Yo Gotti & Angela Simmons Make Their Romance Instagram Official

Yo Gotti has tried for years to woo Angela Simmons into his arms, but she repeatedly rebuffed his advances. Now, it looks like the Collective Music Group founder can finally celebrate—the two are officially an item. On Saturday (December 31), Simmons shared a series of Instagram photos to her account showing the couple celebrating New Year’s Eve.

Dressed to the nines in all black and dripping with diamonds, they drank champagne and posed with a black Rolls-Royce. In one of the photos, Yo Gotti holds an umbrella for Simmons to shield her from the rain. The caption on the post says it all: “You are all I need and more.”

Yo Gotti has been carrying a torch for Angela Simmons since at least 2015 when he released “Down In The DMs.” As he raps in the song: “And I just followed Angela (Simmons) / Boy, I got a crush on Angela Simmons/ They like, ‘Damn, Gotti, you bold’ (bold)/ F–k it, I’m gon’ let the world know (goals).”

Rumors the two had finally linked up started swirling in September when they celebrated Simmons’ 35th birthday together in Miami. The following month, the budding couple enjoyed a trip to Dubai where they rode camels and ATVs in the desert.

To commemorate the occasion, Yo Gotti shared a video of their New Year’s Eve shenanigans to his Instagram account and bragged about his apparent “victory.” In the clip, he can be heard wishing Simmons a “Happy New Year” and telling her she “looks good.” He added in the caption: “Ain loss a crush since High School.” In a second post, Yo Gotti is photographed grabbing Simmons’ rear, making it crystal clear they’re more than friends (finally). Master P & Son Romeo Miller Make Peace Following Vicious Public Feud

Master P and his eldest son, Romeo Miller, have made peace following a vicious public feud. The two shared matching photos to their respective Instagram accounts on Saturday (December 31) explaining they’d had a long, fruitful conversation that resulted in a truce.

“In order to be used, you have to be willing to be misunderstood and humiliated sometimes,” Miller wrote in the caption. “Noah was mocked for building the boat, Jairus showed us that sometimes we have to be willing to walk through the dead places so that God could show us how he can use every situation. No one ever thought little David could defeat the giant, and we all know the mistreatment of Jesus. My point, I’m willing to fall on my sword for mines!

“It was never about parent vs child, or this false narrative or that, it was about doing whatever had to be done for the growth of my family. Today, December 31, me and my father @masterp had very hard conversations; ironically outside in the rain. In order for any generation to grow, that communication has to be had and reciprocated on both sides. The good, the bad, and the ugly. No matter the journey ahead, our family can truly begin to heal and I believe many others will use our story as an example to learn from. What a way to close the year! Vivre (live) l’amour (love) et pardonner (forgive).”

He ended his post with the hashtag #ForTyTy,” a nod to his little sister Tytyana Miller who died of a drug overdose earlier this year.

Master P appeared relived he and Romeo Miller were finally able to move forward with more clarity. As he wrote in his caption, “Happy New Years 2023 is all about ‘forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.. Pressing toward the Goal.’ Philippians 3:13. As a parent, I’m growing, taking self-accountability and educating my family and the next generation. Love takes growth and forgiveness. Seek God first, and everything else will fall into place. @romeomiller and to all of my kids We All We Got!”

A post shared by Master P (@masterp)

Master P and Romeo Miller indicated they were having problems earlier this month. On December 18, the No Limit boss admitted he hadn’t spoken to his son in months in a since-deleted Instagram post.

“I wouldn’t wish this on no parent, especially when you try to do everything you can for your kids,” he wrote at the time. “@romeomiller What’s the plan? You are either part of the problem or the solution. I love you and the door is always open for you but I won’t tolerate disrespect. I haven’t talked to you or seen you in months. God knows I’ve tried to do my best.”

Miller fired back with numerous social media posts, suggesting Master P has had a habit of lying to him. He wrote: “This year I will get my first Rap Snacks check and finally start receiving my earnings from my bags. I was told as kid that we owned Rap Snacks, and that my payday would come after put in work and sold company, silly me! I promoted a company for free for 15+ years based on the word of my pops, without being allowed to see any contracts or even meet with the team, and I stayed loyal … but I’m entitled and ungrateful now?”

