Post Malone says he’s not taking drugs and is in the shape of his life after fans expressed concern for the musician’s health over his recent dramatic weight loss.
The “Circles” hitmaker has been spotted sporting a noticeably slimmer figure in recent months, leading to comments from fans worried about his health. Some shared footage of his recent performances suggesting the rapid weight loss could be due to a sudden illness or even drug addiction.
However, according to Post Malone, fatherhood has given him a new lease on life, and he’s making some big changes for the sake of his baby daughter. He took to Instagram on Thursday evening to share an update with his fans, assuring them he’s doing just fine.
“i wanted to say that i’m not doing drugs, i’ve had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and i’d suppose, performance on stage,” Post Malone began. “i’m having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier. i guess dad life kicked in and i decided to kick soda, and start eating better so i can be around for a long time for this little angel. next up is smokes and brews, but i like to consider myself a patient man… lol!”
After the health update, Post Malone also teased that he’s been working on new music before promising to post more often.
“my brain is in a super dope place, and i’m the happiest i’ve been in a long time,” he added. “if you’re having a hard time or need some love, i can say that you’re loved more than you know, and keep f###### crushing it. goodnight nerds😤spread love and rock on🥾🥾🥾.” Read his update in full below.
Post Malone welcomed his first child, a daughter, with his fiancée in May 2022. The 27-year-old rapper has kept the details surrounding his daughter and her mother extremely private. He broke the news of her arrival in the most nonchalant way possible, just weeks after announcing he was expecting a child.
“I woke up at 2:30 in the afternoon, I went and I kissed my baby girl and then I went to play some video games,” Post Malone said during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, last June.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Post Malone became the only act in history to collect over six Diamond Single Awards, eight in total. Read about the monumental achievement at AllHipHop.com.
Chance the Rapper’s wife Kirsten Corley-Bennett spoke out for the first time since her husband went viral for his racy dancing at Carnival.
Corley-Bennett shared a quote from the late Maya Angelou via Instagram on Wednesday (April 26). Chance the Rapper’s wife said she hoped “we all choose to grow up” one day in the post’s caption.
“Most people don’t grow up,” Angelou said. “It’s too damn difficult. What happens is most people get older. That’s the truth of it. They honor their credit cards, they find parking spaces, they marry, they have the nerve to have children, but they don’t grow up. Not really. They get older. But to grow up costs the earth, the earth. It means you take responsibility for the time you take up, for the space you occupy. It’s serious business. And you find out what it costs us to love and to lose, to dare and to fail. And maybe more, to succeed.”
Angelou’s quote comes from an interview in the Paris Review. Corley-Bennett’s cryptic post can be seen as a jab at her husband or the online reaction to Chance the Rapper’s antics.
Earlier this month, Chance the Rapper was accused of cheating on his wife after fans saw his risqué dance with another woman. His defenders called it part of Carnival culture.

Meek Mill’s interest in The Bahamas gained the attention of the country’s prime minister.
The Philadelphia native revealed his desire to build a music school in The Bahamas on Wednesday (April 26). Meek Mill asked his Twitter followers to help him link up with the country’s leader.
“I want to build a music school in Bahamas and teach them how to record and setup small studios the way we do in America!” he wrote. “Who can connect me with the prime minister?”
Minutes later, Bahamas Prime Minister Philip Davis responded to Meek Mill on social media. Davis welcomed the idea of opening a new school in his country.
“Our administration is always open to discussing ways to advance our orange economy, invest in Bahamians, and empower our young people,” Davis wrote.

Earlier this year, Meek Mill provided support to students in his hometown of Philadelphia. The rapper joined forces with Kevin Hart and Michael Rubin to donate $7 million to educational causes in Philly.
“Gotta get the whole trap booming too,” Meek Mill wrote in January. “We come from public schools side!!!!!”
Most of the money went to scholarships for low-income students to help them attend private schools. The funds also covered the costs of laptops, tablets and WiFi access.
A Houston-based music producer is accusing prominent entertainment company Roc Nation of using copyrighted beats without authorization in creating hit songs for artists A$AP Ferg and GloRilla.
The allegations revolve around two specific tracks, A$AP Ferg’s “Plain Jane” and GloRilla’s “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).”
In 2015, Kerry D. Brown, the managing member of Krushial K. Productions, met Lenny Santiago, a Vice-President of Roc Nation, at The Dealmakers Conference held at The Hotel Derek in Houston, Texas.
Brown provided Santiago with samples of his instrumentals, hoping to forge a collaboration for future projects.
Brown maintains that he never relinquished or transferred the rights to his copyrighted instrumentals.
