Chlöe Bailey Says Beyonce Made Her Feel Comfortable With A Plump Butt

Chlöe Bailey has addressed the criticism she has received over her embracing her sexuality.

The 23-year-old singer, half of the R&B duo Chlöe x Halle, received criticism by fans who claimed her image had become hyper-sexualized last year.

During a recent interview for In the Know by Yahoo, she was asked what it is like to face expectations around sexuality “in a sexually repressed society.”

“There has never been a point in time that a society has ever been comfortable with the woman being powerful in the skin that she’s in,” the Grammy Award-nominee stated. “So, I just have to give kudos to every woman who’s inspired me, every one of my peers right now who’s saying, ‘I love my body. I feel sexy.'”

Bailey likened her experience to that of Donna Summer, Kelis, Beyoncè, and Nina Simone.

“No matter what women do, no matter how talented we are, no matter how screwed on our head is, someone will always have a problem because we choose to celebrate our body and the skin that we’re in…but you shouldn’t dim your light, period,” she continued.

The “Have Mercy” star also related embracing her sexuality to her admiration for the Formation hitmaker, who has served as a mentor for her.

“I can honestly and genuinely say it was Beyoncé who made me look at my body and say maybe it is O.K. to have my body. Maybe it is O.K. to have a plump butt. Maybe it is O.K. to have to shake and jump to fit in my jeans,” Chlöe mused. “During the Bootylicious era, I would go and see her flaunting her curves and be like, ‘She looks damn good!'”

Jay-Z, Meek Mill, Big Sean & More Back Bill To Stop Use Of Rap Lyrics In Criminal Trials

Jay-Z and other celebrities are supporting a New York bill that aims to curb the usage of rap lyrics in criminal trials.

According to Rolling Stone, Jay-Z and several artists signed a letter asking lawmakers to pass the “Rap Music on Trial” bill. The legislation seeks to bolster free speech protections by making it more difficult for prosecutors to use lyrics as evidence in criminal trials.

The letter to New York lawmakers was signed by Meek Mill, Big Sean, Killer Mike, Kelly Rowland, Yo Gotti and Fat Joe, among others. Jay-Z’s lawyer Alex Spiro co-wrote it with Richmond professor Erik Nielson.

“This reform is urgently needed,” the letter reads. “Rather than acknowledge rap music as a form of artistic expression, police and prosecutors argue that the lyrics should be interpreted literally – in the words of one prosecutor, as ‘autobiographical journals’ – even though the genre is rooted in a long tradition of storytelling that privileges figurative language, is steeped in hyperbole, and employs all of the same poetic devices we find in more traditional works of poetry.”

New York state senators Brad Hoylman and Jamaal Bailey introduced the legislation in November 2021. Jay-Z and his fellow celebs hope their endorsements help the bill become a law.

“This is an issue that’s important to [Jay-Z] and all the other artists that have come together to try to bring about this change,” Spiro told Rolling Stone. “This is a long time coming. Mr. Carter is from New York, and if he can lend his name and his weight, that’s what he wants to do.”

Gian Pietro Beltrando Unique Crafts His Music

In blending together a wide range of instruments from a variety of families and styles, and genres, the orchestra became one of the most popular forms of music.

With such variety, however, there is always a danger for the theme of the music to get lost, or for the overall piece to sound dissonant. With proper orchestration and conducting, however, the harmonization and overall sound of an orchestral piece will be better than the sum of its parts. In more modern orchestras, even contemporary rock and pop music are often arranged into grander versions — wowing audiences looking for something different.

This act of building seemingly dissonant parts into a harmonious whole was a big inspiration for up-and-coming Italian musician Gian Pietro Beltrando. His style combines the fluid and eclectic range exemplified in contemporary music with some of the more romantic notes of the classical Italian tradition. Complementing this uniquely dynamic style are narrative themes of modern Gen-Z struggles with a unique Italian twist.

For his musical inspirations, Gian Pietro Beltrando cites a variety of global modern artists known for breaking the boundaries between music genres, including powerhouses like Taylor Swift and BTS. At the same time, Gian also draws from his experiences growing up and seeing the resurgence of Italian pop and pop-rock as well as the country’s long history of classical music to create a style that is truly unique.

Narratively speaking, Gian Pietro Beltrando’s song draws from his experiences in Piedmont as someone who balances full-time entrepreneurship with life as a self-managed musician. His lyrics cover a wide range of themes, ranging from words of love and romance that express a traditional Italian spirit to a sort of split cynicism/optimism that Gen-Z is known for.

In an industry that is constantly changing and innovating, Gian’s unique style and themes make him truly unique. After years of performing and recording as a self-managed artist in Piedmont, Gian now hopes to release his first full album on major streaming sites worldwide. At the same time, he remains open to collaborations with fellow artists and entrepreneurs. For more information, follow him on Facebook or Instagram at @g_b__7.

