Y.O. Rapper Iman Nunez Shows Fans His ‘Growing Pains’

One complaint many Hip-Hop lovers hate about new rappers is that they don’t seem to say a bunch of anything in their songs. A particular kind of lyricism is lost on a whole generation, so one might think.

Now enters Iman Nunez…

The Yonkers emcee is carrying the banner for legacy acts from his city like The Lox and reminding those who love the culture that there are real emcees out there.

Now, with his new project, a two-track song pack called “What’s Next?” he is ready to take the summer by storm. “What’s Next?” contains the songs “Growing Pains” featuring Dizzy Banko and “Coast.”

“Growing Pains” is a thoughtful song that captures the spirit of a king elevating above the brokenness of urban jungles.

“I love your soul but I cannot have you around me. I’m working to be better than I am, and you’re just stuck on who I was so I can’t have you drown me. No disrespect, but we ain’t kids no more and now I got more people I’m providing for…” he says in the opening of the song.

His other offering “Coast” is also a gem, allowing you to see his thoughts about his bubbling career.

A career that has people talking and seeming to be excited.

It is only right because he is putting in work.  He just completed his  Rosedale Tour and shut down SXSW with an epic performance. He has appeared on mixtapes and some of Hip-Hop’s most important stages like New York City’s S.O.B.’s.

He also has multiple songs with Styles P, who stamped him with features on joints like “Roberto Cavalli) and “Yes, Lord!”

“Growing Pains” is available on streaming platforms now.

Freddie Gibbs’ Ex-Girlfriend Mad Over Breakup After Fighting Griselda Crew And Paying His Phone Bill

Freddie Gibbs’ ex, adult film star Destini Creams aka TheFitMami, has taken it to Twitter to talk about their split.

According to the woman, once she got pregnant, Gibbs went from doting about their love to dodging calls. Eventually, after he told her to get rid of the child and she stopped paying his phone bill, the two stopped speaking.

It was revealed Gibbs was dating an adult film star last year. It seems around this time in 2022, the two were in love and couldn’t get enough of each other. In fact, they had matching baseball jerseys with her nickname Fit Mami 69 and his, Big Rabbit 11.

Now that things are bad and the two are on the outs, she’s airing out all of his business on social media.

“So y’all remember when I dated Freddie Gibbs right? well let’s talk about it,” she tweeted on May 4. “Freddie and I met in 2020 when he slid into my DMs on Instagram. and for the record, he always knew I did p### and was very supportive.”

“After we made it official blogs started posting about us, we didn’t care we were just having fun,” the next post read. “Shortly after that it was time to go to Europe. we went, we enjoyed it, everything was great. We would always talk about having a baby. none of it was one-sided.”

https://twitter.com/destinicreams/status/1654232511583510528?s=20

“After we got back from Europe his stateside tour started. everything was good until we got jumped in Buffalo, NY. here’s me fighting looking thicc in the orange. Freddie is in the back in the green.”

“That day really changed everything for me. I ended up having to get a prescription for Xanax because I was so paranoid. I was having nightmares. it was horrible. I felt like I was going crazy at times.”

https://twitter.com/destinicreams/status/1654232526423031810?s=20

“Then one of his baby mamas who I’ve never met, & never even spoken to started sending me these voice memo threats, talking about the fight that I was literally involved in trying to pull people off of him. be f###### forreal😂”

https://twitter.com/destinicreams/status/1654232652084391937?s=20

“1.) Everyone knows I do p###, I’m not ashamed of it. 2.) My BD and I have joint custody of our daughter. I get her for a week, then she goes to her dad’s for a week. anytime I was with Freddie it was during the weeks my daughter would be at her dad’s.”

“So, no I was never “pawning” her off with anyone. ANYWHOOOO.. This is my chain that was snatched during the fight, and literally Benny wearing it the next day💀 I think all they ended up getting from me was the charm but ✨still✨”

She posted that she started to feel scared whenever they went to New York.

“Shortly after we decided to take a vacation to Hawaii for Freddie’s 40TH birthday. we brought his mom, I set up a picnic for him on the beach…”

After a series of posts, sharing videos and text messages to show that they were really in love, she mentioned they wanted to have a son and name him “Penny,” after Penny Hardaway.

Then she posted a video of him telling her how much he loved her and wanted her to live with him.

https://twitter.com/destinicreams/status/1654233403930079233?s=20

But then says after she actually got pregnant, he flipped on her.

“December 12 came around and I took a pregnancy test that was very faintly positive. I was supposed to get my period December 13th so I was right around 4 weeks pregnant when I found out.”

“When I told Freddie his tone immediately changed. I let a few days go by because I knew he was in Chicago with his family for the holidays, but I also knew we had to continue this conversation.”

https://twitter.com/destinicreams/status/1654233415510638598?s=20

“I’m so confused at this point because have we not been talking about having a baby for the last 8 months??”

