Jemele Hill Takes Issue With Bobbi Althoff Interviewing Offset

Social media personality Bobbi Althoff sat down with Hip-Hop artist Offset. A clip from the upcoming The Really Good Podcast episode spread across the internet this week.

“I honestly don’t know how this came about, I’m not gonna lie to you,” Bobbi Althoff told Offset. “My team could have reached out to yours. I don’t want to make you look bad.”

The Georgia-raised rapper eventually fired back, “I had to go on TikTok, I couldn’t even Google you. I had to TikTok search. I couldn’t Google you. Google’s not there yet. You’re not there yet. But you’ll be there.”

Some social media users expressed frustration with Bobbi Althoff getting the opportunity to interview several rap stars. Previously, the TikTok content creator spoke with Drake, Lil Yachty, Tyga, and Armani White.

Drake faced criticism for going on Bobbi Althoff’s show and not a more Hip-Hop-focused outlet. That über-viral The Really Good Podcast interview with Drake has been pulled from the internet for unknown reasons.

Sports journalist Jemele Hill is also among the people who take issue with Althoff interviewing prominent Hip-Hop figures like Offset. Earlier this week, the former ESPN contributor voiced her concerns on the X platform.

“I don’t find these types of interviews particularly enjoyable or interesting. Instead it just sadly points out how real Hip-Hop journalism has been practically erased,” posted Jemele Hill.

She continued, “Some of the media teams behind these artists aren’t interested in them sitting down with credible people who know how to tell stories and do quality interviews. Then they wonder why an artist’s real story goes untold, neglected or that artist is misunderstood.”

50 Cent Dislocated Co-Star’s Finger In Stunt Gone Wrong On “The Expendables 4” Set

50 Cent is so “powerful and strong” that a co-star ended up with a disclosed finger after one of Fiddy’s stunts went awry during filming for The Expendables 4

The movie’s stunt coordinator, Alan Ng, opened up about the multihyphenate rapper, actor and TV executive during a recent interview, revealing that Fiddy was a natural.

“50 Cent is very powerful and strong so that made it very easy to work with him,’ Ng told Pop Culture.

The experienced director and stunt coordinator explained how he played to the G-unit founder’s strengths to prepare him for his role in the action movie, which features some of the genre’s mainstays, including Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture.

Ng recalled filming a stunt with 50 Cent, which resulted in an injured castmate.

“50 Cent is very powerful and strong, so he like a tank,” NG shared. “He was actually so strong that in one of the scenes, he was supposed to barge into a stunt performer and his strength resulted in the guy going flying and dislocated his finger.”

Thankfully, 50 Cent didn’t do too much damage. “The guy and his finger are ok now of course,” NG said.

The Hip-Hop mogul proved he can troll himself, sharing the movie poster earlier this year.

“WTF did we run out of money? Why my head look like it ain’t connected to my body,” he penned alongside the image back in March. “I bet they are gonna make [Sylvester Stallone] look great. SMH.”

Chrisean Rock Says She’s Pressing Charges On Blueface After He Shared Photo Of Son’s Genitals

Chrisean Rock is threatening to take legal action and press charges against Blueface after he posted a photo of their newborn son’s genitals on social media.

The “Thotiana” hitmaker shared the image on social media earlier this week after accusing the reality TV starlet of missing appointments for their baby’s hernia surgery.

On Tuesday (September 26), Chrisean Rock addressed the incident during an Instagram Live and revealed she plans to press charges.

“Y’all right. This is what I get,” Rock stated. “Because I gave a n###a the benefit of the doubt to be a dad, to also just expose his son for pleasure. What do you think people gon’ do with that picture?…It’s our son, but you treating it like it’s my son. If it was your son, I wouldn’t think you would post your son penis like that. Then you think it ain’t gon’ get serious. Bro, you’re going to go to jail.”

She continued: “And I’m pressing charges. Yea, I’m doing all that, bro. I don’t need no money, no child support, but I’m pressing charges. You wanna play this police game, OK.”

Although Blueface initially said he shared the image and exposed his son’s medical issue to trigger Chrisean Rock into taking action, Blueface changed his tune the following day amid social media backlash. He deleted many of his posts and claimed somebody hacked his account.

