Killer Mike said the government must do better when it comes to righting the wrongs of the war on drugs.
The entrepreneur rapper responded to the news that the Biden administration granted clemency to over 70 inmates convicted of low-level drug offenses or non-violent crimes.
President Biden has granted clemency to 78 individuals — all of whom were convicted of low-level drug offenses or nonviolent crimes. Three people were pardoned, and 75 received commutations of their sentences.
He told TMZ that they should have released “quadruple” the number of prisoners, and more needs to be done.
Killer Mike explained that he believes non-violent drug offenders “should be first priority to get the state license” to enable them to open cannabis dispensaries. He believes that’s the only way the feds can “repent for a drug war gone terribly wrong.”
He went on to say that those that will make “billions” in profit from the cannabis industry “owe the people that were outlawed and paved the way.”
Killer Mike has a new docuseries centered around the evolution of cannabis culture and legalization and believes it should be legal for adults to consume.
“You are an adult; no one can tell you what type of corn to buy or put in your mouth. Even alcohol — which is sugar and alcohol and much worse for you than marijuana,” he explained during a recent interview. “I think marijuana should be legal from day one for adult usage. It should be up to you what you put inside your body and out.
Meanwhile, Michael “Killer Mike” Render revealed he and El-P “were in the studio together,” cooking up. “We may have messed around and started ‘Run The Jewels 5’. So we’ll see what happens.”
The G Unit boss shared a snippet of the interview on Instagram, giving his take on her claims. According to Fiddy, Megan Thee Stallion hesitated before answering, so she’s not telling the truth.
“Now that I don’t believe, she had to think about her answer,” 50 Cent penned in the caption. “SMH all this s### is crazy.”
In the clip, Megan The Stallion is asked if she had an intimate relationship with Tory. “Like sexual?” she responds before King presses her to answer the question. “Um, I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory,” she says, after a brief pause.
Megan Thee Stallion Claps Back At Tory Lanez Supporter
When the trailer for the interview was released, some questioned why Megan Thee Stallion was allowed to speak on the case while Tory Lanez is prohibited from speaking on it. She responded to one who posted their opinion on the situation.
“Crazy how Meg gets to speak on whomever platform or song about the situation but tory or he goes to jail being its still an open investigation,” wrote one Twitter user.
Megan replied, “So A man can shoot me, chop up horse legs in music videos to taunt me, pay blogs to spread false information from what’s happening in court, record studio albums and make diss tracks … but when I talk to gayle king that’s the last straw? F### YALL.”
Tory Lanez is barred from discussing the case in public, and was recently arrested for violating the rule. He was later released on a $350,000 bond, and the pair are expected to return to court on Aug. 17.
Corey Gamble took the stand in the Blac Chyna trial and claimed he saw her whip and threaten to kill Rob Kardashian during a fight.
According to Kris Jenner’s longtime boyfriend, the incident occurred at Kylie Jenner’s house early on Dec. 15, 2016. He explained to the Los Angeles Court on Tuesday (Apr. 26) that Rob and Chyna had been staying at the house when the altercation occurred.
Page Six report Gamble testified that he and Kris Jenner were awoken that night by a call from Rob. He claimed he could hear Blac Chyna screaming in the background. She shouted to Rob, “F### you, I’m a kill you fat mother f#####.”
Gamble then raced the few blocks to Kylie Jenner’s house after telling Kris to stay home, fearing the situation could be dangerous. He said he could hear Blac Chyna shouting at Rob and threatening that she “would kill him,” before he entered.
Upon entering the home, Gamble claims he saw Blac Chyna standing about seven feet away from Rob with a rod in her hand, which she dropped when she saw him. She then picked up a phone cord and launched at Rob.
He claims Blac Chyna, “started whipping it at him. She was hitting Rob and I got in the middle and got hit too. I had to try to get her attention on me so [Rob] could get his belongings and get out of the house. I could smell the alcohol on her.”
Rob then walked out the front door and attempted to leave, but Gamble’s car had blocked the exit. Gamble alleges Blac Chyna then threw a chair at Rob’s car before continuing to attack him.
“She jumped on the back of him and punched him on the back of his head,” Gamble testified. “She tried to get the small table to throw it at him but Rob was already in his car.”