Master P later accused Miller of treating him like an “ATM machine” as the fight dragged on. For now, it seems the two are back in each other’s good graces and ready to conquer 2023 as a family unit.

Uncle Murda Disses Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion, Freddie Gibbs & Will Smith, Drags Ye & Calls Kim K. A “B####” On “Rap Up 2023”

Uncle Murda trashed a number of rappers during his annual 2023, which clocks in at 15 minutes. This might be his best one yet!

Rapper Uncle Murda released his annual year-end review song, “Rap Up 2023,” on Sunday (January 1). The Brooklyn rapper provided a street perspective as a year-end review of the events that occurred in the past year, starting off over Jodeci’s “Can I Talk To You” by Jodeci.

This year’s song, “Rap Up 2023,” is a long 15 minutes since so much happened in 2022!

First and foremost, Uncle Murda tackles the elephant in the room: Will Smith’s infamous Chris Rock slap at the Oscars. After apologizing to Will Smith over 2021’s “Rap Up,” Uncle Murda was back on Smith’s head.

He even brought up Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett’s battle with alopecia again, but the real bars were directed at August Alsina. Uncle Murda found it ironic Pinkett had an affair with the singer, who ended up admitting he was gay in 2022.

Last year, Uncle Murda predicted Lil Nas X would get AIDS and this year, he claims Alsina will catch Monkey Pox after the disease spread through the gay community.

Uncle Murda also claimed Kanye West lost his mind after Pete Davidson stole the rapper’s “b####” Kim Kardashian—and that’s why Ye went off on Jews and blew his $2 billion fortune by losing deals with GAP, Balenciaga and Adidas.

Freddie Gibbs ended up getting dissed by Uncle Murda for getting beat up and robbed in Buffalo by Griselda members. Irv Gotti caught some strays and was accused of being “corny” for blabbing about his affair with Ashanti.

Uncle Murda also trashes Gunna and calls him a snitch for taking a deal to gain his freedom as Young Thug sits in jail. He also clowned Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez and Pardison Fontaine for not knowing his lady slept with the other rappers.

He then calls T.I. a snitch and makes fun of the Atlanta rapper for trying to be a comedian while claiming the U.S. lost to Russia for trading “Juwanna Mann,” aka Britney Griner, for Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout.

Uncle Murda had a few bars for Benzino too, after he was supposedly caught in a controversy with a transvestite after a phone call leaked.

Overall, “Rap Up” is a must-listen for anyone looking to laugh their way through the craziness of 2022. So go ahead and give it a spin, and let Uncle Murda help you wrap up this wild year with a smile and a few laughs.

Mystery Surrounds Removal Of PartyNextDoor’s Music From Spotify And Apple Music

Fans of PartyNextDoor were left disappointed and confused on New Year’s Eve because his entire discography was inexplicably removed from popular streaming platforms Spotify and Apple Music.

The news made #PartyNextDoor trend on Twitter as fans tried to figure out what was happening.

Some suspected it was due to a dispute with the musician’s record label, OVO Sounds, while others speculated that it was all part of a marketing ploy.

However, for PartyNextDoor’s fans, the news was a terrible way to end 2022.

Many took to social media to express their dismay and frustration, saying they felt “betrayed” by the sudden removal of the musician’s music.

Earlier this month, Diddy surprised fans with a new single with PartyNextDoor titled ‘Sex in the Porsche,” which is still available.

However, the issue is more than just with PartyNextDoor’s music.

Fans of OVO Sound artists were left scratching their heads as albums from dvsn, Roy Woods, and Majid Jordan also suddenly vanished.

The disappearance of the music, which occurred for no known reason yet, has caused mass confusion.

Despite the removals, there has yet to be an official statement from OVO Sound or the artists regarding the disappearance of the music.

Drake formed OVO Sound after the release of Drake’s third studio album, Nothing Was the Same, in 2012.

The rap mega-star joined forces with long-time collaborators Noah “40” Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib to officially launch the record label.

Until more information becomes available, fans will have to continue to wait and wonder about the reason behind the sudden removal of their favorite artists’ music from streaming platforms.