However, he was shocked to discover that two of his registered works, “You Don’t Know Nothing About Me” and “AUDIOBOX Instrumentals,” were allegedly used in A$AP Ferg’s “Plain Jane” and GloRilla’s “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” without his permission.
“Plain Jane” by A$AP Ferg, released in 2017, became a massive hit, peaking at number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and eventually achieving multi-platinum certification.
On the other hand, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” by Hitkidd & GloRilla, released in 2022, garnered significant attention, achieving gold certification status.
According to Brown, neither Roc Nation nor any other involved parties obtained a Notice of Intent to Use or paid royalties to Krushial K. Productions for using the copyrighted material in either song.
The only Notice of Intent to Use received by Brown came from Spotify, a popular music streaming platform.
Both “Plain Jane” and “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” have gained widespread recognition and have even gone viral on social media platforms like TikTok.
Despite the commercial success of these tracks, Brown and Krushial K. Productions claim they have not received any royalties for the unauthorized use of their beats in “Plain Jane” and “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).”
Brown and Krushial K. would not be the only ones making nothing from “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).”
Last year, HitKidd publicly confronted GloRilla on Twitter, accusing the Memphis rapper and her team of attempting to unjustly claim ownership of their viral sensation following her signing with Yo Gotti’s CMG Records in July 2022.
Jada Pinkett Smith started exploring options to continue her Red Table Talk series.
The actress reacted to Meta cancelingRed Table Talk and other Facebook Watch originals on Thursday (April 27). Jada Pinkett Smith confirmed she’s looking for a new home for her show in posts on Instagram and Twitter.
“We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch and we are sorry to see the entire team disband,” she wrote. “We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come.”
She added, “We at Red Table are in talks of finding a new home and we’ll see you soon.”
Red Table Talk debuted on Facebook Watch in 2018. Jada Pinkett Smith hosted the show with her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris and daughter Willow Smith.
The web series notably featured Jada Pinkett Smith discussing her personal life with her husband Will Smith. She talked about her infamous “entanglement” with August Alsina on Red Table Talk, which led to the spread of the “Sad Will Smith” meme on social media.
Red Table Talk ran for five seasons on Facebook Watch. The show’s last episode, a reunion special for the sitcom A Different World, premiered in December 2022.
With both Joe Biden and Donald Trump announcing their plans to run for the president of the United States in 2024, and spoiler Sen. Bernie Sanders saying he will not enter the race, many are wondering about Kanye and the “Kanye Factor.”
Well, according to sources, the multi-hyphenate who ran for president in the last election cycle, is gearing up to toss his hat into the ring also.
According to K2 Radio, one clear sign is that he has established an official campaign headquarters.
On March 3, he changed his headquarters from his Cody, WY address to 312 West 2nd Street, Unit A1185 in Casper, Wyoming, his new campaign central on a new filing.
The application shows he is still a member of the Birthday Party and that Patrick Krason is his treasurer.
The campaign’s bank is also listed on the form. It will remain the First Bank of Wyoming in Cody, the one he used in 2020.
While a lot of fans are excited about his candidacy— for a lot of reasons other than his qualifications— many are worried about him splitting the Democratic vote as a plant.
The internet, especially social media, has gotten it all wrong with Pras, and his team is working steadfastly to counter the assertion that the former Fugee acted as an informant for the federal government.
“Pras was never an FBI informant. It’s not accurate and, quite frankly, it’s dangerous,” his publicist Erica Dumas told AllHipHop exclusively. “If he was an informant, he would not be on trial. The government does not prosecute and threaten its informants with more than two decades of jail time.”
The multi-platinum-selling artist became an unlikely source of scorn when his in-court testimony mischaracterized his relationship with the Feds. High-profile celebrities like 50 Cent and Kyrie Irving erroneously characterized Pras as a “snitch” or a “rat.”

The 50-year-old entertainer was found guilty on 10 criminal counts in a Washington D.C. courtroom on Wednesday (April 26). Pras was accused of helping Malaysian businessman Jho Low gain political influence in the U.S. in exchange for $100 million. Moreover, a court document explained what Pras allegedly and actually did in an effort to help the US to extradite Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui.
He maintained his innocence tenaciously and even took the stand in his own defense, an unusual legal maneuver.
In-court testimony, during his defense, Pras said the following: “I took it upon myself to report because I thought the FBI should know.” This statement was maligned through social media and other forms of media, but he volunteered information to the Feds.
Media outlets such as Rolling Stone, CNN, Bloomberg, and Vibe have adjusted headlines and stories to reflect that Pras was not an informant for the FBI. In a written follow-up statement, Dumas said, “Michel also told the jury he was simply a connector, helping Low find counsel for civil charges brought by the US government and letting government officials, including FBI agents, know that China wanted Guo extradited.”