Gamble then stayed with Chyna to ensure she would not follow Rob when he left.
“I asked her what was going on and she yelled that she hated him … she didn’t like him,” Gamble said. “She said, ‘Why would I like this fat f##### if he wasn’t a part of this family?’”
Corey Gamble testified on behalf of the Kardashians in the lawsuit filed by Blac Chyna. She is suing the family for defamation and allegedly interfering with her contract for the second season of her show, “Rob & Chyna.” Earlier in the trial, Kylie Jenner testified that Blac Chyna threatened to kill her for dating Tyga. She also claims the rapper told her Chyna slashed him with a knife.
The Brooklyn rapper posted a video on Tuesday (Apr. 26) of his meeting with Durk’s look-alike who goes by the nickname Perkio. Tekashi is seen taking a jacket out of a bag before draping it over Perkio’s shoulders. He then makes sure to show the camera the back of the jacket, which has an image of Lil Durk’s late cousin, King Von. While Perkio appears unaware of the image on the back, he is visibly uncomfortable with the situation.
6ix9ine, who recently took a shot at Lil Durk in the “GINE” video, tagged him in the caption and wrote: “I had a gift for the bro ❤️ @kingvonfrmdao your n##### ain’t never gon slide but they definitely rep you all day on tshirts.”
Several other videos of the encounter began emerging on social media and Perkio took to Instagram Live, claiming that he was bamboozled.
Lil Durk Responds
However, it appears Lil Durk was otherwise engaged and didn’t see any of the drama until late on Tuesday night. “Brooooooo I just not seen this s### today on the internet,” he tweeted. “This s### crazy everybody calling and texting me we went #1 again thank y’all lol 😂”
Brooooooo I just not seen this s### today on the internet this s### crazy everybody calling and texting me we went #1 again thank y’all lol 😂
Meanwhile, Perkio explained that he had arranged to meet a YouTuber and was uncomfortable when the rapper and his entourage showed up.
“His crew, he had a lot of n##### around him too,” Perkio said. “Like, they all came, and then, there was that jacket. And then they start throwing, like, everybody ambushed me, literally. Like, he threw the jacket on me. Like, this n#### was pressing his arms right here. He was pressing and then I’m like, yo, I was looking at him.”
He also stated that he previously made clear he didn’t want to be in any video with Tekashi or be involved in any Lil Durk trolling. “Before that, I was like, you know, I don’t want to do no video with 6ix9ine,” Perkio continued. “None of that. I said I don’t want to disrespect OTF, I don’t want to disrespect Durk, I don’t want to disrespect nobody. You feel me?”
A man is hoping to secure a default judgment in his lawsuit against Famous Dex.
According to FOX 11 in Los Angeles, Michael Francati is asking for a total of $172,586 after accusing the embattled rapper of stealing a watch and lying to police about it. Famous Dex hasn’t responded to Francati’s lawsuit.
Francati sued Famous Dex for theft, intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraudulent misrepresentation, negligent misrepresentation and unjust enrichment, among other claims.
The plaintiff has attempted to get a default judgment on two occasions, but a judge has found faults with both of his applications. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Teresa Beaudet had issues with a lack of evidence for the value of the watch and emotional distress damages in February.
Judge Beaudet also raised concerns about Francati seeking $41,000 in compensatory damages and the evidence to justify special damages and attorneys’ fees on Monday (April 25). A third default judgment hearing has been scheduled for June 28.
Francati claims Famous Dex, whose real name is Dexter Tiewon Gore Jr., stole a luxury watch in 2021. The plaintiff says he agreed to let the 28-year-old artist show off the watch on Instagram. The Chicago-bred rapper allegedly drove off with the watch when Francati handed it over outside the Saticoy Smoke Shop in Van Nuys.
Famous Dex then told Francati that four men robbed him and took the watch. The plaintiff reported the robbery yet ended up in the back of a police car.
“I was handcuffed and placed in the back seat of the police car for a prolonged time because Famous Dex, lying to the officers, told them that I had allegedly staged the robbery and set him up to be arrested,” Francati said.
Later that night, Francati saw Famous Dex with the watch on Instagram.

Pharrell is bringing his Something in the Water Festival to the nation’s capital.
