For the thirteenth time in his career, Drake has the most popular song in America. The Canadian’s Tay Keith-produced “First Person Shooter” featuring J. Cole debuted at No. 1 on this week’s Hot 100 chart.
Drake moved into a tie with the late King of Pop Micheal Jackson for most Number Ones on the Hot 100 for male soloists. The For All the Dogs album creator now only trails Rihanna (14), Mariah Carey (19), and The Beatles (20) on the all-time list.
“Being [a part] of [a] history-breaking Michael Jackson record for most Hot 100 #1s is insane dawg,” tweeted Tay Keith on October 16. He previously reached the pinnacle of that Billboard chart with Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode” featuring Drakein 2018 and Drake’s “Jimmy Cooks” featuring 21 Savagein 2022.
Being apart of history breaking michael jackson record for most hot100 #1s is insane dawg
In addition to working with Drake, 2023 also saw Tay Keith produce “Pound Town” by rising Hip-Hop star Sexyy Red. Recent songs by Westside Gunn and Offset also included beats crafted by the Middle Tennessee State University graduate.
“Facts, I went crazy this year hopefully a Grammy this time🤦🏾♂️🔥,” posted Keith in response to a fan celebrating the 27-year-old Memphis native’s production run over the last several months.
Tay Keith (born Brytavious Chambers) scored one official Grammy nomination at the 61st ceremony in 2019 for his contribution to “Sicko Mode.” However, the golden gramophone for Best Rap Song went to Drake’s “God’s Plan” that year.
Well-known record producer Southside found himself in the social media hot seat over the last twenty-four hours. Some people took issue with Southside and G Herbo’s behavior on Funny Marco’s podcast.
The awkward exchange on Funny Marco’s Open Thoughts show between the Swervo album creators and the comedian caused outrage online. Marco then addressed the situation in a Facebook post.
“I understand a lot of y’all mad about the interview,” wrote Funny Marco. He continued, “I was upset while it was going on but I understand I got a job to do & one thing about me [is] I respect people on my show. I didn’t want to match [their] energy.”
He added, “It’s so many L’s I took on my journey I wish I could show I don’t hide anything. So I feel it was only right to put the episode out myself. And just learn from that episode & move on. Thank [you to those] who support me, it’s a mindset thing.”
During the Open Thoughts interview, G Herbo repeatedly tells Funny Marco to “shut the f### up” and calls him “goofy” more than once. The host later claimed the Herbo and Southside broke his $30,000 watch.
Southside responded to the backlash in a video posted online. The co-founder of the 808 Mafia production/songwriting team called out Funny Marco, apologized to the podcaster and shaded him for supposedly having a fake watch.
“That n#### wasn’t scared. If you were scared, I can’t help how your mama raised you n#####,” stated Southside on Instagram Live. “This is why I stay off this s### because no matter what it is n##### make me the bad guy.”
The “Who Run It (Remix)” beatmaker added, “If he was uncomfortable, it’s like, alright, damn Marco. We’re sorry. We didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable but you’re a b####-ass n####. Stay away from me. Moral of the story.”
Southside also said, “Marco, I got a watch right now you can come get. I got a new watch for you, bro. Call me, I got something for you right now. And it’s real cause that s### I threw wasn’t real. That watch was fake. It wasn’t a real watch. That s### was fake as f###.”
Alicia Keys found herself in hot water this week, with the 15x-Grammy winner’s recent social media activity causing some backlash on the internet.
“What would u do if you weren’t afraid of anything???” Alicia Keys’s caption read on the now-deleted Instagram post. “Tell me your truth… I’ve had my eyes on paragliding.”
The reference to “paragliding” led to many commenters accusing Alicia Keys of promoting antisemitism and tacitly showing support for Hamas, the militant group based in the Gaza Strip that orchestrated the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel.
Part of the Hamas assault included the use of motorized paragliders. At least 1,400 Israelis died as a result of the coordinated offensive that also targeted the Supernova Sukkot Gathering, which took place approximately three miles from the Gaza–Israel border.
