Bad Bunny Leads 2022 American Music Award Nominations

While the Grammys are currently the most-talked-about award ceremony on social media thanks to a Twitter feud involving Nicki Minaj and Latto, the American Music Awards announced their 2022 nominations yesterday.

This year’s American Music Awards also acknowledged Beyoncé, Drake, and Taylor Swift with six nominations each. Adele, Harry Styles, and The Weeknd all scored five nominations.

Future & Jack Harlow Both Scored Four Nods

Bad Bunny is up against Adele, Beyoncé, Drake, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd for Artist of The Year. More than forty artists received their first-ever AMA nomination this year, including Jack Harlow (4), Tems (4), and Latto (3).

The Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist category includes Drake, Future, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Baby, and Lil Durk. The American Music Awards will present Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist to Cardi B, GloRilla, Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, or Nicki Minaj.

Future’s I Never Liked You, Gunna’s DS4Ever, Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Lil Durk’s 7220, and Polo G’s Hall of Fame 2.0 received Favorite Hip-Hop Album nominations for the 2022 American Music Awards.

Fans Get To Help Pick The AMA Winners

The AMA for Favorite Hip-Hop Song will go to “Wait For U” by Future featuring Drake and Tems, “First Class” by Jack Harlow, “Super Gremlin” by Kodak Black, “Big Energy” by Latto, or “Industry Baby” by Lil Nas X featuring Jack Harlow.

“34+35 (Remix)” collaborators Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat were among the big winners at the 2021 American Music Awards. The 2022 American Music Awards will air live from Microsoft Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 20 at 8 pm EST/PST on ABC. Fans can vote for the potential winners at VoteAMAs.com or on Twitter.

Latto Posts Phone Conversation With Nicki Minaj As The Rappers Clash On Twitter

Many music fans woke up this morning to learn that Latto and Nicki Minaj have serious beef. An overnight spat between the two rappers played out for hours on social media.

While the feud went public on Thursday, the two music stars seemed to have had some level of personal conflict for months. Rumors suggested an interview Latto did with Jason Lee did not sit well with Nicki Minaj. Latto talked about how more female rappers are “thriving” now versus the time period when Minaj basically ruled alone.

The most recent online altercation apparently began because Nicki Minaj took issue with the Grammy committee moving her “Super Freaky Girl” single to the Pop category. Minaj specifically called out Latto’s “Big Energy” remaining in contention for rap-focused Grammys.

As a result, Latto fired back at Nicki Minaj which led to both women posting numerous tweets taking aim at each other. Minaj eventually deleted most of her tweets, but her current adversary kept her tweets about Minaj on the platform.

One of Latto’s tweets read, “With all this being said this wasn’t JUST about a Grammy category. U being funny bringing me up to defend [your] case knowing our last convo didn’t end on good terms. U literally told me I’m not ‘flourishing’ and no one cares about my ‘little song’ [on the phone]. lol. @NICKIMINAJ.”

Around 4 am ET, Latto uploaded audio of what appeared to be a phone conversation with Nicki Minaj. She captioned the tweet, “Lemme specify I’m sorry. I’m delusional for saying ‘we’re’ (newer female rappers) are flourishing & [you] said no one cares about my little song LYRICS my bad. FYI, I only recorded [because] I KNOW who [the f###] I’m playing [with] #40yroldbully.”

In the conversation, Latto can be heard saying, “I’ve done nothing to you.” Minaj responds, “I’m acting crazy because you said something that is clearly delusional?” Latto then asked, “It’s delusional to say that other girls are flourishing?”

In addition, Latto told Minaj, “I never said you’re no longer running s###. I said that there are other females flourishing. What is the problem with that?” The 777 album creator went on to say she would support Minaj “from the sidelines.”

Latto then explained, “I can’t do it publicly when someone is literally sub-tweeting me for no reason, purposely trying to misinterpret what I’m saying. I respect you too much to go back and forth with you.”

The conversation also included Nicki Minaj telling Latto, “It’s not going to benefit you. You understand? If people around you cared about you, they would’ve told you that’s not going to benefit you.”

Latto asked, “What’s not going to benefit me?” At that point, Nicki Minaj apparently ended the telephone call. As of press time, Latto’s tweet with the phone clips has been retweeted over 5,00 times with more than 14,000 likes.

Nicki Minaj has yet to directly respond to Latto posting their phone conversation. About an hour before Latto shared that audio, Minaj claimed she also recorded the entire exchange. However, the 39-year-old entertainer did not post her version of the call.

#40yroldbully became a trending topic on Twitter as people on the app weighed in on Latto vs Nicki Minaj. Additionally, the names of Minaj’s other longtime rivals, Lil Kim and Remy Ma, trended on the site too. Variety‘s post about Minaj calling out the Grammys is currently one of the top trending tweets.