“Shortly after this we had to go to Australia and I could tell he was still avoiding the conversation. One night we went to the club and he was like ‘I know we have some s### to figure out when we get home’. it was a 2-week tour but I decided to leave after 1 week”

“I needed to get home, find out how far along I was etc… So, I flew home and a couple weeks went by. When Freddie got home from Australia we talked again in person. he was telling me how he “wasn’t ready for a child” this and that… whole time I’m just confused cause.”

“The next morning, he had to go to NY for Jimmy Fallon, and I told him if he wants me to get an abortion is not going to continue to be in a relationship with him. He cried. I cried. That was the end of that. so, I went to the abortion clinic thinking I was about 9 weeks pregnant.”

“I get there and the doctor lets me know I’m closer to 12 weeks, and I saw our little baby moving around and I knew then that I couldn’t go through with it. after we broke up, I turned his phone off, because I was paying his phone bill.”

“He never checked on me after, ‘said procedure’ never called to confirm if I went through with it. I just simply never heard from him again.” Adding, “I’ve reached out to him, his manager, his assistant, and no one will respond, I feel like I’ve done my part, kept it real, and this is the thanks I get. noted.🫡 I no longer want a response, no bad blood. I’m going to be just fine. But I had to speak my truth💕”

Freddie Gibbs has not commented on her side of the story.

Method Man Talks Dealing With Depression

Clifford “Method Man” Smith has found success in the music industry and the television industry. Despite forging a legendary career in show business, the Wu-Tang Clan member has still had mental health struggles.

Stand-up comedian Kevin Hart spoke with Method Man for the latest episode of the Gold Minds podcast. At one point, Hart asked his Soul Plane movie co-star about dealing with depression and overcoming that internal adversity.

“I was my own shadow, meaning I was in my own way,” said Method Man. He continued, “I had to get out of my own way. I saw that I could not control the people around me, but I could control myself. One thing that stood out for me, when I was younger – basically being a little dirty kid with nothing, no control over where I lived, what I ate, where I slept. But I had these sports – football and lacrosse – there I had control and I was good at it.”

He added, “So I needed those little moments where I need to be in control of what goes on in my life. I had to look myself in the mirror and say, ‘I’m tired of myself. I want better for me, I have more to contribute, and start there.’ Self-check, absolutely. If you don’t, sooner or later, somebody else is gonna check you.”

As a recording artist, Method Man contributed to critically-acclaimed Wu-Tang Clan albums like 1993’s Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The New York native went on to put out solo efforts like 1994’s Tical. He released multiple collaborative projects with New Jersey rapper Redman as well.

Additionally, Method Man presently stars in the 50 Cent-produced Power Book II: Ghost television series. Meth’s acting résumé also includes appearances on shows such as Oz, The Wire, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Blue Bloods, and The Deuce.

Cassidy On R. Kelly’s Sex Crimes: I Ain’t Here To Point The Finger

Hip Hop artist Cassidy teamed up with currently incarcerated R&B singer R. Kelly for the 2003 hit single “Hotel.” The song dropped after the infamous video of Kelly having sex with an underage girl began circulating.

RealLyfe Productions recently sat down with Cassidy for an interview. The conversation included the Split Personality album creator discussing the sexual abuse allegations against R. Kelly that came to light a year before “Hotel” dropped.

“I probably wasn’t aware of it that time. It probably came to my attention later,” said Cassidy about the R. Kelly sex tape. “And I wasn’t sure about it. At that time it was weird.”

He added, “I was a superfan of R. Kelly, and this was my first album, my first single. So to be working with somebody of that magnitude, your first go-round… For me to be trying to argue that about some tape that I don’t even know… I wasn’t doing no research and digging deep at that time ’cause I ain’t the law.”

Chicago prosecutors secured a child pornography indictment against Robert Kelly in June 2002. After the alleged victim chose not to testify, a jury found Kelly not guilty on all the child pornography counts in June 2008.

Thirteen years later, a federal jury in Brooklyn found R. Kelly guilty of racketeering, sexual exploitation, forced labor, and other offenses. United States District Judge Ann M. Donnelly sentenced him to thirty years in prison.

In addition, a federal jury in Chicago convicted R. Kelly of child pornography and exploitation charges in 2022. That sex crime conviction led to the self-described Pied Piper of R&B receiving a twenty-year prison sentence.

“I don’t got no problem with n##### being mad at R. Kelly. If that’s how y’all feel, if y’all feel like we he did actually makes you mad at heart, cool,” stated Cassidy. “But be mad at heart at anybody that’s in that bag.”

The Philadelphia-bred rapper added, “There’s a bunch a n#####, not even famous n##### like R. Kelly, just in my neighborhood alone… These industry n##### [are] worse. These n##### are crazy… So now I can do no records then.”

Cassidy refused to chastise his former collaborator for decades of child abuse and sexual misconduct against underage girls and young women. The “I’m a Hustla” hitmaker also stated, “I ain’t here to point the finger at R. Kelly and these n#####. That ain’t my job. I just respect the n####’s music.”

