TRAETWOTHREE On Signing With Nick Cannon’s Ncredible And His Debut Mixtape “Out The District”

TRAETWOTHREE’s name comes from his hometown of Los Angeles, representing his area code 323 at any given moment. With his roots in the city, the singer-songwriter is inspired directly by the likes of Tank, Tyrese, Erykah Badu, and The Isley Brothers, even describing his sound as “South Central at nighttime.”

And while most artists come out of South Central LA rapping, TRAETWOTHREE is here to bless the world with all the R&B vibes he can — giving a different sound that people have never heard before. Plus, he has one of the biggest cosigns from Nick Cannon, who went on to sign him to his Ncredible imprint in partnership with Art@War and Atlantic Records.

Falling in love with music his sophomore year of high school, TRAETWOTHREE states, “I liked what music did for me, so I want to be a part of that for other people.”

Most recently, TRAETWOTHREE released his highly-anticipated debut mixtape called Out The District, spearheaded by lead singles “710” featuring DW Flame, “Stuck In My Ways” featuring Blueface, and “Worth It” featuring DDG.

AllHipHop spoke with TRAETWOTHREE in downtown Los Angeles to discuss his roots, his sound, how Nick Cannon found him, the new project, collaborating with Blueface and DDG, and more!

AllHipHop: How would you describe your sound?

TRAETWOTHREE: Dark R&B, but at the same time just a vibe. I’m big on vibes. It sets the tone, the whole aesthetic. It feels like you can listen to it late night. I set the tone for late night.

AllHipHop: You’re from South Central, how does that play into your life and career?

TRAETWOTHREE: It was cool, it was regular honestly. Just staying out the way is the best way to go. I’m always trying to stay out the way and stay focused.

AllHipHop: What artists impacted you the most?

TRAETWOTHREE: Definitely Nipsey coming out the city forsure. R&B-wise, I’ll say Usher, Eric Bellinger. He’s the GOAT man.

AllHipHop: How did you get into the music business?

TRAETWOTHREE: When I got discovered, I was selling shoes and they saw something in me. I met Nick Cannon, that’s my big brother. I met him and we’ve been rocking since then.

AllHipHop: Where were you selling shoes at?

TRAETWOTHREE: Dick’s Sporting Goods. [laughs] I was selling Jordan’s, crazy. Nick had some people that he was working with at the time, we were having a conversation. I was really trying to sell them shoes, but I had told him I make music in between time. I sent them some of my music, then we went to the studio for a little bit. Nick had walked in and was listening to my stuff. He told them, “I want to work with him, he’s hard.”

AllHipHop: Just like that?

TRAETWOTHREE: Just like that. This was probably four or five years ago.

AllHipHop: How did Nick end up signing you to his label?

TRAETWOTHREE: It was just organic to be honest, we had started working every single day. Me and the whole Ncredible team, we just started working. It was organic. Nick’s a big brother for real, it’s like a big brother little brother type situation.

AllHipHop: How does it feel to have a co-sign from him? He’s such a GOAT in all this.

TRAETWOTHREE: Yeah it’s huge! Even our conversations, just learning from him. Even on the business aspect, it’s definitely a blessing.

AllHipHop: What have you learned from him?

TRAETWOTHREE: Just to work hard. To keep working hard. Even watching how he works, I’ve never seen him sleep. I’ve never seen him sleep before, so I learned that just from looking at him.

AllHipHop: How does it feel to be a part of the Ncredible family? Are you the only artist?

TRAETWOTHREE: It’s a couple other artists: Justina Valentine, DW Flame out of Long Beach and Hitman Holla to name a few. I’m the only one singing and doing what I do.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CdpZHBkrPSi/

AllHipHop: How’d it feel to be featured on his mixtape, Raw&B?

TRAETWOTHREE: It was a blessing. I loved it. It tells a story that represents him. Just to be a part of anything he has going on, it’s dope.

AllHipHop: Bring us back to that recording session for “GOT HOES.”

TRAETWOTHREE: He had sent me the record and it was an LA West Coast beat. It was organic honestly. Anytime me and Nick are in the studio, we’re vibing. We have a good time for real, we be turnt up. For real, we be turnt.

