Baby Tate Disses Hitmaka On “Pu$$y R@pp3r” Track

Chicago-bred music producer Hitmaka caused a firestorm after making comments about contemporary female rappers. Atlanta’s Baby Tate is the latest person to fire back at Hitmaka.

“Can’t wait to work with a pretty female rapper that’s strictly about bars to even the playing field. P#### rap was cool when it had shock value and was rare,” tweeted Hitmaka on Sunday.

The Look What You Made Me album creator continued, “Now it’s like every girl taking it there. It’s [some] who aren’t but they need a hit producer [for] impact.”

In response to receiving some resistance to his take from other social media users, Hitmaka later tweeted, “The conversation has started and that’s all that matters.”

After the latest conversation about so-called “p#### rap” began, Baby Tate decided to share her thoughts on the matter. The daughter of Soul singer Dionne Farris dropped “Pu$$y R@pp3r” which features some bars directed at Hitmaka.

Baby Tate Says Hitmaka Hasn’t Been Hot Since 2007

“N#### just said the female bars so wack. Ain’t you writing ’em? Wonder why these hoes’ heads be so gassed up. Boy, ain’t you hyping ’em?” raps Baby Tate. “‘Why this s### so dead?’ Damn! You couldn’t put no life in ’em? He a man writing about a p####, I knew he had a little d### in him.”

She also spits, “Lil wack n####. How dare you?! Maka hit for yourself. Ain’t been hot since Mim’s ‘Hot’Love & Hip Hop ain’t help.” Baby Tate also questioned why Hitmaka criticizes female rappers using sexual lyrics went he released a song titled “Thot Box.”

Hitmaka’s “Thot Box (Remix)” from 2019 featured female rappers Young M.A, Dreezy, DreamDoll, Mulatto, and Chinese Kitty. The original “Thot Box” arrived with contributions by Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Tyga, and YBN Nahmir.

Plus, Baby Tate posted on Twitter, “As I said it’s no beef! The call was for a ‘pretty female rapper strictly about bars’ and instead of being a dick rider and a pick-me, I decided to bar Mr. Hitmaka up. There are plenty of GORGEOUS rappers with a plethora of topics & a slew of bars. U just have to open [your] eyes 💖.”

Asian Doll Also Calls Out Hitmaka

Baby Tate was not the only person to publicly respond to Hitmaka’s “p#### rap” remarks. Dallas-raised rapper Asian Doll also blasted the “Sexy Lady” performer formerly known as Yung Berg.

“I feel like why do n##### always [worry about] what female rappers rap about? N##### been rapping bout the same thing since rap was invented,” tweeted Asian Doll (aka Asian Da Brat) on Monday.

The outspoken Texan continued, “Ladies rap for the ladies not for you n##### and we running s### [right now] so let us be US 💯 even [though] I don’t only rap about my p#### still [shut the f### up].”

Three years ago, “WAP” hitmaker Cardi B responded to Jermaine Dupri after the So So Def label founder complained about “stripper rap” supposedly taking over the female Hip Hop space. Cardi shouted out Rapsody, Tierra Whack, Kamaiyah, and Chika as women who make rap music about various topics besides just sex.

Rick Ross To Make His Return To ‘AEW: Dynamite’

“Accusations! False accusations!” yelled Rick Ross on the November 2nd episode of AEW: Dynamite. The veteran rapper showed up on the wrestling program for a segment with AEW stars Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland.

That clip of Rick Ross, Keith Lee, and Swerve Strickland on Dynamite went viral. The interaction between the Richer Than I Ever Been album creator and the former AEW Tag Team Champions became a reaction meme on social media.

Rick Ross is set to make his return to Dynamite this week. AEW announced the Miami native will appear on tonight’s live show once again alongside Lee and Strickland. Ross will serve as the mediator for a meeting taking place between the fractured duo.

While Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland were able to capture tag team gold back in July, they lost the belts to The Acclaimed in September. The tandem, collectively known as Swerve In Our Glory, has had issues staying on the same page in their matches.

