Kelly Rowland Trends Over Film Festival Altercation With “Cannes Karen” Security

The army that Destiny’s Child created was ready to suit up and go to war for Kelly Rowland following a tense interaction she had with security at the Cannes film festival.

On Tuesday (May 21), a video of Rowland walking the red carpet at the premiere for French-Italian film Marcello Mio went viral after fans identified an apparent dust-up between the vocalist and security staff working the event.

After seemingly being rushed off the carpet while attempting to wave to fans and pose for paparazzi, Rowland appeared to lose her temper with one of the female event staff members and engaged in a heated exchange with her.

It’s worth noting that it appears what set the entire interaction off occurred when the woman escorting Rowland allegedly stepped on the singer’s dress. At one point, Rowland appears to be raising her voice and pointer her fingers in the face of the woman in an aggressive manner.

However, according to Cannes insiders, the event staff were allegedly the aggressors in this specific instance, rather than Rowland being a diva.

“The people who are assigned to helping stars walk the red carpet were being aggressive, and Kelly was trying to ignore it,” a source told The Daily Mail. “By the time she got to the last woman she had had it, because she scolded Kelly and told her to move when she was trying to wave to fans and help the paparazzi get their shot.”

Rowland’s altercation quickly began trending on Twitter (X) as an overwhelming majority of her fans and supporters expressed their concern with how she was treated, and also took the opportunity to poke fun about what she told the usher.

In a lengthy tweet shared by @NikkiFowler28 who frequents the festival, the user pointed out that certain attendees were allowed to walk the carpet unaided, alleging prejudice played a role in Rowland’s treatment.

“The difference is striking in how ‘some’ are rushed off the steps with arms in her face and stepping on her dress and some, they will wait patiently for,” Fowler wrote. “To see Kelly endure prejudice, and yes I know exactly what that was by the videos and photos, is sad. Guess what? We aren’t the problem, when I can count on ONE hand how many Black women are in the audience at Cannes, maybe the problem is ‘some’ of your ignorant poorly trained security and ushers that need to leave their Karen ism at home.”

Rowland posted about attending the festival, sharing photos from the red carpet on her personal Instagram and Twitter (X) account, but has not addressed the specifics of the interaction she had with the usher.

Though it’s unconfirmed, multiple social media users are convinced Rowland told the woman something along the lines of “Don’t talk to me like that” and or, “Don’t talk to me like I am a child.” Additionally, a source told The New York Post one of the ushers replied “it’s ok,” when Rowland explained that her dress was being stepped on, which potentially further exacerbated the situation.

Check out the original footage in the tweet links here, and see Rowland’s post about the festival below.

Joe Budden Calls Tahiry “Failed Gold Digger” In Response To Renewed Abuse Claims

Love & Hip-Hop star Tahiry criticized her ex-boyfriend Joe Budden for discussing the disturbing video of Diddy assaulting Cassie. Tahiry was shocked to learn the Joe Budden Podcast covered the incident since she previously accused him of abusing her.

“FOH, Who????” she commented on Instagram. “The irony. This is so triggering!!!! I remember joey throwing me down a flight of stairs dragging me back into the house & me having to talk him into letting me go.”

She added, “FOR HOURS!!!! The whole s### took me out. So hard to watch. So sorry for Cassie and every other woman who is currently going through it or has ever gone through it. It’s tough.”

Budden accused Tahiry of lying and using his name to stay relevant in a lengthy message reposted on his Instagram Stories. He also resorted to name-calling, labeling her a “failed gold digger” and “con woman.”

“You are a lying, failed gold digger that has abused, targeted and manipulated many men,” Budden wrote. “Outside of me you lack an identity which is why you’ve tried desperately to attach yourself to me for over 15 years. The last time I saw you I purchased a mattress from you and you were happy you made the sale, you were fine then. There was that night after Starlets 6 years ago when you invited me inside your new place, you were fine then too.”

