Erykah Badu has called on JAY-Z after once again after she was caught ina Beyhive frenzy based on her recent social media post.
On Wednesday (March 20), Badu took to Twitter (X) with a call-to-action directed at HOV to step in and curtail the backlash she began receiving from Bey’s fans following her Instagram Story post. The aforementioned Story causing the discourse was simply a repost of the “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” singer’s cover artwork for her upcoming Cowboy Carter album, which Badu captioned “Hmmm.”
Fairly quickly, fans assumed she was taking issue with Beyoncé’s stylistic choice, in opting for the braided bangs with beads look, which has become a signature hairstyle for for the Badu over the years. As a result, the conversation spilled over to Twitter, and fans didn’t hold back.
”Mind you…. But ima let Erykah cook,” a Twitter user wrote in a tweet featuring stars such a Stevie Wonder with similar hairstyles.

Another X user added, “Erykah Badu been wanting to pick a fight with Beyoncé since last year, like girl what tf you mad for ?!”

After Badu’s mentions began taking a beating, she began trending on the platform. She was the focal point of more than 4,000 tweets, which prompted her to reach out for help.
“To Jay Z,” she wrote. “Say somethin Jay. You gone let this woman and these bees do this to mee??” Badu wrote in the tweet accompanied by a video meme from The Maury Povich Show.

This isn’t the first time Erykah Badu has found herself within the crosshairs the Beyhive. Last August, Badu called Beyoncé out for allegedly biting her style for the RENAISSANCE TOUR.
Megan Fox defended drinking the blood of Machine Gun Kelly during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast. Fox addressed her consumption of MGK’s blood while discussing the wildest rumors she’s faced over the years.
“I guess one of the ones that’s very persistent is that I’m Satanic, or do Satanic rituals, or maybe adjacent to Illuminati, or something in that vein,” she said. “Which I think really started—I don’t know why it started, there was just that one time I said I drink blood ritualistically, and then everybody was like, ‘Wow, she’s into Satanic rituals.’ But that was a very misunderstood thing.”
According to Fox, the general public incorrectly believed she was drinking a cup of MGK’s blood when it was something much more benign. She understood why people thought it was strange but questioned why it was seen as disturbing or Satanic.
“Everything is a matter of what you’re accustomed to or what is currently socially acceptable or normal,” she said. “And back in like the ‘50s even, how many times did you see like … little boys would go out with their little pop guns and they would cut their fingers and be blood brothers, right? And they’re like, ‘We’re best friends forever now.’ And they would smush the blood together on their fingers. That’s not Satanic, right? That’s normal and that’s cute … It’s like that except instead of rubbing your fingers together, the drop of blood goes in your mouth. And I don’t know why that becomes Satanic.”
She continued, “I understand people think are like, ‘Hey, that’s weird.’ But guess what I think is weird? I think it’s weird that girls are out here letting guys c## in their mouth and they don’t know these guys … F### you. You’re so offended that I got a drop of Machine Gun Kelly’s blood in my mouth … What is so gross about what I did with my soulmate?”
Fox revealed her and MGK’s bloody bond in a 2022 interview with Glamour UK. She referred to him as her “twin soul” on the Call Her Daddy podcast but refused to comment on the current status of their relationship.
Dr. Dre had to remind Snoop Dogg of the humble and not-so-ideal origins of arguably their biggest collaborative hit—while they were on late-night TV.
During their recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Dr. Dre was joined by 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre took a walk down memory lane and ended up talking about The Chronic in the midst of their stroll. While remarking on their creative process, Dr. Dre actually had to break down how he recorded their seminal hit, “Nuthin But A ‘G’ Thang,” because Snoop forgot entirely.
The tender exchange was kicked off after Kimmel asked, “So you recorded the demo over the phone from jail,” to which Snoop affirmatively replied “No, no, no, no, no!”
At this point, Dre interjected, “Snoop doesn’t remember that, but that happened.”
”What I do,” Snoop replied seemingly confused before Dre followed up with, “I remember you being in jail, you know I’ve told you this story before. Of course he doesn’t remember.”
Though Snoop Dogg says he does remember calling Dre from jail during that time period, he wasn’t able to fill in the details, but luckily his multi-platinum producer partner-in-crime handled that for him.