AEW Has Embraced Hip Hop Culture

Rick Ross is one of the many Hip Hop figures to make a cameo on All Elite Wrestling programming. Snoop Dogg, Kevin Gates, Westside Gunn, Action Bronson, Trina, DJ Whoo Kid, and others have popped up in AEW since the company’s inception in 2019.

Shad “Bow Wow” Moss is also currently engaged in a feud with AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill. The “Shortie Like Mine” hitmaker and the undefeated champ went back and forth on social media before the two adversaries had a face-to-face confrontation backstage at Bow Wow’s concert.

Tonight’s “Holiday Bash” edition of AEW: Dynamite also features a stacked lineup of wrestling action. AEW World Trios Champions Death Triangle enter Match 5 of their Best of Seven Series against former champions The Elite with a 3-1 lead.

Plus, AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter defends the title against former champion Hikaru Shida. AAA World Tag Team Champions/IWGP Tag Team Champions FTR face off against The Gunns in a non-title bout. AEW: Dynamite airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on TBS.

Joe Budden Apologizes To Megan Thee Stallion

Tory Lanez’s assault/firearm trial in California has captured the attention of Hip Hop fans around the world. Many people, including podcaster Joe Budden, have shared their opinion on what has played out in the courtroom so far.

Houston-bred rapper Megan Thee Stallion accused Tory Lanez (born Daystar Peterson) of shooting her in the feet back in July 2020. The ongoing trial produced several different accounts of what allegedly took place that night.

Joe Budden has used his self-titled podcast to essentially take Tory Lanez’s side in the legal conflict. Last week, Budden vehemently expressed his dislike for Megan Thee Stallion which caused some listeners to take issue with his blatantly biased stance.

Additionally, online critics called out Budden for minimizing the fact that someone injured Megan Thee Stallion. For example, Set It Off actress Vivica A. Fox slammed Budden on her Cocktails with Queens talk show.

The December 21st episode of The Joe Budden Podcast includes a segment where Budden offered an apology to Megan Thee Stallion. The public mea culpa came after negative reactions directed at Budden flooded social media for days.

Joe Budden Expresses Concern About Megan Thee Stallion’s Mental Health

“I’m apologizing to Meg,” said Joe Budden. “Meg, the people that love her, her handlers, her team, the people that have to support her through what has to be an exhausting trial. I listened back. I got a few phone calls from women that I love and appreciate and admire.”

The 42-year-old retired emcee added, “I’m apologizing for the careless manner in which I joked about her mental health. That didn’t sit right with my soul and my spirit… That’s not funny because whether you believe her or don’t believe her, can you afford to be wrong? And the answer’s no.”

Joe Budden went on to say he would not feel right if Megan Thee Stallion harmed herself because of the “pile-on” and “hate train” taking place on social media. He also apologized to his female listeners for his comments.

“That part was very tough for me to listen to. I almost couldn’t sleep. What if something happens to her?” asked Joe Budden. The former Love & Hip Hop: New York cast member also stated he does not believe Megan Thee Stallion is the only person lying about the violent incident supposedly involving Tory Lanez.

Mariah Carey Duets With Daughter Monroe, 11, Brings Out Slick Rick, Jermaine Dupri For Holiday Special

Mariah Carey embraced her Queen of Christmas title during holiday special that included both her children alongside some Hip-Hop legends.

The superstar songstress and her 11-year-old daughter delivered a sweet rendition of the Christmas carol “Away in a Manger” during the Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas To All! two-hour festive performance at Madison Square Garden arena.

‘When I had my greatest day ever was my birthing day, when I gave birth to my twins, Moroccan and Monroe. And I got my little daughter, Miss Monroe, here,’ Mariah said while introducing her baby girl to the stage.

Mariah Carey not only performed a medley of her greatest holiday hits, but also brought out some guests. Among her famous friends to take the stage were Slick Rick and Jermaine Dupri. Check out a clip from their performance below.

Before belting out “Joy to the World,” Mariah Carey shared a message of hope.