EXCLUSIVE: XXXTENTACION Murder Suspect Demands Drake & Akademiks Testify At Trial

XXXTENTACION murder suspect, Dedrick Williams, wants Drake to testify at trial. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Williams and his attorney, Mauricio Padilla, filed a motion requesting Drake’s participation.

The docs read, “The testimony of the said Aubrey Drake Graham is material to the case, and it is
necessary to take the deposition of the said Aubrey Drake Graham to prevent the failure of justice.”

While Padilla acknowledges Drake is a “international celebrity” who may be difficult to serve, he wants the Honorable Court to enter an order for Drake’s testimony to be taken before an official court reporter.

A post shared by champagnepapi (@champagnepapi)

But that’s not all. Padilla is also requesting the testimony of one Livingston Allen—better known as Akademiks. As the court docs explain, multiple attempts have been made to haul him in for a deposition to no avail.

“Mr. Allen was properly served for a deposition and failed to appear on October 26, 2022,” the paperwork states. “Defense obtained a CNA for said date. Mr. Allen was properly served with a Trial Subpoena in this case. The undersigned has taken steps to serve him with another subpoena for January 5, 2023. The process server has indicated that despite there being cars outside the home and people inside the home, they are refusing to open the door.

“Mr. Allen, who goes by the stage name ‘DJ Akademiks’ posted his podcast on December 21, where he openly discusses the case, acknowledges being served and states, ‘I am not showing up to court to talk to y’all n****s’. It is clear that nothing short of a court order will ensure Mr. Allen’s participation in a deposition.”

The paperwork concludes, “The defendant is indigent and further attempts to serve Mr. Allen would be an unnecessary financial burden as he has already indicated publicly that he will not voluntarily be part of the process.”

As for Drake, Padilla believes he’s somehow connected to XXXTENTACION’s 2018 murder outside of RIVA Motorsports. Earlier this month, Padilla filed paperwork suggesting Drake raps about it in some of his lyrics. He cited “On BS” from Drake’s latest album Her Loss in which he raps: “Maybe I should break that 10, do a five, then if it gets live, do a five again/If he held his tongue on that live, he’d be alive again, damn/I never put no prices on the beef until we end this s###.”

Williams and his legal team allege the beef between XXXTENTACION and Drake started in 2017 after the OVO Sound founder released the song “KMT.” XXXTENTACION accused Drake of stealing his cadence and began harassing him on social media, a possible motive for Drake to get involved.

Singer Rasheeda Wallace Takes Her “Street Soul” To The Masses After Playing The Background

Rasheeda Wallace is a modern-day Renaissance woman. She is well known to play the background, behind many of the biggest names in music, entertainment and social media as a public relations and branding consultant. Recently, she has yielded to her calling as a singer-songwriter leveraging her work with Chaka Khan and a host of other Grammy winning artists and producers. Now, she moves forward into her own greatness with a new single, “Rafters.” We chatted with the very grown and very sexy New York native to gather how she found her way after helping so many on their journeys.

AllHipHop: Tell us how you transitioned into an artist.

Rasheeda Wallace: Well, first I was born to sing . I discovered my own talent at the age of 12 . I then pursued my music endeavor when I hit 13 years of age.  I, then won the Apollo show 3 times and I knew then that I would be rocking stages everywhere and this is what I really wanted to do.  I stepped in the Marketing and branding world because I wasn’t getting the support I needed.  I learned what was needed to be successful in the business so I started seeing others who needed help so I started putting my energy into their careers when I wasn’t receiving it for myself.

AllHipHop: Have people accepted this new version of you?

Rasheeda Wallace: Yes, I’m getting alot of love from new people that I’ve met recently and a few fans from back in the day but there are alot of people that didn’t know that I sing because I was putting my PR/ Marketing executive hat on and doing my thing in that arena.  But, now I’m back baby and showing every creative and business part of me.

AllHipHop: What resistance have you encountered?

Rasheeda Wallace: I have encountered some hateration from people that found out that I blow it down on the mic and it’s weird.  I have also encountered people that didn’t fully believe in me in the early 2000s are now more supportive because they see thicker and fuller women in the limelight. Shout out to Lizzo and other emerging artists.  It’s sad that I had to encounter prejudices in this business when I started.  There were always words that were said to me like “you’re cute in the face,” and “you’re a pretty girl but..you gotta lose the weight” and stuff like that.