The Neptunes member’s festival heads to Washington, D.C. for Juneteenth Weekend (June 17-19). Pharrell moved the event from his hometown of Virginia Beach to D.C. after Virginia Beach police killed his cousin Donovan Lynch in 2021.
“Something in the Water is a Black solution (LOVE) for a systemic issue, and this year we are taking our celebration to a higher platform – the nation’s capital during Juneteenth Weekend,” Pharrell said in a press release. “We want to show the world that there is Something in the Water across the whole DMV, and I want to continue to bring awareness to the greatness within these communities and invite large corporations to show up for the people.”
Pharrell added, “D.C. has always been a deep inspiration to me as a person and a musician. It is the land where Go-Go Music was birthed which has provided so much for our people. Our sponsors continue to go the extra mile to show that Something in the Water is so much more than a festival. The goodwill we generate is a defining trait of who we are. We will always have the hottest artists, but to pair that energy with these brands showing up for the community is what makes this festival a vehicle for change.”
Ashanti, Ja Rule, J.I.D, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, Moneybagg Yo, Pusha T, Run The Jewels, Saba, Teyana Taylor, Tierra Whack, T.I. and Tyler, The Creator have been booked for the event.
Pharrell will perform with “Phriends” at the festival. Something in the Water’s official flyer also teases “some people we can’t announce.”
Tickets for the 2022 Something in the Water Festival go on sale to the general public on April 30.

Benzino will step into a boxing ring for a fight, but it won’t be against 50 Cent.
Aaron Carter has been booked as Benzino’s opponent for an upcoming celebrity boxing match. The bout will take place at the Charles Dodge Center in Pembroke Pines, Florida on June 11.
“I’m gonna be at the Charles Dodge Center,” Benzino said in a video promoting the fight. “Pembroke Pines, Florida, June 11. Celebrity boxing match. I’ma break Aaron Carter’s jaw, alright, in front of the world. Make sure y’all there.”
He added, “Shout out to Damon Feldman of Celebrity Boxing. Make sure y’all there because, listen, I’ma break this dude’s jaw for a lot of reasons, alright. Be at the press conference, May 12. And believe it’s going down.”
Benzino originally campaigned for a fight with his rival 50 Cent, but the G-Unit rapper never responded to the challenge. 50 Cent has repeatedly trolled Benzino over rumors about a relationship with a transgender woman.
Carter previously competed in a celebrity boxing match against former NBA player Lamar Odom in 2021. Odom knocked out Carter in the second round.
Tickets for the Benzino vs. Carter fight are on sale now. The event will feature appearances by Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav and producer Scott Storch.
Multiple women have accused Tim Westwood of sexual misconduct.
The veteran DJ faces allegations of groping and predatory sexual behavior. Seven women recall his alleged misconduct in an investigation conducted by the BBC and the Guardian.
Three women accuse the DJ of predatory sexual behavior after meeting with him to discuss the music industry or their own work. The alleged victims were 17, 19 and 20 at the time of the incidents.
Four other women claim Tim Westwood groped them. They say his unwanted touching occurred while posing for photos with him at events.
All seven of the women are Black and haven’t spoken to each other. They have chosen to remain anonymous.
Tim Westwood’s alleged misconduct dates back to 1992. The most recent incident uncovered in the investigation occurred in 2017.
The women shared their stories after Tim Westwood was accused of sexual misconduct in 2020. The DJ insisted he’d done nothing wrong at the time.
Lawyers for the DJ have denied the latest allegations against him.
“Any suggestion that he acts, or has acted, in the way described would be false and seriously defamatory,” they said.
The BBC and the Guardian’s investigation includes detailed accounts of the seven women’s experiences with the DJ. BBC Three also released a documentary titled Tim Westwood: Abuse of Power, which explores the allegations.

Airplane James isn’t your typical Los Angeles rapper, and he’s perfectly okay with that. Coming out of the east side of South Central Los Angeles, the rising star has been grinding and putting in the work, with his eyes set on becoming one of the greats. Whether he’s dropping bars or doing the slow jams, James prides himself in his authenticity, going from “East LA s### to deep, thought-provoking s### in the middle of all that too.”