“I just wanted to say that, on a serious note, this is the time for sharing and goodness, joy and hope. We really… a lot of us really need hope around the holidays,” she added. “And I’m always festive and no matter what we push, we push and we press on and we get through it. But what we really need to do right now is give you a little tiny bit of joy for your life, if you like.”

The five-time Grammy Award winner took to Twitter after the concert to thank her fans.

“Hope you enjoyed the show!!!” she wrote before adding that performing at the garden ‘is always special.” However, after a three-year absence, she called the holiday special “truly unforgettable.”

“I’m so grateful to be able to cherish this memory forever ❤️” she concluded before thanking the crew and performers.

“I just really want to continue down the path that I’m on,” Drake shared during an interview with the gambling site Stake. “I feel extremely healthy, I feel that I’m in the best shape mentally, physically of my life. I’ve been spending so much time with family, my son, it’s just been amazing.”

Drake also shared his gratitude for reaching a point where he can maintain a healthy work-life balance.

“I feel like I finally found this comfort point where I’m able to genuinely disconnect from all the noise of the world and be able to live my own life without being a recluse, without having to disappear and have no phone or no contact,” Drake explained. “I’m able to enjoy my life simultaneously while being at the forefront of pop culture.”

Drake fans will be excited to hear the “Jimmy Cooks” rapper has been preparing to take his show on the road.

While Drizzy’s eager for 21 Savage to join him on tour, it might not be possible due to travel restrictions. 21 is subject to travel restrictions stemming from his 3-year-old immigration case.

Tory Lanez Trial: New Witness Testifies A Woman Fired The First Shot

The Tory Lanez trial entered its seventh day with a new defense witness testifying to seeing a woman fire the first shot during the confrontation between the singer, Megan Thee Stallion, and Kelsey Nicole Harris.

On Tuesday (Dec. 20), Law & Crime senior reporter Meghann Cuniff reported Sean Kelly took the stand telling the court he witnessed the entire altercation through his bedroom window. He said he awoke to “two women violently fighting by the car,” before seeing a muzzle flash. Kelly “believes it was coming from one of the girls.”

He also claimed the fight between the women, whom he does not identify by name, “was quite violent.”

Kelly testified he saw a muzzle flash “About the same time that the smallest individual got out of the car.” he continued adding that the small person “got out about that time, all shouting.”

“Kelly said after the smallest guy got out of the car, ‘I saw more flashes,'” Cuniff tweeted.

“He stuck with his testimony that the flashes started with “the girls,” and he said he never heard anyone say, “Dance, b####” (which is what Meg testified Tory said before he opened fire).”

He went on to say the smaller guy “was very angry” and the flashes “came from him” but he “never saw a gun” at that time.

Kelly repeatedly testified he saw a woman fire the first shot but “believed it was fireworks,” as he was unaware she had a gun. However, he did say he saw “the smaller guy” with a gun before “everyone started beating one girl.”

“To me, it appeared that they were going to throw her in the river,” Kelly stated before adding, “It appeared to me when I was on the phone that they were trying to kill her.”

Young Thug’s Brother Unfoonk Denies Telling In YSL RICO Case After Taking Plea Deal

Young Thug’s brother is the latest defendant in the YSL RICO case to enter a plea deal.

Quantavious Grier, a.k.a. Unfoonk pleaded guilty to one count of violating the RICO Act and one count of theft by receiving stolen property, as per WSBTV Atlanta. He received a 12-year sentence with two of those years commuted. Unfoonk will also remain on probation for ten years.

He agreed to a series of conditions as part of his probation, including not having any contact with his brother Young Thug or any of the defendants until the case ends. Additionally, he must perform 750 hours of community service. Unfoonk has been given a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, and must not have a gun.

According to the deal, Unfoonk must also testify if called by any of the parties. However, he has the right to assert his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination.

Unfoonk Denies He Told On His Brother Young Thug

Young Thug’s brother is the fifth defendant to have accepted a plea deal in the YSL gang indictment case. Like Gunna and YSL co-founder Walter Murphy, Unfoonk has been accused of telling on his brother and others.