Alicia Keys returned to Instagram to address the negative reactions to her previous “paragliding” message. According to the recording artist, she didn’t intend to show support for Hamas or spew any antisemitic rhetoric.
“The post I shared earlier was COMPLETELY unrelated in any way to the recent devastating loss of innocent lives,” Keys wrote on her Instagram Story. “My heart has been breaking… I pray for and stand for peace.”
Since the outbreak of violence between Hamas and Isreal on October 7, the conflict has become a touchy subject for celebrities. For example, Jewish rapper Drake faced criticism for not speaking out. However, his father, Dennis Graham, argued Drake made the right decision to remain quiet on the topic.
According to reports, the combined Israeli and Palestinian death toll has surpassed 4,000 people. There’s also significant concern about mounting civilian casualties and a humanitarian crisis in Gaza following Israel’s air strikes and blockade of the area. U.S. President Joe Biden will visit the region on Wednesday (October 18).
It appears the award-winning Red Table Talk will return next year. Worthy author Jada Pinkett Smith’s headline-generating talk show will need to find a new broadcast home before new episodes start to air.
Red Table Talk launched on Facebook Watch in May 2018 and ran on the social media platform for five seasons. Willow Smith, Jada’s daughter, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris, Jada’s mother, served as co-hosts for the program.
Jada Pinkett Smith recently revealed Red Table Talk will be back. The star of cult classic films such as Menace II Society and Set It Off informed her fans to be on the lookout for a rebooted Red Table Talk in 2024.
“The Red Table is coming back. We are in the works of a situation right now. So next year,” declared Jada Pinkett Smith during a livestream on TalkShopLive. “We could not do the red table while I was writing this book and while Willow was on her music journey.”
Numerous celebrities appeared on Red Table Talk during the show’s five-year run. The guest list included Gabrielle Union, Tiffany Haddish, Kid Cudi, Wale, Jordyn Woods, Common, T.I., Snoop Dogg, Lauren London, Ice Cube, Bobby Brown, Kevin Hart, Queen Latifah, Fat Joe, and others.
“Jada Brings Herself to the Table” became one of the most-watched episodes of Red Table Talk (39 million views). That installment featured Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband, Will Smith, addressing Jada’s infamous “entanglement” with R&B singer August Alsina.
Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice teamed up twice this year on two different songs. Both “Princess Diana” and “Barbie World” peaked in the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10 region.
Ice Spice is clearly a fan of Nicki Minaj. The 23-year-old newcomer solidified her position as a Barb by praising Minaj’s debut studio LP while appearing on Complex‘s “GOAT Talk” series.
“Princess Diana” and “Barbie World” producer Ephrem “RIOTUSA” Lopez joined Ice Spice on the digital show. When RIOTUSA suggested Spice’s GOAT album was Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday, the Bronx native agreed.
Later in the conversation, Spice also named “Win Again” as Nicki Minaj’s greatest song of all time. That track lives on the deluxe edition of 2014’s The Pinkprint album. Not surprisingly, RIOTUSA put over the “Barbie World” collaboration.
Pink Friday dropped in November 2010. Nicki Minaj’s first official album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, selling 375,000 copies in its first week. The project eventually peaked at No. 1 in its eleventh week on the chart.
Ice Spice continues to make big moves in the entertainment industry. The New Yorker born Isis Gaston recently served as the musical guest on the season 49 premiere of Saturday Night Live. She performed “In Ha Mood” and “Pretty Girl” with Rema.
“In Ha Mood” lives on the Like..? EP. That project also hosts Spice’s breakout hit “Munch (Feelin’ U)” as well as the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Princess Diana” single. Like..? opened at No. 37 on the Billboard 200 with 15,000 album-equivalent units.
U.K rap pioneer Ghetts is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated upcoming album On Purpose, With Purpose.
The East-London rapper shared a teaser for the project on social media, revealing the artwork created by British-Nigerian designer and artist Olaolu Slawn.
