Cardi B Fuels Rumors Of Confrontation With Another Rapper At Oscar Party

Cardi B stirred up more chatter about her beefing with fellow rappers on social media. The Atlantic Records artist admitted she had a run-in with “somebody” at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday night (March 10).

“I definitely ran into somebody,” she told someone over the phone while broadcasting on Instagram Live. “I’m practically on Live right now, so I can’t tell you. But I’m gonna tell you as soon as I get the f### off this phone. So far, it went smooth. It went smooth. It went smooth. I definitely ran into somebody. You know. You know me. I don’t play that s###. But I’ll call you later ‘cause I’m on Live. I’ll tell you all the tea later.”

Cardi B’s comments elicited wild speculation on gossip outlets and social media. Saweetie and Ice Spice also attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, which led to both women’s names getting dragged into the Cardi B-related rumors. Fans assumed Saweetie was the “somebody” due to a vague post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“im rlly just a bad btch that mind her business… if you don’t like me that’s on u & ya mama boo,” she wrote.

Saweetie quickly downplayed the situation when an X user questioned her about the “tea.”

“The gworls talmbout my twins,” she wrote, referencing her breasts.

The latest Cardi B drama emerged a little over a week after she dropped her song “Like What (Freestyle)” along with a music video directed by Offset. The video featured a teaser, which told fans to stay tuned because the track was “just the beginning” of her 2024 plans.

Cardi B vowed to finally release her sophomore album after the song’s release. Fans have been waiting years for the follow-up to 2018’s Invasion of Privacy, her Grammy-winning debut album.

Ghanaian/Brooklyn Hip-Hop Artist Blackway Parlays Busta Rhymes Song To Powerful First Album

Blackway’s latest LP, What I’ve Been Missing, emerges as a milestone in his journey, seamlessly weaving together his Ghanaian heritage and Brooklyn upbringing. The track “Sika Mami” stands out as a prime example of Blackway’s ability to meld intelligent Hip-Hop with melodic Afrobeats influences, marking a significant evolution in his sound.

Travis Scott Tapped For “SNL” Performance

Travis Scott will return to Saturday Night Live as a musical guest. NBC’s long-running, late-night sketch comedy show announced Scott’s upcoming appearance on the program.

Fans of Travis Scott will have the chance to watch him perform on the March 30 edition of SNL. The Utopia album creator will be part of an episode that also includes Poor Things actor Ramy Youssef as the host.

Both Astroworld and Utopia topped the Billboard 200 weekly album rankings. The latter project remained in the chart’s lead position for four weeks after debuting at No. 1 with 496,000 first-week units in 2023.

Are Remy Ma And Papoose Working It Out?

Some of us are still holding out for “Black Love.” Remy Ma and Papoose made the term popular for our era. And then, “Poof,” it all seemed to go away in scandal. Recently, I saw them celebrating his birthday online, and there was Remy. I was like, “YO! Are they back together?” I have been following for quite some time, keeping the faith. And then, “Poof,” the video I had seen was taken down. I did not even see enough of it to really make a determination. Well, you know the internet will do the work for us. Here’s the video:

So, now that you have seen the video, what do you think? I think they look like they are doing it for their baby, Reminisce. Isn’t she gorgeous? I would make it work for her too. If nothing else, I think they are in a “cordial space,” and there is no friction. They sit down and have dinner as well. It could be a nice step forward or nothing at all. I suppose we’ll find out.

Pap has never stopped wearing his wedding ring. I believe he’s going to keep that on until they are divorced. I believe in them. I hope they believe in them too!

Here’s our last Remy interview!

Kanye West’s Daughter North West Announces “Elementary School Dropout” Album

Last night at the Vultures 2 experience in Phoenix, the crowd erupted into cheers not just for Kanye West but for a surprise announcement made by his daughter, North West.

The young star took the stage, revealing her plans to release her debut album titled Elementary School Dropout.

This news comes amidst the anticipation surrounding Kanye West’s own musical ventures, including his recent release, Vultures 1, and the awaited Vultures 2.

North West’s announcement marks a significant moment in the West family’s musical legacy, linking her aspirations to her father’s path but with a unique twist.

Kanye West, whose career skyrocketed after the release of his debut album College Dropout in 2004, has since become a global icon in the music industry.