In describing himself, James simply states, “I’m just a regular dude that just so happened to be into rap forreal. It’s not too many extras on me.”
Earlier this year, James landed a high score on A Day In La’s The New LA Rap Report Card with a B-, causing a stir amongst his West Coast peers. He then unleashed his Who TF Is Airplane James? 2 project, stemming off the success of Power 106 radio personality Justin Credible playing his song “100 Bandz” on the radio.
Fast forward to today, James is as excited as ever to be unleashing his highly-anticipated new project titled Lowkey Hurt, spearheaded by lead single “BEFORE.”
AllHipHop: What is East LA like, as opposed to the rest of LA?
Airplane James: East LA is somewhere else. [laughs] I’m from the East side of LA, East side of South Central. I’d say Broadway, Manchester area. Now you’re going over to Slauson, Crenshaw area, that’s the West side. People are not familiar with the East side like that, but s### we got some artists from there. G Perico, Bluebucks Clan, AzChike, it’s a lot of people from the East side. We’re on top now baby!
AllHipHop: What was your upbringing like in LA?
Airplane James: It was a lot going on but I don’t have one of them crazy ass — I mean, my story is kind of crazy. But as far as something dangerous, I don’t have that type of story. My upbringing was pretty regular. Granny didn’t let me come off the front porch until I was like 12, because we lived in the middle of some s###. It was about 3 gangs down in my neighborhood, so she was very afraid for us. We had to play in the backyard, couldn’t come outside until I was 12. Once she did that, I ran the streets. I went wild.
AllHipHop: When did you fall in love with music?
Airplane James: The moment I seen Lil Wayne with that orange bandana on, “Tha Block Is Hot.” Whenever that was, I was in elementary. I seen that and wanted to be him. I had been wanting to put words together ever since.
AllHipHop: How did you and Problem meet initially? How does it feel to be part of Diamond Lane Records?
Airplane James: That’s big bro. I always was around him. People don’t know, I was the lil homie that was around. I was doing music, but n*ggas wasn’t really taking my music serious. I wasn’t taking my music serious at the time either. Once I took that leap, I got in the studio with them. My big homie from the neighborhood come in contact with them. We linked in the studio and from that point on, it was just magic. We just meshed well. He’s a teacher and I’m a person who likes to listen and pick up game, we meshed from that point on.
AllHipHop: It was a big moment when Problem put you on his project, bring us back to “Top Off.”
Airplane James: 9th Wonder produced it and that s### went crazy. I was already taking it serious, but I’m at the video shoot like damn I’m really on a song with Problem and 9th Wonder! I’m like aw yeah, if they approve it, then somebody out there will take me serious. Period, they take it serious. So that’s how I looked at it.
Airplane James: It was dope. My head’s down so much where I just try to keep my shovel in the dirt and keep digging: keep working, keep working. I don’t really like to look up at accolades. The grade was cool though. Who wouldn’t want to be ranked high? It was dope, but I have more work to do. I don’t like to sit there and dwell on the W’s I guess.
AllHipHop: You just released “BEFORE,” who or what inspired this record?
Airplane James: I had released Eastside Special 2. All the music I’ve released prior to before was an ode to my section, the city where I come from type s###. This new s###, I wanted to dig a little deeper on who I am. When I leave the homies, who am I during that car ride home? What do I go through? “BEFORE” is from that: relationships and being vulnerable. Basically telling a woman you really had me f##### up.
AllHipHop: Does the woman know it’s about her?
Airplane James: I’m sure, if she hears it. The first few words she’ll know fasho. She’s blocked on everything though, I don’t know if she’ll listen. [laughs]
AllHipHop: What was the highlight from shooting the video?
Airplane James: Getting my acting on. I always wanted to do some f###### acting and I think I nailed It. I could get a little better, but that was the highlight. I finally got to do some acting s###, and step behind the camera and help direct the s###.
https://orcd.co/apjlowkeyhurt
AllHipHop: What can we expect from your new album, Lowkey Hurt?
Airplane James: You could just expect more vulnerability, more personal stories. It’s just a vibe. I took this time period I was in my life with women, discovering self and made it into a project. That’s what you would hear. It won’t be a bunch of turn up, it’s more personal stories on there.
AllHipHop: What’s the significance in the title?