”I taped the f###ing headphone to the mic,” Dre said, which prompted Snoop’s reply, “Did I spit it? DAMN!” Check out the full interview below and watch the clip above.
City Girls member JT lashed out at a fan who trolled her over her upcoming solo tour on Wednesday (March 20). The fan joked about JT only having three songs to perform at concerts, which elicited a forceful response from the rapper.
“Yall go see b###### with no songs pour liquor down they throat but yall draw the line with my great music?” she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “Go sit your goofy ass down be trying to be so different matter fact come work the door!”
The fan claimed she was just “playing” and planned to attend the show, but she decided to sell the tickets due to JT’s reaction. The Quality Control Music artist offered to buy the tickets before unleashing a barrage of insults.
“B#### yes I’ll buy them & give them away idgaf about you shady ass b#### find a toy!” she wrote. “I’m not one! Be trying to shade ppl who actually wanna do s### with they life your WACK! give me them ticket now fonky fingers!”
JT wasn’t done as she targeted another X user who commented on the fan interaction.
“Nobody GAF how you feel you run nothing,” she wrote. “You saying I responded when my name wasn’t mentioned & here you are doing the same hypocrite stay in you cubical! Jealous, envious, t### coochie girl.”
JT’s tour is scheduled to begin in Houston on March 23. It will conclude in Kansas City on April 27. Her run of shows features multiple bookings in her home state of Florida, including two dates in Miami.
The multi-platinum-selling rapper was hitting the road after dropping a new solo single titled “Sideways” in February. Last year, she teased a 2024 release for her first solo EP.
Meek Mill came up with an idea to help his hometown of Philadelphia on Wednesday (March 20). The outspoken rapper wanted to sign a contract with the city, which would receive 10 percent of his music-related earnings for efforts to reduce gun violence in Philly.
“Ima do a public contract with the city of Philadelphia where 10% of my music earnings go to the city of Philadelphia to combat gun violence in our city,” he wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “ima start this movement! PIP PHAT GEEZ. I wanna do in contract the city of Philadelphia!”
He added, “Ain’t nothing stopping me from talking the way I rap…. Too many of my friends got killed already!”
Meek made the offer days after Philly rapper Phat Geez was shot and killed in the city. Meek reacted to the 28-year-old artist’s death on Sunday (March 17).
“Rip phat geez,” he wrote on X. “Philly is a terrible place for black people to live… you see too much death!!!! Smh.”
Meek said something needed to be done about the gun violence In Philadelphia.
“If Phat really got killed in the holy month of Ramadan while fasting…. I think it’s time we fully break the streets up in Philly!” he wrote on Instagram Stories. “A lot of dummies with guns!”
Meek bemoaned the gun violence in Philly, yet he taunted supposed haters in his hometown less than two hours after proposing his deal with the city.
“It’s many groups in Philly hating on me now we hate them!” he wrote on Wednesday. “F### em we ain’t got no fear lol that’s why they on the net crying about me going to the studio 10,000 nights straight … these type are ‘parasite n#####.’”
Meek relentlessly posted on social media over the past few weeks despite fans urging him to stop. He refused to listen, repeatedly saying whatever was on his mind.
So, there wasn’t too much fanfare surrounding Lil Nas X‘s recent half marathon, but the young rapper did indeed participate in the New York City half marathon recently, and it created quite a buzz among the city’s running community. Since he wasn’t discussing Christianity or anything devil-related, most people didn’t even bother to take notice.
I’ve been mulling this over for a few days now (the race was over the weekend), and I was struck with amazement. This guy is one of the biggest rap stars in the game, yet hardly anyone seems to care about this achievement. Well, after some investigation, I unearthed some intriguing facts about Lil Nas X’s run. Firstly, he ran in old-school high-top sneakers (Coach to be exact), which many considered quite eccentric – and I’m inclined to agree. But, word on the street is he paid for not running all those miles in running sneakers. He ended up in a wheelchair after!
Additionally, he sported a silky, possibly velvet do-rag while running – now, that’s hilarious. Another noteworthy detail is that he proudly received a medal at the end, showing genuine excitement, as per sources I trust.