Kanye’s influence is evident in his daughter’s bold choice of album title, Elementary School Dropout, suggesting that she, too, aims to make a statement in the music world.

Vultures 1, Kanye’s recent album, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, amassing 148,000 equivalent units, including 18,000 pure sales, according to Billboard.

This achievement adds another feather to Kanye’s cap and sets a high bar for his forthcoming project.

However, fans have been left in suspense as Vultures 2 has missed its initial release date, leaving many wondering what Ye has in store.

Ty Dolla $ign Reveals Personal Details About “Vultures 2” Cover Art

Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West still plan to release the second installment in their Vultures album series. The Hip-Hop/R&B duo, collectively known as ¥$, unveiled the sequel’s official cover art.

Vultures 2’s artwork features a masked man holding the photo of another man. Some fans assumed Kanye West was the person behind the face covering in the image.

However, Ty Dolla $ign cleared up the speculation. An Instagram user questioned why the Vultures 2 cover supposedly did not include Ty. The Los Angeles-bred performer responded, “This is me holding a picture of my brother, TC, fyi.”

Ty Dolla $ign has incorporated his sibling, Gabriel “TC” Griffin, into his content in the past. The singer/songwriter’s 2015 debut album, Free TC, served as a dedication to his incarcerated brother.

“After Free TC, he just got hella attention and something happened where it got back to them and he ended up getting locked in the hole for a long ass time,” Ty admitted in 2017.

Vultures 2 does not have an official release date yet. Following multiple delays, Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West put out Vultures 1 on February 10. That project has spent two weeks atop the Billboard 200 chart.

Yung Miami Snaps On Troll Saying Her Career Flopped

Yung Miami is known to fire back at her online critics. For example, the City Girls member, born Caresha Brownlee, recently had some words for a social media user who slammed her career.

“Caresha just be outside doing anything,” the @ButtaScotchPap1 X account wrote. The person continued, “That’s why that career is flopping how it is… every damn second this b#### in the club shaking her ass instead of working on her craft.”

In response, Yung Miami clapped back. The award-winning Caresha Please podcast host tweeted, “I was at my hosting collecting my coins [nail polish emojis] having a mf ball!!!!!!!!!!!”

Yung Miami recently released the “50/50 (Versions)” track. Her City Girls partner has also put out solo singles. JT dropped “Sideways” in February before she heads out on an unaccompanied tour.

The City Girls discography contains three studio albums. Girl Code came out in 2018. That debut LP was followed by 2020’s City on Lock and 2023’s RAW. They also presented a 2018 mixtape titled Period.

Additionally, Yung Miami recorded music as a featured act on songs by Diddy, King Combs, Lola Brooke and others. She moved into the broadcast space in 2022 by interviewing other celebrities on Caresha Please.

Shameik Moore Says “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” Got Robbed At Oscars

The 96th Academy Awards ceremony occurred on Sunday (March 10) in Los Angeles. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse losing in the Best Animated Feature category did not sit well with the movie’s lead star, Shameik Moore.

2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse starring Shameik Moore won numerous industry awards. The Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman-directed movie took home the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2019.

After Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy announced The Boy and the Heron as the 2024 Best Animated Feature winner, Shameik Moore shared his reaction on X.

The 28-year-old actor simply tweeted, “Robbed.” That post has collected over 4,000 likes and 340 replies on the social media platform. He originally misspelled “robed” before correcting himself.

Around 30 minutes later, Shameik Moore returned to X to add, “Respect to the winners. It’s true, I’m definitely a sore loser, but we didn’t lose, Spider-Verse has impacted A LOT of lives, we may not have been acknowledged tonight but life goes on, and BEYOND….. yea get ready.”

Another X user called out Moore for not being more congratulatory to legendary The Boy and the Heron filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki like Across the Spider-Verse writer/producer Christopher Miller.

“[You’re] right, honestly the whole Spider-Verse team are such good sports. Very professional and I’m excited to see what comes of this. I’m young, and a fighter, so forgive my nature. Congrats to the winners,” Moore wrote in response.

Quavo & British Rap Icon Giggs Tease New Transatlantic Banger

Quavo and Giggs are gearing up to release the transatlantic banger they teased earlier this year, and fans can’t wait.

