Billboard 200. That total puts him in a fourth place tie with Eminem for rap artists. Eminem reached that milestone with 2020’s Music to Be Murdered By.

Jay-Z holds the all-time record for most No. 1 albums by a rapper. The Brooklyn-raised mogul has 14 Billboard 200 leaders. Drake comes in second with 13, followed by Kanye “Ye” West with 11.

Future and Metro Boomin recruited The Weeknd, Brownstone, Ty Dolla $ign, J. Cole, Lil Baby and A$AP Rocky as guest features for the We Still Don’t Trust You LP. Metro handled the production for the entire body of work.

Saweetie Says Warner Records Wouldn’t Clear Controversial “Icy Girl, Icy World” Single

Many Saweetie fans have been patiently waiting for the rapper to release a single tentatively titled “Icy Girl, Icy World.” The song sampled “Barbie Girl” by Aqua.

After teasing the record online, Saweetie’s version of the Danish-Norwegian pop group’s 1997 hit never made it to DSPs. The California native explained why “Icy Girl, Icy World” remained in the vault.

“So what happend to this?” an X user with a Nicki Minaj profile picture asked Saweetie on the social media platform. The tweet included a clip of the Warner recording artist rapping to the unreleased “Icy Girl, Icy World.”

Saweetie responded, “Warner wouldn’t clear it.” When questioned if she would consider releasing “Icy Girl, Icy World” like 2024’s “Immortal Freestyle,” she wrote, “Whew, this was [supposed] to pop the mixtape offfff!!!!!”

There was controversy surrounding the Aqua-sampling “Icy Girl, Icy World.” Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice used the same sample for their Grammy Award-nominated “Barbie World” collaboration.

“Barbie World” lived on the Barbie movie soundtrack. The single peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. However, songwriter Jason “Problem” Martin accused Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice of stealing the song’s concept from Saweetie.

“There are no rules,” Saweetie stated in a 2023 interview about the biting allegations. “It’s inspiration. I love to inspire, that’s my purpose here, and they look bomb as f### in the video. So it’s just like, ‘Okay, b####, I see you.’ Mine’s still coming out though.”

Jill Scott Defends Chris Brown Praise Despite Backlash Over Abuse Allegations

Jill Scott is responding to the hefty backlash on social media after praising Chris Brown.

Over the weekend, fans became incensed after Scott gave Brown his flowers for being multitalented.

“[Chris Brown] is amazing,” Jill Scott wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday (April 21), tagging the artist. “How does ANYBODY sing like THAT? Dance, look, Act and Rap… like THAT? Beyond gifted. It appears, exceptional people have to go through exceptional [fire emoji]. There’s nothing to debate.”

However, many social media users pointed to Brown assaulting Rihanna in 2009 and other allegations of domestic abuse. “I think the women he’s abused would disagree,” one user said.

“I doubt it,” Scott replied. “My Mother’s ex husband was a mean, violent human AND he could lay foundation better than anyone in my city. What he did with cement was awe inspiring. We got away. He got a raise and praise for his ability. God dealt with the rest.”

The backlash continued, but Scott stood by her initial post and replied to several of her critics. One fan said it was impossible to look past the allegations of violence.

“I’m not here to fight anymore else’s battles,” Scott added. “If/since women hear the stories, they should avoid that street. Running backwards in moving traffic makes zero sense. Therapy for every damn body.”

One thing Jill Scott isn’t prepared to defend Chris Brown over is his recent Quavo diss track. “I agree,” she said when a fan said Breezy “went too low” in his attack on the Migos rapper.

Despite her explanation, Jill Scott praising Chris Brown didn’t sit right with some fans, while others failed to see anything wrong. Check out some of the reactions below.

Offset Fights With Money-Thrower In NYC Club But Ends Night With Cardi B

Offset got into a scuffle with a clubgoer over the weekend after engaging in a money-throwing war at an NYC strip club.

The Migos rapper went viral after videos circulated online showing him tossing money into the air at Starlets strip club in New York on Saturday night (April 20).

After appearing to argue with someone in the crowd, Offset begins to walk off stage before turning around suddenly and leaping into the audience. He engages in a brief scuffle with partygoers, but security hauls him away before the situation escalates further.

While the events leading up to the skirmish are unclear, the DJ can be heard on the speakers telling guests to leave the building. “You aint gotta throw the money in his face. Chill! Relax, relax!” the DJ orders.

Da Band’s Freddy P Says He Tried To Kill Diddy After Mogul Threatened His Life

Freddy P claims he left Diddy’s MTV Making The Band 2 group Da Band because the Bad Boy Records founder threatened to kill him. According to Freddy P, he was so disturbed by the threat that he considered ending Diddy’s life and almost went through with it.

On the latest episode of The Art of Dialogue, Freddy P reflected on his departure from the group and the events leading up to it. He claimed a dispute in the studio led to Diddy promising to use his power to take him out.

