Fans Believe A$AP Rocky Threw Shade At Travis Scott Over Rihanna During Rolling Loud Miami

Rolling Loud Miami organizers tapped A$AP Rocky and Travis Scott as headliners for the 2023 edition—but the two rap stars have more in common.

Scott dated Barbadian megastar Rihanna around 2015. Rihanna is currently pregnant with her second child by A$AP Rocky. The celebrity couple have been dating for more than two years.

A$AP Rocky and Travis Scott have other connections as well. Scott cursed out a bystander in 2015 after the person confused him for Rocky. Allegations of swagger jacking are part of their shared history as well.

“It’s times when I feel like I’ve pioneered a lot of s### but don’t get acknowledgment from certain people or artists,” Rocky answered in 2018 when asked about Scott allegedly stealing his style. “I think a lot of people see it too.”

The following year, A$AP Rocky declared any beef he may have had with Travis Scott was “played out” and told fans to “let it go.”

Then in a 2022 interview with Drink Champs, Rocky acknowledged his belief that he inspired Scott.

The potential bad blood between A$AP Rocky and Travis Scott could be on the rise. Rocky’s set at Rolling Loud Miami on Sunday (July 23) left listeners questioning if he took a subtle shot at Scott.

“First you stole my flow, so I stole your b####,” A$AP Rocky rapped onstage. Those lyrics spread across the internet, and social media users began debating whether they were intended for the “Sicko Mode” rapper.

Travis Scott headlined Night 2 of the 2023 Rolling Loud Miami festival on Saturday (July 22). The father of Kylie Jenner’s two children is expected to drop his fourth studio album, Utopia, on Friday (July 28).

Azealia Banks Bombs On Nicki Minaj In Explosive Instagram Rant

Azealia Banks unleashed on Nicki Minaj in a scathing Instagram rant, claiming she needs to divorce her husband and overhaul her image with a stint in rehab.

The outspoken rapper took to her Instagram Stories Sunday night (July 23), claiming Minaj is being “used as a marketing pawn” and forced to collaborate with rising female artists because she has been blacklisted over her husband Kenneth Petty’s past.

Nicki Minaj shares a son with Petty, who was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in 1995 and sentenced to more than four years in prison.

Azealia Banks began her series of lengthy posts by claiming Nicki Minaj’s appearance on the Barbie soundtrack “should have been the return of the queen of f###### bubblegum pop.”

She said it was Minaj’s “moment” to shine but alleged the Ice Spice collab was “forced” upon her. According to Banks, Nicki Minaj will “continuously be forced to acknowledge new rap girls and be used as a marketing pawn until she [separates] fully from any and all associations/relations with sex offenders.”

Banks also declared, “Ice spice highkey ate you in your own space” and said Spice’s original “Princess Diana” song is “better” than the remix featuring Nicki Minaj.

“Desperation and defeat is not a good look on you,” she continued. “Please realize that the game being played against you is bigger than whatever flavor of the moment Girl hits the scene. Please stop trying to out hoodrat these new girls and get back to boxing these white pop stars out.”

Azealia Banks Claims Nicki Minaj “Lost” To Cardi B

Azealia Banks also weighed in on the beef between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, claiming Minaj “lost” after “you cried on Zane Lowe because Cardi didn’t wanna be friends with you.”

She also insisted Card B is “beating” Nicki Minaj “because she’s “FUN and FUNNY.” She also urged the “Pound Town 2” hitmaker to become more relatable.

“We won’t care for the queen of rap s### ur trying to push until you tell us what’s really on your heart. Music listeners aren’t stupid,” she added.

Additionally, Banks addressed Minaj’s upcoming album claiming the project “will really determine whether or not you win the war.” She recommends Minaj “shake all the ghetto hoodrat aesthetics off” so she can “REALLY EAT THIS POP S### THE F### UP.”

She urged Nicki Minaj to divorce “that man,” claiming Petty was sent “to MAKE SURE YOU DESTROY YOURSELF.”

Drake Calls Out Elliott Wilson Over Comments About Interviewing With “Outsiders”

Does Drake sit down with enough rap-focused outlets? Music media personality Elliott Wilson recently called out the Honestly, Nevermind artist for his lack of interviews with people from the culture.