“My phone was stolen yesterday I just got a new one guys,” he claimed on Tuesday. “Im back my twitter was hacked.”

Drake brought out Bow Wow for the second night of his It’s All A Blur tour stops in Atlanta on Tuesday night (September 26). Bow Wow joined forces with the OVO founder at the State Farm Arena much to the crowd’s surprise.

Drake Credits Bow Wow With Paving The Way

Drake has frequently shown love to Bow Wow for paving the way. “When you were younger, you wanted to be as big as Bow Wow was,” he told Nardwuar in 2016. “All the girls wanted Bow Wow.”

The “Rich Flex” hitmaker also paid tribute to Bow Wow when celebrating a historic Billboard Hot 100 treble back in 2021. He took to Instagram with a video of him and the Fast and the Furious star toasting his win.

“I didn’t know how else to bring in 1, 2, 3. I had to link with Wizzle,” he said. “Everybody wants to have drinks and everybody wants to celebrate and turn up, I just had to see Wizzle. I had to see Wizzle in person.”

Drake credited Bow Wow for opening doors for him while quoting lyrics from his 2001 hit “Thank You.” “If it wasn’t for you, there wouldn’t be no me,” Drake declared. “That’s why I’ma rock with y’all forever more. I appreciate y’all.”

A day before walking out with Drake, Bow Wow took to Instagram to call out an unnamed detractor he claimed has always been jealous of him.

“Ayo bro u a clown!” he penned on Monday (September 25). “Don’t come to my city and DM my DJ asking him what’s crackn in the city! You hit me! Now I know where we stand. You always been jealous of me.”

Chloe Bailey Reveals Her Celebrity Crush & Why She Refuses To Shoot Her Shot

Chloe Bailey has revealed her celebrity crush but refuses to shoot her shot in case she blocks her blessings.

The R&B songstress opened up about a man she’s had her eye on for “years,” during an upcoming interview on Apple Music’s “The Dotty Show.”

“I’ll say it. Michael B. Jordan,” Chloe admitted in a snippet shared earlier this week. “That’s my celebrity crush. I’ve been said that in interviews even like years ago.” However, when asked if she’s told the Creed star how she feels, Chloe confirmed that she has no intention of doing so.

“No. I don’t shoot my shot,” she added. When quizzed over her decision, Chloe Bailey said she was worried she might block her blessings and refused to reach out to him.

“God will bring my blessings to me when they’re supposed to be here. When we try to force it, we could block other blessings.”

As for what it is about Michael B. Jordan she likes so much, Chloe didn’t say but instead began blushing and exploded in a fit of giggles. “That’s crazy,” the host declared. Check out the clip below.

In an interesting twist, Bailey made headlines for her steamy sex scene in Amazon Prime Video’s series Swarm earlier this year with Harvey’s current boyfriend, Damson Idris.

Nick Cannon Credits Mariah Carey With Saving His Life

Nick Cannon believes he wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for Mariah Carey.

The Masked Singer host credits his ex-wife with saving his life after he received his “life-changing” Lupus diagnosis.

During a recent appearance on the Diary of a CEO podcast, he recalled how Carey raised the alarm after he passed out one day after returning home for a jog and how “perfect” she was during his time in hospital.

“Mariah came in and found me,” Nick Cannon explained. “And they rushed me to the ER in Aspen.” Medics initially believed he could have been suffering from altitude sickness and later considered a kidney stone might be the cause. However, they diagnosed him with Lupus once they realized his immune system was attacking his kidneys.

“I had caught it early enough to where my kidneys didn’t completely fail,” Cannon shared. “Then they found out the reason why is that my immune system was attacking my kidneys.”

The father of 12, who shares twins Moroccan and Monroe with Mariah Carey, paid tribute to the superstar songstress for saving his life.

Nick Cannon Says Mariah Carey Was His Rock

“[Mariah] was my rock man,” Cannon continued. “She went hard. I’ll be honest, probably wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for how hard she went with the doctors with me, my stubbornness. She was the perfect helpmate, the perfect matriarch, the perfect mom, the perfect wife in those scenarios.”

