VOTE: 10 REAL Reasons Why YOU Should Hit The Polls

I’ve never fully understood why people choose not to vote. Some of my smartest friends have abstained in the past, and while they had their reasons, I still didn’t really get it. Today, I understand it even less, because we can see clearly the implications of not hitting the polls. Voting isn’t everything; it’s just one of many tools we have to fight oppression, racism, and to hold elected officials accountable.

Meanwhile, you don’t see the other side telling their people not to vote. Quite the opposite—they encourage voting and bank on us not showing up.

Some people think voting doesn’t matter, until something serious happens—like finding themselves in front of an unrelenting judge or dealing with a brutish police officer. Strangely, they’ll feel the impact of not voting but won’t pull up to the polls. That’s how I see it, at least. It is time to fix that.

Yes, we absolutely need to build our own demands, and our leadership must step up. But that doesn’t cancel out the need to vote. So, here are more reasons to get to the polls. Sitting on the couch just leads to more generations suffering because we neglected our power in the present. Let’s get out there and make a change.

Here are 10 powerful reasons why we should show up to vote:

  • Honoring Our Ancestors
Our ancestors fought, marched, and died for the right to vote. Casting our ballots is a way to honor their sacrifices and continue the legacy.
  • Building Power
Voting amplifies our voices in shaping policies that impact our communities, from economic empowerment to criminal justice reform.
  • Representation Matters
Elected officials who share our experiences and values are more likely to push for change that directly benefits us. Voting makes this representation possible.
  • Shaping Future Generations
Our vote affects education, job opportunities, and social programs that will shape the future for our children and the next generation of leaders.
  • Holding Leaders Accountable
When we vote, we gain power to hold politicians accountable for their promises and demand action on issues impacting our communities.
  • Economic Justice
Voting influences policies around minimum wage, job creation, and fair housing—critical factors for building wealth and achieving economic stability in our communities.
  • Protecting Our Rights
The right to vote itself is under attack, and by voting, we protect this essential right, ensuring our voices are heard and respected.
  • Impacting Local Decisions
Local elections affect schools, policing, housing, and health care—issues that impact our day-to-day lives more than anything at the national level.
  • Counteracting Systemic Racism
Voting is a tool to challenge and dismantle policies that contribute to racial inequality. When we show up, we disrupt systems of oppression.
  • Inspiring Change and Empowerment
Voting is an empowering act that shows we’re not passive. By taking part, we inspire others to believe in their power to create positive change.

If you are still here, I’d like to offer one more substantive reason to vote – the Supreme Court appointments in the near future. This November, the future of the Supreme Court is at stake. During his first term, Trump appointed three justices — more than any president since Ronald Reagan. These appointments played a pivotal role in overturning Roe v. Wade, dismantling affirmative action, and rolling back gun safety laws — even after Trump left office. Run and tell a friend – this is beyond important. This is not the time to abstain from voting.

Snoop Dogg Considering Investing In Soccer Club: “Be Crazy Not To Take A Look”

Snoop Dogg is a man with diversified interests and a range of ventures, and his next one could take him to a Scottish soccer club.

The West Coast rap icon recently revealed he’s inspired by Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds, whose recent purchase of Welsh soccer team Wrexham was the subject of an FX documentary. The fifth-tier team secured two consecutive promotions after Reynolds and fellow actor Rob McElhenney took over the club in 2020 for $2.5 million.

Accordingly, Snoop Dogg believes he would be “crazy” to pass on the opportunity to invest in a soccer team, and he has a specific club in mind.

“Investing in a sports team has been something I have been looking at for a long time,” Snoop Dogg revealed to Scottish outlet Daily Record. “If the chance came to invest in Celtic, I would be crazy not to take a look at it.”

The Celtic Football Club compete in the top flight of Scottish soccer and are currently sitting atop the league with four wins in their last five games.

Back in 2022, Snoop Dogg congratulated the team after Celtic secured their 52nd Scottish title win.

Snoop Dogg Heaps Praise On Celtic Fans

“I have watched so much soccer in Europe but I have never seen fans like the Celtic fans. There is something so special about them,” Snoop added. “There is a reason why their fans are talked about across Europe – the best players and coaches in the world tell you there is nowhere like Celtic Park and I want to be a part of that.”

And it’s not just the fans. There’s another reason Snoop Dogg believes Celtic is the team for him.

“Their mascot is a hound – you couldn’t make that up,” he said. “Snoop Dogg becomes Hoopy the Hound – that’s gotta be a match made in heaven. The headlines write themselves.”

Meanwhile, in other Snoop Dogg news, his highly anticipated album produced by Dr. Dre finally has a release date. Missionary will be released on December 13.

Lil Uzi Vert In Hot Water With Heaven’s Gate Over “Eternal Atake 2” Artwork

Lil Uzi Vert is gearing up to release their highly anticipated project, Eternal Atake 2, but could face a legal challenge from former members of Heaven’s Gate.