Drake rarely does media appearances at this stage in his career. However, the OVO Sound founder did have a videotaped “Moody Conversation” with his “Oprah’s Bank Account” collaborator Lil Yachty in February.

“Moment of clarity: No disrespect to Lil Boat. Yachty’s convo with The Boy was comfy and had some cool moments,” Elliott Wilson wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

Wilson continued, “I was more so clowning the comedy shenanigans with outsiders to our culture. It would be great to hear Drake speak to us again. Even if it ain’t me.”

Wilson’s complaint likely stemmed from Drake’s interview with social media personality Bobbi Althoff. The Really Good Podcast host got to speak to the global superstar for nearly an hour while lying in bed.

Drake has now responded to Elliott Wilson’s comments. Akademiks, someone who also criticized A-list rappers for not speaking with rap media, posted a clip of Wilson talking to Trippie Redd at Rolling Loud Miami.

“Lol man s#### on not coming to his platform for a second time and now Elliott 10 toes doing Yes Julz run up interviews at Rolling Loud just admit the youth took over, big dog,” Drake posted in the comment section.

In response, Wilson reposted Drake’s Instagram clap back on his own Twitter page early Monday morning (July 24). A photo for the screenshot read, “Oh, it’s go time? Cool.”

Wilson had the opportunity to interview Drake for a Rap Radar podcast episode released in December 2019. For more than two hours, Drake discussed topics such as ghostwriting, Meek Mill, Pusha T, Jay-Z, and more.

Snoop Dogg Credits Martha Stewart For Taking His Career “To Another Level” Amid Ice Cream Launch

Snoop Dogg has been steadily building a diverse empire outside of music, something he credits to his mentors, Master P and Martha Stewart.

After launching a breakfast foods line with the No Limit Records founder and a cookbook with E-40, Snoop is taking on the ice cream market with the launch of his hybrid flavored frozen treats. Snoop recently announced the Dr. Bombay collaboration, which includes his Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT avatar.

Snoop Dogg came up with the idea after growing tired of “mixing and matching” ice cream flavors to create the perfect combination. The Cannabis connoisseur admitted the idea was “most definitely” driven by the munchies in an interview with TMZ Sunday night (July 23).

Snoop Dogg Explains Martha Stewart & Master’s P’s Influence On Him

Elsewhere during the conversation, Snoop Dogg explained how his two mentors helped shape his career outside of rap.

“I give two people credit for where I’m at right now,” Snoop Dogg said. “Master P showed me the business. But Martha Stewart showed me how to take it to another level.”

The Death Row Records honcho explained how Stewart taught him to “diversify my portfolio and vertically integrate all of my businesses.” Snoop Dogg said that while Master P “put me through college,” Martha Stewart “showed me how to excel.”

He said his former Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party co-host gave him the “hands on experience,” to do things “that were considered too big for a rapper.”

Snoop Dogg said his unlikely yet loving relationship with Martha Stewart “unites people of all walks of life” because of how they “genuinely” love and care for one another. Watch the interview below.

Monica Praised By Festival Organizers After Dealing With Alleged Attack On Female Fan

Monica has been hailed as an “extraordinary individual” by the organizers of a Detroit festival after the R&B singer jumped off stage to defend a female fan who was allegedly attacked by a man in the audience.

The “Boy Is Mine” hitmaker was performing at the Riverfront Music Festival in Detroit on Saturday (July 22) when she halted the show after spotting an altercation in the crowd.

“Don’t you hit her like that!” Monica said to the male fan before urging security to kick him out. “Listen, if y’all don’t get that n#### up outta here … Is you out your f###### mind?”

However, Monica wasn’t satisfied with how the situation was handled and took matters into her own hands. She hopped off the stage to confront the man telling him: “You don’t hit no f##### lady like that! F###-a## n####.”

Once she returned to the stage, Monica apologized to her fans, explaining she felt “triggered” by the man.

“That s### triggered me,” she told the crowd. “I seen him punch that lady in the face, I lost my f###in’ temper.” She apologized multiple times before adding. “You know how triggering that s### is? I was gonna knock his a## out with this f###in’ mic.” Monica went viral after footage of the incident surfaced, with fans reviving her “Goonica” nickname.