However, he believes that while the situation brought them closer, it also strained their relationship.

“Because granted, she’s who she is in dealing with all the pressures of being Mariah Carey, but then being loving enough to take on all of my stuff,” he added. “And it probably took a toll on us just because of the person I was in my head and the struggles that I was dealing with. So it probably took a toll on our relationship, but it definitely brought us closer together.”

J. Cole Reveals Colin Kaepernick’s Request To Join New York Jets Practice Squad

J. Cole received permission to share a letter written by former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who asked the New York Jets for an opportunity to join the team’s practice squad. Kaepernick reached out to the Jets after star quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury.

“I asked Colin @kaepernick7 if I could share this letter with the world,” J. Cole wrote on Instagram. “He was reluctant. My argument was that I believe the people and all organizations should know the truth about how hard he works and how much he still wants to play. And always has. In the end, he agreed to let me.”

J. Cole added, “I wish the @nyjets organization luck. My boy @bas is a big ass fan so I saw the heartbreak of every Jets fan when Arod went down @richeisen Everyone from players, to coaches, to execs are feeling the pressure I’m sure. I hope y’all can turn it around, and I hope there’s a spot out there for my boy Kap. PEACE.”

Kaepernick pitched himself to the Jets as a “risk-free contingency plan” at quarterback. Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since 2016. He was seemingly blackballed for protesting racial injustice by kneeling during the playing of the national anthem at NFL games.

J. Cole has been an avid supporter of Kaepernick since the kneeling protest. J. Cole wore a Kaepernick jersey for a 2016 performance after the former San Francisco 49ers player faced backlash for the protest.

Ice Cube Announces New Solo Album Called “Man Down”

Ice Cube has announced a new solo album called Man Down. Speaking to Chuck D’s RAPstation, the rap juggernaut revealed he’s only two weeks away from finishing the project. It would mark his first full-length solo release since 2018’s Everythang’s Corrupt. As he explained, “I’m working on an album that hopefully I can finish in next couple of weeks and schedule to put it out and yeah, I’m digging what I’m doing. The name of the record is called Man Down and, you know, it’s a pretty good record. It like it. It’s dope.”

Cube is getting ready to perform with Ja Rule and Ashanti in his hometown of Los Angeles on Friday (September 29) as part of KDAY’s 40th anniversary celebration. Cube tweeted about it on Monday night (September 25), writing, “Ya homeboy is coming home in only 4 days. Roll through and rock with me, Ja Rule and Ashanti.” He also included a link to further tour dates, which includes a show with Tha Dogg Pound, DJ Quik, Suga Free, Rodney O and Joe Cooley the following day in Stockton.

In addition to albums with N.W.A, Ice Cube has released 10 solo efforts throughout the course of his career, including 1990’s Amerikkka’s Most Wanted and 1992’s The Predator. Even with all of his success, he remains down-to-earth and grateful for a career that’s given him so much.

“It’s a blessing, really,” he said. “For one, I made a promise to myself when I got in this business that I wouldn’t let it change who I am as a person, so I was always willing to let the chips fall where they may and and not worry about ‘I can’t do this or my career will be over’ or ‘if I do this, will this happen?’ When you broke when you’re starting off, going back to being broke is not an issue. That’s not motivation, like ‘I’m going to be broke again, let me bow down to this b#######.’ No.”

Ice Cube, Too $hort, Snoop Dogg and E-40, collectively known as Mount Westmore, released their debut album, Snoop Cube 40 $hort, last December. Originally titled Bad MFs, the project produced singles like “Big Subwoofer” and “Too Big” featuring P-Lo. It peaked at No. 188 on the Billboard 200—not that they care about chart positions at this point in the careers. The project was born out of the COVID-19 pandemic and is clearly a passion project by four certified OGs with nothing to prove.

Kanye West Fans Think A Super Bowl Performance Could Be As Irresponsible As It Is Amazing

Even as Usher continues to gain popularity and mass attention ahead of his Super Bowl Halftime show performance, Kanye West is also trending because his fans are lobbying for his own performance.

