A sequel for I Am Legend starring Will Smith is in the works, nearly 15 years on from the $585 million blockbuster that hit the big screen in 2007.
The movie’s original star Will Smith, will return as Dr. Robert Neville. He will also take on the duty of producer in the upcoming sequel.
Black Panther and Creed star Michael B. Jordan, joins Smith. His role is yet to be revealed but he’s also reportedly producing the project alongside Will Smith.
Wait. Didn’t Will Smith Die in ‘I Am Legend?’
Fans may be confused about Will Smith reprising his role, seeing as he died during the original. However, Akiva Goldsman, who returns as writer after adapting the 1954 Richard Matheson novel, said Matheson’s book features an alternate ending not included in the first film.
“This will start a few decades later than the first,” he explained in a statement, as per Deadline. “I’m obsessed with The Last of Us, where we see the world just post-apocalypse but also after a 20-30-year lapse. You see how the earth reclaims the world, and there’s something beautiful in the question of, as man steps away from being the primary tenant, what happens? That will be especially visual in New York. I don’t know if they’ll climb up to the empire state building, but the possibilities are endless.”
Goldsman added, “We trace back to the original Matheson book, and the alternate ending as opposed to the released ending in the original film. What Matheson was talking about was that man’s time on the planet as the dominant species had come to an end. That’s a really interesting thing we’re going to get to explore. There will be a little more fidelity to the original text.”
Meanwhile, in other Will Smith news, the 54-year-old actor and his Bad Boys co-star Martin Lawrence recently announced that they were reuniting for a fourth installment of the popular series.
The NYC hitmaker and the City Girl spent a day firing shots at each other online after Cardi felt slighted that JT left her out of a “Tomorrow 2” congratulatory tweet aimed at Cardi’s collaborator GloRilla.
They exchanged insults on social media before Nicki Minaj entered the fray, opting to change her Twitter avi to a JT pic. Cardi B seemingly responded by switching her profile image to one of Nicki’s own nemesis, Remy Ma.
“I ain’t even do nothing,” Remy Ma replied when the topic came up during her recent interview with Jason Lee. She denied it was a sub stating, “I ain’t catch a stray, hold up, be clear.” However, she kept her eyes peeled for any reactions to the move.
“I was at home like this,” she explained, sipping on her drink to indicate her reaction. “Waiting with my notifications on.”
While Remy Ma was unbothered, some of her followers were heated. They sent messages urging her to have Cardi B change her photo and accusing the rapper of “impersonation.”
Remy Ma Says She’s Been Cool With Cardi B “For Years”
Nonetheless, Remy insisted, “I don’t care. At all.” She later added, “I f### with Cardi,” stating she has done “for years.” Jason Lee reminded Remy that they all used to have a group chat. “You got to get that group chat back,” she stated. Check out the clip below and watch the interview at the end of the page. Hitman Holla joined Remy Ma to discuss her upcoming Chrome 23 Anniversary event.
Cardi B kept the Remy Ma photo until very recently, only changing it early this month. She replaced the pic with one of You star Penn Badgley after making an appearance of sorts in the show she loves so much. The superfan’s song “I Like It,” featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin, appeared in the first episode of season 4.
T-Pain listened to his fans and is finally delivering a highly anticipated new project of cover songs featuring tracks from multiple genres.
While he is known as the king of autotune, T-Pain proved he sings with the best of them during his pared-down Tiny Desk concert nearly a decade ago.
He first hinted at the project on social media earlier this week. “Anything that T-Pain covers or remixes is always so hard,’ tweeted a fan. The two-time Grammy Award winner replied, “Buckle up cause I got an announcement coming tomorrow.”
“You’ve been asking for it and here ya go bro,” he penned on Instagram alongside the album cover art. “A T-Pain cover album to end all cover albums…..from T-Pain. “On Top Of The Covers” dropping March 17th alongside an intimate set of shows. More on that later tho 👀 … so stay tuned for more updates.”