At the time, he felt “frustrated with a lot of s### going on,” and was in a bad mood.

“Anyway, we get into a situation,” Freddy P recalled of his conversation with Diddy. “We in front of everybody, n#### like, “Man, what you think you bad or something?’ He was like, ‘N####, I’ll buy every house on your block, shut every light off in that b####, and every time you come out that b#### you’ll get popped.’”

He continued, “When he tell you some s### like that, you go to picture him purchasing every house, you going to picture every light going off, and that s### silenced me.”

Later in the conversation, Freddy claimed Diddy also threatened to have him maimed. “He was like, ‘You could walk out the studio right now and somebody just walk up and pop you.’”

Freddy claimed Diddy said ‘I don’t want to see you die or nothing,” but would have him shot in the knee to “humble” him.

Freddy P Lies In Wait For Diddy

Following the studio incident, Freddy P decided to quit the group and planned his revenge on Diddy. He went as far as lying in wait for the Hip-Hop mogul, but he never carried out his plan.

“Later on that night, I was trying to take his ass out,” Freddy confessed. “Me and my dog, God rest his soul, we had a G Wagon, and he had his little two twos, I had a little pistol on me or whatever. I had the Mac or whatever, and we were waiting on his p#### ass to come out.”

John Legend Eviscerates “Racist” Donald Trump: “He Believes Black People Are Inferior”

John Legend is not backing down on his disdain for Donald Trump, branding the former President a “tried and true, dyed-in-the-wool racist.”

During an interview with former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on MSNBC Sunday (April 21) to discuss his criminal justice reform advocacy, Legend said Trump’s racial prejudice is evident and insisted he has done little for Black people and is certainly not an ally.

“He’s made it clear throughout his life that he believes Black people are inferior,” Legend said. “He believes that to his core, in his bones, he wouldn’t let us live in his buildings back in the day. But also, when you hear some of the stray comments he makes, he clearly believes in a genetic hierarchy of humanity, and it’s racially determined. So, he is a tried and true, dyed-in-the-wool racist. In the core of his being, he’s a racist.

“So, I don’t want to hear what he has to say about what he’s done for Black people. He’s done very little for us and he is at his core, truly, truly a racist.”

John Legend Brands Donald Trump A “Fraudster”

Legend also discussed his own history with the criminal justice system, revealing his mother and other relatives spent time in jail. However, he said Trump is benefiting from pre-trial freedoms not afforded to the average citizen.

“There is a two-tiered justice system, but not in the way that he thinks. He’s the beneficiary, absolutely. The fact that he’s out in the world, that’s not normal for a lot of people,” Legend stated.

“He’s gotten away with a lot for a long time, he’s been a fraudster for a long time, he’s been cheating people for a long time, he’s been lying for a long time and he’s actually been litigating for a long time,” he added.

John Legend has long been a vocal critic of Donald Trump. In 2022, Legend revealed Kanye West’s years-long support for the MAGA leader hurt their relationship.

50 Cent Says “It’s A Wrap” For Quavo Unless He Fires Back At Chris Brown

50 Cent says Quavo needs to get in the booth and fire back at Chris Brown after Breezy dropped his latest diss aimed at the Migos rapper, “Weakest Link.”

Brown did not hold back on the scathing track, seemingly claiming he slept with Saweetie while she was still with Quavo.

“You f##### my ex-ho, that’s cool, I don’t give no f###, lil n####/ ‘Cause I f##### yo’ ex when you were still with her, b####, I’m up, lil n####,” Brown raps.

The “Sensational” hitmaker also says fans wished Quavo died instead of Takeoff.

“R.I.P. Takeoff, he the only real one, I got true respect/ Crazy how when he died, everybody really wished it was you instead,” he said, referencing the later Migos rapper.

While Chris Brown dropped the song last Friday (April 19), 50 Cent has only just heard it. The G-Unit honcho, no stranger to a rap beef or two himself, said the clock is ticking for Quavo to return with something explosive. He shared a snippet of “Weakest Link,” alongside some advice for the Georgia native.

“Oh my God i just heard this,” Fiddy exclaimed. “if Quavo don’t come with some heat it’s a wrap. First the Fatboys break up now this!”

Chris Brown and Quavo’s issues date back to 2017 when the latter was linked to the former’s ex, Karrueche Tran.

Brown’s latest diss comes after trading shots with Quavo earlier this month. Breezy targeted Huncho on “Freak,” while Quavo returned fire on “Tender” 24 hours later.

Skilla Baby Explains How Industry Pressure Produced New Album “The Coldest”

Detroit rapper Skilla Baby revealed he is dropping his brand new album amidst the pressures of his rapidly ascending Hip-Hop career.

Skilla Baby will unveil his highly anticipated album, The Coldest, on April 26.

The album features the lead single “Free Big Meech,” co-produced by MIA JayC and Lee Choppn.

The rapper said he has been fighting to maintain his artistic identity, which he painstakingly preserved, instead of the box the industry tries to place him in.