NLE Choppa Responds To Nicki Minaj Pulling Him Into Her Beef With Latto

All hell broke loose last night on Twitter. Nicki Minaj and Latto engaged in a full-scale social media war over Grammy submissions. NLE Choppa found his name attached to the drama as well.

According to reports, Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” will have to compete in the Pop categories for next year’s Grammy Awards. Minaj reacted to the news by questioning why Latto’s “Big Energy” is still considered a rap song for the ceremony.

This led to a lengthy back-and-forth between 39-year-old Nicki Minaj and 23-year-old Latto. That online feud included accusations of ghostwriting, leaked private messages, and blatant shots directed at family members.

As the Nicki Minaj vs Latto conflict played out on Twitter, NLE Choppa posted a message about music veterans’ treatment of younger talent. Almost instantly, other Twitter users assumed Choppa was throwing shade at Minaj.

“I vow when I become [an] OG in this music s### to never hate on the ones coming up. I vow to lift them up that ladder, I vow to light that torch and keep passing it,” wrote NLE Choppa.

The From Dark to Light mixtape creator continued, “I vow to show love instead of spite, I vow to give the advice needed, I vow to be [an] idol to them and never a rival 💯.”

NLE Choppa Insists His “OG” Tweet Was Not About Nicki Minaj

As mentioned, numerous people online speculated that NLE Choppa took a subliminal shot at Minaj. One Twitter account asked Choppa if his tweet was a response to the Nicki Minaj/Latto situation.

The Memphis native replied, “Naw this regards of people who [are] scared of the potential people have to surpass anyone. You can never block what God [has] in store for you. I’ve dealt with this my whole life.”

Around twenty minutes later Choppa added, “Y’all steady saying I’m talking bout somebody. [I don’t] care what nobody else got going. I’m speaking on PERSONAL experiences I’ve had with people I looked up to before I came up!!”

In a now-deleted tweet, Nicki Minaj addressed NLE Choppa. Minaj shared a DM apparently showing Choppa requested a feature from her. In response, NLE Choppa simply replied, “I wasn’t even talking about you, love.”

Meanwhile, the breaking news clash continues to play out on social media. Grammys, Nicki, Lil Kim, Remy, and #40yearoldbully are all trending on the platform in connection to the bad blood between Nicki Minaj and Latto.

Whoopi Goldberg Wants Nicki Minaj & Lizzo In ‘Sister Act 3’

Whoopi Goldberg confirmed a third installment in the Sister Act movie series is in the works. The EGOT winner hopes to have two music stars appear in the film.

This week’s Hell Of A Week with Charlamagne Tha God featured an interview with Whoopi Goldberg. Charlamagne spoke to his guest about the potential of Sister Act 3 eventually arriving in theaters.

“Yes, it is happening,” responded Whoopi Goldberg when questioned about the rumored sequel. “It takes everything a very long time. We should get the script by the end of this month.”

The View talk show moderator added, “I’m gonna ask for Keke [Palmer] to come in. I want everybody to come in. I want Lizzo to come in. I want everybody. I want the girl with the chest. What’s her name?”

Charlamagne then suggested “the girl with the chest” was Nicki Minaj. Goldberg replied, “I want Nicki to come. I want everybody. I want as many people who want to have some fun because I really desperately need to have some fun.”

Will Nicki & Lizzo Add Working With Whoopi To Their Respective Filmographies?

Nicki Minaj does have some movie experience. The Queens-raised rapper had a part in The Other Woman as well as Barbershop: The Next Cut. She also did voice acting in Ice Age: Continental Drift and The Angry Birds Movie 2.

Lizzo also showed off her acting chops in motion pictures. The “About Damn Time” singer appeared alongside Jennifer Lopez and Cardi B in the comedy-drama Hustlers. Lizzo also provided the voice for Lydia in the animated UglyDolls.

The Whoopi Goldberg-led Sister Act made over $230 million at the global box office in 1992. Sister Act won Outstanding Motion Picture at the NAACP Image Awards and Favorite Comedy Motion Picture at the People’s Choice Awards.

Goldberg also starred in 1993’s Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. The second installment only generated $57 million globally. However, many fans view Sister Act 2 as a cult classic. Partly because its cast includes future Hip Hop legend Lauryn Hill.

Lil Baby Shares New Album ‘It’s Only Me’ Ft. Future, Young Thug, EST Gee & More

Lil Baby has delivered his highly anticipated third studio album, It’s Only Me

Alongside the album, Lil Baby also gave his fans the visuals for “California Breeze.” Watch it below and stream It’s Only Me at the end of the page.

The “Detox” rapper opened up about the length of his new album in a recent interview with The Associated Press.

