Blueface Pleads For Gay/Bisexual Men To Stop Sending Him Nude Pics

Rapper-turned-internet personality Blueface has made some comments that had people questioning his sexuality. However, the “Thotiana” performer wants the world to know he is not attracted to men.

“My hands [are] bisexual for anybody who feel a typa way get up with me,” tweeted Blueface on March 16. Apparently, that post about being willing to fight men and women led to some lustful direct messages.

Blueface returned to Twitter to plead for male members of the LGBTQ community to stop sharing unsolicited nude photos with him. The 26-year-old reality show star kept the request mostly light-hearted.

“Ever since I tweeted my hands [are] bisexual it’s been a lot of LGBTQ s### going on in my DM. That’s not what I meant, cuz 😂🙅🏽‍♂️,” wrote Blueface on Monday afternoon.

He added, “Please stop sending me gay s###. I respect the LGBTQ community, y’all went from a minority to majority, that’s a hell of [an] accomplishment. [You’re] welcome to love [whoever] you want, but don’t bring [that] over here please, respectfully.”

Was Blueface Sexually Harassed?

Blueface went on to describe some of the pornographic pictures that arrived in his DMs. In particular, the Cash Money Records affiliate discussed one image that had him questioning if the person possibly sexually harassed him.

“I go to click on a picture in my DM [and] you know how on Twitter it [doesn’t] show you the picture till you click on it… It’s a whole n#### on there spreading his ass open, cuz. Like [what the f###] is this. That’s sexual harassment. I ain’t sign up for this. You can’t even dm me on here no more,” tweeted Blueface.

The part-time amateur boxer has been dating his Crazy in Love co-star Chrisean Rock. That toxic on-again, off-again relationship included Rock once publicly asking Blueface if he had sex with a male little person.

Blueface also mockingly asked Chrisean Rock if Lil Baby wants to have sex with him as a response to Rock having a conversation with the Atlanta-bred rapper. Supposedly, Rock is currently pregnant with Blueface’s child.

Rubi Rose Responds To Backlash Over Ramadan Tweet By Changing Profile Pic

Rubi Rose was on the receiving end of some hefty backlash on social media over a tweet about Ramadan.

Muslims worldwide are preparing for the holy month of Ramadan, which begins later this week, commencing on the evening of Mar. 22 in the U.S.A. and ending on the evening of Apr. 20. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community.

On Monday evening (Mar. 20), Rubi Rose was slammed by fans for tweeting, ”Ready for Ramadan 🤲🏾.”

“U bent over covering ya poom poom in ya profile pic , talm bout ready for Ramadan,” read one tweet that was viewed over one million times and garnered almost 50,000 likes.

Fans objected to Rubi Rose tweeting about the holy month in light of her provocative profile picture. At the time of her Ramadan post, the rapper and model’s Twitter avi was a photo of her looking back at the camera while bent over, a hand covering her nether regions.

Others pointed to a previous tweet from Rubi Rose implying she was a Christian.

Rubi Rose Updates Her Twitter Avi

A few hours later, Rubi Rose, rumored to be dating French Montana, shared a picture of herself wearing a hijab with her hair covered. She also changed her Twitter profile picture to a red circle.

While she didn’t address the backlash directly, Rubi Rose did retweet a statement from City Girls’ JT “I love learning the hard way ima touch the stove every time!” the tweet read. The “Wifey” hitmaker also shared a statement about social media. “Twitter & Ig really two different places lol,” she declared.

While some fans blasted Rubi Rose for her tweet, others were far more encouraging.

“May Allah make it easy for us and change us all for the better,” wrote one fan. “Don’t pay attention to the bad mind people on here. It was nice to see you tweet this.

“For all those who are judging her and trying to discourage her Allah is watching,” another user shared. “Congratulations sister ins sh allah Ramadan will go well for you”

Usher Interrupts His Las Vegas Show To Give Queen Latifah Her Flowers

Queen Latifah recently celebrated her birthday and decided to see Usher perform at his Las Vegas residency

However, the R&B crooner had a surprise in store for the Hip-Hop pioneer, one she wasn’t expecting. Somewhere during his performance, Usher paused his show for an important interruption. He paid tribute to the trailblazing rap icon, blasting her 1993 anthem, “U.N.I.T.Y.,” from the speakers while delivering her a beautiful bouquet of roses and a gift.

The audience stood to their feet as Usher made his way over to Queen Latifah to give the icon her flowers.

The pair shared a sweet embrace before Usher returned to the stage as Queen Latifah blew a kiss. Check out the video below.

Meanwhile, the multihyphenate’s Queen Collective short film series recently made a return. Queen Latifah partnered with P&G and Flavor Unit Entertainment to deliver a six-part series featuring films from women of color.