Now, some of you might be curious about his outing. Well, I’ve got the scoop on that too! He completed the half marathon in an impressive two hours, thirty-two minutes, and fifty-three seconds. He crossed the finish line at 10:03 AM. Congratulations are certainly in order, because he did not train at all.
In a tale straight out of science fiction, Dr. Joseph Dituri made headlines after embarking on a groundbreaking underwater journey that he claims reversed his aging process.
The daring scientist plunged into the depths of a Florida lagoon, spending a staggering 100 days submerged beneath the waves in a high-pressure habitat. But this was no mere aquatic adventure. In fact, Dr. Dituri was on a mission to unlock the secrets of longevity and explore the potential of hyperbaric environments to rejuvenate the human body.
As Dr. Dituri delved into the murky depths, he not only conducted groundbreaking research but also stumbled upon a “brand new species,” adding an unexpected twist to his underwater odyssey. In his aquatic abode, a cramped 9m x 9m room accessible only by scuba diving, the intrepid scientist meticulously monitored his body’s response to the extreme pressure, all while juggling virtual teaching sessions with eager schoolchildren.
But the true revelation came when Dr. Dituri resurfaced from his aquatic sojourn, claiming his body had undergone a remarkable transformation. According to blood tests, the 56-year-old scientist boasted a 50 percent reduction in inflammatory markers, effectively shedding years off his biological age. In a jaw-dropping revelation to reporters, Dr. Dituri unveiled the astonishing results.
“I’m 56 now and my extrinsic [biological] age was 44,” Dr. Dituri told an Orlando news outlet. “When I got out of the water, my extrinsic age was 34. So, my telomeres lengthened. I actually got younger when I was under the water.”
Despite skeptics casting doubt on his claims, Dr. Dituri remains steadfast in his belief that the hyperbaric environment played a pivotal role in his alleged age reversal. Check out the proof the man says justify his claims above.

Quavo and his Rocket Foundation launched a program in memory of the late Takeoff on Wednesday (March 20). The Sparks Grants program will award $10,000 each to 10 organizations working to prevent and reduce gun violence in Metro Atlanta.
“I am honored to launch this grant program to honor Take and the countless families that have been affected by gun violence,” Quavo said. “The Rocket Foundation will be giving out $100K in SPARK grants to local orgs dedicated to reducing community violence in Atlanta. There is a lot of important work going on in ATL right now, and part of our mission is to uplift these organizations and support them to help save more lives.”
Organizations must be registered nonprofits or fiscally sponsored by one to be eligible for the micro-grants. The Rocket Foundation also required organizations to submit an existing or planned initiative focused on the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.
Grant applications are open now on the Rocket Foundation website. The deadline for submissions is April 21.
Quavo’s nonprofit will select nine winners with the 10th organization chosen by the public. The final award will be decided through a vote on the Rocket Foundation website. The recipients will be announced on Takeoff’s birthday (June 18).
Takeoff was shot and killed outside a Houston bowling alley in November 2022. He was 28.
Police arrested Patrick Xavier Clark for Takeoff’s murder in December 2022. Clark was released on a $1 million bond in January 2023. A grand jury indicted him for murder in May 2023.
Clark maintains his innocence. His attorney Letitia Quinones-Hollins didn’t believe prosecutors could prove her client killed the Migos rapper.
“We do believe that he has a valid self-defense claim,” Clark’s lawyer told Rolling Stone. “I don’t think they can say with any degree of certainty that it was Patrick who actually fired the shot that took TakeOff’s life.”
She added, “There was someone else who started the shooting, it was not Patrick Clark. He was in the same position that Takeoff was in, he was trying to get out of there alive as well.”
Clark awaits trial. His attorney anticipated his trial starting in the second half of 2024, at the earliest.
Azealia Banks has rebuked Beyoncé’s pivot to country music. Banks recently ranted about Beyoncé, Jay-Z and the upcoming albumCowboy Carter in a string of Instagram Stories posts.
“Wow we didn’t even try to put even a little effort into a more artistic title?” Banks wrote. “Sis I live for whiteyonce Donatella Bianca Bardot DOWN, But I’m kind of ashamed at how u switch from baobab trees and black parade to this literal pick me stuff. Like u do lame stuff like bring out some black listed white women (Dixie chicks) at the country music awards and they would never ever do the same for you. Ur always sharing ur platform with white women who are so jealous of you but have such a long history of sabotaging other black womens careers.”