Ghetts also shared a series of cryptic posts on Instagram announcing two upcoming events in London and Manchester. The first, posted Sunday (October 14), reads: “We are in a time where people believe anything but the truth.”
Others seemingly address cancel culture and social dilemmas. “Real G’s don’t participate in gender wars,” and “Sarah’s dad hates Black’s but her baby’s mixed race.”
In the most recent message shared today (October 17), Ghetts notes, “Cancel culture wanna scare us with their fake rage, but if you can read the room we’re on the same page.”
Called Walk With Purpose, the events are scheduled to go down in London and Manchester later this month.
“I really wanna broadcast sometimes, but I feel like what I’m thinking is very valuable and may be lost amongst the noise,” Giggs notes in the event description. “So is this a march or is it just myself and a few like-minded individuals putting what I would tweet on the streets? If you attend, please wear black.”
The project, set to be his fourth studio album, follows the release of his 2021 critically acclaimed offering, Conflict of Interest. The project MOBO Award-winning LP debuted at No. 2 on the official U.K. Top 100 chart and No.1 on the U.K. Hip Hop and R&B Charts.
Boosie Badazz is on the receiving end of social media backlash again over his comments about fathers “pushing” their teenage sons to have sex with women to prevent them from becoming transgender.
The “Wipe Me Down” hitmaker is an outspoken critic of certain members of the LGBT community. His past controversies include calling Lil Nas X a homophobic slur and Dwyane Wade for accepting his underage, transgender daughter, Zaya Wade.
In a clip from a recent interview on The Danza Project, Boosie doubled down on his previous comments about encouraging teen boys to have sex before the age of 16 to prevent them from straying “that way.”
The host commented on schools pushing a “lie” that there are more than two genders.
“As a father, we gotta be more hands-on,” Boosie replied. “We gotta be more hands-on with raising our kids and letting ’em know what’s right”
Boosie continued, “By the time they’re 16, they gotta be pushing P.” By the time they’re 15, you gotta send them to the movies with the girls. They’re gonna get blinded by what they see on TV and things like that. If we just let them watch what everyone’s doing, they’re gonna stray that way.”
Social Media Reacts To Boosie’s “Controversial “Pushing P” Comments
Clips of the interview circulated online, with some commenters calling Boosie’s advice criminal.
“This is literally molesting ya kids wth going on,” one person wrote on Instagram.
“So we just gone act like he didnt just admit to a CRIME ???????????????,” another user commented. “This yall fav promoting predator, molesting actions but yall gone act like its okay though cause its straight activites and the black community is only against LGBTQ.”
Elsewhere during the interview, the Baton Rouge, Louisiana native also claimed he once turned down “a quarter-million to go to perform at LGBT community,” event.
“Companies don’t wanna mess with me for the things I speak about. It’s a lot of losses and it’s a lot of gains also. But I’m not being real for money,” Boosie shared. “If that’s the case, I can sell my soul for anything.”
In the past, Boosie has admitted to arranging for adult women to perform sex acts on his 16 year old son and has come under fire for sexualzing his sons.
Bow Wow is calling on record labels to bring back artist development, accusing execs of pushing “subpar” artists before they’re ready.
The rapper and actor took to social media Monday in a lengthy rant against the labels.
“Can we please bring back artist development at these labels,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Do these labels even care about these artist? Yall be throwing them on platforms knowing they not ready.”
Bow Wow then compared the music industry to boxing, suggesting labels should prepare artists to ready them for the industry.
“A boxer is trained and taught before battle,” he added. ”We just keep throwing these subpar ass artist out here with no proper teaching.”
Can we please bring back artist development at these labels…. Do these labels even care about these artist? Yall be throwing them on platforms knowing they not ready. A boxer is trained and taught before battle. We just keep throwing these subpar ass artist out here with no…

Drake says he’s “still got work to do,” after “First Person Shooter” debuted on top of the Billboard Hot 100 this week, tying Michael Jackson for the most No. 1 hits by a male solo artist.
The track marked his thirteenth chart-topper, equalling the King of Pop’s feat achieved in 1995 with “You Are Not Alone.”