During a recent interview, Queen Latifah explained she was inspired to create the project after noticing the gap between women of color spending money on entertainment versus the number of these women actually telling the stories.

“When you looked at the numbers with women, and then you looked at the numbers of women of color and people of color, these numbers were abhorrent,” Queen Latifah told The Root. “Our stories are being told, but not by us or not at all. Or we’re not seeing ourselves being represented in front of the camera, nor behind the camera. The interesting thing about it was that when you have a diverse group of people, diversity sells. It’s good business.”

Doja Cat Announces “I’m Healing Really Fast” Following Breast Reduction & Liposuction

After announcing her plans to undergo breast enhancement surgery last year, Doja Cat revealed she is in recovery, having gone under the knife.

The rapper/singer took to Twitter on Wednesday to update her followers on her procedure and answer a few questions.

“Got my t###### done and my c### bedazzled,” Doja Cat tweeted. She also announced that she’s in a lot of pain after getting liposuction to remove fat from her thighs. “Feels ok,” she added. “I got lipo so my thighs hurt a lot if i move too much. but im healing really fast.”

When a fan asked how she’s doing, the Planet Her creator replied, “4 days into recovery rn.” Other fans questioned Doja Cat about her breast enhancement, with one asking, “big b###### or what?”

However, Doja revealed her new bra size. “32C,” she stated. She also confirmed she had a reduction, responding to a commenter who declared: “I just know her boobs bigger.” Doja replied, “nope. Smaller.”

Last November, Doja Cat admitted that she was unhappy with how her breasts looked in some outfits.

“I’m literally about to get surgery this winter lmao,” she told a fan on Twitter. “I just want my t###### pulled up cuz some of my tops don’t fit the way i want them to.”

When fans began debating her procedures, with one suggesting, “Lipo is when fat is transferred from 1 area to another,” the “Get Into It” hitmaker clarified, “No it is not, dear. That is called a fat transfer. I did not get a fat transfer.

When another fan asked what’s all the fuss about Doja Cat getting lipo, she offered a typical response.

“Because people need things to be upset about,” she stated before adding, “because people are miserable and people need a job.” Check out her tweets below.

Ari Lennox Shares ‘The Princess And The Frog’ Audition Video

Ari Lennox may have a career in Hollywood in her sights after announcing her plans to fall back on touring.

Fans of the sultry R&B songstress were crushed to hear that her Age Sex Location Tour would be her last. However, the Washington, D.C. native could have another career path in mind, one that involves singing and acting.

With the upcoming Disney movies, The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan & Wendy, rumors have swirled that the movie giant is considering a remake of 2009’s The Princess and the Frog. Ari Lennox has heard the gossip and wants to nab the role of Tiana.

However, she’s not waiting for Disney to reach out and has taken matters into her own hands. On Monday evening (Mar. 20), Ari Lennox took to social media to share her audition for the role. She posted a video of her singing a rendition of one of the songs from The Princess and the Frog soundtrack.

She introduced herself to any potential casting team at Disney, writing, “Hi I’m Ari Lennox and I would love an opportunity to audition for Princess and The Frog in person. ❤️ Here’s #AlmostThere by Anika Noni Rose.”

Check out her audition video below.

Age Sex Location will be my last tour. ❤️ I love my genuine fans so much and can’t wait to give you my all every night!! 😘,” tweeted Ari Lennox.

The Dreamville Records artist also added, “Europe, I love you but unfortunately there will not be a tour due to reasons out of my control. Happy holidays. 🙏🏾See you soon Vegas!”

Judge Silences Lawyers & Potential Witnesses In Mystikal Rape Case

A judge granted Mystikal’s request for a gag order in his rape case.

According to The Advocate, Judge Steven Tureau issued the gag order at a hearing in Gonzales, Louisiana. The ruling stops attorneys, potential witnesses and law enforcement from talking to the media about Mystikal’s case.

Mystikal’s lawyer Tiffany Myles Crosby asked the judge for a gag order, citing an “inordinate amount of publicity.” Prosecutors had no objections.

Last year, Mystikal was arrested for allegedly raping a woman at his home in Prairieville, Louisiana. Authorities also accused him of choking the victim and threatening her with scissors in a dispute over money.

The 52-year-old artist was indicted for first-degree rape, among other charges. He has remained in jail since his July 2022 arrest.

Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, pleaded not guilty to the charges. His trial is expected to begin this summer. He faces life in prison if convicted of rape.

The multi-platinum selling rapper is a registered sex offender. He served six years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual battery and extortion in 2003.

Mystikal previously faced rape and kidnapping charges in 2017. He spent roughly 18 months in jail before the case was dismissed in 2020.

XXXTentacion’s Girlfriend & Mother Say Justice Was Served In Murder Trial

XXXTentacion’s loved ones experienced relief when a jury found his killers guilty of murder on Monday (March 20).