“The pressure of being a new artist, being successful, staying disciplined, and still clocking into the studio is very strenuous. But fun at the same time,” Skilla Baby shared about his journey and the making of The Coldest.

Skilla Baby has also teamed up with Rob49 out of New Orleans, to co-headline the “Vultures Eat The Most” Tour.

The tour will kick off on May 30 in Orlando, FL, and journey through major US cities, including Chicago, New York, and Boston, culminating in Dallas, TX, at the House of Blues on July 2.

Despite his rising star status and busy schedule, Skilla Baby remains connected to his roots and committed to making a positive impact.

His recent involvement in a firearms buyback event shows his dedication to curbing gun violence in his home city.

A Tribe Called Quest Named 2024 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Inductee

A Tribe Called Quest is among the eight performers being inducted into the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The news arrived via American Idol on Sunday (April 21) with co-hosts Lionel Richie and Ryan Seacrest unveiling this year’s class. Other inductees include Peter Frampton, Mary J. Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Kool & the Gang and Ozzy Osbourne.

Alexis Korner, John Mayall, Big Mama Thornton,  Jimmy Buffett, MC5, Dionne Warwick and Norman Whitfield will be inducted in separate categories, while former Motown executive Suzanne de Passe will receive the annual Ahmet Ertegun Award.

Phife Dawg’s mother, Cheryl Boyce-Taylor, tells AllHipHop, “I cried, screamed and jumped up and down when I heard the news. I’m thrilled for ATCQ, they truly deserve this. This group of young men changed the trajectory of Hip-Hop. So proud to call my beloved Malik, son.”

The nominees were originally announced in February. To be eligible for nomination, an individual artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. Ten of the 15 nominees were on the ballot for the first time, including Mariah Carey, Cher, Foreigner, Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Kravitz, Oasis, O’Connor, Osbourne and Sade.

It means, however, Eric B. & Rakim won’t get in this year—despite this being the second time they were nominated. Speaking to AllHipHop at the time, Eric B. was hopeful, saying, “Maybe it’ll happen this time. I feel great about it. Let me tell you, anytime anybody nominates you or thinks about you, you should feel great. I think it’s a long time coming. We’re all righteous guys and girls, so it’s on God’s time, not our time. I’d be just as appreciative if I won it the first time, so it’s great.”

While Eric B. & Rakim fans will cross their fingers for next year, A Tribe Called Quest is presumably celebrating. After all, it’s overdue. The legendary group’s debut album, People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, arrived 34 years ago in 1990, well within the range for consideration. ATCQ joins other Hip-Hop acts like the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five, Kool Herc and LL COOL J, among others.

This year’s ceremony takes place on October 19 in Cleveland and will once again stream live on Disney+ with a special airing on ABC at a later date. It will be available on Hulu the next day. The 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony streamed live on Disney+ for the first time ever; the special on ABC reached more than 13 million viewers across linear and streaming.

Nicki Minaj Criticized For Throwing Object Back Into Crowd After She’s Almost Hit

Nicki Minaj is under fire once again after she decided to throw back an object that nearly hit her into the crowd. Video of the rap superstar, who’s currently on The Pink Friday 2 Tour, started making the rounds on Saturday (April 21). In the clip, Minaj is seen rapping onstage at a stop in Detroit before something narrowly misses her head. Instead of letting it go, she picks up the object and throws it back into the audience.

While many people applauded the move, others thought it was reckless. As one person wrote, “Why she would throw it back in a crowd of people not knowing who threw it or who she actually hit?” Another said, “Well that was stupid!! What are the odds that she hit the same person who threw it. Most likely it was an innocent bystander who got hit that will now sue.”

Whatever the case, Minaj clearly wasn’t too bothered by it and continued the show.

The Pink Friday 2 Tour has been going well thus far. Although last week Nicki Minaj she alleged she was targeted by somebody intent on sabotaging the run. On Wednesday evening (April 17), moments before she was due to hit the stage, Minaj fired off a complaint about an alleged conspiracy to prevent her from performing in Montreal.

“Yesterday my flight scheduled for midnight shut their plane down @ 12:58pm,” she began a lengthy post. “Never in 15 years have I heard of anything like that. A 70K G4 and thought we were going to PAY THEM for that flight as well as whatever flight I’d have to get on next. They thought wrong. For a 930pm show in Canada. When we got to the plane, they then said they were ‘STILL FUELING.’ At 630pm, they said they were ‘still fueling’ (for an hour & a half flight).”

She followed up with another post in a Spaces chat on Twitter (X), insisting she was almost a victim of sabotage. She continued, “The plane had to time out and they wouldn’t be able to start until 6 A.M. The plane has to time out for a less than two-hour flight? You thought that you were going to be able to scam some money? They on they last legs, chile. A lot of people, they don’t really have a sure thing anymore. So, that’s why the desperation is starting to kick in.”

In any event, watch the new debacle above.