Despite her multiple apologies, festival organizers praised Monica for coming to the woman’s defense. Spokesperson Andrus Macdonald thanked the singer for her “courage and decisive intervention” and condemned violence “particularly against women,” per CBS.

He added, “Her actions demonstrated a commitment to the safety and respect of her fans, reinforcing our belief that she is not just an extraordinary talent, but an extraordinary individual as well.”

Ice-T Blasts “Weirdos” Touting Jamie Foxx Conspiracy Theories

Ice-T has had enough of all the bizarre Jamie Foxx conspiracy theories circulating following the actor’s undisclosed “medical emergency” earlier this year.

Foxx’s family has shared little information about his condition, leading internet sleuths to go digging. Some have suggested Foxx was left blinded and partially paralyzed after having the COVID-19 vaccination. Another theory centers around the vaccine but claims Foxx developed a blot clot that triggered a stroke.

Through it all, Jamie Foxx has kept a low profile while undergoing specialized medical treatment in Chicago. However, he recently broke his silence and addressed the rumors in a candid video posted on Instagram.

Foxx thanked his fans and his family for “protecting” him during his ordeal and explained that he didn’t want his fans to see him “with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.” He also dismissed the conspiracy theories stating that he is not blind nor suffering from paralysis.

Nonetheless, the rumors persisted, with some claiming the person in the video was not Jamie Foxx but a clone designed to fool the public.

Ice-T Addresses Jamie Foxx Conspiracy Theories

On Sunday evening (July 23), Ice-T decided enough was enough and took to Twitter to blast the rumor-mongers and conspiracy theorists.

“People would rather believe that Jamie is now a Clone or Ai, than the man was just seriously sick and damn near died,” he wrote. “Cause he doesn’t look EXACTLY the same??? YOU look different after a bad cold! Smh weirdos.”

The gangsta rap pioneer followed up with an “ICE COLD FACT,” declaring, “You have no idea how Dumb or Stupid a person is until they start Talkin.” In another tweet, Ice-T added, “People prefer a Lie or just let them make up their own stories.”

Drake Ignores Fan Tackled To Ground After Getting Too Close To Him

One Drake fan was so eager to get within touching distance of her idol that she was willing to brave the rapper’s security if it meant she could get close to him.

Footage surfaced over the weekend of Drake arriving at his New York City hotel, which was surrounded by fans on either side of the entrance. As the “Rich Flex” hitmaker’s vehicle approached, one fan broke through the barricade while trying to get Drake’s attention.

Staff immediately rushed toward the woman to prevent her from getting near Drake, tackling her to the floor. The fan continued screaming, “Aubrey!” repeatedly and got to her feet as the superstar rapper walked by—despite staff’s attempt to restrain her.

For his part, Drake barely gave the fan’s antics a second look as he walked into the hotel.

Meanwhile, another fan succeeded in getting Drake’s attention during a recent stop on his It’s All A Blur Tour. Rather than launching phones or other potentially dangerous missiles, women have been throwing their bras at Drake while he’s performing.

However, one piece of lingerie stopped Drake in his tracks as he made his way through the audience at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. He picked up the black bra and held it up to his face before checking the size.

“36G?” Drake declared before adding, “Locate this woman immediately.” The hilarious video went viral, and now the woman has been found. Check out her response below.

Page Kennedy Dives Deep Into Actor’s Strike, Depression & Perils Of Hollywood In “Giving Up”

Seasoned actor/rapper Page Kennedy has been relatively quiet over the last couple of years—at least on the rap front. After releasing Page in 2021, Kennedy focused on his acting, appearing in The Upshaws and Snowfall while shooting a summer blockbuster film that’s expected to arrive on August 4. He returned with Front Page in 2022 and, lo and behold, managed to complete another album, A Book of Pages, which is also scheduled for release on August 4 (although a version of it is currently available on Bandcamp).