AllHipHop: How do you explain your singing style?

Rasheeda Wallace: My singing style is what I call “Street Soul,” which I started that in 2003/2004 when I first started recording my first EP.  The sound is a raw edgy, but sultry feel.

AllHipHop In your opinion, is R&B dead? Do you feel like you will help push it forward?

Rasheeda Wallace: No, I don’t believe that R&B is dead at all.  I believe if artists stop copying the new trappy non-singing sound and labels keep pushing the same ol’ sh#t, we can do amazing things.

AllHipHop: Who are your top 5 Dead or Alive singers?

Rasheeda Wallace: My top 5 – not in order – are”

Mary J. Blige, because of her grit and feeling in every word she sings.

Chaka Khan for her sultry range is second to none.

Ledisi, people sleep on her soulful voice.

Lauryn Hill. I love her tone and her vocal runs, her writing style and versatility.

Jazmine Sullivan is just getting her respect for her her down-to-Earth relatability and forwardness

AllHipHop: What are your ultimate goals?

Rasheeda Wallace: You seem like you are hustling in many directions?

My ultimate goal is to create a world that I can have people live in through my eyes, sounds and experiences.  That’s through creating good dope ass classic music, inspiring and motivating others by teaching how to Get into Land buying and developing while owning and also helping other progress in their careers such as I did through my marketing branding and Public relations services over 8 years ago.   So my hustle is not a hustle itsa a lifestyle.  I make sure whatever I do I manifest it, believe it and walk in my purpose just knowing that it shall be done.  So it’s music, Acting, modeling, land developing and opening up essential businesses, producing TV shows etc.

Westside Gunn Reveals Eastside Flip—Who Graces The “10” Album Cover—Overdosed

Westside Gunn is undoubtedly impressed by a particular Buffalo native who seems to have at least nine lives. On Saturday (December 31), the Griselda mastermind revealed Eastside Flip—the man who graces the 10 album cover—had overdosed. While Flip survived, his saga was evidently just beginning. As Westside Gunn explained in a tweet: “Flip OD’d on the Block, took to the hospital brought back to life, was released. Then got locked up and already out since last night #LEGEND #EASTSIDEBUFFALOSHIT.”

Speaking to AllHipHop last month, Westside Gunn talked about Eastside Flip’s penchant for drugs and debauchery.

“He’s been on a lot of my projects as skits,” he said at the time. “He’s my guy. He’s just the neighborhood fiend, a bit of a crackhead, but he’s a cool dude. I took him down to Miami Art Basal last year. He got arrested and everything. He hit a cop. He’s crazy. I’m actually going to see him today. He’s crazy as f### though. We shooting a video today and he’s just a loose cannon. Everybody in my whole city knows Flip.”

In fact, Eastside Flip has his own Instagram account and apparently raps. As one person noted in the comments: “I wish flip could get clean and take rap serious and rap with Griselda as a lil career for him, have him become a motivational speaker to the fiends in the hood of Buffalo and all over! He could start programs and shelters for the homeless and former drug addicts.”

Whether Eastside Flip will take another route remains to be seen, but it appears Westside Gunn is ready for a change. On Friday (December 30), Westside announced he was retiring in a series of tweets.

“23’ def my last year doing this s###,” he wrote. “I don’t have nothing else 2prove, I put my team on, I put my city on, I worked w/everybody I ever wanted to work with, plus MFs still don’t even understand 1-10, FLYGOD, Awesome GOD, or Pray for Paris(mind u Virgil did the cover) im the [GOAT].”

He continued: “I know I say I’m a retire all the time so ppl might be like he always say this,” he wrote. “Seriously I been thru so much with this s### behind closed doors y’all would never know, it’s brought more pain than joy I’m just so G that I make it look super easy but I fight these devils everyday.”

Before Westside Gunn officially bids adieu to rapping, he has a few loose ends to tie up. In honor of Eastside Flip, he decided to post a snippet of his forthcoming video for “Super Kick Party,” which stars—yep!—Eastside Flip. Watch it below.