Celebrating the achievement on Instagram, Drake shared an AI-generated image of Michael Jackson taking a selfie wearing an OVO hoodie. He tagged his “First Person Shooter” co-star J. Cole, writing, “Mooooooooood.”
Meanwhile, on his Instagram Story, Drake noted his feature on Travis Scott’s 2018 hit “Sicko Mode” was not included in the numbers, otherwise he’d have 14 hits. “We got work to do,” he added.
Drake Dons Michael Jackson’s Iconic White Glove – But is It The Real Thing?
The OVO founder also shared two photos of himself having a celebratory drink while wearing a sequined white glove that looks suspiciously like Michael Jackson’s signature piece. He also shared a throwback pic of his character in Degrassi as MJ wearing the white glove and famous red leather jacket. “Full circle moment,” he wrote alongside the image.
Check out the photos below.

It’s unclear if Drake owns Michael Jackson’s iconic white glove, which sold at auction for $480,000 months after the singer’s death. The sale earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2009 for the most expensive glove ever sold at auction.
However, According to SmithsonianMag, Drake does own the most valuable hip-hop artifact ever sold. He purchased a gold and ruby crown ring designed by Tupac Shakur at a Sotheby’s sale for just over $1 million earlier this year.
Meanwhile, For All The Dogs also debuted at No. 1 on the latest Billboard 200 this week with 402,000 first-week units. The project also becomes his “lucky” thirteenth No. 1 album, trailing behind Jay-Z in the record books, who sits at fourteenth. The Beatles are the all-time Billboard 200 chart leaders with nineteen chart-toppers.
Funny Marco revealed he’s “upset” over a recent interview with G Herbo and Southside where they called him a “b####” and broke his $30K watch.
The rappers were guests on the latest episode of the comedian’s podcast Open Thoughts, which aired earlier this week (October 15). However, after watching the episode, viewers were left outraged over the guest’s treatment of their host.
In one clip circulating online, G Herbo repeatedly tells Funny Marco to “shut the f### up” when the podcaster points out his guests are talking amongst themselves. “F###### goofy,” Herbo added.
In another snippet from the show, the “PTSD” hitmaker throws a cup at Funny Marco.
Marco acknowledged the backlash and shared his “upset” over how the interview went down.
“I understand a lot of y’all mad about the interview,” he wrote on Facebook. “I was upset while it was going on but I understand I got a job to do & one thing about me I respect people on my show.”
He also explained, “I didn’t want to match they Energy” and intends to “just learn from that episode & move on.”
A commenter suggested G Herbo and Southside were “just going with your vibe,” but Funny Marco disagreed. “naw they broke my 30k watch and calling me a b####,” he replied. “I don’t talk to people like that.”
Many fans slammed G Herbo in the comments section of his Instagram post, sharing a clip from the podcast.
While some online defended G Herbo and Southside, many were disgusted over their treatment of Funny Marco. Check out some of the reactions below and watch the interview at the end of the page.
Edited out scene of the Funny Marco show with G herbo. Herb was drunk asf & had no business acting like that nor even there in that type of setting while intoxicated. The whole interview they was acting corny asl & lame. It’s obvious he got some type of animosity towards Marco. pic.twitter.com/xdBiZRTm9C
Ain’t G Herbo going to jail? He told the truth about Marco’s face but it’s probably no cure. Are they tribal markings or acne scars? pic.twitter.com/wsMcbXhzYt

Drake’s longtime crush, NBA commentator Doris Burke, once felt the same sting the 6 God felt when he found out Metro Boomin cut his feature verse from his Heroes & Villians album.
Yes, I know I was wrong about my premonition, which would’ve saw Lillard team up with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in time for the trade deadline in February. But whatever, I’m not getting paid to break insider information on top NBA free agents—I’m getting a check to put you on game with the hearsay surrounding them.