“I could’ve put 15 songs out and just added seven more songs then put out another album. I could put out two albums in no time,” Lil baby explained. “But I haven’t put nothing out in two years. It’s almost really going on three (years). … I’m not going to drop a deluxe.”

Lil Baby Talks Young Thug & Gunna

Lil Baby also discussed his friends Young Thug and Gunna, currently behind bars while awaiting trial on RICO charges. He said though he talks to Thugger “often,” he tries not to keep it at the forefront of his mind.

“If I think about it too much, I get deep into it. It’s the fact that I know the situation of where we are and what we’ve overcome. I know them personally. I know what they’re doing and what they are not to a certain extent.”

He added, “It’s really scary” as he considers himself “in that same position.” The Atlanta rapper said the case has “by default,” made him more conscious of his lyrics. “ We’re rappers. We’re used to saying a lot of stuff that’s not true, that didn’t happen. It’s art. It’s your imagination,” Lil Baby said. “You can go as far as you want to take it. But now, I have to be very mindful, because I know as much as people who are listening to what I’m saying is a critic.”

Latto Drags Nicki Minaj In Twitter Beef: “Super Freaky Grandma Is Married AND Related” To “Rapists”

The back and forth between Nicki Minaj and Latto, which started over the Grammy Awards nominations, has erupted with the pair hurling insults at each other on social media.

The feud intensified after hours of tweeting on Thursday evening (Oct. 13). “BEEN subbing… super freaky grandma is married AND related to f###### rapists,” Latto tweeted.” You ain’t gone bully me B####! My idol turned rival now u hating!”

Twitter Latto

Nicki Minaj responded: “1.Didn’t care about rape when she was begging for features. 2. Didn’t care about Kodak’s past 3. Didn’t care about the accusations made about Dr. Luke who produced Big Energy 4. News Flash scratch off. I’ve never raped anyone. I’ve inspired millions. You’re one of them BOZO.”

Twitter Nicki Minaj

The beef began when the NYC rapper called out the Grammys over the classification of her song “Super Freaky Girl,” as reported by AllHipHop.com. Nicki submitted the single in the Rap category, but it was reclassified and entered for consideration in the Pop division.

During an Instagram Live session on Thursday, Nicki Minaj said if “SFG” is pop, then so is Latto’s “Big Energy.”

https://www.instagram.com/tv/Cjq8GL9Jhei/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

The two rap ladies then began a back-and-forth on Twitter, with Nicki Minaj blasting Latto, referring to her as “Karen,” and “scratch off,” for remaining silent over the issue. She shared a screenshot of a DM from Latto, who said while she agrees with Nicki, “ion think u need to bring up my name/song to prove ur point.”

Latto then responded to Nicki, claiming she wanted to speak out, “but the way u going about it seems malicious esp. after how we left off,”

She accused Nicki of subtweeting her since March and called her a bully. “You’re asking why I didn’t speak up in ur defense… it’s the same answer I gave u when u asked why I didn’t congratulate you. Ur literally older than my mom tryna be a bully @NICKIMINAJ,” Latto added.

Niki Minaj fired back, calling out Latto for age-shaming while telling the Atlanta-raised rapper: “you look like YOU the one pushing 40.” She then implied that Latto uses ghostwriters and said she only claims to be Black “when it’s beneficial” to her.

Then Latto shared multiple posts she claimed were subtweets from Nicki. “This lady so meticulous w her shade so she can twist it later and act like it wasn’t about you. Stand on that s###.” Latto penned. She claimed she had always shown love, but Nicki refused to say “where the random shade started coming from.”

However, according to Nicki Minaj, Latto concocted a “fake beef” because she turned down her feature requests. “i ain’t never diss my idols for not giving me a feature. I bowed to lauryn hill feet when I met her,” she said before adding, “Feature or no feature. Should I call her old now? She a grandmother & still out rapping you.”

Latto Blasts “Bully” Nicki Minaj for Sharing Private DM About Grammy Award Nomination

Nicki Minaj and Latto are dissing each other on social media after the NYC rapper called out the Grammys for putting her “Super Freaky Girl” single in the Best Pop Solo Performance category for the 2023 awards.

According to reports, the Recording Academy’s rap committee reclassified the song after Nicki Minaj first listed submitted it for rap categories.

During an Instagram Live session on Thursday (Oct. 13), Nicki said the song, currently spending its eighth week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart, should be treated like similar singles.

“Now, let’s say that ‘Super Freaky Girl’ is a pop song,” Minaj continued. “Let’s just say that. What is [Latto’s] ‘Big Energy’? … If you move ‘Super Freaky Girl’ out of rap and put it in pop, do the same thing for ‘Big Energy.’ Same producers on both songs, by the way. So let’s keep s### fair. Even when I’m rapping on a pop track, I still out-rap.”

https://www.instagram.com/tv/Cjq8GL9Jhei/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Nicki Minaj also took her complaints to Twitter where many of her fans were tweeting their support. “CALL A THING A THING!!!!!😩,” she wrote, sharing a fan post of Nicki rapping on Super Freaky Girl.