Chuck D Teams With PBS & BBC For ‘The Story Of Hip Hop’ Docuseries

Chuck D and his manager Lorrie Boula have developed a new documentary series about Hip Hop.

The Public Enemy frontman has teamed with PBS for a four-part series tentatively titled The Story of Hip Hop with Chuck D. The docuseries is a co-production with the BBC.

“The Hip Hop community has, from the start, been doing what the rest of media is only now catching up to,” the legendary rapper said in a statement. “Long before any conglomerate realized it was time to wake up, Hip Hop had been speaking out and telling truths.”

Chuck D added, “Working with PBS and BBC is an opportunity to deliver these messages through new ways and help explain Hip Hop’s place in history and hopefully inspire us all to take it further.”

According to Deadline, the four-part documentary will feature interviews with LL Cool J, Queen Latifah and Run-DMC. No release date has been announced for the series.

“PBS is excited to join with Chuck D, Lorrie Boula and BBC Studios to bring this illuminating project to audiences across our platforms,” PBS Vice President of Multiplatform Programming and Head of Development Bill Gardner said. “Hip Hop is one of the most influential artistic genres and cultural movements of our time, and we’re thrilled to tell a deep and unflinching story with one of its originators and most powerful voices.”

Giuliana Cabrazia – Music is Life Itself

Giuliana Cabrazia feels that music goes beyond a universal language and attains the status of life itself. Music transcends cultures, demographics, and generations. It is an integral part of world history that has existed since the dawn of time, and some of humanity’s greatest achievements are musical in nature. For these reasons, Giuliana considers music to be a living entity.

After all, a human heartbeat is frequently compared to a drum. They both perform a rhythmic thumping that resonates through the body and can self-adjust to different tempos. The beat can be rather slow, very fast, or somewhere in between at a consistent rate. When carefully analyzed, heartbeats do share near-identical traits with some epic drum performances.

Music is composed of techniques, as is the human body. A complex number of systems work together to create a unified whole. Giuliana Cabrazia points out that the same principle applies to music as what seems like even a simple piece consists of notes, rhythms, chords, and transitions. One element supports the other, and this is among the basic concepts of life itself. It even goes back to the ancient four elements of earth, water, air, and fire existing in perfect harmony.

Finally, music is a part of our emotional lives and experiences. It celebrates happiness with us, soothes us during our darkest times, stirs our anger, and helps to express feelings of love. Music is played at weddings, funerals, birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. It is a natural part of the human experience. And music makes movies! Countless people agree that classics like Jaws or Star Wars would not be the same without their universally recognized themes.

For these reasons, Giuliana Cabrazia deems music, not art or humanity, but life itself. It moves, changes, expresses emotions, and speaks. In essence, music is akin to the human condition. This concept has been in place long before the concept of speech, as music tells our stories without saying a word.

Music is a Universal Language per Jen Blanco

Jen Blanco understands why music plays a big part in life’s most meaningful events. Birthdays, weddings, funerals, dances, coming-of-age moments, and holidays all prominently feature music. The reason is simple: music touches our souls and transfers emotions from one person to another. This can be from the artist to the listener or serve as a medium that generates an emotional tone from one person to another.

At a wedding, a couple’s first dance is usually set to a song that is personal to them. They share their story with everyone in attendance at that moment. An artist might have strong views about a socio-political issue and use their music to communicate their thoughts and feelings about this issue. And let’s not overlook those sad, brooding songs that get us through life’s inevitable heartbreaks.

Another powerful feature of the music is that in its very nature, it is universal. It appeals to all ages, cultures, and demographics. Older generations marvel when younger ones enjoy the same music they did, and youths can take equal pleasure in sharing their music of choice with those who are older. After all, part of being human is sharing experiences.

Classical music is considered a significant contribution to human history and nothing less than a superb art form. Beethoven gives us an aura of tragic romance while Vivaldi captures the changing of the seasons, and Chopin was a master of elegance. These composers spoke volumes without a single word. Today’s musicians master rhythm and lyrics to tell a more specific story, but one that also has an emotional impact.

Perhaps the most potent form of music is enjoying it live. Jen Blanco adores the energy one feels at a concert when people from all walks of life have gathered for the common purpose of watching an artist perform on stage. The energy is as undeniable as it is infectious and creates amazing memories. Everyone, there is connected at that moment, and Jen Blanco calls that a beautiful thing.

No matter what your preferred genre, music connects us as it speaks to our souls and guides us through the wild ride that is life. Jen Blanco cannot fathom a world without music, and fortunately, we will likely never know what kind of void that would create for humanity.

Ava Bamby on the Therapeutic Power of Music

Ace musician Ava Bamby feels that music is nothing less than audio therapy. Music is more than a universal language—it can be a stellar stressbuster! Here are some fun facts about the therapeutic power of music and how it can benefit nearly anyone who needs to take a minute away from a hectic day.