Jenesis Sanchez, XXXTentacion’s girlfriend and the mother of his child Gekyume, commented on the verdict via Instagram Stories. She believed justice was served and thanked fans for their support.

“After 5 long years you may finally rest in peace,” she wrote. “Gekyume will never get to meet you earthside, but it is my job as a mother to ensure I share those special memories with him. Jah was robbed of his life and Geky was robbed of his father. For this, I will never truly have complete peace, but justice being served today helps the healing process.”

She added, “Thank you for the love and support. I am eternally grateful for all the supporters, your positivity and prayers have carried me these last 5 years.”

XXXTentacion’s mother Cleopatra Bernard expressed similar sentiments on Instagram Stories. In one post, Bernard displayed the shirt she wore in the courtroom.

“You finally got justice Jah,” she wrote. “I made sure you were present in the room.”

Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams and Trayvon Newsome were convicted of first-degree murder and armed robbery. They face life in prison.

A fourth man, Robert Allen, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for his role in XXXTentacion’s death. Allen testified against Boatwright, Williams and Newsome.

EXCLUSIVE: Elusive Ye Still Can’t Be Found Despite Process Servers’ Slick Tactics At Basketball Games

A Miami art studio requested more time to serve its lawsuit against Ye, who has eluded process servers for months.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Surface Media filed a motion for alternative service and a 60-day extension to serve Ye on Monday (March 20). Last year, Surface Media sued Kanye West for allegedly failing to pay rent for its art studio.

Surface Media previously asked for an extension in January. Process servers have struggled to find Ye since the studio pursued legal action against him in October 2022.

Earlier this year, process servers unsuccessfully attempted to deliver documents to Kanye at the property he bought near Kim Kardashian’s home and a Beverly Hills hotel. Other failed attempts included efforts to stake out Ye at his kids’ basketball games in February.

“The moment the paparazzi recognized a vehicle, they ran towards the vehicle, and I followed,” one process server wrote. “I observed most people were teenagers, college-age and adults. After 4:00 pm the teenagers, college-age and adults emptied out of the center and parents with young children trickled in. The Defendant’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, did show up with her security but no sign of Kanye West.”

A week later, a different person tried to serve Ye at the location where his children play basketball.

“I felt comfortable enough to walk the floors and take my time looking to see if I can see Kanye West,” the second process server wrote. “As I toured around the courts, I carefully looked for our subject. I did not see him. I returned to the doors of the rear entrance and I maintained my position in that general area keeping an eye on anyone that would be entering or exiting these doors. From 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., during this time, I did not see Kanye West.”

He continued, “During surveillance, when a group of children finished their training and was leaving the court, I watched for [paparazzi]. I did not see any. From 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., during this time, I kept a close eye on the doors of the training center. I did not see Kanye West during this time … I left the location at 7:00 pm.”

A third process server attempted to serve Ye at the Yeezy office in February. Security informed the person the suite had been vacant since last year.

Surface Media is seeking more than $145,000 in back rent from Kanye.

French Montana Hit With Lawsuit Over Miami Gardens Shooting

A man sued French Montana in the aftermath of a shooting that left at least 10 people injured, including Geffen Records artist Rob49.

According to multiple reports, Carl Leon filed a lawsuit against French Montana on Monday (March 20). Leon blamed the Coke Boys rapper for putting people in harm’s way to film a music video in January.

Gunfire erupted at a gathering outside of The Licking restaurant in Miami Gardens. Leon said French Montana moved a music video shoot to the restaurant’s parking lot after an “altercation and robbery” took place at the original location.

Leon claimed he was one of the people injured in the shooting. He identified himself as an extra in the video shoot, accusing French Montana of failing to “properly plan and conduct the music video production in a safe manner.”

“It was an extremely unfortunate situation that led to multiple people suffering serious injuries,” Leon’s attorney Josiah Graham told Rolling Stone. “The most egregious thing is that people were beaten up and robbed at this video shoot and the [production] did not shut down.”

Graham added, “Montana continued the video shoot, moved it across the street, and those assailants returned and shot the place up. Things like that should not be able to go on.”

Earlier this year, French Montana said he went to the restaurant to celebrate the release of his Coke Boys 6 mixtape. His lawyer denied the allegations in Leon’s lawsuit.

“[Leon’s] interest in litigation is solely to exploit and benefit financially from it, and his re-imagining of his invitation and current statements are simply an egregious profit play and publicity stunt,” attorney Ted Anastasiou declared. “Beyond rejecting Mr. Leon and his counsel’s claims, we implore them to take a good, long look in the mirror and ask whether their loved ones would respect them for trying to make a buck by blatantly lying.”

The lawsuit names French Montana, Coke Boys Records, The Licking restaurant and property owner Gayles Plaza as defendants. Leon seeks $50,000 in damages.