Ahead of the album’s arrival, Kennedy has shared “Giving Up,” a harrowing single about some of the recent struggles he’s faced. From the Writer’s Guild of America/SAG-AFTRA strike and depression to the pressures of Hollywood and financial strife, Kennedy lays it all out on the table.

“I made this song because I was going down a dark cavern,” Kennedy tells AllHipHop. “I started having thoughts of not being here anymore. It was a cavalcade of incommodious turmoil and exigent expectations on me. I don’t drink or smoke or do drugs. My only therapy is my writing. I can listen to ‘Giving Up’ over and over again to feel better.”

Kennedy echoes Ice-T sentiments about Hollywood at one point in the song—not everybody is rich just because they’re in the entertainment industry.

“It’s smoke and mirrors, when you think, ’cause you see me on TV, that I’m gettin’ all of this dough,” he raps. “What you don’t know is I did two seasons in a row, and they don’t wanna pay me mo’/I made all this money on this movie, but I only get a third of what I gross/Taxes and ya team take the most, social media, the highlight reel/What you post only way you get clout is when you boast, let’s look close/It’s 100 and 20K a year, and that’s on bills alone/So that means it takes 10,000 bucks a month, and I don’t even own my own home.”

Like hundreds of others, Page Kennedy is feeling the impact of the strike, and his pain is palpable throughout the song. He raps: “Now there’s an actors strike, now we tossed in the gutter/What the f### you mean I cant promote my own movie I almost drowned filming/Cancelling premieres, it’s all down hill man/Spent 10K on a publicist, now what?/I can’t do The Breakfast Club with out getting ousted.”

He continues, “Been waiting for this moment since childhood and they got the power to take away my glorious hour/How often you get a blockbuster and these c###suckers who do not love us make us fight for the rights that they block from us.”

“Giving Up” will be included on A Book of Pages once it’s up on streaming services. Listen to it above.

Drake Scolds Fan For Throwing A Vape At Him Mid-Performance

Drake was mid-performance at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center on Thursday night (July 20) when he was forced to pause the show. At some point during the concert, a fan had thrown a vape pen at him, narrowly missing the OVO Sound boss. The Canadian superstar, noticeably confused, stopped what he was doing and shamed the fan for the careless act.

“Did you throw a vape up here? Come on,” Drake said. “Who threw this? Who threw the vape? There’s no way you’re taking life seriously if you think I’m gonna pick this vape up and vape with you at the f###ng Barclays Center. You got some real life evaluating to do throwing this f###ng lemon mint vape up here, thinking I’m about to vape with you at the Barclays.”

The Barclays Center later shared a clip of the incident to its Instagram account and reminded concert attendees, “You cannot vape at Barclays Center.”

Drake was hit in the arm by a cell phone on the opening night of his It’s All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage in Chicago earlier this month. It’s a disturbing trend that continues to mare the concert-going experience, especially for the artist.

In perhaps one of the most extreme examples, pop singer Bebe Rexha was actually hit in the face with a cell phone as she was performing at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City this month. The injury was so severe, Rexha was hauled off to the hospital for stitches. Nicolas Malvagna was later accused of throwing the phone. He was arrested at the venue and charged with assault for using his cell phone as a weapon.

A few days after the incident, Rexha posted an Instagram photo of her face to show fans she was OK. The caption read, “I’m good,” a nod to her latest hit.

Common Says Working On “Silo” Set Is “Depressing”

Common has admitted that working on “Silo” could sometimes be a little “depressing” at times.

The Apple TV+ sci-fi dystopian drama is set inside a giant silo that nobody can leave for unknown reasons, and filming took place on a massive set that resembled the claustrophobic underground world, complete with apartments, canteens, and offices.

Common admitted to WWD that shooting the show in London “had a little bit of a depressing energy sometimes” because he would arrive at work while it was still dark outside, and it would be nighttime again when he left.

In the series, an adaptation of the “Wool” novels by Hugh Howey, the musician/actor plays the head of security Robert Sims, whose role was expanded for the screen.

“I did a lot of preparation that took me going into my process of being creative and coming up with storylines, but also finding out things from the writers. It’s really one of the most invigorating and creative roles I’ve had,” he shared.