Well, he’s trending due to a combination of his fans both believing he would put on an incredible show and discussing the litany of ways Kanye could also f### it all up. The fact a tweet questioning why Ye hasn’t helmed the coveted performance slot, in spite of JAY-Z’s Roc Nation imprint handling the production of the show, has more than 16 million likes just goes to show the demand is there. Well, at least it is on Twitter.

In the real world, though, West’s live performance résumé of commanding major stages is 100 percent vetted and validated at this point. People talk about Burna Boy’s Afrobeat taking over during the 2023 NBA Halftime show, but Ye’s 2011 performance with Rihanna and more is the stuff the Harvard School of Business course curriculum is derivative of. Bro literally broke the fourth wall on live TV with his Grammy’s performance in 2006—which was complete with cameos from Jamie Foxx and an entire marching band.

The fact of the matter is that West is fully capable of putting on a show stopping performance, but it remains to be established whether he’s stable enough to actually do so. The innumerable mental health breakdowns, in addition to the inflammatory antisemitic remarks he made last year, have seemingly forever marred West’s creative legacy. In a sense, the only way Ye can make things right appears to be through his art—but how can he do so without being given the opportunity to produce?

Hopefully, West can get it together soon so we can all bear witness to his unchecked creativity live once again. Check out footage of Ye’s recent live experience for the DONDA 2 album below.

EXCLUSIVE: YNW Melly Says State Withheld Evidence To Sanitize Detective, Calls It “Tip Of The Iceberg”

YNW Melly asked a Florida judge to dismiss his double murder case in a motion filed on Tuesday (September 26). According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, the incarcerated rapper accused the Broward County State Attorney’s Office of prosecutorial misconduct.

Defense attorneys claimed prosecutors withheld evidence regarding Detective Mark Moretti, the lead investigator in the double murder case. Lawyers said prosecutors covered up Moretti’s alleged misconduct to protect him as a witness in YNW Melly’s first trial.

“The information provided by [Assistant State Attorney Kristine] Bradley indicates that Detective Moretti executed a search warrant outside of his jurisdiction and therefore, illegally,” YNW Melly’s lawyers argued. “It would have allowed the defense to question him as whether he committed a robbery or battery on [YNW Melly’s mother] Jamie King when he unlawfully took her phone. It would have shown that Detective Moretti was willing to lie as to who served the search warrant, an official court order, and it would have shown that Detective Moretti was willing to conspire with Deputy Gorel to obstruct justice and to create false filings. This was impeachment evidence favorable to the Defendant.”

YNW Melly, whose real name is Jamell Demons, is accused of killing his two friends in 2018. He was tried for murder this past summer, but the proceedings ended in a mistrial. Jury selection for a retrial is scheduled to begin in October.

The 24-year-old artist’s attorneys insisted prosecutors purposely withheld evidence about Moretti in the motion for dismissal. The defense believed prosecutors shelved an internal affairs investigation and a possible criminal investigation against Moretti.

“Rather than presenting this to the defense so that the defense could have used it during the first trial, the State withheld this information,” YNW Melly’s legal team contended. “In fact, it is believed the highest levels of the State Attorney’s Office made determinations to not provide it to the defense, and secondly, not to pursue the internal affairs investigation. This was the institutional policy of the State Attorney’s Office, not just one prosecutor. This evidence was suppressed by the State.”

They continued, “The unfortunate stark reality is that the State intentionally withheld this information that would impeach Detective Moretti in order to gain a tactical advantage and to violate Mr. Demons’ due process rights as guaranteed by both the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution and the parallel provisions of the Florida Constitution.”

YNW Melly’s lawyers suggested there may be more examples of prosecutorial misconduct. But attorneys thought they had enough evidence to secure their client’s release from jail.

“In essence, the State has intentionally done whatever it could to sanitize Detective Moretti’s actions so they would not be fodder for cross-examination during trial,” YNW Melly’s lawyers wrote. “Although the defense has only uncovered the tip of the iceberg in this matter, this tip is sufficient for this Court to determine the Defendant’s Due Process Rights, as guaranteed by the United States Constitution through the Fourteenth Amendment, and the parallel provisions of the Florida Constitution, that his fundamental rights have been violated and that the only remedy is dismissal and to let him free.”