Back in 2018, Uzi shared the artwork for the original Eternal Atake album, a remake of the Heaven’s Gate keyhole logo. The UFO religion, often described as a cult, is most known for the mass suicide of its members in 1997.

The group threatened to sue for copyright infringement, and according to former Heaven’s Gate members, Lil Uzi was forced to change it.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Uzi shared a UFO-themed trailer and artwork for Eternal Atake 2, complete with a new logo.

However, two members who reportedly control the group’s intellectual property vowed to take legal action if Lil Uzi “takes it too far” with Eternal Atake 2.

“Same as last time,” they told Complex. “Stay away from our Intellectual Property. Give the Group some respect. And don’t try to offer to buy us off, like last time. We do not want your money, no matter how much it is.”

They claimed Uzi’s original Eternal Atake artwork was “a distortion and misuse of our IP.” They added, “We took action and forced him to make changes in the product.”

The Heaven’s Gate Duo Say Lil Uzi’s Music Causes Brain Damage

Although Lil Uzi was inspired by the UFO religion, the former Heaven’s Gate followers are not fans of the Philly rapper’s music.

“We have not listened to Vert’s music,” they said. “Living in this world is hard enough as it is, and we do not need the brain damage involved in listening to his works.”

The duo also told the outlet that their lawyer previously succeeded in a legal battle with Uzi.

“He still stepped over the line in one circumstance,” they added. “But we got him to give up thinking he could use our IP to push his idea of him being a divine ‘leader’ and motivating his ‘followers’ to leave the planet. We will see if he takes it too far this time.”

Nonetheless, Lil Uzi has updated their previous works with the Heaven’s Gate-inspired Eternal Atake 2 logo. The project is slated to arrive November 1.

Rihanna On A Quest To Find Love For Eminem

Rihanna may be happily in love, but she’s on a mission to find romance for her friend Eminem.

While the Fenty founder is raising her two children with A$AP Rocky, her “Love the Way You Lie” is seemingly a confirmed bachelor. However, according to an insider, Rihanna is determined to find Eminem a girlfriend.

“Rihanna, like a lot of people in his life, can’t understand why he’s still single and she’s decided to make it her mission to find him a girlfriend,” a source explained to In Touch. “She knows him well enough to know what kind of woman would be a good match and she’s got lots of ideas about who to set him up with.”

Rihanna Believes Eminem Is “Letting Life Pass Him By”

However, the source said Em is reluctant to find love and is “closed off to the idea.

“He claims he’s happier on his own and doesn’t want to deal with the drama of dating, but Rihanna isn’t taking no for an answer,” the source added. “She thinks Eminem is letting life pass him by and has vowed that she’s going to help shake him out of this funk.”

Although Eminem appears to be single, he was previously married, twice, to his first love, Kimberly Scott. He tied the knot with the mother of his three daughters, Kimberly Scott, Hailie Jade Scott, Alaina Scott and Stevie Laine Scott, but they divorced in 2001.

Nonetheless, Em’s family continues to grow, recently announcing he is going to be a grandfather.

Meanwhile, Rihanna recently revealed she would love to add a little girl to her family. She shares two sons with A$AP Rocky, RZA 2 and Riot Rose, 14 months.

“I wouldn’t even know what to do with a girl since I only know boys so far. It would be a whole new adventure,” she told Entertainment Tonight at the Fenty x Puma Avanti launch last week.

Nonetheless, the superstar songstress loves being a boy mom.

“The boy energy is the best. I live for it,” Rihanna added. “There’s never a dull moment. I love when they’re climbing off chandeliers. They scare me to the point that I’m forced to have fun! Running around, lifting them up—it’s all fun and even keeps me in shape. It’s the best workout, for all of us.”

Diddy Scores Major Victory Against Jane Doe Sexual Assault Accuser

A woman suing Sean “Diddy” Combs for sexual assault must reveal her identity or face potential dismissal of her lawsuit.

The Tennessee resident sued Diddy, alleging he assaulted her at a party two decades ago when she was a 19-year-old college student. She filed her claim under a pseudonym, but a federal judge has ruled the case cannot proceed anonymously, according to abc News.

“Simply put, allegations of sexual assault, by themselves, are not sufficient to entitle a plaintiff to proceed under a pseudonym,” Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil said in her decision.

The judge disagreed with the accuser’s argument that she could face harm if her identity was known.

“Combs has had no contact with Plaintiff for the approximately 20 years since the alleged rape and Combs is currently detained pending trial,” Judge Vyskocil stated. “As such, counsel has not identified any present threat of physical harm to Plaintiff.”

Although the judge agreed that Jane Doe could face public scrutiny, she said it “does not outweigh the interests of both Combs and the public in the customary and constitutionally-embedded presumption of openness in judicial proceedings.”

Earlier this year, a woman with a “public-facing identity” asked a judge to maintain her anonymity in her lawsuit against Diddy and Bad Boy Records’ former president Harve Pierre.

“Because of my former employer’s power and influence, I fear that I will be harassed and ridiculed if my identity was made public in connection with these claims,” she explained. “I am concerned for my physical safety and the safety of my family.”