Doja Cat On Some Creep’s Kill List – Until Cops Step In

A crazed fan, who was embarrassed by Grammy Award winner Doja Cat in a private group chat, has reportedly threatened her life. However, law enforcement was quick to jump in, after being notified of the individual’s remarks.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has already identified a guy, who earlier in the week was talking slick in a fan-centered private chat hosted by the “Say So” recording artist. When his language started to get out of hand, Doja Cat ejected him from the room. He returned later and said he was going to kill the Doja and would see her soon.

Sources state this prompted the celebrity to call the police on (Thursday) December 29 to file a complaint. Law enforcement is now investigating it as a criminal threat.

This is not the only time Doja Cat was connected to controversy while in a chat room. In May 2020, the artist was allegedly in a chat room with white supremacists using racially derogatory language.

AllHipHop.com that she apologized and denied intentionally engaging with racists in a now deleted Instagram post.

She said, “I learned that there are racist people who come in and out of the chat. They happen, then they’re banned. The idea that this chat room is a white supremacist chat room  – I don’t understand it in any way. There is racism that happens across Tinychat, Instagram, and Twitter. This sh*t happens everywhere. It just happens more on Tinychat because it’s not as monitored.”

“So when you see racist sh*t on Tinychat, it’s because people aren’t paying attention. There are mods that are idle. There was a time where I was a mod and I was able to ban people for actions like that or harassing women. This happens a lot on Tinychat. But Tinychat is a place for everybody,” She continued.

Doja Cat added, “I’ve seen it and I know I’ve been targeted by it, and I know that it’s controllable. But the narrative that it’s a white supremacist chat is completely incorrect. It’s absolutely, 100% f*cking incorrect.”

Barbara Walters, Trailblazing Journalist Who Interviewed JAY-Z, Kanye West, Diddy & More, Dead At 93

Barbara Walters, trailblazing journalist and television icon, has reportedly died at 93. According to ABC, she passed away quietly at her New York City residence on Friday (December 30). Walters was famous for her in-depth interviews with important cultural figures, celebrities, musicians, residents and sports legends. She also never shied away from interviewing Hip Hop artists—no matter how controversial. From JAY-Z and Kanye West to Will Smith and Diddy, Walters had a way of getting even the most hardened rappers to open up.

In 2005, Walters included Kanye West on her list of the “10 Most Fascinating People of 2005,” while JAY-Z made the list the following year. West popped up on the same list again in 2013. Years later, she got Diddy to admit he envied JAY-Z’s and Beyoncé’s relationship during an appearance on The View, the daytime talkshow Walters founded.

“I’d love to have what Jay and Beyonce have,” Diddy said at the time. “My ideal woman has to have intellect and soul. I don’t woo them with flowers, I need to know they like me for real.”

Walters also sat down with Will Smith multiple times over the years for extensive interviews, one of which went slightly left when the blockbuster movie star suggested the AIDS virus was created by the government.

Although Walters officially retired from journalism in 2014, her legacy lives on through her provocative conversations with hundreds of subjects. Her 1999 interview with Monica Lewinsky, former president Bill Clinton’s infamous mistress, netted the biggest audience ever for a journalist.

Beyond Walters’ interviews, the Emmy Award-winner’s moxie helped blaze a trail for other women to follow beginning in the 1960s. After putting in 12 years at NBC, she became the highest-paid television journalist when she accepted a $1 million contract from ABC. At one point, she was earning as much as $12 million per year at the company, where she worked from 1976 until her retirement.

Naturally, Twitter has blown up with reactions to Barbara Walters’ death. Fellow anchor Dan Rather, actress Alyssa Milano, NBA superstar Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and co-worker David Muir were among the hundreds mourning on social media. Check out some of the reactions below.

Ye Tops Palestinian Authority On Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Anti-Semitism 2023 List

The Simon Wiesenthal Center has released its annual Global Anti-Semitism Top Ten list, and the person to hit the top of the chart in 2022 is none other than Ye (formerly known as Kanye West).

The list includes organizations and individuals who have contributed to the spread of anti-Semitism. The rapper topped the United Nations Human Rights Council, Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian Authority, and the Black Hebrew Israelite Movement.

Ye has made headlines this year for his anti-Semitic comments about Jewish people, including tweeting that he was going to “deathcon 3 on Jewish people,” expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler, and denying parts of the Holocaust on Alex Jones’s Infowars show, while suggesting that Jews should forgive Hitler.