He took to Instagram on Tuesday (Dec. 20) to deny the allegation, starting the message with a pair of crying with laughter emojis before opening. “Damn people really think I told on my own brother SMH.”

He continued, “Show me in my paper work I told on anybody lol, I’m not fenna entertain any of it, peace and blessings.”

Young Thug appeared in court again on Tuesday. The trial against him and the remaining 22 defendants begins in January.

Gunna entered an Alford Plea and was released last week. The plea allowed him to maintain his innocence while accepting the DA had enough evidence to secure a conviction. Winnie Lee (aka Slimelife Shawty, and Martinez Arnold (aka Duke), and Walter Murphy also negotiated plea deals.

DC Has The Ultimate Shake-Up As The Rock Leaves DCU!

I am sure you all saw this, but The Rock has departed the DCU. A few weeks ago, The Rock “declined” to be in the next installment of Shazam to the shock of fans. How could he? Shazam and Black Adam are indelibly linked in the comic universe. Maybe he saw the handwriting on the wall. Or maybe…DC is ridiculous right now.

Remember Henry Cavill appeared at the end of “Black Adam” and the had the GALL to damn slice Henry! We were all gussied up and ready for a fight! And then…POOF! I ain’t gonna say they don’t know what they are doing, but James Gunn better have a Mack-10 and a silver bullet!

Here is what The Rock said:

My passionate friends,

I wanted to give you a long-awaited Black Adam update regarding the character’s future in the new
DC Universe. James Gunn and I connected, and Black Adam will not be in their first chapter of storytelling. However, DC and Seven Bucks have agreed to continue exploring the most valuable ways Black Adam can be utilized in future DC multiverse chapters.

James and I have known each other for years and have always rooted for each other to succeed. It’s
no different now, and I will always root for DC (and Marvel) to win and WIN BIG. You guys know me, and I have very thick skin – and you can always count on me to be direct with my words.

These decisions made by James and DC leadership represent their vision of DCU through their creative lens. After 15 years of relentless hard work to finally make Black Adam, I’m very proud of the film we delivered for fans worldwide. I will always look back on the fan reaction to Black Adam with tremendous gratitude, humility and love. We did great. To my very passionate and vocal Black Adam/Super Hero genre fans – I love you, THANK YOU, and I will ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOU and do my best to deliver and entertain you.
Have a productive week and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you and your families!

Us fans stay losing.

Young Thug Suffers Another Massive Legal Blow!

You know it is tough times for Young Thug right now. I would like to believe that he is innocent and there is a way out of this. But, the homie is looking like all his people have jumped ship! This is not be going a weird comparison but it definitely feels like the rats are coming out. You know, like the Titanic! Where will they go? Anyway, where will it end? I cannot see a good way out for Thug. These guys cut deals. They have not directly snitched yet, but it sure seems like that’s next.

I say all of this to say that Thugger’s flesh & blood brother has taken a deal. Unfoonk, the brother in question, has accepted a plea deal in the YSL case. This makes him the 5th person in YSL to take a deal. He will receive a 10 year probation sentence, AND is forbidden to have any contact with his brother. Oh snap!

Here is part of the bio of Unfoonk:

When first signing his record deal, Unfoonk’s brother (Young Thug) gave him advice that stuck with him telling him to continue to “feed your mind”. Taking that advice to heart, even though Unfoonk used his time in prison to write music he used his release to start fresh creating all new songs from a fresh perspective. He became enamored by the opportunity to perform seeing his brother and other YSL members (including his sisters Dolly and HiDoraah) performing in front of thousands of people and decided he was going to give music his all.

Needless to say, everybody is waiting for Thug to have his day in court. I would imagine it is getting crazy and crazier since they launched that “Protect Black Art” movement a few short months ago. I wonder if Kevin Liles is still willing to go to bat for his artist and son. I hope so, because he’s going to need all the help he can get.

Make it about Black Art again, please.