Diddy denies the allegations. He remains behind bars at MDC, awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Nicky Jam Gets Roasted After Walking Back Donald Trump Endorsement

Nicky Jam has walked back his endorsement of Donald Trump, sparking reactions from frustrated fans who believe the singer should never have backed the former president in the first place.

The U.S.-born, Puerto Rican-raised artist retracted his support after a speaker at Donald Trump’s recent rally called Puerto Rico “a floating island of garbage.”

He condemned the remarks in a Spanish-language video shared on his Instagram, per AP News

“The reason why I supported Donald Trump was because I thought he was the best for the economy in the United States, where many Latinos live, many of us Latinos live, myself included, many immigrants who are suffering because of the economy and him, being a businessman, I thought it was the best move,” Nicky Jam explained.

“Never in my life did I think that a month later, a comedian was going to come to criticize my country and speak badly of my country,” he added. “Therefore, I renounce any support for Donald Trump, and I sidestep any political situation. Respect Puerto Rico, Nicky Jam.”

However, his statement didn’t go down well on social media.

“So Nicky Jam was cool with everything Trump & his supporters have said about black people, Mexicans , women & LGBTQ community,” wrote one person. “But now that a comedian makes a joke about PR he withdraws his support from Trump [clown emoji].”

Check out some other reactions at the end of the page.

Donald Trump Misgenders Nicky Jam

Trump believed Nicky Jam was a woman when introducing the reggaeton artist at a rally last month.

“Latin music superstar Nicky Jam, do you know Nicky? She’s hot,” he said. Nicky Jam quickly blew off the gaffe before gushing over Donald Trump.

Donald Trump faced harsh criticism after his Madison Square Garden rally, with many condemning the speakers. Several artists, including Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin, showed support for Kamala Harris.

Naturi Naughton Reacts To 50 Cent’s “Insane” Remarks About Omari Hardwick

Naturi Naughton doesn’t share 50 Cent’s sentiments about their Power co-star Omari Hardwick, in fact, she thinks his remarks were “insane.”

Earlier this week, the G-unit founder expressed his frustrations with Hardwick, who believes he was underpaid as the lead actor on the hit STARZ show, starring as “Ghost.” According to 50 Cent, Hardwick “overvalues” himself.

Naturi Naughton, who played the role of Ghost’s wife, addressed 50 Cent’s remarks during a recent interview.

“That’s insane to me,” Naughton told TMZ Wednesday (October 30). “Omari is literally the epitome of Power. Omari Hardwick started this amazing journey and I don’t know all of what happened with 50 and O but I’ll say this, I love Omari Hardwick. He’s an amazingly talented human and he’s also a good person. But there would be no Power without Ghost.”

Ultimately, Naughton wants 50 Cent and Omari Hardwick to bury the hatchet. “I hope that they can find love and peace between each other,” she added.

Back in 2022, Hardwick said his $150,000 per episode of Power was too low, considering he was “the face of the network.” He also claimed, “I still haven’t made what I should have made,” revealing he borrowed money from 50 Cent during production breaks.

50 Cent On His Relationship With Omari Hardwick

However, earlier this week, 50 Cent revealed they’re still not on good terms.

“I think he overvalues himself,” he said on The Breakfast Club. “Because…it’s been a long time since he’s been in Power, why are we not excited about the new projects?”

He added, “If there was noise going on, if he was that big of a draw, then we would see noise, we would see new things happening, we’d see you out where you’re actively in a place where they’re looking for you.”

Ray J Tells Nicki Minaj What Really Happened During Altercation With Diddy’s Sons

Ray J explained his altercation with three of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sons during a conversation with Nicki Minaj, and the NYC rapper was not impressed.

Earlier this week, news of a scuffle between the Combs Siblings, Christian, Quincy and Justin, and the singer at an L.A. club surfaced online. There were rumors of a fight between them, and Nicki Minaj wanted to know the details when Ray J hopped on her Instagram Live.

After dodging the question with an irrelevant, rambling answer, he confirmed what happened. According to Ray J, it’s not the first time he’s had a run-in with Diddy’s sons.

“We didn’t have a fight. We had a big argument right outside the club,” Ray J explained before Minaj asked who started it. “This time, I think I got loud and got aggressive. But it was the third time this happened and so I felt like I needed to stand up for myself.”

Ray J claimed that although he was “talking s###” and he and Diddy’s sons exchanged “a lot of crazy words,” he attempted to diffuse the situation.

“I was walking that way to avoid the issue,” he added. “So that’s what happened, and it’s unfortunate. But what’s dope is that we all got on the phone, and we talked for about 35 minutes.”

When Nicki Minaj quizzed Ray J, asking what they were arguing about, he admitted, “Comments I was making on my show.”

Earlier this month, Ray J mocked Diddy during a wild rant on his new show, “The Reality Check News.”

He joked about the allegations saying, “A#### are being taken,” and made a wisecrack about coming out with a baby oil line.

