Cardi B Reveals Her Obsession With War And Love For Franklin And Eleanor Roosevelt On “Hot Ones”

Cardi B showed how diverse her interests are and gave fans a different side of herself after revealing she’s a history buff who loves former president Franklin D. Roosevelt and his wife Eleanor.

The “Bongos” hitmaker shared her obsession with World War II during the latest episode of Hot Ones. The wide-ranging interview covered everything from Jay-Z to aliens as Cardi B chomped through the flaming hot wings.

When asked about going to get a chopped cheese sandwich with David Letterman for an episode of his Netflix show last year, Cardi B revealed that “what stays in my mind” from that experience was going to FDR’s house.

“If anybody loves me, know me, I love FDR … and I love Eleanor Roosevelt,” Cardi gushed. “I grew up reading a lot about Eleanor Roosevelt… she had a very sad life. And like, when I went to her house, she had a different house from her husband because, you know, FDR mama, she was always around, and she didn’t really like that Eleanor wanted her space. Just like me I want my own space all the time.”

Cardi B explained visiting the room where FDR and former Prime Minister Winston Churchill discussed the atomic bomb was “crazy to me,” before detailing her fixation on the World Wars.

“I don’t know why, I’m obsessed with war,” she added. “I’m obsessed with World War II — I love World War I, I like reading about that. But World War II? I’m just obsessed with just learning everything about it.”

Check out a clip of Cardi B discussing her love for War and the Roosevelts on Hot Ones below and watch the episode at the end of the page.

Cardi B Gets A Shoutout From The History Channel

A clip from the interview went viral and caught the attention of The History Channel.

A stunned Cardi B replied, “OMGGG.”

J. Cole Seemingly Responds To NBA YoungBoy Diss On New Lil Yachty Track “ The Secret Recipe”

J. Cole has linked up with Lil Yachty on the new single, “ The Secret Recipe,” delivering another verse showcasing his elite rapping skills.

Lil Boat dropped the track on Thursday evening (September 28), seemingly out of nowhere, accompanied by fresh visuals featuring the duo rapping in an empty venue.

The Dreamville Records founder opens his verse declaring that he and Yachty are “comin’ for they respect” and goes on to address a rapper who asked him for a feature. From the lyrics, it appears Cole is firing back at NBA YoungBoy after he took a shot at the Fayetteville, North Carolina native earlier this year on “F### The Industry Pt. 2.”

On the track, released in May, YoungBoy dissed Drake, Lil Durk, JT and “The Secret Recipe” hitmakers Lil Yachty and J Cole.

“J a ho, that n#### played it cold like he was gon’ do a feature,” YoungBoy raps on the song. “So I texted his line a muscle sign, I swear it’s gon’ be nice to meet you.”

Meanwhile, on “The Secret Recipe,” Cole calls out rappers “movin’ extra on songs, fakin’ rep,” before tackling a rapper who asked to get on a track with him.

“N##### makin’ threats and I laugh, that’s ’cause you ain’t a threat /Don’t ask how I feel ’bout no rappers, s###, they okay, I guess,” Cole declared. “Incomin’ call, press the button, the one that say accept /He FaceTime to ask for a feature and saw the face of death.”

Is HoneyKomb Brazy Free Or Is Somebody Trolling?

The word on the streets is that HoneyKomb Brazy is free. My first response to that was “HOW?” There’s only a few ways that HoneyKomb could be free. First of all, let’s discuss what he was dealing with in jail.

HoneyKomb Brazy is a native of Alabama that was hit with a 15-year jail sentence based on a probation violation. The Rap-A-Lot Records went straight to jail after a series of true dramatic matters in the real world.

HoneyKomb Brazy was running the streets and causing his version of mayhem. Then his probation was revoked in in like 2020-2021 and he was placed on probation for 18 months. Tragically, his grandparents, Tony and Leila Lewis, were found dead in a house fire, and it was later revealed that Leila had been shot in the head before the fire started. This is how badly they hated Brazy in the streets.

But his life behind bars was not better.