Banks said Beyoncé missed an opportunity to make “pertinent cultural commentary” in favor of doing “white woman cosplay” and reinforced “false rhetoric” about country music.
Jay-Z faced the wrath of Banks as she blamed him for supposedly making Beyoncé’ “boring.” Banks gave Hov credit for his role in Rihanna’s career but claimed he failed to help Megan Thee Stallion and Rita Ora.
“Ugh I’m so saddened by Jay-Z and his overstrategizing everything beyonce to the point where it’s clearly his influence and not the real Bianca Bardot,” she wrote. “Someone tell Jayz his strategies are corny and beyonce has better ideas. Like it’s obvious why we got no burna boy action for Ja Ara E. We would like to hear some beyonce records without Jay-z on them. We would like to see her outside without him and his pound puppy dreadlocks breathing all over herrrrrrrr.”
She continued, “I’ll give it to him for turning an initially very uninteresting Rihanna into one of the worlds biggest stars but he flopped with Rita and Meg and for the sake of all things grand, should realize how much he cramps her diva style ugh. Her legacy and freedom of expression is not his to share and I wish he would get over that. Sure Jay is an important figure in music but he is not THE STAR that is Bianca Bardot…. Go somewhere n#### damn.”
Banks also dismissed Beyoncé’s comments about not feeling welcomed in country music. Banks called it “falsified victim crap” and accused Beyoncé’ of using her “capitalist advantage” against Black country artists.
“Please stop with the pity party and admit u got criticized the same way you did when you tried to slide ‘listen’ into dream girls despite it not being a part of the original score,” Banks wrote. “it’s crazy to me that all it takes is some white persons opinion for her to start tap dancing.”
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter is scheduled to drop on March 29. The album is the second part of a trilogy, which began with 2022’s Renaissance.
Arrested in June 2022 along with 19 others, Lee Drilly stands accused of engaging in a massive drug distribution network that spanned several years, trafficking substances such as crack cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl throughout the Bronx.
The operation, as outlined by authorities, was primarily centered in and around 2685 Valentine Avenue, a Bronx apartment building turned drug market.
The gang manufactured significant quantities of crack cocaine within the premises and conducted sales in shifts, effectively establishing an open drug market.
Despite these grave accusations, Lee Drilly’s legal defense has mounted a case emphasizing his youth, background, and potential for rehabilitation.
Lee Drilly said he was raised under challenging circumstances in the Bronx by a devoted single mother and amid familial struggles with addiction and poverty.
He turned to music as a possible exit from the cycle of deprivation. Since his dad was a bodyguard for Bad Boy Records’ artists in the 90s, Lee Drilly found solace and ambition in Hip-Hop, carving a niche for himself within the Drill rap scene, as evidenced by his Spotify listenership, YouTube viewership and Instagram following.
“[Lee Drilly’s] involvement in the current case has caused him to reflect on what he wants his music to say,” his lawyer Phillip Hamilton, Esq. said.
“Even if he is still addressing the issues faced by his community, [Lee Drilly] is clear that he does not want to glorify the lifestyle and plans to use his ability to connect with people through music to be clear with his audience what the repercussions are of this lifestyle; repercussions that he is currently living through himself, and which are not often discussed in commercialized hip-hop,” Hamilton added.
His defense portrayed his foray into criminal activities as marked by naïveté rather than malice, influenced by his brother and a misguided pursuit of credibility within his music career.
Lee Drilly’s involvement in the operation is described as a minor role, limited to a solitary documented transaction without any direct engagement in violent acts or firearm possession.
His legal team is also optimistic about reaching a plea agreement related to a manslaughter charge after the gang shot a rival to death during a shootout.
Lee Drilly is asking for five years instead of a potentially much longer term.

De La Soul dropped 3 Feet High and Rising in 1989. Numerous music publications have listed the trio’s debut LP as one of the greatest Hip-Hop albums of all time.
The Recording Academy will officially honor the 2024 inducted recordings at the inaugural Grammy Hall Of Fame Gala and Concert. That event takes place on May 21 at The Novo Theater in Los Angeles.
