Billionaire Ronald Lauder Demands Apple Music And Spotify Removes All Kanye West Music

The President of the World Jewish Congress is calling for streaming services to pull down music made by Kanye West.

According to the New York Post, Ronald Lauder, the heir to the Estée Lauder estate and fortune, sent a letter to the CEO of Apple Music, Tim Cook and Spotify CEO Daniel Ek saying it was “unacceptable that neither Apple Music, nor Spotify have removed Mr. West’s music” after his continued spewing of anti-Jewish hate speech.

“Kanye West’s antisemitic tirades go beyond trafficking in conspiracy theories. He is espousing Nazism in its purest, most hateful form, and is perhaps the singular embodiment of the alarming rise of Jew-hatred in America,” Lauder, a billionaire philanthropist, wrote.

“As long as his hateful voice is carried on Apple and Spotify’s music streaming platforms, they are in league with those who wish harm to Jews the world over,” he said.

By keeping it up, Lauder believes the companies are “profiting off of Jewish hate.”

Lauder applauded German apparel company Adidas; a company actually founded by Nazis for severing their ties with Kanye— long before he publicly said he likes “Hitler.”

After saying he was “relieved” of the three-striped company’s move to stop working with Ye’s Yeezy Brand, he noted “their delay in making what should have been a clear-cut decision to rid their halls of such a dangerous voice is unacceptable.”

No word on the streaming platform’s response to the demand.

Apple Music, which broke records when it debuted the artist’s “Donda” album live, did remove a Kanye West Essentials playlist from the platform after he first made his anti-Jewish rant on Twitter in October.

DJ Akademiks Says He Will Choke Lil Baby To Death

It appears DJ Akademiks is still upset that Lil Baby may have thrown a few jabs at him on the It’s Only Me album. So much so, that Ak told his Twitch audience that he wants to brawl with Lil Baby.

“Really straight to war, n#### can’t beat me. Akademiks know he ain’t as rich as me. Brodie’s ready to eat for a twenty-piece. I ain’t got nothing to say to you mini-mes,” rapped Baby on “From Now On” off It’s Only Me.

Lil Baby seemed to reference DJ Akademiks on the “Top Priority” track too. The apparent It’s Only Me disses caused Akademiks to call the Quality Control Music recording artist “Short Bus Baby” during an interview.

DJ Akademiks took his combative commentary about the 4PF crew leader even further while on a recent Twitch live stream. The Off The Record podcast host called out Lil Baby for a physical confrontation.

“I will fight Lil Baby for free or for money. I just want to get in the ring with him. You don’t got no 4PF, n####, I will choke you to death. I will punch you in your face. You’re not doing s###,” said Akademiks in a clip circulating online.

The controversial YouTuber added, “You’re a f###### retarded rapper. You can’t do s###. Stop it! Who gonna stand on that? By the way, I’m putting this out on a public medium. If Lil baby really thought it was some s###, he’d be like, ‘Ak, let’s really get into it.'”

It has been a busy week for DJ Akademiks. Not only has he continued his bad blood with Lil Baby, but Ak also found himself feuding with Yung Miami of the City Girls. That online confrontation led to Saucy Santana and Sean “Diddy” Combs jumping into the conflict.

Meek Mill Praises Young Thug For Helping A Sexually Abused Kid

Jeffery “Young Thug” Williams faces a felony RICO indictment in his home state of Georgia. While the rap star deals with serious legal troubles, his “We Ball” collaborator Meek Mill celebrated him on social media.

In addition to the racketeering charges, this week saw Fulton County prosecutors file additional misdemeanor charges against Young Thug. On Tuesday afternoon, Meek Mill reacted to the news by sharing a personal story about Thugger.

“It was a kid that was keeping his lights on at a detention center and kept getting in trouble,” tweeted Meek. “We found out he was being raped by his uncle at night so he wanted the lights on. I called Thug. He stayed on the phone with him til sun up on [Facetime]!”

The Philadelphia-raised rapper added, “[Young Thug helping] that kid boost his confidence back up and get his head right was hero s### to me! All [of] this bad media, I just thought I’d say that!!!!”

Meek Mill later posted, “I was tryna say ‘thug’ stayed up to fix that kid’s broken soul when he heard about his situation from us helping the kid. He immediately used his platform to save a child and help him get confidence to rebuild [himself] for [hours]. That shouldn’t go in the dark!”

Both Young Thug & Meek Mill Have Had Run-Ins With The Law

Young Thug’s arrest in May halted his entertainment career. A judge denied the 31-year-old Atlanta native bail on multiple occasions. A judge also decided to keep fellow YSL recording artist, Sergio “Gunna” Kitchens, locked up with no bail for his RICO indictment.

