Lil Wayne Declares Himself The LeBron James Of Rap: “A Phenom”

Lil Wayne has likened his dominance in the rap game to the longevity of one of the greatest basketball players of all time, LeBron James.

During a recent interview, the Young Money record label founder drew parallels between himself and the four-time MVP. Weezy told Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks that although “I do me the best,” there is an NBA player he would compare himself to.

“I would say that I’m like a LeBron,” Lil Wayne said. “A phenom. I dropped my first solo album when I was 14, and that’s the same album I’m talking about that went platinum. And I’ve been doing this at this pace or higher ever since, just like him.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Rooks asked Lil Wayne to name a potential successor to the soon-to-be 39-year-old LeBron James. According to Wayne, Grizzlies star Ja Morant is the logical successor because of his ability to draw in fans with his entertaining style of play.

“To me, the obvious answer is Ja [Morant], because the NBA is entertainment,” he explained. “What I mean by that, there was always a Michael Jordan, and that was just like, God. Ja’s teams are competitive when he’s there, when he’s doing his thing.”

Meanwhile, Lil Wayne recently revealed he has an unreleased collaboration with NBA champion Kevin Durant.

The Game Rumored To Be Dating Daughter Of Notorious “Basketball Wives” Star

The Game has been allegedly kicking it with a new woman who happens to be the daughter of a prominent reality star. Images began circulating of the West Coast rapper entertaining a female friend during a date at Nobu in Malibu over the weekend. Rumors are swirling that the woman in question, fully clad in matching black outfits with The Game, is none other than Shaniece Hairston, daughter of former Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozado.

While both The Game (44) and Lozado (48) are in their 40s, Hairston is a 30-year-old Instagram fitness model who was reportedly dating an NFL player signed to the New York Giants in 2022. On the flip side, Lozado also notoriously dated NFL player Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson and The Game has dated women regardless of their age gap previously. This was the case of the Compton native’s 2018 fling with India Love, who would’ve been 18 at the time.

Though this appears to be the first sighting of the pair together, they already seem to be a favorite amongst the masses despite the age gap between them. In the comments of an IG post sharing photos from the alleged date, YG appeared to show his support for the couple writing, “Bompton n###s do it betta.”

What do y’all think—do we have a new couple alert or do we need to mind our business?

50 Cent Extends Offer To Taraji P. Henson After She Airs Her Hollywood Grievances

50 Cent wants to work with Taraji P. Henson. The G-Unit boss tried to recruit Henson after she spoke out about pay disparity in Hollywood and why she fired her team following her run on the FOX series Empire.

“They dropped the ball f### em @tarajiphenson,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram. “I’m ready to work let’s get it! GLG GreenLightGang G-unit Film & TV.”

50 Cent reacted to comments made by Henson in an interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. She criticized her former team for failing to capitalize on the success of her Empire character Cookie.

“Everybody had to f###### go,” Henson said. “Where is my deal? Where’s my commercial? Cookie was at the top of the fashion game. Where is my endorsement? What did you have set up for after this? That’s why you all haven’t seen me in so long. They had nothing set up.”

She continued, “All they wanted was another Cookie show, and I said, ‘I’ll do it, but it has to be right. The people deserve—she’s too beloved for y’all to f### it up.’ And so, when they didn’t get it right, I was like, ‘Well, that’s it,’ and they had nothing else. ‘You’re all f###### fired.”

Henson pulled no punches about her treatment in Hollywood during her latest press run. She tearfully discussed her lack of fair compensation in the industry in a SiriusXM interview with Gayle King.

“I’m just tired of working so hard, being gracious at what I do, getting paid a fraction of the cost,” Henson said. “I’m tired of hearing my sisters say the same thing over and over. You get tired. I hear people go, ‘You work a lot.’ I have to. The math ain’t mathing. And when you start working a lot, you have a team. Big bills come with what we do. We don’t do this alone. It’s a whole entire team behind us. They have to get paid.”

Henson most recently starred in a new adaptation of The Color Purple. The film hit theaters on Monday (December 25).

https://soundcamps.com/blog/spotify-playlist-submission-chances/

With over 406 million subscribers worldwide, Spotify is one of the best platforms to publish your music and grow your following.

After all, Spotify monitors each user’s listening habits and keeps a record of the songs that are most saved and added to their playlists.

So getting your music on a Spotify playlist is a sure way to get record labels to notice you and boost your popularity.