Under the Covers will include renditions of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come,” Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life,” Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show’s “Sharing The Night Together,” and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin.’”
In a statement, T-Pain promised to use his “natural voice,” which will be “front and centre” of the project.
“This covers album has been years in the making. I started recording this right after I won The Masked Singer (in 2019),” he revealed. “It got put on hold for a bit but now that I’m independent, I’m able to do whatever I want to do through (label) Nappy Boy Entertainment and this is something I’ve felt strongly about for a long time.”
In addition, to support his first offering since 2019’s 1UP, T-Pain will perform two back-to-back concerts in Los Angeles on Mar. 17-18.
“LOS ANGELES!!!! Hold on to your Jheri curls,” the rapper/singer warned while sharing the event poster.
Before giving birth, Rihanna warned, “I’m going to be psycho,” as a parent, promising to be a fiercely protective mother, especially concerning shielding her child from the public.
After welcoming their son last year, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have kept a relatively low profile, and fans don’t know much about their baby, including his name, save for what the family has shared.
The first glimpse of the baby last December came as a surprise to fans. Rihanna joined TikTok to share a cute video of the little one giggling in his car seat. The couple also shared a few images with the public via Hollywood Unlocked.
The new family shared their first official photo shoot with the world on Wednesday (Feb. 15), covering British Vogue. However, in the accompanying interview, Rihanna revealed an unauthorized paparazzi snap taken during that shoot forced the couple to unveil their baby before the unofficial pics did.
She recalled her horror after realizing a photographer had snapped them from afar during the shoot on a Malibu beach.
“It’s the thing you never want to happen,” Rihanna admitted. “We get to decide as parents when and how we do that. End of story.”
While she’s not crazy about the paparazzi, the star of last weekend’s Super Bowl Halftime Show has come to terms with them. However, when it comes to their son, A$AP Rocky and Rihanna insist their son is off limits.
“Throw me to the wolves. Do what you want with me. But he doesn’t have a say in any of this,” Rihanna declared. “We’ve been protecting him thus far and you don’t have any consent to be posting photos or selling photos of my child, a minor. Get the hell out of here with that.”
The superstar couple moved fast once they realized the photos would soon be public.
“I just went straight into protective mode,” Rihanna recalled. “Like there wasn’t even time for rage. [Rocky and me] drove up to the trailer area and we sat in the car chatting and working out how we move forward. As parents it just feels so icky, like a violation.”
They ultimately decided to share a few images from her camera roll. “As we were speaking, we knew they were making calls and deals,” she added.
I promise this is not a loaded question. It is a question and I would like the answer. First of all, I do not know what the answer is and I do not have a speculative answer either. I simply seek understanding. So, here is the deal. Pusha T hit the New York Fashion Week scene in a most major way. King Push, Whoopi Goldberg, Queen Latifah, Lil Nas X, and others attended the Thom Browne show!
So, of course the internet went into hysterics over the fact that our neighborhood Pusha has a doggie pocketbook. I think it’s OK for folks to have questions, just off the strength of being fans for like 20 years or more. And then there was another picture that is also in circulation.

And this is the one where I was just wondering. the socks match but are on the opposite legs. I am just wondering why…how…what? You know, just how did this come about? I must say, I am very ignorant to this sort of world and so I want to know what is the deal here. Do you know? Hit me in the comments and that’s where I’ll be!
Yesterday was the day of love all over the world! We celebrated Valentine’s Day in a myriad of ways! Some people posted their loves and the people in their lives that they adore. Others posted self love affirmations. Others still simply ignored the pagan holiday with no roots in anything other than a masscre that happened on February 14 way before all pf air times. That said, one of our favors guys, NLE Choppa did a wild departure from the standard fare. He made Lil Wayne his Hip-Hop Valentine.
I am not suggesting anything weird, but it is a bit weird. Until you read the letter that Choppa wrote Wayne.