“It’s almost like the head of the CIA slash somebody in Congress because I’m there enforcing certain laws and helping. I didn’t write any of the laws, but I’m enforcing these things and making sure this is done right.”

Common, real name Lonnie Lynn, added that he knew he was reading the script for a hit TV show within the first five or six pages.

The first season of “Silo,” also starring Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Robbins, concluded in late June, around the same time filming began for the second series.

Ice Cube Says “No Vaseline” Is Better Than 2Pac’s “Hit ‘Em Up” & Nas’ “Ether”

Ice Cube made a strong argument for his infamous N.W.A diss track, “No Vaseline,” in a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid. The song, which arrived on Cube’s 1991 solo album Death Certificate, begins with Cube spitting, “G###### I’m glad y’all set it off/Used to be hard now you’re just wet and soft/First you was down with the AK/And now I see you on a video with Michel’le?/Lookin’ like straight Bozos/I saw it comin’ that’s why I went solo.” And it only gets more vicious from there.

According to Ice Cube, “No Vaseline” is the best diss track off all time—and that means better than 2Pac’s “Hit ‘Em Up,” and Nas’ “Ether.” As Cube pointed out, “Come on, man. How’s 2Pac No. 1 when he needed help on that record? Me, ‘No Vaseline,’ one MC. I love Nas, but it’s not. One motherf###er, me, took out four n####s and a manager. I mean, damn. You gotta give me credit for that. The group was over. I don’t know if they made another record after that.”

Ice Cube was a founding member of N.W.A. He—along with Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, MC Ren, Arabian Prince and Eazy-E—changed the rap landscape with 1988’s Straight Outta Compton. But internal issues between members led to a split, and Ice Cube went the solo route in 1990 with AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted.

The D.O.C. and Dr. Dre went on to form Death Row Records in 1992, while Eazy-E also went solo. In 1993, Eazy delivered a diss track of his own called “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s,” which set its sights on Dr. Dre and other members of N.W.A. Despite the rift, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre managed to patch things up with Eazy-E before his death.

While doing press for the 2015 film Straight Outta Compton, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube told The Hollywood Reporter they were close to reuniting—at least as a trio.

“I had met with [Eazy] a few months before he died, and we had talked about getting back together,” Cube said. “And at the time, our feud had died down, and him and Dre was still at odds, so I was like, ‘If you can get Dre to do it, I’m ready.’”

Dr. Dre added, “We would probably be working together right now. [We would probably be] arguing about the work, as we did back in the past. It’s like, every project, we had some little argument about what the project should be creatively, and I would say we would probably still be doing that, but at the same time getting the work done and probably doing something amazing.”

Hit-Boy Roasts “Failed Journalist” Who Criticized Nas’ Latest Beat Selections

Hit-Boy promptly checked a purported “hater” who dared to criticize Nas’ recent beat selections. On Friday (July 21), someone who clearly pressed play on Magic 2 hours after it was released tweeted, “Only Nas — who hasn’t picked an album’s worth of great beats since ‘94 — would make five albums full of loading screen beats from one of this era’s least inspired producers.”

Former Tommy Boy Records A&R, Dante Ross, replied, “Where did you get your Hater diploma from,” a sentiment that echoed across the post. Hit-Boy wasn’t having it either and hopped in the comment section with, “Coming from a failed journalist and failed musician. tough.”

Reactions to Hit-Boy’s remarks included, “U didn’t have to cook him that hard” and “Gat damn HB, didn’t have to kill him. Black Magic beat is very good btw.” One person asked, “What Wal-Mart are you tweeting this on yo lunch break from?” while another said, “Caucasian people shouldn’t speak on a culture they are a guest in.”

In all fairness, Nas’ beat selections have been criticized for years. But Nas and Hit-Boy’s 2020 collaboration, King’s Disease, earned them a Grammy Award in the Best Rap Album category, which seems to negate a lot of the critiques. As for Hit-Boy, the veteran producer has a list of credits that include Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, Lil Wayne and Eminem. Needless to say, he’s found enormous success being “one of this era’s least inspired producers.”

But, as they say, haters are gonna hate. Check out some of the responses below.