When your track gets into their playlists, you will gain more exposure, streams, and followers.

With the right marketing strategy, you can grow your following on Spotify, and playlisting is one of the best ways to do this.

Here are 7 proven methods that you can use to build your Spotify playlist submission chances.

You can also take a look at our article on 5 Useful Ways To Increase Your Chance For A Spotify Playlist Placement for more ideas on this topic!

1. Understand what your listeners need and want

Think about the main interests and desires of your fans.

You need to put yourself in their shoes so that you can understand what they really need and want.

First, you need to know who your target audience is and what kind of music or genre they will like.

That way, you can reach them and give them what they truly want.

2. Create a plan

You need to plan everything so you can avoid wasting your time and effort.

Start by writing every possible way that can help widen your fanbase.

Keep your notes in one place and break every strategy down into smaller, more manageable chunks of tasks.

Do one task until you see results, and then make the necessary adjustments.

3. Take advantage of “playlist exchange”

One of the best ways to boost your playlist submission chances is to use Spotify’s Playlist Exchange.

It’s a forum where you can post your track and provide a short description of your mission, target audience, and genre.

You should also tag related keywords and genres to boost the reach of your post.

4. Connect with Spotify playlist curators

You can also improve your playlist’s exposure by connecting with other playlist curators in the artist community.

Take note of the artists and bands you attend shows with and connect with them.

You should also find out who your followers listen to.

That way, you can cross-promote your work and give your followers something they will like.

Additionally, you can connect with influencers in your community.

They don’t need to be musicians themselves.

You can ask them to share your track on their social media pages and, in return, you can send some merchandise or write a song for them.

5. Use social platforms

You should be on social media because that’s where everyone is.

Start by making a professional page on social platforms.

Create a page with a professional design and brand.

Don’t forget to give your audience value by posting relevant content such as your bio and gigs.

That way, you can grow your followers and start promoting your music for free.

6. Post your track on Reddit

Reddit’s user engagement can make posts go viral, so make sure to take advantage of this opportunity by posting your track on the Spotify Playlists subreddit.

You will find many playlist curators have shared their playlists there.

You only need to ask them to add your song, then wait for organic traffic.

7. Stay consistent

If you want to boost your Spotify for Artists playlist submission chances, then you should stay consistent and keep producing quality tracks.

After all, it will take more than just talent or luck to become a successful Spotify tastemaker.

You need to have a strategic roadmap that you will follow religiously.

Keep satisfying your listeners, and they will become loyal followers who will look forward to your latest and future tracks.

Final Thoughts

A Spotify playlist submission is just one part of the music promotion process.

You need to have an effective promotion strategy on Spotify that will help you get more streams, build your fanbase, and increase your exposure.

EXCLUSIVE: 50 Cent Loses Attempt To Toss Allegations He Hired Hitman To Kill Ex-Drug Dealer

50 Cent failed to convince a New York judge to throw out a lawsuit accusing him of threatening and intimidating an ex-drug dealer named Cory “Ghost” Holland. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Judge Analisa Torres rejected 50 Cent’s motion to dismiss on December 19.

Holland sued 50 Cent over the STARZ series Power in 2021. The former drug dealer said the show used his life story without permission.

Earlier this year, Holland filed a new lawsuit accusing 50 Cent of an intimidation campaign. Holland claimed he feared for his life, accusing the G-Unit rapper of trying to orchestrate a hit.

“It’s 50 Cent’s abilities to HIRE a HITMAN, due to a 150 Million Dollar Contract he secured through STARZ/LIONSGATE, that have created the FEAR and constant anxiety,” Holland said.

He added, “The hitmen 50 Cent hired, can KILL [me] and [my] family at any time and anywhere, once they are paid. So rather 50 Cent is in New York or Michigan or anywhere in America or Overseas, ‘ONCE HE PAYS THE HOMIES TO DO WHAT THEY DO BEST,’ quoting the defendant from the radio interview, the job can get done at any point after that.”

Holland suggested the federal government protected 50 Cent, allowing the outspoken artist to avoid consequences. Holland cited other victims of the Power producer’s wrath.

“[I] believe 50 Cent has some type of protection from the federal government, this has been mentioned by several people he has been involved with in VIOLENT situations,” Holland said. “Rather it’s his own Child’s Mother or Former Music Executives like Chris and Irv Gotti, of MURDER INC RECORDS, 50 Cent has the ability to do things everyday people can’t.”