He continued, “You were on my body your entire last stint on L&HH and tried your best to disrespect my son’s mother in the process., I had to ask producers to keep you away from us like the cancer you are!! Yet you continue to slight my name online because… it’s your identity. I don’t speak to you or about you because it’s low vibrational. You’re a low level Dyckman con woman that’s been lying about (you already know) for ages. I pray you heal and move on one day, hopefully this is our last exchange…. Prayers to all real victims.”

Tahiry said people close to Budden knew he abused her. The reality TV personality declared she’s no longer afraid of him.

“You can say WHATEVER you want about me!” she wrote. “Those that know me know!!!! I’m not scared of you anymore. You can keep bullying, intimidating the rest. Those that know you and are around you also know the truth. Sad that they continue to enable your behavior. Your time is coming!”

Multiple women have accused Budden of domestic abuse. Tahiry detailed her allegations in a 2020 interview with Hollywood Unlocked.

Saweetie Pulls Out Receipts On Trash-Talking Fan Trying To Be Friendly With Her

Saweetie exposed a fan who proposed a brunch date to her on social media. The Warner Records artist posted a screenshot of the fan disparaging her music alongside an America’s Next Top Model meme to reject the brunch offer on Wednesday (May 22).

“I love Saweetie but sis is a one hit wonder,” the fan wrote in a Twitter post from 2020. “Idc what y’all say I knew her next song wasn’t gon be a hit.”

Saweetie initially seemed open to getting brunch with the fan. She asked, “What city?” when the fan sent her a message saying, “Sis we need to do brunch one day.”

But the fan’s old post came back to bite her. She deleted the post despite standing by her past criticism of Saweetie.

“Well I didn’t lie,” the fan wrote. “I did doubt you sis! But you came back strong yrs later!”

Saweetie released her new single “NANi” on May 17. The multi-platinum-selling rapper heavily promoted the song on social media and blamed her label for it not dropping sooner.

“I asked warner if we could release NANi earlier,” she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) in April. “don’t say i ain’t try.”

Saweetie embarked on a press tour to continue pushing the single. She revealed her past financial struggles in an interview with Power 106.

“I remember I was too proud to tell my friends and my family that I had nowhere to stay and I was literally couch surfing,” she said. “But it was cool because people always wanted me around. So I didn’t have to worry about having a place to stay. My homegirls knew what was going on. But I never wanted to take up space in someone’s house, so I would just keep my closet in my car.”

Diddy’s Apology Slammed By Woman Shot In Face During Infamous 1999 Nightclub Shooting

Chaos erupted at Club New York in Manhattan on December 27, 1999, when a shooting left Natania Reuben with severe injuries and a haunting memory of Diddy pulling the trigger.

Over two decades later, Reuben recounted her harrowing experience and voiced her disdain for a recent video showing Diddy mistreating his former partner Cassie Ventura, bringing fresh scrutiny to his past.

Reuben’s face still carries fragments from the 9mm bullet that struck her that night. Despite years of recounting her story, she remains dismayed by the persistent skepticism and the leniency Diddy received in court.

In an exclusive interview with NewsNation, she sharply criticized Diddy’s apology, referencing the video where he addresses Cassie’s accusations.

“I was disgusted. I was disgusted at a very deep place first and foremost because it validated everything we already knew and suspected,” Reuben said. “I was very saddened for Cassie because she had to be revictimized by this thing being presented. She told her narrative and for so many people it wasn’t enough.”

During the trial that followed the nightclub shooting, Reuben testified that she saw Diddy hold a black gun before she was struck.

Despite the testimony, Diddy was acquitted of all charges, while rapper Shyne, involved in the same incident, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on assault and weapons charges.

Reuben maintains that Diddy should have faced similar charges, if not more severe, for attempted murder and criminal possession of a firearm.

Reuben continues to assert her clear view of the incident and has even offered to undergo procedures to remove the bullet fragments in her face as potential evidence, hoping to reignite efforts for a new trial.

The ordeal hasn’t just left physical scars but has also led to significant backlash within the community, where speaking out against influential figures can be fraught with challenges.