She also shared a screenshot of a DM from somebody who said Nicki was using their name and song to prove a point.

“This Karen has probably mentioned my name in over 100 interviews,” Nicki wrote alongside the screenshot. “Says she waited in line for Pink Friday w|her Barbie chain on, bangs, pink hair…but today, scratch off decides to be silent; rather than speak up for the black woman she called her biggest inspiration. 🫡☺️😘”

Latto Calls Nicki Minaj A “Bully”

While fans speculated who wrote the text to Nicki Minaj, Latto soon cleared up the mystery.

“1st of all I texted u cause I didn’t wanna do the internet sht w sum1 I looked up to. Just like the 1st time I DMed u asking about ur ongoing subtweets. I wanted to speak up cuz like I said I do agree but the way u going about it seems malicious esp. after how we left off,” she began.

“I’ve ignored countless subtweets since March and instead addressed u in the dm. You’re asking why I didn’t speak up in ur defense… it’s the same answer I gave u when u asked why I didn’t congratulate you. Ur literally older than my mom tryna be a bully @NICKIMINAJ,” Latto added.

In response, Nicki quote-tweeted Latto’s post with some shade, writing, “All this time I thought you was at least 35.”

EXCLUSIVE: 6ix9ine’s Lawyers Want Out Because Rapper Won’t Pay Bills & Can’t Be Located

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s lawyers plan to withdraw as his counsel following months of poor communication and unpaid bills.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, the Meloni & McCaffrey law firm informed U.S. District Judge Hector Gonzalez about their intent to stop representing 6ix9ine (a.k.a. Daniel Hernandez). Attorney Robert Meloni detailed the issues with his client, recounting how he rarely spoke with 6ix9ine.

“From June 2021 until March 2022, I had sporadic communications directly with Mr. Hernandez, and mainly communicated with him via texts,” Meloni wrote. “At the beginning of the representation, until March 2022, I communicated almost entirely with Justin Kobay, the business manager for Mr. Hernandez and his companies whenever I needed to consult with someone about this action or the other matters I was handling for Mr. Hernandez. Mr. Kobay would act as a liaison. However, Mr. Kobay resigned as business manager for Mr. Hernandez in March 2022.”

After Kobay’s resignation, Meloni said he was occasionally able to discuss matters with 6ix9ine’s brother Oscar Hernandez. 6ix9ine’s brother stopped responding to Meloni’s calls, emails and texts in September.

“There is now a total breakdown in communication between Mr. Hernandez and the Firm,” Meloni explained. “Mr. Hernandez’s last communication with me took place in early March 2022 relating to one of the other litigations. Finally, I just learned that Mr. Hernandez changed his phone number, which he did not tell me himself. He did not provide me with his new mobile number.”

Meloni struggled to represent 6ix9ine, spending months trying to locate his client. And to make matters worse, the controversial rapper allegedly hasn’t paid for any legal services since December 2021.

“Mr. Hernandez’s refusal or inability to communicate with the Firm makes it impossible for the Firm to continue its representation because, among other things, we are unable to get Mr. Hernandez’s input on discovery decisions or strategic decisions required during the course of the litigation,” Meloni wrote. “Moreover, Mr. Hernandez, who has not made a payment to the firm since December 2021, has a substantial outstanding balance for this matter and four other litigations, and has not indicated an intent or ability to make a payment in the future.”

The attorney proposed processing the withdrawal via email due to the inability to locate 6ix9ine.

“Because the Firm has no current physical address for Mr. Hernandez, the Firm plans to request that the Court permit service of the Firm’s anticipated motion by way of email to Mr. Hernandez’s brother Oscar Hernandez,” Meloni wrote. “The Firm will send a copy of this letter to Oscar Hernandez as well.”

The Meloni & McCaffrey firm was handling multiple ligations involving 6ix9ine. Those cases included a trademark battle with an artist who uses the stage name SIX9.

50 Cent Mocks His Son Marquise Jackson’s Child Support Complaints

50 Cent trolled his son Marquise Jackson in a video released on Thursday (October 13).

The G-Unit rapper reacted to his son going viral for complaining about child support payments. The video featured 50 Cent ridiculing Marquise Jackson while lounging in a bubble bath.

“This n####’s crazy,” 50 Cent said. “25 years old, why you still talking about child support?”

Later on in the clip, 50 Cent’s crew stopped by and jokingly asked for an extra $6,700 per month. Marquise Jackson suggested his father’s $6,700 monthly child support payments weren’t sufficient.

