SIGNS: High School Students Could Face Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Ban In California

Hold onto your taste buds, folks, as the snackapocalypse begins in the state of California with a rapture of sorts and the spicy chips geared toward the youth.

A fiery storm is brewing in Cali as lawmakers set their sights on some of your favorite snacks, including the iconic Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. But that’s not all–brace yourselves for a whirlwind of bans that could reshape lunchtime as we know it.

Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel (D-Encino) is spearheading a bold new bill aimed at ridding public schools of snacks containing artificial additives like the notorious Red 40, Yellow 5 and Yellow 6. These sneaky ingredients lurk in everything from Takis to Doritos, threatening to send our taste buds into exile.

“This legislation will not ban any specific foods or products,” Gabriel assures. “But it’s a wake-up call for companies to clean up their act if they want a slice of the California school snack market. And trust me, that’s a huge slice.”

With nearly 3 million free lunches and 1.5 million free breakfasts served daily in public schools statewide, the stakes couldn’t be higher. But this isn’t California’s first dance with food bans. Last year, the Golden State made headlines by outlawing four chemicals found in beloved candies and drinks due to their health risks.

Say goodbye to Peeps as we know them–the red dye No. 3, a cancer-causing culprit, got the boot. But the crackdown doesn’t stop there. Brace yourselves, candy lovers, for the potential axing of Jolly Ranchers and Sour Patch Kids, as well as the beloved Mountain Dew.

But it’s not just the sweets taking a hit. Snack giants like Cheetos and Doritos are on notice, their vibrant hues of Red 40, Yellow 5, and Yellow 6 under scrutiny. Even breakfast cereals like Froot Loops and Fruity Pebbles are feeling the heat, with their rainbow of dyes threatening to vanish from school menus.

50 Cent Reignites Young Buck Beef By Revisiting Transgender Scandal

50 Cent continues to be the aggressor in his grudge match with Young Buck following his recent social media posts.

On Thursday (March 14), the G-Unit creator took a moment to issue a special Throwback Thursday post on Twitter (X) featuring none other than his estranged rap peer Young Buck. In the brief tweet, 50 Cent appeared to allude to finally gaining clarity on the incident depicted in the photo, when Buck appeared to refuse to take a photo with a fan.

“Didn’t make sense when we was taking the pic, but it makes whole lot of sense now,” he wrote. “That boy like them boys! gunitbrands.com.

As if 50 Cent’s Twitter post wasn’t enough, he also re-shared the photo on Instagram with the same caption.

50 Cent has notoriously ridiculed Buck for the rumors swirling around his sexuality. Following Young Buck’s 2022 arrest for a domestic disturbance, 50 made fun of him and his situation in an Instagram post, claiming his former associate was “Buck B-Unit Bi sexual Unit.” He even took shots at Young Buck throughout his expansive Final Lap Tour last year.

The pair of posts mark a trend of 50 Cent picking on Young Buck, who recently spoke about it during appearance on Steve O’s podcast.

“We was once brothers,” he said. “I’ve always looked at you as big bro. Yes, I made mistakes too but I’ve never did anything to try to take food out of your mouth or stop you from eating. See how aggressive he is to me. Is he trying to Ja Rule me?”

Drake Really Is “Mr. Steal Your Girl” Says Social Media Comedian

Drake really is on demon time when it comes to being the center of attention around his associates and their female friends, according to social media comedian BenDaDon.

During a recent appearance on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place podcast, BeDaDon broke down the embarrassing and somewhat predictable origins of he and Drake’s now infamous skit. In case you missed it, BenDaDon and Drake delivered a skit last year in which Drake successfully stole a woman the comedian appeared to be entertaining on a date after bumping into the pair “randomly” at the bar.

However, BenDaDon appeared to review the chances of bumping into Drake randomly as random as one would think considering he’s apparently notorious for pulling the same type of stunt with the guys.

“That literally happened because he does that,” BenDaDon said in part.