Kim Kardashian At Peace With “Sad Divorce” From Kanye

Kim Kardashian has admitted she “jumped into” a relationship with Pete Davidson too soon after her split from husband Kanye West.

The reality TV star filed for divorce from the Stronger rapper, the father of her four children, after almost seven years of marriage in February 2021 and started dating the Saturday Night Live comedian later that year.

During Thursday’s episode of “The Kardashians,” Kim reflected on her relationship with Pete, which ended in August 2022, in a conversation with her sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

“I definitely jumped into another relationship (with Pete Davidson) so fast,” she admitted. “It got my mind away from stuff, but that’s not a way to run from things. It’s better to deal. Heal… Deal, heal and then feel.”

Elsewhere in the episode, the 42-year-old went through a storage unit on the same day her divorce from Kanye was finalized in November 2022.

Considering the end of her marriage, she said in a confessional, “I’m really at peace with it. There’s so many amazing things that came out of my marriage and my divorce.

“I would never take back any of the hard things that happened or any of the hard times. I love my life. It’s time to do something different. But the memories… it’s sad.”

While sorting through pieces from Kanye’s Yeezy clothing line, the SKIMS founder called the storage unit her “time capsule of like the best times” in their marriage.

“The reality is life is really different, and when you know it can never get back there – that’s what sucks, and that’s what’s hard,” she added. “But my kids will have the best memories and this will be the best tribute for them.”

Nas Reveals He “Caught The Holy Spirit” Working On “Magic 2” Album

Nas released his latest album, Magic 2, on Friday (July 21)—nearly 30 years after delivering his seminal debut. Produced by Hit-Boy, the project offers 11 new tracks featuring just two guests, 50 Cent and 21 Savage. So far, Hip-Hop fans appear wildly impressed by Nas’ rhyming skills on Magic 2—as if they are surprised he remembers how to rap. There’s almost an expectation for MCs in their 40s, 50s and 60s to “fall off,” but Nas has remained consistent, especially over the last five years.

On Saturday (July 22), Nas shared in the celebration with a tweet that read, “I’m happy to be around making new music because I love it. Having the best year of my life. I caught the Holy Spirit and I’m grateful to be giving it to the world. Magic 2.”

Nas and Hit-Boy’s chemistry earned the Queensbridge native his first Grammy Award for 2020’s King’s Disease, beating out Jay Electronica’s A Written Testimony, Freddie Gibbs and Alchemist’s Alfredo, D Smoke’s Black Habits and Royce Da 5’9’s The Allegory.

King’s Disease served as the follow-up to 2018’s NASIR and marked his 13th studio album. Appearances included Charlie Wilson, Big Sean, Don Toliver, Lil Durk, Anderson .Paak, Brucie B, Nas’s supergroup The Firm, Fivio Foreign and A$AP Ferg. The project debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 with roughly 47,000 total album-equivalent units sold in its first week.

Nas released King’s Disease 2 the following year, Magic in 2021 and King’s Disease III in 2022. With Magic 2, Nas now has 16 studio albums in his discography.

He’ll perform at the Blue Note Jazz Festival in Napa, California on July 28 before heading out on tour in September. Stops include Nashville on September 20, Brooklyn on September 27 and Chicago on October 8. Find all dates here and check out Magic 2 below.

LL COOL J Tells Miranda Lambert To “Get Over It” Following Concert Selfie Controversy

LL COOL J had a few words of advice for country singer Miranda Lambert, who recently shamed several women for taking a selfie during her concert. In a recent interview with Audacy’s Mix 94.1 “Mercedes in the Morning,” the Def Jam legend was asked about Lambert’s behavior and began to laugh hysterically.

“Miranda, get over it, baby…,” he said. “They’re fans… Your job as an artist is to create art. The way people choose to interact with that art, or engage it, or appreciate it, is up to them. If you want to come to my show, and you want to sit there and eat a bowl of potato salad — that’s what you choose to do. You gotta let the fans do what they wanna do… I have nothing unkind to say about her, I wish her the best. She has the right to her feelings, but for me, I let the fans be fans and do what they want to do.”