Cardi B’s Bestie Star Brim Wants Curfew Lifted, So She Can Feed Her 2-Year-Old

Cardi B’s best friend, Star Brim, who has been called the “Godmother” of the Blood street gang the 5-9 Brims in the Bronx, has asked a local judge to lift her curfew so that she can make some extra money.

According to Radar Online, Star Brim, whose real name is Yonette Respass, has made a name for herself in the mean New York streets. She is considered one of the highest-ranking women in the group.

But Star has also made a name for herself as an influencer who has over 1 million followers and serves as the CEO of the beauty company Star Quality Skin.

However, since being out on bond from her 2020 criminal case, Star Brim has not been able to make the dough she is used to because of the multiple restrictions the court has mandated with her $50,000 bond.

Star Brim argues as a single mom to a two-year-old, being an influencer (hosting parties, meet and greets, etc.) is the only way she can make money.

As AllHipHop.com reported, the prosecution alleged she ordered an attack on two bartenders at a New York strip club because they were getting out of pocket with one of her associates – rapper Cardi B.

These two bartenders, Jade (Tekashi 6ix9ine’s ex) and her sister Baddi Gi, are the same women Cardi B fought with a couple of years ago.

In September, Cardi struck a plea deal with prosecutors to avoid jail time over the incident, which was sparked by rumors that her husband Offset had been intimate with Jade.

Star Brim has asked the judge to change her restrictions before. In 2021, she asked if she could come off of house arrest.

Star Brim remains out of jail and is waiting for her trial to begin.

DaBaby Defeats Concert Promoter Seeking $6 Million For Alleged Assault

DaBaby scored a victory in court after a concert promoter sued him for battery.

According to TMZ, a jury ruled in DaBaby’s favor in the civil case on Monday (December 19). Concert promoter Kenneth Carey was seeking $6 million in his lawsuit against the Interscope Records artist.

“Along with our client, Jonathan Kirk (DaBaby), we are thrilled that this federal jury, after a five-day trial, came to the same conclusion that we have maintained for almost 3 years – that these plaintiffs were attempting to use the legal system to shake down Mr. Kirk,” the rapper’s lawyer Drew Findling told TMZ. “Mr. Kirk deserves all the credit in the world for not caving in to these plaintiffs’ cash demands and having the confidence in the facts and his legal team to take this to a jury trial for a complete and total victory!”

Carey accused DaBaby and several associates of attacking the concert promoter in Miami in 2020. The altercation allegedly stemmed from a dispute over money.

DaBaby was arrested for the incident in January 2020. He maintained his innocence and was released on a $1,500 bond.

The charges against DaBaby were dropped in March 2020. More than two years later, his lawyers successfully defended him in a civil trial.

Eminem & Wu-Tang Clan Get Bob Dylan’s Stamp Of Approval

Bob Dylan listens to Eminem and the Wu-Tang Clan.

Dylan mentioned he’s a fan of the Hip Hop legends in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. The acclaimed songwriter listed Eminem, Wu-Tang Clan and several other artists when asked about how he finds music these days.

“Mostly by accident, by chance,” Dylan said regarding his music discovery. “If I go looking for something I usually don’t find it. In fact, I never find it. I walk into things intuitively when I’m most likely not looking for anything.”

He continued, “Performers and songwriters recommend things to me. Others I just wake up and they’re there. Some I’ve seen live … Zach Deputy, I’ve discovered him lately. He’s a one man show like Ed Sheeran, but he sits down when he plays. I’m a fan of Royal Blood, Celeste, Rag’n’Bone Man, Wu-Tang, Eminem, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, anybody with a feeling for words and language, anybody whose vision parallels mine.”

Dylan also spoke about how he listens to music in the streaming era. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer discussed his affinity for vinyl but noted he might be listening to Eminem or Wu-Tang on a streaming platform.

“I listen to CD’s, satellite radio and streaming,” Dylan said. “I do love the sound of old vinyl though, especially on a tube record player from back in the day. I bought three of those in an antique store in Oregon about 30 years ago. They’re just little, but the tone quality is so powerful and miraculous, has so much depth, it always takes me back to the days when life was different and unpredictable. You had no idea what was coming down the road, and it didn’t matter. The laws of time didn’t apply to you.”