He continued, remarking on the specific occurrence which inspired the skit in his statement. “I think that we was in D.C. one day. And I was just talking to a girl. And then when I seen the n###a [Drake] come I was like, ‘Ohh s##t,’ and then you try to square your body up away from him or something. Because it’s a bunch of people in here that want to talk to you but right now I’m busy, bruh. This ain’t the time I’m trying to talk to you.”

BenDaDon went on to say that he sometimes feels the need to tell Drake to “back the f##k up,” especially when he’s coming on strong, which he says Drake often jokes about being a light flex.

Don Toliver & Kali Uchis Welcome Baby Boy With “Deep In The Water” Video

Don Toliver and Kali Uchis announced the birth of their first child on Thursday (March 14). The couple held their baby boy in their arms in a video published on Instagram.

“You are everything we could have hoped for & more,” the couple wrote. “Thank you God for our beautiful healthy baby boy & thank you all for the Good energy along the way. may our home & your homes forever be blessed with peace, happiness & health.”

The Instagram post included audio from Toliver’s new single “Deep in the Water.” He released a music video featuring a brief glimpse of his newborn son on Thursday.

Uchis and Toliver disclosed her pregnancy in January. Uchis explained why they decided to keep her pregnancy out of the public eye for many months in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

“We always talked about wanting to have a kid, so we were really happy,” she explained. “[But] I didn’t want to share that journey with just anybody. There’s so many people out there, even within my own family, that don’t wish me well. I didn’t want anybody to know until I felt that my pregnancy was viable. Ask any pregnant woman [why] they’d want to keep it private. It’s such a vulnerable situation.”

Uchis said she felt ready for motherhood, which was something she “always wanted to experience.” She told the Los Angeles Times she got sober and went through significant healing before she got pregnant.

Toliver revealed his son’s arrival a day after confirming his new album. The project is scheduled to drop later this year.

“In this Picture…At that very moment I realized I Overcame Soo Much … in such little time,” he wrote on Instagram. “An I’m still Here to overcome even more…..Working on the Best Version of Me forever. Album This Summer. It’s mine. HardStone Psycho.”

Method Man Names What He Hates Most About Working In Hollywood

Method Man reflected on his acting career and much more during an appearance on Carmelo Anthony and The Kid Mero’s 7pm in Brooklyn podcast. The Wu-Tang Clan member identified the most frustrating aspect of working in Hollywood when asked if the music or film/TV industry was easier to navigate.

“That Hollywood machine is—I love the work,” he said. “Let’s just say that. Let’s get that out of the way. It’s just the politics I don’t like. The taking meetings and things of that nature. I don’t like it. It’s just not something I like to do.”

The legendary rapper noted he had “way more control” in the music industry compared to Hollywood. He recalled how he needed to prove himself to key players in Hollywood since his celebrity status was both a gift and a curse.

“I had to show them that I was actually serious about it because I mean, the first name they hear is Method Man,” he said. “They don’t hear Clifford Smith. I had to strip back the layers of Method Man. I had to embrace it because Method Man got me in the door. But then once I got in there, I had to show them that I was willing to do the work. I’m good at the work and give me the f###### job. Give me the f###### job. But you should never go into an audition wanting the job. You should go to the audition to showcase your translation of a scene to play.”

Method Man found success as an actor, landing roles in dozens of films and TV shows. After appearing in hit series such as The Wire and Power Book II: Ghost, Tical said his dream role would be portraying Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson in a biopic.

Benzino Publicizes Montage Of Eminem Using N-Word Ahead Of “Rap Elvis” Video

Benzino fired back at Eminem’s “Doomsday Pt. 2” music video with a flurry of Instagram posts. The Boston-bred rapper attacked Eminem by showing several instances of Slim Shady using the n-word in the past.

“Throughout history you always had some black people who will constantly make excuses for racist white people,” Benzino wrote. “There will always be someone of color who thinks this is ok and it’s sad.”

Benzino teased the release of his “Rap Elvis” music video, calling it the death knell for Eminem’s career. The self-proclaimed Eminem slayer said the diss track’s visuals will blow people’s minds.