The mainstreaming of anti-Semitism on social media, led partly by Ye, has had severe consequences. It has fueled anti-Semitic hate crimes and normalized anti-Jewish hate speech, causing harm and fear for Jewish individuals worldwide.

“The unprecedented mainstreaming of Jew-hatred on social media, led by Kanye West (Ye), fueled anti-Semitic hate crimes and normalized anti-Jewish hate speech,” stated Rabbi Marvin Hier, SWC Founder and CEO. “Politicians offer words of solace to Jewish victims but failed to take effective measures to curb the attacks, while UN diplomats, cultural and academic elite often legitimize hatred of the Jewish state.”

Earlier this month, Ye was named “Antisemite of the Year” by watchdog group StopAntisemitism, who called him the “most problematic” person of 2022.

The group made its decision after weeks of research and nearly 10,000 votes from members online.

As a result of Ye’s actions, Adidas, GAP, and Balenciaga ended their partnerships with him, causing his net worth to plummet from over $2 billion to just over $400 million.

Ye also had his honorary degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago revoked and has been suspended from Twitter and Instagram for his vitriolic speech.

YSL’s Tick Admits Young Thug Was Mad He Didn’t Beat Or Shoot Victim In Shocking Plea Admission

Trontavious Stephens, one of Young Thug’s co-defendants in YSL RICO case, accepted a plea deal on Thursday (December 29).

Stephens, who’s also known as Tick, admitted YSL associates sold drugs at two gas stations in Atlanta at Thursday’s court hearing. Stephens confirmed Young Thug chided YSL members for not attacking or shooting someone in a group chat in May 2021.

“Y’all ain’t beat him up or shot him yet?” Young Thug asked Stephens and other YSL members. “Y’all getting soft.”

Stephens pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. He was sentenced to 10 years with two years commuted to time served and eight years of probation.

The 29-year-old man became Young Thug’s eighth co-defendant to plead guilty instead of facing trial. Gunna, Lil Duke, Slimelife Shawty and Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk were among the other men who accepted plea deals in the RICO case.

Stephens and another co-defendant named Antonio Sledge agreed to testify at trial as part of their plea deals. Young Thug’s co-defendants Derontae Bebee and Tenquarius Mender were offered plea deals, but both men rejected the offers.

Jury selection in Young Thug’s RICO case is scheduled to begin on January 4. The trial is expected to start on January 9.

Westside Gunn Confirms It – He’s Retiring From Rap

Westside Gunn announced plans to retire from rap after 2023.

The Griselda Records founder revealed his intentions to step away via social media on Friday (December 30). Westside Gunn reflected on his career and explained why he’s retiring in a series of Twitter posts.

Westside Gunn claimed he was retiring a few times in recent years, but he continued to release new music. He acknowledged his past retirement bluffs before detailing why his latest declaration is different.

“I know I say I’m a retire all the time so ppl might be like he always say this,” he wrote. “Seriously I been thru so much with this s### behind closed doors y’all would never know, it’s brought more pain than joy I’m just so G that I make it look super easy but I fight these devils everyday.”

EXCLUSIVE: MedSpa Owner Goes Hard On The Shade Room In Battle Over 50 Cent’s Penis

A MedSpa owner believes 50 Cent wrongfully sued her instead of The Shade Room in a dispute over his penis.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, attorneys for Angela Kogan submitted affirmative defenses to 50 Cent’s lawsuit on Thursday (December 29). The G-Unit rapper sued Kogan for allegedly implying he received penis enlargement surgery.

Kogan’s lawyers pointed the blame at The Shade Room in their defense of the MedSpa owner. Her attorneys said 50 Cent’s true gripe is with The Shade Room, which published a photo of him and Kogan together alongside an article about penis enlargement surgery.

“Plaintiff is not entitled to relief against Defendants as Plaintiff has failed to properly plead against the offending party; namely, The Shade Room,” Kogan’s lawyers contended. “The Shade Room is the author of the Article, and pulled the Photo from Kogan’s social media without Kogan’s permission or consent. The Shade Room is the publisher of the Article, and Plaintiff has improperly applied the actions of The Shade Room to Defendant.”