“Dear Wayne, I simply wanted to physically gift you these flowers to symbolize my appreciation for you as an artist, icon and more importantly an inspiration. Growing up I had 3 favorites – Kobe, 2pac and the one and only Dwayne Carter!! I pray this is just the beginning to a big brother, lil brother relationship. With that being said I want to say THANK YOU, whole heartedly. Awards couldn’t even amount to how many lives you have changed and inspired. I am proud to be a part of both. Forever grateful.”
He also gave Wayne a couple dozen or so red roses.
Wayne responded to his baby bro after being given the flowers and skateboard.
“I appreciate that. This is my life right here. For real, for real. Whatever cameras, if y’all watching – be like this guy, man. Be like this guy. He’s a good guy, man. For real. I do this a lot. I’m on video sets a lot – new artists, old artists. This doesn’t happen. This doesn’t happen. He’s a great guy,” Wheezy said.
The music superstar famously turned down a past offer to perform at the Super Bowl out of solidarity with Colin Kaepernick. A few years later, Rihanna decided the positives of performing at the NFL’s biggest game outweighed the negatives.
“There’s still a lot of mending to be done in my eyes,” she said. “But it’s powerful to break those doors, and have representation at such a high, high level and a consistent level.”
Rihanna referred to Dr. Dre’s set in 2022, adding, “Two Super Bowls back-to-back, you know, representing the urban community, globally. It is powerful. It sends a really strong message.”
The Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show marked Rihanna’s first live performance in years. Viewers were surprised to see her hit the stage with a baby bump. Her reps confirmed she was pregnant with her second child.
Rihanna’s pregnancy made it seem unlikely she will drop a new album any time soon. At one point, the Barbadian singer aimed to release her follow-up to 2016’s Anti in 2023.
“I want it to be this year,” she said. “Like, honestly, it’d be ridiculous if it’s not this year. But I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos.”
Lil Yachty realized why he surprised a lot of listeners with the release of his rock albumLet’s Start Here.
The Quality Control Music artist considered how music fans viewed him in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. Lil Yachty said he understood why some people thought he didn’t take music seriously based on his earlier work.
“I know that people don’t really understand how much I love music and how much it’s my life,” he told Lowe. “And I get it from some of the songs that I may have made early in my career that may seem like otherwise. And the majority of these artists coming out don’t care about music. It’s just for fun or money or TikTok blow-up. So, it’s easy to box in.”
Lil Yachty explained how the creation of Let’s Start Here was transformative for him. The 25-year-old rapper took inspiration from Pink Floyd and made an album vastly different from past projects.
“I learned so much making this album … I took a completely different approach with this album than I ever did in the process of creating something,” he said. “And I’ve grown so much and I’ve changed so much as an adult in this process. So, it all plays a factor and it all shows in this album.”
Lil Yachty’s Let’s Start Here debuted at No. 1 on three Billboard rock charts. It was his first project to reach the top of any Billboard album chart.
Management for Machine Gun Kelly’s guitarist Sophie Lloyd responded to speculation about him cheating on Megan Fox with his bandmate.
Social media dragged Lloyd’s name into the relationship drama after Fox hinted at a split with Machine Gun Kelly. An Instagram user suggested MGK “probably got with Sophie” in a comment on Fox’s last post before she deleted her account on Sunday (February 12).
“Maybe I got with Sophie,” Fox fired back.
Lloyd is in a relationship with drummer Christopher Painter. Lloyd’s management team spoke out on her behalf, issuing a statement about the Machine Gun Kelly rumors on Wednesday (February 15).
“Sophie Lloyd is a professional, accomplished musician who has been needlessly dragged into the media based off of meritless accusations made by social media,” her management told Page Six. “Any suggestion that she has ever acted in an unprofessional manner or stepped out of her relationship are untrue. It’s disrespectful to her as a female artist and poor journalism and social commentary to be reporting anything else.”
Machine Gun Kelly and Fox began dating in 2020. The couple got engaged in 2022.
