Bobby Shmurda Talks Exorcising an Overactive Sex Addiction!

Apparently, the ladies love Bobby Shmurda. Likewise, the Brooklyn native has been showing them an insatiable amount of attention. Recently, he speaks with Hot 97, pertaining to the steamy details surrounding his indulgent sex life. Then, he goes on to address his overactive sex addiction. Finally, he shares what actions he uses to correct the issue.

Upon, his inception to fame, the passionate rapper had to sit down and serve a prison sentence. So, following his release the trendsetter became very friendly. The established entertainer broaches his overindulgent actions. “I was wildin’!” he declares.

Before that, he admits to the problem’s origin. The motivational MC shares, “When I came home — I ain’t gonna lie — I just stopped like a month ago. I was having like real sex addict problems.” The confession comes to highlight how the hip-thrusting lyricist liberally loved upon the ladies.

It is not the ending it is the experience. Meagan Good and husband, DeVon Franklin, are filing for divorce, this according to People. Mr. Franklin claims “irreconcilable differences” is responsible for the split, as reported by The Blast.

Of course, the highly lauded, Hollywood couple have demanding schedules. They have been married for nearly ten years. In addition, to their secular activities, their Christian foundation is what serves to strengthen the couple’s bond. In fact, the Good Girl and her partner penned The New York Times‘ best-selling book. The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love details their patient courtship.

Indeed, the faith of the Harlem starlet seems to provide an immense level of comfort. Thus, this transition compels the Left Coast thespian to address the proceedings. Via, her official Instagram account, she along with her hubby, share their thoughts.

Above all, their undulating love is still apparent. “After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected,” it reads. Next, the focus shines on what’s important. Meagan then mentions, “We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal.”

Then, clarification comes to the forefront. The Christian heart-throb offers, “There’s no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love. We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife.”

In conclusion, the statement shares, “We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other.” Overall, the social activist appears to appreciate the time she’s invested into her marriage.

NLE Choppa Talks Being Compared To Michael Jackson & Tupac Shakur

NLE Choppa was not even alive during the height of Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur’s respective careers. However, the 19-year-old rapper claims his fans often compare him to those two legendary musicians.

Power 106 caught up with NLE Choppa during the Rolling Loud California festival earlier this month. The Memphis-raised rhymer answered a question about resembling other artists.

“I get a lot of Michael Jackson [comparisons], because of the type of energy I bring. Somebody even said I look like him. I don’t know where that comes from,” stated NLE Choppa.

The “Shotta Flow” performer added, “And I get 2Pac too, because what I stand for, what type of principles I stand on outside of music. See with me, it’s not about the music all the time. It’s about who I can impact, whose life I can change.”

NLE Choppa also took to Twitter last night to further clarify his comments about MJ and Pac. The creator of the forthcoming Me vs. Me album posted, “These comparisons got nothing to do with me MUSICALLY, everything to do with what I stand for outside of it. I’m prolific. I stand for some that can change the world.”

FX Announces Premiere Date For ‘Snowfall’ Season 5

Snowfall‘s fifth season will air on FX. The cable network revealed the popular 1980s-era crime drama’s return date for 2022.

According to TVLine, Snowfall will be back on television beginning Wednesday, February 23. Viewers will get to watch two new episodes on that date. A new teaser trailer will reportedly air on Christmas Day during NBA games on ESPN and ABC.

“Snowfall is enjoying a justly deserved burst of success with Season 4, and we’re excited to follow it up with another explosive season early next year,” said Eric Schrier, President of FX Entertainment.

Season 4 of Snowfall ended on April 21 with the “Fight or Flight” episode. That S4 finale brought in over 881,000 total viewers which placed the program at #3 on the Top 50 Original Cable Telecast rankings for the night.

Snowfall mostly centers around Los Angeles-based crack dealer Franklin Saint, played by British actor Damson Idris. The 30-year-old London native also confirmed the season five premiere date news on his Instagram page.

Damson Idris’s profile rose even higher during Snowfall‘s current hiatus. He had to shoot down dating rumors involving “Ah Ah Ah” rapper DreamDoll back in April. Plus, Idris recently went viral for his reaction to Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington admitting he was unfamiliar with the Brunel University London graduate.

Eric Amadio, Dave Andron, and the late John Singleton co-created Snowfall. The series is executive produced by Andron, Amadio, Thomas Schlamme, Michael London, Trevor Engelson, Leonard Chang, Walter Mosley, and Julie DeJoie.