Young Thug Hopes Hip Hop Experts Can Clear His Name In RICO Trial

Young Thug enlisted the help of three expert witnesses with Hip Hop knowledge for his upcoming RICO trial.

According to documents obtained by AllHipHop, Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel submitted the defense’s list of expert witnesses on Sunday (December 18). The list featured a Hip Hop historian and two lyrics experts.

The defense plans to call Dr. Erik Nielson, who is referred to as a Hip Hop historian/expert. Nielson co-authored the book Rap on Trial: Race, Lyrics and Guilt in America.

Young Thug’s other Hip Hop-related witnesses are Dr. Adam Dunbar of the University of Nevada, Reno and Dr. Charis Kubrin of the University of California, Irvine. The two college professors are listed as Hip Hop/lyrics experts.

Additional witnesses include a cell phone expert, a drug treatment counselor and an expert in video analysis.

Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, and other YSL members await trial on racketeering and gang-related charges. Several of their co-defendants took plea deals in the RICO case.

Gunna, Lil Duke, Slimelife Shawty and YSL co-founder Walter Murphy were released from jail after accepting plea deals. Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk also agreed to a plea deal.

Young Thug has remained in jail since his May arrest. Jury selection in his trial is scheduled to begin on January 5, 2023.

Lil Wayne’s Smoking Blamed For Chef’s Delay In Tending To Sick Child In $500K Lawsuit

Lil Wayne’s former private chef sued him for discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, chef Morghan Medlock claimed the 40-year-old artist fired her because she left work to take care of her injured child. Medlock’s son was hospitalized after suffering a severe head injury and concussion.

The chef said she learned about her son’s injury over Memorial Day weekend. At the time, she was with Lil Wayne and his staff in Las Vegas.

Medlock said she sought to return to Los Angeles so she could be with her child. But the trip home was allegedly delayed due to Lil Wayne’s “insistence on smoking onboard the aircraft.”

Once Medlock got back to Los Angeles, she rushed to her son. She insisted she kept her boss’ team informed about the situation.

Soon after, Weezy’s assistant allegedly asked Medlock if she was quitting. Medlock told the assistant, “No.”

Medlock said she continued to check in with Lil Wayne’s assistant regarding her tasks and inquired about him wanting to see a dinner menu. She was told no regarding the menu.

The chef later received a message saying, “Goodbye.” She was thanked for her services.

“Tell Chef Morghan this isn’t going to work,” Lil Wayne allegedly relayed to her.

Medlock believed she was wrongfully fired from the job. She was hired in October 2020 and spent months “on call,” often traveling due to the nature of the Young Money rapper’s work.

The chef filed a lawsuit against Lil Wayne over her employment, benefits, mental anguish and emotional distress. She is seeking more than $500,000 in damages.

Trey Songz Surrendered To NYC Police For Alleged Assault At Local Bowling Alley

Trey Songz reportedly turned himself into New York City police last month for assaulting two people at a local bowling alley. According to TMZ, Songz—who has a questionable reputation at best—was booked, given a desk appearance ticket and released. The alleged incident took place in October and one of the victims, a woman, claimed Songz punched her in the face. Songz supposedly punched a second victim in the eye, but the man refused medical treatment.

While a motive hasn’t been revealed, attorney Mitch Schuster said he and his client “have been proactively communicating” with the authorities to resolve the matter. Schuster added he’s “confident” Songz will be “fully cleared of any wrong doing.”

But the woman has been adamant about her claims, saying Songz repeatedly punched her in the head and pulled her hair during the alleged attack. She also claimed her injuries were significant enough she needed a trip to the hospital.

Songz has landed in legal trouble several times over the past few years. In 2020, he was accused of sexual assault by a woman who attended a New Year’s Eve party at Diddy’s home on Miami’s Star Island. He then faced another sexual assault claim in November 2021 that allegedly took place at The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. Just months later, former University of Las Vegas women’s basketball star Dylan Gonzalez (who was affiliated with Master P’s New Orleans Gators) tweeted, “Trey Songz is a rapist. Lord forgive me I couldn’t hold that in another year. See you in 2022.”