“$6,700 a month in the state of New York, you do the math,” Marquise Jackson said in an Instagram Live conversation with Choke No Joke. “You’re talking about a Forbes lister. You’re talking about someone that has problems with everybody. You can’t just live in any neighborhood.”

Marquise Jackson addressed the backlash to his comments in an interview with TMZ. He claimed his relationship with 50 Cent was the real issue, not money.

“I don’t even know if a sit-down can actually restore the [relationship],” Marquise Jackson said. “It’s more so an olive branch. If you’re up for it, I’m up for it. I’m definitely willing to sit down with him and get his perspective and gain a little bit of understanding. We’re both men at the end of the day. We should be able to agree and disagree and it not be a problem.”

Tsu Surf In Custody On RICO Charges After Dramatic Arrest; His Mother Reacts

Revered battle rapper Tsu Surf has finally been caught by the long of the law after weeks of speculation.

Tsu Surf, born Rahjon Cox, was taken into custody today (October 13th) and hit with Federal RICO charges out of Jersey City, New Jersey, according to Fox5 New York reporter Lisa Evers.

According to sources, Tsu Surf barricaded himself inside a building when he was approached by U.S. Marshals. He attempted to flee with his girlfriend but eventually re-entered the building.

A negotiation team was called to the scene, and Tsu Surf decided to surrender peacefully. He was taken into custody around 1:30 PM this afternoon.

Tsu Surf is being held in the Essex County Jail. As of press time, there is no detailed information about the rapper’s charges.

But the charges are severe, according to the Newark, New Jersey native himself, who often mentioned his affiliation with the Rollin 60’s faction of the Crips.

Last week, Tsu Surf hopped on Twitter using a burner account instead of his official handle and addressed the chatter brewing about his impending arrest.

“I prolly never step on a stage again….God has a way of Humbling Us,” the rapper wrote. “I can’t even act like I ever felt like my story would turn out like this…..”

He elaborated in an interview with the battle rap website HipHopIsReal.com.

“The decisions you make can carry you through your whole life. You could be in your senior year in college and make a left down one block and was supposed to make a right down that block, and that should affect you 30 years later,” Tsu Surf said. “Because if you would have made a left down that block, you would have met somebody that was going to be an executive at Google 10 years from now. Genuinely every decision you make affects your life. Just think before you speak. Think before you act.”

Tsu Surf’s mother addressed her son’s arrest on her Instagram account. In addition to a message posted on her IG Story, his mom vowed to support her son through the turbulent time in his life.

“This is my child and know that will forever be his support and when the smoke clears will be right here. Thank you for the calls, text, and dm’s,” she wrote. “The fight begins. Remember he has a daughter and a mother. This is where we see who the real from the fakes are. Know one thing my son is cut from my cloth and he gets it honest don’t m########### out of a bag please. So many have contacted me and showed me that they are there for us and I appreciate you.”

MC Serch Is Selling His Portion Of Nas’ Catalog

MC Serch of pioneering Hip Hop group 3rd Bass has decided to sell 100 percent of his holdings in Nas’ iconic catalog, which includes Illmatic (1994) and It Was Written (1996), both of which he executive produced.

“I have decided to sell all of the rights, including the global rights,” he tells AllHipHop. “I started conversations with several companies a few months ago. For 27 years, it has provided my family through good times and bad. Now it’s time for a new chapter.”

Illmatic, often heralded as Nas’ best work, is one of the only rap albums in the Library of Congress and includes songs such as “N.Y. State of Mind,” “The World Is Yours” and “Represent.” It’s not only taught at Harvard University and Oxford University but was also given new life after it was prominently featured in the Netflix series Ozark earlier this year.

Serch estimates both projects combined are still streamed at least 250 million times a year, while Nas currently has more than eight million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Meanwhile, It Was Written was certified triple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2021, marking Nas’ highest-selling album. It also spawned the single “If I Ruled The World (Imagine That)” featuring Lauryn Hill, his first No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 single.

Despite Nas’ commercial success and critical acclaim over the course of his career, he didn’t win his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album until 2021 for King’s Disease, beating out Freddie Gibbs’ and The Alchemist’s Alfredo, Jay Electronica’s It Was Written, D Smoke’s Black Habits and Royce Da 5’9’s The Allegory.

The project debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 with roughly 47,000 total album-equivalent units sold in its first week. Illmatic, on the other hand, peaked at No. 12, while It Was Written landed at No. 1 with more than 270,000 copies sold.

MC Serch and his companies Serchlite Publishing and Serchlite Music (now 4MC MultiMedia) have retained the executive producer rights to Illmatic and It Was Written for nearly three decades.

The sale is being represented by Richard Blackstone, Roger Miller, and Stephen S. Sidman. While Serch hasn’t decided on a buyer quite yet, he’s been fielding offers and expects it to find a home quickly.

Imagine that.