Latto will make history in her home state this summer. The Georgia-raised recording artist will become the first female rapper to headline Atlanta’s annual Birthday Bash event on June 22.
Hot 107.9 revealed the lineup for the 2024 edition of Birthday Bash which takes place inside the State Farm Arena. In addition to Latto & Friends, the radio station booked Key Glock, Killer Mike, Boosie and other Hip-Hop acts.

The Clayton County representative heads into June’s Birthday Bash concert on the heels of releasing her “Sunday Service” single in February. “Sunday Service” peaked at No. 100 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Latto had a successful 2023. Her “Put It On Da Floor Again” collaboration with Cardi B reached platinum status. She also linked up with Jungkook for the record-breaking “Seven” which debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100.
Additionally, Latto won Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the 2023 BET Awards over Cardi B, Coi Leray, GloRilla, Ice Spice, Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj. “Seven” received the Billboard Music Awards trophy for Top Global K-pop Song.
Justice Smith probably has fire playlists in his phone. The actor, known for his versatile acting roles, recently made headlines for his leading role in “The American Society of Magical Negroes.” He shared his personal music preferences in Hip-Hop, which surprisingly skewed in the older schools. In a lively conversation with Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur, Smith expressed his admiration for several Hip-Hop artists who’ve influenced him, some of which were quite surprising as he promoted the movie.
“The American Society of Magical Negroes” is a unique and unconventional take on racism. Justice plays Aaron, an aspiring yarn sculptor working at a social network embroiled in a complex narrative of love and stereotypes. “He’s very uncomfortable around white people, and he feels like his way to get rid of his discomfort is to be nice, be friendly, but that indirectly allows them to disrespect him further,” he explained. The movie has been panned, but part of that is due to the subject matter, which has caused discomfort in audiences.
“The American Society of Magical Negroes” is more than just a film; it’s a discussion starter. Jigsaw and Justice talk Black stuff and Hip-Hop’s influence on his life.
Justice Smith: So we have a bunch of questions for you, but first of all, tell us about this movie a little bit. This movie is about the Magical Negro film trope.
AllHipHop: Tell people about the trope, because some people might not know.
Justice Smith: I’ve learned that the trope is these black characters who are usually actually magical in movies who support a white protagonist in achieving their dreams, getting their girl, getting their job. But we never really learn anything about the black person. And this movie is twisting it on its head and saying and centering those characters who have traditionally been on the sidelines and using it as a metaphor for what it’s like to survive in white spaces.
AllHipHop: And talk about your character.
Justice Smith: I play Aaron. He’s a yarn sculptor.
AllHipHop: Yarn sculptor. (Laughs hysterically)
Justice Smith: The yarn sculptor. That’s…
AllHipHop: Magical.
Justice Smith: Yeah. In a way that’s nice. That’s the nice thing to say about him. And he’s very uncomfortable around white people and he feels like his way to get rid of his discomfort is to be nice, be friendly, but that indirectly allows them to disrespect him further. And he’s in this vicious cycle until he gets indoctrinated into the society [of Magical Negroes] where he turns that into a talent, a twisted talent, and then eventually learns that maybe he shouldn’t be doing that.
AllHipHop: And he has. He kind of gets love going on…
Justice Smith: Yes, exactly. It helps him on his path to learning to fight for what he wants.
AllHipHop: Now, do you happen to know any magical Negroes?
Justice Smith: Why is everyone asking me this?
AllHipHop: Because I mean, aren’t all Black people magical though?
Justice Smith: Okay, that was going to be my diplomatic answer. So, well all Black people are magical. That’s actually a better answer. Yes. All black people are magical, but…
AllHipHop: Negroes, what’s the difference?
Justice Smith: All Black people are Negroes. All Black people are magical, magical negroes. Okay, listen, I think we’ve all had a moment where we’ve been at work or in an elevator and it’s all white folk, and we’ve had to pick our battles, keep our mouths shut, or just smile, or just to get home. I feel like that’s the philosophy of the magical negroes. Just get by.
AllHipHop: I’m calling my white friend tonight. I’m going to ask him, am I your magical negro? No, now I’m questioning it. (Laughing)
Justice Smith: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, listen, we’ve all had those moments. It’s shameful, but we’ve all had ’em.