YNW Melly has remained in jail since his 2019 arrest. A judge denied him bond on September 22.

Snoop Dogg Wants To Host Children’s TV Show Like Mister Rogers

Snoop Dogg has left his mark on the world of entertainment, but he still wants to expand his presence on his television. The Hip-Hop legend discussed his desire to star in a children’s TV show akin to Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood in an interview with Distractify.

“I actually really, really, really, really, really want to do a kid show,” he told Distractify. “I can see it, you know, where it’s like they come to me for advice, for information, for fun, for wisdom, for knowledge. That’s something that I haven’t done and I feel like I’m setting up with the things I do in real life. The kids are our future so you know if I do things for the kids when I’m going to lay still gonna be here pushing the line.”

Snoop Dogg is no stranger to children’s shows. He co-created Doggyland, an animated web series designed to teach kids through songs. The series premiered on YouTube in 2022.

“We wanted to bring our show to YouTube and YouTube Kids, which provides free access to everyone, so all the kids can enjoy it,” Snoop Dogg said. “I’ve always wanted to create a kid-friendly series that lets kids be kids and is truly representative of the Culture with everything from the music to the characters.”

Does This Leaked Young Thug & Gunna Record Prove A YSL Reunion Looms—Even Amid RICO?

An alleged Young Thug and Gunna leak recently surfaced, and fans are speculating its origins and what it could mean for the YSL label amid the current RICO case.

The rumored exclusive snippet tentatively entitled “France” captures Slime and Wunna in their perspective elements. Thug’s flow glides in and out of rhythmic pockets intact with an infectious high-pitched cadence, while Gunna’s meandering wordplay and flashy metaphors provide for extra razzle dazzle. Some Twitter users believe the leak could be a leftover from Thug’s So Much Fun album era, but I’m personally not all the way convinced that this isn’t an AI-generated song.

To be honest, even if this were to be a Thug and Gunna reunion track, I’m not sure it would be true to their collaborative DNA. I’m not sure why either, because the song is kind of fire—but I think it has something to do with the bubblegum hyper pop cosplaying trap attached to the track. I think it really screams “Ghostwriter uploaded this after scraping an AI-generated Macklemore song.”

However, it’s not that far off to think that we may somehow witness the reunion of Thug and Gunna even as the RICO case continues to ensue. Not only did Gunna show support to his sensei during his recent New York concert, Thug’s pops even co-signed his love for Wunna and cleared him of any wrong-doing in the case.

Check out the alleged leak below and decide for yourself whether it’s legitimate.

“8 Mile” Actor/Rapper Nashawn Breedlove’s Mother Confirms His Death

Nashawn “Ox” Breedlove, best known for portraying Lotto in Eminem’s film 8 Mile, died at the age of 46 on Sunday (September 24). Breedlove’s mother, Patricia, confirmed reports of her son’s death in a Facebook post on Tuesday (September 26).

“It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my beloved son Nashawn Breedlove’s passing,” she wrote. “Many of you knew him by his alias ‘Lotto, ox,’ a name that echoed his resilience and determination. Nashawn was a rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. No one could deny his talent.”

She added, “Nashawn’s departure from this world has left an immense void in my life, one that words cannot fully express. I can’t put into words the pain and hurt that I feel. He was not just my son; he was a remarkable man whose character and strength inspired all who crossed his path.”

Breedlove famously battled Eminem’s character B-Rabbit in the movie 8 Mile. Mickey Factz commended Breedlove for being one of the few people to beat Eminem in a rap battle.

“RIP to one of the few emcee’s to beat Eminem… Lotto from 8 Mile,” Factz wrote. “Who’s friends lovingly called him, OX. You will be missed for your tenacity and aggressiveness.”

These fine people were among the scores of prominent figures who took the stage as performers and speakers during the annual conference and gala.