Ava Bamby switched up her daily routine to be in a positive state of mind immediately upon waking. Years ago, she replaced an alarm clock that jolted him out of sleep with a shrill electronic shriek to something much more pleasant. Now, a smart-home device has replaced the obnoxious alarm clock, and Ava Bamby is woken by the strains of beautiful classical music. It puts her in a more positive mindset immediately and sets a great tone (pardon the pun) for the rest of her day. The only drawback is that the alarm sometimes has an opposite effect as it nearly lulls her back to sleep.

On that note, music can create a greater sense of calm, reduce anxiety, help battle depression, and improve one’s outlook. It can walk us through almost any circumstance, even the most difficult moments of our lives. And best of all, it’s free. While there are subscription services like Spotify out there, many offer free options and one can find a giant selection of music videos on sites like YouTube. Ava Bambyfirmly believes that everyone should have music in their lives, and modern technology has made this possible.

Music impacts the mind, soul, and body. It can soothe us, guide us, speak to us, and be an invaluable inspiration. Above all, it can bring us joy. No matter what genre you prefer, this mix of enticing lyrics, sounds, and rhythm is a natural part of the human experience. Because of this, it is an ultimate stressbuster. Whether you take a deep breath while relaxing to the romantic intoxication of Beethoven or need to blow off steam while blaring some hard rock, Ava Bamby firmly believes that music will always be there for us.

Dylan Carbone, Rising R&B Pop Artist, Is Here to Stay

Countless musicians have shared stories of love and passion for music since childhood. One excellent example is Dylan Carbone, an artist who’s currently making a lot of noise in Latin, R&B, and pop music. The Latin music industry has some stiff competition, but Dylan is never discouraged and vows to stay in the music business for good.

With over two decades of experience to his name, Dylan has been groomed to be the next big thing in Latin music. The half Mexican, half Italian musician started singing and dancing when he was only nine and learned to write songs later on. Dylan has worked with some big names in the industry like Nicky Jams, J Romero, and more. Dylan performs four to five times a week at Disneyland and has appeared on popular TV shows in Mexico.

One of Dylan’s earliest challenges in the business was not having anybody to manage his career. He used this unfortunate experience as motivation to build an entertainment company to help young artists navigate their way in the harsh music industry. Dylan has proven that nothing is impossible for someone who is passionate, which is reflected in his millions of streams on Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music.

Dylan’s advice to anyone who wants to succeed at anything they put their mind to is to stay persistent and continue to strive to level up. He has many goals to tick off his list, like winning a Grammy, collaborating with more music superstars, and having a multi-million-dollar catalog. You can check out Dylan’s YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook to learn why thousands of people have their ears glued to his music.

Grammy Awards Rescheduled For April In Las Vegas

The Grammy Awards are heading to Las Vegas.

Two weeks after the event was postponed, the Recording Academy announced a new date and location for the show. The 2022 Grammy Awards will now take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 3.

The 2022 Grammy Awards were originally going to be staged at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on January 31. A spike in COVID-19 cases forced the Recording Academy to alter its plans.

Mason continued, “We are humbled by their generosity and grateful for their unwavering commitment to the Grammy Awards and the Academy’s mission. We appreciate the leadership CBS and our production partners at Fulwell 73 have shown during these challenging weeks and the flexibility of everyone who worked toward this solution.”

The rescheduling has bumped the CMT Music Awards, which were booked for April 3, to a later date. Both ceremonies will air on CBS and stream via Paramount Plus.

Trevor Noah is still on board as the 2022 Grammy Awards host. The comedian will be hosting the first Grammys not held in New York or Los Angeles since 1973.

Source Close to Kim Kardashian Speaks On Kanye West’s Visiting Rights With His Kids

After Kanye West alleged he was not allowed to attend his daughter Chicago’s birthday party, Kim Kardashian is finally speaking out. The couple is undergoing a divorce and setting up their lives post-marriage, and she believes she has the right to set up healthy boundaries.

According to sources close to the Kardashian family said that Kanye’s biggest issue is not the party, but is that he cannot come and go to Kim and the kid’s home as he pleases. The new rules are problematic for him as he believes he is in total control of his destiny.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUf4o5ixMCc

The person said to The Sun, “Kanye has never been allowed free access to the house since they split – that’s always been very clear and agreed upon verbally.”

“He can’t just walk in there,” the source continued. “He signed over the house to her and she paid him money for it. No one is just entitled to walk in. He’s now choosing to make it a public battle – and again involve the kids.”

Kanye has made claims that Kim has gotten her security to stop him from seeing the kids.

During an interview with Hollywood Unlock, Ye said that Kim never talked to him about restrictions when he visited and that he thought he could go throughout the house as he pleased until the couple’s oldest child North told him something different.