“I got called out the entire time. There was a narrative that we should never speak ill of somebody in the culture or another black man. But I was also raised to speak truth to power. I always spoke up and I’m not going to stop now,” Reuben stated firmly.

As the controversies surrounding Diddy persist, Reuben’s story calls attention to the broader issue of accountability and the enduring struggle victims face when challenging powerful individuals. She remains steadfast in her pursuit of justice, unwilling to let her voice be silenced.

EXCLUSIVE: B.G. Insists Legal Scrutiny Of His Lyrics Violates First Amendment

B.G. pushed back against prosecutors’ efforts to modify the terms of his supervised release. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, the rapper’s lawyers contested a proposed condition requiring him to submit his lyrics to a probation officer before releasing any songs.

Judge Susie Morgan ordered B.G. to provide lyrics to every song he’s recorded since his release from prison ahead of a hearing scheduled for June 18. He complied with the Louisiana judge’s order on Tuesday (May 21), as first reported by The Guardian.

B.G., whose real name is Christopher Dorsey, submitted his lyrics under seal for “intellectual property reasons.” His legal team said continued scrutiny of his lyrics would violate his First Amendment rights.

“As to the Government’s request for Mr. Dorsey to provide U.S. Probation (and the government) with lyrics ‘for any song that he may write, in whole or in part, while on supervised release,’ it is respectfully submitted that this request is overly broad and violates the First Amendment and due process,” his attorneys wrote. “It is respectfully submitted that requiring Mr. Dorsey to submit his mental impressions and lyrics for any song that he may write, whole or in part, would constitute a prior restraint. It is respectfully submitted that Mr. Dorsey should be permitted to write and express his own thoughts without fear that he needs to provide all lyrics to U.S. Probation and the Government.”

They added, “Besides Mr. Dorsey, are there any other music artists on supervised release in this District or throughout the United States being required to submit all of their song lyrics to U.S. Probation and the Government? Significantly, Mr. Dorsey’s song lyrics have not resulted in any criminal activity. It is respectfully submitted that blaming someone’s music for violence is like blaming Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone for violent crimes because of their movies. Furthermore, evaluating lyrics for alleged supervised release violations would result in arbitrary, vague and subjective enforcement. Accordingly, the proposed condition as it relates to the submission of future lyrics/mental impressions should not be adopted by this Honorable Court.”

Lawyers also sought clarification on the prosecution’s proposal to block B.G. from associating or working with convicted felons without the court’s written approval. Attorneys wanted the conditions to be reworded since “many people in the entertainment industry have felonies.” B.G.’s legal team said he will report to his probation officer “if he inadvertently meets someone who he knows is a felon.”

B.G. spent more than a decade in prison for gun and witness tampering charges. He was released in 2023. The New Orleans native denied violating the terms of his supervised release.

Mayor Adams Under Pressure As NYC Politicians Attack Disgraced Diddy

Several New York City Council members are calling on Mayor Eric Adams to revoke Diddy’s key to the city following a video showing him allegedly assaulting his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

The footage, which surfaced recently, has spurred public outrage and local leaders to take firm stances against the music mogul.

Council Member Sandy Nurse spoke with TMZ, saying, “Mayor Adams should promptly withdraw Diddy’s key to the city. An abuser loses the right to hold such an honor and must be held accountable. The Mayor should lead by example and rescind it.”

Similarly, Council Member Shaun Abreu asserted, “Mayor Adams should seize Diddy’s key and shut the door behind him. No one will miss his presence.”

Mayor Adams awarded the symbolic key to Diddy just last September. He’s indicated that his office is reviewing the procedure for rescinding the honor. Mayor Adams also showed support for Ventura during a recent meeting.

The controversy began when a 2016 video aired on CNN depicting Diddy allegedly assaulting Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel.

In response, Diddy has issued an apology, labeling it one of the darkest periods of his life.

Diddy is still facing allegations of sex trafficking, with federal raids recently conducted at his Los Angeles and Miami residences. The Bad Boy Records founder has denied these allegations, and federal prosecutors are continuing their inquiries, interviewing several individuals cited in lawsuits against him.