AllHipHop: How was it doing the Wild’ N Out Tour?

TRAETWOTHREE: It was big! That was my first time really performing. To be doing it in front of arenas every night, I was doing arenas with 15K, 20K people. It was crazy. It definitely gave me a lot of experience after that. It was amazing.

AllHipHop: Were you nervous that’s a lot of people??

TRAETWOTHREE: Nah. It’s crazy because once they throw you out there like that, it’s no room to be nervous for real. You have to do what you do, you’re in the spotlight. 15K people, you gotta do it.

AllHipHop: Have you performed in front of that many people?

TRAETWOTHREE: Nah, that was my first time. They put me on the biggest stage that I’ve ever done. We did the Staples Center, we turnt that up. The whole city came out, it was crazy.

AllHipHop: How does it feel to do that in your hometown?

TRAETWOTHREE: Man, it was so big. It was so big for the city because these are people who watch me grow up and grind, so it meant the world to me to do it in the Staples Center. Well now the Crypto.com Arena.

AllHipHop: Out The District out now, how are you feeling?

TRAETWOTHREE: You know, Out The District is my first body of work. So it’s amazing, it’s been a long time coming. I’ve been working on this project for about three years. I was putting songs together and being versatile with it, so it’s amazing.

AllHipHop: Why did you name Out The District?

TRAETWOTHREE: Just because this is the start of my career. It’s the introduction. It’s important that I let people know where I’m from. All the music and everything comes straight Out The District, out of the Crenshaw District.

AllHipHop: You got some bangers, including “Stuck In My Ways” featuring Blueface.

TRAETWOTHREE: Shout out Blueface, we went crazy on that. Blueface is from right around the way, so that was really organic. We were gonna do that anyway, but we had locked in. Our teams have been locked in for years now, so we came together and did something dope for LA. I had sent him the record and he got it back to me the same day. He was rocking with it.

AllHipHop: That quick?!

TRAETWOTHREE: That quick. It was big. That’s one of my biggest features I’ve had so far, so I love it. Blueface was gassing. You know he be gassing.

AllHipHop: Do you have a favorite song on the project?

TRAETWOTHREE: I’ll say “710” with DW Flame. Even the recording session, the process of everything. We were making a gang of records all day. Probably five or six records. It was showing love to Long Beach. Even though I’m not from Long Beach, I have mad love for Long Beach. I spent a lot of time out there. Artists back then, they used to always be like “Compton to Long Beach to Inglewood.” Just showing love to different cities, so it’s cool for us to do that in this new generation.

AllHipHop: How’d you end up getting DDG on “Worth It”?

TRAETWOTHREE: Shout out to his team. My manager set that up with his manager, shout out to Meechie. That’s my boy. Once again, that was real organic. Just being cool with his team and my team, we made that happen. But he sent it back ASAP too. We got it done, then we got the video done. It was a big vibe, especially on set. It was definitely cool.

AllHipHop: Who or what inspired “Done Done”?

TRAETWOTHREE: It’s crazy, I made “Done Done” a couple years ago. It’s a real vibe. I’m Nigerian, so I definitely wanted to get versatile and show everybody how I can get on any type of beat. It’s a big vibe on that one.

AllHipHop: Talk about your Nigerian roots and how that plays into your music.

TRAETWOTHREE: It’s crazy because my favorite genre out of everything is Afrobeats, that’s literally what I listen to every single day. My dad’s side, my granny is Nigerian. It made me want to get closer to my roots, closer to my culture. I’ve definitely been tapped into that for quite some time now.

AllHipHop: What is it you want fans to get from your story?

TRAETWOTHREE: I want people to see everything I could do, how versatile I am. Just appreciate the music, it’s a worldwide sound. This is the introduction of me, and hopefully people love it.

AllHipHop: Three things you need in the studio?

TRAETWOTHREE: A Cup Noodles, Casamigos, and manual lights. So we could change the lights and set the vibe, set the mood.

AllHipHop: Goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?