According to PEOPLE, the two haven’t called off their engagement. The Daily Mail spotted the rapper-turned-rocker and Fox at a marriage counseling office on Monday (February 13).
Two of Young Thug’s co-defendants may face trial at a later date if prosecutors get their way.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the prosecution filed a motion to sever Kahlieff Adams and Tenquarius Mender from Young Thug’s RICO trial. Prosecutors made the request because Adams and Mender’s attorneys are pregnant.
Prosecutors claimed Adams and Mender’s lawyers have “impending and imminent personal leave of absence” ahead of Young Thug’s trial, which will last six to nine months. Adams and Mender’s attorneys rejected the notion they can’t represent their clients while pregnant.
“I don’t think pregnancy should be treated as a disease or a disability,” Mender’s lawyer Nicole Fegan told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “If Rihanna can do it, I’m sure that we can both adequately represent our clients.”
Fegan tried to sever her client from Young Thug’s case in 2022, but her motion was denied. Now, the attorney objected to the state trying her client separately.
“I think at this point, trying them separately would be expensive and potentially prejudicial because the jury selection process has already started,” Fegan contended. “We’ve been on this case since May, and in May I wasn’t pregnant.”
Prosecutors said Adams and Mender weren’t interested in finding new lawyers. The motion won’t be heard until Tuesday (February 21) at the earliest.
Young Thug and 13 co-defendants face trial in a sweeping RICO case against YSL members. Jury selection is ongoing and expected to take months.
Prosecutors have filed a motion to sever two #YSL defendants from the trial. It might be next week when Judge Glanville will take up this motion and decide whether to grant it or not. #YoungThug@ajcpic.twitter.com/gy5exXtjGQ
Who doesn’t love the Super Bowl? We know we do, and so do our favorite Hollywood stars. Billionaire Michael Rubin celebrated the Super Bowl in a star-studded party with all of our favorite celebrities present, such as Drake, Jay Z, and Paul Rudd. The man never disappoints, and his parties consistently exceed the visitor’s expectations.
The annual luncheon took place on Friday before the big game in Arizona. Celebrity photographer and owner of Team Elite Photography, Dante Hillmedo, was also there to capture the event’s highlights and provide exclusive entertainment content. The entire event has been caught like a beautiful movie starting from the entrances to the arrivals, the beautiful venue, and the celebrities meeting up. It looked like a party straight from our dreams!
Dante, a resident of the Bronx, has previously been hired to capture many of the most elite gatherings in show business. Prominent figures in the entertainment industry, like Drake, Jay Z, Michael Rubin, Mariah Carey, and many others, can be seen on Dante’s social media handles, such as Instagram. He is a master of art and has successfully covered each event with excellent filmmaking. I think it’s why Dante is continuously booked and busy—the way he records these films gives you the impression of being genuinely present and a participant in the event. You feel like you were there and experience the glam through your screen.
The slogan of his website is “producing content that inspires emotion,” and we are 100% sure to say with certainty that he’s living up to that promise, particularly since his highlights of Michael Rubin’s glitzy All-White Fourth of July Event, which has over a million likes and views on Instagram. The clips of his coverage of DJ Khaled’s album release party for “GOD DID” were posted on Instagram by the artist himself. On the social networking website, the video has amassed more than 300,000 views and is still expanding. He does have a strong portfolio, having worked for VH1, Roc Nation, and Reform alongside covering the VMAs for Essence Magazine.
He presently films music videos, advertisements, highlight videos, talks, and other things, but in the upcoming year, he plans to focus on the worlds of significant movies and television. In previous interviews, he mentioned that he has two movies that will shortly begin filming: one is a psychological thriller, and the second is a teen romance. Many of his admirers and supporters will agree, and we are also excited to learn what that will involve.
One of Dante’s objectives is to ultimately establish his run production company, following in the footsteps of successful names like Tyler Perry, who is an excellent inspiration for Dante. He cited Tyler Perry as an important influence for leveraging one’s talent to create a business. Dante is heavily inspired by Mr. Perry and wants to follow in his footsteps to grow upward and onwards.