AllHipHop: Now this is a Hip-Hop platform. So I have to ask you, is Kanye West a magical one?
Justice Smith: (Laughs) Why are you trying to trap me?
AllHipHop: Is Obama? But Obama is saving the whole country…
Justice Smith: (Still Laughing) You trying to trap me again? So he’s not just saving white people. So he’s not a magical negro.
AllHipHop: Oh, okay. But he kind of did though. (All Laugh) Alright. Alright. Let me get on course here. Alright, what about reverse racism? What about that? Do we need some kind of magical white person now to reverse the narrative, the trope?
Justice Smith: No, that’s called a white savior. Yeah, it’s also problematic. It’s also f##ked up.
AllHipHop: You got me on that one. All. Alright, so last question. Can we get your top five dead or alive rappers?
Justice Smith: Rappers. Dead or alive? Okay. Now, I don’t know if you noticed, but I was on a show about rap called “The Get Down.”
AllHipHop: Oh yeah, the Get Down. Big fan of that. I was mad when it got canceled.
Justice Smith: Appreciate you. But so I know a lot older rap, you know Digable Planets.
AllHipHop: Come on (Insulted!)
Justice Smith: Now. I love Digable Planets. I feel like they still hold up. That’s my number one.
AllHipHop: I think their Grammy speech kind of messed them up.
Justice Smith: Oh, I didn’t see it. Okay.
AllHipHop: Googleit.
Justice Smith: Okay. Okay. I really like Kendrick. I feel like everybody says that, but I like Kendrick. I really like, I don’t want to say the basic ones. I like Biggie. I know, but say the basic ones. I like Most Def or what’s his name now? Yasiin. I like Chance [The Rapper].
AllHipHop: What about Drake?
Justice Smith: You’re saying because I look like Drake. You saying I like Drake, because I look like Drake. (Joking)
AllHipHop: There’s a resemblance there. A thinner version.
Justice Smith: I like Drake. I like Drake’s old stuff.
AllHipHop: Okay, I got you. I see where you’re coming from. You’re coming from a more holistic version of Hip-Hop, more earthy.
Justice Smith: When it comes to music genres, I like a little bit of everything. So when it comes to rap, I like a little bit of everything.
AllHipHop: What about work? What you working on next?
Justice Smith:I got another movie coming out in May with A24. It’s a horror movie. So look out for that.
Kai Cenat is one of the most popular streamers on the internet. Many of the 22-year-old entertainer’s fans show their appreciation by sending him gifts.
A recent stream included Kai Cenat unboxing packages shipped to his P.O. box in Atlanta. His supporters offered items like AirPods, bongs, posters, clothes, toys and more. However, one present left the YouTuber confused.
“I know you like Beyblades, so here is one for you. And it’s also a whistle,” read the note attached to one of Cenat’s mailed-in presents. He then blew into the object while still on camera.
It turned out the “Beyblade” was actually a vibrating butt-plug. Kai Cenat eventually realized he got duped. Clips of his immediate reaction made it to social media sites like X and Instagram.
“I’m so f###### dumb!” Cenat stated before falling to the floor. The former State University of New York at Morrisville student discarded the sex toy and continued to open other boxes.
Dr. Dre was immortalized in Los Angeles this week when the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce presented the legendary music producer with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He also stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to celebrate that accolade.
Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent joined Dr. Dre on the ABC late-night talk show. After discussing Snoop’s upcoming Missionary album, Dre confirmed Eminem will have a studio LP dropping this year.
“Let me tell you something, let me explain something to you right now, Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year,” Dr. Dre told Jimmy Kimmel about his longtime musical protégé’s next body of work.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer continued, “I actually talked to him and he said it was okay for me to make that announcement, right here, on this show. So he has an album coming out. I’ve got songs on it and it’s fire.”
Dr. Dre played a significant role in Eminem becoming a Hip-Hop icon. Em’s 1999 album, The Slim Shady LP, featured production by the N.W.A member and a feature on the “Guilty Conscience” track. Eminem contributed to Dre’s classic studio LP, 2001, later that year.
Eminem released his eleventh album, Music to Be Murdered By, in 2020. The Detroit-bred MC has 10 career No. 1s on the Billboard 200 chart. 2000’s The Marshall Mathers LP and 2002’s The Eminem Show earned diamond certification from the RIAA.