Pras’s lawyer David Kenner, of the Kenner Law Firm, Encino, expressed how disenchanted he was with the guilty verdict. He also conveyed some optimism as the case moves into the potential appeal and sentencing phase.
“We are, of course, very disappointed, but I am very confident in the ultimate outcome of this case. Her honor gave us a briefing schedule that will allow us to brief a number of motions that I made during the course of this trial,” Kenner said in a statement. “That briefing schedule extends out into July. Her honor pointed out today that after those decisions are made, based on the briefs, she will determine whether it is still necessary to move to a sentencing hearing. If we do move to a sentencing hearing, I remain very confident that we will, with certainty, appeal this case. This is not over. I remain very, very confident that we will ultimately prevail in this matter.”
Kenner said also stated that he filed for a mistrial and that evidence is still being considered.
Below is the complete statement from his team submitted to AllHipHop that outlines and details why Pras Michel is not an informant.
To be clear, an informant cuts a deal with the government, so why would he be on trial if he were an informant.
Nothing could be further from the truth, and the reckless suggestion that he was an informant carries life-threatening implications in Hip-Hop circles.
During a portion of Pras’ nearly two days of testimony last week, Pras described from the stand a decision he made a handful of years ago to approach the FBI in regard to a narrow issue related to his wider case.
In law enforcement parlance, an “informant” is someone who works directly with an investigating law enforcement agency either to cut a deal for him or herself, or with the direct interests of that law enforcement agency as part of their own agenda.
This was not the case with Pras, as the entirety of the court transcripts of his testimony clearly indicate.
Many media outlets that covered the testimony correctly reported that his approach to the FBI, to discuss Guo Wengui and three Americans held in China, was completely voluntary, and his posture was not that of an informant.
Rihanna landed a starring role in Paramount Animation’s new Smurfs film.
According to multiple reports, Rihanna announced she’s voicing Smurfette in The Smurfs Movie at CinemaCon 2023 in Las Vegas on Thursday (April 27). The animated film is scheduled to be released in 2025.
“I’ll be playing Smurfette,” she said. “I tried to get the Papa Smurf role, but it didn’t work out.”
Rihanna also revealed she’s recording original music for the movie. The singer hoped her work on The Smurfs would earn her “cool points” with her kids.
“Getting to do animation is a fun journey for me,” Rihanna said, per Indiewire. “I’m usually front and center with everything with my likeness … I got to show up in my pajamas in my third trimester and be a blue badass.”
The Smurfs Movie will be Rihanna’s second time working as a voice actor in an animated film. She previously voiced Gratuity “Tip” Tucci in the 2015 movie Home.
Rihanna starred in several live-action films during her career. Her acting credits include Battleship, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Ocean’s 8 and Guava Island.
The Smurfs Movie will be directed by Chris Miller. He previously directed Shrek the Third and P### in Boots.
Xzibit’s divorce proceedings are getting ugly as his wife is running out of money to keep up with the famous and rich West Coast rapper.
According to Radar Online, Krista Joiner, his wife for 7 years and mother of his two children (one died as a baby), is demanding that the artist helps her with some of her bills, including her lawyer fees, during the couple’s ugly split.
She believes some of that money could go to her for her legal debt. She also spoke about all the money he is making as a cannabis company owner, believing he could pull money from there.
If that doesn’t work, the soon-to-be ex-wife says he could just sell some of his jewelry collection valued at $845k or a 2018 Rezvani Jeep worth $350k.
Joiner is already receiving $6,000 a month in a combined support agreement, mandated by a judge.
Of that pot, $2,239 is to go to child support for their 10-year-old son, and the remaining $3,702 to her in spousal support.
She has asked a judge to more than double it because she says he can afford it.
More than anything, Joiner admits struggling to readjust to her life.
She says she has no job because she had “to devote much of her time to these divorce proceedings and taking care of their son.”
He believes she needs to figure it out and not count his ducks. No word on if his support will be raised or if he will pay for her lawyer fees.
While it seems there’s a new artist on the scene every single day, it’s important to highlight those who are using their platform for the greater good. InsertEvander Griiim, who aims to inspire and motivate the masses with his music, positioning himself to be a voice for people chasing success and all the highs and lows that come with it.
Hailing from El Paso, Texas, but now residing in sunny Los Angeles, Evander Griiim is inspired by the likes of PARTYNEXTDOOR, Rae Sremmurd, and Big Sean. His sound fuses the genres of hip-hop and R&B, with lyrics inspired by real-life experiences. And if there’s one thing you can count on from Evander, it’s his love, passion, and care about his art and artistry.
In describing himself, Evander states he’s “a super energetic person, approachable. Somebody who you could talk to. If you really get to know me, you know I’m a little bit vulnerable. A little bit emotional. On the weekends, I’m the one you call to have a good time. If anything bad or whatever happened, you’re the one to call me to help you get out of it.”