After much speculation, the Migos rapper posted a teaser of the visuals, confirming his appearance on the track. “Gun gotta accent speakin U.K.,” Quavo captioned the joint post with Giggs and fashion designer KidSuper.

Giggs first previewed the track in January at Kidsuper’s “String Theory” show at Paris Fashion Week. However, while attendees only heard Giggs’ verse, Hollowman revealed the Quavo feature on TikTok last week.

Meanwhile, Giggs recently made headlines after social media users questioned his friendship with Diddy following the latest lawsuit. He seemingly responded to wild rumors that he was Diddy’s London fixer and procured men for the embattled Hip-Hop mogul during his visits to London.

“No one cant ever bring no funny s### around BADMAN,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) last month. “Lets not forget who we are dealing with here. Lets cut da crap!!!!”

Ashanti’s Mom Fuels Pregnancy Rumors: “It Hasn’t Been Officially Announced”

Ashanti’s mom tried to shut down the speculation that the singer is pregnant with Nelly’s baby, but she inadvertently had the opposite effect.

Rumors that the couple are expecting their first child began following a video of the rapper rubbing his girlfriend’s belly went viral last December. In addition, Ashanti has shunned any form-revealing outfits in recent performances. Despite donning a series of oversized fits, many fans insist they can see a growing baby bump

During a recent appearance, Ashanti’s mom and manager, Tina Douglas, was congratulated on the couple’s baby news.

“There’s been no announcement,” the momager replied without hesitation. “It hasn’t come out yet, but, you know, until I hear it from Ashanti and Nelly.”

When the host offered her apologies, stating she believed the news was public, Douglas replied, “No, it is public. Don’t get it twisted, but it hasn’t officially been announced.”

However, her words did little to dispel the rumors, with many taking it as confirmation Ashanti is pregnant but is keeping the news under wraps until the right time.

Many took her words as confirmation Nelly and Ashanti are expecting a baby but are keeping the news under wraps.

“That was the announcement. Thanks granny,” one Instagram user wrote alongside a crying with laughter emoji.

“Saying it’s public but hasn’t been announced is crazy, because you confirmed it,” another added.

“She low key officially announced it,” wrote a third person.

Monica Fires Back At Fan Questioning Her Sex Life After Posting New Man

Monica clapped back at a fan who was all up in her business after the R&B icon celebrated the new man in her life.

The singer, currently on the Pink Friday 2 tour with Nicki Minaj, gave Anthony Wilson his flowers on her Instagram Story.

“Number ONE television show and song at the same time! LET’S GO!,” Monica wrote, congratulating Wilson, who manages Chris Brown and serves as executive producer on 50 Cent’s BMF series.

However, when The Neighbourhood Talk shared the post, the comment section was littered with enquiries about her past relationship with C-Murder. Monica caught wind of the chatter and responded to one person who questioned her moving on wither her new man.

“Y’all don’t believe in staying single and cleansing the last man out your [cat,] the commenter wrote.

“My last one couldn’t ever get no damn & that was 2.5 yrs ago !!!” she replied. “this is why it’s better to speak what you know or just MYMFBB.”

This isn’t the first time Monica has faced questions about C-Murder after posting Wilson. Last December, she attempted to put an end to the confusion when fans asked about her ex on another Instagram post.

“Well , here it is in short !” she stated. “I got my heartbroken (again) and that’s ok! I learned yet another valuable lesson!”

Monica also said she’s since moved on and asked her fans to do the same. “I went through it , got over it, now I can laugh about it !,” she added. “Life continues ! I feel great that through it he has representation to one day be free ! Let’s move forward !”

C-Murder is currently serving a life sentence after he was found guilty of the 2002 killing of 16-year-old Steve Thomas in a New Orleans, Louisiana nightclub.

Jimmy Kimmel Roasts Trump Over Scathing Oscars Review: “Isn’t It Past Your Jail Time?”

Donald Trump shared a scathing review of the Oscars’ “worst host” ever, Jimmy Kimmel, promoting the comedian to clap back while live on air.

Presenting the final award on Sunday night (March 10), Kimmel said he had a minute to spare and decided to read a review of his performance as host of the ceremony.

“Has there EVER been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars. His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and never can be,” Kimmel began, reading from his phone.