Gunna and Young Thug are among two dozen defendants in Fulton County’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act case. Thug also faces drug and firearm charges. Both Slime Language album contributors maintain their innocence.

Meek Mill (born Robert Williams) has lived behind bars as well. In 2017, he famously served time in a Pennsylvania prison for violating his probation. The state’s Superior Court eventually overturned Meek’s 2008 firearm/drug conviction which led to that eight-year probation sentence.

The Effects of Hip-Hop Music on the Brain

Hip Hop has been one of the most prominent musical genres on the global stage for years. Rap songs often top both domestic and international charts. Millions of the style’s lovers cannot picture their lives without a soundtrack of their favorite tunes.

An individual’s personality, day-to-day experiences, and productivity would be affected by such a fervent devotion to a particular musical genre. For example, college students seem to be the greatest rap enthusiasts in society.

However, does their enthusiasm for Hip Hop hinder their capacity to learn in any way? Is it a constructive force? How does music impact their brains and the likelihood of academic success? This article examines the positive and negative effects of Hip-Hop music on the brain.

The Positive Effects of Hip-Hop Music

Hip-hop is connected with self-expression and rags-to-riches stories, and, for this, has been the subject of criticism. The genre has served as the background for several cultural revolutions and contains themes of both unity and conflict. It is hardly surprising that it frequently evokes profoundly emotional reactions from listeners.

Perhaps as a result of its emotional power, the style has begun to appear in unexpected locations, including therapy. In recent years, the medical sector has embraced “hip-hop therapy” as a valid method for treating mental illnesses, among them depression and anxiety.

To get an understanding of how music impacts emotion, it is worthwhile to examine its effects on the human brain. Several researchers have identified a connection between music and dopamine. However, the majority of experts agree that although there are similarities between musical genres and physiological reactions, each individual responds uniquely to varied musical stimuli.

When it comes to hip-hop, in particular, scientific evidence indicates the presence of significant connections to both emotional and creative reserves. Consequently, rap music can help relieve stress as its soundtracks create positive energy in humans.

Historically, the genre has not had a tight association with therapy, but the situation may soon change. As the medical establishment and the hip-hop community come to accept the encouraging discoveries, even more obstacles may be removed.

The Negative Effects of Hip-Hop Music

Despite the positive effects of rap music on your brain, there are negative aspects of hip-hop. Many rappers use objectification, murder, and drugs as their trade tools. It should not come as a surprise when, after listening to rap music, men feel more materialistic while women become more self-conscious, and everyone becomes more prone to violence.

We are justified in our skepticism about broad critiques of rap. As has occurred in the past, they might be founded on racism or eurocentrism. However, the concerns extend beyond a single musical genre. You will be affected by any violent music or one that depicts consumerism or misogyny, which are common in Hip-hop.

Does Music Facilitate Study?

Music may stimulate both the left and right hemispheres of the brain. What does this imply for us? The stimulation of both spheres enhances its capacity. Consequently, students might experience increased brain activity and enhanced memory. All without even trying! Brain activity already increases concentration and attention retention. As a consequence, you can learn, memorize, and comprehend material more effectively. However, that’s not all.

Second, music may boost one’s motivation and productivity. It may enhance mood and reduce tension. Besides, it calms individuals and improves their mental condition, therefore filtering out external worries.

Frequently, studying is accompanied by stressful events, including examinations and the like. During stressful times or shortly before an exam, listening to music might help students relax and concentrate on the subject at hand rather than their fears. However, they may also choose to find help from academic writing services. Professional writers are particularly important when you don’t have enough time.

Custom Writings is one of the most affordable essay writing services that can help you with your papers, allowing you to pay less for high-quality assignments. The website has one of the best ratings on review sites, indicating that most of its users are satisfied with the services they get. Most of the customers claim they felt satisfied with the quality of work, customer support, and money-back guarantees. The site offers assignment assistance, written research papers, cheap essays, proofreading, editing, and other professional services.

What Music Genres May Be Useful When Studying?

Can we discuss musical genres now that we are aware of the good influence music has on the learning process? Does it matter what genre of music one listens to in order to have such great effects? The answer to both is yes and no.

Certainly, various types of melodies will have varied effects on your mind. Each genre has its own particulars. Some may energize and thrill you while others may serve to calm you. Depending on your needs, each type of music may play a crucial role in your academic achievement.

However, each individual’s musical choices have the most impact on the ultimate outcome. Therefore, as long as you listen to music that pleases and calms you, it is beneficial in every manner. Certainly, it should not distract you from your studies. However, as long as you appreciate what you’re listening to, all of the mood-enhancing effects of music will hold true.