Will another Hip Hop artist join Eminem, Juicy J, DJ Paul, and Common as Oscar winners? Will pop culture icon Beyoncé finally add an Academy Award to her long list of industry accolades?

This week, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced its shortlists for several 2022 honors. Fifteen songs will advance in the Best Original Song category for the 94th Academy Awards. Eighty-four songs were eligible.

Superstar couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z may have to go head-to-head for the Oscar on March 27, 2022. Beyoncé’s “Be Alive” single from the Will Smith-led King Richard movie made the shortlist.

Jay-Z and Kid Cudi’s “Guns Go Bang” from Netflix’s The Harder They Fall is also in consideration. Kid Cudi has the chance to be a two-time nominee if “Guns Go Bang” and his “Just Look Up” collaboration with Ariana Grande both score nods.

H.E.R. won the Academy Award for Best Original Song earlier this year for “Fight for You” from Judas and the Black Messiah. The R&B singer/songwriter could win back-to-back years. “Automatic Woman” from the Cardi B-curated Bruised soundtrack is on the latest Oscar shortlist as well.

Tunes by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Diane Warren, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Hudson, U2, and other acts are also in the running for Best Original Song. Members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Music Branch vote to determine the shortlist and the nominees.

Eleven Songs From Juice WRLD’s ‘Fighting Demons’ Album Debut On The Hot 100

Jarad “Juice WRLD” Higgins passed away two years ago, but his music is still impacting the world. The posthumous Fighting Demons album arrived on December 10.

Fighting Demons debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 119,000 first-week units. Tracks off Juice WRLD’s fourth studio LP also invaded Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart.

Eleven Fighting Demons songs premiered on the Hot 100 this week. “Girl of My Dreams” with Suga of BTS became the project’s highest-peaking new record on the latest chart by landing at #29.

In addition, “Already Dead” re-entered the Hot 100 rankings. The song currently sits at #54 in its fourth charting week after rising all the way to #20 in November.

Juice WRLD now has 69 career entries on the Hot 100. Nine of his songs reached the Top 10 region. 2018’s “Lucid Dreams” is the Chicago native’s highest-charting song. It peaked at #2.

Prior to Fighting Demons hitting DSPs, Juice WRLD released the 3x-Platinum Goodbye & Good Riddance in 2018 and the 2x-Platinum Death Race for Love in 2019. His first posthumous album, 2020’s Death Race for Love, is certified 2x-Platinum.

The Fighting Demons album arrived alongside an HBO documentary titled Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss. Juice WRLD’s musical protégé The Kid Laroi appeared in the film to talk about his mentor’s final moments. The doc also features Lil Bibby, Polo G, G Herbo, Cole Bennett, and Juice’s loved ones.

Westside Gunn Says “Some Rest & I’ll Be Back” After Being Hospitalized

Westside Gunn released a statement in the early hours of this morning (Dec. 22), updating fans on his health. He previously revealed being admitted to the hospital for the second time in a month after failing to catch his breath. 

“Some rest & I’ll be back. Thank y’all so much for the love, u know I love u all even the haters!!!” he shared via Instagram Stories. “Happy Holidays…I didn’t realize I had 60 points in the 3rd quarter I should’ve been benched myself, some should be thankful I’m giving y’all a head starts.” It appears Westside Gunn is taking the rest of the year off as he added, “See y’all next year.” 

Just a few hours before, on Tuesday evening, the Griselda rapper took to his Instagram stories to inform his fans of his health crisis. Gunn posted an image that showed him lying down surrounded by several EMTs. 

Westside Gunn Called For Prayers  

“Pray for me they had to call for emergency,” he wrote. “I couldn’t breath, it’s under control now but otw to hospital. 2x this month.” 

Back in April last year, Westside Gunn contracted COVID-19 and checked himself into hospital after suffering breathing complications that left him feeling like he was dying.  

“I have a confession to Make I’m a Corona Survivor,” he wrote on Instagram. “I didn’t want anybody feeling sorry for me I had to thug it out for weeks I didn’t get to see my kids I went to the hospital feeling like I was breathing my last breath the fans and the love I was getting kept me strong I knew I had to drop this Pray for Paris bc GOD have bigger plans for me.”  

He continued, “I’m about to go harder than I ever have that s### tore me up inside I literally thought I was dead designing these clothes and @virgilabloh having my back and @djpremier sending me a beat kept me motivated.”

Over the last few weeks, California-bred rapper Saweetie’s name has been romantically attached to Atlanta’s Lil Baby. Prior to that, people on the internet thought she was dating fellow Californian Roddy Ricch.