TRAETWOTHREE: I’m hitting all of my goals to be honest. Just to keep making better music, bettering myself and staying consistent honestly. Better videos, I want to grow my artistry in every single way possible.

AllHipHop: What do you like to do when you are not doing music?

TRAETWOTHREE: I’m a big binge watcher of Netflix. I play Xbox a lot, that’s what I’m really into. I just be kicking it.

AllHipHop: Anything else you’d like to let the people know?

TRAETWOTHREE: Go get Out The District, out now. Make sure y’all download it: Apple Music, Spotify, all platforms. Shoutout to Ncredible, Art@War and Atlantic Records. We going crazy.

AllHipHop: Do you have a memory with Nick Cannon you can share with us?

TRAETWOTHREE: I don’t know because we kick it literally almost everyday. We just kick it every single day. I feel like every day’s a memory for real, it’s always something going on. It’s not anything specific.

Coi LeRay Defends Drunken Stupor: “We Get Lit!”

Coi LeRay has a problem! She was set up when her so-called friends videotaped her drunk out of her mind after party a few days ago. Now, the Internet loves to play Sherlock Holmes and they did it again on this one.

They did their best to connect her to Megan Thee Stallion, but it didn’t really work. It seems that Coi was partying with Megan a day or so before the video broke to the Internet and she had the same clothing on in both videos. She could’ve worn the same thing for days, like a true rockstar or is she could’ve been overdoing it with one of the hardest hot girls in the music industry right now.

Nevertheless, people were highly concerned when they saw the 25-year old rap artist in a bath tub of water almost fully submerged. It definitely gave people Whitney Houston vibes. On top of that, she was nonresponsive when a person asked if she was OK.

https://twitter.com/TheMindOfHY/status/1551686605085220865?

By the way, that friend was no friend to me. She literally posted on the Internet that she intended to post more video and gave the devil emoji afterwards. That’s not really a good look! Anyway, this is definitely an example of “what about your friends.”  When I say friends I don’t mean the person that videotaped her, that was no friends. She should have some kind of security around her, even if it’s just Homies.

Lastly, Coi has responded to concerns and criticisms of her drunken post. She essentially says there’s nothing to worry about and then she gets lit. Period.

“First of alllll!!! Lmaooooo there’s other videos before thissssssss lmaooo y’all alll crazy!!!. And seconddddd WE GET LITTTTTT and 3rd I always get in the tub when I’m drunk lmaoo y’all leave me alone.”

“I see a vlog posted ‘Pray for Coi Leray.’ Please pray for me. I need all the prayers I can get.”

“It’s the vlogs are making it seem like I’m dead in the tub,” as she laughed and noted that she was tipsy after mixing 818 Tequila with Don Julio 1942 Tequila.

“I guarantee you gonna be in the tub just like I waswhen you’re super drunk and you’re lit, my advice is for you to take a bath. My clothes didn’t come off because these b****s in the bathroom with me and my momma here with me.”

https://twitter.com/MilagroGramz__/status/1551995735457103873?

I do think that she needs to have some sort of an intervention, because getting this drunk like that is not healthy at all and certainly getting this drunk and being happy about it isn’t a good thing either. She definitely needs help.

I will say this, her best friend and her mother said that she was safe and having fun with families and friends.

Moms said, “We have fun that’s what we do. it was all laughter and fun, stop hating, we gon protect her 100,000%, get the f**k outta here.”

And yet…

Joey Bada$$ Defends Collaborating With Chris Brown

Hip Hop artist Joey Bada$$ finally dropped his 2000 studio LP on July 22. After delaying its scheduled release in June, 2000 arrived last Friday with features from Diddy, Westside Gunn, Larry June, Capella Grey, and JID.

R&B/Hip Hop superstar Chris Brown also showed up on the 2000 track “Welcome Back” along with Capella Grey. Apparently, some of Joey Bada$$’s fans had an issue with CB appearing on the project.

Earlier this week, Joey Bada$$ took part in an “Ask Me Anything” session on Reddit. One user questioned the New York City-bred rhymer about collaborating with Chris Brown for 2000.