Nick Cannon Thanks Exes For Creating His “Toxic Origin Story”

Multi-talented entertainer Nick Cannon has been involved with several high-profile women throughout his life. According to the 42-year-old media personality, some of his former ladyloves played a role in making him the man he is today.

On Thursday morning, Cannon tweeted, “Shout out to all my toxic people that ever broke up with Somebody because they thought Somebody was about to break up with their Somebody!”

Nick Cannon also shared thoughts on how past relationships supposedly prompted his turn toward the dark side. About an hour later, he added, “To all my [exes], thanks for my toxic Origin story! Gladly turning into the villain all y’all want me to be!!”

R&B/Pop megastar Mariah Carey married Nick Cannon in April 2008. The celebrity couple have two children together – 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe. Carey and Cannon separated in 2014 before finalizing the divorce in 2016.

The Daily Cannon show host recently suggested Mariah Carey may have “fumbled” their marriage. However, in March, Cannon described his former wife as a “gift from God.”

Fat Joe Talks Independence: “The Major Label System Is A Ponzi Scheme”

Fat Joe said the independent route is the way to go in the music industry and branded the major label system a “Ponzi scheme.”

During an appearance at the Wall Street Journal‘s The Future of Everything Festival, the NYC icon opened up about why he left Atlantic Records and chose to pursue independence with his own indie imprint, Terror Squad Productions.

“I don’t believe in these people. For one, I feel like the major label system is a Ponzi scheme and they do funny math,” Fat Joe explained. “Whenever you try to see something in life, they say numbers don’t lie. If you look at a chart and the numbers are so clear where you could say, ‘The price of this is this, the price of this is this.’”

Fat Joe Questions The Numbers

Fat Joe explained his difficulty understanding how artists sell millions of records with so little financial compensation.

“You had to be like the Fugees, who sold 30 million records, to make a dollar,” he added. “I was talking to [Jennifer Lopez] about it—and you know J.Lo’s a megastar—and she was like, ‘Man, you know these guys, they only give you this [amount] and you never recoup.’ So, it’s a funny math.”

After stating how passionate artists are about their creations, Fat Joe continued. “I would have to go walk into an office to a guy who didn’t even really understand our art and culture. They just knew how to market, how to promote and make the most profit. I used to beg ’em: ‘Are you gonna push my record? Are you really gonna press the button? Are you really gonna go for it?’”

However, Joey Crack finally realized he could make more money as an independent artist by investing in his career.

“Then I figured out, ‘Hey, I got money too,’” he said before adding, “I’m self-funding everything. I would go on tour for a month or two—Yugoslavia, China, anywhere you name—save all my money and then invest in making the album, making the videos, promoting it. And even though I went independent, I kept that same look.”

Snoop Dogg Says His Bid To Purchase Ottawa Senators “Ain’t No Joke”

Snoop Dogg has opened up about his desire to own an NHL team and says his bid with entrepreneur Neko Sparks and other investors to try to buy the NHL’s Ottawa Senators is the real deal.

While some believed the Death Row Records honcho was engaged in a publicity stunt when news of his interest first broke, Snoop Dogg insisted the reports are real.

“This ain’t no joke or no gimmick,” Snoop Dogg said during a recent interview with The Athletic. “Or an image or likeness play. This is a real ownership play.”

The West Coast icon began seriously considering joining the ownership group led by Los Angeles-based entrepreneur Neko Sparks earlier this year.

“Once we started talking and building, we formed a plan to partner up and say, ‘Let’s do this together. Let’s join forces and try and get the Ottawa Senators,’” said Snoop Dogg. “We can make a difference in Ottawa and the NHL.”

Snoop Dogg plans to make an impact in the city stating, “My role in Ottawa would be a community activist.” He also pledged to attend Senators home games “at least six times a year” and teased, “If we make the playoffs, you’ll see me at least 10 times a year.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Snoop Dogg said he wants to get involved with youth hockey. “Because I never had hockey offered to me as a kid,” he shared.

Snoop Dogg Wants More Opportunities In The U.S. For “Kids That Look Like Me”

During an appearance on Tuesday on ESPN’s “First Take,” Snoop Dogg announced his plans to promote youth hockey in the United States.

He said he’s seen an increase in the number of Black players in his 25 years as a fan. “But I’m not seeing it being offered to the kids over here in America,” Snoop Dogg explained. “And then the plan that we have is to also go and build a Snoop Youth hockey league outside of Canada, so kids in urban communities can learn about hockey, can play the sport, and find ways to get into this great thing that’s called hockey.”

He added, “Because right now the NBA and the NHL is having some great playoff games and the kids need to know that there is an option to play hockey if you look like me.” Watch the clip below.

Young Thug’s Brother Unfoonk Arrested On Gun Charge

Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk’s legal woes continue to mount.

Quantavious Grier, a.k.a. Unfoonk has been arrested on a gun charge months after accepting a plea deal in the YSL RICO case.

The rapper agreed to a series of probation conditions as part of his plea deal, including one that prohibited him from having a gun.