“Oh y’all’s minds will be [mind blown emoji] when you see this,” Benzino wrote. “I already [coffin emoji] him with [‘Rap Elvis’] so when I drop the video he’s permanently [headstone emoji] RIP.”

Eminem’s “Doomsday Pt. 2” video dropped on Wednesday (March 13). The video featured cameos by Big Sean, J.I.D, Denzel Curry, BabyTron, Cordae, Swae Lee and Teezo Touchdown.

Earlier this year, Benzino called out Eminem for not helping Detroit artists. The former co-owner of The Source took credit for Big Sean, who’s worked with Eminem before, and BabyTron appearing in the “Doomsday Pt. 2” video. The other artists were not from Detroit.

“If it took me for Skittles to team up with and put on them dope young artists in Detroit then I did well,” Benzino wrote.

Benzino also accused Eminem of getting plastic surgery.

“He finally responded!” Benzino wrote. “can someone tell me what in the plastic surgery happened to his face?? He looks like a waking corpse. Nah…this ain’t it. RAP ELVIS DESTROYED @eminem.”

Eminem dissed Benzino on “Doomsday Pt. 2,” which dropped in January. The song appeared on Lyrical Lemonade’s All Is Yellow compilation. Benzino responded with his “Vulturius” and “Rap Elvis” diss tracks, continuing a beef that started more than two decades ago.

SIGNS: COVID-19 Reportedly Cause Of Death For 70-Year-Old “Iron Lung” Polio Survivor

A man who lived in an iron lung for seven decades after contracting polio as a child has died after contracting COVID-19.

In a tale of resilience that spanned more than 70 years, Dallas native Paul Alexander left an indelible mark on the world, despite being confined to an iron lung since childhood. Paul’s journey began at the tender age of six when polio struck, rendering him paralyzed from the neck down in 1952.

His remarkable story, chronicled through a GoFundMe page aimed at supporting his care, reached its poignant conclusion on March 11, as moderator Christopher Ulmer revealed Alexander had succumbed to Covid after a valiant battle. Ulmer bid farewell to Alexander, acknowledging his enduring legacy and the impact of his shared experiences in a message that read, “Paul, you will be missed but always remembered. Thanks for sharing your story with us.”

Alexander’s early years were spent inside the mechanical confines of the iron lung, earning him the moniker “the man with the iron lung.” This life-sustaining apparatus acted as his surrogate diaphragm, enabling him to breathe following a tracheotomy necessitated by the aftermath of polio.

Trapped within the metal casing, Paul Alexander faced unimaginable challenges. His inability to move or communicate left him reliant on the care of nurses, often resulting in moments of isolation and neglect. Yet, amidst adversity, his resilience shone through. Thanks to his father’s inginuity, through the aid of a simple plastic stick affixed with a pen, he found a means to connect with the world, tapping out his thoughts and navigating modern devices.

Alexander’s plight was not unique; he was one of many children thrust into iron lungs during the polio outbreak of the 1950s. However, his spirit remained unbroken. Over time, Paul Alexander defied the odds, learning to breathe independently and carving out moments of freedom outside the confines of his metallic sanctuary.

Despite his physical limitations, his thirst for knowledge and determination propelled him to university, where he earned a law degree, a testament to his unwavering resolve. His journey culminated in the release of his memoir in April 2020, offering a glimpse into the inner workings of a mind that refused to be imprisoned by circumstance.

Reflecting on his life’s journey, Paul Alexander once shared with The Guardian, “I knew if I was going to do anything with my life, it was going to have to be a mental thing.”

50 Cent Fans Lose It After “Power Book II: Ghost” Is Canceled

50 Cent disappointed Power Book II: Ghost‘s loyal viewers by informing them the show was ending. STARZ canceled the series ahead of its fourth season as part of a cost-cutting strategy on Thursday (March 14).

Power Book II: Ghost’s final season will be broken into two parts. The first half premieres on June 7 with the second half scheduled to debut on September 6.

“Brace yourself for the final chapter,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram. “The two-part final season of #PowerGhost premieres June 7 on @starz.”