“Chris Brown is one of the most talented artist musicians of all time are you kidding me,” replied Joey Bada$$. It was an honor that he was even so willing to be a part of my album.”

The emcee/actor, under the Redditt user name badmon247, continued, “He’s also a friend of mine. I get it, you guys may not think he’s perfect or cool because of things he’s done in his past, but which one of you guys are perfect?”

Chris Brown has faced legal trouble throughout his career. Back in 2009, the “Run It!” singer found himself in the middle of an international media firestorm after being arrested for assaulting his then-girlfriend, R&B/Pop star Rihanna.

Additionally, Chris Brown reportedly had violent encounters with Drake and Frank Ocean over the years. Drake and CB eventually reconciled. The two Grammy winners united for Drizzy’s “No Guidance” and Breezy’s “Not You Too.”

Another person in the HipHopHeads subreddit’s AMA session called the original questioner “brave” for asking Joey Bada$$ about working with Chris Brown. In response, Bada$$ wrote, “He’s not brave. He’s close-minded.”

Chris Brown not only appeared on Joey Bada$$’s 2000 album in 2022. The RCA act released his tenth studio album, Breezy, in June. The deluxe version features Lil Durk, Capella Grey, Fivio Foreign, Lil Wayne, Yung Bleu, Lil Baby, Wizkid, H.E.R., Bryson Tiller, Ella Mai, EST Gee, Jack Harlow, Blxst, Tory Lanez, Anderson .Paak, and Davido.

Vince Staples Reacts To Making Barack Obama’s Summer Playlist

Once again, former United States President Barack Obama presented his favorite songs from the first half of the year. A single by Hip Hop artist Vince Staples made the final cut.

“Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together. Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?” posted Obama.

For his latest list of favored records, Barack Obama chose Vince Staple’s “Magic.” The Mustard-produced track lives on the 2022 studio album Ramona Park Broke My Heart.

Staples reacted to being selected for Obama’s Summer Playlist. At first, the 29-year-old Long Beach native quote-tweeted the 44th POTUS and simply added, “Dead Homies.”

Around three hours later, Vince Staples returned to the social media platform. The West Coast recording artist asked his followers, “If I convince Obama to get put on the set y’all gon be mad?”

“Magic” featuring Mustard dropped on Valentine’s Day earlier this year. While commenting on the song, Vince Staples stated, “I think [‘Magic’ will] put the listener in a good state of mind.”

Ramona Park Broke My Heart came out on April 8 via Motown Records and Blacksmith Records. Vince Staples’s fifth studio LP earned widespread praise from professional music critics.

“It’s symbolic of home,” said Vince Staple about the project’s title. “And everyone has a home. Even though it’s very personal to me, everyone can relate to it. That’s why I thought it would work for this chapter.”

Other Hip Hop songs to make Barack Obama’s 2022 Summer Playlist include “Split/Whole Time” by Lil Yachty, “Last Last” by Burna Boy, “When I B On Tha Mic” by Rakim, “Too Good” by Drake, and “Die Hard” by Kendrick Lamar.

Megan Thee Stallion Announces Sophomore Album Is Finished

It looks like Hottie season is coming back soon. Megan Thee Stallion informed her 29 million Instagram followers that she is almost ready to drop another body of work.

Last night, the Houston-bred rapper used her Instagram Story to give a hint about the status of her current recording process. Megan Thee Stallion posted a Boomerang video of herself in the studio.

The caption for the self-described Hot Girl Coach’s late-night IG clip read, “So happy [about] my album, 🔥 it’s finished, 🔥 it’s for the hotties, 🔥 it’s honest, 🔥 it’s me, 🔥 it’s real.”

In addition, Megan Thee Stallion teased an upcoming track with fellow Texas rhymer Sauce Walka. The 27-year-old Texas Southern University graduate shared another Boomerang. For the second post, Meg wrote over the video, “Ya spill me 💦💦💦 @sauce_walka102.”

That potential collaboration would come after Sauce Walka caused a stir by claiming to have more money than Megan Thee Stallion. The Al Rage Walka creator also recently partied with two of Megan’s most high-profile adversaries – 1501 Certified Entertainment CEO Carl Crawford and recording artist Tory Lanez.