Hip Hop is a Stress Reliever

Currently, Hip Hop is the most popular musical genre in the United States. It is the second most popular genre in the world. In addition, most rap enthusiasts are under 30 years of age. Thus, it is reasonable to conclude that the majority of its listeners are young people, particularly students. How then does their musical taste affect their academic progress?

Inquests have shown that Hip Hop has positive effects on mental health and focus. Unfortunately, studying is often accompanied by anxiousness. Each week, several adolescents suffer from depression, anxiety, and worrisome thoughts related to school. Fortunately, Hip Hop music may lessen the stressful states of mind and bring more tranquility into the lives of students.

It has been shown that the genre may stimulate specific brain regions. Consequently, it is related to our emotions, language, motor and nerve functioning, and even motivation. The combination of the cognitive tasks may result in an increase in productivity and an improvement in mood.

There is something about the distinctive Hip Hop lyrics, peppy tunes, and rhythms that talk directly to our brains. Rap listeners have fewer mental health difficulties than other music lovers of the same age. It makes hip-hop one of the most remarkable music genres despite its notable negative influence.

Therefore, when it comes to studying, a pair of headphones with cheerful rap music may greatly minimize study anxiety and stress. Typically, students’ academic performance suffers from stress and poor self-esteem. They engage in excessive self-doubt and spend more time worrying than learning.

Conclusion

In conclusion, available data shows both positive and negative effects of hip-hop music on youth. Hip-hop lovers can treat their depression and anxiety by listening to rap music. They can avoid the emotional roller coaster that may affect their studies and day-to-day functioning. The genre facilitates studying by stimulating both the left and right hemispheres of the brain, enhancing its overall capacity.

However, the genre also has negative effects, including excessive use of objectification, murder, and drug rhetoric, making men feel more materialistic and women more self-conscious. It then leads to a general aura of violence. However, with a cool head, Hip-Hop has multiple studying benefits to any student.

Thieves Reportedly Demanded Money For Return Of R. Kelly’s Stolen ‘I Admit It’ Recordings

Last week, many people on the internet were shocked to discover a new R. Kelly album titled I Admit It popped up on streaming services. The imprisoned R&B singer’s reps are claiming someone stole his music.

According to TMZ, representatives for R. Kelly contacted authorities about 300 to 500 missing master recordings. The masters apparently disappeared from an Illinois storage facility in February.

An individual named Keith Calbert supposedly reported the alleged crime to the police. Calbert told investigators that two roadies took the master recordings to California and demanded $160,000 to get them back.

The I Admit It album showed up on Spotify and Apple Music on December 9. R. Kelly’s legal team insisted that their client did not authorize the release of the 13-track project. The streaming services quickly removed I Admit It from their respective platforms.

R. Kelly’s Lawyer Says People Are Trying To Profit From Her Client’s Intellectual Property

“A police report was filed some time ago because his masters were stolen, but there’s not much of an appetite to investigate these things,” Kelly’s attorney, Jennifer Bonjean, told The Hollywood Reporter.

Bonjean continued, “People have had access to his intellectual property rights that they are attempting to profit off of, but unfortunately that does not include Mr. Kelly.” The lawyer also said the situation is upsetting for the 55-year-old felon.

Last year, a New York federal jury convicted Robert “R.” Kelly of racketeering and sex-related crimes. In September of this year, an Illinois federal jury found Kelly guilty of the production of child pornography and enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity.

United States District Judge Ann M. Donnell sentenced R. Kelly to 30 years in federal prison for his 2021 convictions in New York. Sentencing for the 2022 child pornography trial will take place on February 23, 2023.

First-Week Sales Projections For A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s ‘Me vs. Myself’ Are In

Will A Boogie wit da Hoodie score another Top 5 entry on the Billboard 200 chart with Me vs. Myself? According to the latest sales projections, Me vs. Myself will likely miss that goal.

HitsDailyDouble reports A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s most recent studio LP will likely land at #7 on next week’s Billboard 200. The set is on pace to rack up around 50,000 first-week units.

If that projection holds up, Me vs. Myself will open with a significant decrease in first-week sales from 2020’s Artist 2.0. A Boogie’s third studio album became his first release to cross the 100,000-unit mark.

Artist 2.0 debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart by earning 111,000 album-equivalent units. Back in 2018, Hoodie SZN also came out of the gate at #2 with 90,000 units.

However, Hoodie SZN eventually rose to #1 and remained in the top spot for three weeks. 2017’s The Bigger Artist peaked at #4. A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s debut studio LP collected 67,000 first-week units.