PnB Rock’s Girlfriend Mourns His Death; Reveals He Saved Her Life

PnB Rock’s girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuang publicly addressed his death for the first time on Thursday (October 13).

Sibounheuang detailed the pain she’s experienced in a lengthy Instagram post. She also noted how PnB Rock saved her life on the day he was murdered.

“I am 100% not ok,” she wrote. “If I wasn’t spiritual I could kill my self (but then I’ll go to hell and my man not there) My man saved my life, Throwing me under that table. I’m not supposed to be here but bc of him. I am. No one would be able to handle this. TBH, I can’t even handle this.”

She continued, “To witness what I saw and to keep seeing it in my head, to being forced out the restaurant, to not be able to go in the ambulance or the hospital, Car keys, purse and my phone taken from me, forced in the back of a police car, locked in an interrogation room all night, while all this is going on and to be the last person in this world to know my man didn’t make it after having the faith and confidence that he was.”

PnB Rock, whose real name was Rakim Allen, was shot and killed during an armed robbery in Los Angeles on September 12. He was 30.

Three suspects were arrested in connection to PnB Rock’s death. A father and his teenage son were charged with murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. The teen’s stepmother was charged with accessory after the fact.

Sibounheuang didn’t comment on PnB Rock’s alleged killers. But she did say, “The devil is running loose on earth.”

Gunna Stuck In Jail; Denied Bond For Third Time In YSL RICO Case

Gunna failed to secure his release from jail again.

According to multiple reports, Judge Ural Glanville denied bond to Gunna for a third time on Thursday (October 13). The Fulton County judge cited concerns regarding witness intimidation.

“I still have the same concerns that have not been otherwise alleviated,” Glanville said.

Last month, Gunna’s lawyers filed a third motion for bond. They argued against the witness intimidation claims.

“The prosecution has been afforded ample time to develop evidence to support its motion to detain [Gunna],” his attorneys wrote in the filing. “It has not succeeded.”

Gunna, whose real name is Sergio Kitchens, has remained in jail since his May arrest. He and more than two dozen YSL members were indicted in a sweeping racketeering case.

The YSL rapper was charged with one count of conspiracy to violate the RICO Act. He maintained his innocence.

“I am being falsely accused and will never stop fighting to clear my name!” Gunna declared in June.

Gunna and Young Thug were the two biggest names in the YSL indictment. Young Thug was hit with multiple felonies, including drug and weapons offenses, in addition to the RICO charges.

Earlier this month, Young Thug demanded bond and a speedy trial after prosecutors sought to delay the RICO trial. It was tentatively scheduled to begin in January, but the prosecution asked to push it back to March.

Luke Reyvn Is Back With His Most Powerful and Noteworthy Release To Date

Luke Reyvn just released his newest single and visual for “Money Pies,” and this might just be his most powerful and noteworthy release to date.

The rising star straddles the genres of pop, alternative, and R&B, creating his own lane in today’s oversaturated music industry. His music is not only relatable, but it might just have you dancing and turning up in the mosh pit at one of his live shows.

“Money Pies” pays homage to Luke Reyvn’s complicated past, but ends with a moment of triumph that exudes inspiration and hope. From his teenage years, Luke has always struggled with legal run-ins, family issues, mental health, and even dropped out of college.

After making the conscious decision to clean up and turn his life around, he was able to step into his purpose: becoming the superstar musician he always dreamed of being.

AllHipHop spoke with Luke Reyvn about his new release and what it means to him.

AllHipHop: What inspired “Money Pies”? What were you going through recording it?

Luke Reyvn: “Money Pies” is a reflection of where I’m at in life. I wanted a song that felt super energetic and fun while capturing the feeling of accomplishment.

AllHipHop: What do you want fans to take away from the record?

Luke Reyvn: I want to inspire my fans to chase their dreams no matter what other people say, and to celebrate their accomplishments no matter how big or small.

AllHipHop: How toxic are you?

Luke Reyvn: Using the word “toxic” really just represents that sometimes in life you have to put yourself first in order get things done, and that people may think about you a certain way, but don’t understand what it takes to make those hard decisions to find success in your life.

AllHipHop: How would you describe “Money Pies”?

Luke Reyvn: “Money Pies” is a fun term for a huge pile of money. I wanted the lyrics to be simple and fun while representing signs of traditional success in the modern world.

AllHipHop: What was your creative vision with the video?

Luke Reyvn: The video was designed to be super energetic and explosive while also giving off this weird mad scientist vibe. Using the idea that “making money pies” is some kind of crazy experiment.

AllHipHop: Best memory from shooting?

Luke Reyvn: The best part of shooting was while we were filming the scene of me pulling a real pie out of the oven, the camera fell in the icing and my filmer Evan almost had a heart attack. The camera was completely fine, which is what made it so funny!