“Get rid of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another washed up, but cheap, ABC ‘talent,’ George Slopanopoulos. He would make everybody on stage look bigger, stronger, and more glamorous… blah, blah, blah. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Truth Social/Donald Trump

Teasing the audience, Kimmel asked: “See if you can guess which former president just posted that on Truth Social.”

Kimmel thanked Trump for tuning in before clapping back with a jab of his own. “Isn’t it past your jail time?” he asked as the crowd erupted into laughter and applause.

The joke referenced the embattled politician facing charges in four criminal cases. Trump faces multiple felony counts for his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election, among other charges.

Donald Trump Claps Back At Robert De Niro

While Donald Trump has yet to respond to Jimmy Kimmel, he did return fire after 2024 Oscars nominee Robert de Niro recently shared his thoughts on the former president.

“He’s such a mean, nasty, hateful person,” De Niro remarked during a recent appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher. “I’d never play him as an actor, because I can’t see any good in him. Nothing. Nothing at all. Nothing redeemable in him.”

Trump responded on Truth Social. “Robert De Niro has a terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” he shared. “Such a stupid sounding guy, a low IQ individual!”

Offset On Relationship With Quavo: “Don’t Ever Try And Turn Us Against Each Other”

Offset says he and Quavo are on good terms and are still coming to terms with life after losing their third Migos member, Takeoff.

The pair were rumored to be feuding before Takeoff’s untimely death in November 2022 and were reportedly involved in an altercation at the 2023 Grammy Awards prior to a Takeoff tribute. However, they celebrated Takeoff’s birthday together later that year before joining forces to honor their late third member at the BET Awards.

Offset opened up about the state of their relationship during an appearance on Gillie and Wallo’s Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.

“I don’t feel like I owe it to people to show how much me and bro love each other,” he explained. “We went through something. We don’t have to show you smiles on faces … so stop doing that.”

Offset explained there’s no animosity between he and Quavo, and they celebrate each other’s successes.

“We aint on no sucker s### with each other. We both came in this s### together and we both knew that, we understood that, and we lost our brother,” he continued.

“I still go through s###; I know bro go through s###, “he added. “N##### love each other though at the end of the day. We men, we real brothers, and we cool with it, so be cool with it.

The “Jealousy” hitmaker concluded, “Don’t ever try and turn us against each other. I hate that s###. At the end of the day, it ain’t your business.”

The full interview with KOTA the Friend can be seen below and that gives more information on what fuels his musical journey.

KOTA credits his upbringing for his eclectic sound palette and authentic storytelling. His parents are a contrasting mix of personalities. His father is a serene entrepreneur, who cherished peace and quiet, and his mother is a dance teacher with a profound impact on her students. Both played pivotal roles in shaping KOTA’s artistic identity.

Kanye West’s Former Fans Lead Jewish-Based Theatrical Protest

Kanye West, who remains embroiled in controversy for his anti-Semitic remarks and apparent love for Adolf Hitler, continues to find his legacy under a microscope. Former fans, who once idolized West for his groundbreaking contributions to the rap genre, are now leading a musical protest in the form of a theatrical experience titled “Pain to Power: A Kanye West Musical Protest.”

According to CTV in Winnipeg, a pair of Jewish singer/songwriters who appeared on America’s Got Talent are presenting the event with the Winnipeg Jewish Theatre. The movement, spearheaded by Seth Zosky and CJ Capital, who both appeared on America’s Got Talent. They once had great respect for West’s artistic genius, but they fell out of love over the abhorrent views he publicized.

“That’s when he kind of broke my heart because he called for death against the Jewish people,” Zosky told CTV.

A post shared by CTV Winnipeg (@ctvwinnipeg)

Central to their protest is the use of music, the very medium through which Kanye West built his empire. The coalition of former fans is producing tracks and albums that seek to dismantle anti-Semitism and promote unity, tolerance and understanding. Their efforts come at a time when the hip-hop community, and the music industry at large, grapples with the complexities of separating art from the artist.

West’s journey from a celebrated musician to a controversial public figure highlights the struggle many face in reconciling their former idol’s hateful rhetoric with the beats and lyrics that once served as anthems to their lives.

Rappin’ 4-Tay has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare blood cancer that only strikes about 100,000 people per year. A GoFundMe campaign has been erected in his name to help pay for his medical expenses, something the Bay Area native clearly appreciates. Last week, he shared an Instagram post revealing a goal of $100,000.