Even though it appears Me vs. Myself will experience a sales decline from The Bigger Artist, Hoodie SZN, and Artist 2.0, A Boogie expressed pride in the album. The New Yorker recently explained why he believes it is his best work to date.

“This feels like my best project in that way where I can really listen to something in the car, something in the crib at the same time I was going out, still hearing it in the club. This is my favorite vibe right now,” stated A Boogie wit da Hoodie.

SZA Announces First North American Arena Tour

Over the last several years, SZA has risen to mainstream status. The R&B singer-songwriter’s latest album, SOS, is on pace to pull in huge first-week numbers. Fans across the continent will get to see her live on stage in 2023.

SZA plans to head out on the road next year in support of her new body of work. The S.O.S. Tour will be the first arena tour of the Top Dawg Entertainment artist’s career.

The trek kicks off in Columbus, Ohio on February 21. SZA will also travel to other cities such as Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Seattle, Vancouver, and Los Angeles.

Omar Apollo will serve as the opening act for The S.O.S. Tour. The Mexican-American performer scored a Grammy nomination this year for Best New Artist. Apollo released his Ivory album in April.

SZA won her first Grammy Award earlier this year. Her contribution to Doja Cat’s “Kiss Me More” helped secure a victory in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.

For the SOS album, SZA recruited Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard as features. The LP is now projected to debut with close to 300,000 first-week units.

SOS follows 2017’s critically-acclaimed Ctrl. That Top Dawg/RCA release debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart with 60,000 album-equivalent units. The RIAA certified Ctrl as 3x-Platinum.

Tickets for SZA’s The S.O.S. Tour go on sale starting Friday, December 16 at 12 pm local time on szasos.com

GloRilla’s “Nasty” Bedroom Practice Shocks The Internet

GloRilla left social media fans stunned after revealing what she gets up to with her man behind closed doors.

The CMG rapper shared the saucy tidbit during a recent appearance on the Lip Service Podcast. As usual, the hosts delved into the rapper’s personal life, asking about the “nastiest” thing she has done in the bedroom.

“I do some s### that I never heard of,” GloRilla explained before the hosts asked for specific examples.

“It’s some weird s### but okay,’ she continued. “Say, for instance we just got done eating, right? Say we’ve got done eating, we have sex right after, and it’s on my food. Imma still eat it… if there’s nut on my food imma eat it.”

After GloRilla and the hosts exploded with laughter, she added. “Just nut it on my fries real quick and imma eat it.”

Once clips of the podcast went viral online, the rapper quickly became a trending topic on Twitter. Social media users responded in droves, with some horrified by the admission.

“That why her voice be sounding like that,’ was one response. Another suggested Glorilla needs media training before giving any more interviews. “This is why Motown used to make their artist go through media training back in the 60’s.”

“Sis, you coulda left that in the group chat,” one user replied to the viral clip. “Deep in the group chat. So far back you gotta scroll for like an hour to find it lol.”

GloRilla seemingly caught wind of the internet chatter, taking to Twitter for some damage control.

“I was just playing 😂😂😂😂😂,” she wrote.

GloRilla Shoots Her Shot At Rubi Rose

Elsewhere on the podcast, GloRilla discussed threesomes and also shot her shot at another female rapper. “You know one girl who I like?” she asked before replying, “Rubi Rose.” Check out the clips below and some reactions to Glo’s “nasty” revelation at the end of the page.

Megan Thee Stallion Blasts Tory Lanez For “Making This All About A Sex Scandal” During Testimony

Megan Thee Stallion had her first opportunity to testify in front of a judge on Tuesday (Dec. 13), giving her account of what happened on that evening in July 2020 when she alleges Tory Lanez shot her in the foot.

The “Plan B” hitmaker took the stand at around 11:15 am and proceeded to give three hours of harrowing testimony. The Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta asked the Texas native if she was nervous. “I just don’t feel good. I can’t believe I have to come up here and do this,” Megan replied.

After the lunch break, Megan was even more emotional than she had been during the morning session, breaking down several times while on the stand, according to Rolling Stone.

“Because I was shot, I’ve been turned into some kind of villain, and he’s the victim. This has messed up my whole life,” Megan Thee Stallion stated.

During the trial, the Grammy Award winner admitted she lied to the media when she denied being “intimate” with the singer. She explained she was left feeling “embarrassed,” and considered their relationship irrelevant to the shooting.

“This whole story was about who I’m having sex with, and I don’t understand why that matters,” she told the jury. “It’s disgusting at this point. How can I share my body with somebody who could shoot me?”