Ray J “Wasn’t Proud” Of What He Said To Diddy’s Sons

Ray J continued to discuss his issue with Diddy’s sons while talking to Nicki Minaj. He even repeated the jokes from his news segment.

“It was just a crazy night,” he said. “I got over cocky and said some things that were out of bounds. I said some over the top things that had to do with sodomy and other things and I wasn’t proud of myself about what I did.”

Ray J previously explained that eight men, including the Combs siblings, tried to rush him. However, he credits Chris Brown with stepping in and preventing things from getting out of hand.

Keke Palmer Explains How USHER Concert Incident Led To Restraining Order On Child’s Father

Keke Palmer is telling her side of the story involving the public fallout that occurred within her family unit following a viral interaction with USHER at one of his concerts last year.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Palmer opened up about how the viral incident with Usher at his concert ultimately led her to file a restraining order against her ex, Darius Jackson, who is also the father of her child.

The controversy began when Jackson took to Twitter to express his disapproval of Palmer’s outfit at the concert, a sheer black dress layered over a matching thong bodysuit. In her initial remarks on the incident, Palmer downplays her interaction with USHER and explains that it was all supposed to be apart of a “fun” moment she was creating with him.

“I get that people feel like celebrities all know each other, or they’re thinking in their mind that,” Keke Palmer said in part.

“I mean, ultimately I was doing what I do as an entertainer, as I was creating a fun moment. That’s what he [Usher] does with every entertainer that comes to his show. How it became a genuine storyline of that me and USHER in love, or me and Usher have something going on, I don’t know how it got there, but usually, as we all know, things are never really what they seem.”

However, Jackson ended up causing a stir after he publicly criticized her sheer outfit on by going off on a rant in a retweet he shared featuring a video of Palmer being serenaded by USHER during his Las Vegas residency.

He tweeted, “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom (sic).” When he came under fire for publicly shaming his partner’s look, Jackson simply doubled down on his stance.

“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” he tweeted. “This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”

Palmer explained that even though she viewed the situation differently than Jackson, considering it was just a concert, the incident spiraled into public speculation about her relationship, which she says she was shocked to see unfold, in addition to Jackson’s comments.

“I was just at a concert… it was not that reality for me,” she said. “I was speechless… I was just shocked.”

Describing the public reaction and her ex’s social media comments, Palmer added, “I didn’t have no words, and it’s not reality… I didn’t want to engage with something that wasn’t reality.”

She expressed frustration over the spread of misinformation, explaining that taking legal steps was her way of bringing order to her family.

“The only way that you know how to bring order or control to something is the court, she said.

Palmer concluded by sharing that the court action has brought her a sense of clarity and peace, as she remarked, “I feel very at ease now… there’s a calm.”

Keke Palmer and Jackson announced their relationship and the birth of their child last year, which initially sparked joy among fans. However, Palmer went on to accuse her Jackson of domestic violence and was granted temporary sole custody of her and Darius’ then nine-month-old son Leodis in December 2023. Palmer was also given a temporary restraining order, which barred Jackson from coming within 100 yards of her and their son.

Lil Nas X Catches Stray Shots From Slim Thug During His “Best Rapper” Rant

Lil Nas X has become the topic of conversation for another rapper known for their outspoken activity on social media after Slim Thug followed Azealia Bank’s critical remarks with a hot take of his own.

Slim Thug recently took to Instagram Live to lay down his thoughts on what it truly means to be the best rapper, using Lil Nas X as a prime example of why chart success doesn’t equate to greatness.

“Lil Nas came out and went number one and was the most popular,” Slim Thug began, acknowledging the success of Old Town Road.

“Is he the best rapper? No.”

Slim Thug made it clear that while a song’s popularity can skyrocket an artist to mainstream fame, it doesn’t necessarily qualify them as the best.

“If you talk about number one songs, whose song was on there the longest… it’ll look like that. Not to say his s##t ain’t tight.” he added, showing respect for Old Town Road’s accomplishments.

Slim Thug didn’t stop there—he took aim at how popularity in America often favors commercial appeal, rather than lyrical skill. In doing so, he quickly noted that some artists only have a “hot time” and may fade after a big hit, due to lacking the depth and longevity that mark a truly great rapper.

“If he doing numbers that mean he the most commercial,” he said. “Everybody listening to him, all races. That’s what that means.”

Slim Thug continued, defending those artists whose music may be “too real” for broad appeal.

“The best rapper ain’t the most popular,” he said. “That just means the white folks f##k with him. We in America. Some s### might be too deep for the commercial people to understand.”

Lil Nas X was similarly criticized out of nowhere days before hand on October 27 when Azealia Banks claimed he fell off in a rant on Twitter.

“Lil Nas X really fell off so hard,” Banks wrote. “Lmfao that little cntrag swore she was the tea. Btch has NO BARS. Hahahahaahahahaa.”

While it appears as though Lil Nas X doesn’t have any words for Slim Thug, yet, he quickly replied to Bank’s criticism with a petty remark.

“azealia i could never make a hit song again and you would still never in ur bussy soap selling chicken sacrificing botched body hating ass miserable life reach a 10th of my success,” Lil Nas X wrote before adding, “Love ur music btw.”