AllHipHop: What’s one thing fans may not know about you?

Luke Reyvn: A lot of my fans have this idea that I’m this dark and mysterious character, where in reality I’m a super happy go lucky guy. Honestly, I’m super nerdy and spend a lot of my free time playing video games, watching anime, and debating conspiracy theories with my friends!

AllHipHop: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Luke Reyvn: In 10 years, I see myself as an internationally known artist who travels the world putting on massive shows and using my influence and financial success to create businesses and companies to help grow and develop up and coming artists.

Kanye Confirms JPMorgan Canceled Him, But Rapper Refuses To Back Down From Anti-Semetic Comments

Kanye West is unrepentant after facing backlash following antisemitic comments he made online.

The hip-hop star’s Instagram and Twitter accounts were locked last weekend after he shared comments aimed at fellow rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs accusing “Jewish people” of telling him to call and “threaten or influence me.”

He later doubled down on the antisemitic comments by tweeting he was, “going death con 3 (sic) On JEWISH PEOPLE.”

The comments drew widespread condemnation from the likes of Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Legend, and Jack Antonoff, as well as leaders of Jewish community organizations – but the musician is refusing to retract the statements.

Speaking to Page Six as he left the screening of right-wing pal Candace Owens’ new anti-Black Lives Matter documentary in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday night, West said: “Hey, if you call somebody out for bad business, that means you’re being antisemitic. I feel happy to have crossed the line of that idea so we can speak openly about things like getting canceled by a bank.”

West appeared to address executives at JP Morgan Chase with the latter comment. Leaders at the bank have reportedly cut ties with the Jesus Walks musician following the controversy.

But West was apparently interrupted by a passing truck when addressing the bank directly before deciding to talk at a “different time.”

Following the social media controversy, more antisemitic comments from West emerged in a leaked unaired segment of a Fox News interview.

Owens, who rose to fame after supporting U.S. President Donald Trump, and is now a major figure in right-wing media, had previously tweeted an email she claimed showed JP Morgan Chase telling him to take his Yeezy business accounts elsewhere by November.

Earlier this month, The Daily Wire presenter also helped West kick off his latest spate of controversies by joining him in wearing a “White Lives Matter” top during an appearance at Paris Fashion Week.

T.I. Isn’t Bothered By The Words Of ‘A Buffoon’ — Just The Silence Of His Community

T.I. is speaking out after YouTube personality and former gang member Charleston White threatened to “Trayvon Martin” his 18-year-old son King. His vile words have been strewn across social media like dirty socks littering a bedroom floor, forcing Tip and his family to field a flood of comments both good and bad.

But the Hustle Gang boss is dumbfounded by the lack of support from people he considered part of his community.

In an interview with AllHipHop, Tip explained he was “distraught” on Tuesday (October 11) when he and White wound up trading shots online.

“I was just in a real dark place—and not at all because of the words of a buffoon,” he says. “Not because of that. It was the silence of the community that really hurt my feelings. For a couple reasons, one, I’m a grown man. I’m a big boy. Whatever somebody says about me, whatever happens to me is fair game. God has blessed me to be able to deal with anything that come my way.

“But it kinda just brought back all of the hurt that came with the first situation when social media was used to attack my family. Not just me. Not just T.I. But to attack my family, and it was weaponized against me for political interests.”

Tip is referring to the controversy surrounding former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance-Bottoms and mayoral candidate Felicia Moore, who lost the election to Andre Dickens last year. He accused Moore of spreading lies about him and his family.

“It was later found out there was a politician behind that ‘cause they wanted to remove me and my voice and my platform from being able to support Keisha Lance-Bottoms,” he explains. “That politician still lost. After that election, that politician came out and unknowingly confessed. Social media was weaponized to attack my family and everybody just sat there and watched and said nothing.

“That’s hurtful because anytime there’s ever a righteous cause, anytime there’s ever some injustice done to the community, anytime I’m able to show up and support a righteous cause through a foundation, I’m always there—whether I’m donating money, whether I’m donating time, whether I’m offering insight, hope, love, support, hospitality—anything I can do, I’m always there. My family has always been there for 20 years. You see me in a position where I’m being attacked and I can’t do nothing for myself, if I can’t protect myself, what will the community do on my behalf? And if that answer is nothing, that hurts me. Because the enemy also sees it and it feel like you being used.”

Tip and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris have weathered a firestorm of allegations over the last couple of years and he’s well aware the effect it had on his reputation, but he says it’s not about that.

“Everybody don’t appreciate T.I. and I understand that,” he admits. “I ain’t everybody’s cup of tea. I get that. It’s the support of what’s right. Every parent should be outraged. I can’t believe it’s being passed around by people who are the first to ask for support for their causes. They’re

laughing, sharing, liking and participating in this nonsense. That’s what I can’t believe. The words of a fool don’t surprise me. The silence of the community is what surprises me.”