Soon, HoneyKomb Brazy was complaining about the rigors of prision life at the Limestone Correctional Facility. “This situation is unbearable, and I’d rather choose death over this, for real. #LongLiveGeorgeFloyd,” he said on IG. But, he went into more details about what he was going through. “I’ve been at Limestone Correctional Facility for just nine days, and they’ve subjected me to five shakedowns already. This is an institution marked by racial bias, with officers using derogatory language and racial slurs. I’m currently in solitary confinement without any disciplinary reports or explanations.” That sounded like a lawyer’s words to me.

He did continue to articulate what he was going through. I do not know if that can lead to freedom or not. We are over there trying to figure out what gets him freed up.

HoneyKomb has gotten a lot of support from various rappers but none of them have offered any info with how he could have possibly reversed a 15 years prison terms. There’s always one, which is the big “S-Word.’s fellow rappers expressed their support in the comments section. Yung Bleu, the 2021 Rising Star according to HipHopDX, promised to take legal action on behalf of HoneyKomb Brazy. He stated, “I’m going to find out where you are, brother, and my lawyer will follow up ASAP.”

HoneyKomb Brazy’s ordeal began after his probation was revoked in November the previous year, and he was placed on probation for 18 months. Tragically, his grandparents, Tony and Leila Lewis, were found dead in a house fire, and it was later revealed that Leila had been shot in the head before the fire started.

Despite this grim story, there is a glimmer of hope, as a report from WKRG suggests that one of the suspects believed to be involved in the murder of HoneyKomb Brazy’s grandparents was also arrested on drug charges earlier this year.

Taylor Swift Heaps Praise On Ice Spice; Says Rapper Never Takes Eye Off The Prize

Taylor Swift gushed over her new friend and collaborator Ice Spice in a Variety cover story. The pop star applauded Ice Spice’s professionalism and vision when asked about their relationship.

“I relate to Ice in many ways, but I think her dedication and focus is what blew me away from the very start,” Taylor Swift told Variety. She’s extremely professional without being cold. Playful and fun without ever taking her eye off the prize. She knows what is and isn’t ‘her’ and sets those boundaries with grace. She studies the industry and other artists’ careers but is very clear about charting her own definitive, original path. It’s her ability to carefully find that balance that impresses the hell out of me.”

The diamond-selling artist enlisted Ice Spice for a remix of the song “Karma.” Taylor Swift took notice of how well-prepared Ice Spice was for the collaboration.

“Working with someone new in the studio, you immediately get a window into their creative process,” she said. “[Ice Spice] showed up with her verse not only written but had recorded and sent me a vocal pass beforehand just to make sure we were on the same page. Recording, she was quick and laser-focused, but intuitive and decisive and knew when she had it nailed.”

The original version of Taylor Swift’s “Karma” was featured on her 2022 album Midnights. The Ice Spice-assisted remix appeared on 2023’s Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition), a deluxe version of the album.

Lil Baby Concert Shooting Suspect Is Rapper Who Recorded Songs With Victim

Memphis police announced the arrest of Kevin Young, a 22-year-old man accused of shooting rapper CEO Jizzle at a Lil Baby concert. Young was charged with reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon, among other charges.

Young, who raps under the stage name Kato 2x or Kato2tymes, created music with the shooting victim. CEO Jizzle and Young’s latest collaboration “Step Brothers 2” dropped in April.

Police said Young is a “known and well-documented gang member associated with the Rich and Ruthless Gang.” He was previously arrested for first-degree murder in 2017 and aggravated assault in 2019.

Gunfire erupted at Lil Baby’s FedEx Forum show in Memphis on September 7. He was rushed off stage when shots were fired. Lil Baby reacted to the shooting on social media.

“Unfortunately I Couldn’t Perform Last Night In Memphis,” Lil Baby wrote. “Ima Make Sure Everybody Gets A Refund Tho.”

Police believed the shooting was premeditated. CEO Jizzle survived the attack.

“Ain’t no way I’ma let a f###### take me out,” he said in an Instagram Live video.

Young was apprehended at his Memphis residence on Wednesday (September 27). Two others, Truquez Boyd and Kylon Cowan, were arrested but not charged with crimes connected to the Lil Baby concert shooting.