Diddy Bodyguard Accused Of Sexually Assaulting A Man During “Making The Band”

A Making the Band contestant claimed he was sexually assaulted by Sean “Diddy” Combs and the mogul’s bodyguard in a lawsuit filed by attorney Tony Buzbee. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, the plaintiff said the abuse occurred while he was auditioning for Diddy’s reality show.

“On the first day of the audition, during a one-on-one interview, Combs asked Plaintiff hypothetical questions about handling situations involving sexual pressure,” the lawsuit read. “As Combs described these scenarios, he began to sexually assault Plaintiff by touching Plaintiff both over and under his clothing, including groping and fondling his penis and instructing Plaintiff to undress. While he groped Plaintiff, Combs engaged in sexually explicit behavior, including masturbating himself. Throughout this encounter, Combs emphasized his power to control Plaintiff’s future in the music industry, stating that he had the ability to ‘make or break’ Plaintiff’s career.”

The plaintiff, identified as John Doe, was 17 years old when he auditioned for Making the Band. He went through what was described as a “longer interview process” on the second day.

“During this interview, Combs again instructed Plaintiff to undress, explaining that Plaintiff needed to demonstrate the ability to embody a ‘sex idol’ persona, which was purportedly required for the band’s image,” the lawsuit alleged. “This encounter eventually escalated into Combs forcing the Plaintiff to perform oral sex on him and Combs sodomizing the Plaintiff.”

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

Diddy’s bodyguard allegedly got involved in the abuse on the third day. John Doe said he was eliminated from Making the Band for not reacting the way Diddy wanted.

“On the third day, Combs introduced his bodyguard ‘T’ into the sexual advances,” the lawsuit explained. “Combs framed this as a test of Plaintiff’s willingness to do anything necessary to succeed in the music industry. ‘T’ requested oral sex from Plaintiff, and while Plaintiff complied due to force, Combs sexually assaulted Plaintiff again, simultaneously groping and fondling both Plaintiff and the bodyguard. Plaintiff’s facial expressions during this ordeal showed his discomfort and hesitation, prompting Combs to express dissatisfaction. Combs stated that Plaintiff’s demeanor suggested an intention to report the incidents, and as a result, Combs said he would be ‘keeping an eye’ on Plaintiff. Ultimately, this led to Plaintiff’s elimination from the competition as Combs claimed that Plaintiff was untrustworthy due to his reservations about performing oral sex on his bodyguard.”

John Doe is one of more than 150 people suing Diddy for sexual assault. The Bad Boy Records founder is currently in custody on sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution charges.

Snoop Dogg Finally Announces Dr. Dre-Produced “Missionary” Album Release Date

Snoop Dogg set the release date for Missionary, his highly anticipated album produced by Dr. Dre. The follow-up to the 1993 classic Doggystyle will be released on December 13.

The D-O-Double-G unveiled the release date in a comedic skit. Two Mormon missionaries are shocked to see a woman in lingerie when they ring her doorbell in the sketch.

“What the f###?” she said. “Your ad said you’re dedicated to missionary work.”

The flustered missionaries dropped the Book of Mormon and fled the scene before the big reveal.

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have been teasing their Missionary album for two years. Dr. Dre said they were close to finishing the project in August.

“I wanted 14 songs, Snoop wants 16, so we have that thing happening,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m on song No. 11 as far as the mixes go.”

He added, “I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career.”

Earlier this year, Snoop Dogg presented Dr. Dre with ASCAP’s Hip-Hop Icon Award. The beloved rapper hyped their Missionary album during his speech.

“There’s a reason why I keep coming back to Dr. Dre,” Snoop Dogg said. “We make magic together. We’ve been doing this s### for over three decades, and we still at it … Trust me, the best is yet to come.”

Young Thug Trial: 2 More Defendants Walk Away With Plea Deals—Is He Next?

Two more of Young Thug’s co-defendants agreed to plea deals in the YSL RICO trial on Wednesday (October 30). Rodalius Ryan and Marquavius Huey entered guilty pleas the day after Quamarvious Nichols accepted a deal in the topsy-turvy case.

Ryan pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. Judge Paige Reese Whitaker sentenced him to 10 years, which was commuted to time served. Ryan remains in custody as he’s serving a life sentence for murder.

Huey pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act, aggravated assault, robbery, gun and gang charges. The judge sentenced Huey to 25 years with nine to be served in prison. The rest will be spent on probation with five years suspended. Huey has already spent two years in custody.

Young Thug, Yak Gotti and Shannon Stillwell are the only defendants remaining in the YSL RICO trial. Ryan, Huey and Nichols accepted plea deals amid calls for a mistrial.

The defense demanded a mistrial due to the prosecution making a mistake on October 23. A witness revealed Nichols was previously incarcerated, which the jury wasn’t supposed to know, during testimony.