Basketball fans spotted Saweetie and Roddy Ricch sitting next to each other at a Los Angeles Lakers game in October. That on-screen interaction was enough for blogs and social media users to question if they were a couple.

“So avoid sitting next to men in public places otherwise the world assumes y’all are dating… got it,” tweeted Saweetie at the time. Now, Roddy Ricch has addressed the speculation as well.

Roddy Ricch recently appeared on the Big Boy’s Neighborhood radio show to promote his new album Live Life Fast. The hosts used that interview to ask Ricch about his alleged courtside connection with Saweetie.

“For all the females out there, stop sitting by me [at] the game… I was sitting down first,” responded Roddy Ricch. He added, “I’m at the game. That’s my birthday. I’m faded out of my mind. I ain’t thinking about nobody sitting next to me.”

Jay-Z and Beyoncé are one step closer to making history after they were both named on the shortlist for the best original song category at the Oscars! 

The super-couple are among the 15 contenders potentially vying for the win at the upcoming 94th Academy Awards. Jay-Z is being recognized alongside Kid Cudi for their collaboration, “Guns Go Bang,” from “The Harder They Fall.” Hov also co-produced the Black western, based on real characters from American history.

Beyoncé receives the nod for her song “Be Alive” from “King Richard.” The movie tells the story of Venus and Serena Williams and features Will Smith in the role of their father, Richard.

If they make the cut, the couple’s first-ever nominations would also make Oscars history. According to Billboard. Jay-Z and Beyoncé would be the first married couple to compete against each other in the same category.  

Meanwhile, Kid Cudi is also shortlisted for his collaboration with Ariana Grande, “Just Look Up” from “Don’t Look Up.” Notably, if nominated, Cudi would be the first songwriter in over three decades to receive multiple Oscar nominations with songs from two different films. 

Last year’s winner, H.E.R also made the shortlist for “Automatic Woman” from “Bruised” the Netflix sports drama produced and directed by Halle Berry.  

Jay-Z and Beyoncé have some stiff competition. Also included on the list is Jennifer Hudson who could receive a double Oscar nomination in the actress and original song categories with “Respect.” Additionally, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas made the list. The siblings have already won a Grammy for their track from “No Time to Die.” 

Meanwhile, Jay-Z began trending on Twitter yesterday (Dec. 21) after claiming nobody could compete against him in a “Verzuz.”

Wendy Williams & Nick Cannon Shows Delayed Amid COVID-19 Concerns

“The Wendy Williams Show” and Nick Cannon’s talk show have announced delays to their scheduled programming due to COVID-19 spikes.

Both platforms revealed the news simultaneously via social media yesterday (Dec. 21). 

Nick Cannon released a statement informing viewers of the hiatus and said they were delaying the show’s return for the wellbeing of everyone on set.  

“Due to the growing number of new COVID-19 cases and to ensure a safe return for our crew members and staff, “Nick Cannon” will now return with new episodes on Monday, January 10, instead of Monday, January 3, as previously scheduled. We continue to observe all relevant New York City health and safety protocols, and wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season.”

“The Wendy Williams Show” Will Return on Jan. 10

“The Wendy Williams Show” made a similar announcement advising of a return on Monday, January 10, a week later than scheduled.  

Wendy Williams is on a leave of absence from the show while she recovers following several health scares. The show confirmed production would continue in the New Year with various guests hosts filling in for the media maven.

However, some fans were concerned that pushing back the return of Wendy Williams yet again is only delaying the inevitable.

Ray J Makes Accusations Of Corporate Racism

Ray J is speaking out against racism in the corporate world alluding to being on the receiving end of it within his own company.  

The R&B singer turned tech entrepreneur posted a video on Monday (Dec. 20) where he was very vocal about not tolerating racism. However, it was unclear exactly who or what company Ray J was referring to, and he did not make any specific allegations.  

Ray J began the video by declaring, “It’s time. When there’s $300-$400 million on the table, and you’re on the side of a company that you founded and that you put your soul behind. Listen, man…racism…racism?” 

Ray J Says Racism Is Not Allowed Here

He then continued saying racism is “not allowed here. It’s not allowed anywhere.” Ray J kept the target of his message anonymous saying, “You can’t tell me that you’re a dictator, and that we gotta do what you say do, asking me, ‘do I know what dictatorship means.’ I think that’s extremely racist. There’s a lot of other things that’s going on that I think can be worked out. But certain people gotta go. Certain people can’t feel like they’re allowed to be racist and it’s okay.” 