Netflix is giving fans a first look at Rapman’s upcoming all-Black superhero series, Supacell.
The six-part sci-fi drama premieres in June and centres on a group of ordinary South Londoners who develop superpowers. Their new abilities make them targets of the powerful agency that created them.
“The deeper theme of the show is love,” Rapman revealed in a behind-the-scenes video last year. One of the group must bring them all together to save the love of his life before it’s too late.
“I always get asked why I’ve done a superhero show. People don’t know that I love the genre,” Rapman explained in last year’s teaser. “Growing up in South London, I never really saw anything that made me think, ‘Yeah, this could happen where we’re from’. Now, when you watch Supacell, you’re actually gonna think: ‘You know what? That probably could happen, you know’.”
Meanwhile, Rapman, showrunner, creator and lead director of the six-part series launched an initiative to help Black creatives break into the TV industry. The “Supacell Six” scheme founded by Rapman, New Wave and Netflix provides the candidates the opportunity to develop skills in their chosen fields, with access to experts, courses and shadowing crew.
The multihyphenate rapper, producer, director and screenwriter gained initial success and caught the eye of Roc Nation with his viral three-part web series Shiro’s Story. After signing with Jay-Z’s entertainment agency, Rapman made his directorial debut with the musical crime drama Blue Story in 2019. The South Londoner discussed the movie with AllHipHop.com back in 2020. Watch the interview here.
Benny The Butcher is letting his beef with Freddie Gibbs simmer, gifting the Alfredo creator’s baby mama a BSF chain.
The Griselda rapper and Gibbs have been at odds for some time and even got into a physical altercation in May 2022. Gibbs and his then-girlfriend, who goes by the name Destini Creams, got their chains snatched in the chaos.
However, while his feud with Gibbs remains, Benny has since made up with Gibbs’ baby mama and even returned her chain.
Nonetheless, on Tuesday (March 19), Destini Creams revealed that the Buffalo MC upped the ante and gifted her new chain with a flash BMF pendant. She posted a video featuring Benny placing the diamond-encrusted piece around her neck before posing up a storm together.
“Lost a chain, got a bigger one,” she captioned the video.
Benny The Butcher opened up about his beef with Freddie Gibbs during an interview last year.
He told The Breakfast Club that he returned Destini Creams’ chain because “I’m really a nice guy.” Benny explained that she “was caught in the middle of some s### she had nothing to do with.”
However, he has no intention of patching things up with Gibbs.
“Hell no,” he replied when asked if they would ever make peace. “You don’t do that s### to people you cool with, and that’s just it. I really don’t have no problem with him. He never done nothing to me in life. I have no problem with him. It’s just that I would be goofy. And the people I make my music for would look at me goofy if I would stand next to him.”
Snoop Dogg comically remixed his iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame moment to pay tribute to Dr. Dre as the Hip-Hop mogul received his own coveted star.
On Tuesday (March 19), the Death Row honcho took to the podium to honor Dre and his legacy.
“I wanna thank me,” he began as the audience laughed. “For taking the call from Warren and Dr. Dre in ’91, even though I hung up on Warren a few times ’cause I thought the n#### was lying.”
After joking about being thankful for writing himself into “Deep Cover,” Snoop gave Dre his flowers.
“I wanna thank me for listening to Dre over the years and letting him be my teacher, mentor, brother, guardian, protector, and most importantly a good friend.”
Snoop then playfully gave himself props for “showing up on time at the Super Bowl,” before honoring Dr. Dre with a freestyle tribute.
“Dr. Dre, my brother from another mother, a rock in the sands on the beach he’d soon discover/Now we deep cover, blood brothers on a mission, Dre’s edition,” Snoop rapped. “House with no furniture, studio in the back with a little bit of food in the kitchen/Long Beach to Compton to Calabasas, compositions; pay attention/Quincy had Michael, they rewrote the cycle/So if Dre is Q and Mike is Snoop, we bang G thang, muthafuckin supergroup.”

Hours after the ceremony, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre joined forces with 50 Cent and Eminem to assist Jimmy Kimmel in a rip-roaring “Dre’s Anatomy” skit.