Judge Whitaker refused to grant a mistrial with prejudice, which would block the prosecution from retrying Young Thug and his co-defendants. She left the door open for a mistrial without prejudice and criticized prosecutors for their sloppiness. The prosecution and defense engaged in plea deal negotiations due to the looming threat of a mistrial.

Young Thug’s trial began in 2023. It is the longest trial in Georgia history.

Tyler, The Creator Explains “Chromakopia” Mask As Album Heads For No. 1

Tyler, The Creator latest album, Chromakopia, is set to deliver the largest debut of his career.

According to HITS Daily Double, Chromakopia is projected to appear at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 following projections that the album is poised to move more than 285,000 first-week units. Not only could the project earn Tyler his highest-selling debut ever, it’s also already his most authentic, based on his own words.

At his recent Chromakopia listening event, the Los Angeles native openly shared how the album dives into his truest thoughts and emotions. He explained that the album is free of exaggerations and theatrics—a rarity for the notoriously creative and sometimes elusive artist.

“I know this new album is a little different, but this is the first album where everything I said is true,” Tyler began, speaking to a packed crowd.

Tyler admitted that the album’s authenticity led him to adopt a literal mask as part of his promotion, covering his own face to reveal his inner world.

“I had to wear a mask of my own face to get some of that s##t out,” he confessed.

Tyler, The Creator revealed that despite achieving material success, his journey remains fraught with existential questions and a sense of uncertainty that permeates his music. To him, this project is deeply personal, as he shared the complex feelings that drove him during its creation.

“I’m loaded,” he said. “I got bread, bro. I got respect. I got Grammys and s##t, and I’m still like, ‘Hey, what the f##k am I doing with my life?'”

The album, he disclosed, also strikes a chord with his inner circle. Friends have reached out to him with raw reactions, validating the vulnerability he poured into the music.

“I got n###as I’m close to FaceTiming me with tears in eyes, like, ‘n###a, my heartstrings,'” he added. “For those of y’all who’s kind of weird, look, you might be f###### 13 and might not still f### I’m saying… Or it might be the worst s### you’ve ever heard in your life. And that’s OK.”

Chromakopia follows three critically acclaimed albums that solidified Tyler, The Creator as a force on the Billboard charts. His 2017 album, Flower Boy, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, moving roughly 106,000 units in its first week. Two years later, IGOR earned him his first No. 1 debut, selling more than 165,000 units. His follow-up project, CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, replicated that success in 2021 after selling over 169,000 units in its opening week. Check out the full video of Tyler’s speech in the post above.

Sexyy Red Manager Impostor Arrested For Sexual Battery

Police arrested a man claiming to be Sexyy Red’s manager for armed sexual battery and false imprisonment with a weapon on Tuesday (October 29). Vladimir Joseph was accused of forcing a woman to do cocaine at gunpoint and raping her, per WPLG Local 10 in Florida.

Joseph claimed he was “working an event” for Sexyy Red at a strip club in the Miami area. He approached a woman outside the club and told her he was the rapper’s manager. Joseph identified himself as “Alexander Beamer.”

“Vladimir Joseph is not her manager,” Sexyy Red’s rep told WPLG.

The victim and three men got in Joseph’s car. Joseph drove her to his home. He allegedly pointed a gun at the woman’s head and made her ingest cocaine.

“Take it or I will kill you,” the 41-year-old man said.

According to the police report, Joseph forced the woman to go upstairs. He raped her “for several hours.” He “recorded her performing sex acts on him” then “forced the victim to take a shower and continued sexually assaulting her.”

Joseph sent his victim home in a Lyft. He provided her with the ride details, which helped her identify her attacker and tell police where the incident occurred.

The man posing as Sexyy Red’s manager surrendered to police. He was held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Beyoncé Fans Expose Fox News Guest Panelist’s Queen Bey Support Prior To Harris Rally Shade

Beyoncé‘s loyal fan base has once again exposed an individual critical of her career, following her appearance at vice president Kamala Harris’ recent campaign rally.

To make a long story, a man whose name is Xaviaer DuRousseau found himself in the crosshairs of the Beyhive after he made critical remarks about her commercial success immediately following her endorsement of the Vice President at the rally Harris’ hosted in her hometown of Houston.

During an appearance on Fox News at Night, DuRousseau undermined Beyoncé‘s speech at the rally and her support for Harris by throwing shade on the Grammy award-winning vocalist over her recent Billboard Chart appearances. He started off by claiming that Harris was “desperate” for support and endorsements, hence Beyoncé’s appearance at the rally.

“She’s absolutely desperate,” DuRousseau said. “I mean she’s out here bringing every celebrity she can to try to get any kind of endorsement because she knows she doesn’t have any substance herself. She brought Beyoncé out tonight. And it’s like Beyoncé doesn’t need to be doing that. Beyoncé needs to be focused on trying to keep her album on the charts because it’s already gone.”

In a tweet he shared following his appearance in the segment, DuRousseau attempted to grab the bull by the horns and further lean into his controversial stance against Beyoncé by targeting her fanbase.