And this week’s rumor suggests beloved hoops critic Burke didn’t fair well with Lillard when she hit the studio with his Dame Dolla alter ego. The mine-melodramatic bombshell was dropped moments before Lillard took the floor during a preseason game with his newly minted Milwaukee Bucks’ squad—ironically matched up against the Lakers. In the short live interview, Lillard revealed he told his new superstar teammate Gianna Antekounpo that he intended to recruit him in the studio at some point to get him on a track. It appears that alone triggered Burke, who sprung into action to reveal she “wasn’t surprised” that Dame cut her from his record.
“Did you know I once got cut from a Damian Lillard track? I kid you not,” Burke said before adding, “He had me record lines, I didn’t make it—I’m not surprised.” Say it ain’t so, Dame? Drizzy would LITERALLY never! Something is telling me Lillard is going to make things right with his next single release and gift the world the vaulted verse Miss Doris laid down.
If not, Dame Dolla might face some sleight-of-hand lyrical jabs from Drizzy himself over his treatment of Burke, considering Young Metro is still allegedly in the 6 God’s sights over a similar spat.
Waka Flocka Flame headed to Instagram on Monday (October 16), where he made a resounding endorsement for Donald Trump’s bid to reclaim the White House in the 2024 election.
Waka Flocka Flame shared his support for Trump with his two million Twitter (X) followers. In a concise message, he declared Trump has earned his vote in the looming presidential election.
Some believe it’s a direct response to the perceived waning support of President Joe Biden.
Waka Flocka Flame’s endorsement comes at a time when there are predictions that Black voters may not turn out in strong numbers to support Biden in the 2024 election. The comments on the rapper’s social media account largely expressed support for his political stance and encouraged others to join the Trump camp.
There’s also a contingency that believes Trump’s past and current legal quandaries make him unelectable. Trump has faced indictment on four separate occasions in recent months.
In a separate legal proceeding, Trump received a federal grand jury indictment in Washington, D.C., involving four counts. These charges revolve around his purported attempts to subvert the will of voters and interfere with the 2020 presidential election results.
Furthermore, Trump faced a 40-count indictment from a different federal grand jury in Florida. This indictment pertains to his alleged obstruction of an investigation and the improper retention of classified documents following his presidential term.
Lastly, in a criminal proceeding in New York State Court, Trump was indicted on 34 counts. These charges are related to alleged hush money payments made to an adult film star during the 2016 presidential campaign.
It’s noteworthy that all of these indictments were handed down by grand juries comprised of local citizens chosen randomly from the jury pool.
In 2015, Flocka tweeted, “F#ck Donald J. Trump” and in 2017, he wiped his backside with a Trump jersey on stage.
Nevertheless, Waka Flocka joins Lil Pump, Chief Keef, Kanye West and others that have expressed support for the former president in the past. Lil Pump and Chief Keef showed solidarity with Trump after he was booked in Fulton County and had his mugshot taken. Waka Flocka has yet to offer an additional insight as to why he supports Trump with all his legal and personal woes.
Lloyd Banks announced a new entry in his Halloween Havoc series on Monday (October 16). The former G-Unit artist teased Halloween Havoc 4 in a clip published on his social media accounts.
“Havoc is coming,” the brief video revealed.
Lloyd Banks teamed up with DJ Whoo Kid to drop the original Halloween Havoc mixtape in 2008. The last release, as of now, was 2016’s Halloween Havoc 3: Four Days of Fury.
Halloween Havoc 4 will be the first series entry since Lloyd Banks parted ways with G-Unit Records. He left 50 Cent’s label in 2018.
Lloyd Banks’ upcoming project serves as the follow-up to his albumThe Course of the Inevitable 3: Pieces of My Pain, which dropped in April. The 16-track album featured collaborations with Method Man, Cormega, Dave East, 38 Spesh, Vado and Tony Yayo.
Listeners should expect to hear Cartune Beatz on Halloween Havoc 4. The producer told AllHipHop he had more collaborations with Lloyd Banks waiting to be released.
“I started flooding Banks with beats like I still do now and in 2023 we are 18 songs released and have put out an incredible trilogy with The Course of the Inevitable,” Cartune Beatz said in May. “That’s not to mention how many records we have done that aren’t out yet. So look forward to more on the way.”