Megan Thee Stallion dropped her debut studio LP, Good News, in November 2020. The album peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 100,500 first-week units. Hot Girl Meg’s Something for Thee Hotties compilation arrived on DSPs in October 2021.

The Roc Nation affiliate’s project discography also includes the Make It Hot (2017), Tina Snow (2018), and Suga (2020) EPs. The 2019 Fever mixtape earned a Gold plaque from the Recording Industry Association of America.

Since the start of 2022, Megan The Stallion has released singles such as “Sweetest Pie” with Dua Lipa, “Plan B,” and “Pressurelicious” featuring Future. Meg found out this week that she was nominated for three MTV Video Music Awards at the 2022 ceremony.

Only Takeoff & Quavo Promoted As Migos For National Battle Of The Bands

It appears the rumors of Migos parting ways may have some validity. Two members of the Atlanta-raised trio will perform at the 2022 National Battle Of The Bands in Texas.

The National Battle Of The Bands announced Migos as the headliners. However, an official promotional flyer for the largest HBCU marching band event only features Quavo and Takeoff without Offset.

Speculation of a Migos break-up started circulating online earlier this year. The possibility of the “Bad and Boujee” hitmakers splitting gained even more traction when Quavo and Takeoff presented the “Hotel Lobby” single as a duo.

Migos dropped out of the 2022 Governors Ball Music Festival in June. A representative for the group claimed Quavo’s scheduling issues caused the cancellation. Plus, Quavo and Takeoff later began promoting themselves as Unc & Phew.

According to a press release, the National Battle Of The Bands organizers believe booking Migos can help elevate the event into the mainstream conversation. The NBOTB leadership hopes that greater exposure translates into more awareness and scholarships for the HBCUs and their band programs.

“The addition of world-famous Hip Hop act, Migos, to the 2022 National Battle of the Bands lineup is a gigantic milestone, merging popular Hip Hop with the spirit and soul of music produced by our nation’s finest HBCU marching bands,” said Derek Webber, Executive Producer, National Battle of the Bands.

Derek Webber continues, “We’re thrilled that spectators will get to see the iconic band showcase and a premier Hip Hop performance with the same ticket.” Migos is the first internationally-known act to perform during the NBOTB weekend.

The 2022 Pepsi National Battle of the Bands presented by Toyota takes place on August 27 inside Houston’s NRG Stadium. Eight different Historically Black Colleges and Universities will be at the event. Tickets are available at nationalbattleofthebands.com.

Mary J. Blige Talks Collaborating With H.E.R. & Summer Walker

Tonight (July 27), fans of Mary J. Blige from around the world will get to see her Apple Music Live performance. The 9-time Grammy winner’s one-night-only event in New York City will feature her running through some of her biggest hits.

Ahead of the special showcase from the United Palace theater in Manhattan, Blige spoke to Apple Music’s Nadeska about her career. The Queen of Hip Hop Soul also spoke about working with H.E.R. and Summer Walker, two of the most celebrated contemporary female R&B singers.

“The first time I saw H.E.R. perform was at the Black Girl’s Rock show and I was getting honored and I was sitting in the front row where she came out with this guitar and all this hair,” recalled Mary J. Blige. “And I would say, ‘Who was this beautiful little girl with this bass?’ I was in love from day one. Her music was just incredible. So standing ovation and much, much, much love to her.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJ19E1z4KZk

Blige adds, “And I always wanted to work with her. And this was the opportunity. She heard through the grapevine, we called her, it happened, and the session was amazing because she’s just beautiful and a musician she’s got a bass, she’s like, ‘So what are we talking about?’ She’s beautiful.”

H.E.R. appears on the remix of the title track for Mary J. Blige’s fourteenth studio album Good Morning Gorgeous. Additionally, H.E.R. has a producer credit for the song. Blige apparently wants to work with Summer Walker as well.