Overall, the conference serves as a remarkable congregation of visionaries, activists, and influential leaders. It is a platform where crucial discussions and initiatives are put forth, not only to address the needs and aspirations of African Americans but also to influence and impact the broader global Black community. Furthermore, the use of renowned entertainers like T.I., Yo-Yo, EPMD, Shyne Barrow and others as featured speakers underscores the importance of engaging popular culture and entertainment in conveying the message and driving change within the context of the Congressional Black Caucus and its annual conference.

Key issues impacting Black communities in the United States were top priority. These matters include but are not limited to, ending mass incarceration, advancing economic equity, supporting the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, and guaranteeing equal access to free and fair elections via the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

After the educational and well-spoken parts of the day, came the night. Congresswoman Nikema Williams hosted a party for Atlanta, where Tip displayed the lyrical, hit-making prowess fans are all accustomed to for 20-plus years.

“This year, we celebrated 50 years of Hip Hop during ALC, acknowledging Atlanta’s undeniable impact on music and culture. As the last few years have proven, all roads lead through Georgia and Atlanta Influences everything. I had to bring the King of the South, T.I., as the headliner for the inaugural ‘South Got Something to Say’ Sneaker Ball,” Williams said. “He was the perfect embodiment of our celebration.”

T.I. has demonstrated a deep commitment to making a positive impact in his community, leveraging his influence to address pressing social and political issues. His work in criminal justice reform, activism in the community, and efforts to promote civic engagement and political awareness highlight his multifaceted contributions beyond his career in entertainment.

In addition to his birthday, which was September 25th, T.I. has been celebrating the 20th anniversary of Trap Music, the subgenre of rap music with decidedly Southern roots. AllHipHop talked to the rapper/actor/philanthropist about the history of Trap Music and Hip-Hop’s 50th.

MC Lyte Defends Joe Biden After He Called LL COOL J “Boy”

MC Lyte has come to the defense of President Joe Biden for not only calling LL COOL J by the wrong name but also calling him “boy.”

As previously reported by AllHipHop.com, the two Hip-Hop artists were honored on Saturday (September 22) with the Phoenix Award during the 52nd Annual Legislative Conference produced by the Congressional Black Caucus.

“Two of the great artists of our time representing the groundbreaking legacy of Hip-Hop in America, LL Jay Cool J, uhhh…” the POTUS said while stumbling through his speech. “By the way that boy—that man’s got biceps bigger than my thighs.”

MC Lyte later took to social media to shift the tides on his comments. She first thanked everyone for celebrating Hip-Hop culture and her career as the 50th anniversary events continue.

“I want to say that I have nothing but respect, love, and admiration for my big brother LL COOL J,” she said. “For being a pioneer in this business, for helping me write some of my iconic rhymes and for inviting me to be a part of his tribute during the Kennedy Center Honors, a high ranking achievement which has only been bestowed to one Hip-Hop artist to date: to the G.O.A.T. LL COOL J, I will forever thank, honor and love him.”

MC Lyte ultimately shifted the conversation to address Biden’s blunder.

“In regard to the recent occurrence during the Congressional Black Caucus Phoenix Awards, while I do not condone any disrespect of any kind, especially to a Black man we all love and hold in high regard, I must say, I was actually there and I do not believe President Biden’s comments were malintended, he made a mistake, a mistake I’m sure he regrets,” she said. “One of my most fond memories is that of being in the presence of my elders when they make a mistake with a name, sometimes even my own. I pray that we will pay more attention to the historic importance of this moment than the errors that were made in it.

“What we should all spend time focusing on is this: for the first time in history, both the President and Vice President of the United States, together, have acknowledged, embraced and publicly shown their love and appreciation for a monumental achievement in Hip-Hop. Let’s try to keep showing each other love and grace. Long live Hip-Hop!”

MC Lyte didn’t allow any comments on the post— saying in the most dignified way, “I said what I said.”

Busta Rhymes Honored By New York State Assembly; New Music “Coming Soon”

The New York State Assembly recognized Busta Rhymes for his outstanding contribution to rap music on Monday (September 25). According to News 12 New York, the honor was part of its Hip-Hop 50 celebration and the governing body paused to give tribute to one of the state’s most gifted artists.

A News 12 anchor was on deck for the ceremony and revealed Busta had something cooking, saying, “Get ready for some good music from Busta Rhymes coming soon.”