Most recently, Evander Griiim unveiled the official music video for “New Woman,” giving fans a glimpse into the reality of things we all go through in life. He’s also been locked in the studio with producer ChaseTheMoney, working on a forthcoming collab tape.
AllHipHop spoke with Evander Griiim in downtown Los Angeles to discuss his background, new visual “New Woman,” his purpose, best fan encounter, linking with ChaseTheMoney, goals, and more!
AllHipHop: Your nickname is Tio Griiim, is that because you play the uncle figure?
Yeah, the fans started calling me that. They started saying they were all my nephews. I guess you can call me the cool uncle where you get in trouble, you don’t want to call your mom. F### it, let me call my uncle. He’ll help me out.
AllHipHop: Do you have a big family?
Evander Griiim: I do and I don’t. My immediate family is my mom, my sister and I. We’re super, super tight. We all have tattoos together. When my mom first came to this country, she’s from Mexico. We stayed in this little apartment together, so we all got the door of the apartment. It was cool.
AllHipHop: Coming up then, did you think you’d be doing music?
Evander Griiim: My whole life, I’ve always wanted to do music. My mom wanted me to go to school really bad. Because who really believes that this could happen? It’s a one in a million thing, so I get why she didn’t want me to do it. Once she saw the impact I was doing, the fans and the amount of stuff I was able to do, she’s like “go full force.” Now, she’s my #1 fan.
AllHipHop: So you didn’t finish school?
Evander Griiim: I finished high school. My mom used to drop me off at community college. As soon as she dropped me off, I’d wait for her to leave. My homie would pick me up and we’d go to the studio. One of those times was when I made this song called “Right Now” that Gucci Mane had jumped on.
AllHipHop: Talk about that moment! Was that after Rich The Kid…?
Evander Griiim: It wasn’t through him, but Rich The Kid was the first one to remix me. That buzz started circulating, then he hit me up like “nah, let me do it.” I’m like bet.
AllHipHop: How much did that turn you up?
Evander Griiim: It turned me up a lot honestly, that really was a staple in my career. That was a milestone for sure. Looking forward to the future. I’m ready for what’s to come.
AllHipHop: You just dropped “New Woman,” how does it feel to have it out?
Evander Griiim: It’s beautiful. I make all my music from truth. Especially the newer music I have coming out, everything’s from truth. Creating that record was something that was happening in my life currently, in that very moment. That record is very special to me, being able to express myself and people reciprocate to it.
AllHipHop: What was your creative vision with the music video?
Evander Griiim: The video was shot by this company ImYourNeighbor, it was styled by lorealssaint. The way that the video came about, we were creating from truth. Everything that I’ve put out, especially as of recent, I want people to see a little glimpse inside of my life and be able to relate to it. Not everything is going to be glitz, glamour, rooftop vibes. Sometimes it’d be Sunday and you’re alone, you’re thinking like damn, I’m not living right. You haveremorse or guilt of certain situations. Creating the video, I really wanted to et that through with the colors, the scenes, and the ambiance of everything.
AllHipHop: Talk about how all your videos connect with each other, I know it stems off your last video, “Tom Ford.”
Evander Griiim: “Tom Ford,” you consider that a Friday. It’s a Friday night, I’ve been grinding all week. I got a vibe at the house. The apartment’s wavy, everything’s super player. I’m having a great time, everything’s cool. Life is good, I got a girl with me. I’d consider “New Woman” to be Sunday or Monday, being like damn, why’d I do that? I’m a degenerate, that was hollow.
AllHipHop: Damn! You don’t have to beat yourself up over it…
Evander Griiim: It’s more so the purpose behind doing s###. I’ve been feeling like people, including myself, be trying to get a quick rush. A quick dopamine rush, try to quick fix type s###. So me thinking that partying and f###### with all these different women will put a bandaid over it. But really, I’m avoiding the main source of things. “New Woman” is me hitting that head on to get over it and address the issue, so I can go do things without it stemming from another thing or trying to prove something to another person.
AllHipHop: Are you in a relationship?
Evander Griiim: Yeah I am. Not going to lie, I’ve been with the same girl relatively for 10 years. We’ve had our ups and downs. I’ve been with her since I was 16, she was 15. I’ve told her many times and everybody in my circle knows this, I’m talking from truth every single time. This is my art and I’m not gonna fabricate anything. If n*ggas come out in a song or I say some s### in a song, everyone’s gonna have to deal with it. Because this is my truth, this is who I am. I’m not gonna be faking anything.
AllHipHop: How do you feel Evander has evolved from 16 to now?