EXCLUSIVE: The D.O.C.’s First Verse In Nearly 20 Years Arrives Courtesy Of The Codefendants

The D.O.C. is one of West Coast gangsta rap’s secret weapons. In addition to helming his solo career, he’s penned hits for N.W.A, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, among others. But in 1989, as the success of his debut album No One Can Do It Better was at its peak, he suffered a life-altering tragedy. Driving home in the wee hours of the night, he had a terrible car accident that ultimately robbed him of his voice. Needless to say, he thought he’d never speak again, let alone rap. But lo and behold, The D.O.C. returned last June with his first verse in nearly 20 years courtesy of the Codefendants’ “Fast Ones.”

Comprised of indie rap tour de force Ceschi Ramos, NOFX’s Fat Mike and The Get Dead’s Sam King, the Codefendants pulled off what was thought to be an impossible feat—getting The D.O.C. on the mic again. As the group readies their new album, This Is Crime Wave, for Friday’s (March 24) release, the excitement surrounding the project is palpable, especially from those who had a hand in creating it.

“Working with The D.O.C. in the studio was a humbling experience,” Fat Mike tells AllHipHop. “He was hesitant of recording with the Codefendants because he was told his voice was no good anymore. I think his voice is amazing! He sound like Louis Armstrong mixed with Tom Waits. You can’t hide from his performance. It creeps into your ears and never leaves.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpym0F3rVsw/?hl=en

As for The D.O.C.’s verse, he raps with the ferocity of the veteran MC he is, while briefly touching on his hesitance to use his voice for music again.

“I’ve been living so off balance that even drowning’s a f###### challenge,” he raps in part. “Violence every day/This ain’t fantasy island, n-ggaz wildin’/I was when it used to be attitudes/Now it’s just a minstrel black fists/It’s black fools, clowns in black face, night of the f#####’ baseheads you f#####’ laced/Your homie is part of the f#####’ feds (ahhh)/But I saw light on that f#####’ mic that f#####’ Fat Mike played some s### that I f#####’ liked/Sketchy m############ from the night painted f###### right/We gon’ stick our f#####’ fingers into the world’s d####, trying to get these words out.”

“Fast Ones” serves as the fifth and final installment of The Codefendants’ ongoing video series. Previously released chapters include “Suicide by Pigs,” “Abscessed,” “Bad Business” featuring N8NOFACE and “Def Cons.” Pre-order the vinyl album via Fat Wreck here. Digital pre-saves can be found here.

Montreal Rap Trio Planet Giza Talks New Album ‘Ready When You Are’

Planet Giza is your new favorite rap trio on the scene, and the music speaks for itself. With the name referencing the pyramids at Giza in Egypt, Planet Giza is composed of members Rami B (DJ/producer), Tony Stone (vocalist), and DoomX (producer). Based in Montreal, all three creatives add their own flare to the group, creating a synergy in the studio that is unmatched.

When asked to describe themselves, DoomX states, “We’re producers, artists that always try to push boundaries through music, and just express what we go through on a daily basis. Through art form, through music.”

In 2019, Planet Giza unveiled their critically-acclaimed debut project called Added Sugar, and it’s been up ever since. The outfit went from performing locally at Montreal’s International Jazz Festival to having their production featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon thanks to GoldLink, and they’re ready to fully break into the U.S. market.

Now, Planet Giza gears up for their forthcoming album titled Ready When You Are. The project is spearheaded by lead singles, “WYD” features Chicago rapper Saba and “Quiet on the Set.”

AllHipHop spoke with Planet Giza to discuss how they all met, roots in Montreal, collaborating with Saba, the new project, favorite producers, and more!

AllHipHop: How did you guys come together initially?

Rami: I knew Tony. We used to play basketball in high school, back in 2008. Three years later, I met him again at summer school. We both failed math class. He’s like, “Yo, I see you’ve started doing beats.” I said “yeah, I just started.” He said “Yo, let me come to your home. Show me how to make beats.” So he came by my house, I showed him the basics of Fruity Loops studio. That’s the software we use.

Then he started making beats on his own. After that, he connected with Doom through some mutual friends. Tony said, “Yeah, Doom makes beats. Rami makes beats. Let’s make a session, all three of us together.” We did, and we released a song called “Old School Convertible.” That was in the SoundCloud days. The song started doing numbers, people really liked it. The energy was good, we were working good. The three of us said “let’s make a group,” and that’s how we started.

AllHipHop: Growing up in Canada, what’s the hip-hop scene like?

Rami: It’s a bit divided, because we’re mostly a French province. We all speak French, that’s our native language. For us, it’s a bit difficult because we do music in English and there’s not really a support system for English artists. In Quebec especially. The scene in Montreal is mostly French so for me, I grew up listening to mostly French music.