According to multiple reports, Unfoonk faces charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and unlawful for a person employed by or associated with a criminal street gang. Authorities booked him into the Fulton County Jail on Thursday (May 4).

It is unclear how this charge affects his plea deal. Back in December, Unfoonk pleaded guilty to one count of violating the RICO Act and one count of theft by receiving stolen property. He received a 12-year sentence, with two of those years commuted. He will also remain on probation for ten years.

The rapper also agreed to a series of probation conditions. He must not have any contact with his brother Young Thug or any of the YSL Rico case defendants until the case is over.

In addition, he must serve 750 hours of community service and adhere to a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.

After accepting the plea deal, Unfoonk was accused of snitching on Young Thug and other YSL defendants. He denied the allegation on Instagram, writing, “Damn people really think I told on my own brother SMH.”

He added, “Show me in my paper work I told on anybody lol, I’m not fenna entertain any of it, peace and blessings. Read about Unfoonk’s plea deal at AllHipHop.com.

Kanye West Drops Nick Fuentes & Realigns With Milo Yiannopoulos For Presidential Bid

Kanye West fired white nationalist Nick Fuentes and rehired far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos to run the rapper’s presidential campaign.

According to emails obtained by TMZ, Yiannopoulos returned to Kanye West’s side as the director of Ye’s political operations. Ye axed Yiannopoulos from the presidential campaign in 2022.

“I have been in Los Angeles for the past week with Ye, discussing his presidential aspirations,” Yiannopoulos wrote to Fuentes. “The result of those discussions is that I will be taking the reins once again as his director of political operations.”

Yiannopoulos informed Fuentes and Stop the Steal organizer Ali Alexander about their terminations from Ye’s team via email. Yiannopoulos offered both men the opportunity to be unpaid advisers to Kanye West, but their services “may not be made public.”

Last year, Yiannopoulos took credit for arranging Donald Trump’s infamous dinner with Kanye West and Fuentes. The dinner left Trump scrambling to deny he knew Fuentes, who is a Holocaust denier.

“I wanted to show Trump the kind of talent that he’s missing out on by allowing his terrible handlers to dictate who he can and can’t hang out with,” Yiannopoulos told NBC News. “I also wanted to send a message to Trump that he has systematically repeatedly neglected, ignored, abused the people who love him the most, the people who put him in office, and that kind of behavior comes back to bite you in the end.”

Kanye West previously ran for president in 2020. He received roughly 60,000 votes.

Tory Lanez Lawyer Offers Shocking Theory On What Led To Rapper’s “Wrongful” Conviction

Jose Baez, a lawyer representing Tory Lanez, suggested mistaken eyewitness testimony led to his client’s conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

Baez cited the high percentage of unreliable eyewitnesses involved in wrongful convictions overturned by DNA evidence on Thursday (May 4). The statistic came from a report by the Innocence Project.

“Mistaken eyewitness identifications contributed to approximately 69% of the more than 375 wrongful convictions in the United States overturned by post-conviction DNA evidence,” Baez wrote on Instagram Stories.

Baez also shared an example of what he believed to be mistaken witness identification in the Tory Lanez shooting case. A jury convicted Tory Lanez in December 2022.

Tory Lanez was found guilty of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, discharging a firearm with gross negligence and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He faces up to 22 years and eight months in prison.

The Canadian rapper has remained in jail since his conviction. He awaits a judge’s ruling on his motion for a new trial, which is scheduled to be heard on May 8.

Tory Lanez maintains his innocence. Last month, he claimed he was “robbed and deprived of a fair trial.” He accused prosecutors of hiding and suppressing exculpatory evidence that exonerates him.

ESPN Analyst Eaten Alive By Twitter Over Lizzo Fat-Shaming

ESPN analyst PK Subban faced backlash for body-shaming Lizzo on national television.

Subban, a former NHL player, referenced Lizzo while discussing the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers playoff series on Tuesday (May 2). ESPN anchor John Buccigross mentioned how the Maple Leafs needed to “pack a lunch,” which sparked Subban’s comments.

“Maybe they need to pack a Lizzo-sized lunch,” he said.

Subban’s remarks were met with criticism on social media. The hockey player-turned-analyst joined a long list of people who have body-shamed Lizzo during her career.

Last year, Kanye West mentioned Lizzo’s weight in an interview with Tucker Carlson. Ye suggested the media used her to promote obesity.

“When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots … on Instagram, they attack her losing weight because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it’s actually unhealthy,” he said. “It’s demonic.”

She responded at a concert in Toronto.

“I feel like everybody in America got my m############ name in their m############ mouth for no m############ reason,” she said. “I’m minding my fat Black beautiful business.”

Subban hasn’t issued an apology for his comments about Lizzo.

Famous Dex Loses $49K By Default In Stolen Watch Lawsuit

Famous Dex never responded to a lawsuit over a stolen watch, leading to a default judgment in the case.

According to MyNewsLA, a Los Angeles judge approved a man’s request for default judgment in the lawsuit on Tuesday (May 2). Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Teresa A. Beaudet agreed to sign off on a $49,000 ruling in favor of Michael Francati, who sued Famous Dex in 2021.