Holland also mentioned the defendant’s social media antics.

“He callously targets people on social media for ONE purpose: their humiliation and his gain,” Holland said. “This is what he did to DJ Khaled, Shaniqua Tompkins, Megan The Stallion and countless others. He thought [I] was going to be his latest victim, but [I] fought back, it’s the ONLY way you can deal with a BULLY!”

The ex-drug dealer insisted his family was in grave danger. He claimed they lived in a constant state of fear due to the alleged threat of an attack.

“[We] now live in FEAR every single second of day of these unknown and unidentifiable KILLERS showing up at any time/anywhere to carry out 50 Cent’s orders to intimidate and or to MURDER them, to eliminate the legal consequences of the lawsuits brought against him,” Holland said. “the weapons that [we] NOW are armed with are due to the FEAR of being a victim of violence at any moment by these HIRED GOONS. [We] have no idea when the violence is coming, just prepared for when it’s does. However 50 Cent has the advantage, cause he controls what the HITMEN do, the contract is between him and the them, so all [we] can do is anticipate the INEVITABLE, every single second of the day.”

50 Cent’s lawyers argued the lawsuit was “nothing more than an abuse of the judicial system and should not be allowed to proceed to discovery.” Judge Torres disagreed, allowing the civil dispute to move forward.

Kanye West’s Antisemitism Apology Elicits Cautious Hope From ADL

The Anti-Defamation League responded to Kanye West apologizing for his antisemitism on Tuesday (December 26). The Jewish advocacy group appreciated Ye’s contrition but indicated there was much more do to if he truly intended to atone for his actions.

“After causing untold damage by using his vast influence and platform to poison countless minds with vicious antisemitism and hate, an apology in Hebrew may be the first step on a long journey towards making amends to the Jewish community and all those who he has hurt,” the ADL said in a statement. “Ultimately, actions will speak louder than words but this initial act of contrition is welcome.”

Kanye unexpectedly apologized for his antisemitic remarks via social media. His apology was written in Hebrew.

“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for my unplanned outburst caused by my words or actions, it was not my intention to hurt or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused,” he wrote. “I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity.”

Kanye made multiple antisemitic comments in 2022, leading to various brands cutting ties with him. Adidas, most notably, ended their longstanding Yeezy partnership.

The ADL linked Kanye’s past remarks to at least 59 incidents of antisemitism in 2022. Last month, the organization condemned him for lyrics used in his song “Vultures.”

Ye apologized after his name allegedly appeared on an Israeli missile amid war in the Middle East. He issued the apology ahead of the release of his Vultures album with Ty Dolla $ign. The project was scheduled to drop in December, but it went through several delays. The album is now expected to be released on January 12.

Mariah Carey Rewrites Hot 100 Record Book With Christmas Song’s Dominance

Mariah Carey’s holiday classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” helped her reach new heights in Billboard Hot 100 history. The song secured its 14th week – in total – at the top of the chart, making Carey the first artist with three hits spending at least 14 weeks at No. 1.

Carey notched 16 weeks at No. 1 with her Boyz II Men collaboration “One Sweet Day” in 1995-1996. Her single “We Belong Together” managed 14 weeks at No. 1 in 2005.

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” allowed Carey to extend her record for most weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. The track stretched her lead to 93 weeks with Rihanna in a distant second place at 60 weeks.

Carey originally dropped “All I Want For Christmas Is You” in 1994. The track appeared on her Merry Christmas album.

The song reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 decades after its release. It first hit No. 1 in 2017, becoming a fixture atop the chart during the holiday season.

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” spent three weeks at No. 1 in 2019, two in 2020, three more in 2021 and four in 2022. It scored two more weeks at No. 1 in 2023.

Carey’s song received heavy play during the holiday season, but some people weren’t happy about hearing the track so much. Plies admitted he was sick of the track over the weekend.

“I’m at my m############ momma’s house,” he said in an Instagram video. “Do you hear this? I’m sick of hearing this m############ song, ma. Alright?”

He added, “I love m############ Mariah just like everybody else loves her. But there ain’t no g###### way you want me to believe this is the only m############ Christmas song Mariah Carey got.”

Kanye West Apologizes To Jewish Community In Hebrew Following Antisemitic Controversies

After several anti-semitic comments going viral in recent years, Kanye West has now formally apologized to members of the Jewish community. The Hip-Hop recording artist posted a statement, written in Hebrew, on Instagram.