Doom: It’s a bittersweet feeling. Because there is support, but at the same time, people from Montreal do prefer listening to people from the States. Because that’s what’s popular anyways. When it comes to English acts from Montreal, they’ll get less support because they’ll rather listen to somebody from the States.

We had to make a name for ourselves, for the longest. The more work that we put in, the more support that people have given us. But at the same time, it’s weird because there’s a beat scene where the producers get hella love. The producers can tour off only putting out instrumentals online. I classify people like Kaytranada, they make a living off of what they do just doing instrumentals. It’s divided, but it’s a great scene. Everybody’s talented, there’s a lot of talent. The more shine that Montreal gets, the more they’ll go forward for all of us.

AllHipHop: How would you guys describe your sound?

Rami: Usually, we try to make something that’s timeless. We’re not trying to see what’s trendy or whatever, we focus on our inspiration. We try to make it new, make it fresh. Because we do everything. We can do funk, soul, R&B, Hip Hop, trap, house. It’s a melting pot of a bunch of influences that are mixed well together.

AllHipHop: What artists or groups do you guys look up to?

Rami: Groups: Outkast, Tribe Called Quest, N.E.R.D., De La Soul. We like artists like Tyler The Creator Kendrick of course. We like people like Quincy Jones, Roy Ayers. There’s a bunch of different sounds that we’re really into.

AllHipHop: How did “WYD” with Saba come about?

Tony: Saba, that’s the homie. We met him through Instagram, he saw a song we made called “Rocky Road.” He hit us up like, “Yo, this song is super fire.” We’re like, ”Yo, we’re big fans of you! Let’s work, because we’re going to be in LA.” He’s like “Alright bet. When you guys are out here, hit us up.” So that’s exactly what we did.

Went to the studio with him. He already had the beat. He heard it like, “This is fire! Let’s work on that.” I already had a concept, the hook in my head: “what you doing.” It was smooth sailing from there, we just clicked and the song was done. Super fast. After that, the rest is history.

AllHipHop: What can we expect from your new project, Ready When You Are?

Tony: Expect the unexpected. Crazy, crazy, amazing music. We’ve really been working on this for years now, so the progression of growth from our first album is incredible. Personally, it’s some of the best music we’ve ever worked on and everyone will agree.

Rami: Yeah definitely.

Doom: Don’t expect much. Expect the feeling of everything you’ve heard before, but nothing at the same time. It’s such a weird feeling. Every person we play the album to, they always point out that it sounds like it was made in the early 2000’s — but it doesn’t sound like anything that was made in the early 2000’s. It’s a weird contrast, but I think people are really going to gravitate towards it.

AllHipHop: Talk about the project’s second single, “Quiet On The Set.”

Rami: You can expect something like the album, something you’ve never heard before. It’s really a blend of a whole bunch of genres. It’s smooth, it’s hard at the same time. You really can’t even pinpoint what type of song it is, but it’s really good. We really enjoyed making it.

Doom: We got a video for it, the video’s crazy.

Rami: Yup, very.

AllHipHop: What can we expect from the video?

Rami: The video is the whole aesthetic we wanted to start, because we were having a conversation about doing something new. Showing more of our personalities and going into weird inspiration. It’s for now our best video yet, because it was really out of our comfort zone but in a good way. If you see the video, you’ll understand the whole vibe of the.

AllHipHop: Can you talk about the features on the project as well? Kojey Radical, Mick Jenkins, Topaz Jones

Tony: Just a line of awesome artists. We were in the studio with them for most of the songs, just a great energy. They really add a whole different dynamic to songs, how my voice is not as deep as Kojey’s voice. I’ll sing most of the time, but Femdot. He’ll come and drop pure poetry, pure bars on a song. It’s an honor to have these people on our album, people that we’re fans of. It’s the same way back for us.

AllHipHop: Talk about what each of you bring to the table.

Doom: Honestly, we all bring the same thing. We don’t really let our egos get into the creation part of working with each other. Everybody brings their influence. We all got different influences. Me, I grew up listening to more dirty South music. So in the era of Gucci Mane, Jeezy back in the days. That’s where I grew up on: Outkast, UGK, 8Ball & MJG type s###.

The different influences, that’s what everybody brings to the table. We’re really open, we have a great blank line of communication. If you don’t like an idea or if you don’t like something, you’re not scared to say, “Okay, let’s try it. But if it doesn’t fit, let’s cut it out.” That’s why we always strive as a group, we’ve never had animosity towards each other. We never had any arguments, so that’s good.

AllHipHop: Talk about gaining notoriety outside of Canada. What do you hope the AllHipHop readers and fans in America want to gain from your music?