Lambert was performing her 2018 song “Tin Man” during her Velvet Rodeo Las Vegas residency, when she suddenly stopped singing to call out the women snapping pictures in front of the stage. She said, “These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s pissing me off a bit. Sorry, I don’t like it. At all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight.”

One of the women in the group, Adela Calin, later spoke to NBC News and pointed out the picture took less than 30 seconds. She continued, “It felt like I was back at school with the teacher scolding me for doing something wrong and telling me to sit down back in my place. I feel like she was determined to make us look like we were young, immature and vain. But we were just grown women in our 30s to 60s trying to take a picture.”

LL COOL J is currently in the midst of The F.O.R.C.E. Live Tour. Tickets for the trek—his first in 30 years—are available here. As for the interview, listen to the full conversation on the Audacy website.

Keke Palmer Doesn’t Understand Why People Want To Be Famous

Keke Palmer has admitted that she initially found child stardom to be “traumatic.”

During an interview with The Cut, the 29-year-old opened up about what it was like to be a child star.

“Honestly speaking, initially it was traumatic when I really experienced it, like after I did ‘True Jackson, VP’,” the actress said, referring to the Nickelodeon sitcom. “And then I got used to it and I tried to kind of control it a little bit more by setting boundaries for myself and being a little bit more realistic about what I needed from the people that would be around me.”

The actress noted that fame has its perks and can be “fun and cool in certain times” but the attention can be a lot to handle.

“I don’t know why anybody wants it. It’s a lot to have a lot of attention on you all the time. It gives you a lot of anxiety. It’s nerve-racking,” Keke shared.

“Not everybody can handle it. It’s just a dangerous game.”

Keke made her acting debut in 2004 when she featured in “Barbershop 2: Back in Business” and gained widespread notice for her lead role in the 2006 film “Akeelah and the Bee.”

“True Jackson, VP,” in which she played the titular role, ran from 2008 to 2011.

Drake Won’t Get Married Because He’s Not “Amish”

Drake explained why he is reluctant to get married.

During an appearance on “The Really Good Podcast with Bobbi Althoff,” the rapper explained that he isn’t in a hurry to walk down the aisle because he can’t offer a partner consistency due to his lifestyle

“I don’t know. It seems like a thing of, like, ancient times or something,” Drake said when asked why he’s never been married.

“I think I will eventually… I don’t know, I don’t think I can offer somebody what they’d be looking for. Just consistency. I think my life, my work is my priority.”

The 36-year-old pushed back against Bobbi’s joke that he just wanted to “sleep around” and insisted his decision was down to consistency and not being able to adequately “contribute” to a relationship.

https://open.spotify.com/episode/0jDV8tVFj4X27UQMfYSRuU?si=dc89385551d04642

“I don’t wanna get married ’cause like, I just don’t wanna disappoint someone, and I’m not like, Amish,” he added.

Elsewhere in the conversation, the “God’s Plan” hitmaker told Bobbi that his ideal partner would have a good sense of humor, be into cosplay, and be “an individual.”

“I like somebody that’s, like, their own,” he elaborated. “They’re not just not like a carbon copy, like a person that I’ve seen a bunch of times throughout my existence. I like somebody with like a sense of humor, you know?”

Drake also noted that he probably wouldn’t settle down with another celebrity, adding, “Famous people really aren’t that… aren’t that anything. They’re not that intriguing.”

Paul Pierce “Clears The Air” With Cam’ron & Mase About the Infamous “Poop” Rumor

In a recent episode of Cam’ron and Mase’s hit sports talk show, “It Is What It Is,” NBA legend Paul Pierce addressed the infamous “Wheelchair Game” incident from the 2008 NBA Finals.

The incident, which has been the subject of speculation and rumors for years, involved Pierce being wheeled off the court during Game 1 of the finals due to an apparent injury.

Pierce sparked nasty rumors after alluding that he pooped in his pants during a “sit down” with ESPN. There has been speculation ever since.

Pierce, however, revealed on the show there was no bathroom emergency.

“First of all, I didn’t s### in the finals,” he said, “and I’m tired of this narrative talking about I s### in the finals, and I got a wheelchair ’cause I s###.”

The revelation on “It Is What It Is” debunked long-standing rumors that Pierce’s sudden exit had more to do with a bathroom incident than an injury.