Diddy has already had to step down as chairman of REVOLT, Harlem Prep and, most recently, a spokesperson for Peloton.

Politicians’ calls for his city key to be rescinded is the latest bad news for Diddy. On Tuesday (May 21), an ex-model filed a lawsuit against him, claiming he ruined her life in marriage after allegedly giving her a laced blunt and then forcing her to perform oral sex on him.

Mother Of Teenage Rapper Who Accidentally Killed Himself Speaks Out

Virginia resident Monica Savage and her family suffered a horrible tragedy.

Savage’s son, Raleigh “Rylo Huncho” Freeman III, fatally shot himself while recording a social media video on May 15. Suffolk Police Department officials believe the incident was an accident.

News outlets confirmed Raleigh Freeman as the 17-year-old aspiring rapper who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Monica Savage spoke to 13News Now about the teenager’s untimely passing.

“When I came in the house, and I seen my son in his blood… I ran across the street, and I almost got hit by a car for going across the street trying to save my son’s life,” Savage stated. She added, “I didn’t know he had a gun. I did not know he had that.”

Rylo Huncho reportedly began dancing with a gun in his hand on camera. Accounts claim he then pointed the firearm at his head and pulled the trigger before falling out of the frame.

Freeman was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Before his death, Rylo Huncho released singles such as “X’s and O’s,” “Money Getta,” “Bta” and “Getta’s.” A track titled “DOA” came out on May 12.

“He had some nice music on YouTube,” Monica Savage told 13News Now about Rylo Huncho. The grieving mother plans to lay her son to rest at a private funeral service on Friday (May 24).

Mastering the Blunt: A Step-by-Step Guide to Rolling Perfection

Mastering the Blunt: A Step-by-Step Guide to Rolling Perfection

Rolling the perfect blunt may be an artform, but it’s one that can be learned and perfected with a little practice. This guide provides all the knowledge and techniques you need to master this classic and beloved method of consumption.

Whether you’re a seasoned smoker or a newcomer, we’ve got the tips to elevate your blunt-rolling skills.

The Essence of a Blunt

A blunt is a cannabis cigar made by hollowing out a cigar, hemp wrap, or other type of wraps and filling it with ground cannabis flower. This method has roots in cigar culture and has become a staple in the cannabis community since the 1990s. Unlike joints, which use rolling papers and often have a joint filter, blunts are made with thicker wraps, providing a larger size and slower burn for a prolonged smoking session.

Types of Blunt Wraps

  1. Cigarillos (e.g., Swishers, Dutches): These machine-made mini cigars are popular for their accessibility and range of flavors. However, they contain tobacco, which can pose health risks.
  2. Backwoods-style Cigars: Known for their rustic appearance and bold flavor, these all-natural tobacco leaf cigars offer a unique smoking experience but can be tricky to work with.
  3. Tobacco Leaf Blunt Wraps: These provide a rich, robust flavor without the need to hollow out a cigar.
  4. Hemp Leaf Blunt Wraps: A tobacco-free alternative, hemp blunts offer a smooth, mellow smoking experience with various flavors.
  5. Banana Leaf Blunt Wraps: These wraps are environmentally friendly, providing a mild, sweet taste and a natural smoking experience.
  6. Flavored Blunt Wraps: Adding a burst of flavor, these wraps come in fruity, sweet, and savory options, enhancing the overall smoking experience.
  7. Pre-Rolled Blunt Tubes: For those who prefer convenience, pre-rolled blunt wraps make the preparation process quick and easy.

The Benefits of Smoking Blunts

Blunts offer a slower burn because of their wraps and a potent high due to their larger size, which allows for more cannabis. The wrap’s flavor profile also enhances the overall enjoyment, and the social aspect of sharing a blunt fosters connection and camaraderie.