“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions, it was not my intention to hurt or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused,” Kanye West wrote.

The 46-year-old entertainer also added, “I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future.”

Kanye West then specifically asked for forgiveness, claiming it is “important” to him and that he wants to make amends and promote unity. This mea culpa comes after Ye recently went on another rant which included him mentioning Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and Zionists.

Several Jewish organizations, such as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), condemned West in 2022. At the time, the G.O.O.D. Music label founder threatened to go “death con 3 on Jewish people.” He also began appearing with white nationalist Nick Fuentes.

Corporations like Gap and Adidas ended their business relationships with Kanye West following the backlash for his anti-semitic remarks. West is now preparing to release a collaborative album with R&B singer Ty Dolla $ign on January 12 called Vultures.

The “Vultures” titled track included a controversial line by West. On the song, he raps, “How I’m anti-semitic? I just f##### a Jewish b####.” In response, the ADL released a statement that read, “At a time of rising antisemitism worldwide, it’s disgusting to see Kanye once again use his platform to spew Jew hatred.”

Future Confirms Collaborative Album With Metro Boomin Is Coming

Metro Boomin has been teasing a collaborative project with Future for months. His audio tag team partner recently let his followers know to expect that body of work soon.

Future reposted a screenshot of his tweet from May 1 that read, “Pluto X Metro.” The Atlanta-raised rhymer’s new Instagram Story included the caption, “Album on the way [eagle emoji].”

During his appearance at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in September, Metro Boomin told the television audience, “Me and Pluto album on the way,” referring to one of Future’s popular nicknames.

Then a December 19 tweet from Metro also forecasted the upcoming joint effort with his longtime musical partner. He shared a photo with Future in the studio. That pic’s caption read, “COMING SOON [three eagle emojis].”

Metro Boomin has become a regular contributor to the Freebandz frontman’s discography. The combination of Metro and Future has produced songs such as  “Honest, “Mask Off” and “Jumpman.”

2022’s I Never Liked You is Future’s most recent solo studio LP. Metro Boomin did not have a production credit on that chart-topping album. He explained the omission during a December 2022 interview.

“[Future] actually finished most of the album at my studio in LA,” Metro stated. “That’s my brother, but we’re working on some things. At first, we were going to put a couple of songs with me and him on the album, but we had took them off because I had talked to him.”

The St. Louis native also said, “I was like, ‘Look, the last time anybody’s really heard a song from me and you was ‘Mask Off.’ So instead of us randomly throwing one or two songs we did on here, we got to wait and just give them a joint.’”

Metro Boomin dropped his Heroes & Villains album that same month. The Grammy-nominated project featured Future on multiple tracks, including the Hot 100 Top 10 hit “Superhero (Heroes & Villains)” with Chris Brown.

Future also showed up on the Metro-curated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse soundtrack. Both Heroes & Villains and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse peaked in the Billboard 200’s Top 5 region. Heroes & Villains opened at No. 1.

Cardi B & Offset Reunite To Celebrate Christmas With Their Kids

Hip-Hop celebrity couple Cardi B and Offset have been headline news for weeks. The “Jealousy” collaborators reportedly split up which led to Cardi going on a rant about her estranged husband.

The two rap stars apparently put aside their differences for the holidays. Both Cardi B and Offset posted home videos on their respective social media accounts celebrating Christmas with their kids.

The Instagram Stories showed 5-year-old Kulture and 2-year-old Wave opening their presents. Other family members can also be seen in the festive clips that have since gone viral.

Earlier this month, Cardi B revealed she separated from Offset. The breakup supposedly happened before Blueface accused Set of sleeping with his ex-girlfriend, Chrisean Rock. Offset denied those rumors.

Cardi then went on an Instagram rant, blasting Offset. She accused the Set It Off album creator of playing games and doing her dirty. She even called Set a “b####-ass n####.” Her emotional tirade quickly spread across the internet.

After remaining quiet for a few days, Cardi B popped back out at a Marine Toys for Tots Foundation event in New York on December 19. The Grammy winner later went clubbing. A video of Cardi dancing to Sexyy Red’s “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad)” also made the rounds on social media.