He said on the show, “I was like, I am the richest Black man and North’s father, right, and the security was able to stop me from going into the room with my daughter, and that had not been defined. And I am hearing that the new boyfriend [Peter Davidson] is actually in the house that I can’t even go to.”

“Security ain’t going to be in between me and my children, and my children ain’t going to be on TikTok without my permission,” Kanye added, making sure his concerns were clear.

A source said to People Magazine that Kim’s security has never stopped him from seeing his kids, “picking them up or dropping them off.”

The person said, “He just can no longer walk inside her home without her permission … [Kim] has a right to privacy and is trying to set healthy boundaries.”

Kim, according to the insider, “only wants to protect her children and ensure they have a great relationship with both parents” now that they are separated.

Kanye did get to come to the party. Rapper Travis Scott, Kylie Jenner’s baby father, gave him the address.

Prince’s Estate Worth Hundreds Of Millions After Valuation Battle

The estate of late music icon Prince has been valued at $156.4 million following a lengthy legal battle.

The “Purple Rain” hitmaker passed away in 2016 without a will, and after almost six years of assessments, all parties involved with the singer’s estate have finally agreed on its value.

The estate’s administrator, Comerica Bank & Trust, originally valued it at $82.3 million, but officials at America’s tax agency, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), countered that its value was $163.2 million.

The agreement has been cleared by Prince’s heirs, meaning the process of redistributing the estate could begin as early as next month.

“It has been a long six years,” said L. Londell McMillan, lawyer for the three heirs, in the Carver County District Court in Minnesota on Friday.

The estate will be split between three of Prince’s siblings as well as the publishing company Primary Wave, who bought out the other three heirs last year.

The three siblings have faced a long legal battle to have the estate’s value settled and redistributed, with the dispute reported to have cost millions in legal fees.

The paperwork declaring the agreement between Comerica and the IRS shows that the heirs were eager to settle, according to Variety.

Prince passed away in April 2016 at the age of 57 due to an accidental fentanyl overdose.

Lil Gnar Declares Future Is Better Than 2Pac

Back in 2018, Lil Xan learned the hard way not to disparage the late Tupac Shakur. It appears another “Lil” rapper, known as Lil Gnar, decided to share an unsolicited take about the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer too.

Lil Xan faced widespread backlash, including pushback from Atlanta-bred artists Waka Flocka Flame and T.I., for saying 2Pac made boring music. Those comments essentially halted Xan’s career, and he was never able to completely recover.

Fellow Atlanta representative Caleb “Lil Gnar” Sheppard has now placed himself in the hot seat by comparing the legendary Tupac Shakur to a 2010s-era rap star from the same city. On January 14, Gnar tweeted, “Future better den Tupac easy.”

https://twitter.com/lilgnar/status/1482085845054152704?s=20

Lil Gnar’s Twitter post ignited a firestorm of debates in the replies and quote-tweets. Some people pointed out that 2Pac has sold more albums and is considered more lyrical than Future. Other people suggested the generational divide between Pac and Future is too great to compare.

Future actually has a tribute song titled “2Pac” which lives on the critically-acclaimed Monster mixtape. That Nard & B-produced track includes Future saying, “Got bandana ’round my head like I’m 2Pac.” Future also raps, “Got a bandana ’round my head, screaming, ‘Thug life.'”

As far as Lil Gnar, the skateboarder-turned-rapper is best known for singles such as “Death Note,” “Diamond Choker” featuring Lil Uzi Vert, and “Missles” featuring Trippie Redd. Plus, Lil Gnar dropped GNAR Lif3 and Fire Hazard via 10K Projects.

Cardi B Teases Getting A Face Tattoo Of Newborn Son’s Name

Belcalis “Cardi B” Almánzar and Kiari “Offset” Cephus welcomed their first son together on September 4, 2021. The celebrity couple has yet to disclose the baby’s name, but Cardi B may announce it to the world in an untypical way.

The “Up” hitmaker took to Twitter to tell her followers about possible new body ink coming in the future. Cardi B is supposedly considering adding a new tat in celebration of her newborn.

“Random but… I’m 1% close [to] tatting my [son’s] name on my face… I really really wanna do it!” tweeted Cardi B on January 17. That tweet has collected more than 2,000 retweets and 39,000 likes.

One of Cardi B’s fans shared her interest in getting a face tattoo by potentially adding words behind their ear. The 29-year-old Grammy winner responded, “I want mine on my jaw.”

Cardi B and Offset are also parents to three-year-old Kulture Kiari Cephus. Set already has Kulture’s name tattooed on his jaw. The Migos member inked his other three children’s names on his body as well.

The public first officially learned about Cardi B’s second pregnancy in June during the 2021 BET Awards. She revealed her baby bump while performing “Type S###” with Offset, Takeoff, and Quavo of the Migos.