Airplane James: It’s really n##### don’t ever wanna admit they’re hurt. [laughs] I’m still outside though, f### it. That s### lowkey hurt. It’s like I’m opening up and letting you in, but I still have to be a n*gga in these streets.
AllHipHop: What are you most excited for with the release of the project?
Airplane James: Just the reception. To see how people take to it after coming off of “100 Bandz,” “Impress me,” these upbeat turnt up records that are doing well, I want to see how people react and receive this new music.
AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?
Airplane James: Water, good producers, and that’s pretty much it. I don’t need a whole lot of s###. Maybe liquor or maybe some gummy bears. There’s these gummy bears I get from the gas station, they’re called Gourmet. They have sherbert ice cream flavor. My birthday just passed so if you want to get me a late gift, run me those.
AllHipHop: How was it hearing “100 Bandz” on the radio?
Airplane James: That feeling never gets old, ever. I could hear my s### tomorrow and feel the same way. I’m like a kid. You grew up in the city, listening to that radio station then finally hearing your s###, it’s a pinch yourself moment. Damn, that’s really me on there!
AllHipHop: Top 5 artists of all-time?
Airplane James: My s### be rotating. My s### a few weeks ago was horrendous, I don’t even want to tell people. Aw s###. Kanye, Drake, see it’s tricky. [laughs] I’m a go with Lil Wayne for sure, Andre 3000, and Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg’s the greatest Crip of all-time. You could go anywhere on this continent and they’ll be like “Snoop Dogg!” I need a feature from Snoop before he retires. I feel like it’s in my grasp. I don’t know why it hasn’t happened yet.
AllHipHop: Snoop is about his bread.
Airplane James: Right, I’m about mine too. Snoop, let’s collab on some s### baby! Take this s### to the top.
AllHipHop: What are you most excited for next?
Airplane James: Man! I just wanna see what happens with that. I have more s### I’m working on. It’s going to be a deluxe for that, I ain’t told nobody yet. You’re the first person.
AllHipHop: Does that mean there are features on the deluxe?
Airplane James: Mmm, that remains to be seen. I can’t tell you all that, but just know the deluxe is coming. I’m excited about that and we’re going to put out a lot of music this year. This won’t be the last little project you hear from me this year. I’m excited about building and continuing to grow the brand.
AllHipHop: How was it linking with Bino Ridaeux on “Impress Me”?
Airplane James: That n*gga’s a good dude. I had been wanting to get in with him. His manager at the time, Jay Shepp, was supposed to link us, but it didn’t happen for whatever reason. I had did this Louisiana Eastside Special pop up event, he saw it like “bro, you’re doing it right. You’re dope.” He reached out to me like like “pull up to the studio.” I pulled up to the studio, caught a vibe. We’re the same type of dude, he’s funny as f###. We’re both goofy. We just did music. I hopped on some of his s###. I played him” Impress Me,” he got on that s### and that’s how it happened.
AllHipHop: What do you like to do when you’re not doing music?
Airplane James: When I’m not doing music, I really like to be at the crib doing regular s###, watching shows and s###. Going to the park, playing ball. I like to play pick-up ball like a muthafucka. I be into my shows. I like to do regular s###, that’s it. The music s###, you be everywhere in music. On my off-time, when I’m not doing it I like to center myself. Get it together, relax.
AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let us know?
Airplane James: Lowkey Hurt out now! That’s it baby, Lowkey Hurt!
In a statement obtained by editors at The Hollywood Reporter, executives revealed that they have settled on a new creative vision for the program and will “adjust” the cast and crew accordingly.
“The Idol’s creative team continues to build, refine, and evolve their vision for the show and they have aligned on a new creative direction,” a spokesperson commented. “The production will be adjusting its cast and crew accordingly to best serve this new approach to the series. We look forward to sharing more information soon.”
The Weeknd, his producing partner Reza Fahim, and “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson announced the project last June.
Joseph Epstein later signed on as showrunner, while Amy Seimetz is to serve as the director.
Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, and Steve Zissis have been cast as series regulars, while Melanie Liburd, Tunde Adebimpe, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, Nico Hiraga, and Anne Heche were set to recur.
A rep for HBO didn’t announce the roles that are being recast.
