New Tupac Doc Looks At Unseen Pictures To Tell Untold Stories About His Life

Another documentary on the life of rapper Tupac Shakur is set to debut in July as part of a six-part BBC docu-series called “A Life in 10 Pictures.”

The show aims to unlock “the stories of extraordinary lives, whose images are known around the world, with revealing insight from just ten pictures — from iconic shots to private snaps.”

The photographers of the pictures in “A Life in 10 Pictures” discuss what they saw behind the lens and the environment in which they were snapped.

One person holding an old picture of Tupac rapping on the mic in front of a group of kids on a stoop said, “He was a true live performer.”

Another person added, “He was feared. He was loved. He really connected with people.”

As she unpacked an image from Tupac in high school, a teacher explained he would rap, and her jaw would “drop to the floor.”

In another promo pic for what seems to be an “All-American student,” she says, “I think what you see in this picture is definitely not what his reality was.”

As the 1:43 sizzle reel culminates, one of the most powerful statements ever about a rapper is uttered: “Some artists are famous for their music, and some are famous for what they stand for and who they are.”

Tupac, as fans all know, was a combination of the two.

The “A Life in 10 Pictures” series includes Freddie Mercury, actress Elizabeth Taylor, boxer Muhammad Ali, musician/activist John Lennon, and singer Amy Winehouse.

Tupac’s episode airs on Friday, July 1st, on the Crackle streaming service.

Grime Rapper Sami Switch Must Pay Ed Sheeran Millions In Legal Bills After Losing “Shape of You” Fight

Ed Sheeran and his co-writers have been awarded more than $1 million in legal costs following their victory in their “Shape of You” copyright case.

The singer and his co-writers Steven McCutcheon and Johnny McDaid were accused of copying the 2015 song “Oh Why” by grime artist Sami Chokri, also known as Sami Switch, with the “Oh I” phrase in their 2017 chart-topping single.

Following an 11-day trial in March, Judge Antony Zacaroli from London’s High Court ruled that Sheeran had “neither deliberately nor subconsciously copied” Sami Switch’s song, written by Sami Switch and Ross O’Donoghue.

After the verdict, the lawyers for Sami Switch and O’Donoghue argued that Sheeran and his co-writers should pay their own legal costs, alleging they had failed to provide documents and demonstrated “awkwardness and opacity.”

However, Judge Zacaroli rejected their argument on Tuesday and ruled that Sami Switch and O’Donoghue should pay the costs. He ordered an interim payment of $1.1 million.

“I consider it is appropriate that the claimants’ success is reflected in an order that their costs are paid by the defendants, without reduction save for that which is made as part of the process of detailed assessment,” Zacaroli said, reports BBC News.

A further hearing is expected to assess and finalize the sums.

Following the verdict in April, Sheeran said in an Instagram video, “I hope with this ruling, it means in the future baseless claims like this can be avoided. This really does have to end… Hopefully, we can all get back to writing songs rather than having to prove that we can write them.”

Kanye West And Kim Kardashian Going Back To Court As Divorce War Continues

Rapper Kanye West is still not complying with his former wife Kim Kardashian’s desire for a sew-up every issue in their divorce, despite a judge ruling that the two be considered single.

Because of his tactics, the two are set to go to trial for stuff connected to the custody of their children after the official disintegration of the Kardashian-West marriage.

The Sun reports that while the court date is soon approaching, the two have opted to continue co-parenting with a friendly face.

This weekend the two supported their daughter North West at her basketball game, not only arriving together in the same vehicle but leaving together as a family.

Still, the tabloid states that the parents of four lovely children, North (9); Saint (6); Chicago (4); and Psalm (3), have not agreed on custody agreements.

As reported by AllHipHop.com, a judge granted Kardashian’s request to be declared legally single on Wednesday (March 2nd). Now single, her woes surround the children, and the matters are not settled.

Court documents show that a trial-setting conference is scheduled for Friday, August 5th. Before this day, the couple and their lawyers will be talking to sort out everyone’s concerns about how the children will spend their time.