Detectives found weapons and ammunition when they conducted a search of the residence. Authorities recovered several firearms, including Glocks and semi-automatic rifles.

Young’s bond was set at $150,000. Police did not disclose bond information for Boyd and Cowan, who were hit with drug and weapons charges.

“Barbie” Producer Reveals How Greta Gerwig Convinced Nicki Minaj To Be Part Of The Film

Barbie soundtrack producers needed Greta Gerwig to reach out to Nicki Minaj to secure the rapper’s involvement in the hit film. Producer Kevin Weaver recalled how Minaj’s soundtrack contribution came to be in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“From the very beginning, we had felt like having Nicki, who is Barbie essentially, be a part of this thing,” Weaver said. “We kind of continued to hone in on the idea of having her do the flip of ‘Barbie Girl,’ and it’s just interesting because there were many moments when she was doing it and there were a lot of moments when she wasn’t doing it and it kind of was happening and not happening. We were getting to a point where Nicki actually cut the record, and it was incredible. We knew we loved it and Greta loved it, it was cutting the end of the picture, [but] we were having a hard time getting it done.”

Barbie producers enlisted the help of Gerwig to get a commitment from Minaj. The director wrote a letter to the rap star to seal the deal.

“We went to Greta and asked Greta if she would write a letter to Nicki,” Weaver said. “And Greta wrote this beautiful note to Nicki and basically said like, ‘You are Queen Barb and when I set out to make this film, as I was thinking of artists, you were the first artist that really came to me as somebody that I felt was going to be an important collaborator and contributor to this.’ I sent that letter to Nicki and the next morning Nicki hit us back and said that she was 100 percent in.”

Minaj teamed up with Ice Spice for the single “Barbie World,” which appeared on Barbie: The Album and was featured in the film’s end credits. The song peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Soulja Boy’s Ex-Girlfriend Wants To Seize His Cars And More To Collect Lawsuit Damages

Soulja Boy’s ex-girlfriend requested help to collect money she won in a lawsuit against the rapper. According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Kayla Myers urged a judge to allow officers to take her ex-boyfriend’s property to cover a six-figure judgment.

Myers asked officers to seize Soulja Boy’s lavish vehicles, which include a Bentley and Lamborghini. She also sought jewelry and large stacks of cash he allegedly keeps in backpacks.

A California jury awarded roughly $236,000 in damages and another $236,000 in punitive damages to Myers in April. Myers sued Soulja Boy for assault, accusing him of attacking her at his Malibu home in 2019.

Soulja Boy claimed he could not pay the damages due to his alleged financial struggles. The multi-platinum-selling rapper said he owed $1 million to the IRS but revealed he was paying $25,000 per month to live in a mansion.

A judge denied Soulja Boy’s motion to throw out the punitive damages in July. The judge cited the rapper’s living situation as proof of his ability to pay Myers.

“Defendant must be earning money from somewhere sufficient to pay for the rent and whatever other monthly expenses he has,” the judge explained. “In other words, defendant is paying $300,000/year in rent alone. It stands to reason that he must have some other living expenses. And that money must come from somewhere. It is not coming from loans, for defendant did not testify as to any other debts.”

The judge added, “So, although the court does not know from whence the money is coming, it is coming from somewhere. It is not an impossible inference to conclude that his overall financial condition must be sufficient to allow him to live the lifestyle he does without going into debt.”

Soulja Boy has not responded to Myers’ latest motion. He denies her assault allegations.

Mac Dre Documentary To Be Produced By Stephen Curry’s Film Company

The late Mac Dre is about to get an alley-oop from one of the Bay Area’s biggest stars. Stephen Curry, who has ventured off of the basketball court and into entertainment spaces. Curry is reportedly gearing up to produce a documentary on the pioneering recording artist. Curry and his founding partner, Erick Peyton, will put the documentary out under their Unanimous Media production company, which they spoke about with Billboard.

“Mac Dre is a cultural icon who made a tremendous impact on the Bay Area and beyond through his music and pioneering creativity,” Peyton and Curry said. “We’re honored to work with Mac Dre’s incredible mother, Wanda, to tell her son’s life story with respect and dignity for fans, the Bay Area community, and music lovers alike.”