Megan Thee Stallion Accuses Tory Lanez of Telling “So Many Lies”

Megan Thee Stallion reaffirmed her allegations that it was Tory Lanez, not her former best friend Kelsey Harris, who shot her.

“Tory came out and told so many different lies, about me not being shot, about him not being the shooter, and making this all about a sex scandal,” she claimed.

“Because I was shot, I’ve been turned into some kind of villain, and he’s the victim. This has messed up my whole life,” Megan added.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, the rapper detailed the events surrounding the July shooting while on the stand. She also explained why she initially failed to tell police that Tory Lanez shot her.

Meet Tomi Tribe – An Entrepreneur Who’s Pushing The Afrobeats Movement In LA

In the past few years, the Afrobeats movement has been steadily taking shape globally. Power players such as Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Burna Boy as well as relative success stories from burgeoning acts in TEMS, Rema, Ayra Starr, C Kay, Omah Lay, Adekunle Gold, and more have been cementing their status.

In Los Angeles, Nigerian-American Tomi Tribe has been at the crux of exporting Afrobeats to different communities in LA. Born Tomi Atolagbe, he is currently based in DTLA but bred in Riverside, CA, Tomi has been throwing weekly parties creating a lane for Afrobeats in the city of angels. But it didn’t come without barricades and obstacles in the way.

“Being a first-generation Nigerian in America, it was hard not to walk in the traditional African path of a doctor,  lawyer, dentist etc.” Tomi unveils. “Lack of support from the community/family made things difficult but also motivational,” says the vibes curator.

A vital Afrobeats integrator in LA, Tomi has been able to utilize his business savvy and affiliations to be a tastemaker with unique business standing. The business acumen he says was forged by his father who is a doctor and entrepreneur, simultaneously you can attribute his style to his cultural background.

“It’s in my culture,” he says. “The Yoruba people of Nigeria are known for music, parties, and enjoyment. My father is a doctor and businessman, so I grew up working for the family business and that gave me the entrepreneur spirit. I’ve never had a job in my adult life, so I’ve always had to hustle to live.”

Through his imprint, Triibe Viibes, they have become the most influential Afrobeats events company in Los Angeles garnering international attention as the home of the official concert after-parties for Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, DJ Tunez, ECOOL, and more. Afrobeats Hollywood at Station 1640 is the first weekly Afrobeats party in LA history.

Gearing up for his maiden EP this November, the trendsetting musicman is preparing another culture-shifting EP that will largely express his sound and vibe. The project will feature a handful of songs with established Nigerian acts such as Peruzzi, weaving through bursting Nigerian Alt sounds in PrettyBoyDO.

“It will showcase my range as a producer,” Tomi says. “It’s called Vibrations Vol.1 E.P. The songs are ‘What You Need’ with Cocoa Sarai, ‘La La’ with Peruzzi, and a duet with Cocoa & Peruzzi ready for December.”

He also says he intends to release it before a month-long trip to Africa which is known to peak in December time since December is a holiday-summer-esque vibe where concerts, festivals, and artists classify it as a busy period of work and networking.

Inspired by pioneers such as Fela Kuti, Diddy, Ye, Wizkid, and Gucci Mane to mention a few, something parallel to all the aforementioned names is their ability to commercialize their music, and brands and also uplift other artists. A common factor with Tomi who hopes to raise the profile of African music to wider audiences.

“My career goals right now are creating as many superstars from Africa as possible,” he says. “There are so many talented artists in Africa that don’t have the proper guidance and outlets. Africa is the future”

Look out for this future mogul in the music business and craft scene.

Sex in the Porsche” follows “Gotta Move On,” released in June, featuring Bryson Tiller, Diddy’s first official release on his new Love Records imprint.

As reported by AllHipHop.Com, Diddy launched the label in partnership with Motown Records back in May.

“Music has always been my first love; LOVE RECORDS is about getting back to the love and making the best music of my life,” Diddy explained at the time. “For the label, I’m focused on creating timeless R&B music with the next generation of artists and producers. Motown is the perfect partner for my album and I’m excited to add to its legacy.”

While Diddy hasn’t released an album since 2006’s Press Play, he is however reportedly working on a follow-up. His fifth studio album is in the works and is expected next year. The rapper is said to be acting as executive producer, curator, and A&R for the upcoming project.

Love Records is dedicated to releasing nothing but R&B projects, so fans can expect some quality slow jams incoming.

Meanwhile, to coincide with the announcement of Love Records, Diddy revealed singer/songwriter Jozzy as the company’s first signed act. The Memphis crooner debuted her single “Replay” at the Billboard Music Awards in May.