Francati accused the rapper of stealing his luxury watch and lying to the police about it. Francati sued for theft, intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraudulent misrepresentation, negligent misrepresentation and unjust enrichment. He previously asked to be awarded $172,586.

Famous Dex allegedly drove away with Francati’s watch after the plaintiff allowed the rapper to display it on Instagram. The Chicago-bred artist claimed four men stole the watch in a robbery, which Francati reported to the police.

Francati wound up in handcuffs after calling the cops. Famous Dex allegedly told the police Francati staged the robbery. Francati saw the rapper showing off the watch later that night.

Last month, Famous Dex announced he’s been sober for 11 months.

“I’m not doing drugs no more,” he said. “I’ve been drug-clean for 11 months. I’m happy and healthy.”

He checked into a rehab facility in 2022.

That’s a double inspiration, getting it from my ancestors and all those who came before me. But I walk my own path.”

19Keys is someone who always aims to inspire and empower others to unlock their full potential, to their highest level. Which is also the name of his own podcast called High Level Conversations, created as a platform for powerful discussions on topics such as financial literacy, self-development, the future of technology, and cultural empowerment. To date, 19Keys has had special guests such as Joey Badass, Dame Dash, Chaka Bars, Billy Carson, and more.

Additionally, 19 Keys owns multiple businesses, including Goldewater which is a health company in which he hires direct family.

AllHipHop spoke with 19Keys in downtown Los Angeles to discuss his upbringing, starting his own business after leaving his 6-figure job, his name, the courses he offers, thoughts on AI, his podcast, love for hip Hop, and more!

AllHipHop: Growing up in Oakland and St. Louis, were you in the streets as a kid?

19Keys: It’s funny. We were in the streets because we grew up in those neighborhoods, in Oakland and St. Louis. At the same time, I’ve always had a level of consciousness and awareness about what I was doing, and about the state of the world. While we’re in the conditions, while we do crimes. But when you’re in an environment, environment is stronger than nature, so we got caught up in the same rhythms that everybody did.

AllHipHop: What did you want to be, career-wise?

19Keys: The same thing any child wanted to be: a lawyer, a doctor, a fireman, a scientist, something of that nature. But I remember distinctly as a child, always having an innate feeling that I was destined to change the world in some capacity. The world robs you of that dream, as you grow older and tell you to think about things more realistic. But as I continued to develop myself, that feeling came back, and I found it in a way of speaking or teaching.

AllHipHop: How did you get into this field?

19Keys: I was hired a few times, before I even had a social media following. The children in this organization at Chabot College, they asked me to come up there and speak. They told their program directors. I had 400, 500 followers on Instagram, but they had seen me on my daily motions. I fired my job, started me a business. I documented my daily journey.

AllHipHop: You fired your job?

19Keys: Yeah I fired them. You fire your job when they no longer fit. They can no longer afford me. I stole all the experience that I could.

AllHipHop: What were you working?

19Keys: I was working for Prada, I was making six figures. I was doing sales, things of that nature. I was really good at it, probably the best they’ve ever had.

AllHipHop: I’ve never heard someone say they fired their job.

19Keys: Yeah, it’s a two-way street. We don’t learn the lexicon of language. A job can fire you, you can fire them when it’s no longer working out. I fired them, started my own business. Took that experience for myself, I had a store in Oakland.

AllHipHop: What was the store?

19Keys: It was a clothing store, but it was mixed. I made art, we had glasses, everything was all my designs. We had everything from jackets, ready to wear things made from scratch. Everything had a meaning, it was a very powerful store. It was becoming a little landmark people could come to.

AllHipHop: What was it called?

19Keys: It was called Musahill. Musahill comes from this story of this man who civilized savages. He had to take them over this hill, in order to get them to finally listen to his teachings. We created Musahill because in the story, he had to do something violent to get their attention, because that’s all the savages respected. Musahill was about being able to curate that knowledge and that symbol, without having something violent or negative happening. Instead, it was all about representing, getting over that Musahill and living in your daily basis.

AllHipHop: How’d you get your name, 19Keys?

19Keys: 19 Keys comes from Master Fard Muhammad. He was the one who taught Elijah Muhammad. Elijah Muhammad was the one who taught Malcolm X, Minister Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam, so on and so forth. He had a quote in the 1930’s, he said “there’s 17 million original people, and there’s two million Indians. That represents the 19 million rusty locks.” He said “there’s 19 million well-oiled keys to unlocking those rusty locked minds. That well-oiled key was interchangeable for knowledge of self, awareness, enlightenment, so that other people can never be oppressed again. I took on that moniker as a representation of the work that I do is all about enlightening the minds.

AllHipHop: Talk about the courses you offer.

19Keys: We have several different ones. The main one I teach right now, that I’m passionate about is mental engineering. Mental engineering is teaching people about the customization of self. We’re all different by various degrees. But most people take general information, try to learn and apply to themselves without actually knowing who you are. In this class, we teach you everything from your personality types, your intelligence type, even teaching you how to identify childhood traumas. Learning how to learn.