Many remember Mac Dre as being the key figure in the Hyphy movement before his premature death in 2004. In his brief career, he put out hit songs such as “Feelin Myself,” “Get Stupid,” and “Make You Mine,” and worked with the likes of Wiz Khalifa and Warren G.

Dre’s mother, Wanda Salvatto, made a comment about the athlete coming forward to memorialize her son, saying, “I look forward to sharing how from Andre’s dreams of rapping emerged a blueprint that not only inspired a generation but also became a guide to conquering obstacles and fulfilling their entrepreneurial dreams.”

People believe if anyone should do the doc, it should be Curry, one of the most revered athletes repping the area. Over his 13 years with the Golden State Warriors, he’s been named an All-Star eight times, was designated both Western Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP in 2022 and won four NBA championship titles.

Bill Cosby Sued Again For Allegedly Drugging & Raping Woman In 1972

Bill Cosby, 86, is being sued for drugging and raping yet another woman. According to TMZ, a new lawsuit filed by lawyers of New Mexico resident Donna Motsinger claims the comedian took advantage of her in 1972 when she was a waitress at the famous Trident restaurant in Sausalito, California.

The alleged incident took place eight years after he married his wife, Camille Cosby, whom he met while studying at the University of Maryland. Motsinger suggests his marital status was not at all at the top of the successful actor’s mind when he assaulted her. He was thinking of the plan to get her drugged so he could have non-consensual sex with her.

Motsinger claims after meeting at Trident, he took her to a show at the Circle Star Theater in San Carlos. While in his limo, she says he gave her a glass of wine and then took her to his dressing room.

The court papers contend Motsinger started to feel sick, so he offered her what she thought was an aspirin. After taking the pill, she started to slip in and out of consciousness. After some time, she was escorted back to the limo with Cosby. The last thing she claims to have remembered is a flash of light, waking up in her home with only her panties on.

As AllHipHop.com previously reported, Cosby was convicted of similar charges in 2018, which were thrown out because he made a deal with a past prosecutor. Over the last year, other women have come forth, painting him as an old-time creep or a freak, drugging and sexually assaulting women way back in the 70s.

Motsinger came forward about the alleged incident in 2014, but this is the first time she filed a lawsuit. The complaint says the former server “knew she had been drugged and raped by Bill Cosby.” Her attorneys are claiming the incident caused their client mental, emotional and physical distress— and hopes this civil claim will provide her financial relief for her injury.

Cosby’s camp released a statement regarding the lawsuit, saying, “No comment at this present time because this is utterly ridiculous and pointless.” People are clearly losing patience with him. Check out a couple of comments below.

Charlamagne Tha God Calls Colin Kaepernick’s Letter To New York Jets “Pathetic”

Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick still wants to play in the professional football league, but The Breakfast Club‘s Charlamagne Tha God has taken issue with Kap’s recent plea for a job. During Wednesday’s (September 27) “Rumor Report,” Charlamagne Tha God blasted the ex-San Francisco 49er for his letter to New York Jets General Manager Joe Douglas, which was shared by J. Cole.

“I wish that letter was never written,” he said. “That letter was tragically sad and downright pathetic. Colin Kaepernick has let his setback become his identity, and I hate that for him. It pains to see that man still begging to be in a league that he called racist and he compared to a plantation.

“And I hate that he can never speak for himself. He always got somebody else speaking for him or putting out his message for him. That’s so wack to me. I wish Colin the best in all his endeavors but just begging these same people you called racist for an opportunity is pitiful.”

The New York Jets franchise lost its starting quarterback Aaron Rogers after the 4x-Most Valuable Player went down with an apparent Achilles injury in the first game of the season. Some fans wondered if the team would sign Kaepernick for the QB position, and J. Cole co-signed the alleged blackballed athlete’s desire to return to the field.

“I asked Colin @kaepernick7 if I could share this letter with the world,” Cole shared on Instagram. “He was reluctant. My argument was that I believe the people and all organizations should know the truth about how hard he works and how much he still wants to play. And always has. In the end, he agreed to let me.