“And to meet Summer Walker, who’s another beautiful person and super talented, and to have my arms open and love on them because I was young and I didn’t get that kind of love from a lot of the people that came before me,” stated Mary J. Blige. “So I just wanted, ‘What we doing? How we doing it? You all can help me too, I need some help too. What’s new?’ You got to keep your ear to the youth so they can help you too.”

Summer Walker released the Still Over It album in November 2021 which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Back of My Mind by H.E.R. came out in June 2021. The RIAA certified that project as Gold. Thanks to Good Morning Gorgeous, Mary J. Blige scored her nineteenth Top 10 entry on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Little Simz & Kojey Radical Shortlisted for Prestigious 2022 Mercury Prize

Little Simz and Kojey Radical are among the artists competing for this year’s Mercury Prize, arguably one of the U.K.’s most prestigious awards, crowning the best British record of the last 12 months.

The shortlist was announced on Tuesday (Jul. 26), and the winner will be revealed at the awards ceremony on September 8.

Little Simz is one of two returning nominees, having been previously recognized for her 2019 album Grey Area. She took to Instagram to confirm that Sometimes I Might Be Introvert has been shortlisted for this year’s prize.

“So grateful. Love to my brother @yardmanflo for always backing it, and pouring love in abundance into the music. And to YOU, the people. Thank you for the continued support on this album 💗” Little Simz added.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CgeQcrOoTOa/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

She told BBC 6 Music: “I had some things to say and this was my way of expressing it and it’s a blessing people have resonated with it. The list is so strong so to be amongst that is definitely an honour. I definitely will carry this energy throughout me today.”

Kojey Radical Says He Manifested The Mercury Prize Nod

East London native Kojey Radical received his first ever nomination for the coveted award. He was shortlisted for his long-awaited debut album, Reason To Smile, released earlier this year.

He took to Twitter on Wednesday to note – despite currently “battling imposter syndrome,” he had manifested the moment way back in 2016 when fellow U.K. rapper Skepta won the Mercury prize.

Kojey Radical then shared the story on Instagram, recalling: In 2016 i was sat at home watching @skeptagram win the mercury prize and being physically moved with inspiration. I always dreamed of being shortlisted…Creating a piece of work that could be considered worthy of recognition while joining my peers in the honour.”

He also explained the impact of touring with 2015 Mercury Prize winners, Scottish Hip-Hop trio Young Fathers. “In 2015, @young_fathers took me on my first tour. They had just won the mercury prize and gave me an opportunity that changed my life,” Kojey Radical stated. “I remember many long conversations, with them reminding me that good music isn’t about popularity. It’s about intent and purpose.”

Chris Brown Responds To Lawsuit Accusing Him Of Fleecing $1 Million Payment For Houston Hurricane Relief Concert

Chris Brown said there has been a misunderstanding after an organizer of a benefit concert for victims of Hurricanes Ida and Nicholas threatened legal action after the singer canceled his performance shortly before he was scheduled to perform.

Ms. LaJuan Bailey booked Breezy to perform at the “One Night Only” concert at the Toyota Center in Houston. The proceeds from the event were to raise money for people who suffered storm damage in the 2021 hurricanes. She alleges she paid Chris Brown a $1 million advance and covered his accommodation and a private jet. Bailey claims to have paid out a total of $1.1 million. However, she claims that the “Go Crazy” hitmaker canceled the day of the event (Mar. 19), and she only found out during soundcheck.

“I acted in good faith and sponsored this concert out of love and respect for residents in need,” Bailey said during a press conference. “I am appalled that Chris Brown refuses to refund my money for a show he did not appear to after we announced our show and sold tickets.”

The local businesswoman and activist claims Brown has allegedly refused to reimburse her for the $1.1 million.

“At this point, it is my humble belief that Chris Brown’s actions are parallel to pure theft,” she added. “He has the unmitigated gall to take my money, stand up the residents of Houston, then return to the city to perform on August 17, 2022. My message to Chris Brown: We will not sit back and allow you to disrespect the victims of Hurricane Ida and Nicholas in need.”

Chris Brown Responds

However, according to TMZ, Chris Brown allegedly sent a letter to event organizers via his legal team two days before the event (Mar. 17), informing them he would no longer perform.