Preparing Your Flower

Proper preparation of your cannabis flower is crucial for rolling the perfect blunt. Grind your flower to a medium-fine consistency, removing any stems or seeds. This ensures an even burn and smooth smoke. High-quality, fresh cannabis enhances the flavor and potency, making the rolling process easier.

Step-by-Step Rolling Guide

Prepare Your Space: Ensure a flat surface and have your equipment ready.

Prepare Your Wrap: Lay the wrap flat and smooth out any wrinkles.

Grind Your Flower: Use a grinder for a consistent particle size to prevent hot spots and gaps.

Fill Your Wrap: Evenly distribute the cannabis, leaving space at the ends.

Shape and Tuck: Form the cannabis into a cylinder with your fingers and thumb and roll the wrap tightly.

Seal the Blunt: Moisten the edge to seal, and press down along the seam.

Final Touches: Trim excess wrap and heat-seal the ends.

Tips and Tricks

  • Moisten Your Fingers: Use water to help create a tight seal.
  • Apply Even Pressure: Pack the cannabis evenly for a consistent burn.
  • Get Creative: Experiment with different techniques and flavors.
  • Practice Makes Perfect: Keep practicing to develop your rolling style.
  • Use High-Quality Ingredients: Invest in good wraps and fresh cannabis.

Avoiding Common Mistakes

Overpacking, tearing the wrap, and uneven cannabis distribution are common mistakes. Handle wraps gently, use patches for tears, and massage the blunt to redistribute contents evenly.

Roll Your Perfect Blunt

Mastering the art of rolling a perfect blunt can elevate your cannabis experience. With the right techniques and practice, you can roll blunts that enhance your smoking sessions.

So grab your favorite strain and pre rolled cones, and enjoy the process of rolling the perfect blunt.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett Launches “Bleach Blonde Bad Built Butch Body” Merchandise

U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett (Texas-30) made national news after the Democrat verbally sparred with Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (Georgia-14) in a congressional committee meeting.

Jasmine Crockett went viral for her “bleach-blonde, bad-built, butch-body” clapback directed at Marjorie Taylor Greene. According to reports, the Dallas-area politician looks to parlay that clash into cash for the Democratic party.

The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority member filed a trademark to use the B6 phrase on apparel. Crockett confirmed in a tweet that merchandise with “bleach blonde bad built butch body” will be available for purchase.

“So we are going to drop ‘A Crockett Clapback Collection.’ This collection will feature various swag that includes random things I’ve said. The money will go to ensuring that we have a Democratic House! Give me a little time to really get the swag online etc., but B6 will drop first,” Jasmine Crockett posted.

The televised showdown between Jasmine Crockett and Marjorie Taylor Greene included Greene ridiculing Crockett’s “fake eyelashes.” That comment led to Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (New York-14) also jumping into the heated conversation.

Ocasio-Cortez wanted Marjorie Taylor Greene’s attack on Crockett’s physical appearance stricken from the official record. The progressive politician complained that the far-right MAGA supporter’s remarks were “unacceptable” for a congressperson.

The hearing erupted as AOC and MTG exchanged more words. In addition, Jasmine Crockett later requested a rules clarification from Oversight Committee chairman, Republican Representative James Comer (Kentucky-1).

“If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach-blonde, bad-built, butch-body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?” Crockett asked as laughs broke out in the room.

Ari Fletcher Accuses Moneybagg Yo’s BM Of Five-Year Harassment Campaign

Ari Fletcher blasted the mother of one of boyfriend Moneybagg Yo’s children after some subliminal shade that stemmed from shirt slogans.

The drama began when the reality show star posted a selfie on her Instagram Story on Tuesday (May 21). She wore a shirt bearing the slogan: “His ex is my biggest fan.”

It appears one of the rapper’s baby mamas, who goes by Juicy Baby on social media, took offense and posted her own slogan shirt selfie. The message on her shirt read: “tell your boyfriend to stop calling me.”

Fletcher then took to X (formerly Twitter) with a mental health awareness month post, which also ruffled Juicy’s feathers.