Lil Yachty annoyed Soulja Boy by claiming to be the first rapper to stream on Twitch. Soulja Boy roasted Lil Yachty on Instagram Live, taking time to rant online while he still needed to pay his ex-girlfriend Kayla Myers a significant amount of money from a lawsuit.
“Don’t get on here talking ‘bout you the first rapper to stream, bruh,” Soulja Boy said. “You disrespecting me, bruh. Stupid ass n####. I been streaming on Twitch when it was called Justin.tv. You was still in middle school. You wasn’t in the rap game yet. Shut the f### up!”
Soulja Boy added, “You getting on my f###### nerves. You don’t wanna get on my nerves, bruh. Stay in yo little lane. Go hang out with Drake. Y’all got paint y’all toenails and s###, paint y’all fingernails. Do all that little weird s### and stay the f### over there, bruh. Don’t get to talking ‘bout you was the first rapper to do s### … Shut yo dumb ass up. Stop lying on the m############ internet to all these blogs and s###.”
The Twitch beef seemed like a minor inconvenience compared to the six-figure debt owed to Soulja Boy’s ex-girlfriend, who successfully sued him for assault. According to Radar Online, Myers demanded to see his bank statements at an upcoming court hearing scheduled for December.
A judge previously granted Myers’ request to seize Soulja Boy’s property to collect her award in the civil case. More recently, she sought access to his music royalties and Twitch income until he paid off the judgment.
A federal judge granted a limited gag order in Donald Trump’s election interference case on Monday (October 16). According to multiple reports, Judge Tanya Chutkan barred the former president from attacking prosecutors, witnesses and court staff in the Washington, D.C. criminal case.
Trump often targeted the judge, special counsel Jack Smith, lawyers working under Smith and potential witnesses in speeches and social media posts. Judge Chutkan sought to stop the public bashing and threatened to impose sanctions if Trump did not comply.
“Mr. Trump may still vigorously seek public support as a presidential candidate, debate policies and people related to that candidacy, criticize the current administration and assert his belief that this prosecution is politically motivated,” Judge Chutkan said, per NBC News. “But those critical First Amendment freedoms do not allow him to launch a pre-trial smear campaign against participating government staff, their families and foreseeable witnesses.”
The judge added, “Mr. Trump can certainly claim he’s being unfairly prosecuted, but I cannot imagine any other criminal case in which a defendant is permitted to call the prosecutor ‘deranged’ or ‘a thug,’ and I will not permit it here simply because the defendant is running a political campaign. His presidential candidacy does not give him carte blanche to vilify and implicitly encourage violence against public servants who are simply doing their job.”
A Trump spokesperson claimed the judge’s decision was an “absolute abomination and another partisan knife stuck in the heart of our Democracy.” Judge Chutkan was the second judge to issue a partial gag order against Trump this month.
Judge Arthur Engoron instituted a gag order in the Republican politician’s New York fraud case on October 3. Judge Engoron took action after Trump personally attacked a court clerk.
Trump is running for president while facing four criminal cases. His election interference trial is scheduled to begin in March 2024.
Tyga urged a court to deny joint custody to Blac Chyna, who sought child support and custody of their son King Cairo. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the rapper proposed visitation “without physical custody” for Blac Chyna.
Earlier this year, Blac Chyna filed a petition to establish the paternity of her son and collect child support from Tyga. Her ex publicly dismissed her legal efforts in a comment on Instagram.
“10 years later…nah…stick to ur schedule sat-mon,” Tyga wrote.
Tyga, whose real name is Michael Stevenson, demanded sole custody of his son in his legal response to Blac Chyna. He also wanted her to receive written permission or a court order to bring their child outside of California.
Blac Chyna, whose real name is Angela White, previously requested Tyga’s help to cover her legal fees in the child support and custody battle. She asked for $125,000 to navigate the case.