“I wish the @nyjets organization luck. My boy @bas is a big ass fan so I saw the heartbreak of every Jets fan when Arod went down @richeisen Everyone from players, to coaches, to execs are feeling the pressure I’m sure. I hope y’all can turn it around, and I hope there’s a spot out there for my boy Kap. PEACE.”

Drake’s D-Size Topic Of Recent Podcast: “The Man Gotta Missile On Him”

No Jumper host Adam22 has some purported details about Drake’s penis. Adam22 recently had a conversation about Drake’s member on “The Red Light District” episode of his show. For some reason, the 39-year-old YouTuber revealed he supposedly got a peak at a photo of the music superstar’s genitalia.

“I was around this girl and she just showed me Drake’s d### on her phone,” the man born Adam Grandmaison said. “Somehow this just randomly came up and she’s just showing me and I’m not believing it.”

Adam 22 added, “She still trying to prove it to me. She goes to the Instagram DM, shows me the f###ing full Instagram history… The man’s gotta missile on him like a baby arm.” However, Grandmaison also conceded Drake would have “plausible deniability” about the alleged picture.

Meanwhile, Drake is preparing to release his eighth studio LP in the near future. The For All the Dogs album will currently arrive on October 6. He dropped “Slime You Out” featuring SZA on September 15.

“Slime You Out” opened at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That pole position debut gave Drake the twelfth No. 1 of his career. He now trails pop culture icon Michael Jackson (13) by one chart-topper on the all-time list.

For All the Dogs will join a Drake discography that already includes 12 No. 1 projects on the Billboard 200 chart. 2016’s Views remained in the top spot for 13 weeks. 2011’s Take Care surpassed 551 total weeks on the Billboard 200.

Plies Reacts To Brittany Renner Revealing Her Body Count: “35 Ain’t That Many”

Brittany Renner had a lot of people talking after her appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, Club Shay Shay. Recording artist-turned-internet personality Plies joined the online conversation about the social media influencer. According to reports, numerous male recording artists and athletes have been involved with Renner, which she talked about on the show.

“Because my dating pool is, I mean my god, impressive…expansive? I’ve had sex with 35 guys,” stated the Basketball Wives LA cast member. That revelation left Pro Football Hall of Famer Sharpe speechless for a moment.

When asked why she publicly shared that information, Renner replied, “Probably the same reason that I wrote a book, because I feel called to share. There are some things that maybe moving forward I would keep to myself. But I mean, I just told you I had sex with 35 guys, an updated number for people who have been following the number for years now.”

Social media users then began commenting on Brittany Renner’s self-admitted body count. On Wednesday night, Plies added his own unsolicited take about the much-talked-about sex partner count.

“35 Ain’t That Many!!” Plies tweeted. “That’s Like $35 Worth Of Gas Bih!! That’s Just A 1/4 Tank Of Gas!!!! Shiiiddddd U Got A lot Left!!!!!! 35 That’s A In The Middle Number!! That Like Being 35 Years Old! U In Your Prime Bih!!!”

In addition to having thoughts about Renner’s sexual history, Plies has also been enamored with a namesake of NBA player P.J. Washington’s ex-girlfriend. For months, the “Bust It Baby (Part 2)” performer’s Instagram account has been an unofficial shrine to Pop legend Britney Spears.

Timbaland & Pharrell Fight To Give Each Other Flowers Over Who Has Best Jay-Z Hits

When two super producers like Pharrell and Timbaland come together, lively debate over their respective catalogs is virtually guaranteed, but a recent discussion about Jay-Z hits resulted in an unexpected outcome.

The duo recently got into a high-spirited dispute after joining fellow producing legend Swizz Beatz to celebrate his birthday at a gathering in France. However, when the pair began arguing over who has the better Jay-Z collabs, they were not fighting for themselves but instead trying to credit each other.

“‘Dirt Off Your Shoulder’!” Pharrell declared, citing Hov’s Timbo-produced 2003 Black Album cut. “What are we doing?”

Timbaland didn’t have an immediate response, replying, “I gotta think about you, because you’ve done so many.”