Pusha T has weighed in on Kid Cudi and Kanye West’s bitter feud.
Earlier this year, the hip-hop stars fell out after Kanye blasted Kid Cudi, who used to be signed to his G.O.O.D. Music label, for being friends with Pete Davidson, who is dating his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
In an interview with Vulture, Pusha reflected on the situation, which is awkward for him as they all collaborated on a song titled “Rock n Roll” for his new album It’s Almost Dry.
Acknowledging that the tension “sucks,” the star explained: “You know Cudi is my f###### brother to the end. Just navigating these relationships, this brotherhood, the arguing… it gets public. It’s one thing for us to argue. We all argue – that’s not a problem. It gets out there, whether it’s Ye bickering first, or Cudi coming back with what he says. It’s super f##### up.”
Pusha, real name Terrence Thornton, also claimed that Kanye and Kid Cudi were on great terms back when they recorded the track a year ago.
“Everybody was so f###### happy,” he recounted. “Ye’s chopping the Beyoncé sample. Cudi happens to come in that day. We see each other, and I hadn’t seen him in a while. He’s like, ‘I gotta get on a record. Are you crazy?’ Cudi did, like, three or four different references. Beyoncé cleared the sample. There was so much great energy around the making of that record.”
Despite the drama, Pusha noted that Kid Cudi still cleared “Rock n Roll” for release after the fallout: “He did what he did for his bro, and I love him for that.”
Lil Durk recently paused a show to call out a man in the crowd who was allegedly trying to fight a woman.
A video shows the rapper pointing out one of his concertgoers at the Bridgeport, Connecticut stop of his “7220 Tour.”
“I just seen the most craziest s### in the crowd, man,” Durk told the audience. “I just seen a n#### tryna fight a girl, man. Slow down bro, you know? Where he at? Where he at who just tried to fight a girl, man?”
After locating the man, Durk addressed him: “Aye bro, why you tryna fight girls, bro? I should come over there and f### you up. Yeah. We really like that for sure. I’d make your ass apologize right now. Deadass and you a hoe. You a hoe.”
When the video was reposted on Instagram, a user claiming to be the man said he was defending his girlfriend against another woman.
“Durk aint understand the situation,” the user wrote.
Two high-profile female rappers will tour together later this year. Lizzo will head out on her North American “The Special Tour” with Atlanta-based rhymer Latto as a special guest.

Lizzo dropped her new single “About Damn Time” on April 14. The Ricky Reed/Black Slatkin-produced track will appear on the Atlantic recording artist’s upcoming Special studio LP.
Lizzo recruited fellow Grammy winner Cardi B for the 2021 “Rumors” single. That collaboration peaked at #4 on Billboard‘s weekly Hot 100 song chart. The RIAA certified “Rumors” as Gold with 500,000 units sold.
Special will join a Lizzo catalog that contains 2013’s Lizzobangers, 2015’s Big Grrrl Small World, and 2019’s Cuz I Love You. Latto released her own 777 studio LP in March. The RCA artist’s sophomore album features 21 Savage, Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, Lil Durk, Nardo Wick, and Kodak Black.
Benito “Bad Bunny” Ocasio will take on a big movie role for Sony Pictures. The Puerto Rican rapper/singer is set to star as Marvel Comics character El Muerto in a forthcoming motion picture.
According to Marvel.com, El Muerto (aka Juan Carlos) is a super-powered Mexican wrestler. The powers and the mask of El Muerto have been passed down through generations.

Bad Bunny’s jump to the silver screen comes after he became a global superstar as a recording artist. He scored his first Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper in the United States as a guest on Cardi B’s “I Like It” along with J Balvin. In addition, El Ultimo Tour del Mundo spent one week at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart in 2020.
Four years ago, Chicago’s Kanye “Ye” West and Cleveland’s Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi joined forces to present the Gold-certified Kids See Ghosts collaborative project. Fast forward to the present day, and both Hip Hop performers are no longer on speaking terms.
Kid Cudi responded to Ye by tweeting, “We talked weeks ago about this. You’re whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain’t no friend. BYE.”

Despite the bad blood between the midwesterners, Kid Cudi and Kanye West did appear together on Pusha T’s new album It’s Almost Dry. A track titled “Rock N Roll” features Ye and Cudi.