Evander Griiim: Really doing music at 16 was me rebelling. It was pure rebellion music: uncontrollable energy, f###### off the wall rampage. I’m a whole different person. At that time, everybody told me I couldn’t do it. Oh yeah? I was doing it to prove to them that I could do it. When I did it, okay what now? I took some time off to really define who I am as a person, as a man. Find my purpose.I still have the energy of rebellion, but it’s more contained. It’s more packaged. I can express myself without having to go out of character.
AllHipHop: What is your purpose?
Evander Griiim: My purpose is to relay the message that hey, all this s### is possible. Anything is possible. Whether you want to start a landscaping business, whether you want to do music, whether you want to be a nurse, whether you want to XYZ. All it takes is relentless dedication, relentless pressure to achieve that purpose. I want people to see me like oh yeah, you can be a player. You can be cool. You can be all these things and still be a man of morals, a man of purpose.
AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio at all times?
Evander Griiim: For sure good lighting. Genuine people around me. I don’t like to be in a studio with 50 people, because then it turns into a show. Okay, now I really have to go in. As opposed to me being vulnerable with people who I trust. Third thing would be either good food, or l good smells. I’m a super sensory person. If it’s too much light or it smells weird, I’ll leave.
AllHipHop: Best encounter with a fan?
Evander Griiim: A fan gave me a blessed rosary from Mexico City. I had a concert. He said he went to Mexico City to go get the rosary and come straight back just to give it to me at my Meet & Greet. I was in shock. I loved it. I was so blessed to have it, it was so genuine. That’s one of my realist day one supporters. I wouldn’t call him a fan, I’ll call him a real supporter. Great guy, his name’s Aaron.
AllHipHop: Have you had any fan out moments?
Evander Griiim: I met a lot of people in my life, a lot of my idols. A time where I super fanned out, it was two different people the same day. The first one was PARTYNEXTDOOR, because he’s my inspiration musically. I’m in love with his process. He was far away and I saw the back of him, I knew it was him. I went up to him, I gave him his flowers. It was more of I met him, he didn’t meet me type of moment. That was incredible.
AllHipHop: Where’d you meet him at?
Evander Griiim: That was at Coachella? You know how in Coachella they have the artist area, and they have the big food communion and everybody’s there? This is when Mac Miller and Ariana Grande were still dating. I swear to God, they had just got their food. They’re walking out of the tent and I’m walking into the tank. I saw them. I saw Mac really, and that s### froze me. I did a 360. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know what to do my hands.
I guess he peeped it. I honestly regret that moment, I should have said what’s up. I didn’t say nothing. I get sad sometimes because damn, I wish I had got famous before to meet him.
AllHipHop: You don’t gotta be famous to meet him!
Evander Griiim: No I’m saying I wish we could have done music together. I be feeling like when n*ggas make music, you could f### with somebody. But for somebody to l get to the level that he’s at, it takes a certain type of dedication. That common ground, people can understand like “yo, let’s lock in.” I do get sad I didn’t say wassup or anything.
AllHipHop: Top five artists rotation right now?
Evander Griiim: Oh big time. Always PARTYNEXTDOOR, cool vibe. I’m listening to Jordan Ward, he’s fire. He’s tough, listening to him heavy. I’m listening to a lot of minimal EDM, people call it Eurotrash. Been listening to that heavy, I love that. I’m listening to Veeze, he’s hard. He was on that song with Lil Baby. I’m listening to a lot of me. I’m creating a tape right now with ChaseTheMoney. Him and I are locked in the studio, going in.
AllHipHop: What can we expect from that project?
Evander Griiim: Whatever people think it’s gonna be, it’s not it. We are creating a whole new sound. We’ve been in the studio together every single day for the past two weeks. It’s crazy because
I met him at this Nickelodeon event. It was a Spongebob and Urban Outfitters, here in LA. It was fire, it was cool. They had me model it, and they had him pull up too. We bumped into each other. But I didn’t meet him on some I knew who he was. It was more like “oh s###, my bad bro. Excuse me.” He’s like “oh, what’s your name?” He’s like, “Chase.” “My name’s Evander.” We got each other’s contact.
AllHipHop: You didn’t even know the other person did music? That’s tight.
Evander Griiim: Nothing. We followed each other. We’d been working, just individually. One day, I texted him like “yo, what are you doing? Are you at the studio?” He’s like “yeah, pull up.” I pull up, we did one song that night. The next day, he calls me like “bro I have a crazy idea,I don’t know if you’re with it. I think we caught a crazy vibe. I see this vision, let’s do a tape together.” I said “I’m on the way right now!” Literally as soon as I hung up, I got in the whip. I haven’t left the studio since.
AllHipHop: How do you feel you guys bounce off each other? To do a project with one producer, it’s synergy. It’s a bond.