“Only thing mental is your fake happy ass,” she penned on her IG Story. She also posted her favorite lyric, a line from Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla’s “Wanna Be,” writing, “He run back to me cause you boring a n####.”

Nonetheless, Ari Fletcher replied to Moneybagg Yo, blasting Juicy and accusing her of harassing them.

“Don’t say nobody,” she said. “Say your babymama. It’s been 5 years of stalking and harassment. This s### is SO beneath me.”

Fletcher continued, directing her comments at Juicy, urging her to prove her claims. “You on your page promoting fraud and getting child support,” she said. “You live in a f###### air bnb. Boosie Badazz is calling on President Joe Biden to expunge his marijuana charges after the Justice Department formally moved to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug.

The Baton Rouge native responded to a social media post from Biden announcing the history policy shift.

“This is monumental,” Biden said in a video statement posted to X (formerly Twitter). “It’s an important move toward reversing longstanding inequities.”

He added, “No one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana. Period. Far too many lives have been upended because of a failed approach to marijuana, and I’m committed to righting those wrongs. You have my word on it.”

Boosie caught wind of President Biden’s statement and requested that someone look into his past marijuana convictions.

“Well, I was [sentenced] to 10 years for third offense marijuana and these charges were grams. I did jail time for this so since you fixing laws, can you expunge this off my record. Also, I was never even offered rehab straight to prison for third offense marijuana. I was a user.”

Boosie then comically reminded President Biden who he was before repeating his request. “Oh and by the way this is Boosie,” he added. “Can you please expunge this off my record? Who do I need to call at the White House?”

In 2009, Boosie served five years behind bars in Louisiana for drug charges. He escaped jail time in 2019 after being hit with two felony charges. Georgia after cops found weed, a gun, and over $20,000 in cash during a traffic stop. He struck a plea deal and received months of probation and a $1,000 fine.

Cassie Ventura’s Friend Claims Diddy Hung Woman From Balcony After 2016 Hotel Assault

Cassie Ventura’s longtime friend Tiffany Red claims Diddy once hung a woman over a balcony.

In her bombshell lawsuit, Ventura alleged Diddy “picked up one of Ms. Ventura’s friends like a child” and dangled them over a 17th floor balcony. After the allegations hit the net, Wale was rumored to be the “friend” in question, but his management denied it.

Moreover, Red claims that it was not Wale, and it was in fact a female friend. While the songwriter did not name the woman Diddy allegedly hung over the balcony, she confirmed it was not her.

In a video posted to Instagram Tuesday (May 21), Red also alleged the balcony incident took place after Diddy’s brutal 2016 assault on Cassie Ventura that was captured on the recently released video.

“He’s not sorry,” she captioned the post which also included a photo of Ventura’s 2016 apartment block with the 17th floor highlighted.

Red’s claims come shortly after another of Ventura’s friends revealed she saw the singer “badly bruised.” Makeup artist Mylah Morales told Extra, “We were always scared of Puff, he’s a powerful person. We don’t know what would happen to us if we spoke out.”

Meanwhile, despite his recent apology which followed months of denials, Diddy’s legal woes continue to mount. Model Crystal McKinney claims he sexually assaulted her at a Men’s Fashion Week event in 2003.

Benzino Blasts Black People For Turning On Diddy: “Since When Do We Do That?”

Benzino is coming to Diddy’s defense, claiming the Feds are only investigating the Hip-Hop mogul to “embarrass” and “humiliate” a Black man.

On Tuesday (May 21), Benzino called out the lack of support for Diddy during an appearance on The Danza Project. He dismissed the Homeland Security raids of Diddy’s homes because they were based on “civil” lawsuits, not criminal charges.

“Since when have we given the law, the system, one of ours?” he questioned. “Since when? This man ain’t been charged with nothing criminally. Not one f###### thing. They done went in the man’s property with tanks and army men and National Guards, and he ain’t got charged with one criminal charge right now to date.”

Emphasizing that Diddy’s accusers are pursuing him through the civil courts and have not filed criminal charges, Benzino continued.