Tony: We want the people to understand we’re making music that’s really timeless. This is a passion of ours, and we really want to stand the test of time with this. Every time you hear a Planet Giza song, you’re gonna hear the intention and the passion behind it. This is real music.

Doom: I wanted to add: in the era of social media era, to let people know that music does matter. If you think about it back in the days, people were not really in the forefront like they used to be right now. But in the time we are right now, music doesn’t really matter. It’s more about the image, but we’re trying to move that narrative and make it more about the music more than anything else.

Kami: Let the music speak.

AllHipHop: Who are some of your favorite producers?

Tony: Ooh, Neptunes for sure.

Kami: Neptunes definitely. Q-Tip, J Dilla, Pete Rock, Organized Noize.

Tony: Quincy Jones.

Doom: There’s a lot, we can go on for days. We’ve been through a lot of eras of producers, so there’s a lot of people. You can even add Young Chop, Shawty Redd, D. Rich. They’re friends of ours, but still the talent is undeniable.

Kami: Kaytranada.

AllHipHop: Have you visited the Giza Pyramids, or any plans of going to Egypt?

Doom: That’ll be fun.

Tony: We will go one day.

Doom: I’m scared of the weather, but I would like to go. I just don’t want to suffocate in the heat.

Tony: [laughs]

Rami: But one day for sure, you’re gonna see us with a picture popping out. All three of us.

AllHipHop: What’s the vibe in the studio?

Doom: A microphone, a keyboard. Studio monitors.

Tony: Speakers.

Doom: S###, we don’t need much. We’re not smokers. Sometimes, we’ll have a bottle.

Tony: Good Haitian food. TV to play sports highlights,

Doom: Good food. We just bring ourselves to the studio. We don’t get distracted. Sometimes alcohol, but that’s about it. We don’t smoke weed. We don’t like to invite a lot of people because it’s a distraction. We be to ourselves in the studio.

AllHipHop: Talk about the cool merch and vinyls you guys are working on.

Doom: We’re working on the merch as we speak. Hopefully, we can get vinyls as soon as possible for the album. All of that is in the works, hopefully it won’t take that long.

AllHipHop: What are you guys most excited for next? I know you have a couple of performances coming up.

Doom: Yeah, really excited to hit the road. We’ve never been really performing like that. This year is going to be the start of taking the songs on the road and seeing how people really feel about it.

Kami: Really meeting new people too, actually engaging with the people that like our music. Also see the reaction about the new album, because we haven’t released an album in four years. We did release an EP two years ago, but this one is really different. We weren’t in the same mindset when we made this one then then the EP so people are really going to enjoy it. I’m really hyped to see the reaction and the criticism, everything. I want to hear everything, good or bad.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let the people know?

Kami: Get ready for the Giza season, like always, follow us on all socials @planetgiza.

Tony: Yup, it’s about that time.

Doom: Yes!

XXXTENTACION Murder Trial: The Verdicts Are In

The three suspects accused of XXXTENTACION’s 2018 murder were reportedly found guilty on Monday (Mach 20). According to Rolling Stone, Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome and Dedrick Williams were slapped with the verdict after seven days of jury deliberation. All three men are now facing life in prison.

The trial, which began in February, picked up traction after Williams’ attorney, Mauricio Padilla, attempted to drag Drake into it. He claimed the two rappers had been beefing shortly before X was killed. Padilla cited an old tweet from X in his opening arguments that read, “If anyone tries to kill me it was @champagnepapi. I’m snitching right now.” X later claimed he was hacked.

Padilla’s motion to depose Drake was ultimately shot down by the judge, but Drake’s legal team had to step in. One of his attorneys, Bradford Cohen, countered there was a “lack of foundation.” Cohen explained Padilla sent Drake a Zoom link for the deposition without sealing it. Days later, Padilla filed a notice with the court but failed to include details on how the Zoom interview would be conducted. Cohen therefore claimed the subpoena was “procedurally defective.”

Whatever the case, it didn’t work. Williams and his co-defendants will now await their sentencing hearings.

XXXTENTACION was shot and killed outside of RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida on June 18, 2018. A fourth suspect, Robert Allen, identified Boatwright as the shooter and Williams as the mastermind. X was just 20 years old at the time of his death.

SIGNS: Drug Dealers Steal Money From Kids Selling Water

They say you can’t knock the hustle, but apparently some purported drug dealers are not cut from the same cloth as Jay-Z. Remember that song? At any rate, everybody out here in the world is trying to make a dollar here and there. And for the most part, your hustle does not have to impact mine. In this case, it seems like some gangsters in Texas took offense to these kids selling water! You know the kids on the street just trying to make a few bucks? Those kids!

Ms. Lauryn Hill Visited The Motown Museum

The people of Detroit had a rare Ms. Lauryn Hill sighting, as the rapper, singer, and songwriter extraordinaire made her way to visit the Motown Museum over the weekend.