Megan Thee Stallion Details Her Mental Anguish At Tory Lanez Shooting Trial

Megan Thee Stallion testified against Tory Lanez in his shooting trial on Tuesday (December 13).

According to multiple reports, Megan Thee Stallion became emotional while reflecting on how the shooting impacted her life. The 27-year-old rapper claimed she wished Tory Lanez killed her due to backlash she’s faced since identifying him as her shooter.

“I can’t even be happy,” she said in court. “I wish he would have shot and killed me if I knew I had to go through this torture.”

Megan Thee Stallion reaffirmed her allegations against Tory Lanez, testifying that he shot her feet in July 2020. She insisted she saw Tory Lanez with a gun in his hand.

Prosecutors said Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez got into an argument after leaving a pool party. Meg’s testimony revealed she was in a car with Tory Lanez and her friend Kelsey Harris, who had a crush on him.

Tory Lanez allegedly tried to instigate issues between the friends. He referred to a sexual relationship he had with Megan Thee Stallion, which Harris didn’t know about. Meg asked to be let out of the car but quickly returned to the vehicle.

“I realize, oh my god, I’m literally at the peak of being so famous right now, and I’m in a thong,” she testified, per Rolling Stone. “And I look crazy, and if anybody sees me walking down the street like this, it’s going to be bad for me.”

But the argument escalated again, prompting Megan Thee Stallion to exit the car for a second time. She walked away from the vehicle and allegedly heard Tory Lanez say, “Dance b####!”

Prosecutors accused Tory Lanez of shooting Megan Thee Stallion three times. She explained why she initially didn’t tell police he shot her.

“This was the height of police brutality and George Floyd,” she testified. “And if I said this man just shot me, I didn’t know if they might shoot first and ask questions later.”

Tory Lanez pleaded not guilty to multiple charges stemming from the alleged shooting. If convicted, he faces up to 22 years in prison.

EXCLUSIVE: Judge Says Hard No; Refuses To Dismiss 50 Cent Penis Fight

A judge denied MedSpa owner Angela Kogan’s motion to dismiss 50 Cent’s lawsuit against her.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Judge Robert Scola Jr. allowed 50 Cent’s penis enlargement lawsuit to move forward. Kogan failed to prove why the case should be dismissed in the judge’s eyes.

“The Court denies the Defendants’ motion to dismiss in its totality,” the judge explained. “All of [50 Cent’s] claims remain viable. The parties will continue to observe the deadlines set forth in the Court’s Scheduling Order and are reminded that they may, at any time, file a motion requesting a settlement conference before United States Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman.”

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, sued Kogan for allegedly implying he received penis enlargement surgery “at the expense of his reputation and dignity.” He accused Kogan of unauthorized use of his likeness for commercial gain. A photo of the two posing together was used by The Shade Room in an article about penis enlargement surgery.

Kogan claimed 50 Cent agreed to let her post the photo on her social media in exchange for MedSpa services. Kogan insisted she never suggested the G-Unit rapper underwent penis enlargement surgery. She believed his true grievance was with The Shade Room, which grabbed the photo from her social media.

Judge Scola struck down Kogan’s arguments against unauthorized misappropriation, invasion of privacy, false endorsement, false advertising, conversion and unjust enrichment. The judge said the facts of the case remained in doubt, making it inappropriate to dismiss the lawsuit.

“The question of Jackson’s consent is a factual issue that the Court must construe in his favor at this juncture,” Judge Scola wrote. “So, despite the Defendants’ repeated assertions that Jackson at least implicitly consented to having his photo used on Instagram in exchange for ‘free medspa services,’ the Court is bound to follow—at least for now—Jackson’s side of the story, which is that he only consented to Kogan’s private use of the photo.”

50 Cent’s lawsuit will head to trial in July 2023 if a settlement isn’t reached. Mediation must be completed by March 2023.

Saucy Santana Vs. Akademiks Might Just Be The Fight Of The Century

In the words of Bubba Sparxx, “It’s getting ugly.”

As the Diddy and Yung Miami relationship drama continues to spill out on social media, Twitter is ablaze with hot takes and furious debates. But nobody (nobody) could’ve predicted a war would be waged between rap’s resident diva Saucy Santana and certified keyboard gangster Akademiks. Par for the course, Akademiks took his dogmatic thoughts to Twitch where he addressed a tweet from Saucy Santana—Yung Miami’s purported bestie—that read: “That’s the thing. You NEVER see that n-gga!!! We outside tho!!!”

Akademiks replied, “I beg for you to try to say I’m not outside ‘cause I will be, and I beg for you to try to step to me. Remember, you a n-gga. You a n-gga.”