“They don’t got one f###### charge yet.” he said of law enforcement. “I’m more upset about how our own are ready just to give him, ‘Here, take him. Lock him up.’ Since when do we do that?”

L.A. District Attorney Comments On Statute Of Limitations

It is unclear if Benzino taped the interview before CNN released the disturbing surveillance footage of Diddy violently assaulting Cassie Ventura and his subsequent apology. The L.A. District Attorney’s Office confirmed charges cannot be brought in connection with this incident because it’s outside the statute of limitations.

Many of Diddy’s accusers, including Cassie Ventura, filed lawsuits under the Adult Survivors Act. The law permitted sexual abuse victims a one-year window to file civil action regardless of the statute of limitations. Diddy’s alleged victims are reportedly cooperating with federal investigators.

Benzino’s Diddy comments come just weeks after his daughter publicly disowned him shortly after he defended R. Kelly.

“I want nothing to do with anything my father has going on,” she wrote earlier this month. “I haven’t spoken to him in over a year and I don’t condone or respect any of them interviews he got going on.”

50 Cent Lands Netflix Deal For Series On Diddy’s Sexual Assault Allegations

50 Cent has revealed the documentary series he has been working on chronicling Diddy’s mounting, sexual assault allegations will air on Netflix.

On Tuesday (May 21), the G-Unit mogul shared a post on his Instagram to commemorate the moment, after reportedly going through a bidding war for the series. In doing so, 50 managed to shame celebrity media outlet TMZ, who also has released a series covering the allegations against Diddy.

In his initial remarks in the caption of the post it appears his frustration with the news platform centered around the press photo used in the article announcing the series found a home at Netflix.

“TMZ use this fat boy picture of me because their doc went to Tubi LOL,” 50 wrote in part. “It’s ok guys we’re all making good television mines just happens to be the best! NETFLIX wins the bidding war but if more victims keep coming out I’m gonna need more episodes.@bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”

50 Cent’s photo frustrations were short-lived though, as the outlet quickly reworked the composite by adding a more recent photo of the New York rapper.

“Ok, TMZ put up a 2024 picture baby, let’s work! LOL,” he wrote in a post featuring the new photo.

According to TMZ, the doc was produced via 50’s G-Unit Film and Television Studios and was reportedly sought after by multiple networks and all of the major streaming platforms. While there is no official word on the release date of the series, sources close to the deal have reportedly confirmed it will arrive on Netflix “sooner than later.”

50 Cent has been talking about the Diddy Do It? documentary since March. Following the raids of Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami homes, 50 expressed his desire to procure evidence of Diddy’s fabled about “freak off” parties to include in the series on social media.

“Smh this is gonna be so good, what you want to bet I’m a get these tapes. I’ll pay top dollar for them, you been over there? I don’t go to puffy party’s,” he said.

The announcement of 50 Cent’s deal with Netflix for the docuseries follows news of yet another lawsuit filed against Diddy. The disgraced rap mogul is accused by former model Crystal McKinney of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2003, when she was just 22.

With Erykah Badu & D-Smoke Co-Signs: AJ McQueen Is Hip-Hop’s Higher Ground

I met rapper AJ McQueen a few short years ago when he was a performer at a rap contest in Houston, Texas. At that time, I had no idea what he was dealing with in his personal life, but that was a pivotal moment for the St. Louis-born artist. He won that contest and I knew that I was bearing witness to something very special.

Today, the journey for AJ McQueen continues. We linked in Philadelphia for a rather serendipitous link-up. In this exclusive sit-down, he discussed his journey in the music industry, his mental health, and his upcoming tour. Soulful and intentional, he talks about his evolution and his place in the movement of Hip-Hop.

The “Sorry, Ma Was Distracted” tour starts on June 2nd in Houston and will feature his full band and background singers.

AllHipHop: So let’s talk a little bit. First of all, how you’ve been?