The two also have to have a Family-Centered Case Resolution Conference, which should occur earlier.

The FCCR will allow them to “meet and confer” about the needs of the children.

According to California Rules of Court, the purpose of it is to establish “processes and procedures for courts to manage cases from initial filing to final disposition in an effective and timely manner” and “intended to advance the goals” of the state’s Family Codes and Standards.

Irv Gotti Expresses Concern Over Drake’s ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ Not Being Hip Hop

Irv Gotti is another addition to the list of people that do not appear to be fans of Drake’s latest studio LP. Honestly, Nevermind dropped last Friday to mixed reviews as some listeners took issue with the project’s Dance music concept.

TMZ caught up with Irv Gotti to get his opinion on the polarizing Honestly, Nevermind. The co-founder of Murder Inc. Records did not hold back while sharing his thoughts on the Drake project.

“Personally, I love Drake. I think Drake is a great person, he’s a great human being,” offered Gotti. The New York City native added, “But I listened to his album – and Drake can do whatever he wants as an artist… Drake’s new album is not Hip Hop.”

When asked if the end of traditional Hip Hop and R&B is on the horizon, Irv Gotti responded, “I hope not. That’s the demise of rap, the demise of Hip Hop. As long as I’m alive there will never be the demise of Hip Hop. I gotta get back in the game and find me a n#### then. That’s what [Honestly, Nevermind] made me feel like.”

Irv Gotti Says Honestly, Nevermind Makes Him Think There Needs To Be Another Powerful/Strong Emcee

Irv Gotti went on to say Drake’s seventh studio LP made him feel like he needs to discover a new DMX, Ja Rule, or Jay-Z. The 51-year-old industry veteran also seemingly expressed concern that Drizzy’s change in sound could impact the future of Hip Hop music as a whole.

“[Drake] is so strong and so powerful he can change the dynamics of s###,” said Gotti. The Tales creator added, “He’s too powerful and too strong, and it made me feel like we need another n#### that’s as powerful and strong that’s gonna stay with this thing called Hip Hop.”

As the leader of Murder Inc., Irv Gotti oversaw the release of hit songs by Ja Rule (“Always on Time,” “Mesmerize”), Ashanti (“Foolish,” “Rain on Me”), Lloyd (“You,” “Lay It Down”), and other acts. At the height of the label’s run in the early 2000s, some critics took issue with Murder Inc.’s melding of Hip Hop, R&B, and Pop.

Logic also added, “I’m like, ‘Is that how you talk to your mom?’ When your mom gives you breakfast, “Yeah, Mom…” Who does that? So, I think for me, that’s something that I wanted to do. Kim Kardashian “Consulted With A Few Therapists” Before Introducing Pete Davidson To Her Kids

The couple, who share four children, then went through a very public separation though both parents eventually moved on and explored new relationships. Ye dated actress Julia Fox before moving on with model Chaney Jones.

When Kim Kardashian began dating comedian Pete Davidson, Kanye voiced opposition to their new relationship on social media. His rants about Kim and Pete, among other posts, eventually got him a temporary suspension from Instagram for violating the terms of service.

Now, the reality TV mogul has opened up about dating the former SNL star, detailing how she made the decision to introduce him to her children in a recent interview on the Today Show. According to Kim Kardashian, it’s not a decision she took lightly. In fact, she sought advice from several loved ones and even consulted a therapist.

Kim Kardashian Waited 6 Months To Make The Introduction

“Luckily I have a sister who’s been through it all and we talked about it,” she explained. “I’ve consulted with a few therapists and friends that have been through it.”

Kim Kardashian continued and revealed she didn’t want to rush into anything. “I definitely wanted to wait six months. That was the marker,” she said. However, she acknowledged that “it’s different for everyone,” adding that “different things work for different people.”

She continued, “You just have to do what feels right and try to just be as respectful and cautious as possible.”