If he follows this route and keeps delivering as he has, his goal will undoubtedly come true quicker than he anticipates. He has created a vast number of high-caliber works in addition to being one of the filmmakers with the highest rate of growth.
Everyone who has worked with Dante has only had positive things to say about him and has continued to do so. As an aspiring filmmaker, you can also enroll in his masterclass to learn from the best of the best. The way he covered Michael Rubin’s event was phenomenal, and you can visit his website for more information.

Did Gunna get run out of the mall in Atlanta? It looks like Young Thug’s influence is swelling even more now that he is behind bars. The YSL honcho is awaiting trial and one of his main codefendants and Homies is in the free world. Gunna is not going to be able to walk around freely for very long if ever. The way I see it, he’s going to have a long march a head, and may very well be in his own version of prison.
According to several reports, he was walking through a mall with security masked up and, I guess, was doing a bit of shopping. As they generated more and more attention, a crowd formed and they began to scream obscenities at them. Mostly calling him a rat and a snitch. But as things begin to devolve more, it appeared that it might turn violent.
Thankfully, nothing happened but you can see where the energy is going. Gunna is not going to be able to go anywhere without security for an extremely long time. I am sure he he had security before, but I think he’s going to needs more presidential-types around him. How is he going to live? At any rate, he’s out in the world and I’m assuming trying to figure out what he’s going to do with his life.
Take a look at this and tell me what you think.
Gunna seemingly laughed it off. Not sure what’s funny, but I guess he has money and freedom.

Asking someone to be your Valentine always presents a chance that you might just get turned down.
Just ask Lil Durk, who posted on Instagram Story on Tuesday, Feb. 14, a sweet note to his former fiancée, “Happy Valentine’s Day to the wonderful woman that made me a man. I love you @indiaroyale.”
The Drill rap pioneer added “I Won” by Future as a soundtrack to celebrate the beauty.
In a series of tweets that have since been removed, she seemed to have responded by saying, “People really do not respect boundaries at all. I try my best to be respectful and not put on a show but people don’t respect my choices,” and three words that said it all, “Let it go.”
Later on, possibly believing the subliminal tweets were about him, he returned to IG Stories and wrote, “I post cause I wanted to the internet don’t run Druk try the troll with another mfr leave certain people alone.”
As if to wave a white flag … or at least keeping it cute … India returned to Twitter with her own message. This time, the message was a little less shady. She simply wrote, “Happy Love Day” followed by a heart emoji.
All kinds of organizations are celebrating Black History Month and the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop with interesting programming.
One organization Genes and Gems, founded by two besties who met in college, is interested in helping artists trace their family trees back generations, and are embarking on a historic journey to link people back to their ancestors. Natlee Green from the Bronx and Keasha Williams from Queens have made it their mission to help others chart their genealogy.
They are currently working with 50 Hip-Hop artists, ranging from producers to rappers to dancers and more, to trace their roots.
A whole host of artists are set to discover their kin. Some of the names they’ve worked with already are Killer Mike, Black Thought (The Roots), Lord Jamar and Sadat X (Brand Nubian), Rah Digga, and Havoc (Mobb Deep).
Atlanta’s own Killer Mike has reached back all the way to the early 1800s and discovered multiple family lines through the use of “census records, vital records, conversations with historians, obituaries, DNA, and more.”
According to the release, Lord Jamar discovered his cousin (2x removed) was Thurgood Marshall, the first African American to serve as a Supreme Court Justice.
One of their most recent episodes looks at Havoc from Mobb Deep and helped him learn some of the greatness connected to those who came before him.
Ice-T has lived many lives as a criminal, gang affiliate, pioneering gangsta rapper, seasoned actor and dedicated family man. Needless to say, he’s accumulated a wealth of knowledge along the way. Earlier this week, Ice-T launched a new podcast with iHeart Media, the aptly titled Ice-T’s Daily Game. In each five to seven-minute episode, Ice-T shares a motivational quote he finds inspiring and has helped him through the “game of life.”