Evander Griiim: It’s dope. It’s really cool working with him, he’s really funny. He’s a hard ass too, but good guy. The energy, we’re pushing each other. We’re not settling for anything. We’re both very musically inclined. We’re willing to push the pen forward. A lot of jokes, a lot of chill vibes. Yeah, for sure. Te studio sessions have literally been me, him, and maybe another producer will come in. Somebody who’s also a part of his camp, but it’s been very closed off. We’ll get in at 2 in the afternoon, 3 latest. We’ll get out of there at 4 in the morning, every day.
AllHipHop: Is there a theme or a name to the project?
Evander Griiim: Not yet, we’re just recording heavy. We want to do 8 to 10 songs, but we’re almost there. It’s beautiful. I really feel we’re pushing each other to make the best work, his best beats and then my best flows.
AllHipHop: Would you say you’re more R&B-leaning…?
Evander Griiim: As of right now, yes. My rap is hard, but how people connect to my R&B s###, that’s what I strive for. How can they connect to me? How can they understand me? That’s where I’m at.
AllHipHop: What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Evander Griiim: I play poker. I love kicking it with my friends and family. Having barbecues at the crib, big time on that. Watch a cool movie.
AllHipHop: Do you have any goals for yourself?
Evander Griiim: Big time. I have a lot of health goals. Been in the gym, just working. Trying to get better. Personal goals, I have a tattoo on my thigh right here. It’s a list of everything I want to accomplish in life. I have “touch a million.” I have “buy my mom a house in Kino.” Kino is a beach in Mexico that she used to go to when she was a kid. I have “Platinum plaque,” then I have “biggest artist in the world.” As s### starts going, I’m gonna cross them out little by little.
AllHipHop: What’s it going to take to be the biggest artist in the world?
Evander Griiim: It’s going to take the best version of myself, and dedication. Understand what it takes, but I’m not too big on that because music’s opinionated. Your favorite rapper could be my least favorite rapper. Right now, who would you say the biggest artist in the world?
AllHipHop: I think everyone says Drake.
Evander Griiim: Everyone says Drake, but then somebody down the street would say Bad Bunny or Taylor Swift. It’s opinionated, but I’ll just be the best version of myself.
AllHipHop: Talk about collaborating with Lil Yachty, what did that moment mean for you?
Evander Griiim: That was a beautiful moment. At the time, he was super young. He was fresh in the game, he could’ve got a feature from anybody. It was dope how he asked me to be on it. He had a show in El Paso, my hometown. I had pulled up and he said “let me bring you out.” I said bet.
AllHipHop: Just like that?
Evander Griiim: Just like that. He’s a real genuine guy. Everybody in the industry knows how he is forreal, real good guy. So I sent him the songs. As soon as the first millisecond of the song, the crowd went ballistic. It was 8K people in there, they’re going crazy. Ballistic. I run out there, incredible show. I get off stage, we’re in the run SUV driving back. He’s like, “bro, you’re crazy. Let me play you this s### real quick. I don’t got no hook on it. Let me see what you can do.” He plays it, it has no hook. I said “send it to me, I’ll work it out.” I’m acting cool at the time. But in my head, I’m lit. I was super lit.
AllHipHop: Did you already have an idea for the hook?
Evander Griiim: Nah, I didn’t. I’m like, let me sit on it. Yeah. A week goes by, I was in the studio. I do one take, just one run at it. Let me not overthink you. Let me bounce that and send it to him, see what he says. So I sent it to him. He FaceTimed me like “it’s over. Let’s go.” Then it came out.
AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let the people know?
Evander Griiim: Look out for me for sure, because my work ethic is going to outbeat my talent. It’ll outbeat anybody. I don’t care who it is, I’m working for it. You don’t have to respect me, but you should for sure respect the hustle.
Harlem rapper Azealia Banks is not letting her recent trip to the Land Down Under in December 2022 just kangaroo hop out of her mind.
After believing she was treated unfairly by promoters in Australia, the “212” recording artist is gearing up to file a lawsuit, blasting the talent agents, Bizarro and Point Productions, for not paying her for parts of the tour.
Banks called the men’s business dealings a bunch of ‘scams.’
The promoters took issue because Banks did not perform all of the dates.
Two planned shows, one in Melbourne and the other in Sydney, were postponed because of her “visa issues.”
In December she said on social media, “The entire run was a set-up scam between Bizarro and Point Blank Productions. Both promoters got paid off of my hard work and are now trying to cite all these stupid things as reasons not to pay me a dime.”
The artist has been soliciting representation on social media. She posted in her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, April 25, “Looking for a very very powerful lawyer in OZ to take care of that situation in December.”
Adding, “Paying TOP dollar. To launch a full-on lawsuit. No litigators need apply.”