We also teach Web3 and technologies, such as AI, creative intelligence, how to use it. I say 80% mindset, 20% skill set. A right mindset, you can master any skill set. A truly transformational mind is one who knows how to critically think, knows how to problem solve. Not just knows how to identify new technologies, but knows how to use them in creative ways and what to do with them. We teach you how to be willfully emotional resilience. It’s really about tapping into the highest level of yourself.

AllHipHop: What are your thoughts on AI? Because I feel there could be negative impact…

19Keys: Every technological advancement has a negative side to it. Look at social media. We’re constantly using social media to talk about the negative impacts that AI will have, but my social media has already had dark impacts. They put together all kinds of documentaries, movies, and there’s science that backs us up. But there’s a lot of positives that come from it as well. I’d never want social media technology to go back into the box. Because without it, you don’t get individuals such as myself. You don’t get certain political movements of women’s rights. You don’t get so many different things, because media education was not democratized at first.

I believe that anytime we have an advancement of technology, it can have the benefit of those who are at the bottom if they learn how to use it to rise to the top. At the same time, those at the top have the leverage already. They have the ability to use it because they have the resources. It’s up to the poor class to try to use it to rise out their conditions. AI is nothing but a system that’s built off natural intelligence, built on our prefrontal cortex. If it’s built on the way that we think, it’s nothing to fear because we already have that within us. People fear replacement, because they probably weren’t advancing parts of their own human thinking.

AllHipHop: When do you start the High Level Conversations podcast? How’s it been?

19Keys: We started a little over a year ago. It’s become a cultural phenomenon. We’ve passed 30 million views now. We have episodes that have become really classic within our culture. It’s been the greatest way to spread the movement of enlightenment really. That’s what it’s all about, the highest level human beings reach from enlightenment to shame. Shame, you don’t like what you do or you feel guilty. Enlightenment is when you release all of that, you can actualize self and reality.

A lot of the things we teach or we talk about with the different guests on the show, we make it a visual experience. You’re watching a show/documentary/podcast. We put a lot of production value in it. You get the b-roll, you get the sound effects, the quotes, all the texts. It’s a beautiful show. We have scientists, we have philosophers, we have athletes, we have rappers. We have all minds and personalities from all across the world.

AllHipHop: What was the point when you were able to turn into a profitable business?

19Keys: That’s a good question. All my businesses start off as profitable, to be honest. The last one of creating a media company with High Level Media for High Level Conversations was the most capital intense one, that we had to wait to start turning profit. I’ll look at it very simple: we’re in a completely different day in age than we’ve ever been. Your margin is your percentage of winnings you can get. If I got a product that cost me $1, I’ma do 300% markup. I’ma sell it at $3. Because I might have to pay staff, might have to do product, might have to do marketing with a couple of those dollars.

For me, I start businesses off profitably. It didn’t get to where you’re going to have significant growth till I started the family business. My family business is a health company. We sell Goldewater, colloidal silvers, mushrooms such as Lion’s Mane and Cordyceps. Things that stimulate the mind and the body. Once I did that and I was able to hire family, that’s when I was able to reach a level of success. Because I created a business that didn’t just serve me.

It served my family and the world.

AllHipHop: So you hired your family?

19Keys: Yeah. Moms, dads, sisters, brothers, cousins, younger brothers. That one’s been beautiful.

AllHipHop: How proud are they of you?

19Keys: Man, I’m pretty sure they’re pretty happy. Because they don’t gotta work for anybody else. Now they got the opportunity to experience life, with a little less pressure. I’m not saying I’m making them rich, but I’m giving them a foundation to chase their other dreams as well.

AllHipHop: You seem like a very health-conscious individual. What do you do daily to take care of your mental health and your health?

19Keys: One of the things I like to do is breathe. I don’t think people really breathe. I’ll take a lot of time out of my day to just stop. [inhales] They got what you call a double breath. The double breath is when you fill your lungs all the way up, then take another one. What it does is it fills all the pockets of your lungs and clears off all the carbon dioxide. It destresses your body instantly.

Beyond that, a little bit of meditation. Getting you some sun at the beginning of the day, and possibly towards the end of the day. At peak hours, it resets your own body and destresses you. Then, I stay away from suckers. When you stay sucker-free, you become stress-free. Drink water. 88% of Americans don’t drink water now, they came out with the statistic. People replace it with drinks and soda. People are not hydrating the body. We’re 70% to 90% water, so we have to rehydrate so that electricity throughout the body can flow. You have a thirsty society. [laughs] In many ways.

AllHipHop: Talk about your love for Hip Hop and how it ties into everything you do.

19Keys: Hip Hop raised me in many different ways. If you grew up how I grew up, Hip Hop was always an unofficial big brother or uncle in the household. Because it has a major influence from seeing the rappers: how they dress, how they spoke. I remember watching the Lil Wayne performance when he came out, the song called “Gossip.” I remember seeing him exclaim he’s the best. At a certain point in time, the world believed it. What I felt like I was watching was confidence and manifestation, in reality. The lessons that I got from that: if you believe in yourself, the rest of the world will believe in you.