Eminem Being Named Hip-Hop GOAT Is White Supremacy According To Dr. Umar

Hip-Hop culture celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023. The monumental occasion led to conversations about some of the greatest rappers of all time. Does Eminem deserve GOAT contention? Dr. Umar Johnson says no.

A recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast featured Dr. Umar Johnson as a guest panelist. At one point, the discussion focused on Eminem and whether the Detroit native belongs among the pantheon of MCs.

“This is going to my African fundamentalism. No non-African can ever be the best of anything African. It is an insult to the ancestors, it is an insult to the race and it is an insult to every Black person,” Dr. Umar proclaimed.

The self-described pan-Africanist also added, “We gotta stop naming non-African people as the best of any aspect of our cultural power because it is an insult… I can acknowledge Eminem’s talent. But for you to put him at the top, that’s white supremacy.”

Eminem has repeatedly faced complaints that his success in rap music stems from being Caucasian. Even the 15-time Grammy winner has acknowledged his racial privilege on wax.

“Let’s do the math if I was Black, I would’ve sold half,” Em rapped on “White America” off the 2002 album The Eminem Show. That studio LP also hosts “Without Me.” The song includes Eminem rapping, “I am the worst thing since Elvis Presley to do Black music so selfishly.”

Despite the objections about Eminem from people like Dr. Umar Johnson and Lord Jamar, many rappers embraced the “Lose Yourself” hitmaker. His list of collaborators includes Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Joe Budden and more.

Plies Declares He’s Sick Of Hearing Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”

Christmas 2023 has passed which means Mariah Carey’s annual musical takeover will start to wind down. Plies does not appear to be upset that he won’t hear “All I Want for Christmas Is You” as much.

Plies took to social media to share his thoughts about Mariah Carey’s holiday tune. According to the Florida-bred rapper, his mother overplayed “All I Want for Christmas Is You” this winter season.

“I’m at my m############ momma’s house. Do you hear this?” Plies stated in a video posted to his Instagram page. “I’m sick of hearing this m############ song, ma. Alright?”

He also said, “I love m############ Mariah just like everybody else loves her. But there ain’t no g###### way you want me to believe this is the only m############ Christmas song Mariah Carey got.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/C1Sd6lAPksV/?hl=en

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” lives on Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas album from 1994. That project also hosts other holiday-themed tracks such as “Silent Night,” “O Holy Night” and “Joy To The World.”

In a now-yearly repeat, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” once again broke the all-time global Spotify record for single-day streams. The song racked up 23.7 million streams on December 24 of this year, surpassing the 21.3 million streams it pulled in on Christmas Eve 2022.

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” also returned to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 this year. Mariah Carey’s classic carol has now ruled over that singles chart for a total of 13 weeks over five consecutive years.

Nicki Minaj Talks Artist Turning Down “Pink Friday 2” Feature: “They Don’t Think I Like Them”

Nicki Minaj appeared on Funny Marco’s Open Thoughts show to promote her new Pink Friday 2 album. The comedian questioned the Hip-Hop recording artist about potential guest features.

“Has it ever happened where you wanted a feature and it didn’t happen?” Funny Marco asked Nicki Minaj. She responded, “On this album, there definitely was a feature that I wanted on a song called ‘Cow Girl.'”

The Queens, New York native also added, “The person, at first, recorded it and sent it back. Then the person hit me one day and said they were in a ‘different era.’ I was like, ‘Oh, okay. So you tell me that months later.'”

Nicki Minaj continued, “Then after that, their people apparently said they wanted to do it, now that they’re not in that ‘era’ anymore. We said, ‘OK. Let’s see.’ Then we got another few comments saying that they don’t really think I like them.”

Minaj has had public rivalries with numerous other celebrities throughout her career. In particular, she publicly feuded with other female rappers like Lil Kim, Remy Ma, Cardi B, Coi Leray and Latto.

Pink Friday 2 does feature J. Cole, Lil Wayne, Tate Kobang, Drake, Lourdiz, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, 50 Cent, Keyshia Cole, and Monica. Minaj’s fifth studio LP arrived on December 8.

Upon its release, Pink Friday 2 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 228,000 first-week units. Nicki Minaj now has three Number Ones on the chart which sets the record for female rappers.

Lil Wayne Says “Backpack Rapper” Kevin Durant Ruined Surprise For “Carter VI” Album Collab

Lil Wayne has revealed he has an unreleased collaboration with Kevin Durant that nearly made his collaborative album with 2 Chainz, Welcome 2 Collegrove.