After apparently missing Akademiks’ original comments, once Saucy Santana landed in Los Angeles, he was ready with a sassy rebuttal. He wrote: “I just landed in LA! You a twitch b####! At home in a room full of corn chips! Screaming & spitting in a mic. Taking yo aggression out on woman cuz we know u don’t get no p####!!! Dick beater. I know imma MAN everyday when I wake up…that still ain’t gon make u do s###.”

He continued: “N-gga mad cuz he wanna be a city girl. Fat ass lil boy sitting in his room w/ low self esteem. Screaming & beating his chest tryna make a girl feel bad. Wanna be Wendy Williams ass n-gga! Leave the G### some sugar left for our tank!”

Of course, Twitter blew up with reactions to the potential throwdown just as Saucy Santana took it up a notch, begging Akademiks to try him. He added: “B#### ass n-gga even if u was a blogger you dragging it. Like you want a n-gga to buy you a wig or get u pregnant or sumn. Loser ass n-ggas. Come outside!

“Macadamia NUTS gotta come off the porch or S###!!!”

Akademiks, who has a tendency to put himself in the middle of any contentious argument from the comfort of his Twitch chair, called Yung Miami one of Diddy’s “side chicks” earlier this week, which evidently didn’t sit right with the City Girl. The two started going back and forth on Twitter until Akademiks accused her of having a “mental breakdown” over the news Diddy fathered a new baby with another woman.

It got so bad, the Bad Boy mogul stepped in and seemed to suggest he was ready and willing to confront Akademiks over his remarks. While that remains to be seen, an actual physical altercation between Saucy Santana and Akademiks could quite possibly become the fight of the century—at least, that’s what Twitter is saying. Check out some of the reactions below, while we turn up the volume on “Bop Bop.”

EXCLUSIVE: Lawyers Cannot Locate Kanye West; Ask To Serve Rapper Via Text Message

Kanye West’s former attorneys requested permission to use text messages to serve him with legal documents.

Law firm Greenberg Traurig asked for an extension to serve Kanye West after dropping him as a client. Attorneys needed to serve Ye before they could move on from a copyright infringement lawsuit against him.

Judge Analisa Torres granted Greenberg Traurig’s motion to withdraw as Ye’s counsel on November 30. The judge instructed the law firm to personally serve their ex-client with a court order by December 14.

Greenberg Traurig sought a deadline extension after struggling to locate Kanye West. Lawyers previously served him with the motion to withdraw from his case, but Ye stopped communicating with them.

“Ye ceased responding to GT’s attempts to contact him,” lawyer Justin MacLean wrote to Judge Torres. “And despite diligent efforts and the use of a process server, GT has been unable to locate Ye or serve him at the addresses that GT previously understood Ye to frequent. Accordingly, GT has been unable to personally serve Ye with the Order, and thus requests the extension to obtain additional time to attempt personal service.”

Greenberg Traurig urged the judge to extend the deadline to December 24. Attorneys also wanted authorization to serve Kanye West via text message since they cannot track him down. The law firm said the plaintiff and Ye’s co-defendants consented to the requested relief in the copyright infringement lawsuit.

“GT respectfully requests relief from the Court’s requirement to serve Ye personally, and leave to serve the Order on Ye by text message, by itself or in connection with a ‘multi-pronged approach to service,’” MacLean wrote. “GT respectfully submits that no party will suffer prejudice if the extension and request to serve via text are granted. As the Court noted in granting GT’s motion to withdraw, “[d]iscovery in this case is still pending, and no trial date has been set.’”

Greenberg Traurig was representing Kanye West in his legal battle against Ultra International Music Publishing. The company sued him for the unauthorized use of Marshall Jefferson’s song “Move Your Body.” It claimed Ye sampled the track without permission on his Donda 2 album.

Diddy Addresses “Side Chick” Comments About Yung Miami; Implies He Will Pull Up To Akademiks’ House

Diddy clarified his relationship with Yung Miami a few days after revealing he fathered a child with another woman.

The Bad Boy Records founder claimed Yung Miami isn’t his side chick in a Twitter post on Tuesday (December 13). He also appeared to warn Akademiks, who called Yung Miami a side chick and argued with her on social media.

“@yungmiami305 is not my side chick,” Diddy wrote. “Never has been, never will be. She’s very important and special to me, and I don’t play about my Shawty Wop. I don’t discuss things on the internet and I will not start today.”

He added, “So think what you want. But know that if you do something to hurt mine, I’m gonna come to your house and we’re gonna talk about it like human beings. LOVE.”