“Hey! So I know some of you heard about the song I got [with] Pusha. I did this song a year ago when I was still cool [with] Kanye. I am not cool [with] that man. He’s not my friend and I only cleared the song for Pusha [because that’s] my guy. This is the last song [you] will hear me on [with] Kanye,” tweeted Kid Cudi last week.

Pusha T Calls “Rock N Roll” One Of The “Hot Joints” On His Album
Over the last several days, Pusha T took part in several interviews to promote It’s Almost Dry. The Virginia-raised rapper recently showed up on SiriusXM’s Shade 45 with Gray Rizzy. That conversation included Pusha talking about Kanye West and Kid Cudi.
“I think right now, I’m gonna just let them have their space. You couldn’t even imagine the amount of talking I even had to do just in regards to getting the record for the album cleared,” Pusha T told Gray Rizzy.
Pusha added, “Which is now proven to be one of the hot joints from the album, which I know the label’s gonna be like, ‘We got to shoot this video…’ Cudi is definitely very strong-willed. He’s standing on what he’s standing on.”
The 44-year-old emcee went on to say that Kid Cudi has always been one of his most ardent backers. Despite the current state of their personal relationship, Pusha T still believes the hostility between Cudi and Ye is fixable.
“Brothers fight. That’s it. Brothers fight. Sometimes it goes far. Hopefully, we can all figure it out though,” stated Pusha T. Plus, he recalled the energy being “high” during the studio session for “Rock N Roll” with Kanye West and Kid Cudi.
Megan “Thee Stallion” Pete’s sit-down interview with CBS Mornings became a hot topic this week. The “Savage” hitmaker spoke to veteran journalist Gayle King about the highly-publicized shooting, supposedly involving Tory Lanez, that took place in July 2020.
Over the course of her conversation with King, Megan recalled the night when singer/rapper Tory Lanez allegedly fired a gun at her feet in Hollywood Hills, California. Meg fought back tears as she told her side of the story on the morning television program.
Some Tory Lanez supporters took issue with Megan being able to speak to the press about the conflicting situation. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight‘s Kevin Frazier, Gayle King indicated an interest in speaking with Lanez too.
“I would love to talk to Tory Lanez if he ever wanted to speak as well,” said Gayle King. “We certainly have an open invitation to him. We reached out to his attorney and we got the traditional ‘we don’t have anything to say at this particular time’ [response].”
Tory Lanez Cannot Talk About The Assault Case Or Megan Thee Stallion
Authorities booked Lanez (born Daystar Peterson) for the violation. He was later released on a $350,000 bond. The Canadian recording artist has always maintained he did not shoot Megan Thee Stallion.
Lanez pled not guilty to felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in state prison.
“We look forward to addressing Ms. Pete’s claims – including all its inconsistencies, discrepancies, and omissions – in a court of law,” read a statement attorney Shawn Holley sent to CBS Mornings on behalf of Tory Lanez.

Some sports pundits, such as ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, questioned Ben Simmons’s decision to not play for the Brooklyn Nets in the team’s playoff game against the Boston Celtics. Smith went on a tirade against the Australian-born basketball player.
“Ben Simmons might also be the weakest, most pathetic excuse for a professional athlete we have ever seen in, not just American history, but the history of sports,” said Stephen A. Smith on his First Take show.
The Shade Room shared Smith’s commentary on Instagram which amassed over 1.2 million views and 7,000 comments on the page. Oscar-winning actor/Grammy-winning singer Jamie Foxx added his thoughts under the post as well.
Jamie Foxx wrote:
That is completely unfair @bensimmons has a family this man has people that love him and this man just plays basketball but to be dragged through the mud like this is unfair…. and why is it @stephenasmith you only go at basketball players… You [are] completely mute when it comes to the Tom Bradys [and] the Aaron Rodgers of the world… You get where I’m going… stop it bruh it’s out of bounds.

Ben Simmons reportedly suffered a herniated disk in his lower back that prevented him from returning to the court. He also expressed concerns about mental readiness. The Celtics defeated the Nets 116-112 on Monday, sweeping the Brooklyn team in the best-of-seven series.