Skateboard P fired back, “You know why you stuck? You’ve done so many classics that you’re just going through your Rolodex right now!”

Timbaland insisted it was the other way around, adding, “No! I’m going through your Rolodex! It’s so many!”

But Pharrell maintained Timbaland has “the greatest Jay-Z records,” before branding his fellow Virginia native “Timbo the king.”

Despite other Hip-Hop heads listening to the debate, including Lil Durk alongside Swizz Beatz and his wife, Alicia Keys, nobody intervened, leaving the duo to go at it.

Nonetheless Timbaland inadvertently ended the debate when he declared Pharrell “the prince” of Jay-Z cuts.

“Hey! You heard what he said. He said prince, because he’s the king,” the Neptunes member said, concluding the discussion.

Swizz Beatz shared a clip of the debate, calling their exchange one of the “highlights” of his birthday and “a true Hip Hop 50th moment.” Watch the clip below.

DaBaby Dons Lace Front Wig For New Self-Directed Music Video: “Can I Get Some Baby Hair?”

DaBaby has a newfound level of empathy for women who wear hairpieces after donning a lace front wig to film a new music video.

The “Suge” hitmaker decided to drastically change his look for the visuals, but it wasn’t easy. In a video shared on Instagram Wednesday (September 27), DaBaby winced and whinged as the hairstylists worked on him, complaining that the heat from the flat irons was too much for him.

Nonetheless, DaBaby suffered patiently while getting his wig styled, at one point even asking for some extra details.

“I don’t know how y’all do this,” he declared before jokingly asking, “Can I get some baby hair?”

He took to the caption to tease the visuals, which arrive Friday (September 29) alongside a “new movie” directed by DaBaby himself.

“I went THROUGH IT yesterday!” He added, “Ion know how the bad b*tches do it! y’all the truth!”

Whatever look he was going for, fans couldn’t help but point out a very obvious comparison. Fans in the comments section were quick to point out that DaBaby, with his long locks and bright green shirt, bear a striking resemblance to Andre 3000 in Outkast’s “Hey Ya,” visuals.

“Quick feet good release and u stacked the DB,” Sanders replied on the post. “We know you’re a Dogg so You got a offer to play At COLORADO. Let’s go Baby.”

Snoop Dogg Backs Nia Long After Actress Calls Out Celtics And Names Ime Udoka’s Alleged Mistress

Nia Long has called out her ex-fiancé Ime Udoka’s alleged mistress Kathleen Lynch, and the NBA coach’s former team, the Boston Celtics.

The Boyz n the Hood actor received overwhelming support from fellow celebs, including Snoop Dogg, after naming Lynch by name for the first time, shading her and the NBA coach’s former team over the cheating scandal in an Instagram post on Tuesday (September 26).

“Y’all don’t respond to Black women crying the same way,” Dr. Blay notes.

Nia Long addressed the Celtics in the caption, questioning the lack of awareness following Ime’s infidelity controversy.

“Where was this level of awareness a year ago @celtics ???” she asked before adding, “ #kathleenlynch.”

Long also expressed her gratitude to Dr. Blay in the comments section. “Thank you @yabablay for your fearlessness and speaking facts for all of us,” she wrote. “This is such an important conversation that needs to be heard and understood.”

News of Udoka’s affair broke in September last year after it was reported the Boston Celtics coach had an improper relationship with a team employee. Although the team suspended Udoka, Nia Long claims nobody from the Celtics reached out to her to check she was doing okay in the wake of the very public scandal.

During a December interview with The Hollywood Reporter Long explained her heartbreak at seeing her son’s face “when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public.”

She added, “If you’re in the business of protecting women — I’m sorry, no one from the Celtics organization has even called to see if I’m OK, to see if my children are OK. It’s very disappointing.”

Despite his desire to provide for his children’s futures, Boosie is unwilling to compromise his staunch views on homosexuality and gender identity to make a buck.

“I’ve been offered a quarter-million to go to perform at LGBT community things,” he explained elsewhere during the interview. “Big money. I told them I have nothing against it at all, but that’s not what I push and that’s not what I believe in.”