The reality TV star said she needed Tyga’s assistance because she recently resorted to selling off personal items due to her alleged financial struggles. She made more than $178,000 by selling her clothes, purses and shoes. But Blac Chyna knew she could not rely on selling her belongings to pay legal bills for an extended time.
Comedian and actor Tommy Davidson has weighed in on the Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith marriage drama. He explained that he knows both celebrities and revealed one he has had the most negative experiences with.
He gave the exclusive tea to veteran journalist Allison Kugel.
Tommy Davidson appeared in the 1998 movie “Woo,” with Jada Pinkett Smith and said she was cool, but her husband seemed to be a little jealous of his wife. Now, with so much of their relationship being the talk of the town, he empathizes with the couple.
“When any personal relationship becomes public, everyone is going to have an opinion and it is one of the things that us as talents have to deal with if we get into that area, you know?” he explained, before dropping the bombshell, “I’ve had more negative experiences with Will than with Jada.”
One of the negative experiences he had with Will was finding out the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” wanted to punch him in the face.
“When I found out the reason [Will] wanted to fight me, and I didn’t know for 15 years why he wanted to fight me, it was because he thought that I over-kissed Jada in a scene [in the movie ‘Woo,’” Davidson revealed.
He continued, “Will was mad about that and I didn’t know anything about that, because they wanted me to go into a kissing scene with Jada, and I wasn’t going to do that when me and Jada hadn’t rehearsed that. They were saying, ‘We don’t have enough time,’ and I said, ‘I’m not doing it until she tells me it’s okay to do. I’m not doing that without rehearsing.’ So, they came back to my trailer and said, ‘Jada said to just go for it.’ I thought, ‘I’m not just going for it. I’m going to just try to make it look real.’”
“It was after that scene that Will came to me and said, ‘Why did you do this to me?’ I said, ‘Okay, let’s go outside,’ and Jada said, ‘No!’ I then said to Jada, ‘Then tell him to just leave me alone.’”
The funny man put the incident in his book, “Living in Color,” but before it went to print, he sent it to the couple to read and approve.
The former “In Living Color” artist didn’t want people to think his interaction was always weird … saying he “also had positive experiences with both of them, and they are both human to me.”
Stephen A. Smith has weighed in on Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s marriage. In a rant posted by 50 Cent, the ESPN talking head said Pinkett Smith’s book tour for her Worthy continues to emasculate the Oscar-winning actor.
“Let’s talk about the role of a wife, at least from the perspective of just sparing him,” he said, after saying her moves are “F##ked Up.”
“I’m not getting in the right or wrong. It’s none of my business. I don’t know that about the marriage … don’t want to know,” Smith said. “But I know that it is uncomfortable and grotesquely unfair to emasculate your husband publicly … He’s Will Smith. How much smaller do you wanna make him?”
Stephen A. Smith is referencing Pinkett Smith’s revelation to the world that the two have been separated since 2016— four years before her former lover August Alsina went public about their relationship— and the couple’s decision to stay married and not get a divorce.
Stephen A. Smith asserted that Pinkett Smith won’t give her husband a divorce simply because she might be in it for the money.
“Get a divorce. Give up the money. Gotta prenup? Don’t take anything from him. You got skills. You got a career. It ain’t his… but how much do you need? Anything to get this to stop,” he said in defense of a man who apparently says he divorce is not an option.
In a recently resurfaced clip from 2007, nine years before their separation and 13 years before the Alsina issue, Will Smith seems to have set the tone of their marriage.
“It’s my responsibility to make me happy and it’s her responsibility to make her happy and then we’re gonna come together and build on that happiness,” he said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Fast forward to Will Smith’s 2021 promotional tour for his book Will, he talked in “uncomfortable and grotesque” detail about the many times he cheated on Jada Pinkett Smith as well as his ex-wife and his dreams of having romantic relationships with people in her circle, like fellow actress Halle Berry and ballet dancer Misty Copeland.
“Anything that I need to make myself happy, I will present that to my wife… that I need that to be happy,” the West Philadelphia native said. “Divorce is not an option. We’re going to be together, so we’re going to figure out how to be happy.”