“The bravest thing I’ve ever done in my career is drag Beyoncé on live TV,” DuRousseau wrote in part. “The BeyHive are domestic terrorists.”

In the end, the Beyhive wound up getting the last laugh as multiple Twitter users flocked to the replies in the thread of DuRousseau’s tweet to host a paperwork party by pulling the receipts illustrating his previous stan-like support of both Beyoncé and JAY-Z.

In a tweet he shared in June 2023, DuRousseau complained that “conservatives” persecuted him over his “obsession” with Beyoncé and JAY-Z and even suggested that he will happily continue his support of them in defense of the pushback he receives from his right winged peers.

“Conservatives DRAG me every time I say this, but I’m obsessed with the carters and will defend them as I’m on their payroll,” he wrote in part. “JAY-Z and Beyoncé are a Royal Family.”

DuRousseau also previously expressed his opinion that Beyoncé is more popular than multiple other mainstream superstars who dominate genres such as pop and rock — and also happen to be white.

”Beyoncé is objectively more talented than the Beatles if we’re having an honest conversation,” he previously wrote in a tweet.

In another tweet in response to an X user who claimed Taylor Swift was the equivalent of being the “Donald Trump pop music for white women” DuRousseau wrote, “and Beyoncé is Barack Obama.”

The outpouring of angry Beyoncé fans dragging him for seemingly switching up on her overnight became so prevalent that it prompted a formal response from DuRousseau. Unsurprisingly enough, he both switched up, again, and doubled down on his initial shady remarks.

”Update: Beyoncé is sending her [bee emoji] swarm after me,” he wrote in a tweet. “ doesn’t change the fact that her album fled the charts like Harriet Tubman in the middle of the night. PF2 [Nicki Minaj ‘Pink Friday 2’] out-charted.”

Diddy’s Dirty Money Singer Calls Fellow Member “A Weird MF” While Defending Him

Dirty Money singer Kalenna Harper discussed Diddy’s legal troubles, Dawn Richard’s lawsuit and more in an interview published on Wednesday (October 30). Harper told Breakbeat Media she was blindsided by Richard suing Diddy.

“I was angry,” Harper said. I was p##### … Dawn knows me. And she knows all she ever had to do if something was going on was to say something and it would’ve been f###### on like Donkey Kong. Like what the f### you talking ‘bout? We woulda jumped that n####. We woulda got the f### outta there or whatever. But that wasn’t the case. To be honest with you, though me and Puff garnered a closer relationship, going into it, Dawn and Puff were closer. They had rapport.”

Harper questioned the legitimacy of Richard’s allegations. Harper repeatedly described her fellow Dirty Money member as “weird.”

“I think it’s—I don’t wanna say b#######, but I think maybe Dawn is—I don’t know,” Harper said. “I ain’t gonna sit here and lie and shame the devil. But I will say broke m############ will do anything for money. And I just want what she saying to be the truth ‘cause I’m confused.”

Richard sued Diddy for sexual abuse days before his September arrest. Diddy was indicted for sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Diddy was denied bail partly due to witness tampering concerns. Prosecutors cited dozens of calls to Harper as evidence of tampering.

“They denied Puff’s bail because he called me 56 times,” Harper said. “I feel really bad … Now we’re doing recall, so that’s not tampering. That’s f###### recall ‘cause that b#### is lying. That’s how I felt … And I’m gonna f###### stand on business. I didn’t see that. In every video you see us in, Dawn didn’t look scared … What I saw was what the f###### is going on with you ‘cause you acting weird. You a weird b#### is what I see. And it’s a list of n#####. Where y’all at? Talk about it. Dawn’s a weird m###########, man.”

Harper added, “I ain’t trying to m############ go to jail or no s###. But y’all m############ call me to tell the truth, I’ma tell the truth, I’m finna m############ tell the truth. All of it. ‘Cause everybody was f###### there and a part of this s###. N##### was f###### n#####. B###### was saying they like to f### b######. Everybody was there with the s####.”

Diddy’s criminal trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025. He faces up to life in prison if convicted.

Will 6ix9ine’s Latest Arrest Lead To His Permanent Demise?

6ix9ine‘s career has been plagued by legal issues since its onset. In fact, he was already in trouble when his “GUMMO” track caught fire in 2017. But could his latest arrest lead to his permanent demise?

The controversial rapper was arrested on October 29 for violating terms of his supervised release, which were put in place following his 2018 case connected to the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. He’s accused of testing positive for meth use twice and traveling outside of the country without permission.

He was immediately sent to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, the same facility that’s currently housing Diddy. A judge set his next hearing for November 12, meaning rap’s most infamous “snitch” has to sit behind bars for roughly two more weeks.

New York City attorney Moe Gangat had the same question for the judge who sent 6ix9ine back to jail. As he explained in an Instagram video, 6ix9ine was placed under supervision by the federal government for five years as part of his plea deal. He stayed out of trouble for the majority of the time, but 2024 has seen a slew of run-ins with the law.