Hip Hop showed us a lot of young men and women who came from poverty, who was able to style their way into success, just by thinking it. With nothing but sheer voice and breadth. That was different from somebody telling you you have to be a lawyer or a doctor. Music is therapy. When you’re going through something, you can catch a vibration and it’s a frequency attached to it, it can get you through some of your worst moments. To your best ones.

AllHipHop: Who are some of your favorite artists?

19Keys: Kanye West was the first album I bought. Younger, it was definitely mixtape Wayne. Then we got Jay. Being from the Bay, we had The Jacka.

AllHipHop: I’m from the Bay, I was hoping you’d say The Jacka or Mac Dre.

19Keys: The Jacka for sure. Because The Jacka was the first street Muslim. That I was able to hear, see myself in the raps. He’d be talking about the streets, but then he’d be talking about some Islam at the same time. It was always an interesting combination. That was his whole entire persona. I even liked Lupe Fiasco when I was younger. I used to listen to the lyrics for the logic in it, what he would say? How dope it was for him to be able to put it together. The Nas’, the Kendrick’s, the Cole’s. My younger brothers:  Anpu, JackHellaClassic. Those are my favorites growing up.

AllHipHop: Talk about the Highest Lvl Tour, how excited are you?

19Keys: I’m excited because something like this ain’t really been done. Somebody such as myself, a young guy, a thought leader, being able to go on tour and accumulate a community of people coming out there for a different vibration than they’re used to. Everybody knows you go to a concert, you go to the club, you can go hear somebody rapping and you catch a vibe for a second. But what if you catch that same vibe, and you learn something to better yourself?

You’re around an environment of people that’s high level at the same time, then you go back home and that’s your night. We give you a new experience and a new culture. We’re magnifying all the people that’s high level in your city, they’re coming together for one night. Those are the people you need to tap in with. Those are the people bettering themselves. Those are the people who’re doing business. Those are the people with that higher level Echelon in life. We’re attracting the leaders around the world, not the followers. Listen, it starts off at the Apollo Theater on May 4th.

AllHipHop: On your birthday right?

19Keys: Yeah, on my born day. Big Taurus season! Y’all will know who the special guest is afterwards. I can’t let people know now, but it’s gon’ be different. It’s gon’ be special. One of them ones.

AllHipHop: So they don’t know who the special guest is until day of?

19Keys: Nah, you just gotta show up. If you rock with it, show up. I’m that type of person, I only want the real there. I don’t want people because we advertise it, it’s super special. If you knew about it, don’t be like “oh I knew but I didn’t go. I wish I could have.” I don’t want you there then. I want the people who recognize how special it is in the moment, not after the moment has passed. I’m bringing my tribe together, it’s high level culture.

AllHipHop: Any goals for yourself at this point of your career?

19Keys: I got habits, I don’t have goals. Practicing what I preach. Anytime I have a thought I want, I gotta write it down. I gotta execute it into reality. I gotta build strong teams around me so that any goal we have, we can get done. I rewrite, execute on a daily basis. I focus on the present, but I’m always future-oriented. This tour has been in the making for years. We have technology that’s going to be coming out. We have festivals we’re going to be doing. We have centers, collaborations, movies, all those things. Those are goals, but the habit of me constantly mastering myself so that when that time comes: we have the budget, we have the relationships, we have the network. We know how to build those systems. That to me is what I’m focused on right now: being a person that can accomplish the goal, rather than being the person that has the goal.

AllHipHop: Anything else you want to let us know?

19Keys: I’d love to see a new level of Hip Hop come about, because I believe the rap culture is no longer teaching us the best ways to live. It’s no longer projecting the future we want to see as a culture. It reflects negativity and people create songs for the money. If AI takes over rappers, so be it because at least they’re not killing nobody, or at least influencing the world to kill. We’ve seen things like the King Von documentary, to where we got a culture that celebrates death. We need a culture that celebrates life. That ain’t gangsta to hunt down your brother. That ain’t gangsta only uphold negative values.

Nah, the culture of Hip Hop gotta go back to its foundation where we’re building out culture for something that’s positive. Once we change what they call a lyrical form, and individuals that do put out good music, such as my brother Anpu, LaRussell, Symba, Jay Electronica. Whoever it may be, we gotta support those artists. Because the radio’s not going to support them. The only way they grow right is if the fans that respect the music, actually spend the music, stream the music, share the music. When they do things, you have to support that so people like Coast Contra create a completely new culture. Where it’s like damn, then that becomes the influence. I always say you want the most positive people in the world to have the most money. Right now, we see what happens when negative and devils got money. But what happens when the gods got money again? We get to fund our mind and fund the culture the way we want to see things.

6ix9ine Backs A New Mission – Saving The Earth

After being exiled from the streets, it seems that rapper 6ix9ine has started kicking it with people outside of entertainment, in an area that some believe will save the world.