Kogan participated in an interview with The Shade Room for a story about penis enlargement, but she didn’t provide the outlet with her photo of 50 Cent. She denied insinuating he underwent the surgery.

50 Cent sued Kogan for unauthorized misappropriation, invasion of privacy, false endorsement, false advertising, conversion and unjust enrichment. His lawsuit took aim at Kogan’s photo of the two posing together, which she claimed he agreed to let her use on social media.

“Plaintiff is not entitled to relief against Defendants, as Plaintiff is not the owner of the Photo,” her attorneys maintained. “As Kogan is the owner of the Photo, Kogan maintains copyright ownership therein, which rights preempt right of publicity claims.”

They added, “Plaintiff is not entitled to relief against Defendants, as the Photo and use thereof was taken in exchange for MedSpa services provided by Defendants to Plaintiff. In exchange for Plaintiff’s receipt of MedSpa services, Plaintiff consented to Kogan’s taking and use of the Photo.”

Kogan’s attorneys said 50 Cent “has not suffered any actual injury or harm.” His case will head to trial in July 2023 if a settlement isn’t reached.

Humiliated Tattooed Dude Must Pay Cardi B’s Hefty Legal Bills

The man who filed a complaint against Cardi B has been ordered to pay her legal fees.

Plaintiff Kevin Brophy filed a lawsuit against “Up” rapper Cardi B for using an image of his back tattoo on the cover of her mixtape “Gangsta B***h Music Vol 1.”

After a jury found in October this year that the cover art did not otherwise use Brophy’s likeness or portray him in a negative light, Brophy filed a request to overturn the verdict.

US District Judge Cormac J Carney ruled against overturning the earlier jury’s verdict, arguing that the filing was too late and lacked merit. The judge subsequently ordered Brophy to pay the rapper’s attorney fees.

In a ruling, the judge argued that “reasons abound to sustain the jury’s verdict of not liable on all claims” – including that, on the cover, “the model appears non-white with black hair while Brophy is white and has a shaved head.”

For this reason, the judge ruled that the man on the mixtape’s cover could not be mistaken for Brophy, despite the copied tattoo.

“The jury had an ample basis for its verdict. For example, the jury could have reasonably concluded that the back tattoo on the model on the mixtape cover at issue in this suit was not sufficiently identifiable with Brophy to constitute misappropriation of his likeness or depiction in a false light,” the judge summarized. “Because the model’s face is not visible, identification based on facial appearance is impossible.”

Pop Smoke’s Brooklyn Mural Vandalized By Thugs

A mural of the late rapper Pop Smoke has been vandalized.

Located in the chart-topper’s hometown of Brooklyn, on the side of a papi/ahki shop at 8125 Flatlands Ave, the blue-sky wall with Pop Smoke’s smiling face at the end was defaced not just with graffiti— but a vile message.

The soulless hoodlum wrote “Woo K” in black spray paint across the sky and cloud portion of the piece.

The term is disturbing enough. The Woo, according to Respect my Region, is a Brooklyn gang blended of Blood and Crip members.

But for some, “K” means “killer,” making the vandalization a proclamation of hate for the set and someone considered one of the most iconic voices of the gang.

According to some to members of the Woo, “Woo K” means the same thing “C K”  conveys to members of the Crip gang.

A photo of the diss started to make its rounds on Wednesday, December 28th.

The original piece was commissioned by Hattas Studios, the group that did similar tributes to King Von and Nipsey Hussle.

This is not the first time a Pop Smoke memorial site has been vandalized.

Thugs smashed a grave marker and a marble plaque at the Green-Wood Cemetery last year.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, Pop Smoke, whose real name was Bashar Jackson, was murdered in an Airbnb in Hollywood Hills in February 2020, allegedly by a group of teens and young adults who broke in to rob the rising star.

New York City To Observe The National Day of Remembrance for Gun-Related Homicide Victims

The City of New York will recognize The National Day of Remembrance for Gun-Related Homicide Victims on Friday, Dec. 30 at 3 pm at the Barclays Center at 620 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, the actual borough that has had the most murders in it for almost ten years.

According to a press release, Mayor Eric Adams and New York City’s Czar of Gun Violence Prevention, Andre “AT” Mitchell will be hosting the city’s inaugural observance, standing in solidarity with other municipalities across the United States, particularly those who have lost an excessive amount of citizens to gun violence.