The “Love and Hip Hop” star said he will be using his voice to combat racism and intends to remove the negativity he claims is “infecting us in this company.” Once again, he did not name the company he accused.  

Finally, he concluded the video by saying, “All y’all racist MF’s, I’m coming for you right now. Don’t think you can play with me, don’t think you can talk to me any old kind of way.”

Despite the lengthy rant, Ray J doubled down in the caption and said he would not be silenced.

“RACISM IS NOT TOLERATED,” he added. “IF YOU THOUGHT I WAS GONNA BE QUIET BC OF MONEY AND GREED YOU THOUGHT WRONG! IF YOU DONT STAND UP FOR WHATS RIGHT YOU WILL FALL FOR ANYTHING! YOUVE UNDERESTIMATED ME! I WILL GET THIS HANDLED CORRECTLY THIS IS WRONG,” he wrote. 

While Ray J refrained from mentioning the company he directed his rant towards, he is the founder of two tech brands, Raytroniks and Raycon Inc.  

Cardi B Defends Lil Kim Against “Cyber Bullying”

Cardi B has spoken out in defense of Lil Kim after she was mocked online following the release of her new video for “Big Santa Papi.” 

The song, taken from the soundtrack to “Miracles Across 125th Street” received a mixed response on social media with some openly clowning Lil Kim. Cardi B responded with a Twitter rant, siding with the iconic New Yorker. 

The “Money” hitmaker initially retweeted a post calling out the “disrespect” aimed at Lil Kim. 

“This younger generation is to comfortable disrespecting Lil Kim’s impact…just because you act like you didn’t grow up listening to her your parents did.” 

Cardi B Claps Back

Shortly after that, Cardi responded to a user who wrote: 

“get bullied, mocked, and disrespected by thousands of people online is really upsetting. The other day it was because of her halftime performance and now it’s because of a role she played in a movie. At what point will this weird hate bandwagon for Lil’ Kim end?” 

The New York native tweeted in response, “I’m tired of it and it’s heartbreaking…She’s is so sweet ,supportive and a REAL F##### LEGEND.” 

This led Cardi to recall her younger days when she used a Lil Kim song in her social media spats. “I remember when I used to beef wit b###### and I used to put on my MySpace her song F### YOU!” she wrote. “I think it gotta be these 2000’s born kids on this app that don’t know about s###!” 

However, some were quick to accuse Cardi B of clout chasing Kim in the hopes of working with her. 

“What do a collab go to do with someone constantly getting CYBER BULLY?” came Cardi’s response. “before a artist I am a woman wit feelings and I know how much it hurts to constantly get picked on…When I collab wit her is going to be at the right time & the right song.I don’t rush BIG MOMENTS!” 

This is not the first time Cardi has spoken about working with the “Crush On You” rapper, and she has the receipts. 

“BEEN SAYING THIS .THANK YOU,” she said. “I don’t rush things and I say this in all my interviews.Until I don’t have the right song for a artist I’m not going to rush it cause if the song don’t make sense and it don’t do good then I will feel terrible..It don’t take away from her greatest.”

Regardless, Snoop Dogg is not happy with this “Snoop on the Stoop” doll. The doll, which sits down with a blunt in its mouth, is meant to be funny and hilarious for the Christmas season. However Snoop did not find it funny!

In a tweet, the Dogg made it clear that he is going to sue those that created this action figure. He is not playing with them!

This year a Snoop Dogg elf doll “Snoop on the stoop” is causing a frenzy among festive-time shoppers. Inspired by the elf on the shelf, Chris Milnes from Muckychris.com, created a collectable elf doll of Snoop Dogg. The company specializes in making 3D projects and pop culture merchandise.

I wish somebody would make me into a doll. But that time has passed! Maybe next lifetime.

Saweetie, Jack Harlow & More To Perform On NBC’s New Year’s Eve Special

Saweetie and Jack Harlow will help bring in the new year on NBC.

The two rappers have been announced for NBC’s upcoming special Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party. Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels is executive producing the event, which will be hosted by Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson.

“In what is sure to be an exciting and fun evening, we are looking forward to partnering with Lorne Michaels and ringing in 2022 with a night of incredible entertainment, led by Miley and Pete,” Jen Neal, NBCUniversal’s Executive Vice President of Live Events, Specials and E! News, said in a press release.

Saweetie and Jack Harlow have been booked to perform at the event, which will air live from Miami on December 31.

The special will also feature performances by Brandi Carlile, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, 24kGoldn, Anitta and Kitty Ca$h. NBC is promising surprise guests as well.