As the comments rolled in, someone wrote: “Keke Palmer was right.” In a 2017 interview with The Breakfast Club, Palmer spoke about her split from Trey Songz and accused him of “sexual intimidation” for tricking her into being in the “Pick Up The Phone” video. Palmer explained she had to hide in a closet to avoid being filmed. Whatever the case, Songz continues to face the music.

Afroman Announces His Presidential Candidacy For 2024

According to TMZ, the 90s one-hit wonder broke the news over the weekend at a concert in Poplar Bluff, MO at the Black River Coliseum.

He told the sold-out audience he was serious about his aspirations.

Sources say he would run on the Independent Party ticket but has yet to release his full platform.

He also has a slogan: “20-20Fro!”

The artist posted the announcement on social media.

One thing that is a given is what would be his primary issue in his campaign. He wants to, first and foremost, legalize weed on a federal level. #Duh

So far, cannabis is legal for adult recreational use in 21 out of the 50 states.

Another person who said he would consider running is former wrestler-turned-movie star, Dwayne “Rock” Johnson.

“Humbling 🙏🏾🤯” he captioned the post. “I don’t think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club – but if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve you, the people 🙏🏾💪🏾🇺🇸

New York Times Bashed For S#######-Shaped Puzzle On First Day Of Hanukkah

The New York Times is in hot water after it made a huge cultural faux pas on the first day of Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights.

According to the New York Post, several people took offense because the crossword puzzle on Sunday, December 18th, titled “Some Theme’s Missing” looked like the shape of a s#######.

The puzzle design was created by a Washington, DC-based consulting manager Ryan McCarty. In the past, he had created 22 other puzzles for the paper, but this one might be his last.

He was hyped about this offering, saying, “Thrilled to have my first Sunday puzzle in The Times! This grid features one of my favorite open middles that I’ve made as it pulls from a variety of subject areas.”

McCarty added that he “originally tried to make it work in a 15×15 grid but then decided to expand the grid out to a Sunday-size puzzle with a fun whirlpool shape.”

McCarty’s Twitter has been disabled.

However, Donald Trump Jr. wasn’t so excited, noting on Twitter how it resembled the hate symbol of Nazi Germany.

He tweeted, “Disgusting! Only the New York Times would get Chanukah going with this is the crossword puzzle. Imagine what they would do to someone who did this and was not ideologically aligned with them? I’ll give them the same benefit of the doubt they would give those people… EXACTLY ZERO.”

He was not the only one. The communications director at Nikki Fried for Governor, Keith Edwards, also took offense, spelling the holiday wrong.

“This is the NYTimes crossword puzzle today on the first day of Hanukka. What the hell, @nytimes?”

SAFE CUNY, a Zionist group of students in New York City public colleges, tweeted, “Today’s Crossword Puzzle from the New York Times for Hanukkah. Pretty much sums up the @nytimes for the past few years in regard to Jews and Israel.”

One of the loudest voices was from the Jewish media conglomerate Israel National News, who noted the crossword was published after an alleged anti-Semitic op-ed by the newspaper published on Saturday.

The Times has yet to comment on the puzzle or if they will be working with McCarty again.

Lil Baby’s Three-Year Hot 100 Chart Streak Comes To An End

Dominique “Lil Baby” Jones is one of the most commercially successful rap stars of the 21st century. The Quality Control Music recording artist has scored 132 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in his career.

That 132 total puts Baby in the Top 10 of the all-time list of acts with the most Hot 100 placements. Just as impressive, Baby managed to maintain a presence on the weekly chart for over three consecutive years.

That streak came to an end this week. For the first time since 2019, the Hot 100 chart does not include a Lil Baby song. The run comes to a halt at an impressive 176 weeks, the seventh-longest streak ever. It started with the DaBaby-assisted “Baby” and ended with “Heyy.”