Despite Pierce’s attempt to clarify the situation, the controversy surrounding the “Wheelchair Game” intrigues fans and analysts alike.

As the debate rages on, one thing is clear: the truth about The Truth’s infamous exit may never be fully known.

Beanie Sigel Turns to AI To Record Next Project As “The Old Beans”

In a recent appearance on the DJUTV podcast, Beanie Sigel, the renowned Philadelphia-based rapper, revealed his plans to utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) in an ambitious endeavor to regain the gruff vocal tone he lost in a traumatic shooting incident back in 2014. The rapper shared his insights during the podcast on Tuesday, July 18, where he also announced the upcoming release of a new project, which AI technology will play a crucial role in completing.

In April earlier this year, Beanie Sigel opened up about the 2014 shooting, which not only put his life in jeopardy but also left a lasting impact on his voice. Although initially believed to be a deliberate hit on the rapper, he admitted he was in the “wrong place, [at the] wrong time” situation. During the podcast, Beanie recounted the terrifying experience, stating, “I got shot in my back, twice. The bullets came out through my stomach.”

The shooting incident put Beanie Sigel into a coma, and his journey to recovery was far from easy. After awakening from the coma, he faced the challenge of having a breathing tube inserted down his throat. In a disoriented state, Beanie removed the tube, causing damage to his throat and compromising the healing process. As a result, the rapper’s vocal tone was forever altered, leading him to explore emerging AI technology.

Embracing the controversial yet promising world of AI, Beanie Sigel has chosen to use this cutting-edge technology to reclaim his distinctive vocal quality. Despite recent criticisms of AI from artists like Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and will.i.am, Beanie is convinced that AI holds the key to revitalizing his artistic identity. “I’ve got a new project coming soon,” Beanie enthusiastically revealed during the podcast, “And I think I found a good friend with this AI thing. Yeah. A lot of people frown on AI, but I think that’s gonna work for me.”

“It’s definitely for me. Y’all want, what they say, the ‘old Beans’ back? ‘Cause the pen’s still there,” he said Beanie Sigel remains confident that it will prove beneficial in his journey to reestablish his unique sound.

As Beanie Sigel ventures into uncharted territory, using AI to recover what he lost, music enthusiasts eagerly await the release of his new project, hoping to witness the resurgence of the iconic vocal tone that made Beanie a celebrated figure in the Hip-Hop community.

YNW Melly’s Manager Calls Double Murder Mistrial “A Second Chance”

YNW Melly has been behind bars since February 2019, when he was arrested for the 2018 murders of YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy. On Saturday (July 22), the case was declared a mistrial after the Broward County jury selected to determine a verdict failed to make an unanimous decision. Shortly after the judge handed down his decision, Law & Crime caught up with the rapper’s manager, 100K Track, who’s convinced YNW Melly will be coming home soon.

“I’m happy with it,” he said of the mistrial. “It’s not the verdict we would want of course, but it’s a second chance, and I take that literal for everything. It’s a second chance at life, a second chance at a better defense, so I’m excited. I really feel like Melly’s coming home. I’ve felt like that, but this just confirmed it.”

100K Track was asked if he’d heard from Melly, to which he said, “They took his phone privileges a long time ago before we even got to this case, but I’m pretty sure he’s patient. He’s getting into his music and writing more ’cause he knows he’s coming home. If it’s not today or tomorrow, it’s definitely going to be soon, real soon.”

YNW Melly’s trial has been ongoing for 19 days. Prosecutors and YNW Melly’s defense team made their closing arguments on Thursday (July 20), but deliberations dragged on until Friday (July 21), forcing jurors to work well into the weekend. Finally, Judge John Murphy delivered his decision on Saturday (July 22).

“At this time, I am going to declare a mistrial,” Judge Murphy said in a clip. “We want to reiterate how much we appreciate the fact that you were here and you willingly served. Our system doesn’t work without getting people from the community to come here and listen to the facts of the case and make decisions. These types of decisions, they’re hard decisions…you did your best effort to bring the case to a resolution. Unfortunately, it wasn’t able to happen.”