Social media has long witnessed him giving out money to those in need throughout his travels, but now he is not tossing hundreds of dollars to the poor. He has placed his stamp on a guy who made millions bringing awareness to an environmental issue.

The “Gummo” rapper has connected with clean energy advocate Anthony Malascalza and called him the hottest brand in America.

Malascalza captured the shout-out and put it up on his Instagram, calling the rainbow-haired rapper “the goat” using an emoji.

Both of the men grew up poor and have achieved massive wealth, according to the Miami Herald, and now have an opportunity to give back.

Malascalza is in the business of marketing and selling clean energy door-to-door, boasting a company that was able to pull in $10 million in sales in one year.

He also has a 15-man staff and hired 100 contractors to help with the work. One reason he was able to succeed in the space is because he took a chance on himself.

“I felt like I gained enough experience, wisdom, and money to take on the energy deregulation industry on my own,” said Malascalza. “Even if it meant I had to rely on myself for everything, I did it. I purchased my office space, worked more hours than ever, and started building my brand.”

On the social media post, gave his new friend a boost, saying to fans, “So, make sure you check them out.”

The Real Rumored Reason LL Cool J Has Not Been Invited To The Roc Nation Brunch

There have been recent reports about LL Cool J not being invited to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Brunch. First of all, most of us are not invited and also most of us are not a peerless legend in Hip-Hop like LL Cool J. LL recently speculated that he believes he has not been invited because he once laughed at Jay-Z when he was a teenage rapper. There’s only a couple years between these guys age-wise. I suppose a teen LL could have fronted on Jay or something. But I am not so sure that is the issue.

Here’s the video of LL talking.

LL joked, “I love everybody. I don’t have no problems with none of these guys, man. If I laughed, okay, so what? Laugh at me. How many people have you laughed at or snapped on in the lunch room? Come on, B. Give your man a pass on that nonsense, man. This is ridiculous. I don’t even remember it. I laughed at you so now I can’t have no brunch? I can’t have no finger food?”

Sounds like LL really does want to go to the Roc Nation brunch. I think there’s more to it.

LL Cool J and Jay-Z had a seemingly cool relationship, but it hit a rough patch in 2006. LL eventually left the label he helped build, Def Jam. At the time, Jay was the president of the iconic recording house, but The Legend In Leather felt unappreciated and taken for granted. When Jay-Z became el presidente, he seemed to favor the younger acts more than the King. In a 2007 interview on VH1’s Behind the Music, LL expressed his frustration, saying, “That hurt. That was painful, and that created a lot of bruised blood in my spirit.”

Jay-Z stepped down in 2006, but it seemed like the damage was done. The word is 50 Cent had to mediate peace between LL and Jay. That’s weird. I wonder if that is true? I remember when they were both at an awards show and LL was giving Jay the iciest grill I had ever seen. Then everything was cool! I am not sure if LL was purposefully overlooked or he simply is one of the stars that simply has not been invited to the biggest brunch in urban America.

LL has so much going on, tours, Rock The Bells and more. Jay and he are doing the dang thing. Salute.

Roddy Ricch Is A Bad Dad Who Is Addicted To Lean Says Baby’s Mom

Amidst a nasty child custody trial, rapper Roddy Ricch has been accused of drug abuse— an accusation that could cause a potential block in the case and persuade the court to side with his children’s mother.

The “Ballin” chart-topper, whose real name is Rodrick Wayne Moore Jr., has a three-year-old child with Alexandra Kiser, however, their happy family is experiencing turbulent times, according to Radar Online.

She alleges, not only does she want full custody, but is seeking $20,000 a month in child support for the toddler’s care.

Kiser’s attorney says he can afford it because he is so rich.

“(He) is a very successful and highly paid entertainer who goes by the name of Roddy Ricch. He has a net worth of approximately $25,000,000. He commands fees of $500,000 for appearances,” the court documents filed on her behalf read.

She claimed in court that she believes he made $10 million in 2022.

The child’s mother says the rapper chooses his career over their child, missing milestone moments.

Her complaint states her baby daddy “lives his life without any regard to his parental obligation or responsibility to spend time” with their child.

“Rodrick misses important holidays with him, including this past holiday season,” she told the court. “I was hurt to find out on Christmas Eve when he came back from his trip that he hadn’t gotten or planned anything for our son for Christmas.”

While she says the rap star doesn’t spend time with his child anyway, she also says he is a drug addict, addicted to a sedative called Promethazine.

She is also hoping a judge blocks him from evicting her and the child from the home he pays for and stopping payments on the car to get her and the child around.

“He also leased the car for me in June of 2020 as a birthday gift and now wants me to pay for that as well. Rodrick opened a bank account for me last year with his bank so that he could send support to me more easily but money has never been deposited into that account,” she claimed.

Roddy Ricch has not commented on the custody trial.

He did tweet, “Allow nothing to disturb your peace,” which could be a subliminal shot at Kiser.

This story is developing.