The first episode serves as a brief introduction, while the second episode, “Ice Cold Character,” focuses on gossip. The quote is: “Your character will outweigh any lie told about you. Those who know you, know you.” From there, Ice-T breaks down what the quote means to him while relating it to his own personal experiences.
The podcast is a long time coming. Ice-T has been doling out little nuggets of wisdom on his social media page for years he dubs “Ice Cold Facts.” For example, he tweeted on February 9, “When it comes to the point where you have to do stupid s### and stunts to say in the game, it’s a Wrap. Don’t go out like that.” Another one reads: “Your biggest fan is a stranger. Your biggest hater is someone you know.”
Ice-T’s page is swarming with things he’s learned over the last 40 years plus. The Daily Game podcast is the perfect platform for him to spread his keys to a life well-lived.
The Grammy Award-winning musician will receive his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday (February 17). Chuck D, fellow Law & Order: Special Victims Unit cast member Mariska Hargitay and producer Dick Wolf will be on deck to present. In the meantime, find Ice-T’s new podcast venture here.
Yet another documentary about Kanye “Ye” West is in the works. The United Kingdom’s national broadcaster, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), will produce a feature tentatively titled We Need to Talk About Kanye.
According to Deadline, investigative journalist Mobeen Azhar is the person behind the forthcoming Kanye West doc for BBC. Azhar previously worked on The Battle for Britney: Fans, Cash and a Conservatorship in 2021.
We Need to Talk About Kanye will explore West’s journey to becoming one of the most famous entertainers of all time. In addition, an eight-part The Kanye Story podcast series will accompany the documentary.
The main conversation about Kanye West has changed substantially over the last several decades. Many of his fans went from viewing the 24-time Grammy winner as a musical genius to viewing him as a hate-mongering antisemite.
Directors Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozah released the Kanye West documentary jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy in 2022. The Netflix-distributed jeen-yuhs earned an Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series nomination at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards.
DJ Akademiks is one of the most polarizing media figures in Hip Hop history. His fans strongly support the YouTuber, but his critics see him as cancer in the culture. Vic Mensa was one of Ak’s most vocal detractors.
In 2017, Vic Mensa appeared on the Everyday Struggle digital show hosted by DJ Akademiks and Joe Budden. The conversation got heated when Mensa confronted Ak over his controversial War in Chiraq, a satirical YouTube series about street violence in Chicago.
“I wanted to slap you in your face, honestly,” Mensa told DJ Akademiks in response to a question about the Chicago Drill movement’s connection to actual deaths. “People exactly like you sensationalized and made a following off of clowning situations that we go through in real life.”
The Roc Nation recording artist added, “I think n##### ain’t have no right. You specifically, you ain’t never have a right. Whatever made you feel like you had a space to have a perspective on our people dying on a daily basis?”
Vic Mensa Discusses Feeling Conflicted About Chicago Drill
Fast forward six years, Paper interviewed Vic Mensa about his career, battling addiction, the music scene in Ghana, and more. The outlet’s Q&A with Mensa included him addressing that tense moment with DJ Akademiks on the Everyday Struggle set.
“The Drill movement was always conflicting for me. While I loved the artistic expression in the music, I also had a front-row seat to the real-life accompaniment to that music. Friends of mine were killed in the midst of Drill rap beef and all that s###,” explained Mensa.
He continued, “That was why I got into it with Akademiks, because a kid that I grew up with and went to karate with when we were five years old ended up being a street n####, gang banging, et cetera. He was also a very talented rapper. When he got killed, there was music involved, there were big Drill artists involved, and I heard about it on Akademiks’ parasitic platform. So that’s why I was upset.”
Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe caught up with Lil Yachty to discuss his latest LP. The conversation included the Quality Control Music recording artist admitting to reading negative reactions about his Let’s Start Here.