On Thursday (December 21) Weezy appeared in a new interview and addressed the track, saying the NBA champion actually spoiled his surprise to release the track on his upcoming album, Carter VI.

“Why would KD do that because that was on the wrap, that was on the low—see now that you did that I just want you to know you messed up,” he said in part. “That song was being considered to be on Carter VI and now since you’re saying something, it’s not goin’ on Carter VI.‘”

Wayne continued, explaining why he wouldn’t be honoring KD’s request to release a snippet. “No I am not going to playing a snippet because I just told the people how important the song and the verse is,” he said. “Actually it was supposed to go on the Collegrove [Welcome 2 Collegrove] album with me and 2 Chainz that just came out but, I saved it, I wanted it for something else.”

Not only did Wayne go on to describe KD’s talent level as a lyricist, he also praised him as as a special talent.

“KD’s a jewel like something of the past,” Wayne said about KD’s rap skills. “Because he’s a backpack rapper. I can imagine he probably could call a timeout in a game, and probably ask him to rap and he probably got a verse for you.”

EXCLUSIVE: Takeoff’s Dad Intervenes In $1M Wrongful Death Lawsuit Amidst Reports Of Estate Feud

The tragic death of rapper Takeoff may be turning into a family feud over a year after he was gunned down in November of 2022.

Titania Davenport has become embroiled in multiple legal battles related to her acclaimed son’s murder, including a $1 million wrongful death lawsuit against 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston, the venue where her son was fatally shot.

The lawsuit, filed in June 2023, alleges that the venue knew about the private party Takeoff attended but failed to provide adequate security measures.

But now, Takeoff’s dad, Kenneth Ball, recently stepped into the lawsuit as an “Intervenor.” An “Intervenor” in a wrongful death lawsuit, or any other civil lawsuit, refers to a third party who joins an existing legal case.

Kenneth Ball was not initially named in, or a part of, Davenport’s lawsuit but decided to enter because of the personal effect the death of his son had on him.

“[Kenneth Ball], the natural parent of [Takeoff], has suffered substantial pecuniary loss both in the past and in the future. Indeed, [Ball] has suffered past and future pecuniary loss, including funeral and burial expenses, psychological and psychiatric expenses, loss of advice, loss of counsel, loss of services, loss of care, loss of maintenance and loss of support,” Ball’s Houston-based lawyer Brant J. Stogner explained.

Like Takeoff’s mom, Kenneth Ball seeks at least $1 million from 810 Billiards & Bowling. Takeoff died without a will, leaving behind an estate worth at least $26 million.

Reports suggest that Kenneth Ball and Titania Davenport are involved in a dispute over his estate. Despite the alleged conflict, in this lawsuit, both of Takeoff’s parents claim the venue did not implement proper screening or other safety methods to ensure adequate security at the event.

Both lawsuits point out at least 18 instances where the venue failed to protect its patrons, including Takeoff and other public figures present at the event.

The owners of 810 Billiards and Bowling, however, have strongly denied any responsibility for Takeoff’s death. Their defense is focused on the actions of Patrick Xavier Clark and Cameron Joshua, who were implicated in the shooting.

The legal representatives of the venue argue that these individuals acted independently, thus absolving the venue of liability in the rapper’s death.

Clark, who was 33 at the time, was charged with murder following his arrest on December 2, 2022, while Cameron Joshua, known as “Lil Cam 5th,” was arrested on charges related to firearm possession.

Council Members Introduce Resolution To Give Jay-Z His Own Day

Jesus may have some competition during December if New York City Council Member Farah Louis gets her way in honor of the “God MC” “Jayhova” aka Jay-Z. Louis has introduced a resolution to declare December 4 as “Jay-Z Day” in New York City.

If Resolution 849 passes, it would create an official day to celebrate the birthday of Jay-Z and honor his achievements as a musician, businessman, husband, and father.

“December 4 as Jay-Z Day, announces to the world how this Brooklyn son can be all things including loved by his community,” Council Member Farah Louis explained. “In the spirit of celebrating hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, establishing an annual celebration to recognize a homegrown hero while proclaiming our municipal support is fitting to designate. Our resolution is an emotional, practical banner raised. Jay-Z has shown the resilience to beat the odds, self-admitted errors, and has developed mechanisms to create opportunities for others. As always, he has done this work wearing Brooklyn and NYC on his heart.”