50 Cent promoted Power Book II: Ghost’s final season a day after announcing the development of a new spin-off titled Power Origins. Earlier this week, STARZ CEO Jeff Hirsch explained why the network wanted new shows like Power Origins instead of continuing a series like Power Book II: Ghost.

“When seasons go from one to two to three to four [seasons], three to four is where the cost really pops because most of the actors get bigger raises, and you have to really manage that,” Hirsch said a Deutsche Bank media conference. “So, you have to have in your portfolio of development shows that can actually replace shows as they get into later seasons.”

Hirsch continued, “You look at the [Power] map and say, ‘Okay, if I take one of those characters out and spin one of those out, I can bring that on to replace the Power show at half the cost,’” Hirsch said. “Now I’m putting a lot of money right to the bottom line. And I’m really not losing anything in terms of acquisition costs and subscriber viewership, because we know what those demos want. And we know how to line those up. And so that’s really the core of getting to that 20 percent [margin] — turning that slate over with fresh content to drive the business.”

Jamaican Dancehall Star Vybz Kartel Scores Major Victory In Murder Case

Jamaican dancehall star Vybz Kartel, who has collaborated with everyone from JAY-Z to Rihanna, won his appeal in a London court on Thursday (March 14) over his conviction for the murder of an associate more than a decade ago. Kartel has been held a Jamaican jail since 2011 over the disappearance of his associate Clive “Lizard” Williams, whose body has never been recovered.

Kartel and three others—Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St. John—were convicted in 2014 following a 64-day trial in Kingston, one of the longest in Jamaican history. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 35 years, although that term was later reduced on appeal to 32-and-a-half.

A post shared by KING OF DANCEHALL (@vybzkartel)

In February, Kartel and his co-defendants filed their final possible appeal with the Privy Council in London, the final court of appeal in Jamaica and some other Commonwealth countries. Their appeals were allowed by the court, which means they could get a retrial.

Kartel has maintained his innocence since Williams’ disappearance. But during the trial, prosecutors provided what they deemed a key piece of evidence: a text message said to be sent from Kartel’s phone that claimed Williams had been chopped up into so many pieces his body would never be found.

Kartel and his co-defendants have filed appeals before. In 2017, they cited the impact of publicity on the fairness of the trial, among other things, but the appellate judges found no evidence to suggest publicity tainted the trial. Three years later, Jamaican lawmakers upheld the original verdict and dismissed appeals from all four men.

Flavor Flav Gifts Billie Eilish Custom “Barbie” Clock Necklace Following Oscars Win

Flavor Flav and his Public Enemy partner-in-rhyme, Chuck D, recently teamed up for a single called “Everywhere Man.” Keeping up with the theme, Flav continues to pop up, well, everywhere. Most recently, he was spotted at the 96th Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles, where he gifted Billie Eilish a customized Barbie clock necklace.

The thoughtful gift arrived shortly as Eilish and her brother, Finneas O’Connell, took home the trophy in the Best Original Song category for “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie film soundtrack. Flavor Flav shared several photos of his night at the Oscars, which included one of Eilish showing off the pink and white clock as Jon Batiste laughs in the background. Flavor Flav also rocked his own Barbie clock necklace for the affair.

Flavor Flav is in the middle of a career resurgence after getting sober a few years ago. He and Chuck D hadn’t been on the best of terms until recently, when they started doing shows together again. In January, Chuck hopped on the aforementioned single, “Everywhere Man.” While it wasn’t necessarily a Public Enemy reunion track, it marked the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees’ first collaboration in years.

lav and co-writer/producer Sam Hollander were able to take it to the next level. With the assistance of new technology, “Everywhere Man” has been translated into 27 different languages. They collaborated with artists around the globe to get the rhythm and music right in each of the languages, which includes Arabic, Bangladesh, Chinese, Dutch, French and German.

“I give my thanks to God for even being able to have the power and opportunity to do all of this,” Flavor Flav told AllHipHop at the time. “A lot of brothers from our era aren’t here to talk about it, but God has been preserving us. We ended up becoming mouth pieces to the world. Our music, it helped shape and change a lot of people’s lives and it even helped change our own. I’m just grateful to be able to wake up today.”