The letter claims CB backed out because Bryson Tiller was removed from the lineup without a suitable replacement. This violated his contract, and so Chris Brown would not perform.

The outlet report sources close to Chris Brown confirm both sides have been engaged in settlement negotiations. They also state that the singer has offered to make a 6-figure donation to a charity in Houston.

Shaun Milli Blows the Lid off of the Song “Love Me”, Listen Now

https://youtu.be/f3gokRFw3D4

If you’re into Hiphop and R&B music, then I invite you to listen to the brand-new single by upcoming artist Shaun Milli. The song is called “Love Me” and you can listen to the track, as well as watch the official music video on YouTube here:

The song starts with a smooth keyboard intro and as soon as Shaun Milli sings “I ain’t got that much time left” it becomes clear that this man was born to sing. There is a real strength to his voice, yet at the same time it is super easy to listen to and it’s not overpowering.

He effortlessly manages to hit those higher notes as well, as you can hear in the first verse when he sings “I think it’s best if I move to the left”. As soon as the chorus starts and he sings “Love me” it becomes clear that this artist has managed to create a timeless piece of art that puts him way above most other artists in today’s music industry.

This is clearly a man who has been singing for most of his live and I sure hope the world is ready for such a talented singer and songwriter!

But it’s not only the vocals that are spectacular; the keyboard melody is super smooth, the drums and bass perfectly complement Shaun’s vocals and the electric guitar adds even more depth to the entire track. The mixing and mastering is fantastic as well.

This track was produced by Roy Made It (who just produced Yk Osiris new single called Be My Girl with Polow Da Don). In a world full of toxic and superficial music that gets

released every day, a real song like this is very refreshing to hear. Not only is the song great by itself, it also features an official music video that is perfectly tailored to the music (see above).

It’s great to see a video and a track like this that is old-school and take it back to a time when a man is actually trying to win over a woman by trying to please her and not treating her like trash and disrespecting her. There is a real style and class to Shaun Milli that most artists can only dream of.

This artist is able to take the listener on a journey that you didn’t even know you desperately needed! I think it’s only a matter of time before more and more people will listen to Shaun Milli and he will replace certain other artists that also happen to be called Shaun… So, for all those reasons I can only recommend you do yourself a favor and listen to the brand-new Single “Love Me” by Shaun Milli, and make sure to follow him on Social Media as well! Lil Duval Flown To Nassau For Surgery; Struck By Car While Riding A 4-Wheeler

Lil Duval was flown to a Nassau hospital on Tuesday evening (Jul. 26) after a car hit the 4-wheeler he was riding, leaving him with a broken leg.

The comedian, who lives on an island in the Bahamas, took to Instagram to announce the news. He shared a video of medics transferring him from an ambulance to a plane. Lil Duval is seen wincing in pain while laid out on a stretcher. He even cries out in agony at one point in the clip as he is lowered to the ground.

While the full extent of his injuries is unclear, Lil Duval has multiple bandages covering wounds all over his body. His left leg and right arm also appear to be in some sort of temporary support.

The video also shows Lil Duval stretched out on the plane’s floor while on the flight to Nassau.

“Somebody hit me in they car while i was on my 4 wheeler,” Lil Duval explained in the caption. “Now my leg broke and i gotta get flown over to nassau and have surgery.”

Kodak Black Threatens Lawsuit; Claims “I’m Being Racially Profiled”

Kodak Black claims his latest arrest is a result of harassment from the cops and says he’s planning on taking legal action after being “racially profiled.”

The Pompano Beach, Florida native was arrested on July, 15 after being stopped by Florida Highway Patrol. They claimed his tints were not legal and found Oxycodone pills and nearly $75,000 cash during a search of his vehicle. Kodak is currently on house arrest and must seek permission from the court to leave unless for medical reasons or court appearances. He is also required to submit to regular drug testing and faces going back to jail.

However, Kodak Black and his attorney state the medication was legally prescribed by a doctor after the rapper got shot earlier this year. The “Super Gremlin” hitmaker goes further, stating cops should never have stopped him in the first place.