No word on if she has secured anyone to represent her yet.

The self-proclaimed “Grandfather of Trash TV,” Jerry Springer, has died at the age of 79.
While most people know the talk show host from his hit show, “The Jerry Springer Show,” he started his career in politics. He served as the mayor of Cincinnati from 1977 to 1978.
According to CNN, his revolutionary show, which some say contributed to the decline of American culture, ended in 2018. It ran for more than 4,000 episodes
Like his talk show, his career in politics was messy. He resigned from Cincinnati’s City Council after officials discovered he was paying prostitutes with checks in 1974. He was re-elected the next year overwhelmingly and then selected by the body to serve as mayor.
“If government, any government, is to have any positive effect on our lives, which after all, is its purpose – to make life more tolerable – then that government must bear some relationship to how we live,” he said in his mayoral inauguration speech.
So bold and honest, which was one of his most beloved traits, when running for governor in the early 80s, he said in a commercial, he was not afraid of the truth “even if it hurts.”
While he did not win, people loved him just the same.
“Jerry’s ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word,” Jene Galvin, a lifelong friend and spokesman for the family, said in a statement.
When he ended “The Jerry Springer Show,” he launched another reality-based show called “Judge Jerry.” It performed well but did not supersede the show that had everyone shouting “Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!” and asking for beads to show their breasts.
Springer’s family said in a statement that supporters should consider making a charitable donation or doing an act of kindness for someone in need to honor the host’s memory.
Boldy James could have died in an accident earlier this year, but he is doing much better now.
The Griselda emcee was in a car accident on January 9 that left him in critical condition.
AllHipHop conferred with sources close to the rapper and they said that he is faring much better than when the news broke of the terrible two-car collision.
“For the most part, he’s doing great. Long road ahead, but he’s way beyond what we thought he would be right now,” the confidant said.
Back in January, things were less optimistic, as the rapper entered the hospital suffering a broken vertebrae in his neck and orthopedic injuries. He had surgery on his neck and began the process of recovery.
Despite the setback of the car accident, Boldy James has continued to ring out in the Hip-Hop world, and our source insists he will fully overcome, coming back stronger.
He also admitted that the rapper was “hard-headed” despite his positive prognosis.
Seven-time Grammy winner Toni Braxton has entered into a partnership with Lifetime.
Braxton’s Braxtoni Productions company signed an “all-encompassing” production deal with Lifetime. Lifetime’s Los Angeles offices will house the Braxtoni Productions headquarters.
“Lifetime has been home to my film and TV projects for the past decade. My team and I are looking forward to continued success with the network as we bring projects to life for the audience that has so graciously welcomed us into their homes over the years,” states Toni Braxton.
The Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart biopic premiered on Lifetime in January 2016. Braxton also previously starred in and executive produced the Lifetime movies Twist of Faith (2013), Faith Under Fire (2018), and Everyday is Christmas (2018).
“We are thrilled to continue our long-standing relationship with Toni and continue to have her as part of the Lifetime family,” states Tanya Lopez, Executive Vice President of Scripted Content, Lifetime & LMN.
Lopez continues, “We love partnering with her on storytelling, whether it be a heart-warming holiday romance or a gritty new project, Toni is an excellent producing partner, a wonderfully versatile actress, and our audiences have shown us just how much they love seeing her on our air.”
Prior to jumping into the film/television world, Toni Braxton established herself as an R&B icon. Her self-titled debut album spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in 1994. The RIAA certified Toni Braxton as 8x-Platinum in 1997.
“Un-Break My Heart” held the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for eleven weeks. The Diane Warren-written single from 1996 lives on Braxton’s second studio LP, Secrets. Her discography also contains other albums like 2000’s The Heat, 2005’s Libra, 2014’s Love, Marriage & Divorce with Babyface, and 2020’s Spell My Name.

According to reports, music star Lizzo partnered with the Dove Self-Esteem Project, Common Sense Media, and Parents Together Action to back the 2023 Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA).
“Social media is supposed to be a place where people can express themselves and be a source for beauty and confidence, not anxiety, that’s why I’m partnering with Dove again and calling on platforms to do more to make social media safe for young people,” stated Lizzo.
The Special album creator also added, “Seeing the negative impact social media is having on youth mental health today is devastating and has to stop. Join us and use your voice to help make a change.”
Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal and Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn introduced the Kids Online Safety Act bill in the U.S. Senate. The legislation’s stated goal is to help protect minors on social media from self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, substance abuse, and sexual exploitation.
“Even after being confronted with compelling evidence of the damage their platforms can inflict, Big Tech remains unwilling to change. The Kids Online Safety Act will address those harms,” said Senator Blackburn.