Cardi B’s Tooth Issues Explained By Her First Veneer Dentist

Cardi B faced a minor setback when one of her veneers unexpectedly dislodged. But thanks to some swift intervention, the issue has been resolved.

Sources tell AllHipHop Cardi B fixed her tooth mere hours after she went viral for losing a veneer on a hard bagel. “Cardi’s veneer emergency was short-lived as it was re-glued hours after it dislodged,” the source said. “She’s good and she made light of it.”

Veneers, popular among celebrities and individuals seeking a flawless smile, are thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of teeth to improve their appearance. Despite their durability, veneers can encounter emergencies due to various factors, including inadequate oral hygiene, trauma or natural wear and tear over time.

Cardi B Shows Off Huge Tooth Gap After Losing Veneer To Bagel

Dr. Catrise Austin is the dentist who initially gave Cardi B her superstar smile more than seven years ago. A leading expert in cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Austin told AllHipHop what happened with her former client.

“Emergencies can happen with veneers just as they can with your natural teeth,” she explained. “It’s crucial for individuals to understand the potential risks and be proactive about their porcelain veneer maintenance routine to protect their smile investment.”

Speaking further on the matter, Dr. Austin emphasized the importance of seeking proper dental care from licensed professionals. “Many folks are choosing unlicensed and illegal ‘veneer technicians’ over licensed dentists because of the cost difference, and this is a huge mistake,” she stated. “Properly trained professionals prioritize patient safety and minimize the risks of emergencies, ensuring the longevity and health of your smile.”

Lil Wayne Claimed To Operate “Drug-Free Workplace” For $9M In Pandemic Aid

Lil Wayne reportedly told the government his touring company was a “drug-free” workplace in order to secure $9 million in federal aid.

According to Business Insider, he warned his employees about the “dangers” of drugs and said they could be punished or ordered to rehab if they were caught using. Subsequently, the Small Business Administration (SBA) moved forward with Lil Wayne’s request, and the government cut a $8.9 million check to his company Young Money Touring Inc.

Post Malone allegedly did something similar, telling the SBA his touring company was anti-drugs. But during a 2020 interview with Joe Rogan, he copped to taking mushrooms while recording. The documents Lil Wayne and Post Malone signed were just the tip of the iceberg. The SBA likely didn’t investigate their requests at all in its rush to cut checks. Last year, the agency’s inspector general admitted employees had just four hours to review applications.

A post shared by Lil Wayne (@liltunechi)

In a statement, the SBA said it didn’t cover “personal actions” of people like Lil Wayne and Post Malone or any drug use outside the period from March 2020 to June 2022.

“When you have social status, your substance use is treated in a different way,” Harold Pollack, a public-health expert at the University of Chicago, said. “They don’t brutalize a lot of celebrities for behaviors that we would very harshly treat in people with less prestige.”

Post Malone and Lil Wayne’s companies were among the recipients of aid under the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program, which was intended to help struggling music venues avoid bankruptcy. As with many federal programs, recipients had to certify they followed federal laws.

“The fact that touring artists have a different lifestyle doesn’t mean that they weren’t impacted in a substantial way by the pandemic,” Josh Schiller, a lawyer who has represented clients in the entertainment industry and sued to legalize marijuana, said. “Was there a better use of those grants? I think that’s really a good question.”

Lil Wayne has never hid his love for marijuana and other substances. In fact, he has the word “baked” tattooed on his face. The $9 million grant could come back to bite him though. The SBA told applicants that they could be sued or even prosecuted for lying.

Antonio Brown Teases “Put That Sh*t On” Remix With Kanye West

Kanye West has the No. 1 song in America thanks to his “Carnival” collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign, Playboi Carti and Rich The Kid. Ye could score another Hot 100 chart entry as a guest feature on an Antonio Brown song.