“For 4.5 years he had no problems,” Gangat says in the clip. “But this year, July, apparently his monitoring office changed from New York to Florida. One, he failed drugs tests and two, he’s traveling without letting the officers know he’s going to be traveling with sufficient notice.

“Those two things he’s claiming he’s done a couple of times now. Then, they’re asking him to be held with no bond pending an evidentiary hearing. Then a judge said, ‘Yeah, you’re right. No bond until an evidentiary hearing.” He’s gonna sit in a federal jail as the biggest and notorious rat in the history of the culture, and he’s going to be in a federal jail for at least two weeks.

He concluded, “You gotta ask yourself, judge. This guy did 4.5 years without any issue, failed a drug test and didn’t let the officers know where he was going to be traveling without sufficient notice, and you locked him up for two weeks as the most notorious rat of all time?”

6ix9ine has boasted numerous times about walking around without security following his 2020 release from prison. But will he remain unscathed behind bars? Only time will tell.

During his latest hearing, 6ix9ine was confronted about his positive drug tests, which he claimed were misunderstandings: “Adderall has meth in it. It’s just a mistake.” He was officially arraigned on three violations: traveling to Las Vegas without permission, failure to appear for drug testing and using narcotics.

6ix9ine pleaded not guilty to the charges, but attorneys presented proof of his alleged unauthorized trip to Las Vegas on September 7, in addition to a back-dated letter from August through September from a doctor in Florida, who reported he tested positive for meth “two times in the last two weeks.”

Ice-T Explains Why He “Hates” Finding Out Some Of His “Friends” Are Trump Supporters

Ice-T has gone further to express his disdain for Donald Trump and included his supporters in a recent Twitter (X) post.

“As this election gets closer, I warned you to expect insanity,” he wrote. “What I hate the most is finding out that people I consider friends are racists. They may like me but talk sh#t about other races openly—and probably don’t like other Black people. ‘Make America Great Again‘ (by the way, America is a continent, including Mexico). I’m not Democrat or Republican, but character is more important to me than politics. F### [clown face emoji] and those that roll with him.”

This is not nearly the first time Ice-T has expressed himself around the one-time president and reality show star. In 2020, he notably said, “I can’t believe people are comparing Trump to Satan. Yes, he’s evil, but he’s certainly not as evil as Trump.”

He’s expanded on his thoughts during multiple interviews with AllHipHop.

Speaking to AllHipHop last month, he said, “So, Trump – to me – has shown in many, many ways how much of a piece of sh#t he is. I don’t think he likes Black people unless it’s to his advantage—he’s an opportunist. Me, being a [former] criminal, I know a con artist when I see one. I know somebody who will say whatever they need to say.

“He might have done a couple things, pardoned a couple people, but as for being the president, I won’t vote for Trump. I’ll tell you that. All these people saying, ‘Oh yeah, I’m down with Trump,’ I’m like—you got a PPP loan and this [N-word] made you some sneakers, and you’re f##kin’ with him? Nah, I’m good.”

More than 51 million Americans have already cast their ballots in early voting, with less than a week left before Election Day. Both parties are leaning heavily into last-minute appeals aimed at still-undecided voters.

Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, defended himself against controversial introductory speeches at his recent Madison Square Garden event, which were widely criticized as crude and racist.

“I’m the opposite of a Nazi,” Trump said to a sparse audience of many that left early.

Democratic nominee and sitting Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a rousing speech at the Ellipse in front of an estimated over 75,000 people.

Harris choose the spot as a symbolic gesture as it was the stage once used by Trump before the Capitol insurrection of January 6, 2021.

A CBS News poll, released Tuesday (October 29), has Trump and Harris locked in a statistical tie in Pennsylvania, the largest battleground state by electoral votes. Other battle ground states are Arizona, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Death Row Records Co-Founder Harry-O Endorses Donald Trump At NYC Rally

Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris expressed his gratitude to Donald Trump at his New York City rally over the weekend, officially endorsing the former President for reelection.

Harris spent over three decades in prison following his arrest for attempted murder and drug trafficking. Trump granted Harris clemency as one of his last actions as president, freeing him on his last day in office.

On Sunday (October 28), the former drug lord spoke at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally. Harris paid tribute to Trump and praised him for giving him a second chance.

“If it wasn’t for Donald Trump, I wouldn’t be standing here today,” Harris told the crowd. “So I wanna thank President Donald Trump for allowing me for stand here in front of you today. It’s a bigger story — gotta let you know about it!”

He added, “God spoke to his heart and Donald Trump signed with his heart my release after 33 years. God spoke to his heart.”

When Harris spoke to AllHipHop earlier this month, he had not decided on a candidate.

“My concern is the community first and whoever supports that,” he explained. “I thanked Trump for letting me out. I done that. You know what I mean? Three years ago, I thanked him for that. I really meant that. I thank God every day for that. But when it comes to the community, I don’t play with that. So it’s about who has the policies or are willing to get behind policies that will affect our daily lives.”

Meanwhile, Harris faced criticism over his appearance at the rally and endorsement of Donald Trump. He posted footage from the event on Instagram, sparking some angry responses.