“I’m just interested in what people think. And I don’t do anything. I sit at the house all day. I swear, I don’t do s###,” stated Yachty. “And I’m just curious. It doesn’t affect me. It doesn’t hurt me at all. Hate, I respect it because everyone’s entitled to their own opinion.”
Let’s Start Here debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 weekly chart with 36,000 first-week units. The 14-track collection became Lil Yachty’s third Top 10 entry following 2017’s Teenage Emotions and 2018’s Lil Boat 2.
Yachty also spoke to Zane Lowe about the reasoning behind the Let’s Start Here title. The 25-year-old Georgia native explained the album’s name reflected his feelings about the current direction of his music career.
“I changed the name like eight times. And I settled with Let’s Start Here because I just felt like it was the beginning of the second chapter in my career,” stated Lil Yachty. “And I don’t know what’s next. But I just felt like… and I’ve had such a long career. It’s been about almost seven years in March, I think.”
He continued, “And I’ve dealt with so much and I’ve been through so much in just trying to figure out my artistry and just myself as a person. I was a kid, I graduated high school and then six months later this life started. I was just a kid going through life. So I was just looking at it like my second chapter in my career. So I settled with Let’s Start Here.”
Usher Raymond IV became a trending topic on social media this week after users debated whether the R&B legend has enough mainstream hits to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
With fifty-two entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Usher likely has the catalog to carry a Super Bowl set. It appears the Atlanta-bred vocalist is looking to add another song to his career Hot 100 total.
This week saw Usher preview an upcoming music video for a track titled “GLU.” A Valentine’s Day post on Instagram included the 44-year-old performer teasing Lori Harvey as the star of the visuals.
Lori Harvey also shared a snippet of “GLU” on her own Instagram page. The 26-year-old model/socialite previously appeared in Teyana Taylor’s “Issues/Hold On” music video in 2019.
Celebrity blogs have kept Lori Harvey in the headlines in recent weeks. Her relationship with Snowfall actor Damson Idris became gossip fodder following Harvey’s breakup with Creed actor Michael B. Jordan.

As far as Usher, the 8-time Grammy winner has not released a solo studio LP since 2016’s Hard II Love. His album discography contains the chart-topping Confessions, Here I Stand, Raymond v. Raymond, and Looking 4 Myself. He also teamed with music producer Zaytoven for the A collaborative project.
The Recording Industry Association of America certified Usher’s Confessions as Diamond (10 million units). In addition, the RCA Records-backed musician has nine Number Ones and eighteen Top 10 records on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Rihanna headlined the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show on Sunday. Now that the global megastar’s internet-breaking moment has passed, Timbaland is already suggesting Kanye “Ye” West for a future show.
Timbaland took to his Instagram Story to offer his controversial choice for a future Super Bowl performance. The legendary music producer even compared a potential Ye set to a historic television special from 1983.
“Yo, I was thinking. If Kanye was to do the Super Bowl, that almost would be like watching Motown 25 ’cause that boy is serious. Don’t you ever forget it,” said Timbaland in the Instagram video shared on Tuesday.
The 50-year-old Tim’s Bio: Life from da Bassment album creator also wrote in the IG clip’s caption, “Dat boy Ye doing the Super Bowl 😱😱😱😱😱😱. They wouldn’t be ready.”
Timbaland’s personal pick for a possible Super Bowl Halftime Show performer comes after Kanye West offended many members of the Jewish community. Ye recently went on a weeks-long antisemitic tirade.
Several social media apps temporarily suspended West on their respective platforms following the antisemitic rants. Plus, the “Heartless” hitmaker lost numerous business deals including partnerships with Adidas and Gap.
While Kanye West’s antisemitism may prevent the NFL from booking him for Super Bowl LVIII in Nevada, Rihanna greatly benefited from her Super Bowl LVII performance. The Barbadian singer’s music saw significant increases in streams on Apple Music around the world.