Seven-time NFL Pro Bowler Antonio Brown transitioned to being a Hip-Hop recording artist. The ex-Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver released his “Put That S### On” single under the stage name AB.

Antonio Brown recently teased a music megastar as a potential guest feature on a remix of the “Put That S### On” track. On Wednesday (March 13), AB tweeted, “PTSO remix [soon arrow emoij] @kanyewest.”

Additionally, Antonio Brown’s X post included what appeared to be the cover art for “Put That S### On” featuring Ye. That announcement tweet collected more than 4,000 likes on the social media platform.

AB previously partnered with Miami-bred MC Rick Ross for 2020’s “Whole Lotta Money” music video. His record catalog also includes other songs such as “60 Minutes” and “Home From The N.O.”

The Himmothy project album arrived in April 2020 followed by Paradigm in 2022. Antonio Brown recruited names such as Fivio Foreign, DaBaby, Young Thug, French Montana and Keyshia Cole for Paradigm.

Kanye West is coming off securing a No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. His Vultures 1 joint LP with Ty Dolla $ign spent two weeks in the Billboard 200’s top spot after debuting with 148,000 first-week units.

Sukihana On Collaborator OJ Da Juiceman Getting Arrested: “I Literally Want To Cry”

Sukihana released “Selling Coochie” featuring OJ da Juiceman on March 6. A week later, law enforcement officials in Coweta County, Georgia arrested the rapper born Otis Williams Jr.

According to reports, OJ da Juiceman took local police officers on a short car chase on March 4 after getting flagged for speeding. Authorities also charged the East Atlanta native with drug and firearm offenses.

Sukihana took to the X social media platform to address her “Selling Coochie” collaborator getting taken into custody. The Love & Hip Hop: Miami alumna expressed frustration over the situation.

“Me and OJ is #3 on iTunes Hip-Hop and he just got locked up. This so hurtful. We supposed to be celebrating this moment. I know he would be happy,” Suki tweeted. She continued, “I was bringing him on stage for Rolling Loud. I literally want to cry but God got us. He coming home soon.”

As of press time, Sukihana and OJ da Juiceman’s “Selling Coochie” sits at No. 25 on the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap chart in the United States. The song’s music video has amassed 1.1 million YouTube views since its premiere.

OJ da Juiceman released two studio albums, The Otha Side of the Trap and The Otis Williams Jr. Story, between 2009 and 2014. He scored a moderate hit with “Make tha Trap Say Aye” featuring Gucci Mane in 2008.

Sukihana rose to fame as a reality show star and internet personality. The Delaware-born entertainer dropped her Wolf P#### mixtape in 2020. She also made a cameo appearance in Cardi B’s “WAP” music video that same year.

Lil Mama Reflects On Stage Crashing Jay-Z & Alicia Keys VMAs Performance: “I Was Depressed”

The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards is one of the most memorable award shows of all time. Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech and Lil Mama jumping on stage during Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” performance featuring Alicia Keys became iconic television moments.

Lil Mama’s infamous stage crash at the 2009 VMAs ceremony has followed the “Lip Gloss” rapper for the past fifteen years. The 35-year-old New Yorker reflected on that low point of her career during an interview with The Jay Hill Podcast.

“I had to deal with propaganda which is basically journalists from like the Wendy Williams to the radio stations, The Breakfast Club, or even at the time, Ed Lover was up there,” Mama stated. “It was giving gossip. It wasn’t giving leadership, it wasn’t giving fellowship.”

The former America’s Best Dance Crew judge also said, “I was hurt, I was depressed. I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ You got everybody telling you you’re doing bad. People pointing at you like, ‘What did you do?'”

Jay-Z has spoken about the Lil Mama incident. In 2021, the Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer said, “Of course [we forgive her]. C’mon. Don’t do that. That’s our sister. Man, we love her. I wouldn’t recommend people just jumping on other artists’ stage, but we don’t wish her no harm.”

Lil Mama responded to Jay’s comments. She wrote, “I appreciate hearing this portion of last [night’s] conversation. This has always been my stance, Love. Love for both my big brother, big sister, and my city. It brings clarity to all of us as a community to actually hear these words from our legendary leaders.”