Jay-Z, who grew up in the Marcy Houses of Bedford-Stuyvesant, is known for being a consummate businessman and loving father to the three children he shares with his superstar wife, Beyonce.

His legendary career launched with Roc-A-Fella Records, which was co-owned by Damon Dash and Kareem “Biggs” Burke.

Throughout his music career, Jay-Z has sold over 140 million records; he has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and boasts 24 Grammys.

Beyoncé Tragedy: Childhood Home Engulfed in Flames On Christmas Day

The childhood home of global superstar Beyoncé Knowles-Carter caught fire in Houston’s Third Ward Christmas morning.

The Houston Fire Department responded to the emergency call at around 2:07 a.m. at the residence located in the 2410 block of Rosedale Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered the two-story house engulfed in flames, prompting an aggressive response to the inferno.

The intensity of the fire necessitated firefighters to cut into the roof to clear the attic.

Fortunately, the couple residing in the home, along with their two small children, had self-evacuated before the arrival of the fire department, ensuring no injuries were reported.

“They did a great job. I’m going to say in less than 10 minutes, we had a really good grip on this fire,” District Chief Justin Barnes told Channel 13 ABC News.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and further details are awaited.

The Houston Fire Department has not released any further information regarding the damage to the property or the potential cause of the fire.

The house, known for its connection to the early childhood of Beyoncé, has been a point of interest for fans of the artist.

This incident has drawn significant attention, not only due to its connection to Beyoncé but also because of the timing on Christmas Day.

Rihanna Shocked Her Son Riot Doesn’t Have Her Forehead

Rihanna was shocked when her youngest child didn’t inherit the same forehead as her. The Barbadian singer and partner A$AP Rocky have sons RZA, 19 months, and four-month-old Riot.

Talking to Access Hollywood about motherhood, 35-year-old Rihanna shared her hopes and dreams for her family – and also the physical differences between her two boys.

“I hope that I can have kids one day and I hope I can have them in love and I hope that I can be part of a family that breaks generational curses and just like, moves forward and does new things and raises our kids better than we’ve been raised,” she opened up. “And every – all the beautiful things and it’s happening and I can’t believe it.

“The only thing I can imagine was probably the forehead on RZA, I mean Riot doesn’t have it! I’m like, wait are you sure? You can’t lose this thing!”

After laughing about the shape of her face, she then got serious when asked about how it felt watching A$AP Rocky, 35, become a dad. The two music stars began dating in late 2020, and Rihanna confirms their relationship is even better since they welcomed their children.

“Oh I loved him differently as a dad. This is major, major… it’s a turn on,” she praised. “Wow, what a leader what a great patient loving… And my kids are obsessed with him. I’m just a background, like I’m an extra. Yup. Yup, it happens.

“It doesn’t matter if it’s girls or boys, they love their dad differently and I love to see it.”

Nicki Minaj Talks Possible Taylor Swift Collaboration

Nicki Minaj would make music with Taylor Swift “in a heartbeat.” The “Pound the Alarm” hitmaker took to X, formerly known as Twitter to heap praise on the “Shake It Off” star after she ended Taylor’s dominance of the top five of Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart.

“The SAG(ITTARIUS) QUEEN TAYLOR DESERVES!!!! PERIOD!!!!!” she wrote. “She takes months & years off then comes back with great music & fans who’ll never leave her!!!!”

A fan replied asking if she would ever collaborate with Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj replied, “In a heart beat.”

Last week, Taylor Swift became the first female artist in U.S. history to occupy the full top five on the Vinyl Albums chart in America. Nicki Minaj swiftly ended that feat when her album, Pink Friday 2, debuted at No. 2 this week.

The rest of the top five is still comprised of Taylor’s albums 1989 (Taylor’s Version), Midnights, Folklore, and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).

Reflecting on the achievement, Nicki Minaj wrote on X, “We broke the record in vinyl sales for any female rap album in history. That means that retailers had no way of knowing that the vinyls would be in such high demand. Either way, now they do! That’s a marvelous thing! Taylor & her fans have put in the work. Now it’s our turn.”

She added, “The point is that we have something to aspire to as we watch the SAG QUEEN Taylor & the swifties & Republic Records.” Many fans thought Taylor and Nicki, who are both Sagittariuses, had collaborated on a song for the 34-year-old’s 1989 re-release but that speculation turned out to be false.