Saweetie and Jack Harlow aren’t the only notable rappers performing on a New Year’s Eve special though. Hip Hop fans can also catch Big Boi, Polo G, French Montana and Macklemore on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest over on ABC.

Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party is scheduled to begin at 10:30 p.m. Eastern on December 31 and run until 12:30 a.m. Viewers can watch it on NBC or livestream the event on Peacock.

W. Kamau Bell Says “Cliff Huxtable” Would Approve Upcoming Docu-Series On Bill Cosby

W. Kamau Bell has made a docu-series about troubled comedian Bill Cosby.

“We Need to Talk About Cosby” will premiere on the network Showtime eight days after its first showing at the Sundance Film Festival in January, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“I was a huge fan of all his shows and wanted to be a comedian because of him,” the United Shades of America host explained. “I never thought I’d ever wrestle with who we all thought Cosby was and who we now understand him to be. I’m not sure he would want me to do this work, but Cliff Huxtable (Cosby’s character on The Cosby Show) definitely would.”

Throughout the four-part series, Bell explores the comedian’s “desire for power”, his public persona, and the multiple accusations of sexual assault made against him.

“Kamau has bravely ventured into a very complicated and nuanced area of the Bill Cosby story, which has yet to be explored in this depth,” Showtime executive Vinnie Malhotra said of the series. “It’s an important and under-reported perspective on the legacy of one of history’s most iconic African American entertainers.”

In June, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned Cosby’s 2018 sexual assault conviction and he was released from prison after serving almost three years of the potential 10-year sentence.

Jay-Z Shoots Down Verzuz Comp: “Can’t Nobody Stand On That Stage With Me”

Jay-Z has finally made a definitive statement on the prospects of him jumping on the Verzuz stage, the wildly popular platform that has captivated live and virtual audiences.

“Can’t nobody stand on that stage with me. I’m just telling y’all the real,” Jay verbally said for thousands of listeners to hear. “You gotta stand in front of the “Grammy Family” verse performed live? I never even performed that live. Let’s move on from Verzuz.”

The mogul said that there is nobody on the planet that he can stand in front of and it be competitive.

The statement was made in a Twitter Spaces talkback with singer Alicia Keys in promotion of her new album Keys.

Conducted by Genius’s Rob Markman, the conversation was in promotion of the album, but eventually trailed off into various directions. And since Alicia is married to Swizz Beatz, one of the founders of Verzuz, it was a natural progression in the chat.

Jay-Z did not name names of anybody in particular, but simply stated that there would be no competition for him.

In recent months, people have speculated that maybe there could be a Nas Verzuz with Jay-Z. Rick Ross made an appearance on “The Real,” the daytime talk show, and suggested that he might be willing to do something with Hov.

This is the first time the Jay has shot down the possibility of doing it, as well as the very notion that there was competition for him.

The Roc Nation general would later comment that he loved Verzuz as a platform to recognize and “give people their flowers.“

“It truly is a beautiful thing—shout out to both Swizz and Tim,” Jay-Z said.

Alicia Keys would go on to give her husband his respect and Timbaland for founding the incredibly disruptive and revolutionary platform.

Sir Will’s passion and drive stems from his childhood in Compton, Ca. Growing up he was exposed to a lot of hard times with his parents that in the end demonstrated hard work and persistence to reach a goal. Sir Will has carried the mentality of his father’s dedication to get and stay sober. A mentality that has helped grow his creative passion and talents to new heights.  The direction towards music started at a block party where DJ Quik performed.  After this moment, he was inspired to control a crowd like he had witnessed DJ Quik do at the block party.  His drive to create and perform music was untested.  He started creating music in talent shows in 6th grade where he performed his own songs. 

Sir Will is currently an independent artist, he finds his best work is done with the freedom that comes with being an independent singer.  Sir Will talks about the importance and value of controlling his own destiny because it pushes him to learn the game of writing, producing, and singing.  His success is created through that persistently hard-working mentality where he finds the importance in education and working that “9 to 5” job, unlike other artists. His own messages and metaphorical lyrics express the real world and how to reach dreams to his younger fan base. He’s not an overnight success, he’s successful through his ever-persistent pursuit to improve his sound and learn modern and historical music.  

Currently, he has a single out called “F***k Yaw” that sets the scene of the products of his hard work and never-ending pursuit to be the best version of himself. He plans to release a new single called “Sleeping Giant” where he describes the vibes and grind in Arizona.  Sir Will be an artist to watch for 2022 with the singles and music videos he has lined up for his ever-increasing fan base.