“Grand rising Kings and Queens,” he wrote in the caption. “Wake up, everybody, as Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes would say. Thank you for all who wished me a happy birthday. Also, I would like to thank those of you who have donated. I’m humbled for real, I have a long way to go to reach my goal. Please continue to share and donate so I may continue with life-saving treatment. This isn’t easy for me, but I know together we can make a world of difference. Thank you!”

Just days later, Rappin 4-Tay’s family provided a lengthy update for his fans, writing, “Hey everyone, I wanted to provide an update on Anthony’s journey towards life-saving treatment and a cure for myeloma as of today, March 8th. Anthony is maintaining good spirits, staying positive, and remaining optimistic to the best of his abilities. He deeply appreciates all of the messages you have been sending; he reads them all, sometimes twice, and they give him the courage to keep fighting. Your words have even brought tears to his eyes at times. Anthony wants to express his gratitude to everyone who has contributed to this crucial cause, shared the GoFundMe page, and sent prayers his way.

“While we have received some support, encouraging feedback, and numerous prayers, we are still short on the much-needed funds and insurance coverage for Anthony’s life-saving treatment at this time. I am truly grateful for your efforts in spreading the word about the importance of early cancer screening and detection, which play a vital role in surviving any form of cancer.”

It continued, “Although we have made some progress, we have a long way to go to reach our goal and provide Anthony with the essential treatment that is currently uncovered. We have reached out to a few different state insurance companies, and his doctors are helping with the applications to sign him up for state insurance. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for this insurance coverage, which would alleviate the burden of mounting bills.
Your continued support and prayers mean the world to us during this challenging time. Thank you for standing by Anthony and believing in the power of community and compassion.”

Denzel Washington & Jake Gyllenhaal’s On-Stage Chemistry To Ignite Broadway’s “Othello”

Renowned actors Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal are set to take the Broadway stage in a 2025 revival of William Shakespeare’s tragic play “Othello.”

This production, led by the visionary and Tony Award-winning director Kenny Leon, aims to breathe new life into the centuries-old drama, exploring themes of jealousy, betrayal, and revenge within the complex relationships of its characters.

Scheduled to grace one of the prestigious Shubert Theatres in the spring of 2025, the anticipation for the opening night is very high among both Shakespeare aficionados and fans of Washington and Gyllenhaal.

The casting choices have sparked considerable interest, with Washington taking on the titular role of Othello, the noble Moor who falls prey to deceit, and Gyllenhaal as Iago, the master manipulator driving the play’s tragic events.

This production marks a significant return for Washington to the Broadway stage, demonstrating his enduring versatility and commitment to theatrical arts in plays like “Julius Caesar,” Checkmates, and “Iceman Cometh.”

Gyllenhaal, too, brings a strong Broadway repertoire, having received accolades for his performances in productions like “Sunday in the Park with George” and “Gutenberg! The Musical” that span dramatic and musical genres.

The collaboration between Washington and Leon is not new; their successful partnerships in the past delivered a run of the critically acclaimed play “A Raisin in the Sun.”

“Othello” presents an opportunity for them to delve into Shakespearean territory, presenting challenging roles that demand a profound understanding of the text and characters.

It has been decades since “Othello” last captivated Broadway audiences, making this revival a landmark event.

The play has a storied history on the stage, with legendary actors bringing their unique interpretations to these iconic roles.

Leon’s direction, combined with the lead actors’ prowess, sets the stage for a potentially unforgettable rendition of one of Shakespeare’s most intense dramas.

This revival not only offers a chance to experience Shakespeare’s work through the lens of today’s societal contexts but also highlights the timelessness of its themes.

As preparations for the production continue, the theatre community and beyond await what promises to be a compelling addition to Broadway’s rich history of Shakespearean adaptations.

While in Japan, she became acquainted with Habushu, a notorious Okinawan spirit known for its striking ingredient—a preserved habu snake believed to imbibe the drink with vitality-enhancing properties. Habushu is celebrated and feared in equal measure, thanks to the habu snake’s venom purportedly fermenting within the bottle, lending the liquor its legendary potency.

After a courageous taste of the liquor, the “Cobra” rapper expressed her less-than-favorable opinion on its strength and flavor. Yet, it appears her appreciation for serpents doesn’t extend to her palate.