As for a solution, Tip says it’s going to take collective action; the community at-large needs to stand up and say, “We are not accepting this.” He continues, “They have to say, ‘We are not in support of this. We will not allow you to do this to a family that’s done too much for too many

people.’”

He also issued a stern warning to anyone supporting White’s commentary, which goes for publications spreading the video of White’s threats aimed at his son.

“Any platform that gives light to it, I’m asking any platform that gives light to that lunatic, don’t call me for no interviews,” he says matter-of-factly. “If you see me on the red carpet, let me pass you by. Don’t ask me to show up to your event. If that’s the attention you want, that’s the

attention you deserve and you don’t deserve to be in my presence. You don’t deserve for me to be associated with your brand and that goes for anybody standing with it. Anybody sharing, liking, anybody in support of it, when you see me, don’t reach out to slap my hand, don’t ask me

for no picture, don’t call me to come to your event, please don’t fool with me at all.”

Shaun King and Deon Taylor are two of the few who are siding with T.I. As King wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday (October 12): “ Some cowardly man called himself making public death threats against TI’s teenage son, King. He started targeting King and somebody else’s son for clout. I won’t even repeat the vile and violent words this shameful man put out there, but I will say these 3 things: 1. Leave people’s kids alone. You’ve crossed a damn red line when you start attacking people’s kids. Period. You run the risk now of causing some serious trouble for yourself and for others. It’s a line you don’t cross, a code.

“2. The Internet has people so hungry for fame and attention that they will do ANYTHING to get it. It’s shameful. And it’s dangerous. For everybody. 3. Social media companies need to ban people for making death threats and targeting and harassing people’s kids. This ain’t free speech. And we all need to do a better job of having each other’s back.”

While Tip understands the positives and negatives of the internet, he concludes: “It has to start somewhere. It has to start with someone who has standards, morals and principles. The internet celebrates the worst in people. It rewards the worst in people, so people abandon their morals and principles because they know they can be celebrated and get notoriety that goes against humanity.

“It starts with the fundamental foundation of people who stand up and say we ain’t going for that. The buck stops here. Anybody who support me, that’s what I’m on and if you support that, don’t ever contact, call or reach out to me. I’m watching.”

Ray J Says His Younger Self Should’ve Been “Tap Dancing” Instead of “Tapping Ass”

William Ray Norwood Jr. (aka Ray J) has been in the news a lot over the last several weeks. The “One Wish” singer had many of his fans concerned after expressing suicidal thoughts on social media.

Additionally, Ray J has taken aim at the Kardashian-Jenner family in public. He blatantly accused socialite/businesswoman Kris Jenner of lying about the infamous sex tape involving her daughter Kim Kardashian and Norwood.

With all the personal issues taking place in Ray J’s life at the moment, the College Hill: Celebrity Edition star had to reflect on his past. Dose Of Society caught up with Ray and asked the 41-year-old entertainer what advice he would give to his younger self.

“You don’t gotta be cool, Ray,” stated the industry veteran. “Gangstas and dudes that you think is cool, they wanna see you elevate. So if you do Broadway, you tap, you sing, you dance – just be great. They gonna ride with you. You don’t gotta be cool.”

Ray J continued, “All I was doing was tapping ass, when I could’ve been tap dancing. Instead of tapping ass all day, tap ass a little bit. But if you tap dance, do that the majority of the time.” Dose Of Society posted the video to its Instagram page last week.

This week saw Ray J jump into the middle of the racial/religious controversy surrounding Kanye “Ye” West. The former adversaries have now fully embraced right-wing ideology by endorsing conservative pundit Candace Owens.

Both Ray J and Kanye West showed up to the premiere of Candace Owens’s The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM documentary. Owens also co-signed Ye’s contentious “White Lives Matter” shirt which ignited widespread backlash directed at West.

Hip Hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs became one of the most outspoken critics of Kanye West’s latest racially-sensitive antics. In response, Ray J called out Diddy by posting, “Yo Puff – I came to [your] house and told you a couple [of] months ago I had some issues with certain 🤡s [clowns] and n##### was quiet – now all of a sudden.”

Ray J and Kanye West have a complicated connected history. Norwood appeared in the 2007 pornographic film Kim Kardashian, Superstar which displayed the then-couple engaging in sexual intercourse. In 2013, he released a quasi-diss track about Kardashian/West titled “I Hit It First.”

Kanye West later married Kardashian in 2014. The G.O.O.D. Music founder fired back at Ray on the 2016 track “Highlights” where Ye rapped, “He might’ve hit it first, only problem is I’m rich.” According to reports, Kardashian officially filed for divorce from Kanye West in 2021.