After the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Lil Mama earned favorable reviews for her portrayal of the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in VH1’s 2013 biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. The VYP (Voice of the Young People) album creator also starred in reality shows like Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta.

Coi Leray Says She’s “Not Worried” About Possible TikTok Ban

The United States House of Representatives passed a bill that could ban the use of TikTok in the country. If the Senate also passes the legislation and President Joe Biden signs it, the outlawing of the social media app could affect recording artists like Coi Leray.

Some U.S. lawmakers claim TikTok, a subsidiary of the China-based company ByteDance, is a national security threat. The current bill in Congress would require ByteDance to sell TikTok or face banishment from the American marketplace.

“TikTok is not a streaming platform. And I never looked at it as one. I’m not worried,” Coi Leray tweeted on Wednesday (March 13). “As long as you don’t take away Apple Music, Spotify, Soundcloud, Tidal, [Audiomack], YouTube Music, Amazon Music, I’m good. Music and the love I have for it, is forever.”

Coi Leray partially found success as a mainstream act by going viral on TikTok. Her 2022 single “Players” gained traction on the app before becoming a platinum-certified, Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“Players” peaked at No. 9. on the Hot 100. Previously, Leray scored Top 40 songs with “No More Parties” featuring Lil Durk in 2021 (No. 26) and “Blick Blick!” featuring Nicki Minaj in 2022 (No. 37). She has six total Hot 100 entries in her career.

Coi Leray did not reach the same chart heights with her two studio albums. 2022’s Trendsetter only made it to No. 89 on the Billboard 200 rankings. The 26-year-old rapper’s self-titled sophomore LP leveled off at No. 102 last year.

According to the outlet, Coweta County sheriffs discovered cocaine and a 9 mm handgun in the rapper’s possession.

Authorities reportedly took OJ Da Juiceman into custody on March 4, where he was hit with multiple charges.

He is reportedly accused of cocaine trafficking, possession with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm, obstruction of justice, evidence tampering and eluding police. He is currently held without bond, with his next court date listed in December.

This latest arrest comes nearly two years after OJ Da Juiceman was arrested in Kentucky on weapons and drug charges.

As reported by AllHipHop, the rapper was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

However, on that occasion, OJ Da Juiceman was reportedly granted bond and was released on the same day of his arrest.

Benzino Takes Credit For Eminem Putting Detroit Rappers In New Video

Benzino is attempting to resurrect his beef with Eminem after the Detroit legend shared the visuals for “Doomsday Pt. 2.”

Slim Shady took a shot at Benzino on the track, which appears on the Lyrical Lemonade compilation All Is Yellow, which dropped in January.

Benzino fired back, releasing two diss tracks aimed at Eminem, “Vulturius” and “Rap Elvis,” before threatening to release a third if Em failed to respond.

However, it appears Benzino confused the newly released “Doomsday Pt. 2” video as a response.

He shared his reaction on Instagram Wednesday (March 13), just hours after the video dropped.

“He finally responded!” Benzino declared before adding several laughing face emojis. Benzino then continued targeting Eminem, suggesting his looks hint that he’s had some surgical assistance.

“Can someone tell me what in the plastic surgery happened to his face??” he questioned. “He looks like a waking corpse. Nah…this ain’t it. RAP ELVIS DESTROYED [Eminem].”

Eminem tapped J.I.D, Denzel Curry, Teezo Touchdown, Cordae, and Swae Lee to appear in the Cole Bennett-directed video. Fellow Detroit rappers Big Sean and rising star BabyTron also feature.

However, in a follow-up post, Benzino took credit for Eminem putting “young dope artists” on. For context, he bashed Em on “Rap Elvis,” for not showing love to rising Detroit rappers.

“It’s about fkn time,” Benzino said.

Meanwhile, Bezino’s daughter Coi Leray, who Em namechecked in “Doomsday Pt. 2.” also reacted to the video.

“Cute,” she replied in Cole Bennent’s Instagram comment section.