The cultural institution took to social media to celebrate her visit, tweeting, “American singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer, and actress @MsLaurynHill visited Motown Museum on a private tour with her family. They loved the experience and were all very thankful for the amazing tour!”

Fans celebrated her in the comments of the post.

One said, “What a beautiful outfit Ms. Hill chose for this event. The Miseducation album was a HUGE part of my young life,” adding that the artist is “Still play it on reg rotation playlist with Joni Mitchell, Shirley Horn, Rickie Lee Jones, Stevie Wonder, Richie Havens, Missy Elliott, Laura Nyro, Aretha, and Irma T.”

Another fan replied to the first comment, saying, Ms. Hill has always been fly.

“Lauryn has always had style, even back when she was with the Fugees. I would love for her to get back into music again, but I know she’s had so many scarring experiences,” the person declared.

Ms. Hill’s first hit from her classic debut album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” was “Doo Wop,” a ditty that paid homage to the good oldies pumped out of music hubs like the Motor City.

The Motown Museum aka the Home of Hitsville was founded in 1985 by Berry Gordy.

It sits on the original site where so many of the songs that changed R&B, Pop and Rock and Roll were made.

The reason it was called Hitsville is that at a certain point in time, with artists like Diana Ross and the Supreme, Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, the Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, and more … they label produced all the hits that not only made people dance but played a huge part in the cultural desegregation of America.

The museum is located on Berry Gordy Jr. Boulevard/ 2648 W. Grand Blvd. and works to preserve, promote, and celebrate the authentic Motown Story as a platform for others to flourish as thinkers, creators, neighbors, and entrepreneurs.

South African Police Shares Status Of Rapper AKA’s Murder Investigation

The international community is calling for the incarceration of the individual who killed the South African rapper AKA.  The chart-topper was killed in February 2023 in Durban.

Police say they have made progress in an investigation into the murder but have not arrested a suspect.

According to Briefly, Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi said his agency has received support from the fans in efforts to get justice for the entertainer.

“We want to encourage communities to come on board and share information,” he said.

Adding, “The investigation of Mr. Forbes, who was murdered last month, the majority of the work we did thus far it is because of the help from the community.”

“The different cameras in that vicinity are not installed by the state, but it is those cameras that are helping us to analyze and identify some of those people who might have been involved and it helps us to make linkages,” he continued.

In addition to AKA, his childhood friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane was also fatally shot in the same incident. Police say they want to get the party responsible for both deaths.

A hashtag named #JusticeforAKA has already been circulated, showing some fans have their own theories about his premature demise. They allege those closest to the artist know more than they have said publicly.

“AKA’s family know he was surrounded by 🐍 snakes.  Steph has spoken out. He ‘so called day ones’ are not calling for his justice! You begin to wonder 🧐🤔 #JusticeforAKA,” one tweeted.

“AKA’s “day ones” are so quiet for his justice. #JusticeForAKA.”

Charleston White Confirms He Got Boosie’s Son Arrested

We no longer have to speculate.

Charleston White has gone on the record to state that he was the one that got Tootie Raww, Lil Boosie’s son, arrested. This silly stuff has to stop. First of all, Tootie Raww is 19 years old and Charleston White is about 50 and up. He looks 55 or more to me! Anyway, this grown ass man and this teenager have been going at it for quite some time on social media. White claims Tootie threatened to kill him. So, when it was mutually known that they would both be at massive festival SXSW, White called the Austin Police. He informed them that Tootie Raww had drugs and guns on him.

I don’t know for sure, but it seems like the APD took everything CW said as gospel and arrested Boosie’s son. Apparently, he spent the night in jail and left with the paperwork that I mentioned in a previous post. I am thinking Boosie should holla at his son and give him the game. If he doesn’t, this could be a rough road for him. On top of that, CW said that he wanted to get KING, who is T.I.’s son. Remember, Tip and Boosie are no longer friends, but their kids are. They may be forced to come together for a common foe in a bit.

What does Charleston White even do?

What is more sad is that we are still calling the cops on people. Right? A Black man was found decapitated recently and the cops said there was no foul play. So, I am thinking we need to do things a bit differently.

Nick Cannon Says Mariah Carey Is A Gift From God

Actor/musician/comedian Nick Cannon may be the father of a dozen kids with multiple women, but he maintains R&B/Pop legend Mariah Carey holds a special place in his heart.

The Shade Room sat down with Nick Cannon for an interview. During the discussion, the 42-year-old The Masked Singer host answered a personal question by mentioning his ex-wife.

“Like the greatest? I mean, I always talk about that,” said Cannon when asked who is the love of his life. “Then it goes viral and all of her fans get mad at me. But I was 12 years old with Mariah Carey pictures on my wall and that becomes my wife. And the fact that she’s the coolest person I ever met.”