Yung Miami initially reacted to the side chick label via Twitter on Monday (December 12). She called out Akademiks, who joked about Diddy having “a side baby on his harem of side chicks” in a Twitter post on Saturday (December 10).

“I’M NOBODY SIDE B#### LETS JUST MAKE THIS CLEAR ON THIS GOOD MONDAY!” she wrote. “I don’t come 2nd to no b####!”

She continued, “Akademiks my name ain’t dick so keep it out your mouth!!! You the type of N#### my uncle doing life sentences for B#### ASS N####!!!!! You sit your fat scary ass in the house all day talking online come outside police ass booty boy!”

Akademiks said Yung Miami was having a meltdown, which she denied. The two bickered for a bit on social media before their dust-up ended on Monday afternoon. A day later, Akademiks shared screenshots of Diddy’s Twitter posts on Instagram but didn’t respond to the Hip Hop mogul’s comments.

Jhené Aiko Presents ‘Sleep Soul Relaxing R&B Baby Sleep Music Vol. 2’

R&B singer Jhené Aiko and Hip Hop artist Big Sean welcomed their first child into the world in November. Aiko is fully embracing motherhood by releasing Sleep Soul Relaxing R&B Baby Sleep Music Vol. 2.

The Sleep Soul brand teamed with Jhené Aiko to create the 20-song collection. The 34-year-old Def Jam recording artist also served as the executive producer for the entire project.

“I’m super excited to partner with Sleep Soul to share this R&B lullaby album,” says Aiko. “As a mom of a newborn, I can really appreciate anything that helps me and my baby boy get to sleep.”

The 6-time Grammy nominee adds, “These R&B lullaby tracks help soothe and relax Mom, Dad, and baby. Being a part of a project like this is important to me because I believe sleep is essential for the well-being of both parent and child.”

Jhené Aiko Adds Another Project To Her Musical Catalog

Sleep Soul released Sleep Soul Volume 1 in March. The sleep/meditation app, Calm, prominently featured the album on its platform. Sleep Soul Relaxing R&B Baby Sleep Music Vol. 2 Presented by Jhené Aiko goes live on Calm beginning December 15.

Previously, Jhené Aiko dropped the official studio LPs Souled Out (2014), Trip (2017), and Chilombo (2020). The latter album became the vocalist’s highest-charting project when it debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 152,000 first-week units.

Chilombo garnered two nominations at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2021. Aiko earned nods for Best Progressive R&B Album and Album Of The Year. Plus, the Chilombo track “Lightning & Thunder” with John Legend made it into the Best R&B Performance category.

Jhené Aiko has been involved in an on-again, off-again relationship with Big Sean. The celebrity couple united for 2016’s Twenty88 collaborative album. That joint effort peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200 by selling 48,000 units in its first week of release.

YG Pays Homage to Slim 400 with “Miss My Dawgs” ft. Lil Wayne

Last week rap fans saw YG gift Lil Wayne a 4Hunnid chain on social media during the filming of their new collaborative video “Miss My Dawgs.” Now we get the actual video and more detail behind the song that has quickly developed into a bubbling hit as YG pays homage to his late friend and fellow West Coast emcee Slim 400.

Generating nearly 500k plays in just 4 days for YG, the two trade verses on a track that interpolates Lil Wayne’s song “I Miss My Dawgs” taken from his 2004 album Tha Carter.

YG’s I GOT ISSUES WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!

“Miss My Dawgs,” which is a brand new previously unreleased track, is the first new music from YG since the arrival of I GOT ISSUES in September, his highly personal sixth studio album, boasting features from Hip-Hop heavyweights including J. Cole, Post Malone, Nas, Roddy Rich, and more.

The new album has spun off a string of single + video releases, starting with Scared Money” featuring J. Cole and Moneybagg Yo“Run” featuring Tyga21 Savage, and BIA; and “Toxic,” which hit in August alongside an incredible performance for Berlin’s COLORSxSTUDIOS YouTube channel. The in-studio performance for “Alone” was followed by “Maniac” featuring Hit-Boy; and “I Dance” featuring Duki & Cuco.

For YG, who surpassed the prestigious 10 billion career streams and over 2 billion Youtube Channel views earlier this year, I GOT ISSUES was his first studio album since My Life 4Hunnid (October 2020).  That album debuted at #1 on the Rap Albums charts and hit Top 5 on the Billboard 200 albums. It spun off five breakout singles including “FTP,” which was released during the height of the Black Lives Matter protests and became a social justice anthem for the movement.

Check out the song below and be sure to check out YG’s most recent I GOT ISSUES available now.