Other government officials, community members, faith-based leaderships, violence interrupters, and other anti-violence organizations will also host.

Some of the cities are Mt. Vernon, NY; Chicago, IL; Newark, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD; Atlanta, GA; Washington, D.C.; Jacksonville, FL; Durham & Charlotte N.C.; and Jackson, MS, but more are sure to step up.

Special guest speakers will be Audrey Jackson (Mother of Pop Smoke) and Mysonne Da General (Rap Artist, Civil Rights Activist, and Co-founder of Until Freedom), and they will speak on behalf of the “families, loved ones, and friends of the 240 victims identified in 2022 who lost their lives to the scourge of gun violence, will be there to stand together in healing and hope.”

A.T. Mitchell said, “As we come to the end of the year, we will have a conversation about gun violence numbers for 2022, as we should.”

Adding that those who were lost are not just numbers, “they were fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones. We need to remember them publicly, by name as we close out this year and begin a new one with a collective citywide New Year’s Resolution to further intensify the work to reduce and prevent the disease of gun violence in 2023.”

Ironically, according to CBS News, the nation’s deadliest city, St. Louis is not one of the cities participating. Baltimore, a city with a murder rate of 58.27 per 100,000, makes the list at #2. D.C. enters into the list of top 20 murderous cities at #13 and Philly comes in at #16.

Atlanta misses the list, coming in at #22 and having a murder rate of 19.53 per 100,000. Not all of the violence is fueled by Black-on-Black crime. Last year, a gunman shot up a spa, killing eight people (majority Asian). Chicago, which has been in the headlines because of its connection to the violent drill movement, ranks on this national list as #28, with Newark right behind it at #30.

Jacksonville arrives on the list at #45.

Two North Carolina metropolitans rounded up the list on Durham hits the compilation at #52 and Charlotte at #59.

New York City does not make the list.

The observance will start with a release of the doves ceremony. The reading of gun-related homicide victims’ names (in groups of ten) will follow.

The ceremony will conclude with a release of a single white balloon to represent the recognition of life and the commitment to Peace in the New Year.

Trae Tha Truth Arrested For Assaulting Z-Ro

Recording artist and philanthropist Trae The Truth turned himself in to authorities yesterday (December 29th) after rapper Z-Ro pressed charges against him for assault following an altercation in Houston in August 2022.

Z-Ro accused Trae The Truth (also his cousin) of assault following an altercation on August 27th after a charity dinner hosted by rap star 50 Cent as part of his annual Tycoon Weekend.

In a video statement released after the one-sided fight, Z-Ro claimed that he was approached by Trae and was asked to speak with him privately.

When Z-Ro agreed and followed Trae to the side of a bus, he claimed he was punched and then attacked by a group of unknown individuals.

The altercation was captured on video, showing multiple people punching and kicking Z-Ro. The rapper also indicated that he did not know the individuals who participated in the attack.

Trae discussed his demeanor with AllHipHop during an interview prior to his fight with Z-Ro.

“I’m a laid back cat. I’m cool as can be until you create the monster, then I can be something way different. Most of the time I’m laid back and cool man. It makes me feel different when so many people can see me on TV or see me doing this or doing that, then see me in public and realize “man, he’s the same as us and just as cool as us,” Trae told AllHipHop.com.

In a previous interview with AllHipHop, Z-Ro also discussed his meaning of the “G-Code.”

“It means that you keep it real with your peoples, but more importantly, you keep it real with yourself. You are a grown man who takes care of his responsibility. You are aware that only the strong survive, and you survive the best way you know how. I am not saying that people should go out and hustle drugs or kill, but I know firsthand because I had to deal with that type of stuff. As I said earlier, being honest and real with yourself and others,” Z-Ro told AllHipHop.com.

Despite the charges, Trae remains in good spirits and is currently out on bail while awaiting the next steps in his defense against the accusations.

Trae is well-known for his charitable efforts, including providing aid for the Jackson water crisis, participating in rescue efforts in Florida, supporting youth causes, and, most recently, helping an elderly woman who was arrested for not paying her trash bill.

The rapper’s fans are hoping for a swift resolution to the situation.