Lil Baby Has Multiple Songs That Peaked At No. 2

The Atlanta-bred Lil Baby has yet to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He does have 13 songs that made it into the chart’s Top 10 region. The “Girls Want Girls” and “Wants And Needs” collaborations with Drake both peaked at No. 2.

Earlier this year, Lil Baby just missed out on the No. 1 spot again when Nicki Minaj’s “Do We Have A Problem?” also leveled off at No. 2. The Grammy-nominated “The Bigger Picture” made it to No. 3 on the Hot 100 in 2020.

The It’s Only Me Album Arrived This Year

Lil Baby dropped the It’s Only Me studio LP in October 2022. Upon the album’s release, 22 songs by the 28-year-old rapper charted on the Hot 100 simultaneously. According to reports, Baby became the youngest artist in history to achieve that milestone.

It’s Only Me opened at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart by collecting 216,000 first-week units. The project is Lil Baby’s third chart-topper following his 2020 solo album My Turn and his 2021 collaborative album The Voice of the Heroes with Lil Durk.

Lil Baby’s frequent collaborator, Drake, holds the record for most consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (431 weeks; May 2009-August 2017). Lil Wayne (326 weeks), Rihanna (216), Nicki Minaj (207), Post Malone (200), and Drake again (188; February 2018-September 2021) are the only artists ahead of Baby on that tally.

Asian Doll Fires Back At Hitmaka For Saying Too Many Female Rappers Rap About Sex

Once again, sections of Hip Hop culture are taking part in a conversation about the content of modern-day female rappers. Hitmaka (fka Yung Berg) sparked the debate, then Asian Doll added her thoughts on the matter.

“Can’t wait to work with a pretty female rapper that’s strictly about bars to even the playing field. P#### rap was cool when it had shock value and was rare,” tweeted Hitmaka on December 18.

The Chicago-bred music producer/record executive continued, “Now it’s like every girl taking it there. It’s [some] who aren’t but they need a hit producer [for] impact.”

Following some pushback from social media users, Hitmaka returned to Twitter. In a subsequent tweet, the “Sexy Can I” performer posted, “The conversation has started & that’s all that matters.”

Asian Doll Says Women Are Running Rap Right Now

Apparently, those comments by Hitmaka did not sit well with Asian Doll (aka Asian Da Brat). The 26-year-old Dallas, Texas native took to Twitter on Monday morning to address that criticism of contemporary female rappers.

“I feel like why do n##### always [worry about] what female rappers rap about? N##### been rapping bout the same thing since rap was invented,” tweeted Asian Doll to her 1.5 million followers.

The Let’s Do A Drill creator also added, “Ladies rap for the ladies not for you n##### and we running s### [right now] so let us be US 💯 even [though] I don’t only rap about my p#### still [shut the f### up].”

2022 saw the introduction of newcomers such as Latto, GloRilla, Coi Leray, and Ice Spice. Established female rap acts like Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, and City Girls left their respective marks on the year as well.

Cardi B Addressed The Criticism Of “P#### Rap” Three Years Ago

This is not the first time a public discussion about women rapping about sexual fantasies has taken place in recent years. In 2019, So So Def label founder Jermaine “JD” Dupri made similar complaints about female rappers at that time.

“For me, it’s like strippers rapping,” said JD. “As far as rap goes, I’m not getting who is the best rapper. I’m getting, ‘Oh, you got a story about you dancing in the club, you got a story about you dancing in the club, you got a story about you dancing in the club.’ OK, all right.”

Exotic dancer-turned-Grammy winner Cardi B countered Jermaine Dupri by claiming many fans prefer to listen to sexually explicit songs. Cardi also shouted out other rappers, like Rapsody and Tierra Whack, that the “WAP” rhymer viewed as examples of female rappers who do not focus as much on sexuality but do not get as much support.

“Okay guys, I have seen a lot of people saying nowadays female rappers only talk about their p#### and now that Jermaine Dupri brought it up I’m going to say something,” stated Cardi B in an Instagram video. “First of all, I rap about my p#### because she’s my best friend, and second of all, it’s because it seems like that’s what people want to hear.”