The Wild ‘n Out creator added, “I get a lot of this delightful disposition from her. She’s just always happy, always doing for others. No matter what’s happening in life.”

He continued, “I’m like, ‘Wow, a person can really operate like that and don’t allow negative energy into their space.’ When I found out about her and saw how remarkable she was, that woman is not human. She’s a gift from God.”

Last year, Nick Cannon released a single titled “Alone” on Valentine’s Day. The track samples Mariah Carey’s “Love Takes Time” song. “Alone” served as a precursor to the performer’s The Explicit Tape: Raw & B which dropped in May 2022.

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey married on April 30, 2008. The two celebrities had two children together – fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe Cannon. They officially divorced in 2016.

The Chi-Raq star also has ten other children with Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, Bre Tiesi, LaNisha Cole, and Alyssa Scott. Cannon’s five-month-old son, Zen Cannon, passed away from brain cancer in December 2021.

Earlier this month, Nick Cannon revealed that his new Celebrity Prank Wars television show will debut on the E! network. Cannon’s Real Husbands of Hollywood castmate Kevin Hart is also part of the upcoming program.

Royce Da 5’9″ Praises T.I. And Tiny Following Son Messiah Harris’ Viral Video

Royce da 5’9″ is giving T.I. and Tiny their flowers or showing the world an example of great parenting while under the harsh glare of the public eye.

The Family Hustle stars have faced criticism about their parenting after one of their six children was arrested last year. T.I. publicly addressed his son’s questionable actions after King Harris was criticized for portraying a street image following his legal troubles last August.

“I know my son,” said T.I. in a video posted to Instagram. “Think I ain’t spoke to my son? Think I ain’t told my son, his mama, and his grandmama? His ass is going to prison if he keeps that s### up, his ass is going to prison.”

However, Royce Da 5’9″ said the public gaze is overly focused on anything negative about T.I.’s kids while ignoring their talents. He praised Tip and his wife Tiny in a lengthy Instagram post, sharing a viral video of son Messiah Harris strumming along to his guitar to Supertramp’s 1977 hit “Give a Little Bit.”

“The “unacceptable” behavior of “ONE” of @tip ‘s children not only went viral but came to incredible levels of disrespect, judgement and uninformed opinions/scrutiny, Royce began, presumably a reference to the backlash the family faced following King’s arrest last year. “This is yet another one of his children displaying a God given talent as well as a skill that you don’t just acquire without some form of support and guidance.”

Royce went on to say he heard about one of Tip’s kids “’acting out’ without even looking at my phone.” However, he “barely” saw any hype around Messiah’s video. According to the Detroit native, this “says more about the culture than it does the Parents.”

Royce Da 5’9″ Says T.I. And Tiny Are An Inspiration

“Now spread this around the same way you do when you wanna criticize and gossip… Or mind ya bizness,” Royce declared. “Kudos to @tip x His lovely wife for showing the world that we can be parents, artists, executives and whatever else we put our minds to. We can do it in the public eye without pretending to be perfect… 🫡”

Check out his post below, which T.I. shared via his Instagram Story, adding, “What [Royce Da 5’9″ said.”

Cam’ron Teases Advice Talk Show To Rival Dr. Phil

Cameron Giles is more than just a Platinum-selling Hip Hop artist. The East Harlem native, better known as Cam’ron, is a media figure as well.

It looks as of Cam’ron wants to expand his work as an on-screen personality. After already launching the It Is What It Is sports talk show, the Dipset general may move into the “life strategies” space.

“It’s called Come And Talk To Me, where I give advice,” stated Cam’ron in an Instagram Story post. “I’m taking Dr. Phil and them n##### outta here. Dr. Phil, y’all n#####’ days are numbered. I’m taking everybody outta here.”

The Purple Haze album creator further warned longtime daytime television host Phil McGraw. He said, “Dr. Phil, you might as well wrap your s### up because I’m doing everybody Black or Brown, not even Black and Brown, every race.”

Apparently, Cam’ron will not hold back his opinions on a potential Come And Talk To Me program. The 47-year-old rapper/actor also focused his pitch on men who cheat on their significant other and how he would address that relationship drama.

“I’m gonna tell them the real advice they need to hear and stop trying to act like, ‘Well, we got my friend in the crowd, he’s a specialist. Hey, what do you think?’ Nah n####, stop cheating on a b####, n####. You be talking bout your girl’s crazy and all this crazy s###, but you be coming home at 5, 6, 7, 8 o’clock in the morning every morning,” offered Cam’ron.

In addition to dropping music projects like 2002’s Come Home with Me and 2004’s Purple Haze, Cam’ron also starred in films such as Paid in Full and Killa Season. The former Roc-A-Fella Records signee also hosted Paramount+’s Hip Hop My House series.