Additionally, Senator Blumenthal said, “The Commerce Committee’s markup of the Kids Online Safety Act will bring us closer to holding Big Tech accountable for putting profits above kids’ safety.”
Fight For The Future Calls On Lizzo To Meet With LGBTQ Experts About KOSA
However, some LGBTQ activists are pushing back on the Kids Online Safety Act. Fight for the Future launched an open letter campaign calling on Lizzo to end her support for the bi-partisan legislation.
“We are writing to you as fans and supporters of your work to tell you ‘Exactly How I Feel’ and to express our concern about your support for the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA),” reads Fight for the Future’s letter addressed to Lizzo.
The open letter continues, “While we appreciate your dedication to empowering young people, making them feel ‘Special,’ and your thoughtful comments on the harms of social media, we fear that you have been misled about this legislation, which would harm youth rather than helping them.”
According to Fight for the Future, numerous LGBTQ rights, human rights, and civil rights organizations oppose the Kids Online Safety Act. Groups such as the ACLU, American Library Association, and GLAAD signed another letter expressing opposition to KOSA.
Fight for the Future’s open letter to Lizzo also reads, “KOSA could even restrict your own feminist and body-positive content from being shown to minors. If social media companies become legally liable for recommending a broad area of content to children, they will simply suppress all such content for kids, rather than determining which content is ‘positive’ and which is ‘harmful.'”
In addition, Fight for the Future argues that KOSA could cause censorship of LGBTQ content and prevent kids from having access to vital online resources around body positivity, healthy relationships, and other topics. The protest group also called on Lizzo to meet with human rights and LGBTQ experts to discuss the concerns about KOSA.
Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris’s Red Table Talk needs a new distributor. Facebook Watch will no longer broadcast the talk show after five seasons.
According to Deadline, the Meta-owned Facebook Watch is abandoning its lineup of original programming. That means series such as the Westbrook Studios-produced Red Table Talk have been canceled.
Plus, Meta’s Head of Development and Programming, Mina Lefevre, will be leaving the company. It appears Facebook wants to shift its focus to creating VR experiences in Meta Horizon Worlds.
Red Table Talk premiered in May 2018 and quickly became a headline-creating source of pop culture news. Past guests on the Daytime Emmy and NAACP Image award-winning show include Gabrielle Union, Tiffany Haddish, Kid Cudi, Jordyn Woods, T.I. & Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and Lauren London.
One of the most-viral episodes of Red Table Talk featured married celebrity couple, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith. Viewers from around the world tuned in to see Will’s reaction to the gossip surrounding Jada’s so-called “entanglement” with R&B singer August Alsina.
That conversation between Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith spawned the “Sad Will” memes that took over the internet. The “Jada Brings Herself to the Table” installment of Red Table Talk amassed more than 39 million views on Facebook.
In addition to Pinkett Smith’s RTT, Facebook Watch also presented other original series like Steve Harvey’s Steve on Watch, Taraji P. Henson’s Piece of Mind, Tom Brady’s Tom vs. Time, Post Malone’s Celebrity World Pong League, and Cardi B’s Cardi Tries.

Joe Budden says Frank Ocean’s polarizing Coachella set was on-brand, claiming the Grammy-Award-winning singer has always been a “scammer.”
The outspoken rapper turned podcaster slammed the “Novacane” hitmaker during the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast. He accused Frank Ocean of making questionable moves throughout his career.
“Frank Ocean is a scammer,” Joe Budden began his tirade. “He’s a scammer for the way he got out of his [Def Jam] Universal contract. I think most of the scams are genius. He’ll always wear the scammer tag for me. That f##### up a lot of artists, he didn’t care. Lost a lot of artist revenue streams, took Apple out the game, he didn’t care.”
Joe Budden continued, claiming Frank Ocean has been a scammer since at least 2016 when he dropped the visual album Endless to fulfill his Def Jam contract before dropping a bombshell the following day when he released his official sophomore LP Blonde independently.
When he returned to the topic of Frank Ocean’s debut headlining Coachella set, he acknowledged the singer’s “genius.” However, Joe Budden says Coachella should have told the singer to “suck my dick” and “get the f### out of here.” According to the podcaster, “Y’all could have got DaBaby for a quarter of the price.”
Joe Budden also blasted Frank Ocean for teasing a new album during his controversial Coachella set.
“I’d smack the s### out of you!” he raged. “What the f### are you talking about, you f###### idiot?! Everybody is here for your stupid ass who ain’t put out music in ages, and you can’t even confirm if there’s new music coming?! The arrogance of these n#####, yo.”
While Joe Budden was incensed over Frank Ocean’s performance, Justin Bieber was a fan. “I was blown away by Frank Ocean’s Coachella performance,” he gushed.