AJ McQueen: Been. Great. Honestly, last year was the worst, best year of my life. What I’m, it is easy to get on here to say I’ve been great leaving at that. But no, I’ve been great because you know, I mean sometimes you got to deconstruct and reconstruct, but I’ve been great. I’ve been supreme. I feel healthy. My mental health is clear. I, and I feel like that’s the proper answer. That’s what I’m working on answering these days when people ask me that, being more present with my answer. So I feel great because of a lot of other things. For sure.

AllHipHop: Yeah. So I met you in Houston and that was a great experience seeing you not only in the earlier beginnings of what you would eventually become, but also to see how you dealt with almost like a situation that was not optimal. And we were in the scorching heat. And I don’t know if Houston was ready for you.

AJ McQueen: You say? Man, I’m not going to say you off base. I don’t think you was off base. I think that I’ve referred back to my mother and my dad when I was younger, just being told that I’ve always been before my time. I mean, a lot of us heard that, but until you see those things starting to manifest, I think musically, creatively, I would definitely say that I’ve just always been before my time. But then being in a city like Houston, a city that’s really moving at their own pace. But I always saw the vision and through the grace of God, I definitely knew that I would be where I’m at now for sure. And I say that in the most, not cocky way, but definitely I call it God-confidence, you know what I mean? Definitely a God for that way. I knew I would be here and I’m still growing too for sure.

AllHipHop: One of my homeboys from Delaware sent me your music. We always exchange music. We didn’t talk about you. Nothing. He just sent me several songs and I was like, I just shot him back some pictures. Yeah, yeah, I know. I know this guy.

AJ McQueen: And like I say, for artists like myself, independent artists, artists that’s going against the grain and want to move with their own pace, people like yourself definitely want to give you flowers because the affirmation along the way means a lot to us for people that we respect. You know what I mean? In this field, you’ve been in this space for years. Definitely staple of Hip-Hop. So the affirmation years ago, that’s planted to where I’m at now. Now I’m able to tour the country under my own brand, Godbody Energy. I’m able to put my people in position, release the music I want, go to the spaces I want, and create strategic partnerships through it all. So I appreciate that. Shout out to your homie too that sent you to music

AllHipHop: How have you felt the people receiving your music? Because the way I look at it is it’s a vibration and it doesn’t really matter where you are or who you are.

AJ McQueen: I mean, it is beautiful because I make soul music. You know what I mean? I had somebody ask me that recently, how would you categorize music? And I was like, well, I wouldn’t necessarily categorize it at all. I mean it’s for the listener, how it resonates with your spirit. But what’s been the words of choice that people have been using is soul, soul, hip hop. I had somebody tell me the other day, they was like, man, you would’ve been one of the Soulquarians. So it’s beautiful in the Hip-Hop space.

I’m definitely an MC. I’m intentional with my lyrics and intentional with my words, but I also believe that there’s a godness with the music. I’m able to speak about my life and people able to see themselves in it from my songs about mental health, my songs about Black love, my songs about navigating the streets and evolving. And that’s really what my music represents, evolution. And I feel like anybody, no matter the age, the race, the creed, none of that evolution and growing I feel like hits us all. And that’s a space that I live in…

AllHipHop: Okay. Okay. Have you clicked up with anybody? When I think about the vibration, I think about other artists as well. Have you gotten any bonds with anyone?

AJ McQueen: Yeah, in the last year I’ve received co-signs from Erykah Badu, Talib Kweli, India.Arie, Ghostface. These people have DM’d me personally, reposted my music (and more). I just did a song, you’re the first person I’m sharing this with, but I got a joint with a D-Smoke.

AllHipHop: Yeah. I love D Smoke.

AJ McQueen: My music is soul. So what I love about it is I’m able to build with [anybody]. I can go from a D-Smoke to a Lauryn Hill, down to Damian Marley. Up to Anita Bake. I love Hip-Hop that way, but I can also rap with anybody else. So the D-smoke joint is definitely on the deluxe album of Sorry Ma, I Was Distracted. And I got a few surprises that I won’t give out until it’s clear, you know what saying.