Kodak Black Says It’s “Character Assassination”

“This S### bogus Af I feel like This a character assassination issue Kuz theirs no way I should be getting harassed bout my tag being expired,” Kodak said. “That’s no reason to even search my car in the first place and going to jail about having my medication in the car is insane.”

He added,” Ima Sue these people for every dollar I gotta spend bout this s### !”

Kodak Black claims he’s being “racially profiled,” and deserves his freedom. “With everything I do for my community,” he added, “I should be getting love , respect and support from the authorities ! To move freely , not getting arrested for expired tag and dark windows.”

The rapper was honored by Broward County Commissioner Dale Holness with a proclamation marking June 11th Kodak Black Day as recognition for his numerous charitable contributions to his city.

While he acknowledged he could have prevented his arrest by ensuring his vehicle tags and tints were legit, Kodak says he’s being treated unfairly. “I should have a pass to drive with tints due to my status AT LEAST !!! I show all this love round here just to get slapped in the face 😔” he added.

Without a Doubt, ATM Tako is an Artist to Watch Going Forward.

Jaylon Torres, aka ATM Tako, has been on a tear in 2022. Starting off his career only a couple of years ago, he has always had a love for music. Seeing what the trenches had to offer, he wanted to see more for himself. With no opportunities or anything to really help make it out, ATM Tako started to focus on his passion. Releasing two singles, an album, and multiple videos in just this year alone, Tako has been the definition of consistent. Ironic enough, ATM Tako’s latest project was titled “Definition of Real”, proving that he lives what he raps. With his strong versatile sound, Tako stands out amongst other underground artists.

His ability to blend together melodies along with his strong rap flow is impressive. Also, his bold and hard-hitting flow is one we have yet to see crack the surface of the industry. At only 19 years old, Tako has proved to be determined enough to land a top spot in the music industry. Born and raised in Louisiana where music is not necessarily as big, this has added fuel to ATM’s fire as well.

To this day, ATM Tako has a combined 600,000 views on his Youtube channel and over 1,000 subscribers. 2022 will definitely be the year we see him break a million plus views. Also hitting 15,000 followers on his Instagram this year, his page has been growing by the day. Securing features on his latest album from Hartbreaak, Yung Bino, Backend Foreign, and Dice Soho, many power players in the industry are also recognizing his talent.

From day one ATM Tako has never looked back. With plans to release much more content throughout the summer and final months of the year, we should only see his platform continue to elevate. Also working on some more projects and singles with even bigger features than the last, we should also see Tako announce some release dates in the coming months. Without a doubt, he is an artist to watch going forward. Make sure to also check out ATM’s latest album “Definition of Real” which can be found on all streaming platforms and he can also be found on Instagram @realtako_ .

The Kid Mero Says Split With Desus Is “Natural Progression”

The Kid Mero discussed the end of Desus and Mero during a radio appearance on WFAN.

Mero didn’t address a report claiming the duo broke up over their manager, but the comedian shared his perspective on why the two went their separate ways.

“It’s just natural progression,” he said. “It’s like we said on the podcast, ‘It’s Hollywood, baby.’ You develop strengths and things that you wanna explore and do. And then things come through naturally, things just happen naturally. Like Spike Jonze said on the Viceland show, ‘Everything is finite.’ What’s the corny cliche? Don’t be sad that it’s gone. Be happy that you experienced it.”

Although Desus and Mero are no more, the latter did provide a glimmer of hope regarding a reunion. He mentioned the possibility of working with Desus again at some point down the line.

“Everybody grows,” he said. “I’m sure D’s got his things that he wants to do. I got my things I want to do. And they’re very specific to us. We’ve been a duo for a long time. I love everything that he’s done. It’s just natural. I’ve got my life, my worldview, my things going on, and he got his. So, it’s only right that, instead of just staying like, ‘We’re only going to do this one thing,’ let’s explore. Let’s break out. Let’s see what we do as individuals, and then form like Voltron later on. Who knows?”

Listen to Mero below. The topic of Desus and Mero’s split begins around the 3:40 mark of the video.