One fan tweeted, “People who crucify Jada for speaking publicly when Will has BEEN talking about their relationship publicly are definitely on BS. Stop trying to paint Will to be a wounded lamb & Jada a wolf. They clearly have an agreement in their marriage.”

Both books, Will and Worthy, address their extramarital relationships, but they don’t delve into the reasons behind the disproportionate demonization of the Low Down Dirty Shame star when compared to her husband. This is particularly intriguing, considering she didn’t publicly disclose her involvement with Alsina, who revealed the relationship as a promotional stunt for his album.
It’s also worth noting that a year earlier, the jilted lover had attempted to expose Jada Pinkett Smith through a video release.
As AllHipHop.com reported, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith two have not been in a romantic relationship in years and did not refer to each other as wife and husband. Their separation or relationships with others, based on the couple’s statements, has nothing to do with their sexual compatibility.
The structure of their relationship doesn’t seem to be an issue for Will Smith, who said he and Pinkett Smith define their relationship—not the world.
Will Smith seems to be proud of her and says that had he known some of the details in the book 30 years ago, he would have “hugged her more.”
Bronx-raised Hip-Hop artist Cardi B celebrated her 31st birthday on October 11. She also took time over the last few days to shout out her husband, Offset, for releasing his Set It Off album on October 13.
Set It Off hosts a track titled “Worth It” with Houston rapper/singer Don Toliver. Over the weekend, Cardi B promoted that Offset/Don Toliver collaboration by sharing a 26-second video of herself walking to the tune.
An X user quoted Cardi’s tweet featuring Offset’s song and added, “She looks like she has a mustache.” The Grammy winner jokingly addressed that post by writing, “I do have a mustache……why you think my p#### soo good?”
Cardi B has never been shy about discussing erotic topics on songs such as the Megan Thee Stallion-assisted “WAP” and “Bongos.” The Invasion of Privacy album creator also covered sexually explicit subjects on Offset’s “Freaky” from the Set It Off project.
According to HitsDailyDouble, Set It Off is on pace to land in the Billboard 200 chart’s Top 10 region with an estimated 55,000-65,000 first-week units. Offset’s 2019 debut solo studio LP, Father of 4, opened at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 89,000 units.
Cardi B and Offset secretly wed in September 2017. They currently have two children together, five-year-old daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus and two-year-old son Wave Set Cephus. Offset also has three children from previous relationships.
“Only The Beatles, nobody ahead of me. I crush Elvis in his Blue Suede Shoes. Made the Rolling Stones seem sweet as Kool-Aid too,” raps Jay-Z on “Reminder” off 2009’s The Blueprint 3. Over the last fourteen years, Drake has made his way up the rankings for most No. 1 albums to land right behind Hov.
Jay-Z presently holds second place on the list of all-time Billboard 200 chart leaders. The Roc Nation founder’s fourteen Number Ones only trail behind The Beatles with nineteen. Drake now has thirteen Number Ones.
The OVO Sound boss sits at No. 1 on the latest Billboard 200. His For All the Dogs debuted atop the chart with 402,000 first-week units. Drake also broke his tie with Taylor Swift (12) for most career No. 1 albums, moving into third place alone.
Additionally, For All the Dogs pulled in 514.01 million on-demand streams. That total gives Drake’s eighth studio LP the largest streaming week of 2023 and the fourth-largest streaming week in history. His 2018 album, Scorpion, holds the all-time record with 745.92 million streams.
While keeping an eye on overtaking Jay-Z for most No. 1 albums by a rapper, Drake now looks to surpass another music icon when it comes to the most No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The “King of Pop” Michael Jackson could get pushed down a rung soon.
Both “First Person Shooter” featuring J. Cole and “IDGAF” featuring Yeat live on For All the Dogs. The 23-track project also includes contributions from Teezo Touchdown, 21 Savage, SZA, PartyNextDoor, Chief Keef, Bad Bunny, Sexyy Red and Lil Yachty.