The chart-topper, who was originally in the group Leaders of the New School, boasts 11 studio albums and countless accolades. Bus-A-Bus, Chuck D, Fat Joe, Method Man, French Montana and Rick Ross, recently lent their voices to a campaign advocating for affordable and equitable health care for all Americans. As reported by AllHipHop.com, Fat Joe has been at the forefront of this movement. The MCs linked with the organization Power to the Patients and dropped a public service announcement on Friday (September 22).

Busta Rhymes, like the leader he is, kicked it off. As reported by PEOPLE, the video was strategically dropped to hit right before the healthcare transparency bills votes on Capitol Hill.

The hope was to leverage their voices to get politicians to force the national medical, healthcare and insurance industries to be fair with pricing, especially for the poor and vulnerable.

The first goal is to have hospitals and insurance companies actually post the real prices for their services, prescriptions, procedures, etc.

“Today we confront a healthcare system that’s been rigged against all of us,” they say in the video. “Hospitals force patients to sign contracts for services without ever showing us actual prices. Stifling competition. Overcharging without accountability and we can’t pay. These same contracts allow them to take everything we own.

“Creating so much fear that millions and millions of Americans refuse to enter a hospital. Our health and our lives at stake. This is an American humanitarian crisis. We demand prices and transparency in healthcare.”

Kanye West & Dr. Dre’s Purported “Jesus Is King II” Project Leaks Online

One of Kanye West’s most anticipated projects, the Dr. Dre-produced Jesus Is King II, has been leaked in its entirety. The album started making the rounds on Monday (September 25) and the 10 tracks have sent fans into a frenzy, rejoicing at the celebrity-packed offering they’ve been feenin’ for since 2019.

Eminem, Travis Scott, Pusha T, ASAP Ferg, Ant Clemons, Ty Dolla Sign and Anderson .Paak are among the special guests, although the Eminem song—titled “Use This Gospel (Remix)”— isn’t new. The track was shared in 2020 with fans by the DONDA rapper.

However, there are other remixes of songs on the leaked album such as “Water (Remix),” “Ashes (Remix)” and “Everything We Need (Remix).” Additional tracks include ”LA Monster,” “Follow God,” “God Is,” “Closed On” with Anderson .Paak, “Hands On” with Travis Scott, “On God”  and “This Is.”

Fans are loving it. As one person tweeted, “Jesus is King II is actually flames. YE, WHY MUST YOU HORDE YOUR GOOD S### AND THEN START YAPPING BOUT DUMB S###. least Jonnah Hill saved him from racism at the detriment of claiming the old toxic energy Ye once held.”

Another added, “Bruh, these Jesus is King II leaks got me really shaking my head. I need to be in on these meetings Ye be having with himself when he decides what’s to be released and what isn’t. That verse on “Water” remix is genuinely vintage Ye. Wtf.”

Layzie Bone Posts Encouraging Message As Krayzie Bone Remains Hospitalized

The Bone Thugs-n-Harmony camp has been faced with a tremendous challenge. On Thursday (September 21), beloved member Krayzie Bone checked himself into a Los Angeles area hospital after he started coughing up copious amounts of blood. Doctors soon discovered an artery was leaking in one of his lungs and performed immediate surgery, which was unsuccessful. Krayzie Bone was placed into a medically-induced coma as surgeons plotted their next move. The internet, of course, went wild with speculation. But on Tuesday (September 26), Layzie Bone delivered a message of hope and encouraged Bone Thugs fans to keep praying.

“In this challenging moment, as the immediate and Bone thugs family rallies behind my brother, we humbly ask for a moment of privacy,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “Our family is facing the unexpected hospitalization of Krayzie Bone with strength, and your prayers are a beacon of hope. Soon, we’ll share an update, but for now, let us come together and keep our love and thoughts focused on his recovery. Your support means the world to us, and we truly appreciate your understanding during this time.”

Layzie Bone’s message, shared around 7:45 am PT, puts to rest the notion Krayzie Bone had succumbed to his condition. Krayzie suffers from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease in which the immune system overreacts, causing groups of cells to form clusters of inflamed tissue called “granulomas” in one or more organs of the body, which he revealed he had in 2016.

The news of Kray’s hospitalization went viral and every celebrity on earth seemed to be rooting for him. Speaking to TMZ, DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia—who’s currently working on a joint album with Krayzie—remained in high spirits. He noted he had just seen him the night before he checked himself into the hospital. They were recording multiple songs and really getting into the groove. DJ Paul concluded he thinks Krayzie is “going to be fine.”

LeBron James, Ice-T and Chuck D are among the many wishing Krayzie Bone the best. His foundation, Spread The Love, is also continuing to show its support in every way possible. The organization’s Instagram Stories is full of well wishes for the Cleveland rap legend. AllHipHop is praying for Krayzie’s speedy recovery.

Charlamagne Tha God Reacts To Drake’s “Slime You Out” Going No. 1 After Slamming The Song

Once again, Drake has the No. 1 song in America. His “Slime You Out” single debuted in the top spot of this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart despite a negative review by Charlamagne Tha God.

A recent episode of Charlamagne Tha God’s The Brilliant Idiots podcast included the media personality commenting on Drake’s latest release. According to CTG, there was not much buzz around the record.

“Drake put out a song last Friday and nobody cared,” said Charlamagne on The Brilliant Idiots episode that dropped on September 21. “It came out last Friday and people just started talking about the lyrics yesterday.”

In response, Drake called out The Breakfast Club radio host on his Instagram Story. The Canadian hitmaker referred to Charlamagne Tha God as an “off-brand Morris Chestnut” on social media.

While Charlamagne felt “Slime You Out” did not quite live up to expectations, the SZA-assisted track became Drake’s twelfth chart-topper. He tied The Supremes and Madonna for fifth place on the list of artists with the most all-time Number Ones.

Charlamagne spoke about Drake’s most recent chart victory during The Breakfast Club‘s “Rumor Report” segment on Tuesday (September 26). The South Carolina native played into the speculation that he worked with Drizzy to promote the new collaboration.

“You believe even when I’m lying,” Charlamagne told special guest host Loren LoRosa. He also added, “Well, it’s Drake and SZA. People’s curiosity is going to make them go stream the record and of course, radio is going to play the hell out of it.”

The Radio Hall of Famer later said, “I told y’all yesterday that Drake and I plan these things every time he drops certain records. He wants me to hate on them because all noise is great noise nowadays. And I told y’all the play but nobody believes me ’cause I’m lying. But you should believe me even when I’m lying.”

“Slime You Out” featuring SZA puts Drake one spot behind the King of Pop Michael Jackson (13) for most No. 1 singles for a male soloist. The Beatles currently sit in the overall top spot on that tally with twenty Number Ones.

Boosie Badazz Talks Turning Down $250K To Perform At LGBT Event

Boosie Badazz has been an outspoken critic of certain members of the LGBT community. For example, the Baton Rouge-raised rap star went on a public crusade against openly gay recording artist Lil Nas X.

Back in 2021, Boosie took issue with Lil Nas X kissing another man during his performance at that year’s BET Awards. His criticism of the male-on-male moment then spiraled into personal attacks and threats.

By October of that year, Boosie was catching heat online for calling Lil Nas X a “f#####” and telling the then-22-year-old musician to commit suicide. LNX’s father even got involved in the public feud between the two entertainers.

Boosie has also been very critical of ex-NBA player Dwyane Wade accepting his underage, transgender daughter Zaya Wade. That led to a highly publicized back-and-forth with Dwyane’s wife, actress Gabrielle Union.

It appears Boosie’s staunch views about homosexuality and gender identity even prevented him from making money. In a recent interview with The Danza Project, Boosie recalled putting his personal beliefs over his bank account.

“Companies don’t wanna mess with me for the things I speak about. It’s a lot of losses and it’s a lot of gains also. But I’m not being real for money,” said Boosie. “If that’s the case, I can sell my soul for anything.”

The southerner also stated, “I’ve been offered a quarter-million to go to perform at LGBT community things, big money. I told them I have nothing against it at all, but that’s not what I push and that’s not what I believe in.”
